The perfect example of how the appraisal system for old cars is broken. Walked in paid 60 bucks for a 50 dollar service where he asked what I had and what I paid and wrote me the appraisal. How is it you can appraise a car you haven't seen and know nothing about? Logically, you cannot. However he wrote it up and didn't have change for my 60. Riiight, just like you didn't have change the last time. Also no parking, at all. You will have to drive around find a spot and walk through the snow and their unshoveled parking lot and stairs. Bring some dawn soap because you will feel greasy when you leave.

I was told to write a review and give them 5 stars and they would pay for my first oil change. So if you are wondering why there are a lot of 5 star reviews.... This could be why. I didn't give them 5 stars. I gave them 2 stars. It took me awhile to write this because I was waiting to see what else would go wrong with the car. About 2 and a half months ago. I was in the market for a vehicle. I was looking for one that wouldn't cost a lot. I test drove a few different cars. All chosen by myself. The salesman didn't help in suggesting anything. The first one I test drove was a Nissan Altima. I owned 2 Nissan Sentras in the past and I loved them. So I thought I would give this a shot. The milage was high so the price was low. I could get passed that. What I couldn't get passed was how it handled. The suspension was shot and the brakes weren't much better. The car itself was very uncomfortable. When I told them this. They seemed shocked and said that I was the first to say this. I continued to test drive 3 other cars. They were all Chevy Cruzes. They all had problems. Some big some small. I eventually sucked up my pride and bought a 2014 Chevy Cruze. -The windshield was cracked. They fixed it. -The tires were winter and worn. They gave me new summers. They also mounted them on the after market rims that the car had. They didn't give me the special socket to remove the tires. When I texted Darin he ignored it. I had to get the socket elsewhere. -The engine light was on. They said they would fix it. When I picked up the car. The engine light was still on. They said they didn't have the part and would contact me when they got it. I waited 2 weeks and I heard nothing. I then took the car to another garage and had it fixed. I contacted Darin to inquire about a reimbursement for the cost. Since it was under 30 days old. He refused. I also had to get an axle seal replace which meant more transmission fluid. -I asked if I could get a trial package for the Satelite radio. Darin said "sure". It didn't work the first time so I went back in. He tried it again and it didn't work. I sent him the information and it still didn't work. Somehow a third party was given my phone number. They claimed to be Sirrius Xm. They kept asking for a few more dollars to extend my trial. I said that the trial wasn't work. That I had no radio. You may think that it was a faulty system but during the American Thanksgiving. There was a free few days for anyone who had a radio. It worked perfectly fine on those days. -The thing that bothered me the most was the smell of the interior of the car. It had a strong odor if stale cigarettes and what reminded me of cat piss. I told them about it and they said they would clean it. All they did was rub some very slippery polish over the dash, steering wheel and anything that was plastic. Adding a chemical smell to the already disgusting scent. For the first 3 days I drove with the windows down... all of them. I borrowed a upholstery shampoo machine and cleaned it myself. Ceiling, floor, seats. The water from the machine looked like black coffee with grit. I did this twice. The water wasn't any better the second time. I also washed the dash properly and got rid of that shiney residue that they smeared on. In conclusion, they weren't very knowledgeable about the vehicles. I bought a Cruze but I stayed away from the ones with a Turbo. Everyone that I know and even some strangers told me that Turbos are prone to break and cost alot to fix. At Top Picks the Turbo was a key selling point. When I mentioned it to the finance guy. He thought that people wanted the Turbo. They have a very poor key storage system. Sometimes they didn't know where the keys were when you asked for a test drive. They were however very eager to sell. This made it very fast when I did decided to sign papers. The paperwork however took longer to get ready than the car itself. I should've considered that as a red flag. I had to go back to Top Picks to get my used car paperwork and receipt/ownership. You get what you pay for. Buyer beware.

My experience with these guys was bad. I’d suggest shopping elsewhere. These guys will do or say anything to finalize a deal. They could careless about clients. Customer service is simply for show. On top of all that the used vehicle they sold me was driven hard and put away wet. In other words they sold me junk. When I complained about all the issues with the vehicle, they took my vehicle for weeks with no updates. Then Returned it with a coolant leak, a battery with a bad cell and a alternator that needed to be replaced. Sent an email complaint about the battery and altenator and no response. I’m tired and done, save yourself the headache and buy somewhere else. Response to below- you gave me a red van for almost 3 weeks. I bought a suburban because I didn’t want to drive a van. It’s funny that you think your customer service is awesome. When your sales associate lies to get a sale and then delivers me a vehicle with multiple issues and then you take that vehicle back to fix for over 2 weeks. Then when you give it back after the repairs it has 3 new additional issues cooliant leak, bad battery cell and alternator. That is not good customer service. The vehicle should have been delivered with no issues. That would have been good customer service. We are far, far past that. You have my email and my phone number. Reach out instead of demanding that I call you. I’ve played cat and mouse since October trying to get this vehicle in proper shape and I’m not interested in wasting another moment of my time calling or emailing you guys.

Well after many issues in the first year of my purchase with Top Picks, they helped me in anyway they could to ensure I was happy with my purchase, even though the issues were not a fault of theirs. Fuel pump needed to be replaced almost 2 months after my purchase, they covered it. I had a lifter go around the same time and they covered the additional expense. Then after 5 months the bottom end of the motor went and they battled with manufacturer and had it replaced under warranty after the manufacturer initially denied my claim. They covered a rental as well for me for the 40 days I was without my truck, being it took the manufacturer that long getting a new motor. So as you can see, I had plenty of issues, but they did everything they could to try to makes my experience a good one. Amazing service, thank you Dave and Joe!

Went in with high hopes after reading these reviews and was greatly disappointed after purchasing a vehicle. Received the vehicle with no back head rests and was told I would have them within a few days, this was almost 5 months ago and I have yet to receive them. After driving the vehicle off the lot, 2 hours later the check engine light came on. I live out of town so the vehicle was brought back to North Bay to be repaired. After two weeks of no vehicle, no contact unless I called them myself and hundreds of kilometers on my vehicle, I finally got it back to have the light come back on two weeks later. I had to pay out of pocket to replace the engine since the problem was never originally fixed, only covered up.
