After many calls and emails through to the dealership there has been no follow up with me and I am without an emergency tire solution in case of a flat. Someone is liable for the safety check. Service staff very honest. Bought a used car of a former customer of theirs who passed away, they were very helpful with the maintenance records while keeping all the information related to the previous owner confidential (the way it should be), I went asking for advice on repairs I openly said I would be performing with them, yet they gave me very honest advice that saved me a good chunk of money and more importantly time, as they convinced me not to replace certain parts that never fail on a car like mine. I will consider them certainly for buying Genuine parts when there is no better alternative and will chose them to carry out certain repair that it would be very complicated and time consuming for me to do at my house given the lack of a hoist.

Had my winters put on. They were on their own set of rims, in TIED tire bags in my back seat. Not only did the appointment take twice as long as promised, the summer tires that were removed from my vehicle were lazily tossed back into the tire bag with ZERO attempt to clean or even wipe them down. This would be find, except they could not even TIE THE BAGS BACK UP. So now my back seats are effectively ruined with gross, muddy, wetness everywhere. This was such sloppy work for a job that a trained 12 year could do well in under 45 minutes. As if that wasn't enough, they price gauge disappointingly high. A job that would be $40-50 anywhere else was $100, which I was not informed of prior to the service. Unacceptable.

Took my car in for an oil change. When I picked it up the 'engine hood open' warning came up on my dash. They noted it on my invoice. When I asked about it they said the sensor must have broken during the oil change. Naturally I was upset especially when they quoted me $260 to repair it. When I called to speak with a manager he confirmed that in fact it broke in their care. I asked if I bought the part would they repair it free of labor charges. He said no, so I said well unfortunately you have lost all of my future business. He replied "10-4" and hung up the phone. Thanks for damaging my vehicle and being disrespectful, never have I been mistreated by any other Volvo dealership! Awful

October 9, 2019 I was at Carling Motors to replace coolant system as service campaign S29846 and R29936).Service advisor Paul Gauthier explain detail of this service as well how long it will take to finish this work. Because I couldn't wait so long, he provided me courtesy vehicle - brand new 2020 XC90, so I was able to do my daily trips this day. And when I came back next morning my car was ready, and in addition to scheduling service software was also upgraded (installed new control modules).Thank you for excellent work, Paul.

I just picked up my (new to me) 2004 Volvo C70 that I bought privately and brought in to Carling Motors for a mechanical check, some body work, and a full detailing. The car now looks fabulous and is running like a top. Thanks to Steve and Nadia in the body shop who were cheerful and efficient throughout the process and to Lee in service for their coordinated effort to get the car restored back to nearly new condition. I plan to go back to Carling Motors for subsequent servicing of this car.

They are quick to repair. But you might wait a month for an appointment. They gave got communication during the process. There's usually 1or 2 extra things wrong that I couldn't detect prior to bringing it in, which makes me skeptical. But they ask before going ahead with it.

I had a 2008 Mazda 3 with over half a million kilometres on it. When I brought it to other auto shops for repair everyone thought I was crazy for continuing to keep the car running. I brought it to the parts shop at Carling Mazda and the team was so excited about the car and were completely on board with helping me to keep it running! Unfortunately the car was in a fender bender so I called Carling Mazda and they were so great, they sent me a tow truck right away and explained the full process to me, including what I needed to get from my insurance company. Unfortunately insurance didn’t fix the car so I worked with the sales team who did an amazing job finding me a new Mazda I can keep for the next 10 years. I can’t recommend these guys enough they are great!

The worst customer service I have received in Ottawa. The sales person said outright that I probably can't afford a Volvo because I currently drive a less expensive brand, which was incredibly rude.We also had to wait for 30 min before anybody approached us. There were no other clients waiting and the sales people were just going about their business and ignoring us. Never coming back to Volvo.

Bought a new Mazda 3 sport this week. Salesman was Good, no complaints about him. Only complaint is the financial lady that miss lead myself and my wife on the actual cost of the extended warranty, found that out when i went to pick up the car. (4x the cost of what she quoted us) Needless to say I was not happy and almost cancelled the purchase of my car ( i have 0 tolerance for BS). Would've been a great experience if it wasn't for that. Did not take the extended warranty.

Was a customer over at St. Laurent and was extremely unhappy with the level of service. Carling location was able to promptly schedule me for recall appointment. Additionally, once I arrived, the identified a second recall that St Laurent had failed to tell me about but I had brought the vehicle in for service issues related to the recall. Lastly, the service guys were able to diagnose a brake issue that was covered under warranty. To top everything off my car was washed! 1000x better than St. Laurent. Good work guys and I will continue to bring my Volvo back here for service.

Jason and blake were very friendly. After a bad experience with audi we came here and weren’t sure what to expect. Jason was very polite and explained the car features and asked us to take it for a long drive. He didn’t force us to make any decisions but asked us to consider options. He was in constant touch and answered my questions politely. When we had concerns about a high downpayment requirement that audi had demanded, we spoke to blake who calmed us down and explained the process. He was very professional and honest in explaining how he was going to talk to the bank and make it work for us. Even on the day of delivery, it was all ready by the time we arrived. Overall i would rate the sales experience very high. Unlike audi, thank you for treating your customers with a lot of respect.

The staff at the Carling Volvo dealership were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. After test driving the XC90, I was set on getting it. Roger, the GM, made the entire purchasing process seamless. A nice personal touch I would like to highlight is Roger picking me up from the BMW dealership and driving me to the Volvo one and handing me the keys himself - customer service like that is rare these days! 5/5.

Have been buying and servicing mine and my family Mazdas here for well over 30 years. The sales are as good as any place I've bought a car from (bought 2 personally from here) and service is similar. I've found that the 'DNA' of the Carling Motors group to be similar between Carling Mazda, Volvo and Star Motors, which is overall trustworthy. I'd recommend them for both the quality of their service and reasonable sales without being particularly high pressure and overall experience.

Meh. We had a superficial bang which meant having some body work done with the collision centre, covered by insurance. They were responsive and amiable but completely inflexible. I'm not a mechanic yet 17 days to change a door, knock a panel out and paint it seems excessive and given they knew we were a one car family expecting a baby that very week there was no effort made to expedite the work. The quoted cost was also 1/3 of the cost of the whole car, completely understand that they're a business and profiting off insurance claims but makes one wonder if this is consistent with their standardised pricing processes. They also partner with bytek who initially sold us our car with illegal tires, and did some work for us on our breaks later on - they guy saw my car seat and admitted he ripped me off! I guess he felt bad. I guess, if you go here just don't expect any favours.

I am completely disappointed with the service provided at Carling Volvo, I brought my car for a simple scheduled Maintenance (no major repairs) and it took them 2 days to complete the work, 7hrs the first day and 1 and half hour for the rest and that is completely unacceptable. I would not recommend Carling Motors to anyone, I will be trying the dealership in St. Laurent next time but unfortunately they are under the same parent company, I however hope their staff is better qualified. The reason why I bring my car to Volvo is because I'm a firm believer that certain cars have a better appeal and resell value when maintained from day 1 at the dealership, not to mention the warranty agreement and by paying a premium cost even for scheduled maintenance you should also receive premium customer service and mechanical expertise.

Was greeted with open arms when I arrived at Volvo. Only going in to test drive an XC60 and the drive was phenomenal. Being loyal BMW owner for many years maybe a change was needed. And sure enough I left happily with a brand new Volvo XC60. Thanks to everyone including Jason at Volvo.

I have bought one pre owned car from this dealership (Mazda) , I used to service my Mazda with the other side of the shop now I service my Volvo there. Service side of things is very good. Yes getting them on the phone is an impossible task thank God I work a cross the road so I just show up there. The service advisors are great never trying to push any sales on me and know everything there's to know about my car. Sales side of things is a bit different. I wanted to buy a car off them but they weren't very responsive. Perhaps they couldn't find the car I was looking for, not sure. Perhaps one day although I don't like the new Volvos so I hope I'll be driving mine forever.

Many of us hate the process of buying cars - I decided to get a Volvo from Carling Motors Volvo. What a surprise! Met Brandon A. who we had previously contacted by email. He was simply an absolute pleasure to deal/interact with. He is down to earth and just seemed so honest and understanding. He made the whole process devoid of the usual unpleasantness that I have experienced in past years and at other dealerships. If you are interested in a Volvo, I highly recommend you drop in and see Brandon A. Whether or not you buy a car, it will be relaxing and stress free. Brought vehicle in for a scheduled appointment for warranty work. I missed the shuttle due to inclement weather and asked for a ride to work. Was told I could wait for the next shuttle, which was in 90 minutes. My office is a 10 minute drive. Wasn't even offered a ride to Westboro transit station, which I walked to and then caught the bus. I wrote to the GM and after one week, I aim still awaiting a response. Volvo markets its vehicles as "luxury" but the service isn't even utilitarian. Nice vehicles but service is a huge part of the ownership experience and it is sorely lacking in Ottawa, where both dealerships are owned by the same group. I will go elsewhere for my next vehicle purchase.

My recent service experience at Carling Motors Volvo was precisely what I have come to expect from this dealership: nothing short of excellent! Notwithstanding a serious reluctance to travel anywhere at all during this crisis, I drove to Ottawa from Toronto specifically to have my car serviced at this dealership, rather than any other Volvo dealership closer to my main residence in Toronto. What motivates this level of customer loyalty? In a word, trust. In the 3 years that I have had my XC 60 serviced at Carling Motors, Dan and his team have earned my trust not only by virtue of the knowledge, technical expertise, professional conduct, and efficiency that they demonstrate, but by the care and personal attention that they provide. Sarah, the appointment coordinator, is very friendly and helpful, and as the initial point of contact for arranging service, she does an excellent job of setting the tone for a great customer service experience by responding to calls promptly and staying in communication to confirm appointment details. Phone and email responses are where many companies are falling short during these challenging times, so it is notable when a business operation maintains good communication with customers right now. She also helped to coordinate with Dan so as to provide a car for me to drive while mine was being serviced. Also, knowing that I needed to get back to Toronto as quickly as possible to look after my mother who is in her 90’s, Dan made sure that my winter tires were installed and a regular inspection performed first thing in the morning, so that I could drive back that day. It was also very comforting to see how he and his staff are taking all precautions, following protocols, and disinfecting surfaces to ensure everyone’s safety. It is this genuine concern for their customers and the great work that they consistently perform on my car that has earned my trust and is one of the main reasons that I have decided that when I am ready to buy a new car, it will once again be a Volvo.

Sadly, the service quality has steadily gone down over the last few years. I brought in my Volvo with intermittently working air conditioning. The mechanic wanted to replace the compressor, which needed to be ordered, which would take a couple of weeks. Instead of topping up the system while waiting for parts, and wIthout my authorization, they made the system completely non-operational. "Government regulations"! Had I not brought the car in for servicing, the slow leak would have continued, but because I wanted it repaired, they couldn't allow it to work a bit longer. Did they have to break it completely while making me wait for parts they don't stock? And charging me plenty for the privilege? When I called to complain, the service advisor had nothing helpful to suggest, and when I wrote the General Manager, I received no answer. I will be taking my business elsewhere. It seems satisfying the paying customer is of no concern here.

I brought my CX-5 in for repairs after it was broken into through an insurance claim. They did an amazing job with the repairs, kept me updated throughout, very friendly staff in the bodyshop, and got my car back to me quicker than I thought. Overall I would recommend to anyone to bring their car there if they need repairs. I didn't buy my car at Carling Mazda but after this experience I will definitely visit them the next time I'm in the market for a new one.

In case you are interested in buying a Volvo Car...DON'T. 1. Canada, Volvo leads you to believe that they sell Swedish cars, however their cars are actually manufactured in China. 2. Most cars sold in Canada have undisclosed repairs, which are not recorded in CARFAX against the VIN number. You need to explicity ask about previous accidents or they will not mention them. 3. Volvo disk brakes will rust and the brakes leave excessive carbon dust. 4. Volvo safety features are very experimental; you can kill someone if you change lanes while using its cruise system, as they can accelerate uncontrollably. 5. The lane guidance system is for a unknown fixed speed, because at most speeds the car will not stay driving straight. 6. The ceiling lining are supar; will tear within a few uses. 7.The fittings are also subpar; their trunk lining are superficially placed and will constantly slip out of place. 8. While being serviced they had an accident with my car and then proceeded to repair and repaint without informing me. Volvo Canada is aware of this fact and has no issues with this. 9. Volvo Canada or Volvo International are a self serving organization. In the event of any dispute with the dealer, they speak nice ,but side with the dealer. And if you were sold a lemon, Volvo Canada or Volvo International will not stand behind their cars.

I absolutely love my car, no denying that. The prices for parts and services are ludicrous, but it's an export car so I knew what to expect. The thing that made me give a bad review is that with the price I paid for a few repairs, I was expecting to be shuttled after work ( 4pm ). I learned that they could not come get me AT THE DEALERSHIP. I only wish someone would have told me when I took my appointment so I would have not went there in the first place !

Bad experience with their service department. Slow slow service. Not on time, everything is 1-2 hour wait. Staff are not willing to help and even when they do, you are made to feel like they did you a huge favour I've dealt with other Volvo dealers that are way more helpful. Not recommended.

I've bought a lot of cars over the years but shopping for a Volvo was the best experience. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, no predatory salespeople, zero pressure, but as soon as I made up my mind they moved into high gear to make it happen for me. Jason and Nicholas, you did all the hard work to make this happen for me and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thanks as well to the used vehicle manager who gave me more than a fair price for my trade. This is my first Volvo but it won't be my last. Much of that is the car but it's also the dealership.

I would give them zero stars if it was an option. Carling Volvo has the worst customer service I've ever seen: the service department never answers the phone, they don't return calls, and they don't confirm appointments booked online. This has happened to me several times and, for that reason, I've started bringing my car to other mechanics specialized in European cars. Don't get me wrong, despite the fact that Volvos are expensive, depreciate drastically and are expensive to maintain, I love the brand and its history, but the experience with Carling Volvo has really disgusted me, and I will not buy another one because I don't want to deal with them ever again. By the way, Carling Volvo, don't even waste your time writing a standard reply just to look good on Google review: If you really cared about your customers, you would have answered the phone, returned my calls, and confirmed the appointments I made online. I have noticed the huge noise since December. I had dropped my car in Volvo service center in Carling Motors last Tuesday, they notified me on phone for the problem and cost. Upon my agreement they replaced the wheel barrier and fixed the problem. The service is excellent, shuttle bus is lovely.

Terrible customer service. They say one thing on the phone and a different story in person - of course meaning more money. The guy behind the computer was rudely passive aggressive and "Frank" sitting in the office was outright rude!
