Received a text message from someone at Kia on May 5, 2021, saying she was just going through their records and noticed I was due for an oil change an thought she would reach out to see if I would like to book. I was happy to book to get it done, and then she offered to have my tires changed as well, I agreed and booked for May 21st at 8:30 in the morning. She let me know they were doing drop off services only and I would need someone to come with me to pick me up. She said when you get to the door just knock I will hear you or call the number on the door to let us know. I thanked her for the text and the booking.
When I arrived on May 21st at 8:15 in the morning I text her again to let her know I was early and received no response. My father then showed up to pick me up and he also had my tires in the back. I proceeded to knock on the door, call the number on the door and send another text to the employee for the next 20 mins. I finally called the kia in antigonish and she said that store was closed down due to a covid exposure. No one called me, emailed me or texted me to tell me my appointment would be canceled. I took time off work, my father took time out of his day to help me out and it was really upsetting. The only thing the girl on the phone offered me was to drive my car to antigonish so she could squeeze me in... in a lock down... when you can’t leave your community. So I declined and all that was said was a simple “sorry”. I still have not received a text back from the New Glasgow Kia employee, no apology or compensation for my time wasted. What makes me more mad is that they reached out to me to make the appointment, had they not I would of probably booked after the lockdown was over as that’s why I was putting it off ...needless to say I’ll never be taking my business back to Kia again.
