I returned my car there in March. Got good service from the financial consultant and everything went smoothly when he transferred my lease to the new driver. The only thing I would have made better is the customer service section. It seems like people do not talk to eachother because its two different departments, but I had to repeat my situation multiple times which kind of lost me time and efficiency.

Recently bought a used car from Rick there. I've bought from Rick before and he is the only one I trust to help guide through the process! I do have to say however, that the finance person there, is terrible. Zero people skills, and makes you feel like you are wasting his time. Had I not already known Rick previously and trusted his abilities, I would have left and not returned. All in all, Rick is 5 star, finance is 0 star, Bank Street Toyota on a whole, I'd say is 4.5 stars

I am disappointed, when I seen the car I wanted to purchase I noticed it was scratched it was a used car but not that old, so before purchasing the car I asked the sales man if they were be able to buffer the scratches off the car, his own words were ye the car would be completely washed and detailed, but guess what when after I paid off the car and then I got a call to pick it up and went there it was in the garage inside the lights were dim and the car looked shiny and clean but as soon I drove off I parked in the sunshine, I noticed all the scratches were there and even inside car was just vacuumed slightly. I knew this place wanted to do the minimum work, this is a message to the owner. I am driving the car now, thank you but I will not be coming back for any maintenance or future business. PS: this is message is to the people of Ottawa, if you still want to buy a car from them, look at the contract before signing, because in my case they had added couple of services to the contract without my consent and they absolutely charged me for these services lol. people always read your contracts before signing because when it comes to it they will tell you "you have signed and agreed to it".

I had recently been to Bank Street Toyota looking at a new SUV. I wasn't sure if it was something that was going to happen but I met with the GM Trevor who set me up with Alex to go over options and get the right fit. I was looking more due to price at the CH-R but after going over everything I wound up with a brand new 2021 Toyota RAV-4 AWD. The vehicle is amazing!! The staff are exceptional from the moment I walked in to the time I drove the vehicle off the lot. Moe in finance was fantastic with options for financing and the different options for extended warranty. From start to finish and the after care was smooth, friendly, and taking what is a big purchase comes the stress of decision making, they make it a great experience! Well done Bank Street Toyota!!! fantastic staff!!!

My wife and I had the pleasure of dealing with Jesse main . He went over and above to get us into our new Rav 4 and we couldn't be happier! He worked day and night to make sure we were happy with our purchase . Everything was laid out infront of us there was no secrets or taking advantage of, unlike some of the other dealerships around town. Rude attitude of Finance department, I had a question regarding my car's finance and after hours of calling and trying someone to help me, could connect with finance manager, the guy suddenly changed his attitude as I said my car is financed with a different Toyota dealer, but since I couldn't find anyone to answer my question, I called bank street Toyota and tried to ask my question from finance manager. Do NOT go here if you can help it. Go anywhere else. I brought my car in for a recall and came out with a broken car which they refused to take responsibility for but would gladly charge me to fix it. Extremely dishonest and frustrating and sadly typical from what I've heard from others. I now have to bring my car into another mechanic and pay to fix the damage that Toyota caused. I will never bring my car to Bank Street Toyota ever again.

I had a great experience with Bank Street Toyota Dealership special with Mohammed Bannay actually even the past sales representative too to be honest. I been a customer for years in this dealership and I have a lot of friends that works their too, and thats the reason why I'm confident to buy from this dealer. bought a 2015 gmc with 116k on it and within three weeks of buying it the engine stopped working due to lifters failing and I had specifically mentioned to them about checking this and they said they had (they never did) had to fight with them on having it towed back to the dealership, then getting it fixed, It took weeks of trying to get a call back. After having it fixed by them the same part broke again within the same month. had to take the truck to another dealership to be fixed properly. had the salesman yell at me ,hang up and told it’s not their problem anymore. total lack of communication between staff and the customer.

What a pleasant surprise! We had almost given up on Toyota after consistently sloppy and uncaring service at another major Ottawa dealer. Mendes staff were cheerful and attentive to our list of concerns. They did the necessary service + made notes about other things we should consider having done. THe waiting area is clean and welcoming — but also has a large screen showing the status of vehicles in service.

Wonderful dealership to buy/lease a car from... new & used car sales staff are so friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. No pressure.. dealership has recently had a facelift so everything looks just great! Body shop does amazing restoration should your car be in an accident. Only issue I have with this dealership is the service department. Painfully slow service.. not advised to wait unless you have hours to spare..

I had an amazing customer experience with the best Service Technician, Pedro. Previously I came into the shop and got an update for my car audio system. Pedro was friendly, accurate, and intelligent in regards to all aspects of my vehicle. He took more time than necessary to assist me with my issue. I contacted Pedro again due to another issue with my radio and again he took more time out of his day to fully assist me with my issue. avoid at all costs, I took my Toyota here to find touch up paint because I care about my car. Horrible sales team. The team themselves are very disorganized and have a serious issue with miscommunication amongst themselves as well as with clients. The team profiles clients and will only sell cars to customers they believe fit their "standard". If they believe you are not worth their time, they will constantly push lies in hopes that you will give up and leave. They will waste your time and take no accountability for their mistakes or unnecessary attitudes. The pre-owned sales manager, Ben France, is extremely unprofessional and seriously lacks any leadership competencies. They do not respect your appointment times, will feed you lies just so that you leave the store, and will not even let you test drive a vehicle that you are interested in purchasing. All of these tactics are used against you solely based on their discrimination and profiling once you walk in the door. After having to deal with Ben and Maria, I highly recommend not to waste your time at this dealership.

We arrived at the end of the day and Maria and team stayed late to accommodate a few test drives and answer my myriad of questions. My recent experience at this dealership was sub par to say the least. The sales representative was not inviting and spoke over us. Didn't present good customer service and seemed to be in a rush. Met with the financial director who was abrasive with my sister and i, and did not appear very friendly. He did not let us finish our conversation as he was rushing to go help another customer. I would not do business with this dealership. They do not make you feel welcome.

AMAZING!!! Ask for Moe (sales division) when you go. Recently I purchased a new car from this dealership. All of the staff did an exceptional job helping me through the process, making it a very smooth transaction, though one sales member in particular made it especially great. His name is Moe. Now, Moe went above and beyond to help me get the car that I wanted. He coordinated everything between me and the service team, and I have to say there were no hiccups. Not one. I didn't even have to wait. Just fantastic!!! Mo got me squared away in no time. Also, the level of communication between Moe and his customers is phenomenal. He gets back to you more than reasonably fast and does not disappoint. Financing a vehicle is a serious commitment, and doing your research is only half the battle. Finding the right dealership and the right sales person to conduct business with is challenging enough. She was very gracious with me all the way. Recognizing that this is a really substantial purchase! I had gone to one other Toyota dealership and had to wait 30 mins for one test drive and 45 for another (the latter with my Grandkids in tow). And I had called ahead and arranged for both of these appointments. They were so disorganized with trying to find keys, vehicles Etc Alexandra (& Joey) were ready and able on both of the times! This dealership seemed very organized and friendly! I also met with Hassan, the Financial Service Manager to go over financing options and maintenance and protection. He explained things great! And again, no pressure! Both of these individuals had a great personality and sense of humour! I would not hesitate to recommend Alexandra, Hassan and the Bank St Ottawa Toyota dealership!

I have been to Mendes Toyota for service several times and each time the customer service reps appear to do everything that they can not to serve me. I thought it was a one-time occurrence (I understand paperwork need to be filed, calls need to be made etc.), however I experience the same low level of customer service each time I visit. Almost every time I go, the staff are watching the clock for their end-of-shift and my most recent visit I found out that her online banking was more important that service the line-up of customers. It came to a point where I switched to using another repair place. Recently, I had to return due to a recall and wanted to give the location another chance. No change in customer service and the techs didn’t perform the service that I asked for but still tried to charge me for it. I am consistently disappointed with Mendes Toyota. If they are genuinely busy, perhaps there is a need to look at the processing procedure of service tickets because it is taking up the majority of their time or it’s being used as an excuse. I do need to acknowledge Ian, he seems to be the only customer service representative that is experienced and genuinely interested in serving his customers. He is friendly, knowledgeable and can explain what you need very well.

Was very disappointed as the person who took the appointment was not present nor was the vehicle. I had explicitly asked to see a specific vehicule and there were none on the lot and spoke to a guy who had is mask under his chin. Outcome of this was me going to another dealership that evening and purchasing my vehicle there. I think the lesson learned here for you is that you should not mislead clients to come to your store. Very frustrating when we take time off just to do so.

I ended up not finding that person, but instead speaking to a salesperson that not only made me feel comfortable and gave me all the information I needed, but was honest to a fault and made me not want to go look with other dealerships. But Ali Said (my salesperson) did not stop there; he went above and beyond to make sure that my car would get to me on time, from answering my impatient calls and stupid questions, to making sure that he delivered the car himself at uncomfortable hours for him. Purchased a demo vehicle from Bank Street Toyota in February through Moe Bannay. Moe was very respectful and courteous throughout the process, but the transaction took a lot longer than expected because the vehicle was out on loan and there was some back-and-fourth on certain fees and charges being applied that were against the guidelines of Ontario's own auto dealership association. Moe was very helpful in securing a loaner vehicle while we waited for the vehicle to be returned and detailed prior to pick-up, once I had put down the deposit for purchase. In the end I think it was a very fair deal, but come very prepared with comparable prices and be firm with what you want.

Bought a new Toyota from here this month. Came back to this dealership after several months of car shopping around town. Earlier during this year we dealt with one of their salesperson Arash. He was so polite and well-mannered that both me and my wife decided that if do end up buying a car we will go back to this dealership and buy the car from him. This time we discovered that Arash has been promoted to Finance Manager (he deserved it) , and we had to deal with another salesperson Mike, who was equally nice. But Arash was still there going out of his way to help us. Amazing guy. Overall great experience. 4 stars because the salespeople need to be more organized when dealing with the paperwork pertaining to the sale and the front desk staff needs to be more enthusiastic and upbeat when dealing with a prospective customer.

Worth one star for the good sales person that I dealt with, other than that total disappointment. One of worst dealerships you will ever deal with. Purchased Toyota Certified Preowned Rav4 for $22,500 from them. Finance (Hassan) added extra $$ in the final bill for no reason. Finance dept. never answers their phones, never checks their phone messages and never call back when they say will. I had to go back about 4 times to get my vehicle. When went to pick up the vehicle, gave me one key and said all ready to go and no other paperwork, no ownership or or any other paperwork. While they tried to find second key and ownership documents, I checked the vehicle and it still had old tires, defective blower, didn't even know if they did oil change. The technician never looked at the vehicle for safety and inspection. After 3 days finally got ownership, tires and certification and inspection, not sure how they got it transferred to my name without inspection. To top it off, after having the vehicle for 3 weeks, front tire almost fell off and bolts were not tight. Not one bolt but all of them. Now I am not sure if the bolts on the wheels are damaged or not. In the mean time, they said they would call me when they find or order get a new second key, have not heard from them yet.

I recently had a service/warranty appointment with Bank St Toyota dealership. I was treated unprofessionally and with no respect by the service representative, Kaitlin, and the service manager, Ben. I made an appointment to fix my shield guard underneath my vehicle (loose bolts), which is a 2020 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid (only 8 months old and has 5500km). This was a warranty appointment and they managed to take advantage of me and charge me for a diagnostics test, and blamed me for the loose shield, and took no responsibility whatsoever. I visited this location for warranty work on my new RAV4 for side mirror work on July 2021, They fix it after 2 appointment. And at the time of delivery they forgot to put one of the plastic panel pieces. And we found from mat. As well as they made nice scratch on door panel, my new car just 2500km driven. I will never visit this place again. All the Technician are lack of training. In the past in 2020, during the fuel pump recall, i left my old Corolla for recall work. And they misaligned "o" ring, and i was not able to drive my car for 4 months. Still nobody contact me to resolve the issue. But they posted wrong comment "we were able to help you." They never help me out. Don't trust on below comments.

PAY ATTENTION TO ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS ON HERE bc they're all not exaggerated. And notice they mostly only respond to the positive reviews (they do have a contact for complaints but God knows how people are treated there too). Sales dep't MAY be ok (it's where we got our RAV4) but it's never a good idea to have your vehicle serviced at a dealership. Especially not this one. We TOO had certain things about the car ignored or refused by the service people UNTIL one visit they were able to give us a $5000 service quote...and some on things we asked them to look at many visits ago! This, undoubtedly, is designed to get us to go for the trade-in that they "suggest as one option" (and we know full well they can fix our wanted RAV4 and sell it for a pretty penny). They also denied our claim on the paint job recall! Screw these guys. Go get a Toyota from Barhaven (good rep) but think twice about getting SERVICE from a dealership. Oh, I too have seen and experienced a less than professional attitude from a couple of these employees. Excuse the pun but STEER CLEAR!

The whole purpose of this this Alpha Group owned store is to relieve you of every hard earned penny you have when purchasing a vehicle. This is done buy the ‘Financial Services Managers’ who are lying about your credit to get you to buy extra un-need products at exorbitantly inflated prices, directly lining the Alpha groups off-shore accounts. The sleeze everyone is reading about regarding the finance office is what a majority of hard working honest dealers are fighting against, but this trend to sell the car at a heavy discount is made up for cheating you out of money in the ‘back-end’ ie the Finance Manager. Protect yourself, know your credit before you go, if they say you were not approved (they lie about this all the time ! ) ask for Proof, the banks will not magically approve you if you buy products from this sleezy Hassan. The dealership management is aware that the Finance Managers are not only stealing from clients with made up charges and insurance they also steal from the sale people as well… all with approval from Management and it helps line their pockets There is a reason why non-of the old staff who worked for years stayed when this group took over. Protect yourself and you money, do not purchase from this location or any other Alpha group owned locations.

Purchased ball joints for my Toyota Camry about a week ago. Parts manager refused to return any parts due to COVID 19. He also stated they will not accept any returns once the pandemic is over. I spend over $200 on the parts. The ball joints were in the box and sealed never opened with proof of purchase, I then spoke with his manager and they charged a 20% re stocking fee for a product that was returned within in a week. unopened. During a pandemic is understandable you will not accept any returns but the parts manager should not lie to clients and you should be more willing to help clients in these difficult times. I have done many returns at this store before with no issues but I guess the new management only cares about the bottom line. I would stay away from this Toyota dealership and their parts department.

Great sale team, really bad service department. Brought vehicle for a issue with drivability and also for oil change. After 30min got the vehicle back with oil change not done and tech said he brought vehicle to highway speed to test vehicle. Only highway around was 7km away ( one way) and totally km done to vehicle was 6km. They said they did a inspection on my vehicle ( brand new 2020 will less then 8000km) but as per sheet wheels had to be removed and rotated, wheel nuts were still dusty. After talking to service personel, the work that was performed was not what I made appointment for, finally got oil change done after arguing with service personnel but nothing was wiped down after performing oil change. Oil drippings on floor from spillage.

Impossible to get through on the phone. The phone system tells you to hold, and after repeating twice that everyone is busy tells you to leave a message and forces you to do so or cuts you off. The system should be modified to allow you to keep holding in a queue rather than cutting you off. I would call the general manager to complain as the say to do in any of the negative reviews below, but without knowing his/her extension you can’t get through to anyone to ask. Last time I dropped off my car wanting contactless service, they said just drop the keys in the slot and call us to tell us you are here. Might work if you could actually get through to anyone. Wasn’t sure how long it would take for them to retrieve my message so I had to go in and tell them, defeating the purpose of dropping off the keys in the slot for “contactless service”.

I went to this place few days ago for a rav4 and I found one at a decent price . the sales person was wonderful although it was at the end of her shift . she was cheerful during the process understood me and told me I need to leave a deposit and keep the receipt to GET MY DEPOSIT BACK. I applied for finance and the lady working there was very understanding told me she will get me the best of interest and I could see she was really engaged so far nothing but POSITIVE experience. Why one star then ? this is why ; after running my financing application it turns out I was not qualified for a low credit . so I told them ok . I will buy a car after correcting my credit score . THAT'S when the Chief of The Finance dpt came in to tell ." I CAN"T BACK UP" as I have already BOUGHT the car .. I was in shock . how can I buy a car WITHOUT MONEY . he told me If their credit rate is not enough its up to me to look for another financial institution or I just take the car don't pay and they will TAKE THE CAR BACK . I was lost for words ... basically go there destroy your credit score more and stay with another bills of interest accumulated .. or accept and come back after 6months to negotiate . I declined all those GENEROUS offers and they were threatening not to return my deposit. this taught me that : - He only cared about himself at all and thus even at their lowest interest I would never buy their cars ( no trust in them ) - Do not accept to sign before financing approval - DO NOT GIVE THEM the DEPOSIT ( you may not get it back) there is lots of similar cars out there with trustworthy persons Basically go there like a lawyers review all the lines because if you do a mistake they might get you to pay interest for no actual reason

While I was at my dealership for routine maintenance they have informed me that my breakpads are at its last few weeks of life. Must be replaced soon. They have quoted me 1250 plus taxes. Informed them that I will come back for it. I have started calling other dealerships and contacted Mendez. Mendez Toyota quoted 840 plus taxes. I was bit surprised about the price difference from other dealerships and Mendez. After about four months of driving, I have called Mendez Toyota and inquired, just to make sure that I heard it correct :) Quoted me 840 again. Have had my break pad and rotors replaced, since the tires were removed they even swapped my winter tires free of cost The mechanic came out, met with me, explained the things changed, and gave me some tips. Excellent service and definitely I will be taking both my cars to Mendes for all services. Only one regret: I wish the service department functions late into the evenings and longer weekend hours.

I inquired about a used vehicle a month ago to which they promptly replied with a long email and eventually let me know this vehicle was not available and of course put me on a email list without me asking. Fast forward a month later this used car vehicle listing is STILL on their site, so I inquire and they tell me its not available, but ask me if there is another vehicle i would be interested in. I tell them what im looking for and they literally send me the lead for the vehicle they just told me is not available..... so then she proceeds to apologize and lets me know a salesperson will be in contact to let me know if its actually available. Its been 3 days now and still no contact from a salesperson. How do you guys expect to sell cars when someone sends in a lead and you make them jump through hoops to get an inaccurate response and NO RESPONSE from a salesperson... lol

Would not recommend buying a vehicle at bank st. Toyota. Not someone who likes to leave negative feedback But I did not like my experience. Let me explain. I called before leaving to confirm they had the vehicle I wanted to look at. When I got there I was told the vehicle was sold two days ago... not a good start but there might have been a miscommunication I will give them chance and assume it’s not a sales tactic. After I asked If we could sit down and get a price on a new rav4 suv. I’m told by the salesman here’s the msrp. He would not budge a dollar from the msrp. I’m not taken seriously. At this point I’m feeling a bit of frustration. I have to convince the salesman to sell when I should be the one convinced to buy... a little bit backwards. makes me doubt how is service after sale is gonna be like. I recently bought a 2021 Tacoma TRD from the team at Bank Street Toyota. I shopped around most of the Toyota dealers in Ottawa and got the best deal at Bank Street Toyota by far. Also, the team of Roxanne (admin), Moussa (sales), and Mo (finance) treated me very very well. They were all extremely responsive and without any high pressure tactics. I would absolutely recommend buying a vehicle from them. Even my trade-in value was outstanding, with everything but signing the papers and driving away done over the phone (cell). While my truck will likely last forever, if it doesn't I will absolutely go there to buy another. I couldn't be happier.

Worst dealership ever, try to sell me the car with unclear bill. Poor customer services not even knowledgeable enough to sell the car here and never answer the phone. However Hassan was the one out there trying to help. First time went in there gave me a bill of sale with higher asking price than the it stated on toyota.ca. The sales manger Devin make me trade in my 2017 4runner and told me I will get extra $2000 for bring in my 4runner also pick up a new Sequoia, but ends up using my security deposit $7500 to against it without letting me know in advance. Basically I'm losing $5500 just to pick up a new Sequoia with no discount? I was told when I pick up the 4runner the security deposit is just use to bring down the interest rate of leasing, will be return whenever the lease term is over, tell me why would I trade in my car if I know I am losing money on it? When I had the option to buy out the 4runner and sell it myself with higher then residual value, if I am aware of it I will not let you take my 4runner. You can say whatever you want with your industry term, but I am here just to state that I am not aware of this at all, there is nothing mention on the bill of sale either. They do not have my consent also Nothing has been explained clearly before purchase, strongly recommend please do NOT go there, there are many Toyota dealership in Ottawa that are definitely better than this one. Will be contacting OMVIC and Toyota Finance to resolve this issue soon.

The mechanics are very personable. The front line staff and management in the service department are quick and efficient when it comes to service and answering any questions. I always feel a sense of comfort and reliability servicing my car there. As soon as I arrive at Mendes I am always greeted by the drive through attendant in a curteous and friendly manner. I just bought a new Rav4 XLE Premium from Bank Street Toyota, and I highly recommend this dealership. The sales person, Jesse, is very friendly, FAST to respond, and overall excellent. Jesse genuinely cares about finding the right vehicle for the buyer, and making sure that the buyer is fully satisfied. The finance manager, Hassan, is also excellent, and Hassan helped me find the best financing option and upgrades for the vehicle. There were no games or pressure tactics, which are sometimes experienced at other dealerships. The vehicle is exactly what I was expecting. I worked with James Haddad and he was professional, courteous and he helped me transition from being in the Honda family for 22 years into the Toyota family for the first time. The service center is BAD. I have booked numerous appointments with them and turned up ahead of timeslot, only to be left waiting 3+ hours before they even begin to start a simple task on my car. The service desk staff constantly try to upsell. On average I have to refuse the more expensive service 2-3 times each time I book. Great buying experience - poor service. Was told the reason the brakes rusted out on my brand new RAV4 in under 3 years was MY FAULT! I should have had them “cleaned” and that would have prevented the rust out and calliper seizure. Given the car had always been serviced there, including installing / removing snow tires twice annually, I would expect brake cleaning would be advised if it truly prevented rust out. This was never advised and the service manager doubted my honesty - although he didn’t call me a liar directly. Six months later when I had my “free” brake inspection while removing the snow tires, I was told the brand new rotors were starting to rust and showed signs of pitting. Again this was MY FAULT because I wasn’t “driving the car enough”. Apparently 6,000km isn’t enough to keep the brake rotors from rusting. I understand the dealer isn’t responsible for poor quality brake rotors - Toyota Canada said there was nothing they could do - but to blame the owner just adds insult to injury. I will have my RAV serviced elsewhere and can not recommend Mendes / Bank Street Toyota for servicing.

On Aug 31st, I went to buy a car and I was served by a representative called Ali. My experience with him was pleasant. I liked the car and the great service provided. He asked for a deposit of $500 and I paid. Ali introduced me to the Director of Finance (Hassan) to finalize the sale. He told me that the banks were closed to process my demand for financing the car and requested that I come back the next day. However, he wanted me to sign a document of the Vehicle Purchase Agreement (Pressure). When I was about to sign I read the following: " This Agreement is final and binding once you have signed it..." I asked if I could sign the next day when my credit is approved. Sep 2nd, I went back to finalize the agreement. Ali, the representative had given me the quotation of 15,570.81 which I had agreed on. However, when I spoke to the Financial Director (Hassan) the price went up to 16,977.14. I got lost but I didn’t know why it was up. He tried to sell me the rust protection and warranty but I refused. He tried to sell me the life insurance saying that it was a REQUIREMENT since I had a "limited credit". I told him that I prefer to stop everything if this is mandatory that I didn't plan for any additional fee. After he made it sound as if it was a requirement which isn't true, he changed his mind and told me that I could buy the car without the life insurance so we continued. I asked about the final amount, the final sale amount was about $18,840 at a rate of 6,99%. But he told me that at the rate of 5,99% and with the life insurance ($1000 more) included I could get a final sale all fees included of $18,820. I was really lost! He explained the interests after a few times "He told me that he cannot explain what he learned in 4 years (university) in two minutes, how they calculate rate (%)" (That was disrespectful)....Then he asked another representative (Ali) to explain better... Ali walked me through it respectfully and showed me an online application on how % where calculated. I understood and thanked him. However, I told him that I didn't receive a great customer service from his Finance Director, Hassan, that I felt disrespected and lost confidence and I needed another day to think about it. The worst of it all as I was walking out leaving the Toyota office, the Finance Director (Hassan) asked me loudly where we were going? I told him respectfully that I needed time to think about it. He told me that there was nothing to think about it. Then he started bragging that if we want 5% he can give us the car or even at a rate of 0%, or even for free, he will pay it out of his pocket! When I got home, I was reviewing the documents, I noticed that the finance director (Hassan) had included additional fees on my contract that I did not agree for ( anti-theft 3 yr/ tire rim 1 year $499.99 and walkway basic $259) without my consultation or without even telling me. In the first document that the representative Ali gave me those fees were not included!!) I am still very disappointed. My advice to all of you please ask for a final amount with the interests included, choose an other dealer. The service is not transparent, they are hidden fees, they put pressure on you and the lack of respect from Hassan was unbelievable. I have never been disrespected to this level. This is the worst experience I have ever had.

Horrible Horrible experience with customer service lying for a promise and confusion. When I bought a car, sale person told me when I will get an oil change for free and customer service told me next time i come back I will get service maintenance #2 for free as it comes with the oil change as they do not oil change on its own for a new car. Customer Service told me not to worry with this. When I called to book the appointment for maintenance service #2 and tell the person to verify with Customer Service so that I don't waste time coming for nothing. When I showed up for the appointment, they simply not honored it and that customer service rep is off. Service Manager is unable to do anything about it. Extremely poor customer service overall, lead to customer confusion and lies about a promise. I will never buy a car from this dealership again. For a simple car wash, they asked you leave your car for the whole day. Total poor customer services.

Facing a lot of problems from this dealership: 1. A noise making part in engine hasn't been replaced since months and there is no end date to this activity. Toyota had to check and replace 2 parts out of which only 1 was done and 2nd was caught by us after talking to a mechanic otherwise dealership wouldn't inform us. STRANGE 2. We were sold the premium service package with FREE CHANGE OF WINTER TIRES and FREE STORAGE which dint come out to be true. Hassan (Financial person) wouldn't attend us after selling. They are amazing at selling but leave the responsibility soon after. Not all staff members but some are truly careless once the car is sold. Please be careful before coming here and take everything in WRITTEN. They call customers to give them 5 start reviews but you got to earn that with seamless experience. No wonder why they only respond to the reviews of people giving 5 starts.

Both times I was in the showroom for 10 minutes, nobody came to see me and no one bothered my presence. I have been to other dealers and that is not the way I was treated. Took my 2015 Camry in for a rear noise . When I got the call informing me that my rear brakes needed to be replaced .So I gave them the go ahead . When I got the call that my car was ready for pickup I was presented with a invoice over 1000$ . I checked my invoice and noticed I was charged for a brake fluid flush, front brakes service and a couple of other things . When I called them out on it I was told other than the rear brakes none of that work was ever done and we apologize for this. We will put a credit on your account for $298 for charging you for work that was never done.This is nothing short of fraud and I could of escalated this but I didn’t . I’m just not going back. Sadly, I did not read the reviews before purchasing a car here. Terrible experience, honestly purchasing the vehicle and doing the test drives where fine but after the sale was complete the service completely vanished. Refused to fix the one thing we highlighted (small rattle in the fan), took over 2 hours to get us the keys because they clearly forgot to complete the paper work ahead of time. Proceeded to blame it all on the 30+ cars that had to be picked up that day, I had at this point been sitting in their lobby for 2 hours and hadn't seen another person come through. Finally it is over a week later and we still have outstanding documentation to receive from them. Also reading through the comments I definitely agree about cautioning people to review their credit score ahead of time before going in as there was definitely a bunch of pointed questions to determine our credit score ahead of time. Didn't think much about it at the time but questions about if we owned our house etc. before running our credit score. Large red flag! All in they offer nothing special here and I would strongly recommend going anywhere else.

I recently purchased a Corolla Hatchback SE 2022 and I was never told by the salesperson that this model doesn’t come with a spare tire but instead it comes with a tire repair kit. I was told by one of the sales managers at that dealership , named Javier, that I should have asked if the car comes with a spare tire or not and that it’s not up to the salesperson to inform me. Unfortunately, I discovered all of this after the fact, 3 weeks after the purchase. I found out that the vehicle doesn’t have a spare tire and the tire repair kit was missing most of the tools. So dishonest!!! I was told by the same manager that I should have checked the vehicle the day I picked it. I’m sorry for trusting you guys. Never buying from you again

I brought my car to this dealership’s service center for a tire change and safety check. While I was waiting in the dealership, I was told that my rear rotors were unsafe to use and needed to be replaced. I was shocked to hear this, as my car only had 15500km on it, is driven a short distance daily, and is parked in a heated, indoor parking garage when not in use. Although I was shocked to learn that my practically brand new rotors needed to be replaced for $557.55 plus tax, I told the employees to proceed with the replacement, as I trusted their opinion. However, I asked for my old rotors back and had them inspected by a third party mechanic at another Toyota dealership. It turns out that my old rotors were perfectly fine/safe to use, and did not need to be replaced. The additional $557.55 plus tax I spent on replacing the rotors was unnecessary. I am very disappointed in the service I received at Bank Street Toyota, and I hope they treat future customers in a more fair and ethical manner.

We purchased a hybrid RAV4 and we are very happy with it! Due to COVID the delivery time is a bit longer, but nothing unreasonable. We worked with Alex for the purchase and Moe for financing, both were patient, knowledgeable, and quick to respond! Edit: essentially, once Toyota had the sale we were left to fend for ourselves. We had bought winter tires along with the car. The nuts ended up being a different size than needed for our summer tires and after checking, the spare tire also required a different type of nut. After multiple ignored calls and voicemails, we went in and explained the issue and we were bounced to multiple departments and told in the end that not being notified about this was our “Sales Reps fault”. We ended up needing to pay for a new set of nuts for the tires. Thankfully, we were aware of what was needed as this is a huge safety issue. Had we been stranded on the side of the road and needed to switch to a spare tire, it would not have sat properly on the car with the nuts provided. This was a huge oversight by Toyota and the customer service to resolve the issue was non existent.

We are loyal to Toyota and both drive one. Our sales experience here has always been incredible but the service has not once done anything but disappoint. The vehicle is never ready on time and we're always left sitting there waiting for hours. Even when booking an appointment weeks in advance, they still call to advise they won't have it ready and ask if they can keep the vehicle overnight. Certainly not a reliable service centre and even though I've continued to come back and hope for a better experience, we are now officially done and will never service a vehicle at this dealership ever again.

Horrible! I've been to Mendes twice had awful wait times even when I made an appointment, and the staff is EXTREMELY rude. The parts that were suppose to be under warranty suddenly weren't and their prices are much higher than other Toyotas. I decided to give them one last shot to put my winter tires on, and was transferred 4 times and put on hold for over fifteen minutes until someone cut the line. I called back and tried to explain what happened, and the guy on the phone with a thick accent started yelling at me telling me he couldn't hear me. Last time I ever try to give them business again.

Bought a car from them just over a year ago. Didn’t want to leave a bad review because I didn’t want bad service if we had issues while still in the warranty. However, I’ve just seen that Hassan the finance manager is paying people for good reviews! That doesn’t surprise me since he gives horrible service and will try and take as much money from you as possible. Refused to show us the total for the car, would only show us the monthly payments. Told us he had to take his girlfriend out on a date so he needed to get us out of his office as soon as possible and that we just needed to sign and agree to his terms without even explaining them to us properly. Wouldn’t give us enough time to look over the numbers and discuss. It was our first time buying so we were nervous and he made that worse. He didn’t give us the paperwork until when we came to pick up the car the next week, and we noticed he had added $600 extra dollars in charges for something we didn’t want. They wouldn’t respond to any emails and would only call and give excuses. We even went to the dealership to wait for him but he didn’t show up. Also, the dealership put my boyfriends name only on the car registration, even though I was the one on the finance paperwork. We had to go service Canada and pay to change it ourselves since they wouldn’t fix it. I’m not surprised Hassan has to pay for fake reviews, he gives horrible service that leaves you in tears afterwards once you realize you’ve been scammed.

The car model and color we chose was not available at the time of purchase, and I was concerned that it might not arrive on-time and I had to rent a car. But it did arrive on the date as they promised. And everything went very smoothly.

This morning, I was greeted with the same familiar friendliness, my car was detailed and ready for my inspection in a dry heated part of the showroom. After a few formalities, I was on my way in my new car. I can’t believe how smooth the whole process has been, from negotiating the deal to picking up my car I was treated like my business was valued and that they were trying to earn a customer, not just sell a car. In speaking with Mo he mentioned that they were trying to take the frustration out of buying a new vehicle. I feel that they are on the perfect track to accomplishing this. Thanks Mo and Jesse for restoring my faith that there are still great places to purchase a vehicle in Ottawa.

Ali Said was the salesman we met when we were looking for a new RAV4. He was very knowledgeable about its characteristics and led us through the list of technical features of the car. After we decided to purchase the car he was very helpful in finding us the exact colour of car that we wanted. He was always very personable, immediately available for questions and helpful in all aspects of the purchase. And when we picked up the car he again led us through some of the more unfamiliar new aspects of the technical features. You couldn’t go wrong with having him as your salesperson. Thank you Ali.

Horrible service department. Where to begin? I brought in my 2014 Prius V for a recall (software update), repairing a defective power lock actuator, and an oil change. First, they only run their outgoing shuttle at (exactly, not starting at, exactly) 8:15AM, so if you don't work until 10AM, tough, you go in early or find your own way. Second, they said it would be $67.50 to diagnose the power lock actuator (I already knew that was the problem, it's not rocket science to figure out what the issue is when the power lock stops working). I said sure. They ended up billing me $135 for that instead, citing that it took the whole hour to diagnose it because they had to dismantle the whole door (I could have told them that would be necessary from the start, how they could not have known this is beyond me). Too bad for me. On top of it, they didn't even repair the actuator - they didn't have the part, and booked an appointment to have me come back later (spoiler alert: I won't be back). Third, the icing on the cake - after getting the car back the touchscreen and media controls no longer work properly. The media controls don't work immediately upon turning the car on (and slowly start to respond a few minutes later). The touchscreen no longer works _at all_. I took it back, and the service manager insists that this is just a coincidence - that nothing they did could have affected these systems. I can tell you from two decades of working in software development that I don't believe in coincidences like this. Systems like a touchscreen (solid state electronics, no moving parts to wear out) do not spontaneously fail unless something - either hardware or software - has been done to them. The timing on this is uncanny. They expect me to believe that the touchscreen would have spontaneously failed on its own had it been sitting in my driveway that day? Not a chance. My usual family mechanic agrees that this is really unlikely. I would have taken it to him from the start for the oil chance and power lock, except he could not do the recall software update. We had previously had a good (enough) experience buying a 2018 Highlander from Mendes Toyota. But after this experience, I would never return to buy another new vehicle, nor would I bring any vehicle back here again for even an oil change. Stay away. Update (March 27): The dealership replied to this review indicating they have forwarded my review to the manager. Well, you have my phone number, if you want to make things right give me a call. I'll continue to update this review when/if I hear from you (or not). As other reviews have indicated, I'm guessing there will be no follow-up. Update (April 30): I fixed the touchscreen myself (quite easily, I'm surprised they couldn't figure out the contacts were loose... how they got loose while under service there is a mystery). No follow-up from the dealership. My wife called them, and they told her I should go to a different dealership for service! The "response from owner" they post in reply to negative reviews are clearly just lip service to make it look like they care about customer service. Anyway, I'm happy to take them up on their offer to go to a different dealership for future service :-)

Went there to get a few small things done before my 3yrs warranty expired. Made appointment and walked in and everything was like yes sir no problem well get that done for you asap. Came back 6 hours later they had not done one single thing. I asked what was the problem and was told they were not sure those parts were covered under the warranty. I asked why I wasn't called back earlier instead of leaving the truck there all day doing nothing. Answered we must have forgotten. Then service manager Ray comes out of his office he made it sound like I was bothering him from sleeping at his desk. He comes out to tell me that Toyota is very strick now and he doesn't think that they will cover this warranty work. He tells me he will look into it and get back to me. I wait a week he never gets back to me at all. I go to another Toyota dealer 5 mins away not a single problem they change all the required parts under warranty and are happy to get my business. I would highly recommend going to another dealer there are several more in Ottawa very close to this one. You can tell the owner doesn't really care about the bad reviews he gets because he always post a generic reply see below replies from owner. He cant even take the time to write something original or reply to the original complaint.

Bought a used VW Jetta from Maria. I had done about 4-5 dealerships scattered throughout the city at this point. Maria offers by far the best service. No pressure, she was friendly and I would recommend her to anyone I know looking a car. About a week or two later, the car started having minor noise from a bad suspension component. I called her and she suggested I talk to Kaitlyn at the service desk. Again, great service, an appointment was made quickly and the car was fixed at no cost. After running into a curb - my own fault - and wanting nothing more than to get my husband to his surprise birthday party - I was needless to say feeling very upset. Toyota Roadside Assistance came to our rescue within 15 minutes, I put my husband in a taxi to get to his party on time and then spent the afternoon at Bank Street Toyota. They were already very busy and short staffed, but took the time to take care of me and my poor Rav4. Iqra Raees was outstanding leading the whole afternoon and making sure not just me, but everyone else who was there was taken care of - even taking the time to show a woman how to use to her own iPhone! The whole team up front and on the floor was working so hard to meet all our needs and I was so very grateful and impressed when I was able to drive home at end of the afternoon.
