Began maintenance on time and finished early. Autobody is also very helpful, precise, and flexible. Parts were delayed resulting in overall repair delay but they were helpful in offering a vehicle to keep my business going while the work truck was in the shop.

****HORRIBLE TREATMENT AT THIS DEALERSHIP, AVOID THIS DEALER AT ALL COSTS, THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF SENIORS!****** Purchased my Aveo from this dealer, had all major services done by this dealer. Yet at 75K kilometers my timing chain breaks and even the tow truck driver knew what the issue was right away. Despite thousands of owners complaining of this same issue online and a class action lawsuit underway, Carter’s only option is to replace the engine for $4K at the customers expense with no warranty! The dealership was told to not do any work. We decided to scrap the car and were then presented with a $180 bill by the service department for “diagnosing the problem” even though we told them what the problem was when we brought it in. Even the tow truck driver thought it was disgusting that they charged us for this. i will never purchase another car from them and encourage all seniors to beware as they take advantage of seniors!

I have only used Carter Chevy for the service on my 2009 Cobalt. The prices are fair, their service is excellent. I have ALWAYS had a very positive experience from having my car serviced here and as a result have never had a major problem with my car. They took an hour to check that my front exhaust pipe had a hole. Charged me $150.00 and the quote to fix it was $500.00 Rip-off and the service is so bad they make you feel like you got no other option. Luckily a friend recommended Midas and they did the job with all brand new parts for $150.00 parts and labour included. I am never taking my Chevy to the GMC carter brentwood. And as soon as I sell this car I’m never buying a Chevrolet. Next time anything but Chevy.

We purchased a 2018 Volt Premier. The car is absolutely lovely. The sales agent and purchasing department were excellent. BUT....the nitrogen tire "option" was an exorbitant rip-off. I'm sorry! I know of no other term for something that costs a lot, was not asked for, and has no discernible benefit (BTW, I'm a commercial pilot, so I know about nitrogen in tires more than the average person). I would happily shop here again, but I would be vociferous about removing nitrogen from the tires and putting in air and saving $598.00

The service was done with professionalism, transparency and timely. I was a little disappointed in seeing a line of brand new Cadillacs, trucks including my own Denali to get work from a reliability stand point waiting to get work done. Shuttle rides can be busy, so Uber can be an additional cost if you can’t wait. The employees were kind! The four star was from how big the line up was for new GM vehicles needing work done.

Carter Cadillac always accommodates my needs and exceeds my expectations. The last couple of times my contact in this dealership was Mike Mcintosh from the service department and he was just excellent. I live in Whistler and coming to North Vancouver to get my Escalade serviced is not always easy taking into account my busy schedule and time restrictions. Mike understands and accommodates it with always having a nice rental vehicle ready for me , so I can do stuff in the city meanwhile. It is very hard to come across this mixture of experience, outstanding professionalism, understanding and positive attitude that Mike demonstrates every time I visit this dealership. I am not "Brand Loyal" and typically purchase a different Make/Model each time I purchase a new vehicle. That being said my spouse is looking for a new 2018 Jeep and frankly there is no reason I would ever purchase another vehicle from Carter Dodge. Sales staff demonstrated a lack of product knowledge and clearly did not follow direction regarding the requests made by the purchaser regarding the terms of the purchase on a factory ordered vehicle. As the purchaser I almost walked on the deal but did not want to see another client driving the vehicle I specifically configured. Due to the delivery date I actually had to place my brand new vehicle into storage or allow Carter Dodge to store it pending the requested delivery date. I can say this was the first time in my life I drove away from a car dealership with a brand new vehicle and was pissed off instead of happy with the agreement I had made. Well simply said that will never happen to me again.

My experience during my purchase and follow-up service is excellent... salesman knew his vehicles... all paper work done is the way you would expect. :) The service department always goes an extra step... IE. full description of service needed and done, vehicle was always washed and cleaned after service, great valet service... door to door... with a smile. Ive used this GMC dealership several times for routine maintenance on my 2017 sierra elevation. Ive found their customer service to be prompt and professional.The car wash and vacuum is a nice added touch to the service provided. Oliver in particular was quite helpful. Getting the bill can sting a little, but nothing is cheap in 2020!

Yesterday I purchased my first car from Carter GM Northshore dealership, I am really happy with the Hyundai Accent that was on their certified used car lot. I felt comfortable with the end negotiated price and with my dealings with Ninno and Martin, the sales men. They were both professional and kind however, was put off by an interaction with the Sales Manager Tim, I found him to be really rude after the sales negotiation had been concluded. There were 3 customer service opportunities that could have been managed better. 1. I didn't receive a follow up call after doing my initial test drive of the car. 2. We agreed upon a 6-630 pm sign off appointment at the dealership, but were waiting until after 7 pm (we didn't drive off until about 830 pm, which is long after a full work day, and on an empty stomach). 3. An experience of purchasing your first car that should be deemed as exciting, blissful and special, was squashed by a rude service manager that has left a sour memory of my experience. In the end, I am really happy with my cute little car, however, would not go back to Carter for any servicing or future purchases. A.

Very unhappy with the service department. The individual at the service desk had no idea what how "Low Mode" operates on the Chevy Malibu. When I asked a question about the Regenerative Barking System on the hybrid, he told me the selector while in Low Mode shifted gears from 1 through 6. This was complete nonsense; the selector simply allows the operator to move between mild and aggressive regenerative braking. Chev needs to train their staff with respect to hybrids.

A few Months after warranty expired on my Traverse I had to replace leaking steering system - 4K. This is my second Chevrolet, and after this expensive repair I am convinced that this brand is not up to levels of other cars. So many repairs and only 70K+ kilometars On the top of it, service department should have noticed that there was leak possibly long before It totally ceased. I am scared to go to the shop right now as I feel that it is just beginning. During past 5 Years we had warranty covered many other issues, so overall, it is better to buy Japanese until quality picks up at Chevrolet...

With the lack of vehicles around and used vehicle lots prices up 20 percent I started looking at brand new for my xt4 purchase. Ignacio got back to me fast that they had one took my info and within a few hours I was the new owner of my wanted vehicle the 2022 Cadillac xt4. The staff all were very prompt and knowledgeable and I had a pleasant buying experience after 7 days of used car lots it was a welcome smile and great service. Took in my ‘97 GMC with a stalling issue and they were unable to diagnose it. Also I was charged labor to install a part that was never installed. I would say they made an effort but they also kinda rushed me out and hinted to take it somewhere else - which was disappointing because I had already taken it to two other mechanics previously and figured GM should be able to fix it. Also I tried to buy a new van and the salesman took all my info and never got back to me. I said I’ll buy this van can I put a deposit it on it and he said come back later and I never heard from him again. Buying a new Ford now. I’m giving three stars because they were not terrible, just disappointing.

Great service. I reported the accident to ICBC online and got an email back from them almost immediately. I then contacted Carter Chevrolet and made an appointment. They took care of everything and got me a loaner in minutes. A week later I brought back my loaner, signed a couple of papers, and took possession of my car. It was as good as new. Purchased a 2020 GMC Canyon Denali from here in April 2020. Staff is very nice to deal with. No Pressure from sales individuals and they actually listen to what you're looking for. Their service and repair team as well as their customer service members are incredible. I am so happy with how both me and my vehicle are treated here. I used to own Ford vehicles prior to switching to GM, and there's many reason I stopped purchasing from Ford. GM has everything I'm looking for to be a happy and loyal customer. Please keep in mind that the vehicle service team only works Monday to Friday, and not on weekends.

Used to take my vehicle here for service but got sick of taking it back over and over again for the same problem while it was under warranty because they favor the manufacturer 100% over the customer. Once it is off warranty and your paying the bill they have no problem what so ever finding problems and racking the service bill up however. The Burnaby Gm is owned by Carter aswell and have the same insulting service and demeaning attitude towards any complaints you may have. Thier service department policy is similiar to that of lawyers. Billable hours per a day where the mechanic gets paid per job. I.e. how many hours the service book says its takes to fix. So if it is done in less time he can move onto the next job and he and the service department get paid more for the allotted hours at the expense of quality control. The other problem is that diagnostic time is Not paid for by the manufacturer which disuades the dealership from doing a dam thing which saves the manufacturer money because they know you cant keep taking time off work to bring your car in and eventually a good % of people will give up for not wanting to be that 'complaining customer' and by that time the engineering department May figure out the latest bandaid computer reflash, So unless the engine light is on or parts are literally falling of your car and the manufacturers engineering doesnt have a "bulletin" posted yet for a "fix it solution" based on other customers (guinea pigs) complaints your car will sit on there lot till the very end of the day when they call you at 5 expecting you to some how make it through traffic to pick up your car before they close only to be told by them that 'they couldn't 'Duplicate' the problem or that the problem your experiencing is 'Normal' even though said problem never occured when you test drove the vehicle or spent the last year driving it everyday without said problem. There is a reason Gm went bankrupt and we should have left it that way.

They are great what can I say. I have been there many times specially in service department, Karl Kenny is knowledgeable person he listens to all complains and makes sure all are being taken care of. This Saturday my car broke down and was taken to the shop, well it was 7pm and we did not have any other transportation. Today which is Sunday I went there just to see if I have any chance to get a loaner car because we needed one so badly (considering it is Sunday and service department was closed) so I went to sale dept which was open, explain everything to Gregory Neilson he explained how service dept's loaner cars are for this purpose, but he did not let me down, he got me my favorite car, as the loaner for the day which I can't thank him enough. long story short they care about you and how important your vehicle is in your daily life.

Sleezy, high pressure sales tactics along with outright fabricated assessments from the mechanical department. Bought a used low-milage Ford Ranger here in October, came with a clean mechanical report, clean carfax, list of work done and assurances that as a "licensed" dealership there would be no funny business. Brought it back three times in two weeks due to very poor fuel mileage, alarming front end noise, and issues with the emergency brake failing to disengage. It was made clear on my last visit not to bother asking for any more corrective work and that no refund would be offered. Fast forward to December, truck taken to mechanic due to noise in engine after driving out to Alberta for work. Dual timing chain tensioner failure diagnosed, requiring an engine pull. Upon removal, mechanic found the clutch was also EOL. $2600 later, truck runs great!. Should I have had to put $2600 into a truck I bought three months prior from a major dealership? These guys knew what was up and flogged a lemon. Utterly unacceptable. Avoid at all costs.

I have been going to Carter GM since I bought my first used Escalade ESV in 2102 . The service dept is really does give amazing customer service (except for the guy who answers the phone and makes apts. he has no customer service and really does not listen to the customer at all) . They are always friendly and will spend the time to go through every detail of your service . This is my 3 rd SUV that I have bought at Carter and my first new one . I just bought a Suburban and I am so happy with my purchase . Ninno was so amazing at finding us the right vehicle . He listened to what we needed and found us the SUV that filled most of our criteria. A week after I purchased the Suburban he took the time to show me all the new technology . We also happened to buy during the “Costco “ promotion and it was truly an amazing deal . Not all dealerships have it so I suggest you check in with Carter GM to see when it is on. Ask for Ninno when you do !

My 2014 Buick Regal’s “check engine” light came on while my husband was showing his family around Vancouver. We live in Seattle. He took them to the Sea to Sky Gondola and soon after leaving there the light came on. After calling AAA who called BCAA, the car was towed to Carter GMC in North Vancouver. It was after hours so the key was left with a note in the after hour drop box. Even without a service appointment, Carter GMC diagnosed the problem as a corroded coil and procured the part and installed it in just 7 hrs! I want to thank everyone in the service and parts department for their excellent and rapid work! You relieved a lot of stress for which I will be forever grateful! We are one family from south of your border who will ALWAYS be fans of Canada! Addendum: the “check engine” light is on again as the car is getting on the ferry to Swartz Bay and Victoria! Why didn’t you check all four cylinder coils for corrosion!? This was supposed to have been fixed yesterday!

Poor service. My mom made an appointment to test drive a car. We were greeted luke warmly at the door and then were promptly ignored. We sort of milled around awhile, waiting for some help but ended up leaving after twenty minutes. My mom feels that she was ignored because she is an older woman. So obviously you can skip this place if you are looking for a car. I tried emailing them to give them a chance to address the situation. The email they have on their website isn’t working, which of course reflects poorly on their competence and their level of care for their customers.

I bought my first truck here 2016 by nino, while in the dealership he constantly left me to go greet and talk to other people leaving me at one point with another sales person to do the test drive of which he did a fantastic job starting to explain the features of this truck until nino kicked him out and asked me to come back inside with out actually giving me a test drive?! I knew which model I wanted before I came in so I ended buying with no help from the sales person, Couldn’t wait to get out. The next morning I got a phone call saying there was a dangerous defect with the control Arms and would have to be returned to the dealership witch after paying $350 dollars for a post delivery inspection pissed me off. Fast forward a year after only getting dealer maintenance I’ve given up in there service department Aswell.I had some concerns regarding 2 issues and both times they can’t find the problem and say it doesn’t exist. One of the issues was regarding squeaking coming from the front end after carefully reading my service report it seems they charged me considerably more to do the same amount of work that would’ve been in a multi point inspection. I always pay for the multipoint inspection and they don’t do all the work they say they have, I recently got a flat tire and had to put a spare on which was flat After only a few days had passed since they checked it off, taking the Lugnuts off the nuts where not tourqed to spec some very easy some harder. All in all the people I’ve gotten to deal with have demonstrated to me that they do not care I spent 53k on a new truck and just wanted my money and to leave. I’m looking at buying more vehicles in the future for my company and will not do business with these people again for there lack of customer service and dealer support.

Oliver and Zack are my go-to guys, I feel that they have always taken care of my requests and my vehicle marvelously. They don't fit the "stealership" narrative as I've never felt pushed into any wallet-flush services. From sales to service this has been the best place I have dealt with. I have a 2000 1500 silverado, a 2017 silverado and a 2019 calarado. For me and my crew. These are all work trucks and we definitely put them to the test. Sales team gives great deals and really works hard to get you exactly what you want or will certainly try. Get you to where you need to be with payments. Fit in my usually very quick turn around timeline and look after getting insurance coordination all lined up. They will be there when you need on your schedule. To me that matters a lot. Thanks John and and Nino. But I'm actually writting this review regarding their service department. I rarely have to go in (since they are Chevys :) and run forever.. but when I do the parts and service look after me. Spend the time to look up whatever it is for a part or with my truck.. get my trucks in quickly or on my schedule. I don't have much time during business days so they make night drop offs, next day pickups, picking up at night and paying without making it physically in during their service hours.. One situation in particular that blew my mind was something Garrett of the service department did for me a couple weeks ago. Garrett gave me a call to let me know my 2017 had a issue that needed some more expensive work and unfortunately my warrenty had expired a few months before this. This was a super random repair that would not be typical for a vehicle this new and that it was possible the issue was around well under warrenty but was not discovered until now. Of course I did not have any way to prove or be sure of this and neither did they but we could assume probable. They were completely in their rights to just make me pay full pop like a typical repair but Garrett took this seriously for me, put in the time and took it up the ladder. I did not expect anything, was just worth the ask. Its easy to say no so 99% of people seem to. Its easier and in their right. So I was completely suprised and blown away when he got back to me near end of the next day (he had to put some time into this) told me they had worked out a way to treat this as an extended warranty and I would just need to cover the deductible and GM would look after the rest. Full cost of the complete repaire. This was probably because it was very probable the ussue arose well under warrenty but didnt find it until after. Why did they do this. They didnt get much money from me, Garrett im sure gets paid the same amount and had to spend way more time. A favour from GM and their service manager. They already have me as a customer and a repeat customer at that, so they know I'm already there. Because they cared. Thanks Garrett, thanks Carter North Shore. Above and beyond. Nice to still see that once and awhile these days. Very uncommon

I had a partially dislodged front fender so I went to my helpful friend Zack in the Service Department. He advised me to go to the Body Shop around the corner of the building. Brandon at the Body Shop was great!! He spent a while trying to figure out ways to save me money, then brought in a guy from the shop floor who said the bumper could be reattached very reasonably. Brandon gave me an appointment for the very next morning. He said it wouldn’t take more than an hour so I planned to just sit in the waiting room. However, when I got there next morning the waiting room was really cold for an old girl like me. The A/C was more than efficient! Brandon fished a folding chair out of his own truck and set it up in a warm place outside. In less than an hour later the bumper was fixed and my bill was $92.00. From Zack through Brandon through the guy from the shop floor my experience was positive and pleasant! I would definitely use Carter’s Body Shop again should the need arise.

The service manager and other behind the scenes people that I dealt with failed to follow through with the services and fees discussed. The first time in there was a problem with the rental that they had arranged. To make up for this inconvenience a deal was offered on my next service. When i returned to pay for that follow up service there was no record on file regarding ,"The Deal". This happened twice at the same dealer. When I spoke to the managers to clarify our arrangement and get an adjustment to my bill no one recalled "The Deal". I do not recommend Carter North Shore. Please take your business elsewhere.

Update: Sept 1, 2017: Friday about an hour before closing, we had a non-repairable flat. Spoke with Karl at Service Department and given the long weekend coming up and our need for a vehicle, Karl made time to see us. Karl and his colleague Eric took the time to assess the flat and set the "wheels" in motion dealing with the insurance company to replace the tire. We were the last customer of the day but both Karl and Eric treated us as if we were the first and only customer of the day! The next day Karl kept us updated on the process eventually setting aside a loaner as the insurance company was off due to the long weekend. The following business day, we received a call from Eric when the tire was replaced - everything went smoothly even though our predicament took place over the holiday. Great service! ======================================================= Great service from both sales and parts. Ordered 2017 BOLT EV back in early part of 2017 and received great support in applying for the Scrapit incentive as well as help speed up delivery. Actual delivery day process was exceptionally well handled by all staff involved (Tim - Sales Manager, Deborah - Finance, Bev - receptionist, Matt - Parts and James). From the first person who greeted us (Bev) to each of the people involved, we were treated like family with our best interest in mind. Update on Bolt EV - Been driving for over 2 weeks and it is everything and more. Quality, ride, charging and range. At the moment, averaging low 14's kwH/100km which equates to over 400KM range on one charge! The Bolt EV was well worth the wait and add in the professional and personable service to get you a great customer experience at Carter GM North Shore.

We purchased a 4 year lease trade in vehicle, a GMC SUV, 2017. Upon arrival, we were given a beat up Fob(#2), only one and told it would cost $300 for Carter to get us a second one. We were given a $200 credit and advised we could try and get one at a dealer closer to us. This really is unacceptable. Two keys should be standard for any car purchase. The car is 4 years old, not a cheap vehicle. This Fob is missing a button, the key inside is full of dirt, or something!, it is difficult to use and we have been advised it will cost us $260 plus tax to purchase another at a dealership closer to home. Not a good way to encourage return business. I was also told I would have to purchase the touch up paint I requested. I refused! The salesmen grudgingly said he would pay for it out of his own pocket! Come on people, you are making enough money off these return leases, and at this point We would not be returning or recommending your dealership.

The service consultant was rude when she was asked if vehicle was ready. She stated the truck repair had not been started saying that she had time left in the day to complete the recall. I reminded her that I had mentioned that I needed the truck back by 2:30 to 3:00. She then stated that she heard me say I did not need the truck for the entire day telling me that I was lying. I spoke to the General Service Manger Jayson Lynch the following day by phone to advise him of my dissatisfaction. I have been a customer with Carter's since my first car in the 1980s and I have come to expect a much higher level of customer service and professionalism. I hope this type of incident is not repeated and this consultant receives further training in customer service. I also hope this is the final inquiry about my visit to Carters as this is the third time I have explained my negative experience.

If you're interested in a vehicle, ask to book your appointment only with Kyle; you won't be disappointed in your overall dealership experience if you stick with him. My only qualm with this dealership is the non-negotiable $598 "documentation fee". Quite an egregious fee on one of the notoriously known dealer markups/profits. When questioning it with a sales manager and being told "well we filled the gas tank for you", it was obvious where that conversation was going. I didn't know a full tank of gas didn't come standard with purchasing a 60K+ vehicle and was now part of the documentation fee? Overall, I enjoyed my experience simply because of Kyle and would encourage you to negotiate with him only before going to the finance manager (who was also lovely). Would purchase again only if dealing with Kyle.

Google Review I have been dealing with the Carter Group for over 25 years. I have leased or purchased outright more than a dozen vehicles personally and for my business from them. I recently went to do an end of lease purchase of my third Yukon (bought from Carter) - it is the first one that I leased through GM Finance. I was shocked to learn that Carter viewed this as an opportunity to charge an exorbitant mark up beyond the contracted residual amount. I contacted GM Finance to confirm the residual amount and was told that it would be $32,940 or $36,584.02 with taxes. However, I was told that I would need to contact the dealership to arrange payment. When I did, I was put through to someone named Nino and he told me “I will be your salesman” which seemed odd to me. I repeatedly asked him for a print out of the residual amount. He repeatedly told me to “just come down with a cheque”. I reiterated the fact that this was a company vehicle and to produce a company cheque I would need a proper invoice. My intention was to buy out the vehicle and sell it at market value which I estimated to be +$50,000. Finally, and reluctantly he emailed me a hand written “Proposal Agreement” (see photo). The total being $39,407.20. This amount is $2823.18 higher than the actual residual amount confirmed by GMC. I contacted GM Finance looking to just pay them directly and was told by Jessica that B.C. is the only province where they require leasing clients to go through the dealership at end of lease. Several days later I did get a call from Nino saying that he had “made a mistake” and he emailed me the “correction” below: DEALER PAY OFF QUOTE Correction Amount $32,940.00 GST $1,647.00 PST $2,305.80 Total $36,892.80 I also received a call from a Carter sales manager Tim T. who said that to make up for the situation which he described as “wrong” and an “internal” matter he would buy the car out right at “fair market value” he came over and offered me $3K less than a wholesaler had offered me. I know that if one of my parents had gone in, they would have ended up paying what the dealer told them they had to pay which is $2,800 more than what was owed. No one would have been any the wiser. I called back GM Finance and spoke to Niro. When I asked to speak to someone at GMF who would be concerned with what had taken place, he said, “This is the end of lease department so I’m not putting you through to the CEO”. Thanks. When I sent GMF a draft of this review I did get a call back from a senior representative who confirmed that the contractual residual amount is all the dealer should be charging and not marking it by $600 or $2,800. So yeah, sorry about that. I'm sure that Carter will respond and say it was a "mistake". My impression is that it's only one if they get caught. I for one will never lease from GM Finance nor buy a vehicle from the Carter group.

My truck had issues with def warning light and engine light. First visit dealer just reset the warning lights and performed forced regen as per instructions from GMC Fault was not fixed and truck was back within 3 days to shop. Full sustem scan found fault to be with a sensor that was ordered and took 5.5 weeks to be delivered. GMC canada coused delay. One week after repair both lights came back and truck was back for repairs. Now fault was found to be DEF injector. That was replaced within a week, and truck was returned. 12 days later same lights came back. Now dealer said it was same sensor and took another 10 days for replacement and testing. When i got the truck back it was only 4 days with me till sensor lights came back. Now dealer said they found the injector to be leaking again and has individualy tested 2 injectors and found them leaking prior to installation. I had an injector from a known good truck new installed and foult was finaly rectified. Dealer did his best to accommodate my needs during this ordeal however GMC canada has left me wandering if i will ever buy a new $75,000 truck from them again. The procedures for repairs was always dictated by GMC or so i was informed.

My 2006 Silverado went in for lube, oil filter and basic maintenance. The change engine oil light wasn't reset ( even though it was checked as done), the windshield wiper fluid wasn't topped up ( even though it was checked as done) and they suggested that my brand new Bosch windshield wipers needed to be replaced. What else did they miss? What else did they overcharge me for? I talked to Kevin, the general manager, and he said the next time I bring the truck in for service it will be free. I purchased a 2017 X5d in September 2021. Kyle worked hard to offer me what I considered a good deal and the rest of the process was very simple. In December, on the last day of my 3 month used car warranty I found the floor of the passenger side soaking wet so I brought it in right away only to be told that the warranty didn't cover water damage. That was when Eric the service manager went to work to see what he could do for me. He said to leave it with them for a couple days while they investigate, fix and dry it out. I live in Nanaimo so the ride offered to the ferry was a nice touch. When it was fixed and dry I got picked up from the ferry and once back at the dealership found a perfectly fixed car with no cost to me. There was no obligation on their part to fix it at their cost but they did. Maybe it was the spirit of Christmas, but whatever it was, in my opinion they went above and beyond and if you're looking for a vehicle you should check them out.

A Cadillac Escalade ESV owner since 2017, I am writing re my second one, a 2019 same model fully loaded. Recently took the car in for a scheduled service and two items that needed attention. As well had a small dent on the back driver side panel. The welcome, the service and attention to a customer was amazing. Once you are at their property you will be taken care of as a valued customer immediately and in all ways one would hope for. It will not matter whether you bought the car there or not, however, I would sincerely try buying your next car at Carter North Shore GM. The reception area and on site sales staff immediately greet everyone and offer assistance. The service manager, Eric Mitchell and the service persons I met were helpful and interested in any concerns that I had and inquired if there was any other things I wished them to look after. So refreshing to be greeted, listened to and served in such a helpful spirit. The service department and management are most accommodating re scheduling, providing a car if needed, attending to any small thing such as a rattle, or door not closing perfectly etc. I had a door closing issue which the selling dealership described as due to "air pressure" and the second dealership tried to adjust and then declared it was normal. On the first service appointment their technician had the door closing perfectly as all other three doors as Cadillac boasts of. The Service Manager listens carefully to the customer's concerns and considers then and then promises to find the solution. You probably experienced places that make it seem that your concern is not valid or is "just normal". You will not find that at Carter North Shore GM, Eric Mitchell will listen and give the best reasonable effort to find a solution for you. I am an older person with family and business's that all require cars and service. I can genuinely say that Carter North Shore GM is the best dealership I have dealt with whether it is a regular car or a luxury car. This is a strong endorsement of the way they treat customers and their business model, I stand with it, you owe it to yourself to try them first and speak to the various departments. Then compare to your experiences at other dealerships. It is my pleasure to relate my experience at this outstanding dealership and their staff members. I had my car towed here after it wouldn’t start and it was one of the best, if not the best, experience for repairs I’ve had. I was quoted for my usual oil change at ($69.95 pls tax and environmental fees) but when my car was ready I was told that I wasn’t being charged the right prices for all the years in the past. Well you can imagine the look on my face when the service agent revised the new price for my oil change at ($99.95 plus tax and environmental fees) In addition to this he tried to upgrade my oil and asked me if I was racing my car on track? I explained to him I used my vehicle only 3 month out of the year for casual use only and that all I wanted was my typical oil change which you’ve provided in the past. He also tried to pressure me in a service check for ($69.95) This was after I told him I was in a bit of a rush that day. All of his upgrading and trying to get me to add the service check was while I was sitting waiting for my vehicle. This is backwards and should have been discussed when I gave him my keys at the check in counter along with the revised quote. After my experience I doubt I’ll be returning back to your dealership unless things change.

I chose this location, even though it is out of my way, for it's customer service rating. I live in Maple Ridge. However, after my experience with them, I'll be choosing another dealership. I took it in for regular service, and paid the extra money to get the tire rotation and full inspection. Prior to going in, I advised there is a slow leak in one of the tires, but at that point, the warning light wasn't even on at the time of dropping off. As it was holding air for 7+ days, and only dropping 10PSI in that time. Later upon being in for service, they update me, mentioning, due to location of the puncture they recommend replacing. Nothing else was mentioned at that time. I said yes, I am aware and will change out the tire at a later date as it had been a slow leak and I'm okay with the slow leak. Upon completion of service (spent $700), they advise the truck is ready to go, and as I take my key, a technician advises "by the way, one tire is flat and nearly on the rim." Sure enough, coincidentally, it decided to stop holding air during the time it was in for service. However, while in for service, there was no offer or request to have this tire rotated out with the full size spare (standard on vehicle). I was not offered any assistance at the time and was left to change the spare on my own. I asked why didn't they didn't offer this, since I already paid for the tire rotation, and the service advisor said the technician noted that the "tread was fine on the vehicles and the tires did not require any rotating." As I was also trying to work from the dealership, I didn't have time to complete the change within the first half hour upon receiving my vehicle before I had to go in and attend another meeting. During my call with my work, the advisor that assisted me earlier in the day returned from lunch and apologized and offered to take the truck in to swap the tire out. Nothing more than an apology was offered. At the time of the original service, the alternator was found to be faulty and was to be replaced, covered by warranty, but because it wasn't in stock at the dealership, I'd have to come back, which I was okay with. I scheduled the visit for a week later. Upon arriving today, after driving in from Maple Ridge again, I was told after an hour of waiting, the part hadn't come in yet, and I'll have to come back at a later date. I wasted an entire morning and more than 80km of driving with nothing more than another apology. The communication has been appalling, and no value for the customer's time or inconvenience, and I will not be returning once the warranty work is finally completed.

Hi All, entered this car dealership after having another dealer advise me they were unable to provide the vehicle my Dad had wanted, a Silver XT4. I visited North Shore Carter Cadillac and discussed his wants with a salesman there. I was advised that the vehicle he wanted was going to be shipped from the plant soon. I was excited. My Dad and I went to have a talk with them and the salesman then suggested an alternative, that we have a look at a clear out demo model of the XT5. It was a bit bigger and had a more powerful engine, V6 vs 2.0 Turbo. We test drove both models. What a great idea. We ended up purchasing the demo model. It may have been a year older on the calendar but the mileage was low, the deal was great and all the required services had been done when required. Got for about the same price as the lesser model. My Dad is very happy. They were courteous, kind, informative and easy to deal with. No high pressure sales here. Covid protocols were observed and I felt totally safe at all times. My Dad is 88 and all these things are important to me. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience. Thanks to our salesman Ninno and Debra, their finance officer, for making this a great transaction. Other car dealers should take a lesson from these folks in how to be courteous and informative without being overbearing.

When it was time to get a new vehicle, I traded in my Dodge Durango and went into a GMC Sierra. I got a great deal, a really good trade in amount, and a new truck! I only bring my vehicles to NS Carter GM. I was recently rear ended and my truck needed some work. They had it fixed in two days, they arranged a similar vehicle for rental, and the work was done well. I am a loyal GM customer for life now , and will continue to use that location. The GM is Jack Teeple and I cannot say enough about him. He IS the reason I switched to GM and will stay there. I highly recommend visiting them if you need a vehicle or repair.

Well, until now, that I filed a complaint regarding the malfunction of a safety aspect of the vehicle (a brand new XT5 at the time of purchase, driven for 6 months, and the parking assist sensor/collision sensor just automatically turned itself off without being able to turned back on; plus the parking brake sign is shown on the dash regardless of you releasing or setting it), all I got back was simply rephrase as “hey, wait till 9-10 months then traded it in”???…So they technically told us to trade the car in instead of fixing it (it’s under warranty, what’s so hard about saying “we’ll take care of it, just please bring the car back for service”? I was totally disappointed with the refusal of responsibility of the dealership representative. Will not recommend anyone to purchase a Cadillac here again. PS: brought the vehicle to Carter GM Burnaby, and their representative was so much more helpful and professional. Got all the complaints looked at, and fixed.

Dropped my truck off to put new tires on got great advice on which tire to buy and a fair price. Then after they were installed they assisted me in researching my old tires to help me sell them as I didn't have use for the old ones anymore. Great service highly recommend them.

Took my Yukon in for a problem with the tailgate glass opening when you opened the tailgate itself. They worked on it checking everything, but couldn't find the issue, but didn't give up. Due to parts needed the price was a lot. Being a safety issue, it needed fixing. They called me the next day and they had tried something else, replaced a switch, cleaning and resealing the area so moisture could not get in. In doing so, saved the expense all the other parts. So far so good. I like the fact they kept trying, saving me a lot of money to find a solution. They also informed me of a recall, that will be done when the parts come in. I will use them again.
