Bought a 2011 Sorento from Frank last year and it has been a great vehicle! Easy and smooth transaction, walked in there one afternoon to test drive the truck and was signing the papers a little while later. Side note I had just come from Huntclub Dilawri Jeep on my lunch break and was totally ignored in the showroom and on the lot. The receptionist even called for a salesman for me to look at a few trucks (santa fe and sorento) but nobody showed up so i left and went to carconnect on my way back to work. The rest is history!

Went looking for a 2016 Civic Coupe for my wife and found this beauty at Car Connect Ottawa. After creeping Frank and Joe through the many online reviews, I decided to check them out in person to see if what I heard was true. Pros: - Frank and Joe are very pleasant to deal with. - They had a very low markup (approx. 5%) on the vehicle I was looking at. - I got a great deal for a vehicle valued much higher elsewhere. Cons: - The vehicle I was interested in had been in an accident previously (cosmetic damage only) - Not a lot of room to haggle - Had to drive a couple hours out of the way to view and then again to pick up the car (not ready same day) All in all, I would shop at Car Connect Ottawa again. Good guys. Joe seems like a genuinely nice and trust worthy individual. Frank is a good salesman and takes his lead from Joe. Note: Should anything change with the vehicle, I'll report it here.

Hello, I should dropped a review few years ago.. but I was young and excited with my 2004 corolla. The car was so amazing I have recently upgraded to a newer corolla. This car lasted me a very long time. Going back to 2007 when I bought my 2004 corolla. The sales person forgot his name but I'm sure he's still there.. he did a great job I test drove the car loved it .. he set up my financing with TD which was amazing...my dad helpped with the down payment we did a larger down payment then asked. my first car buying experience was excellent. My husband and I went visited few months go to look there was no pressure.. but we ourselves were unsure which car we wanted.. we ended up visiting Toronto got a good deal.. but we will be coming back for our second car very soon. Keep doing what you do. Love how your down-payment requirement remains the same. Keep on doing what you do best. Excellent service.. not like ur avg dealers.

I don’t know where to start because there is so much to say... During the COVID-19 pandemic, I wanted to buy a RAM Promaster to convert it into a camper van and I could not find one in decent shape at a decent price... except for the one they had at Car Connect. The thing is that I am living in Quebec city and the dealer is in Ottawa (4.5h drive). That being said, I messaged the email linked to their kijiji post to have more pictures of certain parts of the vehicle and I received more than what I have asked for in an hour, that was great! The shape of the vehicle convinced me that I wanted to go forward with it, so their awesome salesman offered me to bring it to any garage I wanted for a mechanical inspection (which he obviously did in a short amount of time). Then, in order to be able to buy a car from anywhere else than Quebec and get a license plate from Quebec, you need to pass one of the most strict mechanical verification you can imagine. Once again, their salesman offered me to do all of the required repairs found during the first mechanical inspection to fulfill the requirements of Quebec safety check! He repaired a ton of stuff, brought it for the safety check, had something to fix, brought it back again, and voilà! The price was perfect for the shape of the vehicle and I only had to come to Ottawa once, what a great experience! Thank you for everything you did, I truly hope that this review will convince many people to choose Car Connect! Joe was my salesman by the way :)

Just bought a 2011 Santa Fe sport from Frank at CarConnect. I showed up and Frank let me test drive a couple SUVs. Frank's really easy to work with. We talked about cars, trucks, golf, etc. Just a normal guy, not pushy and annoying like other salesmen I've seen at other dealerships. It was a pleasant purchase. We also exchanged emails so he was always available for me. I then met Joe the owner and he also seemed like a nice guy. They gave me 2k for my car and the transition was super easy. They didn't negotiate on the price but agreed to give me a full tank of gas. The car was cleaned, safetied, and certified. I'd recommend you check this place out and see what they have for sure. The prices seem fair as well. Make sure to check online first and look at what you may want to test drive because most of the information wasn't on the car and I was told a couple times to check the site listing for more details. That said, you can show up and see what they have, and you can test drive one right away. So all in all, it was a good transaction, and I love my new SUV. Check them out for sure.

If you are planning to buy a used car from CarConnect, our experience may help to know what to expect: 1. While the car salesman we first contacted, Frank, was very courteous and helpful, his boss Joe was rude. He challenged us to show him a car of the same model and year for sale at a lower price than his quoted price. We found one and showed it to him on the internet. His answer was “why don’t you buy from that dealership?” 2. When we picked up the car and drove home (200 km from Ottawa), a clicking noise progressively got worse to a grinding noise that became embarrassing as the noise was loud and obnoxious making people on the street to stare at the car. After contacting CarConnect I was told to take the car to their mechanic, which when I arrived, did not expect me and I again had to explain the situation. The problem was due to a incorrectly placed plate on the brake which took less than 30 minutes to fix. Our question was why wasn’t this checked at the time of releasing the car to the customer? 3. We took the car to the manufacturer's dealer for further check up because of our safety concerns on the car. Sure enough, the dealer's mechanic found one of the control arms and all four stabilizer links to be defective. The brake fluid was rusty that needed replacement, which was not done after CarConnect's mechanic replaced all four brakes before us purchasing the car. At first, we were skeptical of the manufacturer's mechanic, but the mechanic took us into the garage and showed us the defects in the parts that needed to be replaced, especially the control arm which he stated was a safety item. However, CarConnect stated they completed a safety inspection the day before we picked up the car. After the manufacturer's dealer completed all this work, and after spending additional money which shouldn't have been spent only two weeks after owning the car, the car now drives like it supposed to. All of the repairs cost us an additional $2000 within two weeks of purchasing the car.

We’ve just bought a car from Joe. The more we were dealing with him, the more we liked him. We wanted a good car for a good price. We got both. First, we wanted to check the car with our regular car mechanics we’re trusting for over 10 years and Joe agreed to that without hesitation. And for a good reason. Our guys were thrilled with how solid the car is. Second, Joe is honest with his prices. We did our homework and took time to research prices. Joe’s prices of the vehicles we considered were built at a low trade-in value (according to Canadian Black Book). Having a good offer from the start saves you the hassle of bargaining. There is no pressure (Hurry up, the car will disappear!), no swarming (the salesman, his supervisor and then THE boss), no cajoling (I'd like to give that beautiful deal to the front line worker), no playing on emotions (overflowing good will with a Reciprocate tag or Don't do this to me mimics). Good grief, it takes several visits to a dealer to get closer to a price that makes sense! Our car is no longer on Joe's site to show you but look at his Corollas! If I could have it shipped to Poland (possible but expensive), I would buy his Corolla 2020 for my niece. Well, I would need to buy a winning ticket as well to do so. Anyway. We’re fully satisfied. I drove all the way from Hamilton to Ottawa to buy a truck. I was told that the truck is clean and no rust on it. Pictures were taken to show me but only of the areas that were not body filled or rusted. Got there after 5.5 hours driving from Hamilton and Joe (the manager/salesman) would not even show up because he was anticipating that I may get upset. Truck was covered in bondo (body filler) and painted badly over it and over the rust spots. Only a sick human being would lie and drag someone on a 12 hour drive instead of being honest and tell me the truth. Beware of these crooks.

Bought my car at Car Connect in the dead of winter. In my opinion, that is the way to go if you want to truly test the performance of a car – how it holds the road, how it breaks in the snow/on ice, how it reacts to snow, ice, freezing rain, etc. You want to test your car in the worst possible conditions. Testing a car on a nice bright summer day sure is nice, but you may realize soon enough that your car may not hold the road as well as you thought, come winter time…. Joe knows that, he understands that and he commended me for doing so. Car Connect offers great service, great availability, good selection and competitive prices. Car Connect attends various car auctions on a weekly basis. If they don’t have what you want it stock, they’ll find it at an auction.

Very bad experience. My partner and I were expecting the dealer to apply for a financing of $12000, and he instead applied for a $16000. We were only told afterwards that this covered an optional extended warranty, that we would have like to know about before. There was a complete opacity in the communication here that forced us to cancel our purchase, as we could not trust the dealer for any further handling of the business.

Very un happy what took place was unethical and wrong. The standard in good business is honest good service is the heart of a good business. I had no such luck with car connect they treated me as if they were humans, my truck was the worst thing to ever happen to me. At first I was promised a low intrest rate on financing then when I went to look at the paper work he told me that we dont have time to go over the paper work he had another meeting so I had to sign at that time. The intrest rate was higher than it was supposed to be due to what the bank told him my rate would be 20% later on I found out he had added a bunch of stuff I had not asked for like a clear coat, anti rust module, 3 year warenty on the motor bumping the cost up a bunch more. My truck was not ready when they prommised and I had to wait 4 more days to pick it up. When I went to pick the truck up it was not clean at all and when I got a chance to go over the paperwork the actual intrest was equal to 47% a rate that should be criminal. The story goes on less than a year later my truck fails inspection in Manitoba all the breakes, tires, cv-boot, axel seals had to be changed. I prey every day that they don't cheat anyone else. Finding out that I was placed in a program called special financing where the dealer gets a kick back was the nail in the coffin.

Purchased a 2012 civic 2 years ago and as a first time consumer from a dealership, Joe made the whole process simple, seamless, and the turnaround was very quick. The car drove excellent and aside from regular oil changes it never cost me an extra dime, not to mention the price was at least $1500 less than anything comparable in the city. Fast forward 2 years and the car was unfortunately written off due to a collision with a deer. Car connect was my first and only stop, as they had exactly what I was after and the price was once again well below all comparable vehicles. My experience from car connect has once again been remarkable and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them

Joe looked after me and not once did I hear "oh ya, there's just this fee that we are forced to charge you". What you see is what you get and I do believe he gave me a great deal!!! About 2 months after purchasing my Juke, the muffler came apart. It was possibly even my fault. I called Joe and he returned my call within minutes. First of all I love my car, but I did have a few little issues with the purchase. When I went to pick up the car after purchase the brakes were squealing and the blower control knob was not working properly. I brought it back and was told the squealing would stop once the brakes wore in and that the temp control was working since he was able to yank out the knob and crank it to the left to get it to work. It has given me problems ever since the car was purchased so this did not fix it. I've just learned to live with it. The brakes were done improperly and the squealing never stopped. After three weeks of this I asked Joe to have it fixed, he was very agreeable and arranged for us to bring it back to the place that did the safety and it was fixed. It hadn't been done right the first time. There was an anti rust thing installed on the car after we signed the papers but before we picked it up. It was just assumed that we would want to pay extra for this, which I found a little insulting, that it had not been discussed beforehand. It was yanked out when we said we didn't want it. I was also not pleased with how the financing went. I was shown a few different monthly costs and indicated that I wanted the cheapest option (I did not want a warranty or any extras). I was quite surprised as it turns out the prices he was showing me ALL included an optional extra warranty, which I was clear about not wanting. Thankfully I very carefully read all the documents and called out a few things and he had to print the papers out an extra two times as things that were NOT agreed to were put on the original documents. I felt he was getting a bit huffy with me at the end about having to reprint the documents which was ridiculous as these extra costs should not have been added without my knowledge and permission. Be VIGILANT when buying a car, that is pretty common sense advice but just a friendly reminder. Read everything carefully! It saved my ass. I love my car and I am not unhappy with the purchase but I am just posting this so people can be aware of the issues I had. Overall I found Joe and Frank to be pleasant to deal with and I feel like I got a good price on the car. I am just being honest about my experience. In no way am I trying to scare anyone off from purchasing from them, a friend of mine bought off them and had a great experience. I did not have a terrible experience but I think 3/5 is an accurate review.
