It’s taken me a long time to get around to writing this review, but I’ve been very disappointed with my overall experience at Jim Pattinson Toyota Northshore. I bought a PriusPrime here and the salesperson seemed good at first, but then was terrible. He didn’t give me the full run through of the car, wouldn’t respond to any of my follow ups, and didn’t inform me of some important details. I will never shop here again.

Initially I was recommended here over two years ago on my search for a new vehicle through a work colleague to come to this dealership. Ended up with a 2017 Corolla SE, and an owner approved commercial! Fast forward to current day, me being me - I decide I am in the market for the 2020 'Rolla because she is looking a whole lot sexier (way more options) from my year. I head in to find NONE of my old crew is working anymore, and I have to say was disappointed as I was treated so well during my first experience. I was SO wrong - Kevin was outstanding in working with my needs. He was knowledgeable, flexible and more like a friend! He still checks in on me, and I throw him a text or two, as well! I will stay recommending Kevin and NS Toyota! And, well my new ride is pretty great - so will most likely be seeing Kevin down the line to continue my Toyota obsession. #ownerapproved ... STILL.

Northshore Toyota Comes Through About three weeks ago, I visited a couple of car dealerships for the purpose of buying a good used car. I did so with a certain amount of fear and trepidation about having to deal with the proverbial “used car salesman” who I assumed would be out to rip me off in whatever manner possible. I wondered, however, if this was just a bias of mine and if, in fact, contemporary used car salespeople actually operate according to higher standards. I therefore had a brief conversation about this with one of the salespeople at Jim Pattison North Shore Toyota in which I asked him if he ever took offence to people like me who, implicitly or explicitly, questioned his integrity with regard to telling customers the truth. He explained to me that the reputation of the shady “used car salesmen” is actually a holdover from the 1960’s, and that in fact modern salespeople -- particularly in the large established dealerships -- hold themselves to a higher ethical standard. I am pleased to report that, in the case of North Shore Toyota at least, this updated characterization turned out to be true. To make a long story short, I bought a used Subaru Crosstrek that revealed, on the test drive, some noise issues with the right front wheel. To the dealership’s credit, they promised to completely repair all of the issues associated with that noise, and to bring the car back up to factory warranty status. While the initial indication seemed to be that just the bearings needed to be replaced, the final repairs ended up being a bit more involved than either of us anticipated. The dealership nonetheless stayed good to their word: they made sure that everything was brought back to warranty standard and even arranged for a courtesy car while mine was being inspected. I credit, in particular, salesman Charles Yu for his integrity and attention to customer care. He came through for me and shattered the myth of the shady used car salesman. We traded-in our BMW SUV for a used Highlander. The Sales Manager (Mr. Abe Lee) and Sales rep (Mr. Alireza Monremi) treated us professionally. For our car (trade-in), we received a fair value ;and for the Highlander they offered us a very good price. More importantly, Abe was very accommodating and accepted to change the rotors and the brake pads - I noticed some issues during the test drive- at no extra cost. Abe went above and beyond to have entertainment ready for our little children [iPad with cartoons] while we were in the dealer- we could not find a baby-sitter and our two kids were with us during the purchase. The Sales gentlemen (Alireza) was great and responded to all our requests on-time. There was no 'sales pressure' and all the financial and technical items were explained to us clearly. I certainly appreciate their efforts to make our purchase smooth- as we have small children and both me and my wife are busy people with no extra time to waste. I have no reservation to recommend them fully. In my experience, they are "no non-sense" reliable dealer.

My second and amazing experience with service Toyota-North Vancouver !! Super professional and friendly , today I changed my 2007 Camry hybrid ,Transmission Fluid . Last time Moe from service recommended to change the transmission oil and he explained why and how is important for a healthy Transmission system . Today I shocked when I saw my previous changed transmission oil , it was too dark and not like oil !!!!!!! In one word Moe is my hero today , he saved my Camry . Who knows what will happens to my car if he didn’t advise me to change the transmission oil . I’m super happy now and I wanna to say thank you Toyota service north Vancouver and special thanks to Moe , he is amazing and super friendly and professional. Charlie Huynh bought us a RAV 4 to our home to test drive it, showing us all the features and was extremely professional and kind. He sent us information after on the car and we saw that it would take a few months to get. He updated us frequently on the progress for the car shipment. I’ve been a happy customer for Destination Toyota Burnaby for years. As a north Vancouver resident Today I made a wrong move and tried to refer to Northshore Toyota for a regular service which is always been easily accessible through Express service line at Destination Toyota with no appointments booked or any hassles. To my surprise The service receptionist was absolutely successful with making me feel disrespected and unwelcome during my visit. We were incredibly impressed with the customer service of Jim Pattison Toyota. We were interested in test driving a used vehicle, but didn't have time to make it to the north shore because of work commitments. However, one of the salesmen, Kevin Leet, called us and drove the vehicle to our house in Downtown Vancouver so we could test drive it that evening. Overall great service. We took our used Rav 4 here for its 6-month oil change and check-up, and learned that we'd need a new water pump. Though we were expecting a $500 bill, Dane discovered that the part we needed would be covered under the original warranty. Considering how many people assume mechanics and dealerships will ding them wherever possible, this definitely helped reinstate some faith and trust for us. Plus the staff were all v friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

Disappointed with lack of feedback. I was deciding between a full electric car and a Rav4 prime and decided to put down a deposit for the Rav4 prime since the estimated time was 6-9 months. After 6 months I followed up to see if the vehicle would be ready and was told it could be another 1-2 years. I understand that 6 months was an estimate, but I expected some kind of early feedback to let me know that the original estimate was going to be incorrect. Had I gotten a warning that the 6-9 estimate was not going to be achieved, I would have been able to go through with my back up plan of buying a different vehicle. Because I was notified so late, I will miss out of the scrap it incentive of 6000$. Other than this issue, the service was friendly and informative.

As a 69-year-old wife/mother/grandmother who had never bought a car in her life, I am fortunate that Simon Sidhu was the product advisor who sold me a 2010 Toyota Matrix a few weeks ago. He listened to my needs which primarily concerned a husband disabled by strokes which required me to get a wheelchair in and out of a vehicle. I also wanted a used vehicle with one previous owner, no accidents, and a service record at JPTN! And I had a budget in mind. Simon knew of an ideal car for me which had just come in. He took it out of the detail dept. so that I could test drive it in the late afternoon. I left impressed with his help and pleased with the car. When I returned to buy it, Simon put me in the capable care of Aly Ladak, who advised me like the mother/grandmother I am, explaining the financial decisions I needed to make so I could understand them. Aly's help was later followed up efficiently by Kal Bhatti. On his first day of Christmas holiday, Simon picked me up at my residence, drove me to the dealership, waited for the paperwork to be completed, put the new license plates on the car, then patiently and thoroughly went over the bells and whistles of the car so I could drive away with confidence and competence. I was very grateful for his instruction and attention. I was impressed by the treatment I received by Simon Sidhu and his team at JPTN. Test drove some vehicles, unfortunately none of them were attractive to me. The salesman was wonderful, and at the end of the session I told him I wasn't interested and thought that was it. A voicemail and two emails later asking me to pick a colour to get the sale going and I actually had to ask them to stop contacting me. Too bad, because the service otherwise was basically exceptional. If you want a Toyota, certainly go here. But if you're even slightly on the fence, don't give out any personal information.

I dealt with Charles and he was great. I suggest you fo your homework up front and go in and make an offer. I bought a nice 2015 Rav4 Ltd and was in and out in under 90 min. Toyota products hold their value as well as any car on the market. I did the delivery and new car training with Kevin and Simon well past 9 pm last night and there was no rushing us at all. I drove in from Ladner to get the car and price that worked for me. I can recommend this dealer as being very fair in their used car pricing and their sales practices.

Just bought a new RAV4 Hybrid and the service from Kevin was incredible. I imagine the pandemic created several issues but Kevin kept us updated throughout and was able to take us through the whole orientation process safely with social distancing in mind. I got my parents' car from Kevin, too, and that was also excellent which is why I keep coming back.

My wife and I recently purchased a new Tacoma from Sam Nejad at Jim Pattison Toyota Northshore and we couldn't be happier. Sam was absolutely wonderful to work with. He was no-nonsense and treated us with respect. We didn't have to haggle much over pricing, as he was clear on his best price; which was much better than anything else in the lower mainland (and I did some checking!). I must have bugged him a hundred times with questions and clarifications while we were waiting for delivery, and he was prompt and courteous in his replies every time. Sam paid attention to every detail and ensured the truck was perfect when we picked it up. Even though I was pretty familiar with the truck, he took the time to show us all the hidden features and made sure my wife was comfortable working all the functions. He even got the service team to stay late and put the truck on the hoist so I could inspect the undercoating application. He went the extra mile to ensure we were completely satisfied. I would definitely recommend working with Sam if you're looking for a new car; you'll be happy you did.

Just moved here from New West Toyota and what a sad difference. Made a service appointment for noon and only at 130pm does the service representative come to tell me yes they need to change brakes ( that I had indicated when making online appointment) Then says it’s my fault as the appointment said “ drop off”. So I tested the appointment app while there and it does not allow such indication. And then says staffing issues. Okay so warn the customer when checking in. Maybe I could have asked someone to pick me up!? Its 2 years we are all dealing with Covid. In the beginning of September 2018, I purchased a Toyota Tundra pickup truck in North Vancouver from Jim Pattison Toyota North Shore. Ali did everything he could to accommodate my needs and was honest and fair with every aspect of the deal. In addition, since purchasing the vehicle, the follow up has been great. On September 18, 2018, I swapped out the stock plastic steering wheel to a leather one on my new Toyota Tundra pickup truck at Jim Pattison Toyota North Shore. I only write reviews if I'm totally satisfied or absolutely or completely disgusted by a business. This rating reflects my latest experience with the service department at Jim Pattinson Toyota. I've been always satisfied when I visit them, whether it is repair or just regular oil change. They are specialized,knowledgeable and well trained. They have a superior manager" Ian" he is a fantastic man, very helpful and courteous. I have known him for years. I often go to to one of the drive through places for an oil change, or other fluid change, thinking it is a simple task and it doesn't require a highly trained individuals. That assumption was certainly wrong. I recently went to Lube express in Port Moody for coolant replacement as a regular maintenance. Well, they broke my radiator and they told me it was broken. Their so called manager responded to my post on Google reviews with several lies, justification and false statements. Another oil change place told me that the brake fluid needed to be replaced and when they replaced it they were very "generous" lol they filled it up to the very top although there's a "Maximum" mark. As you see you might think you are getting a better deal. You won't, because first they use aftermarket filters, they use questionable fluids and above all, often these places are run by inexperienced individuals with very little or no knowledge at all. So,do not make the mistake I made by thinking it is always safe to go to one of these fast service fluids change thinking it is safe to do so, because it isn't.

He was amazing, and ensured the vehicle I specifically wanted was in the lot, and all charged up (it was a Prius Prime). I got a Toyota because of its reliability and we have to admit that it is true but in the meanwhile, I have to say that it has the worst customer service among all the car brands. Took back my car after its service and noticed that it was making a noise and weird sound. Took back the car again to dealership and they said it was nothing. Long story short, I took the car 3 more times to the dealership until they finally accepted to fix my car and they told me I needed to leave the car for the day which sounds unreasonable for a car which had already been in for its regular service. I needed a car for the day and they said there was no cars available and also, they were not gonna even offer me a ride back home, which is 5 km away from the dealership, until I pointed it out and they said OKAY. Overall, I can say that Toyota has very reliable cars but not reliable customer service at all.

Well done, you've managed to leave a family that has young kids with a lemon. Our family has had an extremely challenging couple of years. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to take a great deal of time off work for treatment. Once I finally got back to work, we managed to save up enough money to purchase a second vehicle and 3 months after purchasing that vehicle I was hit head on and the car was a write-off and once again I found myself off work dealing with severe injuries. Now, here we are again, I'm back to work and we have managed to put together $14K to buy the best new car that we can and you sell us one that obviously wasn't inspected as we ended up with a $3K repair bill less than two months after your service department apparently had failed to ensure this car was mechanically sound. You offer us an exchange but sadly you only make the numbers work for you financially and leave us way worse off than we were before we trusted Jim Pattison Toyota Northshore. Still trying to figure out how doing the right thing and refunding our $14K would have harmed Jim Pattison Toyota Northshore one bit. Shame on you!

Haven’t seen that in other places. Charlie also worked on getting the price to fit my budget which I greatly appreciated as it helped close the deal in the same day. I especially appreciated the insurance agents in the show room as well. Not something I expect to say, but both insurance agents (Raj & Rohini) where more than amazing. Raj took over an hour demystifying how BC insurance works and what it covers. Something that was a blackbox for me and a major reason why I didn’t get a car earlier. This relates to the service department. When I checked in, this took over 20 minutes despite me being the only customer there. The service personnel's demeanor bordered on rude, and acted as if he didn't know what service had been booked, or that it was a surprise and they might not be able to do it today. Well gee, I wish someone had said that to me previously, before I booked my ferry to get her from the Sunshine Coast and at a $55 cost as well as the time I would spend traveling to and waiting for the ferry at each end. Also, at first first he told us the service was going to take possibly 4 hours, then, under some pressure, recanted and said 2 hours. I advised him that one of the service items (booked) was to check for a known RAV4 issue in the 2019+ models, the incomplete gas-tank filing issue. I advised him that I belonged to a couple of RAV4 forums, and based on what folks had said who'd had the repair done by various dealerships, I both knew how to, and had done, the practical field test, and was aware this needed replacement. The service guy told me, in response that "I should be careful what I read on the internet". Later, when I picked up the vehicle, he told me, "Yes, the tank and associated equipment needs to be replaced" (Book again in a few days, with another round-trip ferry, YAY!!) He then asked if I needed a ride somewhere, yes ok. I mistakenly thought this meant the courtesy shuttle for my 1.5 km trip: no, it meant he would phone me a cab. I won't be giving Jim Pattison Toyota North Shore any more business. I bought a 2016 Tacoma there and the service department has been difficult at best from the beginning. The most recent incident was I went in for a regular 40k service. Prior to this the light for "low washer fluid" was coming on. I figured no problem, they'll check and top up the fluids. When I picked up the vehicle the advisor went over the work order. All fluids "checked" off on the sheet. No notes on any low levels. The next day the "low washer fluid" light came on! I was flabbergasted. I open the hood to see the large white reservoir 95% empty. Plain as day. When it has fluid in it is also clearly visible. Did they even lift the hood!? I drove straight to the dealership and confronted the advisor, clearly unhappy. I said to him the washer fluid is a relatively minor thing, but such an obvious omission, that they signed off as complete on the work order leads me to wonder what did they check (or didn't)? Perhaps something more critical like engine oil. I really have no idea. The look on the advisors face recognized the seriousness and he jumped up got the keys and went to resolve it immediately. He referred me to the Service Manager, Ian Wilson, who I explained the problem to. He said they check this and suggested that perhaps the reservoir is leaking. I said it isn't. Nice try to throw it back to the customer. This is not the first time he has shown blatant arrogance to me as a customer. I didn't even bother bringing up the pathetic wash job they did, leaving loose bird droppings on the tonneau cover. I brought that up to him once before on an earlier visit that the apparent wash they promise is very poorly done. Again, his arrogance comes out and instead of saying "We're sorry Mr. Green, we'll make it right." He says "the yard may have to wash 60 cars in a day!". Not my problem. Again, it's a service customers pay for and it is sorely lacking. I wonder what Mr. Pattison would think of this arrogance directed towards customers and real lack of honesty and customer service. When I first got this vehicle, I had a faulty blind spot sensor from day one and they couldn't fix it originally as the fault came and went. Their answer to me was wait for the fault to come on then drive it in the dealership. I said that is not very practical for me and they need to troubleshoot/diagnose it like any other professional technicians would. The issue was finally resolved over a year and several visits later. Again I was disappointed in lack of technical knowledge to solve my problem, scheduling and deferring the problem. These visits were also my first experience in their half-hearted car wash efforts. The negligence from the technicians and lack of customer care from the Service Manager are very disappointing and disturbing.

I checked in within 10 minutes ( Thanks Paul) and agreed with the service consultant about some maintenance I needed for my vehicle. I was offered free of charge ride to work in Nvan. After about 3 hours, I received a call that my vehicle was ready to go. I was impressed by the service received, value I paid and the complimentary wash I have got. Seriously concerned about the maintenance services. I bought my new corolla here in 2015 and have been doing all scheduled maintenance with no issues so far . But at the last service in November 2019 ( which I paid for engine oil and filter change ) I decided to check the colour of the engine oil before I left the car ( strongly recommend everyone to do the same ) when I got the car I was in a rush and only checked the oil back home, which was looking like the same colour on the paper towel. So took me some days to figure out a way to take a sample out through the oil stick tube , as showing at the photo this is the oil sample that came out after I drove 500km only. Which it seems too dark / old , so I went back to this dealership, the mechanic and service manager said this is the normal colour for 500 km old oil , I said that I was not happy with the service which does not look as fresh oil in my opinion. After that I sent email to Toyota Canada with all details as well and they said that I have to deal with the dealership. After one month with no solution offered I decided to change myself the engine oil. Unfortunately I have had a bad customer service experience and nobody from Toyota seems to care about it.

Went by to take a look at their Toyota Sienna today. The sales person could not have been less interested in us. When we asked to see a model, not even drive it, he pointed to the parking lot and said there were a few models in the parking lot that we could look at. He then walked away. Based on this extremely negative experience, we will not be purchasing a Toyota Sienna. In contrast, when we went to see Paul Dawson at the Honda dealership at the North Shore Automall, he was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. He took the time to explain all the features of the Honda Odyssey to us. He took us on a test drive that was not rushed and happily answered all of our questions. A much better experience than at Toyota. Toyota, you could learn a lot from Honda when it comes to customer service! Addendum: it has been 7 days since I wrote the above review. We decided to give it another try to see if things had improved. we came in today on a Saturday morning. It was dead quiet. We were the only customers in the showroom. Despite this, not a single salesperson approached us! We walked around the showroom for 5 to 10 minutes and despite this, no one approaches. I finally went to the reception desk and asked if a salesperson could show us the Sienna. The girl at reception could not have been less interested. I guess I was keeping her from her Facebook. Finally, we had a sales person called over to show us the car. It was one of the sales people who had walked by us earlier and ignored us. We asked to see the Sienna. He took us outside, briefly looked around and said there was no Sienna to show us. The ones there had apparently been sold. And that was that. Another s***** experience at this Toyota dealership.

We would like to say thank you to Jack Li from JP Toyota, North Vancouver, BC. We were not considering buying a brand new car; we were even not 100% sure about renewing our car, but we just wanted to look around to have an idea for a future purchase. When we went to JP Toyota Northshore, Jack Li, the product advisor, greeted us (my wife, our daughter, and myself). We explained him what we were looking for (most probably for the future), what our budget was, what our priorities were and what mattered most. He assisted us in deciding the best option among quite a few alternatives. We finally decided to buy a brand new Toyota RAV4 and believe the deal to trade-in our old car was also quite good. We believe we found the right car! Jack provided us with such a stress-free experience and we never felt pressured along the way. He is an excellent, knowledgeable, and a very professional product advisor who provided us with a great buying experience! When we went to pick up our new car, he spent a very long time to show us every detail in the car. He really enjoys being helpful and you forget that you are in a business relationship; he simply makes you feel that you are friends. Also a big thank-you goes to Anisa, the Financial Services manager, who dealt with our purchasing procedures. Thanks to her, the purchase process was painless. She answered all of our questions with great patience and kindness.

However, now that I have gotten my car I have received multiple letters and phone calls from Toyota saying that I have not paid for my lease. The only problem is they have taken the payments from my account and are trying to make me pay it a second time. This has turned into a nightmare for me. I have followed all their directions and have even gone down to the dealership twice with my bank statements, wasting multiple hours of my life running around to prove to them they have taken the payment out. I was told this would be dealt with and they would call me but nothing has been dealt with and I received no phone call to tell me it has been dealt with. I am still getting phone calls and letters from Toyota threatening me to send my account to collections, so I can not recommend buying a Toyota to anybody ever.

After two weeks searching, my family and I chose a four years old Sienna from Kevin who is professional with products and dedicated with his customers. I have some advice for those who are now planning to purchase a pre-used vehicle from the market. First, if you are not an expert but are interested in Toyota, please make sure you select one from a official Toyota dealer, Jim Pattison for instance. This is because Toyota dealers have comprehensive investigation and maintenance technologies against any potential defect you might meet. Second, please choose a group dealer with exchange and warranty policy which means they have a full confidence with their vehicle and service, such as Jim Pattison. Finally, hopefully you could find a sales manager who can represent you when you have to face some problem with the vehicle. After the first week, I found the rear sensors didn't work. After inspection, technician said the cable connected the computer and sensors was cut when former owner exchanged the bumper. A couple of days later, new parts was there and everything goes well. It’s quite interesting to shop around for a car and see the different attitudes at each dealership. We tried a couple of electric cars and one hybrid car before scheduling an appointment at Northshore Toyota. Some dealerships really want to sell you a car while others give you the impression that their cars are so great that if you don’t buy it, others will; Northshore Toyota was one of these. Our Product Advisor, Charlie Huynh, was very pleasant and very COVID19 conscious. Unfortunately, he was new to his role and wasn’t very knowledgeable about the vehicle that we were interested in purchasing. The Sales Manager never introduced himself to us, even after we purchased a car, not even on delivery day! Also missing on delivery day, was an introduction to the Service Department, which would have required a simple 2 minute walk through of the area. The shining star of the dealership was definitely Anisa Chan, Financial Service Manager. Anisa was friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks Anisa! We bought a car and we love it but feel disappointed that the Connected Services that are highlighted in the Toyota videos that were shared with us after purchase are not available on the Toyota Prius Prime Upgrade that we purchased. This information was never shared with us. So that is why this dealership scores a 3!

The establishment is clean, and seems organized... But the salesperson Jack wasn't very forthcoming with information about a collision the vehicle had. In fact he told me to pay for the report from ICBC to find out what it was, which I refused; he was kind enough to pay for it for me.. This vehicle was just brought in from a lease and had not even been put on the website, it was dirty when he showed it to me, but it was also exactly what I wanted. He said when I tell him this is the vehicle I want to purchase, he will sit down with his manager to discuss the price. Friday, over the phone, I told him to talk with his manager and let me know after the long weekend, as I was ready to purchase. I called to find out what price his manager and him had come up with and he has advised me that he is sick he can't help me but I could go in and work with someone else, couldn't remember which vehicle I wanted,and (Surprise!) I had to be present to be in negotiations. Sure wish he had been honest with me on Friday and told me we couldn't negotiate over the phone, so I could have been present and had someone actually help me purchase this vehicle. He knew it was hard for me with my variable work hours and schedule to even make it in for a test drive. He deflected my business at every turn. Something very unscrupulous about that. In a pandemic when primarily business is being conducted by phone and internet, (he couldn't even be in the vehicle for a test drive), seems very counterproductive for him and his management team to be unable to negotiate on the phone. Or even be honest and upfront about that process at the beginning of these discussions.

He clearly showed to me the options, printed the specs and the car payment options. I honestly do not remember the last time a car sales associate spent so much time with me to present options. I believe first impressions from a dealer is very important, so I'm very disappointed to say JP Toyota did not uphold any professionalism from their staff. We already have our mind set on a RAV4 and wanted to take a closer look at the one sitting in the showroom. We are interested in cargo space and so we took a look at the back of the car first. At no point did I walk to the front of the car to see the SOLD sign yet. As my mom and I were browsing the car, a sales associate slammed the car door in my moms face and pointed to the sold sign hanging at the front and locked it in front of her and walked away. They didn't even offer an option for us to look at another one and just left my mom standing there. If this was a sold car, perhaps lock it next time so we wouldn't have access to it. Unfortunately, we had to experience such cold shoulders from the staff working here and so we will not be back. I do thank the receptionist for trying to refer me to another sales staff, but I declined.

Holyyyy......Worst experience ever!!!! We went to Lexus first. then, Toyota. Huge differences in customer service experience. At Lexus, We asked Lexus sales person Tony for test drive NX300. He told us to wait in the show room and he offered 2 bottles of water to us. Nice and cool, waiting in his office till the test drive car ready at the door. Customer service is top notch, smooth and comfortable. Then, At Toyota, First question from the sales person, "Are you buying today ?" i said " We are not buying today. We are trying to find the suitable secondary car for us. Can we test drive Camry or Avalon ?". I am not sure if this sales person lost interest in us, right after I said that. So, We asked him, if we can test drive Avalon and Camry. He said cars are in the back. Then, he asked us to follow him. We followed him to the back of their inventory parking lot under the SUN roasting!!! 31c at the time. He pointed at a Camry and asked us "We have this Avalon for test drive". This sales person doesn't even know the model of the car. I told him, this is not an Avalon. He then, pointed at a Camry, asked us if we want to test drive. And ask for my driver license and told us to wait here (In Parking lot, Under the Sun) Me and my wife were both snapped right there. We told the sales person. That's it. We are going back to the show room. This is ridiculous!!!!!!!! We just want to test drive Camry and Avalon. The sales person could have just tell us wait in the show room. And pull one of test drive car at the door for us. Maybe We didn't park our fancy car at their door. So, they thought we were just some kids wasting his time. This Customer service is WOW and WOW!!!!!

The phone staff were very courteous and helpful and his sales person was absolutely excellent. THEN!!!!!! He arrived at the dealership from out of town but vehicle was not at all as represented. His offer was taken to a sales manager who he never met, basically the Sale manager offered a very low, insultingly low price for a trade and refused to consider a reduction for a vehicle that was scuffed, not too clean, old tires and needing significant repairs. My husband felt he was treated rudely and would never never consider dealing with a Jim Pattison company again. He felt sorry for his salesperson who he thought was very good.

One of the worst experiences at a dealership. I arrived for my 3:30 appointment and waited over 20 minutes for someone at the service desk to assist me (clearly under staffed). Once it was my turn, the service rep Mo proceeded to tell me I’m late for my appointment and didn’t want to check me in. After another employee told him I had been waiting for over 20 minutes, he instructed him to check me in (thank you blonde guy working in the service dept Sept 2nd at 4pm!). I was then told, due to the time I couldn’t get the full service I booked and would have to bring my car back another day to get it completed. As the cherry on top, $60 for a tire plug. I will never be returning to this dealership for service. If you want good service for your Toyota go to Destination Toyota in Burnaby. This place can take notes from them.

I went in for my first service and arrived to a group of employees having an argument over something out in the open. I then ordered an accessory and asked to have it installed. The manager reluctantly agreed to do it after expressing how much he didn’t want to do it. I then watched a customer walk out of the showroom swearing out loud out of frustration over something that happened with a salesperson. The only reason I am giving this a two star rating is because the lady at the parts desk was very lovely to deal with. I will not be coming back here for future servicing or new vehicle purchases.

So today we got there ! first they started telling since you bought the car from another province, the servince might me not all included ! We dont even authenticate them ! And then after not finding my appointment in the system, he took my cell phone !!!! ( seriously ????) and went to desk and followed up. He came back to me , telling me so we are fully booked , its very busy ( although one other lady where sitting there) and we can’t accept you today. After talking to the lady at service reception, she was insisting that what i told you it does not mean i booked an appointment and i can’t do anything. Finally the manager for the service department came ! Printed my emails! Ready to convince me that his employee di not do anything wring , and it was our problem , not letting me even speak. So when i saw him, i completely understood that from this manager , that is a normal customer service!!!! I totally understand that i miss read the work after 11 and thought it is at 11. But if this dealership knew what is customer service they would just explain their i tention and tried to make it right! But not only that did not happen , they were rude and unfriendly and not even a tiny bit professional !!!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS Toyota Location. At least the service department and its manager are not professional and would probably not take any responsibility for anything .

When I told him that I’m not interested and if I want to do that, I wont come to Toyota he offer me to check my car which already my car has warranty, any way he told me other employee will call me regarding that and say good bye and hang up the phone quickly (so Rude ), Today is March 15 and no call or email from them , I strongly recommend read your contract and DO NOT trust these people , I heard that in Toyota it happened before as well , and they talk about one car and sale other one. My mother and I were both shopping for cars. We went to Toyota last. I was hoping to get some help as this is my second car and I am a previous Toyota owner. The first person to approach us was incredibly rude. We asked to see the cargo space in the showroom's RAV4. He said he couldn't open the trunk and when my mother said "You are joking right?" thinking he really was, he sneered at her and said that people fiddle with the dials and run the battery low. It wasn't so much what he said as how he said it. The look was disgust - as if we were supposed to know that. May-be I'm a layman but I thought the purpose of a showroom was to show the model's capabilities. One would think they could afford to keep the batteries charged enough to open the rear. Or at least do it manually if requested (which happened at the Hyundai store next door - very quickly and pleasantly I might add). Anyhow, being a long time Toyota fan, we waited for someone to help us. And waited. And waited. After 15 -20 minutes of us trying access the cars ourselves and get someone's attention we left. We visited 4 other dealerships that day and service was great. But this store seriously disappointed.

Incompetent sales staff, and major discrepancies between information from different employees. I knew more about the car I was looking at then the sales person. I was told the agreement could be one way, and that they did not offer leases on used vehicles. When I talked to the finance team, they said we could not make the agreement as previously told and the sales associate was a new hire and was incorrect. Also, they could offer a lease option and the sales associate was misinformed. If you can shop elsewhere, do that.

To whom it may concern: 20 years ago, my dad was on his death bed and my mother needed a new car. She went out to look by herself and was ignored by all sales staff and virtually every dealership. She phoned me at work in tears and the next day I asked one of my male friends to help her. Needless to say she bought a car that same day, which brings me to this letter of praise. In May of this year, her car needed to be replaced. My mother is a spunky 76 year young woman, and we started out at the North Shore Auto Mall, where we went to every dealership. I was apalled to see that "times had not changed". We were again ignored by almost every dealership until we walked onto the Jim Pattison Toyota North Shore lot. A very nice gentleman came out immediately and introduced himself as Simon Sidhu. Simon asked if he could help. We explained our situation and Simon showed us what was available in my mother's price range. He was respectful and listened to my mothers needs. He made us feel welcome and appreciated, as well he had wit, charm and good humour. He took my mother for a test drive but unfortunately the car was still out of my mothers price range (even after crunching some numbers). We told Simon that we had to think about it. The next morning we again went to different dealerships all over the lower mainland and although 2% actually offered some assistance we kept thinking of how wonderful we had been treated by Simon. Needless to say we headed back to North Vancouver to see Simon. Simon also had a Kia on the lot, which he had tried to steer us towards the day before. My mother finally agreed to test drive it and liked it more than the car she had driven the day before. Within 15 minuted the "deal was done". My mother drove her new car off the lot the same day and we came back the next day to deal with insurance issues. Simon was not in on that day but had arranged for one of his partners to sort out all the details. Although we only bought a Kia, we were treated like royalty. Again, needless to say, we had a wonderful experience and would recommend Simon and the North Shore Toyota dealership to anyone who needs a car and wants excellent service. Thank you Simon for your excellent customer service and taking the stress away from my mother. She loves her car.

He wasn’t the most knowledgeable about the vehicle as he forgot to mention the previous damage claim until I asked to review the carfax. As well we weren’t aware the vehicle only came with one key fob and now it’s a costly replacement we didn’t anticipate. We should have done more due diligence but it would have been nice to know on the vehicle inspection report rather than when we’re about to leave the lot. The finance department was helpful although we had to suggest they run the financing with both our names as it got us a better rate. Seems like something the finance advisor would do automatically. Overall it was an O.K experience at this Jim Pattinson dealership.

Unimpressed with service. We phoned 5.5hours in advance to book an appointment to view a specific vehicle with Elsa Bai. Upon arrival we find out Elsa is not available anymore and 15 minutes after our appointment time had texted a colleague to take over. 30 minutes into our inspection that collegue is available to help, only to realise that there is no gas in the vehicle to do a test drive. That collegue then goes on a 20 minute expedition to find a Jerry can to put gas in the car. SUCH AN UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNIMPRESSIVE EXPERIENCE.

Sam convinced us to make the effort to drive to North Vancouver to come and see him and we were not disappointed. We gave him the facts and he got to us a point where we could sign on the deal. He offered good service. He even offered to come into Vancouver to pick me up to pick up the car the next day since the car needed detailing and the lot was closing soon. The only reason we did not give him 5 stars is that we did not get the exact price we wanted but when does that ever happen. I would recommend coming to see him if you want feel that you received good service and that someone is trying to get you what you want.

A couple months ago my husband and I decided it was time to buy a car, we had a friend tip us off that there were good deals at the Jim Pattinson Toyota in north Vancouver. Before going in, we picked a car we liked online and talked to an agent back and forth. We decided that we were going to get it and now it was time to do financing. Leanne the financial advisor and Elsa went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure we could get financing for the car. I’m new in Canada and have one credit card for a few months so it was difficult but they made it happen. Just so you know not many companies will do that. A few months back we went to Chevy dealership on Maine and they were horrendous wasted hours of our day and not helpful or even kind . This was a much more refreshing experience. We went to go see the car on the lot and again Elsa and Leanne were extremely helpful and we ended up getting our first car! I would have it no other way. Update:Got my Prius from Jim Pattison I just recently got my Prius from Jim Pattison. Will share my experience. I thought to buy that car for long time, but when it just came I came and sit in basic level trim Prius and wasnt really exited about it. After a while I found I can get car what meet all my family needs - economy, safety, space and parking assist (what was helpful for my wife to feel confident on parking). We came at evening time really close to closing time as we dont have so mush time and meet our future agent Misha, I asked for test drive and he did arrange it in 2 minutes, he basically prepare car for us and we took a ride. He explained all advantages of car in really nice matter and we all felt in love with that car, as we want special color in special trim he was able to get us the one we want in a really limited inventory (actually our was last in Bc with that trim) and had feeling like we won bid war for house (some of you know that feeling right?). As I had really limited time they where able to fit me in schedule and fill up all papers including insurance for 35 minutes. I added rack in my list and Misha arrange installation for me. So I really impressed with selling department only one issue I have - I want dealership have best available trim on exhibition to touch - I understand it is a pain to watch cars to prevent people damage it and clean them up after...but I really want service department can catch up and bring their standards to Toyota brand and I am sure its happening know as I can see I have feedback about my previous Toyota. Service department is like your marriage - if it treats you fair will never be divorce. Have my Tacoma changing oil and after service found oil spot on parking space, after opening hood I found canister which was cut by my shaft and oil completely spray all around engine, when I came to Toyota they sent me to wait my turn...After manager of service came over and said that they known that lost oil can somewhere but dont remember where. I asked what they suggest he said we removed can and I can go - I asked if they clean all inside - but they didt i still have that oil inside my engine compartment, no bonus, no free oil change or something? so sad:( How can i trust Toyota know? Update :Toyota contacted me and suggested to fix issues, really appreciate and will update info as far will get there

Please don’t believe all the fantastic reviews about this dealership. When I originally leased my Toyota a few years back I was promised and received a free oil change for giving this dealership a fantastic review. I’m sure there’s many more reviews like mine because of the same type of compensation. Fast forward a few years from then. I am finding it very difficult to go back to this dealership due to the customer service, or should I say lack thereof customer service. Nicole Sweet - financial manager - ha! - is a deplorable representation of this dealership - late for my appt (despite sitting at her desk eating chips with her door open) yet somehow I got blamed for booking incorrectly? Huh? Her attitude was atrocious - just took my thousands of dollars without even a smile or thank you. Afterward - I raised my concern with the general manager - Doug Lum - who really wasn’t much of any help. He quickly replied to my initial complaint and said he’d follow up and get back to me. Well a month passed so I recontacted Doug. Well - he thought Nicole’s manager was going to follow up with me. Effective communication amongst the managers is obviously lacking. Be all end all - I was offered something like $50 toward my next servicing in which I have to contact Doug first. I think not. It’s come that time where I need a service again but I’ll take my business elsewhere where I’m treated and respected as a valued customer.

Today I had one of the most unprofessional experiences here in my history of dealing with vehicle dealerships. Over the past winter I had stored my winter tires here and when I called today to pick them up, the parts manager (did not catch her name) was so rude that I will never be doing any further business or recommending this dealership to anyone in the Vancouver area. I had asked if I could pick them up at 5:30 after work to which she told me the shop was closed at that time (seems reasonable). I then asked what the hours of the shop were at which point she screamed over the phone at me “THE SHOP IS CLOSED AT 5:30”. Clearly I understood this from her telling me that they weren’t open at 5:30 when originally asked but she still didn’t tell me the hours of the shop. When I asked if they would be open at 5:15 she told me “that would be a stretch” and when I asked about 5 she told me “maybe” and basically hung up on me mid sentence. All I am trying to do is pick up my tires, it’s not rocket science to pull them out of the back and have them ready to be picked up.

If you inquire about a vehicle online, get told they don’t take deposits on vehicles (even when you work in the middle of the ocean and are off the next day) and then you arrive, way out of your way and just as you’re going for a test drive - someone runs out to tell the sales person the truck is already sold. I purchased a second hand Rav4 2017 in June 2020. There were some scratches on the outer body, for which repair 3 to 4 times drop off was needed (Jim Pattison Toyota service). Final result was the partly removal of the scratches which doesn’t fulfill the expectations from the big well-known Toyota at all. unfortunately I have allergy to the dog and cat hair, 2-3 days after using the car some hair were found in the seams of the chairs so that due to this reason and interior door scratches I suppose that the last owner had a pet about which I was not informed. That’s not all and the main issue is that there are small flying insects inside the car which are really annoying and bothering as they are flying around and towards the face during drive. Customer service tried to clean the car twice with no success with no reaction on my feedbacks. Now I’m still waiting for longer than a month so that they arrange an appointment with a partner who can fix this issue !! As before no reply on calls or messages! To be honest I’m totally disappointed in Toyota customer service!

I had been looking for a new Toyota Tacoma with rare manual transmission for many months when I came across one at JP Toyota Northshore at the end of August. Unfortunately, by the time I got there the truck had been sold. My product advisor, Charlie Huynh then helped me build and price another one. We settled on a 2020 Tacoma double cab 6m in Voodoo Blue at a fair price. The estimated delivery of the truck from the US was for mid to late October. A couple of weeks later, Charlie informed me that the 2020 was no longer being built, but he was able to secure a 2021 model with no price difference. I was pleased with this development. I finally took delivery of the truck on October 30 and I'm very happy with my purchase. It was definitely worth the two month wait. Charlie was a pleasure to deal with and I shall refer friends and family who are in the market for a vehicle to him. Overall, a very good experience; well done!

No one likes to buy a vehicle from a dealership, right? Not this time. I haven't bought a vehicle from a dealership in years and I was pretty surprised at how easy and painless this was. I started looking for a Toyota Sienna AWD for my wife by searching the internet. I spotted one that looked promising at Jimmy Pattison Toyota Northshore so started by using their contact page. Pretty soon I was texting and talking with Ali and ended up purchasing a different van that hadn't even been fully accepted onto the lot as it was still going through mechanical. I then jumped on a plane and headed to Vancouver to pick up a van that I hadn't even seen yet. Ali tried to caution me that I was jumping the gun a bit but I was undeterred. It turned out that the van had a prominent scratch on one door. Ali said that they would fix it but it would take a week, but I wanted the van right away, so the dealership agreed to lower the price by an equivalent amount and I will take care of it a local bodyshop. Pretty fair I thought. Everyone I interacted with was pleasant, friendly, polite, and a pleasure to deal with. Ali was a terrific salesman and I feel like I made a friend. Denise came in on her day off to deal with the paperwork because I was from out of town, and Raj was super friendly and efficient with the insurance paperwork. The van was exactly as described, is a wonderful comfortable vehicle and my wife loves her van. She loved her 2010 Sienna AWD with 365,000 virtually troublefree kilometres and is lookinf forward to putting even more on her 2015 Sienna AWD Limited with 30,000 km. I've had numerous bad experiences through this dealership. Mainly the service center is the culprit. They have overfilled my oil and due to the excess of oil slopped all over my engine bay stated that I have a leak. Not often that you can speak to the service department on the phone. They claim that they'll call back but never do. This is the type of car dealership that would rather make the customer feel under confident than admit that they can make a mistake. When I discussed with an employee that I might try to use another Toyota dealer they reacted apathetically and had no comment about my decision. I had sent messages to the dealer and had been given answers that were incorrect on the vehicle such as asking if there were power mid windows, was answered yes and found on the lot that that was not the case. What compels me to write this review is the fact that when I came to the dealership to see the vehicle I found garbage in the vehicle and it was filthy and smelled like dog as soon as I opened the door. Truly shocking, I was not expecting such a lack of attention from a dealership with such a big name. The sales man tried to tell me it was certainly because the vehicle had just arrived on the lot. I informed him that the add had been up for 8 days!

OK, I will admit that I find shopping for new vehicles and dealing with sales people a less than ideal experience. That is until I met Sam Nejad. The BS was minimal and the pressure was non existent. I purchased a brand new Tacoma for my company and after selling my personal vehicle I ended up buying a used vehicle for myself. The individual with whom we were dealing with when we bought our Honda Pilot was the most PROFESSIONAL sale associate I have ever had experience with. Charlie Huynh completely went out of his way to welcome us up until to the final moment before leaving. Since my wife and I traveled from out of town, upon arrival he noticed the Van we were trading in and instead of coming to us, he got the Pilot parked it in the front and made sure it was ready for us and then proceed to come and introduce himself. This was nice because the time allowed Shari and myself to stretch our legs. Once the introductions were complete Charlie directed us toward the Pilot, where he thoroughly demonstrated his knowledge of the vehicle and answered all our questions. He took his time with the details but also allowed us to view and inspect the future purchase. After the test drive, we sat at his cubical and went over the trade in value of the van to which his professionalism shined! In my life time I have purchased 7 vehicles he was the first associate who actually went onto Autotrade and CarGurus to see what a fair deal for the Van. At this point he asked my thoughts on the value and then went to the sales manager. What associate researches a trade in for the customer except for a great one!! After the deal was done and we went over to financing, Charlie had the Pilot washed again. What surprised both of us was that before giving us the keys, Charlie put on rubber gloves and proceeded to go over the vehicle and wipe everything down again. He even did some spot waxing like the headlights, tires, bumpers and inside the doors. Both Shari and I can not say enough about Charlie Huynh and his Professionalism.

We decided to pop by the automall and was promptly introduced to Sam who would help me out through the entire process of purchasing a pre-owned Honda Civic. Not only was he nice, he was an honest guy and I really appreciate that he would go out of his way to help me out.
