Here you will see the feddbacks of people who bought the services and products of Autotec (Car Concessionaire) in the area close to Northwest Territories (Canada).
Right now the firm receives a rating of 2.9 stars out of 5 and that rating has been based on 36 reviews.
You must have seen that it has an average rating is average, neither too high nor too low, and it is based on a large number of opinions, so we can think that the evaluation is quite accurate. If many people have bothered to rate when they are happy, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to write scores when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Car Concessionaire corresponds to the category of Car dealer.
Fair and honest family owned business.
Fantastic service, awesome owners, great vehicles. Highly recommend
Unbelievably poor customer service.
Great service. Fix my engine problem in two hours. Highly recommend !!!
Very poor service and overpriced.
Very rude. Wost customer care service. Couldn't even go pass the customer service representative. Her tone of voice was like she is being forced to work there. Wish I could give 0 stars.
Pricey, but in line with dealerships down south. Quality work every time.
A very great spot to get vehicle repair work done. They can fix any vehicle you bring to them. Everyone was very professional & friendly. They helped you understand the situation of your car and explained it to you what needed to be changed, fix and done and all your questions answered with clear explanations. Prices are more than fair and service was top-notch. Couldn’t be happier with the service I received from them. Definitely recommend!
Always superb in customer service. Have dealt with them for almost 20 years without problem.
Great to know Autotec owners thinks it's a 5 star establishment.
They are either terrible mechanics, or are knowingly trying to deceive customers. I give them one star because they were able to take my car right that day. I found myself in a pickle with my car refusing to move after I backed out of friends house. The only shop that was able to take my car that day was Autotec. They called me saying that my entire transmission needed to be replaced, quoting me 3-5 thousand dollars to fix it. I got a second opinion from another shop, they took one look at my vehicle and said my cv axle was snapped. Nothing at all is wrong with the transmission. Got new CV axles (significantly cheaper) and now my car works. Not only did Autotec misdiagnose the issue and fail to notice/mention my CV axle being snapped, they also charged me for a transmission oil change that they said they did in an attempt to see if my "burnt oil" was the cause of the issue. Bad business. I'm a trusting person but this pretty simple fix which was diagnosed as almost a right off of my car makes me feel taken advantage of. Would not recommend to anyone.
Don't buy a Toyota from here because there's no other shop in Yellowknife that Toyota will let do warranty work and Autotec's mechanic is terrible. Took my brand new RAV4 here to get a latch replaced because it was jamming and when my battery again drained (Toyota issue - the car is a lemon without a battery maintainer, Autotec failed to tell me about it, even after many tows to the shop because of a dead battery), I was locked out of the car because the latch was installed improperly. I was forced to use the Toyota lockout service and now the car has over $2,000 damage. Autotec and Toyota are refusing to fix the car. When I was speaking with Brian, Autotec's owner, about the situation he put me on hold, then hung up on me.
Very quick and friendly service. After calling around this was the only shop that could see me within the same day and complete the work while I wait. It took about 20 minutes total before I was on my way again. It was the most expensive option, however, the convenience and ease of not needing an appointment was worth it and the difference in price was only about a 30% increase. Sounds like a lot but it was a small invoice to begin with. The work they did was top notch and clearly going to last.
I really appreciate the great customer service at Autotec. The staff take the time to learn their clients’ names and are always friendly. They are always able to do maintenance on our car in a timely manner. I would recommend them for sure.
Always bring my car here for service. Can't say enough great things about these guys, keep up the great work guys ????
Terrible place. Don’t go here unless you want rudest service you will ever receive.
worst dealer in Yellowknife. If I could, I would have given them negative rating. I have 2018 Toyota Camary. Toyota started recall & safety campaign in 2020 , I got a letter from Toyota too to get checked the safety features of my car in Dec 2020. I called Autotec in Dec 2020 to get checked safety functions, I was told that they will do it in May 2021. When I called them in May they told me that they will do it in August 2021. In June end one of the safety features of my car started malfunctioning, The engine lights is always on since then! I called them in June end again and mentioned about the malfunction. They diagnosed and told that I had to get replaced the Thermostat Gas Kit. They told me that they were closed for the whole month of July 2021. I called them in Aug 2021 for the same and I got again same reply, they asked me to call them back in Oct / Nov 2021 to get the task done. I deposited $500 for the freight charge in Aug end, Parts came in first week of Sept 2021. Since last 10 months I have been getting the same answer, to call them later after couple of months! Winter is closing in, Car is essential in Yellowknife, Couldn't stop my self from writing honest review.
Very expensive change oil $260, they will also charge you $9 for "shop supplies" they used, and customer service is not even good, they are arrogant, stuck up and rude, if i can give them -10 stars i would. Don't go there, there`s a few mechanics in Yk that will do your Toyota.
Customer care is top notch! Best quote and speedy recovery. Will definately utilize this business again.
Not sure what all the bad reviews are for. Yellowknifers don't know what good service is because it's few and far between here. Had issues with my battery only a year after servicing it with Honda in Ontario. No Honda dealership here so looked this place up, and brought my car over there after getting a boost to do so. Auto Tech quickly changed the battery, and recommended a battery blanket to go with it. Paid about 400.00. Canadian Tire would have charged me 340 for battery and blanket but couldn't do it for three days. Auto Tech is a quick option, same day appointment, and Vanessa is fantastic. These people have skill and have provided fantastic service. Go there for any vehicle issues.
Very accommodating nice people to deal with
Initially I was surprised with the customer service I received but then I realized where I was. Firstly, Vanessa, the woman I dealt with throughout the entire experience has some of the worst customer service I have experienced anywhere. I’m a well traveled person and have worked in the service industry myself but this behaviour was so bad it was almost funny. Poor communication, zero accomodation, tact and tone of voice was indicative of disinterest - absolutely no value in creating a decent experience for any buyer. I emailed twice requesting a car proof (no response, of course) and then followed these emails with a call in which I was met with the most suspicious response: ‘we don’t do those here. I’ve never done one. Can’t offer you a car proof’. Red flag!! I would be cautious about this dealership. Unfortunately, if you are interested in something other than a Ford and don’t have access to other dealerships you may be stuck...but if you get that desperate, I’d buy a ford...which says a lot.
Expensive but good service
Autotec is the best crooks in town, poor service and steal your money in day light. Wanted a vehicle towed to their garage to fix, it took them 2 telling me the tow truck will be picking up my vehicle. I called each time to get an update and the response was the same that the guy would be picking up the vehicle. After realizing that i wasn't getting anywhere, i called the tow truck myself and my vehicle was picked up and delivered to their shop within 20 minutes. Poor me i still trusted them to work on my vehicle, when they had done the diagnosis of my vehicle, they gave me the price but when they send me the invoice paper to sign, the price was $212.00 higher than what they had told me on the phone. I wrote to them expressing my discontent towards their conduct and they ended up refusing to fix my vehicle citing i was a an unhappy customer. Nonetheless, this is where my blessing came in disguise. I took my vehicle to another garage who did the job more than half the price Autotec had told me. I shared my experience with my co-workers and everyone was laughing and feeling sorry for me at the same time that i had picked Autotec which is the worst garage in town. At least everyone i shared my story with had the same horrible experience with Autotec. My advise, if ever you find yourself dealing with Autotec, no that you're flushing your money down the toilet and getting a crappy service.
Rude, and poor customer service!
Vanessa is amazing to deal with
Bad costumer service, ignorant and rude plus they overcharge you for even the smallest jobs.
Bad service, long waits to book service appointment.
Couldnt even get a quote
Great people, great service, not cheap, but you get what you pay for
