Just wanted to share my experience with Gold Fleet Subaru. Simply put, it was AMAZING! I bought Subaru Outback from them just 2 days ago and I will certainly recommend this Dealership to everyone! It is my second car in life and first was a private sale so this was the first time I dealt with Dealership. I had the car for 3 days to test it on any route I wanted, to get the real feel of it... And it worked for me! I made a purchase decision based on facts not emotions only. Unbelievably easy transition! I was offered help with selling my old car so I had to bring it in one day before my new car was ready. They made sure I have a car to drive in a meantime. It by itself was awesome experience - new Impreza with eyesight tech...It was a snowstorm that day and having such a great car with winter tires made a difference for me. Next day I came to pick up my car and I found it with my plates on, full tank of gas, registration done and keys waiting for me. They walked me through the paperwork, patiently answering all my questions (and I had a lot, it's just the way I am). Somebody here in reviews mentioned no customer service after they sold you a car. It is NOT true! Next day I was trying to use remote starter and later realized the engine light was on. I know it is not a good sign so I texted Dealership asking for advise. They immediately offered to bring my car back so it can be checked! No waiting time! Luckily it was an easy fix but nobody made me feel bad for wasting their time. Always friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Team is ready to help and explain... I am very happy with my choice of a Dealership. My big thank you and best wishes to the Owner of the Gold Fleet Subaru and the Team!!! Continues satisfaction from any visits to this Dealership... Buying and installation of winter tires in November 2018 - smooth process (just do YOUR part and book it in advance), concerns regarding vibration of the car February 2019... came in an was offered a reason and solution immediately... Frankly speaking, I had a very disappointing experience working with this Subaru dealership. I was sold a vehicle with the express understanding that the car I was purchasing came with the Starlink feature, which is something I saw a lot of value in, and was one of the main factors when deciding to buy this vehicle from Subaru. I was lead to believe this car had a much higher value to me because of that feature, which drove me to my buying decision. During the sale, the sales representative and staff were very attentive. However, once the sale was completed and I drove off the lot, the after sale service was very delayed, and at some points, non-existent. When I was having difficulties setting up Starlink in my car, I felt brushed aside for 3+ weeks until I finally reached out to the manager and he was able to put me in contact with a different representative. At this point, 3 weeks after the purchase of this vehicle, I was told that the main feature I bought this car for, was not actually in the car. The dealership provided a minor upgrade which covered one of the missing features, but didn't address everything else that was missing. I now feel that I was scammed, because of a lack of knowledge from this dealerships supposed "expert" sales staff. I feel ignored and dismissed after committing my money to this dealership. And I feel insulted that, as a paying customer, this dealership haven't tried going above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction with them.

I had Gold Fleet inspect a used Subaru for sale by another dealer. The inpsection was booked promptly and I received excellent information about the used car. They not only emailed me a report, they phoned to go through it and offered options for purchasing or financing an extended warranty. Overall, I felt cared for as a client and all of this was done remotely, in cooperation with the seller. I didn't buy the car, but feel the inspection provided the insight I was looking for and it was a wise investment. I also received a good variety of options for accessories and improvements on the prospective vehicle. All around excellent experience from all service and finance staff.

Great vehicles; great staff! This was my first experience purchasing a vehicle from a dealership (a 2020 Forester.) Until now I had always purchased used vehicles in private sales, so I had no idea what to expect. All of the staff were great, right from the start. Aaron really really went out of his way to help, setting me up with the vehicle & options I wanted initially, and introducing me to all the staff, from Belinda, who was also amazingly friendly & helpful, to the service crew, who gave me a tutorial on how to access servicing, and what to expect. I had very good experiences up until a few months ago, I had to get brakes redone at a shop that's attached to the algonquin petro, brought my 2012 legacy in for an oil change but had concerns about noises and they checked it over, when I came back I'm told the brakes are upside down and incorrectly done.. huh? After finishing telling me all the "problems" it came to over $1000 without labour costs and I was absolutely crushed and upset. So I went back to the place I got my brakes done and told them what I was told by the dealership, I was showed by the two men themselves the brakes are still BRAND NEW and done correctly they also checked over all the so called repairs I needed and when they did it only came to around 650 without labour?? My mom went to the shop, tried calling etc for me for an explanation and have not recieved anything from them not to mention they don't get anything out of this, they don't do any of these sorts of things they were saying was wrong in their dealership. I am very disappointed with this ridiculous and bizarre situation and even more so the lack of explanation, my mother was not even acknowledged or let in the building when she tried to get one from them, this needs to be addressed and whoever responsible reprimanded.

It's been almost a year since I bought my first car from a dealership, I choose this one. I was a little nervous going thru a dealer but Sheen was awesome, sat down with me and explained everything, found a suitable car in my range, and the team made the whole process a breeze. I was planning on writing a review sooner but forgot. He followed up with me making sure I was happy with the purchase. The impreza has proved to be a great car for where I live and what I do. I feel very safe in it, no regrets buying it. I recc. people to this dealership every chance I get. I had visited a few other places in north bay and their service was below par. I will definitely be a return costumer when I decide to upgrade into something newer. Their customer service was great. I should also note they were not pushy at all, I had a very laid back test drive, they encouraged me to drive the car alone to get an honest feel about it. That was a huge point for me as other dealers where extremely pushy, offering be sub par interest rates. Subaru worked with me to get the best rate and I am very happy with it.

I always know my vehicle is in good hands. The staff is always friendly, welcoming and always ready to answer any questions you may have. The service team thoroughly checked the car and completed the required maintenance. They are always honest and truthful about your vehicles health and don’t try to get you to spend extra money on services you don’t really need. The best service I have ever received! We also asked our car to be cleaned. We have a large, white haired golden retriever and she sheds a lot of hair. The service and cleaning took about 3.5 hours and our car was spotless! It looked brand new! I am very pleased with the service and will always recommend Subaru to anyone!

If I could give them a 0 star I would. This company scammed me claiming they are a approved Rust Check Dealer when they are not!! They have been claiming to be spraying Rust Check product when they do not have any on site!! They over charged me and didn't even give me a complete application, not to mention they are using a random product!! I would be ashamed to be stealing and lying to customers!!! I'm leaving this review on behalf of a family member. I've called Rust Check head office and they have no record of ever selling to this company other than two weeks ago. For the past 7 years they have NOT been spraying Rust Check.

We left our Outback for “45minute” 10,000 km check and necessary update. No word for just under 2 hours when we were told they could not do the update as they could not connect to the internet adequately! We had sat patiently in the car dealership and would have appreciated communication from the dealership staff. Also the exact reason for inability to connect our car to the internet was never explained.

Belinda and Todd were awesome to deal with. They expedited the whole process once everything was sorted out, 10/10 I would deal with them again. The reason for 3 stars is due to Josh, the salesman I started the process with. Long story short, once he got the deposit on the vehicle, he couldn't care less. There was no follow through on anything, my E-mails went unanswered, promises made during the phone calls that never happened and just zero follow up. It was a week and a half after I put the deposit down on a new vehicle that the ball started rolling again thanks to Todd and Belinda. I would happily deal with Gold Fleet again, but never with Josh.

Had never looked at Subaru before but my Dad encouraged me to go. We met with Scott at Gold Fleet who was amazing. He sat down with us and talked about the company philosophy - they see themselves as consultants, not sellers, so they really work with people to see what they need, what is best for them, and to give information and allow people to make their own decisions (aka no pressure). You could see the staff's enthusiasm from the very beginning. Furthermore, there's no brand snobbishness, etc, like you might see at some dealerships. They don't talk down other brands, in fact the employees own a mix of vehicles themselves. They care more about you finding a vehicle that suits your needs than pushing a brand on you, which is refreshing. Few things turn me off more at a car dealership than them talking down a vehicle/brand I've driven and enjoyed. One thing in particular that was important to me was the conscientiousness and equal attention paid by the consultant, Scott. At our first encounter, I (a woman in her 40s) went there with my father (man in his 70s). Even though we're in the 21st century, many sellers still direct their selling to men more than women when faced with both. I never once felt like that was the case with Scott and all other employees at the dealership. My dad ended up getting a nice new Outback, but I'm still looking for a creampuff deal to replace my aging pickup. Even though I didn't leave with a vehicle of my own, I'll keep looking and checking their inventory. But the point is, if you're looking for a new vehicle, this is a great place to go. You'll be treated well and fairly. In my view, there are lots of great cars and brands out there - what it comes down to, in the end, are the people selling it to you and the experience they give, and this crew, from the consultants to the ladies at the back desk, are some of the best.

Recently, I experienced rather unpleasant occurance; My Huynday Tuscon suddenly and abruptly stopped on the HWy. Engine seized. Since then Gold Fleet Subaru , 600 McKeown in North Bay, took care of me, my driving needs, the choice of the new car as well as took off my hands any deals with Huyndai. I could not believe that I actually did not have to "wave a finger" and all my needs especially in challenging times of the move to another Province were absolutely with smile on staff faces met. I wish to mention the kindness of every parson who was involved in such an amazing deal that solved my driving to another Province dillema. I wish to start from Mr. Randy Lafrenier Mr. Cliff Pilon, Mr. Craig Popp, Mrs. Belinda Brown and the last but not least Mr. Joshua, a fantastic man. They All showed the biggest hearts, compassion to my situation, openmindness to the new deal , respect, sensitive treatment and above all, they assured my comfort, and " Princess-alike" treatment. I am not certain how to show my gratitude and amazing feeling when driving away in a "new beauty" but only saying...THE GOLD FLEET SUBARU saved my stress, provided care for me and assured the best deal with a perfect choice for me. The sale process was good and happy with it but my biggest concern with the vehicle I was buying was one of the wheels and requested it being replaced you think when you buy a 50k vehicle they would sell it to you with better tires then 2mm of tread on it. Im not going to associate with a dealer that is okay with just the bare minimum in there work.

I found a vehicle via the AutoTrader. I worked with Cody who answered each and every one of my questions. It seemed like he doesn't sleep! He was always cheerful. No BS. In fact, you would think you are not dealing with a sales person. No pressure, just straight answers. We did the majority of the transaction over email. I wanted to do it this way to ensure I got all my questions answered and no surprises when it came time to seal-the-deal. I took a bus up from Ottawa (5h+) to North Bay. Cody picked me up at the station. We drove over to the dealership, took a test drive and that was it: I signed and left. No surprises. No hidden anything. Like it should be! The *only* thing I found out is that they ended up eating a $600 fee from Quebec. I offered to pay half but they said no. As I drove home, I mulled it over and I'm going to call on Monday and pay half. Good people should not be taken advantage of and I don't want to do that to these people.

On 29 March I posted a “2 Star” review which opened “I am disappointed.” It prompted a suspicious* flurry of “5 Star” reviews and a call from their Service Manager. I have amended this to a hopeful "4 Stars" One can post only one review per business and with a word limit I cannot include my original posting. A summary of that earlier review is that I had walked into the dealership and bought a new Crosstrek on the spot. A month-long comedy of errors ensued. On their own, unfortunate, but together indicative there was something wrong with the business administration of the dealership. My review cited objective facts which caused me to lose faith in the efficiency and effectiveness of this dealership’s Service After Sale. Regular dealer maintenance is a vital component of the vehicle’s reliability and service life. Today (Saturday 31 March) the Sales Manager and I had a frank and fruitful discussion. (BTW: I have a background in analysis as well as business administration.) We discussed the facts and how to improve upon them (win/win for dealership and customers). I like Subaru engineering, so I am not being altruistic here. I have a personal self-interest to see this dealership thrive with a worry-free Customer Service system. (I also delight seeing “northern” businesses succeed) I realize that my current rating of 4 Stars is now based upon “words” as opposed to verifiable objective fact, but it does reflect how credible I think the Manager’s stated intentions are to improve the business. The analytical principle of “continuous review” will see me amend/re-edit this posting as more information, facts arise. Good chat, Hernan. Go get them! ---- *Another incredible coincidence, my (Thursday) review was followed by 14% of the dealership’s entire four-year history of Google reviews. All were “first time” reviewers who posted at 6PM (within an hour after my posting), 9PM, (immediately after the Manager contacted me where we set Saturday as my first opportunity to discuss [I was actually abed for a very early next morning]), 11PM and somewhere between 1 and 2AM. Unfortunately, those “reviews” were heavy on subjective “feelings” and light on objective facts upon which to base them, so not particularly helpful in content but indicative of purpose.

I'm writing this review a month after purchase so it is not swayed by that "just bought a new car" excitement. We were long time Honda owners and well, it's hard to beat driving across the country in a CRV. That was until we test drove the new Subaru Outback. What a step up in power, comfort and utility. On top of that, the customer service we received from Gold Fleet Subaru was outstanding. We hate sales tactics and the fake b.s. that goes along with it - my wife won't even go into a dealership and usually asks for things to be done online or on the phone or sends me in for the face to face stuff. Scott Presseault however, proved that buying a vehicle can be b.s. free. He gave us a line about being a consultant and not a salesman and I was skeptical that this was yet another sales tactic to put people at ease but he proved is words in every communication and interaction we had with him. He made us feel at ease, in control and informed. Only after he gave us exactly what we wanted did he pivot and offer us an even better option that we jumped on. He gave us a tour of the dealership and introduced us to the different departments we would be dealing with for service and maintenance and really made us feel like we were joining a team by owning a Subaru. He and his Business Manager, Belinda, were efficient, professional and made the whole experience just perfect. and the Outback.....wow - 1 month in and the wife and I still compete to see who gets to drive. I love the power the paddle shifters and the stereo; she loves the stability, comfort and utility - and the HUGE touch screen with all her Sirius channels. My ONLY frustration is that I could not figure out how to stop it from auto braking when reversing with a trailer attached - it's a setting somewhere I'm sure but it's not apparent and I haven't googled it yet. Overall the experience was so great I sent my daughter to Scott Presseault to help her buy her first car. Great brand, outstanding vehicle, perfect customer service. Thanks!

I am very disappointed with Gold Fleet's customer service. Since purchasing my vehicle it has been one issue after another. The sales manager does not seem to care at all about the errors that have occurred. I understand things go wrong but the manager needs to take responsibility and go beyond the basic response. Just today I went to get my winter tires put on- I made the appointment a week ago and everyday since then I have received a reminder from Gold Fleet that my appointment is today. After driving the 70 km to the dealership I was told my tires were not in- nobody contacted me to tell me the tires were not in. While the manager did say he would send the tires to where I lived he seemed to miss the bigger picture- he did not apologize or compensate me in any other way, just basically too bad sir! When I purchased the car the sales information documentation was wrong so that when I went to the license bureau (90km away) I was unable to get my plates. An effort was made to get the correct information to me but the driver sent to bring me the correct info get lost, had a speeding ticket and did not make it in time thus requiring me to take another day off work to get my license plates. Speaking with the manager was painful as he just basically told me what could he do.

2020 Outback, 18 month service. Got the appt time I wanted and waited while it was serviced. The service took less time than was anticipated... including an outside wash. Northbay Subaru had pricing as good as any in Montreal( often the best according to cargurus). They also managed to have my used car purchase ready in one days notice so I could leave for Vancouver that Friday. 4 weeks, 11,000 km later, I love my new Legacy. Safe to say, very impressed with the service here from their Used Inventory Manager Mike. I've drove by a number of times and saw in inventory a few used trucks but nothing quite like what I was searching for. I stopped in the beginning of February to put him to task on finding me a 3/4 ton pickup. I had a short wish list of what I wanted, brand, etc. He scoured his various sources to find a vehicle that fit what I was looking for and in short order, had me in my truck. Sufficed to say, just because it's a new car dealership, one that doesnt even have a truck in their lineup, Mike went above and beyond to find me what I was looking for at the right price.

When there in hopes of them working with me to find an SUV that I would like, didn't offer me to drive any of the models they had, showed me one vehicle. The Manager Sales Rep Hernan was so rude to me after I approached them about my battery dying in the vehicle, after I only had it for 10 days. He then told me 'I don't control this road' and showed me the door basically, the guys in Services were more than willing to help me though so for them I give a 5 star but Hernan I will never choose to deal with again. Terrible customer service with him, wanted nothing to do with me or the vehicle after it was sold to me. Would not recommend

Uneasy Feeling

I’ve been debating over the last few weeks as to whether I post a review or not, but feel it’s in my best interest. I purchased a vehicle before Christmas. The salesperson I was dealing with was amazing. The vehicle is phenomenal. My issue, is that I left feeling very uneasy after dealing with the Financial Services Manager. She was very pushy on warranty and other add ons, which was all fine. My issue is, however, she rushed me through the paperwork to get me out of her office, and when going through it at home, I noticed an initial in a spot that I did not initial. I’m not sure if this was intentional or not, however, is making me regret the purchase, as had I not been rushed, I may have noticed before signing. Again, great salespeople, and overall atmosphere. Just make sure you go through your paperwork with 100% attention, as there may be fine details altered, or missed.

Bad customer service. The younger male representative on service desk “scheduled” an appointment, got it written down on a card, go day of and they can’t find it on their system. Quoted me a price over the phone, go day of and get a different and higher estimate. Then the old guy in the service desk tries to lecture me on how to make an appointment online because apparently that type of scheduling is more “reliable.” So does that mean their “human” customer service reps aren’t?

Sales reps were always amazing to me. Id visit even when i didnt have work that needed to be done. The service ladies were very nice as well and quick! Downside however was my car got damaged. I baby my car, never winter drive it, and honestly am obsessed with it. Had it in for an oil change and belt tensioner, and brought it home and parked it for almost a year because i moved. When i got my car i did my usual inspection, and the rockers were bent up and cracked. Only noticed it by crawling under to look at my exhaust. When brought to their (Keith's) attention, it took nearly 2 month's to not even resolve. After admitting on the phone that accidents happen and he would look into it, he said he wasnt going to take any action, nor help me with the issue. I provided proof of the damages and dates, photos, subarus own inspection reports, and an analysis from a different subaru dealer who confirmed hoist damage, and not a thing was done. I dont reccomend to any of my friends or family's to go here and i dont intend on returning either. If you want a shop thats honest and willing to help or even work WITH you, go somewhere else.

we bought our 2013 impreza new. Started consuming oil at 40000km had the block change at 60000km. At 129000 consuming over a litre every 6000km again. Goldfleet changed the short block again and did the valve recall had to push to get the motor but it's all replaced now 138000km. It's not all the dealers fault but Subaru should definitely find out what's wrong with these motors.

My initial contact with this Subaru dealership totally amazed me. I found the staff knowledgeable, professional, and informative. Scott Presseault, my sales consultant, was very respectful and did not apply any high pressure sales tactics, and was happy to answer any and all questions we had. Although we left without purchasing anything, my thoughts were that this is what all car dealerships should be like. After researching Subaru and discussing them with my family, I decided that the Outback was the vehicle that would best suit all our needs. I drove to the dealership that day with my family, and after everyone had a chance to test the vehicle, we purchased a new Outback and arranged for a delivery date. I picked up my new Outback from Gold Fleet Subaru with my family. Scott Presseault went over the new vehicle with all of us, showing us all the functions and buttons, but also telling us that he would be happy to do so again whenever we may need a reminder – all in all, making sure we were happy and comfortable with our new vehicle. Belinda Brown, who took care of the financial side of our purchase, went over warranties and handled paperwork for us and tried to make the process as smooth as possible. And even though I threw a curveball at them with a last minute request, everybody was accommodating and pleasant. It was like I was a member of the family, not just a customer. I had been having trouble with my 2016 hybrid crosstrek not starting in the cold weather. when I called the dealership and spoke with the service desk they were very accommodating and told me to bring the car in to be checked. The bottom line after 2 such visits was I purchased a new battery and everything has been fine since. What I want to comment on was the pleasant efficiency of Giavanna and the other young lady at the service desk as well as the staff who did the work. They were above amazing so accommodating ,friendly and supportive as I was very frustrated with the car issues. ...plus they even washed my car!
