We've got all the reviews of people like you who bought the products of Hopper Buick GMC (Car Concessionaire) near North Bay (Canada).
To this day the firm gets a score of 4.1 stars over 5 and that rating was based on 69 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is really high, and it is based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we can be pretty sure that the assessment is quite reliable. If people have bothered to leave their feddback when they are pleased, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to put scores when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Car Concessionaire belongs to the category of Car dealer.
Amazing staff! Very friendly and informative. So thankful that we bought our truck from Hopper's. Thank you and God Bless
Great place with great staff
Buyer Beware! The service @ Hoppers is terrible and dealing with them is painful. Firstly they sold us a lemon which they will not admit. This may not be the case when you buy new, I'm not sure but we bought a used van (3 years old) and within the first month had problems and had to spend our own money to fix them. When I called them to tell them about the latest issue (3rd major issue in a year) they asked how I liked the vehicle otherwise. (?!)
I've had good and bad experiences. It's a toss up. Some people are nice, some not so much. Sometimes they do good work that I'm happy with, other times not. Never bought a vehicle here though.
Hopper's has always been good to hubby and I. The service is amazing and everyone there is so helpful.
Great service everytime!
Very friendly & knowledgeable
Great place to get a vehicle.
Dropped our truck off for recent warranty work on a defective back window. Attempt three by the service department since February 2020 with assurance each time that they for sure fixed the problem and it won’t happen again. During this time we’re stuffing towels in behind seats of a brand new truck anytime it rains. Drop the vehicle off at 8:30 AM. Received a voicemail from the service reception desk at 4:47 PM asking me where I was because they’re closing in 13 minutes and I need to come get my truck - this was the first communication I received in over eight hours. Since you’re closing in 13 minutes and I was sent home in a cab and have no vehicle during rush hour I suppose I’m doing without a vehicle for the evening. When I arrived in the morning to discuss the work that has been done on my vehicle no one beyond the service receptionist wanted to speak to me, likely because the service dept can’t own up to their work. By no fault of her own she had no idea what would’ve been done to my vehicle and had to keep walking between myself and the service manager - who was standing 20 feet away - to get the details. guess he couldn’t be bothered to talk to me. When I brought the truck home to inspect it turns out what they told me they did was not what they did. They popped the top panel off and threw some caulking in along the window. Something I could’ve done a year ago and frankly would’ve done a better job. Sloppy!!! This took place on Friday. By Monday I was headed down to Mississauga to a Dodge dealership. Just goes to show you that customer management really does matter, even if you’re in a small town and think people don’t have options - were willing to drive 6 hours round trip to not deal with this “service department” since we were treated like a complete inconvenience anyhow. “Eh, just slap some caulking in there”
No parts for me
This place doesn't even deserve one star. DO NOT take your vehicle to Hoppers unless you want to be overcharged and having to keep bringing it back. I had an issue with my A/C and had to bring it back 4 times before they finally fixed it. I decided to give them another chance and brought it again for a door handle repair. Again, I had to bring it back as they fixed the outside handle but after I couldn't open my door from the inside. My plasitc panel still isn't fixed. Since I didn't learn my lesson, brought again for maintenance work and ended up with a $2000 bill to drive off and have my truck in worse shape than when I brought it in. Had to get the brakes re-ajusted just after spending a small fortune. Not only that, they told me I had to get more repairs done so I decided to get a second opinion and wouldn't you know it, don't need to get the work done at all and one of the jobs cost me HALF the price. Just ridiculous. I can't believe this place has a 4 star rating. This is the worse dealership I've ever had to deal with. Sure friendly staff but the guys that work in service are extra incompetent.
Great service!
Very friendly and fast, dealer trade from Barrie sent me right to the truck, no looking all over for it.
Busy at the moment but all in all good service.
Sales and service are great. Would recommend if buying a new vehicle
Friendly and helpful service department
Excellent experience and knowledge staff
Great service and sales team.
Great service department!!! I would suggest them any day!!! unlike the experience I had at true north , take your Chevy to the GMC dealership, they made me a happy customer leaving !
Good friendly staff. Whether you are buying or just need service you can't go wrong with Hopper.
Our experience was a good one. We dealt with Tom Brown, very courteous and helpful. Even though we did not purchase a vehicle from Tom or Hopper we were very pleased with his service.
Friendly and courteous staff. Had a great interaction with the sales man Mark . I love my new car !!!!
Brought my truck in that I had purchased from them to have an issue with ignition fixed, after they had taken the truck for an extra two weeks past when they said it would be fixed, there was an outstanding problem that was not there when truck was brought in initially. Owner demanded I pay extra for the issue created by the technicians, and that it was my issue not theirs. Horrible service do not recommend.
One star is to much, if I had the choice there would even be a star! I am disgusted by the way I was treated at this dealership. This was by far my worst experience EVER, with any human being. First we go in, I was looking to purchase used but was open to the idea of new. The minuet we walked in we were greeted by a man named Terry. One of the first things he said to us was that his name was on the side of the building. I didn't think anything of this at the time. We test drove a 2010 Honda Civic, nice little car, which was advertised as being sold certified. So we finally sat down to speak with this man... excited for a possible purchase. When we got down to it we asked to see a car proof, which was not ever physically handed to us even upon request, as we continued he told us he was going to sell us the car "as is" but when taking it to the licence bureau the company would flip the car to certified. This was to save us an administration fee of "$398.00" and instead we would only pay $175.00. This wasn't making any sense to me... the car was advertised as certified at $8995 plus taxes and licensing. I went home and thought about it, brought a family member up with me to take another look at the car. When we asked to see the car proof again he would not physically hand it to us, but instead curled the paper so it was out of our view and said everything was fine. When we asked if we could bring it to our mechanic he seemed infuriated, and said "Fine take it there and I'll sell you the car same price but as is, with no certification". The entire time this man was nothing but demeaning and rude. We left and spoke with a few officals, only to find out that what he was doing was ILLEGAL. He could not advertise that car as certified at the price it was listed and sell it to us as is. It was also illegal for him to add a $175/398 admin fee as it was not listed on the advertisement for the car. The following day he called me, when I answered I told him we were going to keep looking around. He seemed offended and continue to say "Ohhhh really.." I explained to him I had spoke to a few officials and that he was overcharging me, he quickly got off the phone to speak with his sales manger (the sales manager mind you was the one that approved the price we were discussing for the vehicle and the additional charge that was never to be there), and then he would call me right back. To my surprise he actually called back, he was as rude as ever and then tried to convince me to go with a lease of financing. When I explained to him that I would not be financing and that I would pay cash new/used he continued to say that "you couldn't do that, even I can't afford to pay cash for new". At this point I was fed up... I explained to him that this demeanor and treatment was the exact reason why he would not be gaining my business. To make a long story short this man was BEYOND rude, he was over charging us yet trying to make it sound like a sweet deal, and what he was doing was ILLEGAL. Buyer beware... if a car is advertised as X amount of dollars plus taxes and licensing then that's it.. there are NO additional charges/ admin fees as those are included in the price! Also when a car is advertised as CERTIFIED then it comes CERTIFIED, it is illegal to sell that car "as is" if its ad said certified. I will never return and you can bet every person that is close to me will not ever be doing any business there. I was HORRIFIED.
Excellent staff, very helpful and reasonable. :-) Great experience!
Satisfied
The salesman and owner made my visit there great.
The staff is extremely polite and respectful. I was able to get exactly what I wanted and for a very good price. I will definitely go back. It's worth stopping there if you're in need of a vehicle.
I drove from sudbury to northbay...they hooked me up with a truck that day so I wouldn't have to make a second trip...I was transferring all my stuff from my old truck to the new one and the owner came out shook my hand and thanked me for buying a truck from his lot...respect....I'll be back...highly recommended
Terrible service, right from the start... I do not and will not recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a GMC truck!!! Beware!!
Good service
Typical dealership
Great service!
I purchased a beautiful GMC Sierra Elevation in May of 2016. I contacted Meg in sales and told her what I was looking for and within a couple of days she sent me a pic of the perfect truck! The handsfree OnStar system is fantastic with my iPhone and I could never go without a back-up camera ever again. Meg was detailed about the financing options, the registration with OnStar, and the extended warrantee options. Within a week, I broke something on the truck (completely operator fault) and when I brought the truck back to fit it, they took care of it quickly and didn't even bill me for the repairs. I'm completely satisfied with Hoppers! I would recommend them to anyone and will be going back to get my next vehicle.
Only place I get my vehicle's, thanks Kevin and James. Very nice and helpful
Always great service! We have many GM products through work and we always bring them in for the warranty oil changes. They are usually pretty good at getting the work done the same day (depending on how busy they are). The staff is friendly and make you feel like family. Well worth the visit!
GMC - I’m embarrassed for you Hopper’s. My 2014 Sierra with 89,000km went into your shop (Hopper’s in North Bay, Ontario) 75 days ago with a blown lifter spring, with no explanation how that could happen to a relatively newer truck. Only to have it happen again a second time during the road test. That did not fix the root cause and since then, they have replaced the ECM, an injector and most recently the oil pump and still hasn’t solved the underlying problem. This science experiment continues to this day while being denied assistance and a loaner vehicle. GM does not value its costumers and continues to fail miserably at fixing and returning my truck in working order. I’ve never even heard of anything this disgraceful, let alone experience it first hand. This has been a nightmare and I will do my best to ensure everyone is aware of what it means to be a GMC customer.
