Had such a great experience when buying my Elantra with Thiago (James) Santos, which was the main reason I had chosen Jim Pattison North Shore due to the amount of recommendations that I'd received from friends and other customers, and he indeed went way above my expectation. Had some warranty issues with my vehicle that required to leave the vehicle at the service many times and I wasn't provided with a complimentary vehicle, even though I have purchased the top extended warranty when I bought the car, which I also need it during the day as my job requires me to have a vehicle. Plus the initial customer service from the Service Advisor was a bit frustrating as she looked a bit moody and very straight forward when I was asking about the service required, and about getting a comp car. ----------------------------- Updating this review on October 17, 2020: Although my statement regarding Thiago (James) Santos holds. I can definitely not say the same about the Service department. I've been going through a nightmare that has last more than a year that has started with a warranty issue where I had a annoying scraping noise on my Elantra's steering wheel. It was fixed after a lot of back and forth but they caused a series of other issues in my car that had made me go back there countless times to fix them. Such a disaster! Now the noise in my steering wheel has been gradually coming back and when I brought it back there, their technician said "it was normal", even though we checked another Elantra together and there was no noise whatsoever. They didn't want to resolve the issue and now I don't know what to do and will probably have to seek legal support. I had even purchased extended warranty to my vehicle when I bought it just to avoid any headaches like this and now it seems that the way the warranty works is they will just say the problems in your car "is normal" and that some vehicles have it and others don't.

This review is almost 2 years in the making. My experiences with North Van Hyundai have all been excellent. It started when I was looking for a car after having just moved back to Vancouver. I had been looking at used cars and thought I'd stick my head through the door and do my due diligence... I bought a car on the spot. I know this isn't supposed to be a car add but seriously have a look if you're looking for a used car. If you show up during the right sale you'll get a smokin deal and get a brand new car with a warranty for not much more than a used one (and I'm still loving my Accent). The facility is clean, professional, everything you would want. Their coffee is pretty good too. However; what drove me to write a review isn't how pretty the show room is, it's the customer service. This is my first car, the process was daunting. Although I certainly talked to a lot of friendly people while shopping around, the folks at North Shore Hyundai weren't just friendly, but they weren't pushy either. They gave me the information I asked for, joked, took their time and let me make up my own mind. I feel like that comes from confidence that their product and competitive pricing sells vehicles, the staff just need to introduce you to their products and the rest takes care of itself. Beyond the sale I've been treated like part of the team every time I bring my car in for scheduled maintenance. I couldn't be happier with my decision to get a car from North Shore Hyundai. No regrets.

Positive experience from start to finish and none of the usual nonsense. I actually found the process of something I normally hate having to go through quite enjoyable. Marc, the manager was great as was Chris (?) and the finance guy. I went out of my way to go to the North Shore after being given the usual patter at the Hyundai dealership nearer to me on Boundary Road, Vancouver, which proved to be all mouth and no action.

I am so happy I came to this dealership. After being treated poorly and rudely at another dealership I came to Jim Pattison Hyundai with a hesitant attitude. Boy was I treated differently! Firstly, my sales lady, Amy, came out and offered to park my car, as there is very little parking in their small lot unfortunately. This was followed by a warm greeting by everyone in the dealership as Amy walked us around and showed us the cars we were interested in. She was very knowledgeable and really put into perspective why the Santa Fe would be a good choice for us. I totally recommend Amy and the dealership itself. Melissa in the finance office was also extremely helpful. I wish my car buying experiences had all been this fun and positive. Don't go to Destination Hyundai!!!

We took delivery of our new EV at the Jim Pattison Hyundai Northshore last week and will add that we had our first and very positive experience from this dealership. We had bought many cars from other dealerships before but this dealership is at the top of our list with our recent purchase. People are nice and very sincere in how they treat customers not just us but from our observation of others who walk into the dealership during our visit. Product knowledge about the car from our sales person (Hossein Khazaie) was excellent and we felt very assured to purchase the vehicle. Even the follow up after delivery was amazing! Our initial contact with the finance advisors (Matt Hazen and Zach Mansour) have been very positive too. My dad recently bought a car here and there was a little “misunderstanding” within the dealership as to what should have been added as a feature. My first instinct was “Great, another salesperson pitching a bogus story to get the sale” however after just one call to Chris the manager the issue was resolved with much ease. The sales person was also very pleasant and took a lot of time helping my dad. I would definitely recommend these guys and will be going to them when we are looking for our next car.
We have been driving a Hyundai for many years and have purchased 4 vehicles from Hyundai North Shore in the past 5 years. In December 2018, we purchased our 2019 Santa Fe, and recently a 2019 Tucson. For both of these purchases, we've had Product Advisor, Ali Fasaei-Zadeh. He has always been very knowledgeable, patient, understanding, and courteous. For our most recent visit, we did not have an appointment and we just walked in to see what our options were for 2 trade-in vehicles for the Tucson. We did not expect to drive home with a new vehicle hours later! Ali was quick to greet us knowing who we were and listened attentively to our situation and was able to help us straight away. We highly recommend Ali as a Product Advisor, as he has always made us feel comfortable without feeling pressured - which is what you look for in a sales representative. I bought a second hand car from Sean D and it was a great experience. He was very helpful throughout and made the experience seem pretty seamless. There was no pressure from him to buy and he included my four year old daughter in the process. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a car. They are very "kid friendly" and all of the staff were personable and professional. My wife and I were not thrilled with the insurance agent however. He seemed to be in a hurry and told us a lot of numbers. I would have preferred some papers to follow along with what he was telling us. The end result was we got insured and drove the car off the lot. We are thrilled with our new car and look forward to doing business here again.
I called to get a quote for a timing belt change and they said around 300$. Came out with 700$ without any other unexpected fixes. In other words, they give you a lower price on the phone (lie) to get you in, which I personally find very unprofessional.

My experience at Jim Pattisson Hyundai in North Vancouver Automall. June 10th - I respond to a market place ad about a 2015 BMW I3 with a range extender I book for a test drive for the next day. Red flag: The marketplace ad put the car at 23,500 but on reaching the dealership Frank tells me that the car is actually valued at 24,500.that it was undervalued in the ad so they actually change it to 24,500 I test the vehicle for about 15 minutes and everything seemed alright. Frank tell me that new sets of tyres will be installed once I am ready to pick it up. We haggle on the price and finally come to an agreement of $202 bi weekly with $5000 down for 60 months . On Saturday June 13 2020 I go to pick up the car at around 2:45pm. The car is being charged and frank tells me that the new sets of tyres have been installed and the car will be detailed after. The whole transaction and insurance stuff ends at around 5:30 and they hand me the keys. While on the highway I hear a weird sound coming from the front wheels. I immediately contact frank about it and he says that the sound is actually being caused by the rusty parts in the wheels since the car had not been driven for some time. He also told me to keep driving the whole weekend and hopefully the wheezing sound will stop. THAT DOESN’T STOP. Sunday June 14 I fully charge the car and I get only 90 km on the charge instead of at least 130km. I took the car to a bmw mechanic to take a look at it and he told me that the problem was with the brakes that had been fitted wrongly and they were seriously worn out. Monday June 15 I drive the car back to the dealership and meet frank. I tell him that the car still hasn’t changed and the km on a full charge is way less than what he had promised. He tells me the car had passed 100 point inspection test and am left wondering how a faulty car can pass that kind of a test. Frank gives me one of his mechanics (who apparently owns and had worked for bmw before )to be in the car while I drive it so he can listen to what I’ve been talking about. The guy acknowledges that there’s indeed a problem and he doesn’t know what it is. So he directs me to the parts and service manager. I told the service manager that I felt super unsafe driving that car and If it was ok I could have a courtesy car while they looked at it. The manager said the car is drivable for now and he books me for an appointment on Wednesday June 17th. June 16th. A full charge gives me another 80km. I started to drive and the sound is just as loud. Then suddenly on the highway I see the check engine light on then followed shortly with a louder bang. I stop the car to check what’s the matter. Front left tyre is flat and burning rubber smell comes out. I could have been in a bad road accident if I lost control of the car. I immediately call the dealership and let them know what’s going on . They tell me to tow the car in. They finally give me a courtesy car. I honestly love Tim patisson group of companies but this particular dealership is a no no for anyone planing on getting a used car. They push repair time to a further date so that it gets closer to the 2 weeks exchange window period. The manager didn’t even say a word to me he avoided eye contact with me the entire time. They finally said that it’s the tyre that they ordered that was defective and not their workmanship. If you ever go to this dealership just buy a brand new car not a used on. It almost cost me my life

These guys are great to deal with. They let me take my time when trying out a couple different vehicles and did everything to accommodate my wishes when I had decided that I was thoroughly interested in one of the used vehicles. Unfortunately I could not go through with the purchase because me and my partner agreed it was not 100% the right time/vehicle for us, and these guys promptly refunded me and gave me absolutely no hassle. When I am ready to purchase a vehicle in a few months, they will be at the top of my list to deal with. Very pleased with the entire experience.

I had an extremely good experience at the Jim Pattison Hyundai Northshore! The car that I bought from this dealership had tinted front side windows, but no one in the dealership warned me that having tinted windows is illegal under British Columbia law. Months passed, and then I got a violation ticked for my tinted windows. When I approached the general manager, Mr. Goodman, not only handled my frustration professionally, but promised to look after my ticket and get the tint removed. He sent a cheque to my home and made the arrangements to get the tint removed with no extra cost. This is an example of excellent customer service!

I usually don't write a review but, The service and deal at Jim Pattison Hyundai Northshore were amazing! I searched for many electric cars that I was interested in and found Hyundai IONIQ, a fantastic technology system, good for the environment, even looking good! My boyfriend found the dealer shop just to browse it first and, I ended up coming back to get the car the following week. The service that I have got was beyond. Fred, the product advisor, was knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to help me to find the perfect car for me. He listened to me carefully to what I was looking for and made sure all my curiosities and needs were satisfied! Bryan, the financial manager, made my financial deal process understandable and efficient, considering my budget and knowledge. Also,, the general sales manager Judd brought my car from Victoria Island because the vehicle only had 5 left 5 in B.C. at that moment and he found one for me ! Frankly speaking, When I decided to buy the EV, my boyfriend and I went to another dealer shop before, but we only felt they just tried to sell a vehicle, and we didn't feel comfortable. However, the whole team members in Hyundai Northshore are unbelievably helpful and genuine. I could go to other places to buy a car, but as you know, shopping is tiring, especially when we need to deal with it financially. Do not waste time. I bought a Honda HR-V through Daniel Golparvar recently. It was a long distance negotiation as I'm in Winnipeg, and he's in Vancouver. The experience could not have been better. I told Daniel exactly how much I was prepared to pay for the vehicle, and he made the sale happen. I think I got a very good deal. Of course, I had to travel to Vancouver to pick it up and drive it back to Winnipeg. Over the period of a couple of weeks, we got everything sorted out (Brian Charles, the finance person, had to be convinced that I was eligible for a provincial tax exemption and that I could buy insurance from Manitoba Public Insurance. But once he was convinced, everything went smoothly). So far, I'm very pleased with the performance of my new compact SUV. I really enjoyed dealing with Daniel. He was my first point of contact and the person who welcomed me to the dealership when I arrived to pick up the vehicle. I can't say enough good things about the way I was treated throughout this process. Thank you, Daniel.

Jim pattison Hyundai sales person's and sale manager really care about me as a customer I appreciate their customer service, service manager and mechanics are helpful and friendly too, but they really need to re-concern some of the stuff, the lady at service desk is RUDE and IMPOLITE, she is not listening at all and act like she doesn't care about you! Very happy with my car; and some of the nicest people I have ever come across in the auto industry work here. I went to this location looking for an SUV, and Allen (the associate who helped me) showed me all my possible options in an incredibly genuine way. Allen was very patient and friendly, and very much understood that getting a car is a big moment for a customer. He really made my family and I feel that he was on our side, and we felt no pressure from him to decide what so ever. I was able to narrow it down to the 2020 Tucson. I settled on getting the preferred model and after receiving the car, I realized that I wanted the step up and Allen was able to speak with his manager regarding this special circumstance. Chris, the manager of this location spoke to me, and was able to make this transfer of vehicle happen even though I had signed off on my car already. This was an incredibly nice gesture and they even gave me a great deal on the car regardless of this. The leasing manager Brian, who helped me with the paper work and setting up the warranty that was correct for me, did an incredible job to make this transfer seamless. He was very down to earth and made me feel comfortable while being there. Long story short - I love my car and I would highly recommend leasing or purchasing a car from this location, because they have amazing people working there from the bottom up, and I really did feel like I got the best deal possible after browsing other dealerships and companies that were around. Having been trying to purchase a Hyundai Genesis Coupe, 2010-2012 model for the past 4 months, I was all about ready to give up after some horrendous experiences (like at Jim Pattison Toyota Surrey) in testing and negotiating for the car. However, I spotted a posting for a brand new 2012 Genesis Coupe 2.0T Base model at Jim Pattison Northshore, and I contacted the dealership inquiring about the car. From the first point of contact via email and walking into the dealership, Sean Rahili was the utmost professional and was extremely helpful in testing the vehicle and providing information on the vehicle. Sean was upfront and easy to work with in negotiating a fair price for the vehicle, which we closed out the deal in a relatively short time period. The purchasing experience and the vehicle purchase was excellent, and I walked away happy with my new car. Sean also followed up after the purchase, which gets an A+ in customer service in my books. I HIGHLY recommend coming to JP Hyundai Northshore - and find Sean if you can - for all Hyundai vehicles in the Lower Mainland.

I have been through a nasty ordeal since May 2018 with this Dealership where I financed a new vehicle purchased in 2014. There was fairly high turnover in staff at this Dealership between 2014-2018. This review is my experiences and opinions that can be substantiated. The highlights (or shall we say low lights): My Hyundai vehicle had a technical and/or mechanical breakdown on the repeat. I didn't know what it was and relied on the 'experts' here where I purchased the vehicle to figure it out. I say repeat as first I was told adamantly by Service that the compressor needs a full replacement (at my expense as warranty had conveniently recently expired). As such, it was replaced. However, the same original failure occurred again 30 minutes after picking up the vehicle with its new compressor! The second time I was told adamantly by Service it was not the compressor but, rather the vehicle's computer and that now that needed replacement also to be at my expense. I was not a gullible customer and asked many questions at this point about misdiagnosis #1 and how did we move from that to a vehicle's computer? Anyway my phone records can show the countless hours between the Dealership, Jim Pattison Group and Hyundai Canada on this matter and the push back I received. It was like how dare I challenge them on the Service, how long it was taking (weeks) etc., yet my safety was on the line when something on the vehicle is failing and they cannot get it right sending me away in what was to be a repaired vehicle. So get this. After the computer is replaced, once again I am assured by Service (and echoed by the GM) that they got the culprit and the vehicle is fixed. As such, I went to pick-up the vehicle. In the parking lot. An inspection at the invitation of the Service. I am peering over the vehicle's hood while he (Service) turned on my vehicle to illustrate the A/C turning on/off (you can see the compressor wheel under the hood) and next thing I hear is a loud hissing sound followed by a loud pop and smoke! At the hissing stage I ran away, but I could have been injured big time! Service was so shocked he threw-up his hands and said "I don't know...I don't know...we tested it over and again and it was fine." At this point we were in excess of one month on this repair issue. I was not given an apology that day and the Dealership down played the severity of this occurrence. I left again without my vehicle. We got to the point of negotiations by my persistence (and it was exhaustive my employer can substantiate all the time lost!) because enough was enough. Even at the point there was a contract to present to me issued by the Finance Manager there were typed errors in it including both the numbers and even my date-of-birth! Yet, he mistook me for being challenging when I refused to sign it (it was on a Saturday, no GM around) stating "there must be an alternative motive why you won't sign this" telling me to just leave then and I looked him straight and said I will not be pressured into signing a contract, there is no motive, the contract is wrong and I have a consumer right to information to what I am signing and a proper contract. I left and took the matter up with the GM and yet, another subsequent in-person appointment and more time. So, to conclude this... although there is more I could write...can you believe this 2014 vehicle that I contractually got out of the Dealership in turn, put this same vehicle back on their lot for sale!! I have the photo! I guess they are going to say to the new buyer they finally fixed it.... MY RESPONSE TO GM: Marc, your reply is an arrogant 'gloss over' without context. Educated customers will see through it. A "free" courtesy vehicle is the LEAST you can do for a client who is making payments on a finance without having the vehicle as it's sitting on your lot with misdiagnosis x2. To get out of the MESS your Dealership created and receive a small dose of compensation of course I'm going to take a 2019 as its from Hyundai not you, but no way is your Dealership going to screw up the 2019!
Allen was such a delight to deal with. He went above and beyond everywhere he could. My car buy started from a used car and ended up in a new one and i can easily say it was flawless. Not only allen, everyone i dealt with there was amazing. Highly recommend this dealership ????????
Recently my partner Jason and I stopped by the Hyundai Northshore dealership looking to trade in one of our cars. We were met by the amazing Alireza Monemi (Ali) who took so much time working with us, test driving the cars, showing us all the features and explaining all the details of trading in a car. Next we met with Melissa Milnes, one of the store managers, and she again explained the process, was fair and honest and an absolute treat to deal with. Up next was Bryan Charles from the fiance department. Bryan was so thorough, and detailed in working out the finances. As it turned out, we ended up trading in both our cars and purchasing 2 new ones I'm so happy to recommend the team at Jim Pattison Hyundai Northshore. We walked away with 2 great vehicles, and cant say enough about the service!
I talked to Ali Fasaei when I went there. He was very welcoming and professional. We talked about different options and he asked me questions about what I was exactly looking for. After having chosen the model I liked, he did his best to get me a great deal. I received my car in less than 24 hours and I'm truly happy about my choice. Great team!
This has to be one of the hardest dealership to park at. The staff are friendly, if you can park and talk to them.
We got our car with Hussain and couldn't be more happy. Finally a person who knows everything about cars he's selling. Very professional and helpful and also with a great sense of humor. This all make it a very pleasant experience. Also a shout out to a very kind cashier!

Jim Pattison Hyundai Northshore helped me get my Veloster back up and running after a check engine light caused by another dealerships negligence, they were incredibly patient and understanding, gave regular updates and clear explanations of the work being done and what had caused it to do this. In the end I could not be happier with the repairs done, and thier amazing customer service- both of which I would not have gotten from my home service center. My only regret is that Jim Pattison Hyundai Northshore is not close enough to me to be my regular service center!
Great buying experience in difficult COVID times, staff so obliging
I visited this dealership with my boyfriend with the intention of purchasing my first brand new car after I got license and it was not a great experience. We were introduced to Nick P. and it seemed like he was not too happy to talk to us or eager to sell us on anything. I told him i was trying to purchase a new car that would fit my budget and he put in NO EFFORT into helping me find a car that would fit my price range. Finally, he then showed us the 2018 Hyundai Accent Hatchback, which looked really nice overall, but he was not saying anything the entire time my boyfriend and I looked at the car. Shouldn't a salesperson be showing us the features and benefits of the car, not just stand there quietly, in order to get the sale? He wasn't giving us any information about the car until we asked him about it. And it was always one-word answers. After that, we went back to his table and we wanted to talk about the numbers. First off, he was so unwilling to give us a quote or even a range of the monthly price for the car. Lastly, he was unwilling to work with my budget, even though I said that I have been to other dealerships and they have offered me a better price. I would not recommend you speak with Nick, and perhaps talk to another salesperson who is more willing and excited to sell you a car.

Got my wife’s Tucson back in June. I wish I can give this dealership a 5 star as I was really impressed with the attentiveness of the people working there. So here’s my story. Walked into JPH about 30 mins before closing time on a Friday afternoon. After receiving not even a glance from another Hyundai dealership in Vancouver, I had 4 people approached me in less than 5 mins of entering the dealership asking if I needed any assistance. It felt great being noticed. I was fortunate to be introduced to Matt and we had build a good rapport in less than 30 mins. After everything was negotiated, I was promised a SUV in about 2 weeks time if I’d signed today. The vehicle was on a ship coming here according to the sales manager. It was a no brainer to do so as I liked the way the negotiation went and I like the people in JPH. Here’s where the missed opportunity happened. My salesperson had a family emergency to attend to and had to leave town ASAP. One would ASSUME that the sales manager or any one above him would take over his clients and keep them informed as to the status of their vehicles. I’d emailed the sales manager 2 days after signing the contract to ask about the wait time for other colors. No reply from him whatsoever. 2 weeks went by and the promised delivery date came and went by. I’d waited till the next day to inquire about the status of the vehicle. I know from past experiences that delivery dates can change depending on many factors. Not a problem or a big deal unless the dealership doesn’t inform you about it. I had to make several calls and no one can give me any satisfactory answers. I had to wait until Matt came back to find out no one made a purchase of the vehicle so I now had to wait another week and a half. Again, another delivery date came and went and I had to take the initiative to make the call to find out what’s going on. It’s delayed for another 2 days as I was told. Do we see a pattern here now that the customer is always chasing for the answers and not the dealership making an effort to inform the customer. Taking possession of the vehicle was not as stressful as some of my past experiences. Bryan, from finance, was quite informative and explained our options to further protect our new purchase. We did not feel pressured to purchase any extended warranties in our meeting with Bryan. Later on, Matt came and spend more than 30 mins explaining the features of the vehicle. Matt is a no nonsense kind of salesperson my wife and I can see ourselves working with in our future car purchases. I had a talk with the GM afterwards and we had agreed that mistakes were made and that there are processes in place to deal with situations like this. I really like the people at this dealership and hope they can learn from this missed opportunity.
In Vancouver, we bought our first new car at Hyundai North Shore! The quality of the service transcends the barriers of the relations between the customer and the salesperson. the Hyundai North Shore team go a step further and create an familiar relationship. This was my feeling as James Santos served us. James was the consultant who gave us all the necessary support and clarified all our doubts! I'm extremely satisfied.
My last experience was really top notch. They called me to update my software for free and I have not had any problem with the turbo since. It was erratic before.
We had an excellent experience purchasing our first new vehicle with product advisor Hossein Khazaie and Financing Manager Bryan Charles. The staff were very thorough and courtious and made sure that we understood what was going on every step of the way. Would highly recommend for repeat business.
I would not recommend going here to purchase a car, especially if you don't know much about purchasing/owning a vehicle. I knew nothing about financing or vehicles when I came to Jim Pattison Hyundai and they really took advantage of that. A year later I now work in the industry and realized how bad of a decision I made buying here. I will be reminded of it for the next four years. The process was not easy and I am extremely unsatisfied.
The worst purchase experience one might ever have !!! We bought an ultimate trim new Hyundai Ioniq plug in hybrid from this dealership months ago. Unfortunately they took advantage of our not knowing the standard fees of the car and imposed several fees on our lease contract!! On this ultimate trim vehicle, they had charged us $245 for wheel locks and mud guards!!, also $100 for air tax, $380 for washing the car and putting 30 liters of gas in it!!, that if I took care of it myself would cost us $55 instead of $380. They also charged us $495 financial services fee for just getting a lease loan from the bank, which we could do it ourselves free of charge! These fees were all added up to the documentation fee which was the only standard fee in BC!! The worst part was that the so-called 'financial mgr' did not put any time on explaining the most important part of the lease contract which was the "implicit financial charges" that was actually the interest on our down payment!!, meaning that we wouldn't have lost so much if we did not pay so much down payment on the lease contract!!! When I complained to the main sales manager of this dealership, he didn't know what the fee was at the first instance!! and searched it on Google, then he just said that "I agree that it's not fair, but that's how it is. You can complain to Hyundai Canada", and when I called Hyundai Canada, they said the dealership and the Sales Manager were responsible for explaining these details and fees to you!! Luckily when I complained to the Vehicle Sales Authority in Langely, they took back some part of our money from the dealership, but I wish I had never purchased the vehicle from this dealership and recommend everyone to stay away from them...

The salesperson who i had was very arrogant and not pleasant to deal with. He didn't want to negotiate because of the demand for cars due to the COVID pandemic. He was not a good listener either. Parking lot was very small. No parking for customers. They only have one driveway and it is usually blocked or crowded with other cars. A person with a pickup truck would not be able to drive in and if they did they wouldn't be able to move around. There is a Santa Fe with the bike rack that is always parking in the driveway. Not sure why the driver thinks that is a parking spot. If they moved that car then it would certainly help with getting in and out of the parking lot. They should park on the road just like everyone else.

I just dropped by to look at a Tucson and I met Frank one of the sales representatives. It was a nice change to some of the dealers in the automall. No pressure. We discussed the features of the vehicle and at the end he thanked me for dropping by. I'll go back there

Daniel was attentive, not pushy, very respectful and able to answer questions about the vehicle. If he didn't know, he found out for us. Hoping for many years of driving from this car!

As a single woman shopping for a new car, I have encountered no end of fraudsters. What a delight to find a dealership where the first concern is for the client - getting the client into the right car at a fair price. My sales rep was a fresh-faced, courteous young man named Stephen Bell who spoke enthusiastically about the wonderful staff he had the privilege of working with. He said that he was a university student, and that he was "honored" that the Hyundai dealership had hired him for the past two summers. Stephen worked tirelessly to find the right car for me over a period of several days, and seemed to enjoy my delight at finally finding the perfect car. I think it is extraordinary that, rather than handing me the keys and sending me on my way, they have arranged for a two-hour tutorial for tomorrow when I am to pick up my car. They explained that they really want me to be knowledgeable of all the bells and whistles before letting me go. I am completely delighted with the service I have received at Jimmy Pattison Hyundai Northshore.

Do not buy or deal with Jim Pattison Hyundai Northshore. We put a deposit on a new vehicle decided to cancel the purchase for good reason and they would not return it. Forced to purchase!!!! The reponse was buy the vehicle or lose the deposit. No reputable dealer would do this. Rude Sales Manager. They really want your money. The vehicle is great however. Reply to Owner. You will not find this name in your system. The purchase was 3 years ago. I did not post review at the time as I accepted the outcome at the time but I assure you I was not pleased and let it go. Recently I looked at a vehicle with intent to purchase. Placed a 1000 deposit and asked if I will get my deposit back for any reason. The response was yes no problem. I discussed my experience and the response was your behavior was petty and low. I assure you it did happen and I am posting now on behalf on my experience and to share to potential customers. The sales person Misha spend the time from the beginning to help us find the right vehicle ,he was with us during whole process of buying our new car , he is awesome , Andrew was the shift manager who was very polite and professional, We had great experiance with north shore hundai and do suggest you to choose them if you are looking into Hyundai.

I bought a 2015 Tucson here in September. My salesman, Rosil, was very good. I uunderstand he no longer works there. The finance manager and service man were friendly and helpful. After that it went downhill! I took my car home the evening I bought it. The next morning, I had a flat tire and two cracks in the windshield which weren’t noticeable until the next day in the sunshine! I returned to the dealership the next day where the tire was fixed. I had to return 2days later to get a new windshield! I also was waiting for a fob. I was travelling the next day so my car was returned while I was away. I came home to a car with chards of glass the front seats and a fob for a Kia! I returned the 5the time to get the car cleaned and the 6th time to get the fob. I talked to the sales manager and the general manger but got no satisfaction all my trouble. I asked for a second fob but didn’t get one. About a month after I bought the car, I called asking for Rosil but was told he no longer worked there. I got another sales person who hung up on me. I phoned back and the receptionist said he was busy and would call me back! I am still waiting several days later! Initially the personnel were very friendly but the follow up was frustrating and not very acceptable. I will never return to that dealership!!

Absolutely horrific experience. Informed us our car problems were an after market alarm system, sent us all over the place trying to find a fob only to tell us later that day it wasn't hooked up or the issue. No communication, don't call when they say they will. They can't provide a courtesy car on a $2500+ bill with our car out of service for at least 5+ days. I would never return or recommend.
Dropped off the vehicle for summer maintenance and a recall check, and they had everything finished in just over an hour after the set appointment time. They even washed it and vacuumed the interior without being asked!
Felt like because I don't look like I have money (I do) I was treated like a peice of garbage. The service desk receptionist was extreamly rude and perturbed that we interrupted her breakfast while (she was working) she did not listen to me which caused much confusion and alot of my time (my whole day) had she had listened and believed me my day would not have been wasted. Manager was equally arrogant and rude, he proceeded to treat us like garbage and not help us considering they had made a mistake and cost me 6 hours for nothing. Horrible staff horrible service my car breaks still make noise after service clearly they didint service my whole car or my breaks would have been fixed do not bring your car here if you look like a middle class person they clearly don't like that! If that isint what their problem was in have no idea what is was then.

I bought my 2017 Hyundai Tucson and it was the best decision I've made. With having previous issues with Kia Canada, Hyundai matched everything, plus some. Their customer service was the best I've seen from a dealership. And to my salesman Andrew; he was kind, listened to what I had to say, and made everything simple
Ordered a part for my car in 29-Jun-21 with delivery date to 28-Jul-21, but after 3 months still didn't received the part. Every time I call the dealership they extend the deadline to delivery the part.

This place is the most disorganized dealership. It’s an absolute joke.
I had a good initial experience with the sales staff there, I believe it was franco( whichever gentleman moved from Ontario recently.) he was attentive and answered my questions well and I was excited to get started on the process of buying the Kona EV. My problems started when we had started the purchase process and had to deal with the Sales Manager Kong. He was abrupt and rude and basically told me that I would need to put a $1000 down and wait until November when they would receive the car before getting financing in place. I informed him that I wanted to apply for financing now so that I can be sure to lock in a rate for the vehicle. He was again abrupt and showed that he had no concerns for me as a customer. After realizing I would get nowhere with him I happily drive to the Kia dealership and applied and was approved for the Niro EV and was well taken care of there. Also it’s only 3 month wait for the Niro versus the 5-7 month wait at Hyundai. Save your money and more importantly save your time for a dealership that will respect your wishes. Do not go JP Hyundai in north van.
I just bought a Santa Fe and I love it. I purchased my 2010 Tucson from Jim Pattison Hyundai 7 and a half years ago and I loved it. An unfortunate situation happened and I no longer have my Tucson and needed a new vehicle. I no doubt knew I was going to get another Hyundai. I met with Tom Cantley and he showed me the Santa Fe which I had expressed interest in. We took it for a test drive and he answered all of my questions, and there were a lot! I felt no pressure from him to buy it whatsoever. Tom is very good, informative and an all around cool chill guy, very personable! The team at Jim Pattison Hyundai rocks! I highly recommend Hyundai and go see Tom, he'll fit you with the right vehicle! I got mine and it's awesome!
I asked for a quotation for an especific car, color, model 2020 and availability and they sent my a propossal confirming that they had it and that it was valid for that day. I went to the dealer 2 1/2 hours later and they told me that it was not available any more but I could have a model 2021 at the same price. Finally they not respected that offer but that we can split the difference between they and I. With regrets I agreed but they did not accomplish either that offer. I ended buying a car from another brand that fulfilled all that they offered.
I had bought the new Tuscan 2018 from JP Northshore Hyundai. The purchasing process of the car was excellent. However , when it came after to booking the first service appointment it have been a headache . Booked an appointment online then they canceled it. Called few times till I gave up and had to book my service across town to Hyundai boundary Vancouver I guess in nutshell the sales department experience for me was great. The service department not by much
They sold me the wrong part after I gave them the Vin and would only give credit but don't want to deal with them. Go to Open Road hyundai across bridge and get much much better service.
It was amazing! Being a single lady it is pretty amazing how the salesmen push you around. I wanted to buy a CX5 with Mazda, but my daughter said let's go check this place out first. We went in and we're greated with smiles and it just felt warm. Our salesman wasn't pushy, in fact when I told him I've owned 3 mazda cars in the past, he understood why I was hesitant with the car. When we left to look at the Mazda cars he said any questions please call me. He had a lot of knowledge on the Mazda and said yes they are great cars. Ironically the Mazda salesman actually made me go back to buy the Santa Fe. He was pushy and even yelled at us. Non of that at this dealership. In fact the manager was warm and joked around with us and treated us like people. Really enjoyed this experience and tell everyone about them. I'm in sales also and actually picked up some pointers while I was at both places. How you should and should not treat people.
I bought my car from Hyundai coquitlam 5 years ago but because I live in northvan I take my car to northshore Hyundai for services and problems. I had a few issue with my car and Raymond in Northshore Hyundai was kind enough to take care of them all professionally. There was a weird noise coming from my dashboard and also the player had some issue which was fixed by technicians at northshore Hyundai. overall they were fast in communication and I was very happy with the service I got at northshore Hyundai. what is important for me is customer service after the sell. Most companies care about selling and once they sell something they wouldn't care about the customer service. I highly recommend Northshore Hyundai to anyone who wants to buy a car and get a decent customer service after the purchase.
Mitch responded to my emails quickly and kept me up to date. Each staff person treated my family warmly during our time at the dealership. Ali treated us with respect during the whole process and answered all our questions both before and after we purchased the vehicle. The staff are not knowlegable on current promotions. Initially we dealing with James who seemed friendly at first but didnt show up for our second appointment which was very unperfessional. He didn't call or reschedule. We showed up at the store for our appointment looking for him, only to find out he off. We waited 45 mins for someone else to look after us. During our negotiation we asked our sales rep Mitch about the 33 month free maintenance on the Hyundai gls, he said he wasn't too sure and would look into it. When we went to finalize the deal and asked the account manager Brian he said he knew nothing about it. When we showed him proof from online that this promotion is offered canada wide, He read for the first time like it seemed the promtion, and then said it was only on a 33 month lease not for 48 month lease. When my husband and I advised other dealerships were offering it even for a 48/64 month lease and it would just cover 33 month of maintenance. Brian simply said " if they are offering, then you should just go there". And that's exactly what we did. My husband and I ended up going to lougheed Hyundai where the staff was more knowlegable on the promotions and were super friendly and even gave us a better deal on the car. All in all, we were so disappointed in the staff at Jim Pattison Hyundai, and I would not recommend my friends or family to purchase a car here because if the staff aren't knowledgeable on canada wide promotions advertise all over the internet and instores, it makes me worry about their knowledge in what their trying to sell me.
I could not comfortably recommend the Jim Patterson Autogroup after my experience purchasing a Hyundai Tocson. there were several things that left me very unsatisfied and the process was't an easy one.

I have a Hyundai new car.(purchased on last August) and this is my 1st service. I checked the cost - oil change and tire relocation) of other branch that I bought the car but the branch is far from my home (North Vancouver). I believed the cost could be similar with other branch, but Hyundai north shore is more expensive over 20% ( I showed the cost of other branch to a receptionist but the guy said "Oh we are franchise, different price". He did not explain why the cost is different) . Moreover, my care is new car but north share branch charged miscellaneous costs (nuts, screws...) .They are all guaranteed parts , uh? And I waited almost 2 and half hours just for oil change and tire relocation. Next time I can have many options like other branches, Mr. Lube or local auto shop.

Buying a car is an experience that I always equate as going to the dentist-necessary, but painful. I don’t enjoy the usual high sales pressure tactics or the condescending attitudes that I sometimes come across. I recently purchased a 2016 Hyundai Elantra from Jim Pattison Hyundai Northshore, and I am happy to say that the experience was an exceptionally positive one. From beginning to end, my product advisor, Babak Mousavi, was professional, personable, and helpful. He was upfront about what he can or cannot offer on the car. He didn’t play any mysterious number game with me, and he was always very gracious during negotiations. I really enjoyed working with him, and I got the car for a great price. His exceptional customer service didn’t end once he had the sale “in the bag”. There was a mix up with one of the accessories after the purchase was done, and he promptly took responsibility (even though it wasn't his fault) and corrected it. I bought a hyundai veloster from this dealership last april 2017. My sales agent was andrew kim. Thru the start of me inquiring until i bought the car Andrew Kim was very helpful. Recently I had trouble with the fin of my car which blew off while I was driving. The after service said that it wasnt covered by qareanty. I was furious and not impressed because the fin was defective and hyundai and the service department did not want to cover the replacement I called Andrew Kim and within just 15 mins he figured how to assist my predicament. I would recommend Andrew kim from this dealership. He goes above and beyond and what he needs to do specially after sales service.. Andrew Kim deserves more than 5 stars

I have had multiple issues with this dealership in the past 4 years: - Waiting long time on the phone to talk to someone. - We took the car for a safety recall, and when took the car back, the check engine was on! They didn't take responsibility for whatever wrong they did on the car. No one takes my call and it was very frustrating. - in 2017 I went there with my family to lease a new car. After half hour waiting the showroom to talk to someone, and staff just joking with each other, I left this place. I ended up leasing the car from OpenRoad Boundary Hyundai dealership.
Very unhappy with their approach. I had a morning appointment booked like 3 weeks in advance. I had to book a half day off so I can drive there, wait for the work to be completed and drive back home. On the morning of the appointment, they called me they don't have the car part they would need to install and they need to cancel the appointment and reschedule me for another time. I'm like WTH, they couldn't let me know earlier during those 3 weeks? They just found out about missing part 30 minutes before the appointment? Not cool and losing half day of work because of them just sucks.

A few days ago while 1000 kilometers away from home I pulled into a North Vancouver tire shop to check out the squeal in my brakes. The shop not only charged me to look at the car in order to determine the problem but prescribed work ,including the changing of calipers valued at over $1400. They further promised to call the RCMP on me should I decide to drive away from their premises, assuring me the police would arrive quickly and present me with a $350 fine for driving a dangerous vehicle. The next morning I pulled into Jim Pattison Hyundai who assured me that most of the repairs recommended by the tire shop were not neccessary, in the opinion of their factory trained technicians. As I was in a rush to return home they juggled their busy workload in order to accomodate my schedule. The repairs were done for less than half of the tire shops estimate on the same day. I was also very happy to report that when my car was returned it had been both washed and vacuumed. These guys were honest, ethical and reasonably priced. I will recommend them to all of my friends. Pattison was Awesome!

I just bought myself a 2015 Hyundai Genesis from this dealership and it was fantastic! As a first time car owner , I was obviously a bit confused about the whole process and didn't know what to expect. Thankfully I was put into great hands! Andrew Kim helped me narrow down my preferences and led me to realise what exactly I wanted in my new car, beyond the initial price-tag. We took me out for multiple test drives, at my request, to help me pinpoint exactly which car was suited for me. He made the whole process very straightforward and a lot less overwhelming. After Andrew I spoke with a woman named Melissa, who just as Andrew had, explained the whole process over in detail so I knew exactly what was happening. With her help I was able to chose the most effective way for me to buy my new car, and feel secure in the knowledge that I made the best decision for me. Finally came Bryan, who took me through the final ( and I'll admit slightly tedious ), process of Insurance and car coverage. There are so many options out there, with some very confusing fine details, on how to protect your car. Bryan explained them all to me thoroughly, and made it very easy to understand my options. He was committed to helping me get the best coverage I could for my dollar, and that really stuck whilst he was explaining everything. Needless to say, if I hadn't of had these friendly and highly approachable staff members to guide me through this process, buying a car could have been very uncomfortable. So thank you very much to the sales team at Hyundai Northshore, I absolutely love the car, and the service was impeccable. I'm sure I'll be seeing you again!
The overall experience at Hyundai Northshore has been unpleasant and put a big damper on the excitement of getting our new Santa Fe. While we really like our new vehicle, we’ve been ignored and given the run around more times than should be acceptable. We bought in mid-July. Despite our new vehicle being on the lot, administrative delays with our trade-in pushed pickup to the end of the month with no updates while we waited. We added on a trailer hitch that had to be ordered and our product advisor, Chevy, offered us floor mats and a trunk liner. A week later we were told that the hitch was arriving on August 12/13 and that floor and trunk mats were behind his desk ready to pick up. On August 25, after several unreturned phone calls and messages to Chevy, I contacted the general manager and, wouldn’t you know it, my phone was ringing ten minutes later to arrange installation another two weeks later. At the appointment, the service department informs me that floor mats for our vehicle are “in development” and have never existed. But hey, said what had to be said to close the sale. No courtesy car available but am told by Chevy that I will be reimbursed for Uber rides to and from. The dealership covered the ride home, I won’t hold my breath for the ride back. Fine if you can’t or don’t want to provide floor mats, we didn't demand anything, but don’t offer a product that doesn’t exist. Fine if you can’t or don’t want to cover Uber rides, but don’t offer if you’re not going to fulfill. Indicative of the overall sense we’ve got that the customer is important until the deal and money are locked in. After that, we’re just a nuisance. The vehicle is great. The experience at Northshore Hyundai leaves a lot to be desired.
Excellent customer service. I used to work in the auto industry and was disheartened that the dealership I had worked for would favor customers who purchased their vehicles from them specifically. I moved to North Vancouver three years ago and was quite concerned that all dealerships practiced this. I had no reason to fear at all. North Shore Hyundai has been phenomenal for maintenance and other small issues with my Hyundai. The service staff is exceptional. 10/10 would recommend and I will most likely be purchasing my next vehicle here.

I had purchased my first vehicle here last Wednesday (2018 Elantra SE) and had Daniel Golparvar as my sales person. He went above and beyond to help me and really worked around my budget! Went for a service appointment. All employees but Mark Schultz (Service Advisor) were very helpful. I specially loved John (The Colombian guy) - he even offered me coffee while I was waiting, told me they could also wash my car and if I needed anything else just to let him know. Mark on the other hand was so rude when I was asking questions. It was as if I was committing a crime for asking how much would be the total cost, how long they were going to take. My husband who was on the phone was shocked at how aggressive he was being towards me :(. Long story short I told him he was giving bad customer service and I didnt need to be yelled at, left a note for the manager , asked for my keys and left the dealership. Too bad because I live very close so it would of been a no brainer to go there everytime our car needs anything. oh well...

As first time car buyers the process was a little daunting. When we started shopping the first dealership we checked out was Jim Pattison Hyundai Northshore. After a few test drives and educating us on the Hyundai product we were interested in, Nick was able to give us further informative information on other manufactures vehicles and which ones would be worth a test drive. Then, instead of roping us into the office he encouraged us to shop around, so that when we made our choice it would be the right one. Shop around we did. After test driving comparable models from Mazda, Ford, Acura, Toyota, and Nissan, nothing came close to the overall experience we had with the Hyundai Tuscan and Nick at Jim Pattison Hyundai Northshore. Rick, the Credit Advisor is awesome as well, and was able to get a young couple approved! Check them out if your serious about buying a new car!
Visited this dealership last week to look at a vehicle and will never go back again. I'm gonna skip the essay and get right to the points. 1) Parking situation is a nightmare. You'll be lucky to find one. 2) Customers are not greeted by any staff (etiquette?). 3) No one smiles, most staff seems stressed out & unhappy with their job. 4) Sales associate Babak B. Bijari is hardworking and dedicated but it looks like he doesn't get the support he needs which puts him in the bad spot, being the front liner dealing with customers. 5) Manager is proud and arrogant. Lacking communication and basic customer service ethics. Not very smart in earning business either. The above reasons are good enough to take my business elsewhere.

They trick you to accept their unreasonable fees on top of what you see on the website. They play "I've got good news and I've got bad news" game. You can find better prices and deals other places. Hyundai brand is very good generally though.

I have been visiting the Jim Patterson Hyundai North Shore shop for more than five years now. I bought and got my car fixed at another shop before switching to this shop. They have always been nice towards me even with my awful complaints. I had many strong complaints because of the car's manufacturer deficient. However, I went there today without an appointment due to an emergency with the passenger side of the window unable to close, which I didn't want to leave open overnight. I changed appointment many times because of my busy schedule these days. When I was there today I was looking for Carson, one of the employees; I didn't mention that I was looking for him, but a new person was there and said it was not possible to fix it today. With disappointment, I looked for Carson or Raymond. I saw Carson approaching to his desk and I explained to him about my car and he looked my car and tried to find ways to fix it right away!! He always gives his best to find the best solution whenever I go there. His customer service is always the best and he did it today again. I really appreciate him and want to share his excellent service. I really appreciated Carson today. He always makes it possible.

From start to finish Allen and the entire Northshore Hyundai crew were excellent. Allen helped me navigate my trade in and then set me up with the exact car I wanted. He was informative, helpful and genuine throughout the whole process. Can't say enough good things about how I was treated.
The worst purchase experience we had with the worst car dealership... We bought an ultimate trim new Hyundai Ioniq plug in hybrid from this dealership a couple of months ago. Unfortunately they took advantage of our not knowing the standard fees of the car and imposed several fees on our lease contract!! On this ultimate trim vehicle, they had charged us $245 for wheel locks and mud guards!!, also $100 for air tax, $380 for washing the car and putting 30 liters of gas in it!!, that if I took care of it myself would cost us $55 instead of $380. They also charged us $495 financial services fee for just getting a lease loan from the bank, which we could do it ourselves free of charge! These fees were all added up to the documentation fee which was the only standard fee in BC!! The worst part was that the so-called 'financial manager' did not put any time on explaining the most important part of the lease contract which was the "implicit financial charges" that was actually the interest on our down payment!!, meaning that we wouldn't have lost so much if we did not pay so much down payment on the lease contract!!! When I complained to the main sales manager of this dealership, he didn't know what the fee was at the first instance!! and searched it on Google, then he just said that "I agree that it's not fair, but that's how it is. You can complain to Hyundai Canada", and when I called Hyundai Canada, they said the dealership and the Sales Manager were responsible for explaining these details and fees to you!! Luckily when I complained to the Vehicle Sales Authority in Langely, they took back some part of our money from the dealership, but I wish I had never purchased the vehicle from this dealership.

How can you not buy a new Hyundai with such great vehicles they have with so many features - they are quieter and drive better (their turbo engines are amazing) than their competition and the only manufacturer (beside sister company KIA) who offer not a 3 (Honda, Toyota, Mazda, Subaru, Nissan, Jeep, etc) or 4 (VW, Mini and all the German brands) year bumper-to-bumper warranty, but an industry leading 5-year one (not just the engine, everything)! If you want to keep another few hundred dollars in payments per month in your pocket then go Hyundai (0% for up to 84 months now - can't be beat). Cheers
