The dealership made a mistake on the paperwork which omitted the balance on the vehicle I was trading-in. I got a call several weeks after picking up the new vehicle asking me to come and sign new paperwork. At the dealership the blame was shifted to me for trying to pull a fast one. The only solution offered was to add an additional year to the finance agreement which involved an increase in the warranty cost. Things went back and forth and eventually the vehicle was returned, the contract reversed and the vehicle I traded-in was returned. I would have considered keeping the vehicle and attempting to repair my relationship with the dealership. However, the Sales Manager and General Manager accepted no responsibility whatsoever and shifted the blame entirely to me. I was also accused of attempting to take advantage of the situation to gain financially. My only suggestions were to split the difference or for the dealership to take the hit since the onus was on their Salesperson and Business Manager to ensure the paperwork was correct. They offered nothing on their end and in fact when I picked up the vehicle I had traded-in, I barely had enough gas to make it to the closest station. I ended up purchasing a vehicle from VW St. John's and they could not have been more accommodating. I would not recommend BMW St. John's or any other dealership operated by the Capital Group given how they treated me as a result of their mistake.

Very disorganized, too many miscommunications to list and too many unkept promises. This was our first BMW experience and It was very all over the place and not at all what we were expecting. This dealership made us truly feel like we were living the stereotypical car salesman experience which is too bad since this was on my bucket list.

I have nothing but great things to say about the team at BMW St. John's. Absolutely fantastic!! Buying a new car is not something that I personally enjoy doing, I'm not a 'car person' and our recent visit to see them was more of a grudge purchase than anything, as one of our current cars (not a BMW or Mini) had decided it was time, long before its time IMO. Our Sales Consultant Adam Warren was super attentive, patient, honest and worked hard with his team to make the process as smooth and painless as possible, getting us into our new Mini Countryman within 2 days. After we picked up the car, I kinda wished that I needed to buy another... they made it that smooth. Big thanks to the team at BMW Mini St. John's, we really appreciate you going the extra mile for us.

It's funny that the owner responds to every single review here but in fact all this dealership cares about is squeezing the most profit out of customers in every possible way. You are not suppose to negotiate price on their vehicles because they are a "luxurious brand", do yourself a favor and leave because you are taking up their precious time while there are plenty of wealthy customers out there who won't even care to negotiate price! If you are fine with their condescension, be prepared for the varieties of warranties that they are gonna try to sell to you and the expensive repair bills that you might end up paying in the future. If you have unlimited amount of dollars to throw at them, then go ahead and be their customer. Otherwise, stay away from this dealership. There is no point complaining to anyone at this dealership because the management level is permissive of these types of behaviors.

This place has the worst parts department for trying to get in touch with over the phone, it’s just ridiculous. I’ve been to lots of BMW dealerships and called them on the phone throughout Canada and this is the worst in this regard. 9 times out of 10 you can’t reach anyone and have to call back numerous times, very inconvenient for customers. Figure it out people.

I wish I could give them 0 star rating! BMW should have their dealership licence removed. I assumed a lease of a BMW 3 from a client in March 2014. The lease manager Braden charged me $1,000 for the paperwork of transferring the lease and extended warranty. One year later, my car needed repair and I found out the warranty was not transferred when I tried to make a claim. Because the 30-day deadline for transferring warranty was missed, my extended warranty was consequently voided (another $1,000 value), and no chance to reinstate it. I contacted my new BMW dealership, BMW Canada and LGM (the company provided the extended warranty), they all told me that it was the dealer's responsibility to transfer the warranty. So I called up Braden to find out why the hell the warranty was not transferred. Of course, he claimed that the customers should do it themselves, after paying him $1,000 for sending out a few pieces of paper. The worst part was, he was laughing at my situation. He explicitly told me that because I didn't buy a brand new car from them, therefore I was not a customer, and no service will be provided. After dealing with this dealership and Braden, I find him incompetent, arrogant, negligent, greasy and possibly a racist. I talked to a few of their customers and apparently Braden never left any good impression to anyone. One of his college roommates said he has been a prick since day 1. Car dealerships are supposed to be rooted in the local community and do the best to serve the customers. I don't know why Braden enjoys screwing customers at work, maybe he doesn't laid at home. Do yourself a favor, buy an Audi, or Mercedes, or Land Rover. Or get a BMW from Toronto or Montreal and drive back when on vacation. BTW, I did contacted their customer service and no solution offered. They didn't even try. Their response to my review is simply to pretend their care. I don't know what kind deals they have been throwing in to bump up their ratings with other buyers.

I highly recommend anyone purchase locally from BMW St. John's. I am ALWAYS treated with respect, customer service is top shelf, always feel I am getting solid value for my money and never feel cheated or surprised. Any disputes have been handled professionally and to my satisfaction. So my advice is ignore the haters and experience the ultimate driving experience!

Probably the worst service experience I’ve ever had. We bought a pre owned mini there less than a year ago. It’s been towed to the shop 3 times for a total of 5 warranty jobs, but that’s a whole other one star review. Our latest issue was an airbag being disabled due to moisture in a sensor and the part required is on back order. We dropped the car off and said we’d be flying back to town in two weeks, we’d need a car when we returned. We called Todd while on our vacation and he argued a few points that really surprised us. First, he said that our car being in for so much warrenty work was normal and that he’s seen brand new cars needing the same work done (not a great endorsement of the product), then he argued that we would need to take the car without the working airbag because other people had cars in for “real problems”, he even went as far as making an employee take it home for the night to tell me I was lying about the warning light beeping constantly (an issue that the garage had already confirmed). When I told him that I wasn’t comfortable taking my family on the highway without a working airbag, he said that in a lot of accidents, the passenger airbag doesn’t deploy anyways! I asked to speak with his manager, but Todd said that he was a customer service manager and I’d have to deal with him. Finally, he spoke to the manager of the garage, who told him that the car shouldn’t be driven as there was no way to know if the airbag worked. The problem then, after two weeks of arguing with Todd that I shouldn’t drive an unsafe car, he hadn’t put us on a list for a loaner and nothing was available (at this time we are in the airport with a baby and no vehicle to get home). 3 hours later, they finally have a vehicle ready for us to take. My car was supposed to be ready a week later, but I didn’t hear from anyone for over a month. Today they called, but only to tell me that I needed to bring the loaner in immediately because they might have a buyer. No update on when my car will be ready or on my request to trade it in and be rid of it. It’s not worth the headache, avoid this business. BMW Canada should have higher standards and I will be contacting them.

My experience with BMW St.john’s was exceptional. I was lucky enough to meet Mr. Stephen Tarrant right from the beginning to navigate and check BMW models and available deals. Throughout several discussions and phone calls, Stephen was so professional , friendly and supportive at the same time and didn’t save an effort to check and answer my inquiries and find best solutions which fits me. Buying a car can be a very emotional experience. I commend the management and staff for making my very emotional experience a great one and keeping the tears in check. My pathway to St John's BMW was not a straight line. I live in Toronto but have always believed that part of the experience of purchasing a vehicle should be a long drive right away....that way you will know if you are really in love. I purchased a a 2015 Certified Series CPO X3 28d. That was the vehicle I was shopping for nationwide and this is the dealer that won the competition. Price, service, condition and after sales supports is what has kept them winning. I highly recommend you make it to Newfoundland and if you in the market for a vehicle then consider buying from Adam. He is well supported by his boss Serge, the GSM Mark and the very capable General Manager Mark Wilkins. We flew in with our dog and made a journey of it! Absolutely terrible service! I have had the unfortunate experience of requiring service from this dealer only twice for a 2013 X1. Both times this dealer completely failed and caused me to seriously reconsider migrating away from this product versus ever having to ever enter this dealership again. Flat tire = almost 1 week to repair. Repeated signal 'lightbulb' blowing ......... to busy to take 2 minutes to replace while awaiting an appointment and customer required to purchase a $5.00 bulb and replace himself outside the dealership while the service manage and others 'watched'! Today's consumer is fortunate enough to have multiple choices of great, quality product and do not have to succumb to such poor service and attitude delivered by anyone. If considering purchasing a BMW, I suggest you don't walk from this dealer ........ you 'run'! If the rating could be sub-1 star it would be!

This is my 2nd time in this dealer for service, the 1st time they had my car in the garage for 7 days. This time around I had to wait 10 days to get my car in, I dropped it off at 9am, as requested, they called me at 3:10 pm and advised the car just came in, at 3:30 they called and advised the foreman was unable to figure out the problem and advised I need to bring the car back Monday or leave it for the weekend. My previous three new autos over the last thirty was not in for repairs 8 days, absolute incompetence and arrogance, BMW quality is not what it is made up to be. Buy anything but a BMW. While there, I spoke with two other BMW clients on site similar experiences. Stay clear, buy Ford or Chevy. I cant wait to get rig of this car.

BUYER BEWARE.... Strongly think twice about buying from these guys. Unless u have an endless supply of money and you dont care about sinking it into your new vehicle. In the same family now in a three year span, we have had terrible service. I had purchased a mini, had an accident in the car. "A mini approved" auto mechanical place fixed it which is the go to place for thier work to be done. They botched it up so bad, installed a sway bar incorrectly, never took car for a test drive before returning it to me. I could of been killed. They even tried to tell me after that it was my tires causing the problem because I had studs on her, and they weren't mini recommended. I got rid of the car but not all the documentation of what happened. Glad I didnt because now my family are having issues. They are trying to say the engine failure was caused by them driving it to long. #1 the suv computer system shut the vehilcle down. How can that be. They also claim after installing a new radiator that the engine was back firing. Please explain how an engine that is supposedly seized starts up after the fact and backfires?

The service here is terrible!! I was charged $50.00 in what they call shop supplies on top of what i was already overr quoted for my oil change and brake fluid. The manager who checked me in was rude unfriendly and pushy. My husband has had nothing but problems with this place!! expensive and not worth the bad service!! avoid if you can!!

I was at the BMW dealership looking to buy a demo model 2018- 528I X drive it was listed on their website and on Autotrader for $55,500, It was reduce about three weeks ago from $58,800.00, to its current price of $55,500.00 The sales manager made me an offer, he jacked up the list price from $55,500.00 to $57,500.00, he then offered a discount of $2,000.00, then added$150.00 and dealer options of $1,483.50 a total price of $57,133.50 before taxes and trade, resulting in costing me $1,878.53 The smoke and mirrors approach were so confusing the salesman dealing with me I felt his embarrassment. Last week a ground cable rusted off my 2013 BMW, the dealership charged me $75.00 for a 4in ground cable. It is obvious BMW has no respect for me as a client and see’s no value in repeat business, I left the dealership and BMW for the last time yesterday. I highly recommend you stay away from this dealership.

I had to help a friend get his car in for service at BMW MINI St.Johns recently. The service advisor staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. It was originally booked in for an appointment at a later date, but they were able to get the car seen to with no notice and have it back to me by end of day. Would really like to thank Melissa in the service department for all the help and such a friendly demeanor on such short notice !

- Charge a diagnosing fee to tell you what is wrong with your car - $100 - $200 - They take messages when busy and do not call back - Charged me over $1000 fee for document change, because I chose to pay out my car vs. re-finance. Never choose the bubble plan (this was my fault). - When I bought my car, it was on the 28th of the month. I told the Finance person I wanted my payment on the 1st or 15th of the month. He said that, to process this, I can call BMW Finance Canada "next week" and they will change it for me. He wanted the deal sealed and me out the door. When I called BMW Finance Canada, they told me due to the type of contract I had, the date could not be changed. What a pain in the a$$ for 4 years! I have had good experiences there, although what I listed, totally out-weight the good experiences. I definitely do not take my car there for servicing anymore and will not shop there.

Shame the most I can give is 5 stars as the service I got was worth more then that, I purchased my first BMW last year a new 328x drive car was fantastic, Mike our sales rep worked with us and out schedule to make it happen, we just purchased a second BMW last night a M235 and again the sales rep and finance department went above and beyond, stayed late so we could sign everything due to work schedules. We again delt with Mike and the finance department made the switch affordable. More then pleased with both cars and service I will be going back when the time comes.

I had to take my 2016 Mini Cooper clubman into the dealer because of the engine light had come on. The then called to notify me that there was a cracked valve cover that had to be replaced and that they had all the parts so the vehicle will be ready to go the very next day. I then get a call saying that they have the vehicle apart but there are parts that are on back order so I will have to take a loaner. So far thinking that is good of them. THEN I find out that my son who is the primary driver of the vehicle is not allowed to drive the loaner because he is not 21, I then take it on myself to call my insurance to see if he would be covered, which they assured me he was with our police, but this is not good enough for the dealer, they then call themselves and get confirmation, still not good enough, they want it in writing from the insurance. I then asked so what happens if my son can't drive the loaner , there answers are sorry it's our policy, nothing we. Can do. So buyers beware , I have the extended warranty with all the bells and whistles as I thought and I am still without a ride for my son to get back and forth to school until the car is repaired, to make matters worse I am home with a broken right foot so I can't even drive him......
