We live in NS and just happened to come across a car that we liked, currently on the lot @Mercedes-Benz in St.John’s. When we inquired about it, Marc answered our message immediately and professionally, even during the weekend when he was not working. As this was a long distance affair, he provided clear and detailed video’s and thorough and informative answers to all our questions, offered solutions when we raised a few concerns, and stayed patient with us for days as we tried to decide how to make this car work for us, buying it sight unseen and without a test drive. In the end we couldn’t agree on a price, which is unfortunate, but is definitely NOT the fault of this very dedicated, hardworking, and professional salesman, as it was totally out of his hands. If we were in St. John’s we’d totally buy a car from him, and you know what ? COVID or no, we’d totally shake Marc’s hand. He’s that good! EDIT: Well Marc did it again!! He reached out to us a week ago to see if we’d bought a car yet {{ we hadn’t }}, and confirmed that he hadn’t sold ours {{ yet }}, which gave us all a good giggle. What followed was some quite intense all day back and forth messages and emails, that concluded with a long distance hand-shake deal. We bought the car sight unseen, picked it up off the ferry, shiny and looking like new! My husband has been, since then and for the last week, driving on air and happily zoom-zooming around in his dream car! He couldn’t be happier. And WE couldn’t be happier with Marc’s perseverance, thoughtfulness, responses to all day negotiations, and just plain ole feel good and friendly service. As a retired Navy man, he offers a BZ Marc {{ the military say, “Bravo Zulu”}} and thanks @MBStJohns! And to the previous owner, if they’re reading this, please know she’s found a good home and she’s in good hands with us.

Very nice place that sells beautiful German luxury cars, the staff are also very friendly too. When you go there, ask for Tyler, he's very informal and knows what he's talking about. Fun fact: Mercedes-Benz is the first ever car manufacturer.

Made appointment 2 weeks before for I have to travel 7 hour to get car serviced. My 9 am appointment was 2pm for service. Calls say car need 2 other services but don't have time to do it. Maybe I expect to much :-(

They sell horrible high service need cars and provides horrible service. For a safety warranty recall they will not book an appointment. (probably Mercedes pay them a little for service while they charge customer $160/hour). I have to contact Mercedes Head office to force them to book and do a safety recall on our vehicle. They will also not tell you all issues that a technician has identified in your vehicle. If you go there for any service, I suggest you carefully read the technician handwritten notes about your vehicle. Never buy a Mercedes Vehicle to avoid all that trouble. They were good vehicles back in the 70s but now these are nothing more than money pit.

CALLING THEM FROM LAST 6-7 DAYS AND NOT PICKING UP MY CALL. VISIT THEM 2 WEEKS AGO AND FIND OUT NO ISSUE REGARDING 4MATIC AND AFTER A WEEK GET THE SAME 4MATIC PROBLEM. INSPITE OF SHOWING THE PICTURES THEY SAID EVERYTHING IS GOOD. NOW IT'S BEING 6 DAYS MY CAR IS STANDING IN PUBLIC PARKING AND YET NOT ASSIST PROPERLY. SUCH A WORST SERVICE I GET TILL NOW PLUS ROAD SIDE ASSISTANCE HANG UP MY CALL AND NOT COME BACK TO RESPOND. LOCAL MECHANICS DON'T KNOW HOW TO DEAL WITH IT. IT'S ONLY BE SEND TO MERCEDES DEALER. Terrible customer service! If you're thinking of buying a Mercedes ask about the "Wear and Tear Warranty". You think that you're getting a bumper to bumper warranty but you're NOT. Mercedes has a 4 year warranty and you think it covers everything but no- there is a wear and tear warranty that is only 24 months or up to 40,000km. Our Mercedes is 2017 with 23,000km and in Dec of 2018 Mercedes would not honor a light bulb change as they said that we had gone past the 24 months....Also it took 6 months to order in the light bulb!! We have called the customer service department in St John's and called and emailed the Head Office and have not even had a reply. LOUSY SERVICE!!!!

Al Andrews was our salesperson for the purchase of our first Mercedes. Al was very professional, polite, knowledgeable and very patient as he answered all of our questions and thoroughly explained all features the Mercedes products had to offer. Al was very considerate of our busy schedules and worked hard to accommodate our time. Al always seemed to be just a text or email away. The Finance manager, David, was also polite, considerate and answered all of our questions, especially regarding specifics of the warranty and other additional important information. We would not hesitate to refer other family members to visit Al for a vehicle purchase. The Mercedes-Benz dealership was a pleasure to deal with when making our vehicle purchase decision. John

The Best or Nothing, I guess I'm Nothing. My first experience with the Mercedes Benz dealership in St. John's was a mixed bag that ultimately left me disappointed. It started out well enough, I drove the 2.5 hours from my residence in rural Newfoundland to the dealership in St. John's and arrived at approximately 9:30 am on Monday, November 21st. Amanda was expecting me as per our previous phone conversations and had an excellent loaner car available (a C300 like mine). I had advised them when booking my scheduled service appointment that my car had a slight shimmy (vibration) from the front end. They promised to check the problem when they were doing my prepaid Service B. I called at 1:05 pm to get an update and left a message with the Service Dept. My wife and I suspected that we might not get the car back until late in the day and were prepared to spend the night in St. John's with friends. I got a call back at 2:40 pm with some bad news, the shimmy was caused by a bent rim and a tire with a bulging sidewall. They could replace the rim with stock they had on hand but the tire would have to be flown in from the mainland at an extra cost of $52 in order to have it ready by the next day (Nov. 22nd). I agreed to the plan and told them to keep me posted. I called the service dept at 12:22 pm the next day and got a return call at 12:42 with more bad news, the plane had mechanical difficulties and would be late. At 3:48 pm I called back and was told that the tire would not be in until tomorrow (Wednesday). We arranged to spend another night in St. John's. At 10:52 am the next day I called for an update, good news, the tire was in and would be installed shortly. I called at 12:15 pm and was told my car was being worked on and should be ready in about an hour or so. We decided to drive to the dealership and wait there. After sitting in the lounge for an hour I asked Mark about the progress and was told it would be another hour to an hour and a half yet. Apparently they had to fly in a replacement cabin air filter that was part of the Service B and that had yet to be done. We are starting to get annoyed at this point and we left to get lunch. We came back to the dealership at 2:45 pm and the car still wasn't ready. At 3:15 pm the service was completed and we were asked if we wanted the vehicle washed and cleaned. I was astonished that in the 3 days they had my car this wasn't done yet. I requested a quick wash and told them we had to get on the road for our long drive home. We finally got on the road at 3:30 pm. I understand that some of the delays were unavoidable and the Service dept has restrictions imposed on them by management. Obviously we were not a priority at this dealership. We got shuffled down the list in favor of other customers. I did not by my car at this dealership, I bought it in Winnipeg where I was living at the time. Maybe this factored in to my treatment, but one would think that a Mercedes customer would be treated the same at any of their dealerships. Terry Stead
