I only gave 1 star because ZERO isn't an option. About 4 months after my wife and I purchased a 19' Ford Explorer (certified pre-owned), she began to hear a grinding noise from one of the back wheels. We brought it in to Brock Ford Service, they agreed to drive it for the day but returned it stating they didn't hear any noise. About 2 months later she ended up with a flat tire, upon taking it in for service we were notified that the right rear brake pad was down to a few millimetres and needed to be changed, they also stated they believed something was stuck in the caliper and we'd be required to pay for a replacement as this wasn't covered under warranty.
Despite questioning how that could be possible as the calipers and pads on the 3 other tires were completely fine, they continued to insist this isn't covered under warranty and that we'd have to pay (keep in mind we've had the vehicle for 6 months). I decided to reach out to the dealership in Hamilton (Mohawk Ford) where we bought the vehicle from and they agreed to look at it.
Turns out the right rear caliper was COMPLETELY SEIZED (a known issue with the explorers) and it was 100% covered under warranty. The dealership in Hamilton could not wrap their heads around why Brock Ford would insist that this issue was not covered. SO MUCH SO that I spoke to 2 different managers who stated, this service is covered under warranty at any and EVERY dealership in all of North America. One of the managers actually called Brock Ford to question their reasoning, they were in complete awe when Brock Ford reiterated exactly what they had originally told me.
Thankfully Mohawk Ford was able to perform the service that day at NO COST to us, but this wasn't until we were required to drive from Niagara to Hamilton with a seized caliper due to Brock Fords complete negligence. I completed a survey for Ford Canada explaining all of this and was asked on more than one occasion if Brock Ford had reached out, which they have not to this day nearly a year later. Not even so much as an apology was given!
I now travel to another city for all of our service despite living 1 block away from Brock Ford because they absolutely cannot be trusted. If you plan on attending this establishment for service, I suggest flushing your money down the toilet instead as you'll receive a better return on your dollar.
