Had a great experience with these guys, had a big issue with my lock key being stripped out so i went to them for help. They had no problem loaning me their lock key to fit so I could install my winter tires before the drive to Alberta, was a huge help. Still had to burn the locking lugs off but not Hickman's fault, they did everything they could to help and I appreciate it.

I purchased a Jeep Compass in June of 2019. I have had nothing but issues with this vehicle from the beginning. My warranty will be up soon and I feel that it should be extended through no cost of my own as I am paying a $36,000 plus, loan for this vehicle and I can only hope that it will last as long as I am still paying it off.I am told it will cost an extra $3,000-$5,000 to extend the warranty. My money is just as valuable as yours. The Jeep name would portray "Quality", which has been a huge contradiction to the actual experience. Very disappointed.

The worst dearlership you could ever imagine. My fist time buying a Ram 1500 Longhorn or north america truck in 25ars and will be my last due to this dealership. The sad thing is I love the truck and how it drives. I also witness a conversation between Dave (service advisor) and a customer on the phone. Dave was charging the customer over $800.00 for a brake job when it was required to complete the warranty work. When the customer refused on the phone, Dave called back a few mins latter to say the Manger will cover it this time. He never called the manager or left his desk to speak to the manager. Very Sad.

Service dept is a little bit frustrating. Entirely due, I think, to capacity. The dealership has grown way past what the current setup can handle. Long waits for appointments, long waits to make appointments, hard to get anyone on the phone. Hopefully they will upgrade service soon and all will be well.

Horrible experience in the service department, cant be trusted! To keep this short - my vehicle sat in their lot to 3 weeks UNTOUCHED! After trying multiple times to get a hold of someone and being hung up on, I was shocked to learn that who I was speaking with was unaware as to why my vehicle was there in the first place! Finally I told it was unsafe to drive but the part wasn't in sooo was then told I could pick up my vehicle......instead of keeping a customer safe and offer a rental, I was told to pick up the vehicle.... There's is actually too much to this story to continue. I'm just so disappointed! Please don't bring your vehicle to Hickman Chrysler Dodge Jeep for service! You will be left with a huge hole in your pocket and feel like you've been fooled! Apparently a good experience here is hard to come by and could've just been your lucky day!!!

Put my truck in for problems with my heated seats and also a faulty rear back up sensor and these guys had my truck for over a month. My warranty was running out so they practically raped the remaining warranty and did over $12,000 in repairs on a perfectly good truck (don't worry its under warranty) When I received the truck back after 4 1/2 weeks the heated seats didn't work and the they only changed one of the 4 sensors (which was the wrong one) they made me book again in a 2 week period when the warranty was expired and tried to charge me for replacing all the rear sensors! I have had the truck back 3 months later for an unrelated matter and they paid no attention to me as my truck had no warranty! Brought my lifted dodge back in after a wheel alignment because the tires were wearing. After a test drive I was told that a rim was bent ...hence causing my tire wear. I bought a new rim (expensive) and replaced the tires with new ones and still had the noise. I decided to go to capital tire to do an alignment and I was told that the truck was set up incorrectly for a truck with a lift...hence causing my tire wear...hence costing me 2 X 37 inch tires at $500 each hence costing me the price of a new rim. I called Dave at Hickman's and asked him if lifted trucks get aligned differently and he was told that all alignments are the same, whether lifted or not...WRONG ANSWER! With a lifted truck the geometry of the front end is significantly different, which makes me wonder the level of professionalism their mechanics have???? I informed Dave of this and he got angry with me and denied that they caused any of my damage ! That was a $70,000 mistake Dave and Dodge...next purchase chev pick up

Terrible service. They took forever to finish work and overcharged on labour for simple jobs. Parts were expensive and quality of work was sub standard. When I finally came to pick up my car, they had to rush it back into the garage to replace faulty airbags and never put in the screws so all of my panels came loose. Thanks for turning my car into the Ricky Mobile. Avoid dealership at all costs.

Worse service turn over time is horrible for starters. Bought the TOP warranty on the truck which means absolutely nothing other then cost me 40 dollars extra every two weeks. I find myself looking for a parking spot to even bring my truck in on days of service clearly overbooking is a issue here. There has been not one singular time that I havnt had to fight to basically get my truck fixed even with there top warranty plan. And my favorite quote is when my truck is gone and I call at the end of the day to get a update they say "your the next one",which I respond in saying ok well I need a rental which is offered for the top warranty. Then reply no sorry your truck is not in the shop so therefore it is drivable. Which means if I do want my truck back I would have to bring it back the next day to get in the back of the line once again. I will be trading my truck in soon and going elsewhere.

Never in my life have I had such horrible costomer service from the service department. Bought in a 2018 jeep wrangler from this store. My family has been long time customers of Hickman in Carbonear for as long as ive been alive. Excellent service and people. Move to St. John's and chooses this location only to have 14 missed calls from us trying to get a hold for an update on our jeep and messages to return calles that were never returned. Droped our jeep off Dec. 9th because driver seat was folded into the steering wheel and it would not slide back into a proper position. We were told it needed a part and will take about a week. A week had passed and was told it needed another part that should take about a another week. It is now January 2nd they have called and told us it was ready. My problem isnt with the wait time or the fact that they probably should've known what was wrong the first time they had to order parts. But with the customer service, and because of that i will travel back to Carbonear before i go back to this location.

Extremely frustrated with Hickmans! We bought our 2016 Dodge Journey in 2017. It has been nothing but trouble since. Our latest issue has been my rig saying "vehicle not in park" when in park and not reading in neutral. My car has been in 3 times since August for this issue (along with other issues), it is now October and I have to bring it in yet again because another part is on back order! Extremely frustrated and annoyed with the lack of knowledge and run around with Hickmans.

I think the reason for the lack of service and delays in service was perhaps because of the looming lockout. After reading these fairly recent reviews and hearing about the lockout, I have no desire to do business with them again. Staff should never say the work will take two hours, and end up being longer, as that can turn customers away. No wonder new car sales fell and the sales staff are locked out for three months as I post this. I seriously think the company should just give in to union demands, as they are losing money because of the lockout, and they probably need to get a deal reached soon or they will go out of business in a matter of time.

This is the most useless garage I have ever been too, bought 4 new winter tires and rims last year then a week later one exploded for no reason and they would not replace it even tho I have the tire warranty then I put the tires back on this year and one is leaking around the balancing weights, I managed to get that fixed for free then not even 500 kilometres after the tire was fixed it exploded.... I show up today to get it fixed and I wait for the store to open I wait for 45 minutes (I got there early) cause there was nothing indicating them being closed, then I decide to call only to find out that they are closed for the holidays, which is fine and dandy but a piece of paper on the window to let people know that they are closed would be nice. Overall this has been the worst dealership experience me or anyone I know has ever experienced!!

On top of that, they won't even give me a rental despite the fact that I pay for the service plan which is supposed to cover rentals. Ridiculous! I would advise others to save their money. Furthermore, staff is rude on the telephone.

Bought the new front brake rotors and pads from Napa, email asked the dealer if they would install customer supplied parts (also wanted to have winter tires changed), answered yes, appointment booked. Brought the vehicle in (brand new purchased from the dealer years ago) first thing yesterday morning 7:45 am, job finished today 3:00 pm. Paid $621.83 (tax included, my parts, front brake replacement and change tires, receipt photo attached below) and left. Some questions: 1. 2 hours labor to get the brake replace job done which is OK, but $150 (before tax) labor per hour? 2. I swear to god I never mentioned anything about "Wheel Alignment" during the whole process; I was never asked by anybody about the alignment; I never approved the alignment job. Then how come "customer approved wheel alignment" is showing on my bill? 3. Can someone explain me what that $44.99 (before tax) "CUSTOMER PAY SHOP CHARGE FOR REPAIR ORDER" means? 1 extra star of the review for the few services I had here during the past years (most not as bad as this one tbh, and the shuttle drivers Mr. Patrick and another young man they are both very nice). I had this dodge vehicle for years now, and was seriously considering the new Durango recently to replace it. Man, don't worry about it.

These guys are horrible. I cannot express how poor the service is at this location. If you have purchased your truck in Alberta (Like I Did) prepare to be treated to 3 day oil changes and a tone like they are doing you a favour by letting you bring your vehicle in. Save yourself the pain and bring your vehcile to The Royal Garage. They are much faster, friendlier and appreciate your business. 1 Star is too high for this poor excuse of a dealership. Its a shame because the truck is nice and my service in Calgary at Varsity Dodge was the best I've ever had.

Came in at 8:00am for oil change and keyfob programming. Was told it would be ready in two hours. So I waited instead of being picked up. Asked again at 11 am for a explanation on how long its been/ going to be. Was told its the next one in, after the current vehicle gets its oil topped up. 130pm I asked again about status of vehicle and they said it would be done soon.... I could have been doing something better with my time if they could have just been honest with how long it was going to be.... Worst crowd to deal with.... Also my last dealings with them I had a wheel alignment and now my steering wheel is off from center. Told them during this visit and was told there would be an extra wait to have it looked at... as if I'm not already waiting. I said leave it. I just want to get out of here.... worst place to deal with ever. Currently 1:44 pm. Vehicle is still out in the lot not brought into the garage for a simple oil change and fob program.

My experience here was excellent. Our vacation in NewFoundland was extended due to a family medical emergency and we were finally about to leave for home when the brake light came on in our van. Visited this dealership and Bruce came out, had a look, and were good to go in minutes with no charge, not even for the brake fluid he had to add.

If you want to spend a small fortune on a real nice truck that is going to have to be brought in about 5 times or more within the first year for some big issues and you want to deal with the absolute worst customer service of your life this is the place to go. In the last month alone my truck has spent 5 days in the garage for 1 issue which still is not completed and to make it worse this time when it came back it came back with the problem not fixed and damage done to the truck. Don't waste your money or your time, go somewhere else!! I know I will be. A month ago we were in looking at purchasing a new 2019 Rebel but this is the last straw and its safe to say I will never purchase from here again. If you want to know half of the horror I have dealt with feel free to ask, I will be more than glad to save someone from dealing with what I have had to deal with.

I'm surprised Chrysler Canada hasn't intervened with the management/ownership of this dealer. Rude staff, incompetent manager, and horrible service each and every time is their personal guarantee. I could write an expose about their numerous shady practices. I know for certain that they did not test drive my vehicle for problems, as I had to bring my vehicle there three times to fix a problem which they never did fix, but certainly charged me for. In each case, they told me they test drove it and didn't notice anything, and in each case, I could hear grating underneath the car before even leaving Peet Street. I brought it to another garage and they fixed it in one visit--grating suddenly gone. Imagine that!!. (Btw, I've had 20 parts fail on a Jeep in three years that's up to only 60,000 kms -- but they deny that there's any problem). Other Jeep dealerships are pretty decent--this one is a farce.

Had our first experience with the service department today , absolutely terrible. The lady behind the desk (Kim or laurie which ever one wears glasses) was very rude. We had a prearranged appointment and instead of looking into it they treated my wife very poorly. Completley different experience from the sales team. Their service was incredible as this is our second Vehicle purchase.

I brought my truck in for a little leak in the coolant pipe in the rear of the engine.the next day I got a call saying they had to change the coolant fan.asked if they fixed the leak.couldnt find it.have to flush the radiator .I called the next day and they said we have to strip the motor.its been seventeen days and I can't even get an answer from the messages I leave. I find the service staff and parts staff very helpful. They take time to answer any questions I have. Very pleased with that. Sometimes I have an early appointment and the truck is not ready when I had hoped for but sometimes mechanics run into issues that seem to pop up. It happens. Only thing I find a pain, is trying to get through to service when the truck is in, but I have found this issue with the other brand truck I had from another dealer. Over all, I'd give the staff a 5 * rating. Bodyworks on the other hand does good work but I'm not fond on the attitude there. Well, I just stopped into Hickman Dodge to check on the status of our warranty claim for corrosion. We have paint issues on both trucks. One is a 2017 the other is a 2019. 3 weeks ago we were told to go to Body Works, they would take pictures and send them back to Hickmans who then in turn would send them off to Chrysler. It turns out after 3 weeks of sitting on their desk, they have not sent off the info to see if it will be covered under warranty. In fact the lady on the desk told me she has other customers to look after not just these issues. The kicker, she don't know when she will even be able to send off the info to Chrysler. That's pretty poor service. That is the first true dealings I've had with Hickman Dodge. My son has had been pleased with mechanical issues to date. Over 3 weeks just to send off the info to find out if it will be covered is terrible. IMO service is more important than product After my visit on Tuesday June 4, 19 and my post here, Hickman's Service Dept called my son on Wednesday June 5, 19. They informed him that both of our trucks would be covered and would be fixed on June 25, 19. We are both pleased. Thank You
