We offer you the information of real people like you who buy the products of OpenRoad Subaru Boundary (Car Concessionaire) in the area of New Westminster (Canada).

You must have seen that it has an average rating is good, and it is founded on a high number of scores, so we may be pretty sure that the evaluation is very credible. If there are many people who bothered to give their review when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to put feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Car Concessionaire is included in the category of Subaru dealer.
I want to say thank you to Hubert Belanger,Service Manager on Wolfe Subaru at Boundary location. He is really helpful and very knowledgeable. The service was super! This man helped us a lot in getting a great deal with our catalytic converter issue. He was very patient with all of my bf's questions regarding the car problem. We are extremely happy with the service that Hubert has done for us plus the job was done in a very timely manner. If you are looking for great service and staff, this dealership location is the best!
Chris J. was so helpful! finally i got my dream car today. So happy with Subaru!!!
Went to Wolfe Subaru on Boundary today and there was no service guy at the Service Department, so the Parts guy sent us to talk to the Service Manager Eugene Lee. Eugene didn't even greet us and doesn't seem to want our business at all. This is only the 2nd time going there (1st time was a recall) and this time I really want some services done. He gave us the cost (not even an actual printed quote - he says he doesn't do that). Then I asked if there is any discounts for being here only the 2nd time. His reply was "I can if I want to." and he left it at that..... He was rude to his customers. Why would you SAY that to a customer?!!! later....I asked him again on any discount after his written costs on MY piece of paper, and he said "no discount". I would NEVER go back again for ANY servicing done!
Service Advisor Pedro Pineda is a pleasure to deal with, very polite and understanding of clients needs... I recommend him to anyone going to service!
I went in and was immediately surprised by how great the service was, especially a gentleman by the name of Pedro. He was great and was a pleasure to talk to. I will definitely recommend ooenroad subaru to my friends!
It was super simple ordering parts from Kevin! His service was great and he was very helpful.
Bad experience in their boundary road dealership. Kenny Ying attended us and his behaviour was very bad and he's so rude.. He don't know how to deal with the customers and as a Canadian we r known for our polite behavior but that guy was disgusting,.. never ever go to boundary road Subaru dealership..
Buy your Subaru here!
Srinivas Varanasi was incredibly helpful in getting the exact car that I wanted. They didn't have one when I first went there but he was able to bring it in from another dealership for me and the process couldn't have been smoother. Highly recommend this dealership.
Was there once for my friend's car' maintenance service. Friendly customer service. However, since I left my phone number for car pick up, the would not stop calling me to book services with them. If you got a Subaru maybe it's nice to get reminders.
Yesterday, I paid a deposit for a white color Forester Sport. Bowen Xue and his manager gave me a quite good price and terms. Thanks for that. At evening (a Xmas Eve) , I sent email to Bowen to ask about the chance of upgrading door mirror. Inside the email, I asked him to reply after the holiday. Quite surprisingly, he gave me a ring immediately when he saw my email and help me to justify. Thanks for his dedication of his job and I am quite appreciated for that.
This was one of the best experience I ever had at a dealership. The process was smooth and fun. I highly recommend Jeanne. She was really informative and patient though the whole process and really help me get the best deal! Overall I am extremely satisfied with my experience at Wolfe Subaru and my new WRX.
If you want to buy parts here don't waste your time it will take half an hour for them to figure out what you need and then they will email you a quote so they can get the pricing. Couldn't even get any parts at the desk same day
The service department seems like quite the scam. Just look at how many fake google reviews they have! $500 for a B Service... ridiculous! The rep was also pushing their service schedule on me, even though I was already getting the B service, he's obviously just so used to pushing it on people. He said twice that I'm getting both the A services and B services, but most of them are the same services! Then when I picked up, the invoiced price was higher than what they quoted, and when I questioned it, he just changed it to the quoted price without an explanation. Obviously they're hoping to sneak in a few extra charges. And you get no written feedback on all the components they were apparently 'checking' with the B service, so who knows what they actually did with my vehicle. I feel quite ripped off.
I was in looking a new motor and met with Kevin who answered my questions about vehicle performance. After testing driving one and reviewing the performance I was able to make my mind up. Very happy with my purchase I'll be back in a few years to see you for my upgrade ????
I had a great experience servicing my car last week. It was very nice of Robin the service manager to lend me his personal car to use while my car was getting serviced. Great job service manager and his team.. Keep up the good work!
Got my car back today in perfect condition!! Special thanks to Jamie for making sure all my concerns were dealt with. Props again to SV for helping out during the car purchase! Highly recommend him!
the staff there went above and beyond for their service. It was professional dealing with the staff at this location
Robin Soon was helpful in resolving my Forester seat problem. Ricky provided excellent front counter assistance as well. Overall, a very positive experience. Thank you!
Great experience! Hugh Wong was an amazing help, highly recommended.
Chris Jamison is an absolute pleasure to work with. We were in contact over email for a month before coming into the dealership. We arrived with a relatively low budget and Chris worked with us to offer a fair trade in for our vehicle allowing us to purchase our dream car. I will be loyal to this location and would highly recommend working with Chris. I've never had such a seamless purchase before.
5 stars.
We couldn't be happier with our new Crosstrek!!! Chris (our salesman) was phenomenal. He was honest, friendly, and responsive. Chris gave us all the facts, ran the numbers, and let us decide on the trim at our own pace with no pressure at all. After test-driving 7 cars and coming across some really peculiar sales tactics, we really appreciated that he didn't play any games with us. When we came to pick up the car, he went through every single function and feature in detail. This is how a salesman should be. Natalie in finance was pleasant as well and again, gave us no pressure. Everything went smoothly. The car was fully detailed and the tank was filled up, as they should be. We were given 2 spare keys and drove away absolutely in love with our new ride! - Jessica + Bray
I visited this location in December 26th to test drive the Crosstrek 2022. Jax Sun, the sales representative, was kind, knowledgeable and not pushy; I left the place with positive impression. Three weeks later, after doing my homework, I decided to purchase the Crosstrek with Jax because I had enjoyed his customer service. However, my first ever purchase of a new car felt like a fight between Jax and I. Negotiations were not smooth as I wanted to get a better deal, specially when another Subaru dealership were not charging high documentation fees. Jax heard my concerns, went to the office manager and came back with a different attitude of “deal or go away”. His tone of voice and attitude completely changed, as I remember he said to my family “you don’t appreciate what I’ve done”. I left the store immediately. FYI: I got a better deal I the Subaru in Marine Drive, no banking fee and holiday savings applied. Terrible experience with this branch, hopefully they were having a bad day…
Best car buying experience ever. Amazing customer service! Very friendly team!
Great services from a lady named Jeannie. No pressure sales, as well as transparent with customers. I would highly recommend :)
Bowen - Bowen - Bowen. What a great experience we had at Open Road Subaru in the ever capable hands of our sales representative Bowen Xue. We needed a new vehicle within a very short period of time and Bowen was incredible at facilitating a very fair deal and continues to follow up to ensure our experience has been a pleasant one. Thank you Subaru Open Road team for getting my Family into a new, safe vehicle and making us feel comfortable and taken care of all along the way. We will be back for future purchases. Joshua
Very helpful staff in this location. Geoff took the time to make sure we drove out with the right vehicle. He was attentive and patient throughout and this made our purchase a wonderful experience.
A great dealership, and big supporters of the Subaru community.
AMAZING SERVICE AND TECHNICIANS Ricky in the service department is phenomenal. I normally service my Subaru at a different dealership but decided to try Openroad Subaru Boundary this time. I am so happy I did. I will never go to my previous dealership again. Thank you OpenRoad!! I appreciate you!
Have been doing lots of research looking for my new Subaru. Currently looking to replace my 10 year old Subi. Visited the dealership twice to test drive both the forester and the outback. The salesperson was not able to explain how they priced the vehicle ( he said it had another $900 worth of accessories) but he didn't know what they were. They wanted 39998 for the 2016 outhback with 10,000km on it. After I was passed off by the salesperson who "really liked me" to his finance/closing guy who would then present my offer to the manager and see what can be done. So negotiations start with me explaining that buying a new subaru with the current rebate would put me below what they are asking for the same car with 10,000kms. His response was to laugh and say "if you know someone selling it at that price then let us know and we will buy all of them" So I share with him my quote from another dealership and then he changes his strategy into getting me to make an offer. I offer and he laughs again. He was not selling me on the vehicle but just wanted an offer. price price price. Couldn't tell me anything about the car and he was inflating the price of the vehicle. It is stated right online from the subaru website what the MSRP price was and he was pushing it above. When I called him on it he just played dumb. At the end of the day I felt like they reinforce what a shady car salesman stands for. It was a pretty big waste of time and I would not go to that dealership for any of my needs.
Thank you Ricky Li for helping me. Very polite and professional.
Excellent customer service and repair of my vehicle. I've been bringing my car in for four years and will continue to do so. They always call to give you an update on your vehicle and they don't sell you on anything extra. Gary and Robin were super helpful!
Most useless parts department I've ever been to at a Subaru dealership. Don't waste your time.
It’s refreshing to see that the service department have new team members. They did a good job addressing my concerns.
Very helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend Wolfe Subaru to friends and family.
Excelent car, I drove the WRX STI Sport-tech. BUT.... the salesman took off ALL my will on buying it. He doesn't know absolutely ANYTHING about what he's selling. I asked about what's the effect of Traction Control (ASR) in that car and he didn't freaking know what traction control is... also, I asked other questions like "will I have a similar result from the AWD as I have on a 4WD?" and no answer. KNOW YOUR PRODUCT!! You're not selling hot-dogs!! Seriously, the guy "sells" car A MILLION TIMES worse than Subway's attendant sells sandwich. I'll never come back to this place again, gonna spend my 50k elsewhere.
Disappointed. I have been needing to replace my car, and came here on a weekend to test a Subaru. I was encouraged by some family friends and online reviews which testified to the customer service of the dealership. The dealership is relatively spacious, and the sales people have forward facing open offices. I was not approached or greeted in any way for 10-15 minutes of my arrival. I am generally okay with this, but perhaps I had experienced being greeted with such normalcy at other dealerships that I found this experience odd. A salesperson finally approached me, and I informed them that I wished to test drive the Forester. After locating the vehicle, the salesperson informed me of the route I was to take and handed me the key. I found it a little odd - weren't they supposed to accompany me for the drive? After all, I wanted to know more about the car I was driving. With some relenting, the salesperson agreed to join on the ride. They proceeded to say very, very little about the car. Had I not been talking, I believe the drive would have been mostly silent. It came to the point where I felt that I almost had to pressure them to tell me more information. It seemed that the salesperson just displayed a complete disinterest in trying to pitch the car to me. Luckily, the vehicle could have pretty much sold itself. Look, I understand that a young couple just trying cars will not seem like a big fish to land. I get that there's probably thousands of people weekly that try cars and walk away. But the dealership is out of the way, with no current promotions for freebies or gifts, so it should have been fairly obvious that I was interested in a car and ready to purchase. Instead, I felt treated like I was simply wasting their time. The kicker: the salesperson didn't tell me their name until I was about to leave. Sorry, I’d rather go to another dealership.
Have a Subaru from another dealer but was across the road getting a tire fixed at Kaletire when I realized I didn’t have my tire key. Went to Subaru and spoke with Gary at the service department and he was kind enough to take off my lock for me free of charge (typically would cost $50). Thanks for the help when I was in need- it’s greatly appreciated!
Kevin and company went beyond what was expected and whats better than that. We totally prefer the open road experience to former dealership owner at this location actually. No pushy sale or anything. Online business works!. Thanks. We'll see you next time. Leo & Negin
I'm surprised that they actually got all the 5 stars that they did. I bought my Subaru from here and that experience was good. The guy who sold me the car seemed relatively nice. However, the service department was a nightmare. Unhelpful, rude and condescending. Not only did they present me with an invoice that was over what the original quote was, the charge on the final invoice on certain service was different. It wasn't until I corrected the guy that he was like "oops." I wouldn't feel the need to post a negative review if this was my first dealing with this service department. On top of that, there is an issue with the original purchase that I had to chase them down to get an answer after several visits and phone calls. They only logged 2 of the times that I reached out. Then once I finally got in and asked them about it - the answer was 'there's nothing we can do - seems like it was something that you did.' I bought the car brand new and the rust was found 3 months after I purchased the car. I have never had this experience anywhere else. Perhaps many others had better luck, but this will be the last time I ever go back here.
I have never bought a new car before and the Wolfe Subaru team were very helpful and made the process easy.
Best cop shop
Excellent service from the moment we walked in onto the showeoom, to the service we receive with regular maintainence. I just wish they would give me a WRX-sti for a loaner car. ????
We had the great pleasure of dealing with Chris Jamieson when we were buying a new car for our daughter. Chris was very knowledgeable, patient and professional. We had to ship the car to Toronto and Chris was very helpful in assisting us not only with fair negotiations on the vehicle price but also with the shipping process. Thank you Chris for making the buying process so seamless and enjoyable! We will be back to purchase another Subaru for our son!
Came here with my parents for the first time and wasn't acknowledged or greeted by anyone despite there only being 1 or 2 other customers there. We walked around the lot AND the showroom, but had 0 acknowledgement from any of the staff during the 15-20 minutes we were there. I noticed two sales advisors look in our direction and whisper something to each other while we looked at cars in the showroom, but nothing became of that. Terrible first impression and definitely won't be coming back here.
very impressed and satisfied with my experience at this dealership. they have professional people. evrything good without promotion rates! subaru cananda and most dealership 3.9% to 96monthfor new car, but it was different..i never had got the financing rate ever in my life!! anyway im enjoying my new forester!! Thank you for the awesome experience and I will definitely be back in the future for my next Subaru again
I recently ordered a Forester and the Wolfe Subaru at Boundary team exceeded my expectation on my buying experience. Robert Chow is a very great sales person and he really assisted very well on my purchase and order of a brand new car. Natalie and Diana is very helpful and easy to work with. They also have an in house ICBC representative that really help me to get the best option for my insurance. Thanks Wolfe Subaru at Boundary team for the great purchase experience. It was my very first car purchase and it was really great.
Buying a car from OpenRoad was a stress-free experience. Customer service was great! Sissi is a very thoughtful and kind sales person, and did her best to ensure that our experience was a great one! When we realized that the rubber mats were forgotten, she offered to order a new set and shipped them to our home! Thanks so much!
Excellent advice from Subaru in Boundary.
We purchased a 2022 Outback Limited XT. The entire process went very smooth including knowledge of inventory, test drive, attentiveness, negotiations, purchase, warranty, insurance, and delivery. It's a bit of a lengthy process with many steps, and they seem to have everything in good order. Special thanks to Jason and Antoine for sales and delivery.
I had a great experience at Wolfe Subaru on Boundary. Shortly after booking a test drive through the website, Chris contacted me arranging day and time that was best for me. From there on, it was a seamless experience. He answered all my questions, sent updates and pictures regarding the vehicle I have chosen. I never felt pressured into anything. This is my 3rd Subaru (1st brand new) and I love it! I will definitely buy my next one here!
For the sales experience FIVE STARS. Highly responsive, easy to work with. No snobbiness whatsoever that I've felt from other Subaru dealerships. However the parts & service side has been very hit and miss - I would give TWO stars. When it misses, it misses pretty hard. Last 2 experiences were terrible because I had left the car overnight for early Saturday morning appointments. First time was an oil change and they FORGOT my car was there (even though I had a booked appointment and they had my keys from the dropbox). Second time - it was for a recall repair but I asked them to check out 2 other issues. When I picked up the car - the recall issue was repaired and they looked at only one of the issues I had mentioned. When I asked why they didn't look at the second issue, the representative basically said it was my fault because I didn't write anything on the envelope with the key in it. That's a very poor response since they knew to do everything else ie the recall repair and the other issue. When I said I had explicitly mentioned both issues to the person on the phone when booking the appointment - he simply said "I don't know how you talked to." It felt like talking to a brick wall at that point. I should also mention on another occasion, I had ordered an accessory for my car and they said they would call me in a week or two when it came in. They NEVER called me and I eventually purchased the accessory from another dealership instead.
0 out of 5. I could write a book on reasons why not to go to Wolfe Subaru. Once I bought my car, the customer service ended. They don't care about their customers. Managers never returned my calls. Service Department doesn't care. Tried to give me a higher financing rate after my lease was out. I'm guessing they will post some generic message in the comments sections on how they appreciate the feedback. Buyers beware. I don't regret buying my car but i regret going to Wolfe Subaru.
Sunil is knowledgeable and honest. If you're looking for a Subaru, Wolfe on Boundary is the place to go. Visited again recently for parts. Kevin did a great job.
My husband and I recently purchased our new 2017 Subaru Forester at Wolfe Subaru on Boundary a couple of weeks ago. The highly rated google reviews eventually led me to this location…. truth does not lie! Adam Niblock – Sales Manager, Chris Jamieson- Internet Sales Manager and Financial Services Managers Donna Klingspohn and Natalie Bremner, all took their time in answering our multiple inquires to help us through this transaction. They were all transparent, genuine and truthful with the information and options that were shared with us, to help us with our purchase. We really didn't feel pressured in any way. The customer service at this dealership is offered at such a high caliber, that I have to rate it as one of my most pleasant experiences to date. We are happy to be part of the Subaru family and most importantly happy with our purchase. Subaru’s are a very reliable brand, and I can now understand the strong brand loyalty. We will be recommending Adam and his team to anyone I know who is in the market for a new car.
Excellent Service and staff are very freindly
Christopher was awesome to deal with! Very accommodating, especially given the circumstances due to COVID-19. Knowledgeable on the vehicles and gave honest advice , and helped get me a great deal! Coming from Alberta I was very shocked at the insurance rates through ICBC and everyone here was super accommodating and helpful to help me get the best rate possible. Very happy with the purchase and look forward to dealing with Subaru Boundary in the future.
I had a very positive experience with OpenRoad Subaru Boundary location. Bowen is an excellent advisor, very honest and straightforward. I purchased my Crosstrek recently and I'm liking it very much. Highly Recommended A+++
I traded my Subaru wrx for 2020 Brz and Chris from Sales team made my experience smoothly. He was very detailed, professional and he answered all my questions. We only communicate through phone and emails due to the pandemic but he made it all easier. We only came down once to the dealership to sign the paperworks and everything was ready. THANK YOU CHRIS AND YOUR SALES TEAM.
Had my flat tire changed at OpenRoad Subaru because the dealer I originally bought my SUV from got hit with a couple of COVID cases. Ricky Li at the service counter took great care of me and my mom. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and is 1000x better than the service front staff at dealership I originally bought my car from. We appreciate the fact that he treated us with care and respect even if we did not originally buy our SUV from OpenRoad. Their service area is also top notch - very clean, neat and modern. We will definitely come back here if we need more work on our SUV. And we will also be back when it's time to trade in our current Subaru SUV for a newer model.
The service department here needs a lesson in what real customer service and follow up looks like. My husband and I were shocked at the lack of care considering Wolfe Subaru is such a significant dealership in Vancouver. Next time we will certainly take our business elsewhere. Disappointing.
My husband and I recently purchased a 2020 Subaru Forester and we are very pleased with our experience at Openroad Subaru boundary. Zach is your guy! He was an absolute delight, we strongly recommend him as he is in itself an amazing ressource unlike other car salemans at different dealers while we were shopping around, he is not pushy, is patient, always available and super helpful. Even a month after our purchase, he still takes time to snswer our questions. A very refreshing experience overall, amazing customer service skills, highly recommend!
Nice new dealership but don't recommend them for service. Invoiced me double the initial quote. $140 for an oil change...
Reza delivered with everything he promised. Will definitely recommend and purchase from in the future. Thanks Wolfe Subaru
best service of all the dealerships we visited!
Nice staff
My partner and I just bought an ascent from open road subaru on boundary. Our sales rep was Chris and I don't think I'd be able to praise him enough. He made the entire experience of buying a new vehicle enjoyable. He was very knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. Chris knew the vehicle we were going for and what our budget was and he made it work for us. We left the lot with the payments we needed and the vehicle we wanted! And to boot we were never pressured into making a sale. Also I should mention that we felt very comfortable in the dealership with regards to the virus. They made sure the vehicle was sanitized before we test drove and all employees had masks/gloves or a protective screen. If you are in the market for a new vehicle I highly recommend checking out this subaru dealership.
just got a part replaced under Subaru warranty, "no fuss no muss". great after-sales service, thanks Rick !!
My wife and I were pleased with the service. We leased our first 2019 Subaru Forester back when the dealership was still Wolfe Subaru. We were contacted by Geoff Rosales for an opportunity to get into a new 2021 Subaru Ascent. Geoff went above and beyond and got us a great deal on our new vehicle. The entire process was smooth and quick. Antoine was also great in explaining all the new features and functions of the car. Stephanie our Finance Manager, was very helpful in explaining all of the different options and additional coverage plans. Would definitely recommend this place to others looking to get into a new Subaru vehicle.
I met sales rep. Bowen, when I was looking for a new car in Open Road Subaru. Bowen listened my need patiently and explained the options to me clearly. I am so pleased for his professional service.
Staff was professional, but the management wouldn't let us test drive certain cars.
Got helped by Jonathan at services today and he made the process seamless, easy, and quick! Amazing customer service. Jonathan even gave me a complimentary battery for my key after casually bringing up that I had occasional issues with it in the past. All problems solved and dealt with, and in and out in a jiffy. Appreciate you guys. I’ll be back here for all my Subaru needs in a heartbeat.
Chris Jamieson is the man to look for! Patient and helpful! We felt that Chris has given his best effort and time to ensure everyone is happy and satisfied with the deal. He replies email/text promptly and follows up appropriately. My wife loves her new Subaru! Thanks again, Chris!
Recently bought a Subaru WRX here. I’m very satisfied with the service I received from Bowen. He was very professional and accommodating.
Just wanted to post about the excellent service we received from Gary this week when we brought in our Subaru Crosstrek for a brake light replacement. We were in out and within 10 minutes. Gary was extremely polite and we would highly recommend Gary and OpenRoad Subaru Boundary.
Generally speaking, some salespeople are too aggressive just to sell or just pretend to listen to customers' requests nowadays. This dealer is not that kind at all. Chris Jamieson, the Internet Sales Specialist, responded to the questions and the requests patiently. No nonsense and no sloppiness. If I have the next opportunity, he is the one to contact. Thanks, Chris! Of course, I strongly recommend this dealer.
I don't know how their sales team is, but I can never get through to their service department, having attempted to call over a dozen times. The one time I managed to make an appointment for my airbag recall, the mechanic refused to work on my vehicle because I worked in Covid testing. I got an appointment only after contacting the service manager, but needed to rebook it. I can't get through, so... Maybe they're amazing, it's possible I'll never find out.
Recently purchased a pre-owned 2018 Subaru WRX from OpenRoad Subaru Boundary. We went a couple times and worked with Zachary Baines-Mallel going over and test driving several different models, eventually deciding on the car we purchased. Zachary was incredibly pleasant and professional to work with and his intricate knowledge of every car and trim available allowed us to make a more confident decision. When it came to purchase we were able to work out a fair deal that fit within our budget along with some accessories that we wanted. Then Zachary offered to personally pick us up at home to do the final inspection and take ownership of the car. We're incredibly happy with the car and would recommend purchasing at OpenRoad Subaru, make sure to ask for Zachary!
I had a problem that occurred before the warranty ended. When I went back asking if they could take a look, 1000km over, despite having called them beforehand, and despite Subaru Canada already knowing the issue before the warranty ended, they still refused service. Not only that but absolutely unhelpful in every way. Really doesn’t feel like they know what they’re doing. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this dealership to anyone. Absolutely terrible don’t go.
Getting our first family car is very important, as we want to make sure that our young kids are safe and comfort is very crucial to my wife. We are very happy to find the car that suits our family’s needs. Bowen was such a big help, he was very kind in assisting us in making the eight decision. Nestor , who did the detailing was great as well! We couldnt be any happier! Richard, Lala and kids
Had an amazing experience with the Wolfe Subaru dealership on Boundary. The manager, Adam and Sales Specialist, Jay gave us a car buying experience to remember. The service, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to send of off in a car that works for us at the right price, made it a truly enjoyable experience. We'll definitely be returning here!
We bought a new vehicle from OpenRoad Subaru last week. The service was top notch unlike the previous owners. Bowen was fantastic. He provided us with the information we asked for and made the purchasing process quick and seamless. We were so happy with Bowen that we went back to him and purchased another car this week. Shout out to Diana in the finance department. She informed us about additional insurance policies available, but didn't pressure us to purchase. We really appreciated that. Also, Ricky in the parts and service department was super helpful and friendly. We will definitely be taking our cars here for service. All around great service! We would highly recommend this dealership to anyone. Ask for Bowen and he will take care of you.
Just got my new BRZ from Kenny, everything went smooth and great. very good experience for me!
First car ever and my experience couldn't be any better! Buying a first and new car can be stressful and requires a lot of research and test drives of different models. Having done an extensive amount of the same, I can confidently say that I couldn't be more sure and satisfied about my purchase with my 2021 Subaru Impreza!! My salesperson was Bowen and he assured to help me out through and through. Him along with the finance department were incredibly understanding of my first purchase and helped answer all of my questions. Definitely do your research before coming so that you're better prepared with questions. If you're in the market and are looking for a car, definitely come to this location specifically and check it out! ☺️
Went in to purchase a part from Parts Department. Friendly guy and quick service. Good visit.
Zachary and Jason were really helpful in my decision in going with Subaru and with OpenRoad! They followed up appropriately and were very easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and professional. Zach didn't hesitate at all in asking his manager when I had requests for price adjustments or accessories. Would reccomend!
I have purchased 2 Subaru’s from this Boundary Road location. My latest car was purchased from Tiffany, whom was phenomenal to deal with – she was not aggressive or full of b.s. The purchase process is seamless as the entire dealership is quite organized from point of sale to administration and insurance. From having my other Subaru, I especially appreciate the service department. They are organized about reminding you of appointments due and they are very efficient when it comes to servicing the vehicle. Additionally, the guys at the counter are great to deal with. I have never left confused or thinking that something unnecessary was performed. I highly recommend this location!
Chris and team were really good with the service. Really appreciate all the help and prompt responses that we received from Chris ,thank you . I definitely recommend openRoad Subaru @Boundary .
My wife and I were very pleased with our first-time visit at Wolfe Subaru on Boundary. The salesman, Robert Chan made us feel at home with his friendly yet professional manner. Suffice to say we concluded our visit with a purchase of an Outback (our first ever Subaru).
Very good experience in this Subaru store, many thanks to the great sales -Bowen who is friendly , professional and trustable. I 'll recommend to my friends . Cheers!
Had my 2020 Subaru serviced at the Boundary Rd location last month where I purchased the car. My service advisor was Pedro and he provided with me excellent service. He gave me the overview of the service being given and was very accurate as to when the vehicle was going to be ready for pickup. He was very polite and respectful in the way he handled the service. Highly recommend dealing with Pedro and the great team at Open Road Subaru on Boundary.
Nice place nice people.
Received a call out of the blue soliciting me to book a maintenance for my car that I brought in once to complete a brake line recall service. When I asked about what 'maintenance' would entail, the rep said it was for my Impreza. Not only do they have no idea how many miles are on my car, they are unable to articulate what they intend to do as part of this maintenance service they are offering or even a clear explanation as to why. Instead they patronise me like I don't know what kind of car I drive. Clearly they are in desperate financial straits; cold calling to book a 'maintenance' is really taking things to new and lower levels.
My partner and I were in the market for a new SUV and out of all the dealerships and salespeople we interacted with, Christopher Jamieson at Openroad Subaru was by the far the best. Chris was honest, open, and relaxed which made the process of buying a new car a lot less stressful. And after price-checking at other dealerships, the haggle-free pricing at Openroad truly was the best we saw by far. After interacting with other dealers, I said to my partner, "I feel like these guys are trying to give us the worst deal they can get away with. But I felt like Chris was trying to give us the best deal he could". If we are ever in the market for another subaru, Openroad subaru and Chris will be our first stop!
Best brand. The dealership is new and really well designed. Staff is amazing.
Amazing service every time I go. I did not buy my Subaru their but go there for all my servicing and the team there is great!!
Customer Service is not high on their list. No call back for parts, no help.
The Subaru dealership on Boundary Road is a successful combination of welcoming professionalism. Zachary Baines-Mallel was our product advisor. He was extremely knowledgeable and took extra steps to make sure that we could appreciate the difference between models, years and trims. Our time with him felt like an education on what Subaru has to offer without ever feeling like a sales pitch. We found this to be a respectful way to do business. In summary I would like to add that the dealership was mindful of the precautions required to keep everyone safe during a pandemic. The entire experience left us feeling confident and comfortable.
This used to be the Mercedes location and that's great not fat from Highway 1 and Lougheed Hwy. We came here to test drive the Outback. Even though we did not end up buying the vehicle I had a good experience. The display floor staff have a very relaxed attitude and yet stayed helpful and attentive.
Picked up my car here yesterday, super smooth process. Antoine and Bowen were both great to deal with
Was told they've fitted their showroom BRZ with tented windows, (not because anybody asked them to) and they expect me as a potential buyer to pay for it! Salesman "Robert".
Good service
You guys destroyed my family's vehicle and waste my time. The vehicle was in the shop for weeks with no follow up and no one returning my calls. I tried to talk with the manager in charge but he couldn’t be bothered to help me and refused to speak with me. your service is really poor, worst of the worst. This is the last time I will ever come back here.
Great place and awesome service! A big thanks to Chris and Jason!
We had a great experience when dealing with Chris J. He did not pressure us or go out of his way to up-sell us. He had total respect for what we wanted and we could not be happier with our new vehicle.
I am really satisfied with my new car and with the customer service. Thank you.
I just bought a used 2014 SUV last month. My first Subaru ever! The whole purchasing experience was great. I love the car. However, I did have a couple of minor issues after the purchase: The salesperson was supposed to get the bluetooth situation resolved (he told me the car had bluetooth, but actually I couldn't find one installed when I got home). However, he left the dealership a few days later. I went back to the dealership and get the situation resolved by the sales manager, Reza. After hearing our story, Reza resolved the situation very quickly and got the bluetooth installed for me (he ordered the parts and arranged the time for the installation). The service manager, Shaun, was very pleasant and helpful, he made the installation nice and smooth. In addition, Reza even called us a few times after that to follow up to make sure everything was alright. Reza was a very kind and professional associate. Thanks again, Reza! After the bluetooth installation, the battery died. I had to use the jumper cable to start up the car multiple times during the long weekend. I drove the car back to the dealership. The general operations manager, Marc Livingstone, happened to be there when I was reporting the problem to the service department (I did look at their team page before I came back), he took care of the issue right away. He gave me a loaner and told me to come back in 2 hours. When I came back, he told me the battery died for some reasons, but he replaced the battery at no charge. I was amazed by their great service. I was referred to the dealership by my own boss, who bought the Forester from them 6 years ago. I would definitely introduce friends and family to the dealership. I don't do reviews often, but this is a must do. Thanks again everyone at Wolfe Subaru on Boundary! Ben&Laura
RESPONSE -- for future reference, the number you gave me isn't Marc's. It was a general number for the dealership. Two different people eventually forwarded me to a different dealership where I got Marc's v-mail. I've left a v-mail for him. Thanks, Adam Frustrating and disappointing -- the best summary of my 13-months interacting with Wolfe Subaru. We bought a used car in Nov, 2017. Over the next year, we were back and fourth between the dealership far too many times for issues that should have been caught before the car was ever put on the lot. We recently gave up on the car and the dealership and took a significant financial loss to turn the page on this experience. My 1/5 ranking is the result of a few bright spots in customer service. My suggestion to anyone looking for a new car: avoid this dealership at all costs until changes are made. There are lots of excellent dealerships in the lower mainland that offer first class service -- currently, this isn't one.
Happy with the shopping experience at OpenRoad Subaru Boundary. Kenny Ying did what was needed to make the deal happen, including getting the most he could squeeze out his manager for our trade-in, coming up with creative solutions (added discount for loyalty program, reduced lease rate, etc.). And kudos for tracking down a new vehicle in this challenging climate (supply issues) Thanks for putting us in our Subaru Ascent, we love it!
Very happy with my experience with Chris when we bought our first car. He had a lot of useful personal experience with a few models we were interested in, and helped us find what we needed.
I would STRONGLY not recommend doing service here! They needed to replace one part (clear warranty case) so they took my car in and in 20 minutes they called me and said that I tried to fix it myself (which I didn't do) and that I will have to pay. I said that I did not even thought of fixing it cause I new it would fall under warranty. I was called a liar strait in my face! I stuck to my guns and they eventually replaced the part for free. In the end, right at the service I notices that when that guy was fixing it he left a huge stain on bright plastic. (photo included). I normally don't write reviews, but I thought it would be a good thing to let everyone know. Please note, that was just my experience and you might have a totally different guy talking to you and the time there will be great! I specifically don't say names, positions etc.
The Service and Parts department is UTTER GARBAGE. I've tried dealing with them just for their assistance and help. However every time, i tried to ask any questions and their suggestions, I've always been met with annoyance and unwillingness to help. Will never come back again.
We've always had really great service experiences getting our 2010 Forester serviced here. The staff is knowledgable, helpful and honest with their opinions about when/if service needs to be done. Definitely our favourite Subaru dealer in the city.
Recently bought a car from this dealership. Jason, the product advisor and Ian, the sales manager, made our car buying experience seamless and enjoyable. Jason was knowledgable, professional, and patient. Out of all the dealerships we have visited, the team at Open Road Subaru were most welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend this dealership! Thank you once again!
The service dept a Subaru on Boundary has always been good to me. Very professional. Glad to hear Bowen has joined their sales team. He's a honest and hard working sales person.
Bought my first Subaru here and will definitely be buying my second here too! Great post-purchase support, especially from the service team who have helped me out with a few minor but vexing cosmetic issues. Shout out to Hubert! Definitely recommend.
Since taking over from Wolfe Subaru, this dealership has been astounding. Great service, welcoming atmosphere, and fair negotiations. Geoff, my sales representative, did everything he could (and more!) to help accommodate my budget. Stephanie, my finance manager, was a pleasure to chat with and didn't try to upsell me on anything. She let me know what I needed and what I didn't! (See you on the hill. =p) Wendy, the insurance specialist, was great to work with and helped find the best coverage for me. And finally, how could I forget Antoine - the heart and soul of OpenRoad Subaru. You'll never guess how old this guy is!
Wolfe Subaru, and particularly my salesman Chris, provided the best experience you could hope for when buying a car. Low pressure, fast, friendly, and honest. I will definitely get my next car from them again, and will recommend them to my friends.
I bought my first Subaru here, a 2022 impreza, and I am very pleased with the customer service I've received. Jason Ma was a pleasure to work with. He took our requirements, suggested the car, and got us a great deal. We were able to get the car within a week even in this pandemic. The finance team was exceptional as well, there was no pressure to buy unnecessary addons. Entire experience was a breeze. Thanks a lot!!!
Buying a car is stressful. Did you get the best deal? Did you get a lemon? Did you shop around enough? I bought a Mazda3 here from Bowen and it was a really great experience. I saw that the dealership had good reviews so I went in, plus they had the car I wanted so there's that. Bowen was kind and answered all my questions. He wasn't pushy and the car was fully serviced with all documents for peace of mind (that's probably standard but I'm saying it anyway). I had squeaky brakes when starting the car so after a few weeks I texted Bowen. The internet said it was likely from dirt or rust but obviously I'm not going to take my wheels off on my own sooo....back to Bowen. He got me in for a brake servicing (brakes are fine) and they didn't charge me. I would definitely go back for my next car.
I can't recommend this dealership. Their warranty work is shoddy and the Service Manager is likely to stalk your Facebook and deny your warranty claims. Find another dealership.
All around great experience with all the staff at Wolfe Subaru. Adam and Tiffany took us through everything and continue to be helpful after the delivery of our vehicle. Look forward to working again with Wolfe Subaru.
Had the pleasure of dealing with Chris! As a first time buyer he made the experience very comfortable and informative. Thank you!
Front service desk were very nice. The car wash included with the service was not good, left lots of dirty patches on the car, the trunk space was not vaccumed. Service was fast, easy to get appointments.
Absolutely HORRIBLE SERVICE DEPARTMENT EVER! The "service manager" was one of the worst people i have ever met. Doesn't care about customers or service at all. Never ever coming back and I will make sure everyone knows that this is not the place to go to if you want anything done right. If you don't care about your car or about your life when driving then feel free to come here. Worst manager ever!
Wouldnt reccomend service here, our first service we ended up leaving there with oil on engine areas. Went back for 2 services and mentioned the oil issue also mention we were positive that our car needed a alingnment from the day we drove off the lot.The service guy fixed alignment (we were charged for it) also heading home on the highway noticed now that alignment was correct but the car seemed to be wandering -felt unstable.Got home, popped hood, that oil? still there, not even an attempt 2 clean it. The steering issue? well, it turns out our tires , all 4, had at least 10 psi below what supposed ....I decided 2 look up what is performed or supposed 2 be... Turns out tire pressure? yep that shoulda been checked every oil change they are supposed 2 check it. Also, we aren't mechanics and thought it was just us,till we went on a long trip, but had the road test they are also supposed 2 perform had been done on either service, the alignment issue would'a been detected... Leaving there with between 22 and a max of 25 psi on all 4 tires wasn't very safe either...upon inquiring as 2 why certain things regarding the service were not performed the gentleman we were talking to said-Well... its a new car, so rotating tires? is being picky... So heres the thing ,the company says if you don't do these things-No warranty!!! yet, its ok 4 the dealers 2 not? 2 skip? A road test is a must.We noticed 3 others there and same thing -oil changed car driven 15 feet 2 outside area and parked-That is not a road test.
I traded my 2012 WRX STI in on a used 2018 WRX STI. When I was last in for service I asked a service advisor to set me up with a sales advisor and was referred to Geoff Rosales. He familiarized me with the inventory of STIs and arranged for me to do a test drive then he appraised my STI and explained how a trade would work and what the cost would be. We made the deal the next day and it was very low pretty well seamless. I am happy to recommend OpenRoad Subaru and Geoff Rosales.
I have never posted a review before, but I felt like I had to say something about the worst experience I had at the service. What was suppose to be a simple oil change turned out to be more and the staff that was helping seemed overwhelmed and unexperienced to do anything. The management it seems dropped the ball when training them and don't really care about customer service at all. A few minutes of talking to them I realized they had no idea what to do I asked to speak with a manager, who couldn't care less and didn't even bother to come out and help. I will never be returning to this place for anything at all.
I never would never hesitate to recommend OpenRoad Subaru. I have never had a concern when dealing with them and look forward to my visits.
I have been waiting to write this review until the three month mark of us owning our new car had passed. We had been shopping for nearly a month and had been to the dealership on four occasions. We began our path to purchase with Sunil. It was a busy Saturday and he was accommodating, honest and very direct - something my BF and I appreciated very much. We returned a second time to test drive another model and again found him to be very willing to answer all our questions, even though we still were not ready to buy. The third time we went Sunil was on vacation and although we didn't want to switch salesmen we couldn't delay our decision until he returned and began dealing with SV. He was also fantastic. Patient, kind and really made us feel comfortable. We returned a fourth time to test drive (AGAIN!) to make sure we were comfortable with our decision. There were a few things we really appreciated from both Sunil and SV....their patience, they didn't pressure us into making a decision and gave us all the details necessary to make our decision. They didn't care how many times we needed to test drive the car to be sure we were making the right decision. We never felt rushed and in the end were able to speak with the finance manager (who was also fantastic!) and know we had made the right decision. A HUGE Thanks to both Sunil and SV for helping us in our first new car purchase. Robert (the manager) also made sure to introduce himself and make sure we were being treated well. We have our first service due in January 2019 and I have high hopes for the level of service we have received thus far - hopefully they don't let us down!
Very easy to deal with. No pressure from them. No hounding. You come in to purchase a vehicle and they will give you the best deals in town! Awesome dealership
2014 Subaru Crosstrek needed the 40k service. They charged me $450 for basally and oil change and filter. Then I was informed the battery failed the load test and quoted me $250 plus installation to replace it, and they charge $150/hour for labor. I went across the road to Polar Battery and bought a better battery for $133 and they installed it for $15. The only outstanding feature about Wolfe Subaru Service department is their prices.
We truly enjoyed working with Tiffany. Her honesty and quiet, yet helpful manner were very much appreciated.
Great services and great deal thanks to Jason. Will def recommend the dealer to friends and families.
Do not expect any after-sales services from OPENROAD SUBARU BOUNDARY! They want you to give them a 5-star review right after you bought your car - We're glad we didn't! Questions you sent after you drove your brand new car out of there will be ignored. We emailed some simple questions (December 8, 2021) to the Product Adviser (Bowen Xue) and the Financial Services Manager (Zheng Lu). We had to follow up and cc'd their General Manager to get a reply from Bowen. To date (January 10, 2022), we still have not heard back from the Financial Manager. Disappointed consumers!
We purchased our first Subaru Forrester from Zachary at this dealership. He and his associates provided us very informative answers that I was curious about. If you are set on purchasing a Subaru, I would highly recommend talking to Zachary. He will do his best to get you the model that you want, and depending on how much homework do they are flexible on price to the best abilities. Overall I am very happy, my wife is very happy. We will be back when our lease is up, and for future maintenance.
Chris Jamieson was the best sales person I have ever dealt with. I purchased a car that I needed to export to Seattle, and we were not clear on exactly how to do so. Chris went above and beyond, time after time, to ensure that we figured out the process. Most sales people would have given up and moved on to the next customer, but Chris put in the time to help me figure it out. He was quick to respond to texts/calls/emails, and always available. He also went out of his way to gather the car maintenance history from the partner dealer that it had been serviced at (used car). I would purchase another car from him without hesitation. Thanks again, Chris.
Top class 5 star service and customer care from Irish man Kevin in the services department. He handled everything with utmost professionalism and attention to detail. His friendly Irish character and depth in experience really stood out and I will definitely be returning for any needs in the future. , A very happy customer
Buying our second Subaru during Covid 19 wasn’t our original plan but in the end was a great experience. Chris our salesman was able to secure the car we wanted and helped us handle all the purchase arrangements over the phone and email. After a test drive and some signatures we were on the road home to Squamish.
Just got a fantastic new Outback Wilderness in black from Open Road Subaru. This is my 5th Subaru and my 1st Outback (had WRXs and STIs previously). Bowen Xue as my sales rep was flawless in getting back to me with the many questions that I had. He was a pleasure to work with, and he also assisted me in getting a new hitch put on the vehicle! I would highly recommend him as a sales contact should you be looking for a new subaru! Looking forward to all the adventures that my family and I will have in our new Outback!
Chris Jamieson is a first class salesperson at a first class dealership. I have purchased 4 vehicles from Chris and he is extremely professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. Every purchase has been seamless and his after sales support has been amazing. If you’re looking for a vehicle and don’t visit Chris you are doing yourself a disservice. Thank you Chris! 5 stars.
The best dealership for Subaru in Lower Mainland. I had interacted with Zach for my new car and he was very knowledgable, patient to hear all of our needs and helpful in resolving all our questions. Would definitely recommend talking to Zach to buy your next Subaru.
I was happy with the service from Immi. He was clear to explain the problems with my cars and what needs to be fixed. I would tell Immi I wasn't able to make it by a certain time he would be willing to wait an extra 5 10 minutes for me. I would definitely go back if there was any other issues with my car.
????????????????????
Bought my new car here from Bowen. Exceptional service from start to finish. Hate wasting time? Come here. I had a really bad experience from the Richmond Subaru & auto mall in general, so my faith in car dealerships was close to 0 before coming here. My coworker recommended this location and it was a pleasant experience. Mr. Lu, the financial manager was also very friendly and professional. Will recommend people to come to this location if they're looking for a Subaru.
We're very pleased with the overall experience of leasing a car at OpenRoad Subaru Boundary. Everything felt smooth every step of the way and Kenny (our Product Advisor) was very helpful, kind and professional. The whole process (from us visting the store for the first time until we drove off with our brand new car) took less than a week, so hats off to them for accomplishing that.
I will give them zero stars, there car price is higher compared to other Subaru dealers. Herman sales guy is one of the lier, beware of him. He commits on a price and later he will give some other price. I recommend to check other Subaru dealers , will not recommend openroad to anyone.
We were on the road from Kelowna to Victoria when a tire blew - fortunately Wolfe Subaru had our particular tire in stock (when none of the tire shops did) and Lee Winters in the Service Dept did a fantastic job of fitting us into a busy schedule. We were back on our way in no time!
The staff here always provide great service. We have bought 3 cars here, and I'm sure we'll be returning. Service great from start to finish and everything in between.
Purchased a used VW Golf from Kenny at the dealership. He did a really great job helping me with my trade in, getting the paperwork and car ready in a timely manner and making sure I was getting the assistance I needed to get everything wrapped up without issues. Great dealership and that's only because of the great team they have working their. Everyone did a 10/10 job helping me out throughout the process from start to finish. Thanks fellas.
Actual con artists, avoid at all costs
Worked closely with Brett for the purchase of my 2021 crosstrek (outdoor trim). Very happy with the process, was a tight deadline as I was leaving the city mid month, but was assured a vehicle would be there prior to, and it was! Communication with Brett was done well throughout, and all the staff from finance and Antoine (who explained car features) was thorough, all were patient, and provided well informed answers to my questions. Appreciate all the help from staff, loving my vehicle and proud to be part of the Subaru family :)
Great experience, right up to the point where they added and installed items to my bill without my request or consent. Super friendly staff, but typical mechanic / dealership frustrations when it comes to billing.
Gary was super helpful. I had a recent check engine light on and was able to be squeezed in the same day to get my car looked at. Because of difficulties trying to attain a tow truck, I was unable to arrive on time to my appointment and there was not a word of negativity that I showed up so late to my time slot. I told Gary what was going on with my car, and although the light had gone off since arriving, he looked at it anyways. He was super expedient, polite, and efficient. Gary even showed me how to avoid the problem from occurring again. It felt great to be taken care of and to have the peace of mind knowing that my car is just fine. Thanks!
Service/Parts department always act so annoyed and unhelpful. Wanted to purchase a part for the BRZ and they were making it so difficult to get pricing for a bumper. There was only the ONE gen at the time, but they insist for a VIN to ensure it’s the right model, like really? So you not know anything about our own products? Ridiculous. After the recent incident with holding another customer's car hostage and double dipping warranty work from Subaru Canada, they are definitely not a place I'd get my next vehicle from. Staff incredibly unhelpful and have an aloof attitude. —— Now OpenRoad, not much better. Service department quotes one price then charges about 2-3x with no explaination. Had to speak to a manager about it and he acted as if it was a one time exception and a favour to honour their quote. Beware of their service department, nothing’s changed.
Bought a Subaru BRZ from Bowen. Would definitely recommend this dealership to any friends or family!
I normally do not give reviews. But here I go. I bought my second car (Subaru Forester, 2020 ) from here few weeks back. To be honest I didn’t think of getting approved for the loan so fast and smooth. They are good at what they do. I want to specially mention Bowen Xue because of his positive behavior. He really pushes himself an extra mile to satisfy customer’s need. Happy with the overall experience. We are thrilled to have you as our salesman and this is exactly why we buy Subaru. STRONGLY RECOMMEND the salesman BOWEN XUE.
Called service and explained the "check engine" light is on and "cruise control" is flashing, they said, $130 just to hook up the computer to see what the problem is. Searched online and found that HUNDREDS of people with the same age Forester have reported the same problem and bringing it in for service doesn't fix the problem. It's a bug that Subaru is well aware of and trying to find a fix for. I can't believe the service department isn't aware of the problem, so they basically want to soak me for $130 when they know there's no problem with the car and they can't actually fix the glitch!
It was the first that I got to be familiar with the brand of Subaru and I am glad that I chose OpenRoad Subaru at Boundary. Since I don't have a car, their staff Bowen drove from Burnaby to Richmond to pick me up and send me back. He is very knowledgeble with vehicles and the brand. He is not only recommeding me any Subaru vehecle, but he is recommending me THE CAR that suits for me and my life situation. I really appreciate it.
We got a great car with the color and trim we wanted, and with a great price from this dealership. Zachary was really nice and helpful. Highly recommend.
Out of all the dealerships I’ve ever had to deal with, this one was the worst. Everything is overpriced. They won’t budge on any fees (other dealerships will work with you, this place will not). Their fees (hidden cost) will cost you more than any other places (anywhere from $200 to $400 extra). When they sell you additional coverage insurance etc, other places can discount of up to (approx)$800, this dealership will discount of $400 and you have to know to ask for it. They will tell you: you have to buy the coverage now or you won’t be able to, even if you step out of the office for a minute to decide - this is a tactic to force you to buy at their prices. I got my dealer in Toronto to help me, for thousands much cheaper. In Ontario this type of sales is not practiced, they can get in a lot of trouble, but in BC, it’s not govern, so they do it. Trying to get a hold of anyone is ridiculous. Once they get to financing department, they don’t want to deal with you anymore. I told a friend is mine about my experience with open road, and she just laughed, as she had a similar experience. Lack of interest in helping her, overpriced, wouldn’t budge on any fee cost, and found them to be unfriendly. It was so bad she went to another dealership (I wish I did too). Which prompted me to write this review. I really wanted to write a good one, but during the sale, I felt completely taken advantage of, unappreciated as a customer, I left feeling awful. Worst experience, and it’s such an expensive purchase too. Save yourself the stress and anxiety and just go elsewhere.
Great service
Exceptional service. Hamid was helping us throughout and his attitude and professionalism was top notch. His willingliness to provide me the help I needed was the reason I chose them over the other dealership I was dealing with. He gave us the keys for the test drive which was awesome. We didn’t feel any pressure or being rushed at all from the beginning. It was an amazing experience. He went back and forth between the manager and me trying to provide me the price that I could afford. I did my research. They gave me the best price possible. I have given my deposit today and will pick up my car soon. Kudos to him and The Subaru Management team. I’m very happy that I made a good decision buying my car through them. Hassle free, smooth experience. I am confident with the purchase I made and will be recommending this dealership to anyone.
Nice service, multilingual sales
Brought in my wife's Outback for service. Pedro was great to deal with and really knew his stuff! Will definitely be back!
This is my first car purchase from a dealership and I had an amazing experience with Zach. He was patient, friendly and went above and beyond to help me feel comfortable. From answering all questions (I had plenty!), offering to pick me up from home, arranging my hitch install and post sale car questions/advice. He provided constant updates and check-ins throughout the whole process. Great service! thanks
I picked up a 2018 BMW M240i from this location and got to deal with a salesman by the name of Zach. He was extremely helpful and made the whole experience simple, not to mention his knowledge around cars! He made the entire exchange easy, from working with me on my trade-in, to driving my dream car off the lot! I then got to work with a lovely woman named Natalie who made the financial paperwork a breeze. She was kind, considerate and absolutely pleasant to deal with! She also helped me find a warranty that best suit my driving! After those two, I got to deal with the final step of getting incuranse from Dorris. Again, an easy process and she was able to show me a couple price comparisons for different coverages and help me find the best coverage that suits me! Possibly the best experience I could’ve ever gone through to get in to my dream car. Fast, polite and positive! Would highly reccomend this location to anyone looking at getting in to a new car!
Horrible Customer Service. Lack of interest in helping, wouldn't budget anything and very unfriendly. The whole team needs to be re-train in customer service, especially the arrogant "manager".
Service was ok, they scuffed the leather on the brake lever of my STi. What really irked me was the fact that I was quoted $70 for an oil change, and then presented with a final bill of $110. Was given some excuse form the service rep about how the synthetic oil costs more (I know that it does). That should be reflected on the initial quote/service order, not sprung on the customer when it comes time to pay. Will be wary of prices quoted by these guys in the future.
Service (Sales)☆☆☆☆☆ Service (technician) unknown Team work ☆☆☆☆☆ Knowledge ☆☆☆☆☆ Speed of service ☆☆☆☆☆ Environment ☆☆☆☆☆ Price ☆☆☆☆☆ It was such a pleasant dealing with these guys. They are reliable, honest, and very professional. They know what they are doing! More importantly, they don't push you but at the same time, they WILL get you the best deal with respect!!! I felt they thrive to make things happen for us. Special thanks to Reza!
We got there close to closing time and were aware of that fact. We were ignored and then scowled at by the most unfriendly salesperson I have ever seen. Steer clear. Try the north shore dealership Instead. Don't be fooled by their bugs bad name they are super friendly.
Our family truly enjoyed our experience with Wolfe Subaru. Kudos to Tiffany Kwiatkowski for finding us the exact car we were looking for.
We bought a used Forester at Open Road Subaru Boundary. Kenny, our salesperson and the rest of the team made the whole purchase & trade-in process easy and stress-free, despite it being late in the day. The Forester had been inspected, parts ordered and work scheduled to ensure it was up to their high standards for a 2nd hand vehicle. We would definitely buy from Kenny & the team again!
Danny and his team have brought a new energy into this store. Highly recommended for anyone purchasing or servicing a Subaru.
Very pleased with the fantastic service I received today and thanks to my service advisor, Shaun, for his excellent customer service and attention to detail. Well done!
The sales representative (Bowen Xue) was very nice to work with. He was not pushy as most sales representatives are. He helped, and allowed me to take my time to make my decision. Would definitely recommend this dealership.
I brought my Forester to address my AC system issue 2 years ago. A year later, the AC stopped working just when I needed it (summer). I brought it back to have it addressed. Ended up spending in total close to $1000 (for both services). This year the AC is not working again - it would have been 3rd time bringing it back. I've asked kindly to have the inspection done complementary as a common sense customer courtesy and give them a chance to reflect on their poor workmanship on this issue so far. They insisted that they're a new company, new manager, etc and they can't honour the inspection. From my perspective I spent $1000 for something that keeps breaking - something they didn't fix properly. Do I need to spend more hundreds of dollars only to find out that next year I get the same issue. No thanks, I'm going to try someone else moving forward for all my car services. The service 2 years and before were great with their long time excellent service manager Hubert. Every since he left there was a number of service manager changes and so on and the service was slowly degrading. If they want to keep their clients from the "previous" company they need to work for it a bit.
*Excellent customer service *Clean environment
I started searching for a car about a month ago. This was the first time I buy a car from a dealership. I met Bowen Xu at the Open Road Subaru who made this experience less stressful for me and helped me find a car that I love for a fantastic deal. He was so patient as I couldn't decide exactly what model I wanted to get and had limited budget. I didn't feel pressured and he answered all my questions. If it wasn't because of COVID I would have hugged him!
It is now my one stop dealership! Bowen Xue is a very professional sales rep who went above and beyond to help to conclude the deal and offered the most competitive price in Lower Mainland. The manager I dealt with is highly competent, and very pleasant to deal with! Big thank you, guys! Highly recommend!
Was an absolute pleasure to figure out what options I had for my first new car, I dealt with Bowen who was courteous and had prompt informative knowledge on any model of car i asked ( got a 21 cross-trek) as well during the final phase of the sale Stephanie was a pleasure to deal with, helping me figure out which warranties i should and shouldn't get. overall an absolute pleasure and when I purchase next it will definitely be from here :)
Good service so far! Very happy with my brz
I have had the great experience of purchasing a 2017 Impreza from Chris Jamieson for our daughter. He is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. There was no pressure , just shared his valuable knowledge so it made the buying experience painless. We now have 3 Subaru’s in the family and plan on buying a Crosstrek on the near future from Chris. I would highly recommend Chris and the dealership.
I had a Subaru Outback in for a pre-inspection review. The mechanics caught a few details that were very good for me to know. It made me much more comfortable buying a used vehicle. After leaving, I found some mistakes on my invoice that led me to being over-charged. To Wolfe Subaru's credit, their Service Manager, Hubert followed-up and got it fixed. Great work on the management end.
I just want to say.... WOW. Out of all the dealerships I have visited and looked at cars, this dealership grabbed my attention. Excellent staff. First of all, I want to give a shout out To Chris Jamieson (Internet Sales Director), Natalie, and Donna (Finance people) for being so cooperative and supportive. I was told this dealership is NO BS and it stood by its words, I was not forced into any sales, and no aggressive sales tactics were made on me, the decision was TOTALLY ME, they did not try to force me into anything. They gave me an absolutely GREAT deal for my 2017 BRZ and worked with me to really meet my budget! I just want to say, if your considering a Subaru, go to this dealership, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. More specifically, go to Chris, he takes care of his customers and genuinely cares about what YOU WANT, not what HE wants. This is what makes people be loyal to you, honesty, and care.
I was impressed with the friendliness, information, service from parts advisor Kent Chiu yesterday. He was informative about the repair options and came out to see the problem. He was able to replace the missing part on short notice and I was very happy with his care, service and friendly attitude. Will definitely be returning to this care facility for further work, service, car maintenance and repair on our subaru forester in the future. Good service, Kent
The service staff was organized, friendly and efficient. That's about all you can ask for from any service department.
It was well organized and completed satisfactorily. Thank you.
Had the pleasure of working with Bowen to purchase a pre-owned car. He went above and beyond. Providing that top-notch service you hope to receive when making an expensive purchase. I highly recommend visiting this dealership for any of your automobile needs. Make sure to ask for Bowen!
Worst service experience. I had my forester for service about 6 months ago and the service department quoted me multiple different pricing for the same service and blamed it on the new system. After getting a final quote, I left the car and had two more phone calls with further varying higher prices due to their system issues. After 6 months, I decided to bring the car in again to give them another chance and they claimed that my service appointment was not in the system and it would take longer than expected. No apology was made they made it seem like it was my fault without reason. I left without doing the oil change. Horrible customer service. I have never left a bad review till now. And I don't feel good about it
Recently purchased a new Subaru and had a great experience with our sales associate, Bowen. He was easy to deal with and we worked out all the details over text and email. Given the COVID pandemic the delivery process was safe and easy, and Bowen was thorough during the delivery. He has even followed up to make sure we are doing well with the new vehicle. The crazy part is I contacted a Subaru dealership near my home first and they never followed up so after waiting a while for them I emailed Open Road Subaru and Bowen responded right away and took great care of our family (I still haven't heard back from them). Thank you to Bowen and Open Road Subaru!
Chris was very polite to work with. I would highly recommend him! Thanks for everything Chris!!
My wife and I recently bought a 2016 Legacy Limited from Open Road Boundary. The product advisor Kenny Ying was really helpful in answering all our questions, and providing the complete vehicle service record history. Got an extremely good selling price and excellent trade-in offer on my old Corolla-S. Thrilled with all the features of the Legacy - will be a great family car for road trips. Gord
Very helpful staff✌????
I recently went here to buy a used car but ended up not getting it as I decided to switch from manual to automatic (otherwise it was perfect!). I wanted to leave a review as I had bad experiences at other dealers but had really exceptional service here and will hopefully be buying my next car from these guys! Chris was any first point of contact and was incredibly quick and friendly when sending me info. I sent a request late in the evening and didn't expect a response let alone such a fast one! At the dealership I dealt with Zack and he went out of his way to be helpful and friendly, offering to get us when our car broke down, replying to numerous questions via text, and even coming in on his day off to help. I really appreciated him going the extra mile, especially as I was literally looking at the cheapest car here but still recieved VIP service. When I went back to get my deposit (as I had changed my mind about driving a manual) and asked for info about leasing, Zack patiently explained all the options and gave me lots of useful advice. If you're looking for a pleasant and non-pressured place to buy a car then head here and ask for Zack!
I've only dealt with the service department here but found Eugene to be very helpful. I had forgotten the lug key for my winter tires at home and they were able to give me a loaner to drive home in and back since my car was already up on the lift. That being said - I've had issues with the service department and trying to book appointments. They are usually unresponsive to voicemails and through their online booking service. Unfortunately this has left me with going to another dealer for service.
Unimpressed and disappointed. Wouldn't recommend. "Book times" on repairs exist for a reason. Apparently these guys need longer but the consumer is the one that gets stiffed. $750 bucks for a wheel bearing??!!! Contacted Mark Livingstone, got voicemail. Left my cellphone and got no response. I guess that reply was just automated and to make people think your customers are important to you, which we are not
I called to inquire about my air bag recall and the service lady said they would order and call me when the part was in. She was super efficient and knew exactly what I needed. A few weeks later I got a call back to schedule my repair. Repair was done in under two hours. Waiting area was pleasant, had Internet, TV, beverages, and even a spot for a dog?!! Service could be improved if they would notify newer customers about the the waiting area, parking area and the service drive thru for us not familiar with your dealership. I've only been there a total of two times and the first was when that location first opened.
Friendly staff
Very good service. All the employees are very courteous and helpful, it is always a positive experience.
This is my first service with Wolfe and all went well. My wait was shorter than expected and the consultant was helpful and courteous. Servicing costs are higher but I wanted to ensure this new vehicle lasts.
I highly recommend this dealership. The atmosphere is welcoming and calm - no high pressure. Our sales consultant, Bowen, was excellent - quiet, patient, knowledgeable, willing to answer all of my questions and listen to my needs. Bowen was my first contact at the dealership and made an excellent first impression. Donna and Natalie, financial service managers, were efficient, professional and pleasant. Everyone from the receptionist /cashier to the gentleman , from the service department, that gave my new vehicle a final wipe-down before I left the dealership with it, had excellent customer service skills and made me feel valued.
Ricky is always so helpful. He always takes care of me and my wife! 10/10 for service department!
Ricky in the service depairtment was excellent! He gave me a free key fob battery replacement with my service.
Visited this location for the first time, had a great experience dealing with George from the parts department. Would definitely recommend checking out this location.
I would highly recommend Chris if your in the market for a Subaru. He provided exceptional customer service and went above and beyond. Loving my Crosstrek!!!
Chris makes car shopping easy. No pressure, good advice, answers all my questions, calls and emails promptly.
I sent a note to several shops on a Sunday afternoon to try to get my Impreza (clutch gone) reoaired so I could continue my travel. Got a quick positive reply from the Service Manager (Hubert), had it in at 8AM Monday and on the road by noon Tuesday. All the parts in stock, update texts on progress and a new loaner - stellar service! Thanks Hubert.
Very professional and fast sales team. I was dealing with Yujun and had a great experience. ????????
SV is very professional and knowledgeable salesperson available at anytime His answers were honest and prompt on all my questions
Worst purchasing experience I have ever encountered. I spoke with a sales associate, Connor McCormack, at Wolfe Subaru to negotiate the price of a 2019 Crosstrek on behalf of my mother-in-law. After trying to discuss pricing options with Connor directly on behalf of my MIL because he would only offer her MSRP, Connor announced that we were not worth his time and abruptly hung up the phone on me mid-sentence. Connor is exactly what’s wrong with the car buying experience as he tried to take advantage of a buyer (my mother-in-law) who does not know the automotive industry well. Prepped with her own prior research to make an informed decision, Connor suggested that the information she gathered was irrelevant as it was only specific to the US. Working in the same industry and having reviewed the information myself, I know with full certainty that what Connor said is not true. In fact, the information gathered was entirely specific only to British Columbia. Tldr; Connor McCormack tried to take advantage of a potential customer, did not negotiate in good faith, declared I was wasting his time, and hung up on me mid-sentence.
Rude
A phenomenal experience here, buying a 2021 Subaru WRX Sport-Tech! I initiated things online, was given an estimate on my trade-in vehicle, and set up a test drive, all within a couple of days. Things moved relatively quick, as manager Danny Xi got back to me with a very reasonable deal, which I didn't take long to jump on. Salesman Bretton was an initial contact through email, but then Herman Kwok is who I dealt with in person. Herman was great, answered all my questions, and didn't bother me more than I wanted, or needed, after I left the dealership to consider the deal. Once I decided to go for it, Herman set up the pick up quickly, and the car was ready to go at the time I was told. Had a quick and easy meeting with financing (so sorry, can't recall the girl's name, but I hope the dealer looks into it, as I'd like to give her a commendation as well), then got a tour of the car with Antoine Lacuesta, where he answered the remaining questions I had. I'm actually looking forward to buying more Subarus in the future from this great team. Thanks, Herman, Danny, Antoine, and Bretton (also financing personnel)! I highly recommend giving Herman Kwok a call, and requesting Antoine Lacuesta to go over your new car when you buy one.
Chris and team know their products .... Confidence Building! We enjoyed buying and the Service team's care after. Would buy from Chris again.
I strongly recommend Wolfe Subaru on Boundary! First of all, I was impressed about the pleasant approach and manner of the sales advisor - Robert C. He helped me to carefully plan and choose my car - Forester, like my own family would. Secondly, the environment of the dealership was welcoming and calm, which allowed me to learn about the car I wanted to get without being pushed into purchasing anything. I will definitely go back there and discuss with Robert for the next Subaru. Natalie, the financial services manager was also awesome. Thank you for the pleasant experience!
The whole dealership needs an upgrade in customer service starting with their General Manager who i have yet been able to speak with. Some errors in staff forgetting things, long delays in repairs and questionable mechanic skills, lack of communication between departments, even receptionists who have left the phone on voice mail with no return calls made! I would only give it 1 star however, I was told they have acknowledged their situation and have made changes to try and remedy the situation. I was told both a new service manager and sales manager have been brought on board recently and I will say those 2 have so far been the most helpful. Because of this, I have hopes that this dealership can make changes for the better. Perhaps a replacement in General Management too, might help this dealership with its overall issues? ***Update (Jan. 28, 2021) I received a call from Subaru on Boundary today being informed they are now managed by Open Road Subaru. I inquired about a $200 service/parts credit I was provided for the delays and service issues I had encountered for a transmission repair (under warranty) when the company was under Wolfe Subaru on Boundary. Now that the company has been bought over by Open Road Subaru, I have been informed they will no longer honour this credit. Just another example of what is NOT good customer service/relations. GOOD cars ...being sold by BAD companies...
Jamie Hird, Chris, and the team at Wolfe Subaru were wonderful to deal with. All questions answered, service outstanding. Would absolutely recommend!
Chatted on website with an extremely rude and condescending agent called Kenny Ying. I wish I could give zero stars. When I asked him about out of door price for a brand new Subaru Impreza, he said in a very rude way: It is on Subaru website. What quote do you want? Are you going to do the deal? When I told him his replies were not helpful or kind of more towards rude side, he said this and I quote: "I am working now for you on my off time. Dealership closed at 5." Well, first of all I didn't know dealership was closed. Second, if you try to make your customers feel bad/guilty for contacting you 1 hour after you are closed (I checked the closing time afterwards), then sorry I will take my hard earned money somewhere else.
This will be a long write-up review, but well worth the read IMO as I believe some people will appreciate a thorough review. I was in the market for a few vehicles, one of them being the Subaru WRX STI. I wanted to get the highest trim with a bunch of accessories and protection pkg etc for a pretty pricey vehicle already so I decided to shop around and see if I could get a good deal as I wanted all the bells and whistles. I originally went to Wolfe Subaru at Langley bypass and had a pretty terrible dealership experience. To make a long story short they wouldn't even do up a car for me in their system to see the potential costs and just told me to do it myself (which I already had, I just wanted to see what kind of deal they would offer me) and that they weren't going to talk about the pricing/financing or anything else until I was willing to 100% sign and purchase the vehicle, then they would talk price. Over the course of a few weeks I had gotten nothing but excuses as to why they wouldn't do the work or talk deals beforehand, 95% of the work for the dealership I did myself, the only thing they did was walk to a safe to hand me keys for a test drive, anything beyond that was pulling teeth. Fast forward a few months after considering the other vehicles on my list I decided to give another Subaru dealership a try. While at work I decided to fire off the online chat to a couple dealers to see if I could quickly sum up what I was looking for, if they could help me do such and to not run into the same runaround BS as before. I connected with Zack and he said they were more than willing to help me out. He grabbed my phone number as I had to get back to work and said I'll contact him when I can. During my break (working late) and at the end of Zack's shift he was on the phone with me answering my questions and figuring out a game plan. WITHIN 12 hours overnight on Zack's own time he had done more work and then some, than I had received in weeks at the Wolfe dealership and more than some of your average experience dealerships. Zack's work ethic did not stop there... any questions I had about colour options, swapping rims and tires, lighting, tint, accessories... Zack had found all the answers, went to each department if he didnt have the answer and within minutes was sending me pictures and examples of each question I had to help me make sure I was making the right decisions for a possible big purchase. Over the course of a few days Zack had consistently everything written down in an excel sheet so he could pull up in an instant to remember exactly where we left off and where to go next... he had this for all of his clients. When it finally came to the decision of buying at no point in time did I ever feel pressured or even asked if I was feeling like buying yet. Zack's knowledge and work ethic alone were enough for me to make an informed decision and to make some purchasing offers. After some negotiations, Zack was upfront, honest and did everything on his part to make sure I was getting a good deal in every area of the vehicle and I was more than happy feeling like I got a solid deal on an expensive performance car when all was said and done. From the purchase time to waiting till my vehicle was ready Zack only continued to provide the same work ethic for further questions/concerns. He even made the detail shop take it right back when the detail guy accidentally scuffed the side skirts sticking out with his shoe after delivery. When it came to administrative services both Diana and Natalie were very helpful and even returned my emails on their days off when I was expecting to hear back during the regular working week. My vehicle was also rush ordered on a ship and had everything ready for delivery earlier than expected. To sum it all up my experience from start to finish, driving away with the keys was even better than what you would expect. Any doubts I had about spending my hard earned coin on a big purchase was relieved. TLDR: I highly recommend OpenRoad Subaru Boundary if you're in the market for a vehicle.
Excellent service. Everyone we met were very friendly and accomodating. We loved working with SV who was very helpful and patient with answering all of our questions. Donna from finance was also very sweet and clear with the details of the transactions. We were able to enjoy the excitement of car shopping without intimidation or pressure.
The sales person Robert Chan is very rude. I went here to buy a 2019 Subaru Forester, and the deal he offered to me is even more expansive than the one listed on their website. I didn't notice this before I made my deposit. Afterwards, my finance option got rejected , so I went for him to get my deposit back. Guess what? Robert was yelling at me and saying he's not returning my money because I told him I would pay by cash on the phone which I didn't. He seems to be an uneducated guy. The only star is given to Chris who gave my money back and offered me a fair price(even though I didn't take it). Everyone says Subaru are good cars but the people like Robert damage to its reputation.
I dealt with Chris Jamieson, who was excellent. He gave lots of information, returned emails with good detailed answers, and was always friendly. I told the Manager how good he was when I picked up my car and said "he is definitely a keeper"!
Friendly atmosphere, excellent services. And thanks to my professional and patient sales consultant Bowen and financial service manager Natalie, both helped me a lot during the process of purchasing.
Good customer service in the Service Department. Booked a vehicle service that I wanted to get done online, which was very easy and convenient to do. I was also notified while booking online about a few recalls that needed to be performed. They had a simple drive in drop off with friendly staff. My services were completed sooner than the estimated time and was notified promptly.
My service experience became very bad since last year. Previously the service front desk was very nice and patient and now the new service front desk is very impatient all the time. As long as I wanted more details or information about my service or I have any concerns about the receipt, he becomes very aggressive. I will not go to this dealership anymore.
I came in to buy a car and was sent away without any help or follow up. No aggressive sales tactics is appreciated. So is actually getting some help.
terrible!
Salespeople are okay. Manager is a nice guy. Service and parts department are atrocious. Got given the wrong wheel key after putting my winter rims on and only realizing it the following spring to get them taken off.
I just bought a new car about a week ago and I had the best experience with Chris. He was very helpful and professional. He went over everything with me , his service exceeds my expectation I am very satisfied with the car but even more with the incredible serves.
We just leased a new Outback from the dealership. Our salesman Chris Jamieson was fantastic very relaxed and easy to deal. Well ran dealership would recommend them to anyone looking for a Subaru.
Took my car in for a valve spring replacement under a factory recall, when I got the car back the AC was not working ( previously working fine) and when I complained they claimed that it was like this when I brought it in and refused to accept responsibility for it. They also over filled the engine oil by 1 litre, very sloppy work.
Great service every time I come in.
We had a great experiencing buying a Forester with Srinivas Varanasi. He, and the entire team at Wolfe Subaru, made the process easy and pleasant. The car is a joy to drive and the buying experience was simple. I would not hesitate to return or recommend them!
I had a wonderful experience purchasing a used vehicle. The process was stress free and pleasant. JAX SUN was very thorough and knowledgeable. He was able to find me a vehicle that suited my needs. Thanks Jax..
I got my Subaru Forist here. Mr Bowen is a great sales man! So good !
My wife and I had a great experience with Zach at OpenRoad Subaru. He was readily available (even on his days off) and knowledgeable about the differences between different models and trim levels. We didn't find Zach pushy at all. We ended up buying from a different Subaru dealership because of inventory availability but wish we could have given Zach our business.
Although I didn’t end up buying a car from the dealership, Kenny Y. was very helpful and a true professional. If I’m going to be in the market for a Subaru, I’ll be looking Kenny up.
Typical car dealer, small selection of used cars
Exceptional and Prompt Service from Leonardo in the service department. I'm blown away by the quality and care of both myself and my vehicle. I will definitely be back and will highly recommend Wolfe Boundary to both my friends and family. Well done guys. Thanks Again. Justin
Recently bought a 2020 Forester from Jason at Open Road Subaru. The process is simple and easy no pressure. Recommended for sure. ????
Chris was a pleasure to work with, extremely helpful and honest salesman, highly recommend
ROBERT CHOW REVIEW “ No aggressive sales tactics or high pressure sales. We strive to have the best Sales Consultants with Certified Factory Trained product knowledge. Your comfort in the process is our priority.” After a horrific rollover accident in my 2015 Subaru Outback, I, as well as the doctors in the Trauma unit, realized the quality and construction of the Subaru saved my life. As a result I decided to purchase another Subaru and decided to go to Wolfe Subaru on Boundary because I had had some unpleasant and demeaning experiences at a Subaru dealership on Marine in Vancouver. When I entered the Boundary dealership, I was fortunate to meet sales consultant Robert Chow, an amenable professional, knowledgeable about the Subaru products, and compassionate, supportive and focussed on his client. He helped me to clarify my driving needs and showed me some vehicles that were a fit. During my test drive he explained clearly and in great detail the optional settings and other perks of the vehicle until I exclaimed “Robert!! You are better than Youtube!!” My entire experience with Robert Chow and the warmth of others at the dealership was positive and uplifting. I have complete confidence in recommending the Subaru product, the professionalism of Wolfe Subaru Boundary staff and most of all Robert Chow to any and all who are looking for a positive experience. The lead quote at the top of this review is a transparent and truthful mission statement for what this dealership is all about. More than words on a page, they are words in action. Peni Martel
I got my Subaru WRX STI here. Bowen is a great sales man! Awesome experience.
I just purchased a 2019 Honda HR-V from this dealership, I can't say enough good things about the experience from my first email enquiring if the vehicle was still available, to driving away as the new owner. Chris was my initial contact and was so polite and accommodating, the next day when I arrived to look at the vehicle, Chris was with other customers so I dealt with Zack, he was so accommodating and informative, asked if I wanted to wait for Chris or continue with him, they were both aware of how tight my budget was, I initially wasn't going to go look at the vehicle because it was above my comfort level & knew I would fall in love with it, but it had everything I was looking for & more. Zack asked me what my bottom price line was & then took it to the sales manager, Ian, we negotiated and he came down to a price I was comfortable with. I was very surprised to end up with a price lower than anywhere else for the same vehicle or even older models. The next day when it was time to take the vehicle, both Zack & Chris must have spent a hour with me showing me all the features, Zack had even read up all about the vehicle because it was a Honda. I truly felt that everyone there was as happy as I was to see me get such a special vehicle. I am a senior on my own and never felt pushed or intimidated, and feel like I can contact them any time with questions, my trade-in was 26 years old so all these features are new to me. I highly recommend these guys.
Great service. Zac went above and beyond to get us exactly what we wanted. We will definitely be back for our next vehicle!
polite and helpful staff
Loved working with Bowen. He was fair, quick, efficient, and got the job done without messing around. I'd buy a car from him again.
Excellent customer service and a very enjoyable experience!
The experience of being a client of OpenRoad Subaru Boundary was excellent. Kenny and a team did an amazing job of helping me to conclude with a choice of my new car. They fully accommodate my family needs. I am extremely happy that I am a client of their service.
Fixed our headlight on a moments notice with no appointment. Super helpful and friendly, and fast!
Jax and his team were amazing and super helpful!
Very good customer service, Srinivas Varanasi was my sales person, who was very helpful and patient along with being very enthusiastic about the Subaru brand. Vehicle is great!
Be weary of the service department collecting payment from Subaru of Canada for warranty work, then trying to collect from the customer as well. Double dipper on warranty work. Shame.
Just purchased a new Forester from Brett at OpenRoad Subaru Boundary and had an amazing experience. Brett took the time to assess my needs and found me the perfect vehicle that fit within my budget. 10/10, definitely recommend asking for Brett for your next visit!
I have purchased 3 Subaru's from Chris J. He always goes above and beyond what is expected, and is by far the most honest person I have ever met. If you do not ask for Chris personally, you are making a mistake.
Service advisors were very informative. They explained everything that was happening on my vehicle.
I could not have asked for a better experience at OpenRoad Subaru. The facility was extremely clean and the team was friendly and helpful. Ricky was professional and addressed all my concerns.
We just bought our second Subaru from Wolfe Subaru on Boundary this year. Each experience was 'the best' of many years of car buying. Friendly, helpful people selling a product they have a lot of confidence in. Little to no pressure and a willingness to help. We likely won't be needing a new car for a few years now, but if we do, we will be visiting Wolfe on Boundary. Probably our only stop.
Bowen was great, friendly, and patient. First time I have bought a new car in my life, and was dreading the idea of dealing with a salesperson. He was very helpful, pointed me in the right direction, I felt like I got a great deal, and everything was efficient. I look forward to many years with my new Subaru, I'm convinced for the price the Forester is the best small SUV you can get.
Car buying with Wolfe was a great experience. Particularly, our salesperson, Zach, was outstanding and the type of individual who we felt had our best interests in mind. He was incredibly respectful and honest in his dealings with us, ensuring that the experience was overwhelmingly positive. If you are in the market for a Subaru, have a chat with Zach at Wolfe on Boundary!
Good price, no high pressure selling and reasonable service department charges for a dealership.
I have had such horrid experiences dealing with Subaru and also this dealership. It’s too bad because I love my vehicle but will not be buying anything from Subaru in the future.
Everything only takes 3 days; Because I know what I want, I contacted the dealer, Mr.Srinivas Processed my case and hand over to the financial department; the second day, it was approved. the third day I got my car; They are doing their jobs very well, but it is not the major reason I end up here. Because their competitors are much worse :) Subaru on No.3 Rd never response me; Docksteader on Cambie processes slowly, meanwhile, the connection to their customer is loose, at least couple times, I have to actively contact them to find a finance solution. I am happy now ,at least there is dealer doing their work. ________________________________________________________________________ Update: The sales for leasing promised me a snow tire changing, however, I over trusted him, it is then not in written form. If you make deal with any sale, PLEASE MAKE IT IN WRITTEN FORM. ________________________________________________________________________
Ask for SV when you get to the dealership, he is resourceful, friendly and will find you the car you need!
Bought a brand new 2020 Subaru Forester from Openroad Subaru Boundary. And I want to thank Bowen personally. He took care of all my needs, and no push at all. Highly recommend this dealership for car buying needs & experience. 5 star rating to Bowen and this dealership!
X excellent service knowledgable staff service rep was polite and personable and my service was done in a timely manner. Great place to take your car for service
Excellent. Kwan, the salesman , was very professional and helpful.
I had a fantastic experience purchasing my vehicle from OpenRoad Subaru. It was a pleasure dealing with Bowen, he was very professional, and answered all of my questions and concerns. The team made my purchase "Stress free". Keep up the great work everyone!! See you for my next Subaru purchase.
Very organized service team , service advisor is friendly and the service manager is very helpful .Will come back again for my next car service.
very helpful and friendly staff, Zach was great to deal with, went over and above to make the whole buying experience more enjoyable.
I'm going to join the long list of customers who can't deal with the horrible service department. Incredible how the service advisor would take me for a complete fool and tell me that is normal for when the check engine light to come on multiple other lights will come on. TPMS + ABS light + trunk release light as examples. On top of my vehicle being under warranty they charged me a diagnosis to make sure there wasn't any "human error" this is my 3rd Subaru and last one ever coming to this shop. Hopefully the GM reads this and deals with these advisors and there often pure made up lies.
I went into your dealership ready to purchase a new vehicle; Subaru was one of two vehicles left in my shortlist. I left not only disappointed with your dealership but now my overall image with Subaru service is affected as well. I went in and started looking at the vehicles. While there was at least one salesperson just at his desk without any customer, no one approached me for assistance. I spent several minutes trying to open the hatch on an Impreza but couldn't so I finally approached a salesperson and he said that the reason I could not open it was because the battery was dead (not sure how that could happen - no other customer wanted to check out the hatch?). Anyway, I just got the overall impression that no one needed any more sales because the overall attitude of the salespeople on the floor was less than enthusiastic - very complacent. Even while talking to the salesperson, responses to my question were very short, with no further explanation and with the common response - "check our website." I contrast this with another car dealer where the supervisor was always there checking to make sure that ALL customers are being helped and there was a palpable enthusiasm of salespeople for the cars they were selling. While I am still assessing my choice of Subaru for my second vehicle, I definitely will not buy from this dealer. They really have not earned it.
I bought my WRX in April and received top notch customer service. The sales person, Bowen, listened to what I wanted and got me my dream car. The approvals for the finance were quick and easy, once the car was ready, the paperwork and pick up process was seamless. If you are looking for a Subaru, check out OpenRoad Boundry.
This is the best car buying experience we've ever had. Chris Jamieson had the car completely ready when we arrived and the entire process was informed, courteous, and no pressure. We won't hesitate to recommend OpenRoad to others. Thanks Chris.
As a proud owner of 2015 forester, I took my friend to test drive the brand new WRX as he was hoping to purchase a compact sporty hatch/sedan. We arrived at this dealership in my Forster, walked in and had a brief chat with one of the sales staff, requesting a quick test drive. The sales rep said they didn't have any WRX for test drive. We then asked if we can test drive one of 7 WRX and WRX Sti siting in the dealer lot to which he said we werent able to. I explained to the sales rep that we weren't exactly college students on a tight budget wanting to trash the car while test driving cars (we are both in our early 40s) and that we were serious about purchasing the WRX. The sales staff said it was the company policy that used vehicles can't be driven for test drive (which I can understand) yet offered no alternative ways to test drive WRX. Suffice to say we left this dealership and arrived at North Vancouver Subaru dealership where my friend purchased a brand new WRX after test driving the WRX.
I visited Subaru on Boundary today to test drive and get a quote for a car I was interested. However, the experience I had here was by far the worst customer experience I have ever had. I booked an appointment at 5:30 pm so I got there at 5:25 pm. Receptionist asked me to wait because he was dealing with something. After I waited 10 minutes, Robert Chan came, introduced himself and asked me to wait 10 minutes. He did the same thing a couple of times and did not come back. At 6:05 pm, I told him I waited 35 minutes and I had to leave. He then finally told me he could help me but I did not have a enough time to test drive so I asked him about a quote. He asked me when I was going to buy a car. I told him I was going to buy a car in a month of two and asked him about the quote. However, he asked me to offer and said "I am not the one to make an offer but you". I offered the price I would be willing to pay. I did exactly what he asked me to do but he didn't give me any information and only asked me if I was firm with the offer I gave and he wouldn't do anything until I was firm about the price. I was not sure if I could get better deal, if he could sweeten the offer or didn't know the price I offered was reasonable, so I said no. By the way how can one be firm about anything when visiting a dealership for the first time and a sales person does not tell you anything unless he or she is firm? I said "Can you just tell me the price I just offered reasonable enough?" but what he said was anything could be reasonable and kept on beating around the bush with full of ambiguity again. I said "I was honest about the price I wanted but you haven done anything nor answered anything I asked so I can not trust you". He then started yelling at me, saying, "You don't know what you are asking and You wasted my time". He said this in a very intimidating way. I waited over 30 minutes and I researched well about the car I was interested. I still can't believe what he said to me and I have never had anything like this at a dealership before. I am writing this because I felt very intimidated by the fact that he yelled at me and I was treated as if I was not a valuable customer at all.
I am so pleased I was referred to OpenRoad Subaru. Jason, Mark, and both finance ladies who helped me were so friendly and patient. Best of all- I've finally found my new vehicle!! It was my first time buying 'brand new' so definitely a stressful purchase, but they helped make it as easy as could be. I will be delighted to recommend this location to my friends and family in the future. Thanks again
Chris Jamieson always goes the extra mile time and time again. His service is outstanding. No task too big or small. Chris is our families go to person and we always reach out to him for everything we need for our vehicles. A persons true value reflects after the sale and Chris is valued, I'm sure by not just our family but all his customers. Thank you Chris for always having the time for us and always readily helping with a smile.
Exemplary service with no high pressure sales tactics. We test drove our Fantastic lightly used Forester and drove it home the same day. Clean and shiny with a Full tank of gas! The whole team were super friendly, could not be happier. ????
On Sunday, October the 1st, I came from Coquitlam to visit Wolfe Subaru on Boundary together with my father. I am looking to buy new car for myself (I have 2 SUV now) and decided I can give a try for WRX with CVT (not STI). I came to the dealership and it was STI manual in the center of showroom. Noone paid any attention. I’ve seen salesperson sitting at his desk and doing nothing. I approached the front desk and expressed my interest regarding WRX. The lady said I will call someone and phoned the bored guy who was at the same room 10 meters away. He came to me and asked what I want. I explained that I want to test drive WRX. He said this is not possible. I asked how else I am going to buy the car without testing it. (take in consideration I cross shop for much more expensive cars as well). He said – I can give you an exception with approval of my manager, but…you will need to sign a contract? And pay $500 nonrefundable deposit. So I walked away and I will never return back. This is ridiculous approach to attract customers.
I can’t say enough great things about Chris Jamieson. He’s always available to answer any of my many questions and never makes me feel like a nuisance. He’s so patient and clearly really knows the product well. See Chris if you need a salesperson who won’t make you feel like an inconvenience or just another sale. I’ll never buy a car from anyone else.
My wife and I didn't have great service at this location so we went to another Subaru to purchase our new car. Felt the staff was pretentious and talked down to us.
Srinivas was great couldn't be happier with our car
Purchased a 2020 WRX STI from Zack, 10/10 for him, super friendly and easy to work and really attentive. my car did take a month to arrive but I was always updated on the regular basis by him so I didnt feel I was left out in the loop, its just one of those peace of mind feelings that is greatly appreciated
Asked a salesperson for referral on detail place and they suggested CS Mobile Auto Spa. Got my car back from CS Mobile Auto Spa, it is badly scratched everywhere (black paint) Called salesperson to complain about this referral. He hung up and stopped picking up my calls.
Very impressed and satisfied with my experience at this dealership. Bowen showed utmost professionalism, knowledge, and patience while explaining the different options I have. He was very understanding of my situation and did his best working around my constraints to get me the best deal he could. Thank you for the awesome experience and I will definitely be back in the future for my next Subaru!
This was my 4th new car, and first Subaru. I have to say that I was very, very impressed with how I was treated as a customer by Wolfe Subaru on Boundary. My salesperson was S.V. I saw/spoke to him several times, had a couple of test drives of the Crosstrek. Never once did I feel pressured to make a decision...and he knew that I wasn't wild about any of the colour choices available. He also knew that while I loved the colour of the Forester they had in the showroom that it was really way too much vehicle for my driving needs. I had decided to wait until the fall of 2018 to see if the Crosstrek would come in any better colours for me...but then got an email from them about their Black Friday promotion. We went to see what it was about and the Forester whose colour I really liked was still in the showroom. On a whim, we sat in it, loved it and bought it. I don't think there was anyone more surprised than S.V. as we had not been looking at the Forester at all!!! The purchase was handled smoothly, no hiccups at all. I got the model, colour that I wanted and it even came in earlier than their estimated 2-3 weeks. S.V. went over accessories with me, explained them to me and arranged for them all to be installed. One of the accessories I got was the Homelink for the garage door opener. Not being knowledgeable about this at all, he even came to my place to set it up for me, and that I really appreciated (works like a charm!). Now, that's what I call service. Payment was handled easily, insurance was on site making driving it away a breeze. As I said, this was my 4th new car, but never before had I been invited back by a dealership to go over again some important details of the car, to answer any questions I might have about it, now that I had been driving it for a couple of months. That information session was great. I LOVE driving my Subaru, and know that S.V. is there to help me should I have any questions or concerns about it. Many thanks S.V. for making this car purchase a great experience.
Great sales team. Terrible Service Dept. The experience that I had with the sales team was great (I highly recommend getting in touch with Connor McCormack). Courteous, and professional. Didn't make any assumptions about what I needed. My experience with the service department however was TERRIBLE. I was mis-quoted on transmission service by over double, and they weren't willing to get even close to honoring the original rates. I also asked the service team to investigate a serious steering/suspension issue, as I had an upcoming road trip. They gave it a quick inspection and told me they couldn't find anything. They said I should be "fine" for my road trip. A few days later everything was so loose that I experienced severe wheel flutter on the Coquihalla highway and had to pull over because it wasn't safe to drive. Don't ever go to these guys for service.
First time here and was impressed. This is a lot more convenient area. Will be back
Love the new car! BUT......Do your own homework and research or else you will be taken advantage of. Know the value of your own trade-in vehicle, and don't let them coerce you with "time-sensitive" incentives. There will always be other deals as long as you are not in a rush. If you don't mind the work, you will almost ALWAYS recoup more money selling your trade-in vehicle personally rather than trading it in. Research the features of the car/trim you are interested on Subaru manufacturer spec sheets and youtube test drives, and be ready with specific questions when you test drive in person. Otherwise you could be led astray as to what car truly suits your lifestyle/budget.
A big thanks to Chris for all his time and help. He’s very knowledgeable, patient and kind. Thanks Chris!
After the Subaru on Boundary changed hands from Wolfe Subaru to Open road, the quality of the service department became much worse. They treated customer like cash cow and only milked them for money. I paid for a routine maintenance (the price increased 50% after ownership change) which included a battery test. A few days later, my battery failed right outside of my 3-year new car warranty period. I took the car in expecting an explanation about what happened in the last service, instead all I got is that this was unfortunate and a hefty bill for another battery test. I will never visit this dealership again, and I will make sure that NONE OF my friends and families ever goes into this dealership.
Bowen replied to my initial enquiries late at night, way beyond office hours, that gave me confidence about their customer services and influenced my choice of dealership. Bowen is highly professional and knowledgeable about the cars, and would look up information for me during his days off. He arranged pick up for me once he realized my needs which made it very convenient and easy for me to complete the transaction and get the new car quickly. This was actually not my request but his thoughtfulness. He offered to give me any further explanation or assistance anytime that I may need it in the future. I feel highly satisfied with the purchase and I am very impressed by his job dedication and the extra miles he would go for customers.
Courteous customer services at the reception. Thank you for the excellent client experience there.
My wife and I have been shopping with a very specific set of used vehicles in mind. Zack Baines-Mallel has been a superb salesman! Without applying undo pressure, and with enthusiasm he has shown us a variety of options and has been respectful of our budget. While we haven’t found our car yet, I have the utmost confidence. Our interactions have been beyond our expectations.
BEWARE !!!! Salesman CHRIS & his boss YURI They are all TRICKSTERS !!!!
I was on search for the right Wrx Sti for quite some time and Zack at Openroad Subaru Boundary has always been along this long journey. I have nothing but great things to say about my experience with Zack and will not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a new or used vehicles! zero pressure and completely transparent. It was a really refreshing car buying experience.
Worked very hard to get me into the car i really wanted. Was a great experience. Overall very happy with my experience with Miko from Open Road Subaru!
Awesome service dept. I just have my car serviced here. Robin is very helpful and friendly. Strongly recommended .
My first ever Subaru car search was am awesome one!. I went to Subaru Boundary Road in Vancouver after my work and met Christopher Jamieson. It was almost the end of his shift but he was not rushing me to ask questions. Patiently presenting to me the details and professionally answering my queries. I got my car last March 2020. In my happiest as I saw the car waiting for me. Mr. Jamieson made sure that it was ready by the time I arrived the Dealership. It was a very pleasant and a stress free experience. I truly commend him for all the help that he gave me during the process. Whoever is reading this review and are interested to check on Subaru Boundary Road, Vancouver ... please look for CHRISTOPHER JAMIESON. Thank you!
The last time I went to a different Subaru dealership had a really bad experience. The people worked over there look down on us and won't let us test drive our car until we are seriously (talked about the price before we even test drive it) to buy the car. So I thought every Subaru had the same policy. However, when I walked into Open Road Subaru and asked for test driving the WRX, they just handed me the key and let me have fun with it. Base on my previous experience, I was surprised that they let me test drive the car without questioning me. Due to COVID, the sales won't be sitting beside you while you are test driving the car, so you can do whatever you want with the car. Herman is my Sales representative, he can speak three different language( Cantonese, Mandarin and English). Most top sales knows how to talked you into something that you don't really want because they are persuasive and pushy. But Herman is a newbie there( My car is the first he sold), he talked to us like a friend.told him what I want, and he delivered, that's it. Anton is one of the service technician and he is the one showing me around the feature in my car, he is knowledgeable and friendly as well (He is a newbie too). He showed me one benefit that other dealership is lack of is that you can drop off your car when their service is end, and come back the other day to pick it up. If you find my review is useful and you would like to buy a Subaru car, feel free to find Herman, and please mention that you have seen this review and referred by me . Thank you
Still have not heard from the manager in regards to my review.
The whole experience was very positive. Staff Robert Chan provided professional services to us and answered all the questions that we had. He made our whole Suv purchasing journey a very pleasant one. We really enjoy working with him.
Zach made the purchasing a car an enjoyable process and truly stood head and shoulders above any car salespeople in today's ultra-competitive marketplace. Zach was so incredibly knowledgeable explaining the benefits about all excellent technical aspects of the Subaru Crosstrek, that confirmed we were making an informed factual decision to purchase the car. What really struck me was Zach's ability to think "outside the box", by offering me Subaru's Ascent top of the line model while I was awaiting the delivery of our new Crosstrek. It was so refreshing that Zach quickly understood that I did not want to drive my 2014 Subaru Crosstrek as I was trading car in and did not want to risk any issues with our 2014 Crosstrek. That gave me a huge "peace of mind", which Jim Pattison Subaru, sales person argued with me, that they don't do it, period, wow that's what I call putting the customer last ! Zach recognized so quickly that by loaning a brand new customer a high end Subaru Ascent, would truly be "Peace of Mind" for me and my wife. Zach smartly thought that maybe down the road, I may just be interested in a higher end vehicle as well as our friends got to enjoy the vehicle as well, what excellent "planting the seed" approach to selling for the future. If you are going to buy a Subaru, please invest your time with Zach as you will see first hand how Zach will make this "painful car buying process" into a focused and enjoyable process that is all Zach! Thanks, Richard Boon
We had an amazing experience here with Zach buying our new 2020 white Forester Limited. He is a very patient and understanding dude. He even offered to personally pick us up to go to the dealership on a couple of occasions because our old car was in the shop. Zach personally delivered and offered to install our roof rails at our home because they were out of stock the day we purchased the car...fairly amazing service! We shopped around at other dealers and his initial price was very honest and competitive...I very definitely thought he deserved our business compared to experiences we had at other dealerships. Go talk with Zach, you'll be treated well!
Had a really great experience with Chris. He walked me through all the different options, and helped me find the perfect car. Thanks Chris!
Had a great experience with S.V.! He's genuine and no-pressure. The manager also went above and beyond in having a brand new battery placed as I was from out of town and didn't have time to wait for a full charge. I'm really happy with my new Outback! Thank you!
I recently purchased a Subaru Outback from Wolfe Subaru. Reza and his team went out of their way to make sure the process of trading in my truck and purchasing a new car was seamless and to make sure all of my needs were met with zero complications. I could not be happier with the service and professionalism at this dealership. Thank you!
Wolfe Subaru, and particularly Chris Jamieson, provided the best experience you could hope for when buying a car. He was so knowledgeble on subaru vehicles and general car ownship (maintenance/tips) that I could save a lot of money thank to him! I'll be returning indeed.
Great great experience we had with the whole team! I’ve met Bowen Xue mid February as I was actively looking for a new vehicle. Very clever and knowledgeable sales representative.. most importantly very honest and genuine! Initially I was just looking for a used WRX to accommodate for I what i needed. He made it very clear that it’s best for our interest to stick to brand new since payment after the term will be the same amount of payments. Long story short... I even tried other dealerships to make it happen for a 2020 WRX but none of them can pull it off. Bowen Xue and his whole team made it even better to find 2020 WRX sport tech plus a whole bunch of extra incentives and discounts! I was very pleased and exceeded my expectations. The experience and wait... definitely worth a while!
I went to service department for booking for an appointment and the oil change price went up by 10 dollars, compared to price on the phone. I gave the person about vehicle year, model, and km. and he asked me if the car has 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder vehicle. I just walked out of there right after a short conversation. I visited 3 different dealer shops so far and poor customer service and lack of knowledge keep me away from this dealer shop even I live in Burnaby.
BEWARE!!! DO NOT BUY ANY CARS FROM HERE!!!!! I bought $45,000-used car from CHRIS-(salesman) who work in Wolfe Subaru on Boundary. CHRIS said, the car which I choose is like a new one, everything is perfect condition and very low mileage,,,,blahblah After all paper-work, I just realized There is no Owner's manual. Chris told me he is going to buy new owner's manual for me, but next day, he refuse to buy a new one. he told me that I can Download "pdf file" from the web, and then print it out by myself!! One more important thing!!!!!! When I checked the 2 smart keys, there is NO emergency keys. (the small metal key inside of the smart key for emergency) both of them are missing!! Salesman Chris didn't even know that, didn't even check that. IT'S RIDICULOUS!!!! but there is more!!!! Chris told me that the emergency key is an option!!! can you believe that??!!! he is so stupid or he thinks customers are stupid!! also YURI, he is the boss. manager. He also flatly refuse to discuss the matter. IT'S TERRIBLE TO BUY A CAR HERE!!!!! I bought more than 10 cars, minivan and pick-up truck in Vancouver. it's the most terrible experience EVER.
Recently bought the 2022 Subaru Forester from Open Road Subaru Boundary. Very satisfied with the service from Herman Kwok and the team at Subaru for making this purchase quick and easy. Thank you!!!
The review for this dealership could be paragraphs upon paragraphs long with all the mess ups and lies told to me. Long story short this dealership totalled my brand new car, all of 4 hours after buying it as I left the car at the dealership so they could fix a couple small scratches. It then took them almost a month and a half to get me a new car. There was no offer of a loaner for me to drive for the entire month and a half I was without my new car. I had to call or stop in for updates, they almost never contacted me. When I finally did get my new car there was dents in the roof which josh one of there sales managers told me not to worry about and said “there just bubbles from the clear bra wrapped” that was installed on the vehicle. After about a month of “letting the wrap settle” there was definitely dents in my roof which josh then claimed he never saw and I was informed it would cost me a $1,000 to have the dents fixed. Danny the dealerships GM also said they would fix the dents but then went back on his word. Do not trust this dealership josh and Danny and the definition slimy car dealers
2017 forester a/c problem. Covered by warranty. Not good sign Super friendly customer service by Ricky, George, and amlit.
We need a second car desperately, but there are so many SUV to choose from. It is exhausting to do the research on our own. Luckily, we stepped in Subaru and met a knowledgable sale Bowen. He was able to make recommendations tailored to our needs. And we are lucky to purchase the last 2020 ascent in grey with a great price. We appreciate his help sincerely.
Excellent customer service. Kenny was courteous, prompt with responding to my messages, and very professional. Highly recommended.
I had a bad experience with Subaru open road boundary. I love Subaru but I don’t like the way they treat customers. I bought a new car from them in May and also bought a warranty for my new car but my car got scratched accidentally back in June. 4 months later, they arranged an appointment date and time for my car repairs. On my appointment day, I dropped off my car and they double checked everything with my warranty contract. 1 hour later, they called me and said they couldn’t repair my car because mix-up with the alloy repair techs, and thought one of the cars from Subaru was mine. they couldn’t have time to complete the repair.
Nothing but good experiences with these guys. I didn't buy my vehicle here, but they treat me better than the dealership where I did purchase my vehicle. They're always looking out for their customers first - and that's why I'll continue to deal with Wolfe Subaru in the future.
Buying a new car can be stressful, there's a lot to consider and you've heard all the stories. Our product advisor, Bowen, was excellent from start to finish. He walked us through our options, provided us with the info we needed, didn't push us to make a decision that wasn't right for us and truly made the new car buying experience as painless as it could be. All of the staff we have met at OpenRoad Subaru have been wonderful, but hats off again to Bowen for going above and beyond to make sure we were supported through the process! I would highly recommend checking these guys out if you are in the market for a new or used Subaru!
Went to this dealership looking for a lightly used car. Jax Sun assisted us during our visit. He was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. We weren't married to any specific car but knew we wanted something bigger and reliable. Jax worked really hard for us to get a very competitive price on a 2017 Subaru Legacy. I am very grateful for only needing to go to one dealership without feeling I needed to "shop around" for some savings. After doing my own research and working with Jax, I am confident to say that we left OpenRoad Subaru knowing we got an amazing deal and an amazing car! I highly recommend asking for Jax when stopping by the dealership.
Recently purchased a vehicle from Brett at Subaru Boundary. From first contact to sale it was a great experience. Very informative on the Subaru lineup and not pushy like some salesmen can be. Can honestly say I love my car and enjoyed purchasing from this dealership. Thanks!
First time customer to Wolfe Subaru looking to have high rpm power hesitation diagnosed and all I can say is I am disgusted with service I received. I came in to the dealer in person to book my appointment and everything seemingly went well. I was asked what my complaint was, and I was assured transportation while my car was being serviced. I was also never informed or explicitly told that they do not service vehicles with modifications. I can say that I’ve never seen such a half-assed walk around inspection performed prior to service and the advisor I dealt with was reluctant to provide shuttle service and forgot to mention what the diagnostic charge would be when I signed the repair order. When I received the call that my car was ready I was told nothing could be done due to modifications, and that the only work performed was a visual inspection. I have to say if a visual inspection is the only way a diagnosis is carried out, that it’s a disgrace. I found my service experience to be infuriating and an absolute waste of time.
Kevin from the parts department was pleasant to deal with. He was efficient and knowledgeable and was quick to rectify a parts mix up. I would definitely recommend him for all things parts.
Frustrating experience. I won't be back. Not bad if you want an expensive oil change and free car wash. You go to the dealer because they are the experts on your car, right?
I am not a car person, so I generally ask my son, who is knowledgeable about cars, to oversee my car purchases. He recommended I go to Wolfe Subaru because he knows I can very critical of the manners that I was likely to encounter in a great many car dealerships. I was relieved to be met with gracious manners when I met the salesperson my son intended me to see. This was Srinivas Varanasi ("SV"). My wife has been very pleased with a new Subaru she had purchased recently, so my son recommended I test drive a Subarua Forester. Srinivas was able to show us a 2010 model that had just arrived on the lot, in the process of being cleaned for re-sale. The mileage was relatively low and my son--who seems to know about such things--advised me that the price was very fair. Foresters apparently re-sell quickly. In a very relaxed manner, SV took my wife and I for a test drive. I called my son to also give it a test drive. Again, SV did not exhibit any pressure tactics whatsoever. That same afternoon the proprietor at Wolfe Subaru had independently raised the re-sale price on the Forester; so when I made my decision to buy it, there was a differential -- two different sale prices -- so this looked like it was going to be problematic. Ah-hah, I thought, it wasn't going to simple after all! Car dealership trickery? But, no, I was proven wrong. SV and his boss discussed the matter and agreed they should honour the original quote at the outset of the process--even though, as my son told me, they could have easily sold that Forester for more... Buying a car actually turned out to be an enjoyable process! I ended up saying to SV, "I might not know a lot about cars, but I do know a lot about people." The other two employees I dealt with at Wolfe Subaru (Diana and Donna) for the paperwork were also entirely pleasant and relaxed in a non-phoney way. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend the services of Srinivas Varanasi and this dealership. Simply put, he is a sophisticated and honest person. It appears the overall sales climate at Wolfe Subaru is oddly non-aggressive, civilized and fair. -- Alan Robert T.
For such highly rated cars, too bad the the staff aren't. Won't be referring anyone to that Subaru dealership.
Great service. Visited the Wolfe Subaru this morning to replace a battery in my key fob. It took just 2 minutes for the Service & Parts guy, and he was very knowledgeable and polite.
I have recently bought a Subaru RS and do the work to it myself. I’d like to say that the parts department is absolutely terrible. My first experience there was awful, i dealt with a fellow named Keith who was not helpful and seemed disinterested in his job. All I wanted was a quote on some parts and a oil filter and to do something so simple seemed to be to much for him. My second time going there I wanted a key since I only have one. I gave them my vin number and some how they still managed to give me the wrong key. My car is 2001 and did not require a chip, just a basic key and they still managed to mess that up. My third time giving them a chance I needed a basic engine air filter. After talking to them on the phone and telling them the specs of my car he determined which one I needed. I insisted on giving him my vin number but he seemed confident. After returning home and trying it out it ended up being the wrong filter! Upon going back and exchanging it I asked a simple question “why did you not take my vin” they replied with “sometimes we try and cut corners and get away with it.” This has been one of the worst experiences dealing with a dealership. Not even receiving 1 single apology while making mistake after mistake and trying to cut corners at my expense wasting my time driving back and forth. Highly recommend not wasting your time here.
I recently brought my 2018 Crosstrek in for general servicing and to address a concern noted with the blower motor fan (it makes a horrible high-pitched sound intermittently when on). Having your new car make awful noises when driving really takes away from the overall driving experience!! The service staff I dealt with handled my concern with tact and diplomacy. They were clearly very knowledgeable about the vehicle and the blower motor issue (which is being corrected under warranty). I wanted to take a moment to personally acknowledge the outstanding customer service demonstrated by both Leo V and Immi H! Leo even stayed late to ensure my issue was fully addressed. Thank you to the Wolfe Subaru service team! (Management: Time to consider a promotion for Leo ;). Cheers.
I ordered winter tires yesterday and got an appointment for the next day. There were tons of available time slots and I didn't need to drop my car off at 7am or fight traffic. Shaun was extremely helpful and said it would take at least 1.5 hours. Within an hour, he was already done with my car as he put two service techs on the car. I was out of there far quicker than I expected. Conversely, I would have had to wait 2 weeks for an appointment at Richmond Subaru and the service representative suggest I put on 17" wheels that would actually void my warranty. Overall, it was a great experience and I will only be going back to Wolfe from now on. Thanks Shaun!
Just visited and placed my order of a WRX. Zachary went above and beyond my expectation and so as the management team. They reached out nationwide trying to locate my order which most other dealers and sales team reluctant to proceed. Stephanie from finance was also very professional. Never expected will be that easy and my app was approval in just a few hours. Very efficient and pleasant experiences from both Zachary and Stephanie. Highly recommended if you want to get a Subaru.
We visited 6 various auto dealers and we were most impressed with the excellent service of Zach Baines-Mallel of Open Road Subaru. He was very patient in explaining the differences of the various trims. He was very well informed of the cars' features and very pleasant to deal with. Zach was very professional and we truly appreciate his service.
I recently visited OpenRoad as I was looking to upgrade the interior of my WRX with some new mats. Kevin was great at offering me the all-weather floor mats - they look & fit excellently! He also offered me a 'free staple' which I thought was rather amusing. I would strongly recommend this company for their professional, efficient & welcoming service.
Just bought my new Manual Crosstrek from Brett here at OpenRoad Subaru. Great service between himself & his finance team!!
Just purchased a 2015 Subaru Forester from these guys. Martin Phillips, the sales associate, went the extra mile to help me with the purchase and expedited the process. I would definitely recommend Martin to anyone who are in the market for a new Subaru.
Just read an article about your service department's deplorable treatment of a female client. Start acting like decent human beings do your job and fix cars stop adding more damages!
Well I do have to be honest about my first experience with wolf Subaru. First off I went in with 2002 wrx to be diagnosed and fixed. The diagnosis was wrong multiple times for what was one sensor. With a bit of confusion we came up with a solution. However the parts and service people did a great job to fix the problem in a short amount of time. Even after I got frustrated with them. Then after spending a few days looking at all the new models, I decided to buy new one and trade a brz I had. The sales people where very helpful and had a deal set up and signed in three days, with giving a fair trade value for the car. I never felt pressured to buy a new car at any time, and was given multiple times to back out. The end it off they where awesome, I was very happy with Wolf Subaru and every time i get in my car it puts a smile on my face. I look forward to dealing with them in the future and I'd sudjest them to anyone looking for a new Subaru.
Always had great experience with Wolfe. Staff are very professional and service is timely.
I am newly retired and my wife and I have purchased a camper trailer and are currently planning exotic road trip destinations. First we needed a new vehicle that could tow 3500 lbs with spare payload capacity in the towing vehicle itself. As a fly fisherman eager to explore hidden lakes and rivers, I had always been interested in Subaru’s high clearance and off-roading features. I approached OpenRoad Subaru Boundary and was introduced to Zachary Baines-Mallel. I couldn’t have asked for a better Product Advisor. We took a look at a Subaru Outback. Zach listened to my concerns about wanting spare payload capacity in addition to a towing capacity of 3500 lbs. He used his Subaru resources to give me the answers my wife and I needed. In the end, we purchased a new Subaru Ascent (Touring), which meets our needs perfectly. Zach went out of his way to help us with the purchase and to address my questions and concerns. He even dropped by my house to explain the towing hitch option package and to ensure that I had a hitch ball, which correctly matched the Subaru Ascent ball mount. Zach was a pleasure to work with and helped us make a purchase that really addressed our needs. I highly recommend OpenRoad Subaru Boundary and Zach in particular.
I bought my Subaru from Boundary Subaru and I have to say it was a pleasure dealing with Hamid as he made the experience a pleasant one; thank you. UPDATE April 27 2018: Unfortunately the car turned out to be a lemon after 2000 Km and they cannot figure out what's wrong with it. The service department is a nightmare to deal with as well. They have quite a rude and condescending attitude towards customers. I refuse to go there again.
Eugene was amazing. Took his time walked me through every step. Very happy
We had a great experience working with our salesman Srinivas on choosing the best car for our family. Srinivas was very patient with us making sure we were able to make an informative decision about our purchase. There was no rush and we were given a lot of space before deciding on the car we wanted to buy. Thank you Srinivas for being so competent and professional.
5 ???? I just bought a used vehicle from Open Road Subaru and the service was great! Bowen made the process very simple and hassle free! He was very knowledgeable and worked hard to get the best price. I would go back again to see Bowen! Thank you????
Poor service department, unethical treatment. Hold customers cars hostage, try to charge for warranty work that was completed in the past. Do a google search about this place, it will tell you all you want to know... Shame on you guys, and shame on Subaru for allowing this treatment.
ricky was super helpful and kind
Very impressed with my experience at OpenRoad Subaru on Boundary. Everyone I dealt with was fantastic! Jeanne was my sales person and she was very helpful with all of my questions, she made herself available whenever I required assistance and made sure I felt supported during the whole process. I have had my new Forester for 2 months now and have had a couple questions since buying my vehicle and Jeanne has been more than happy to help! Thank you
I WANT THE PEOPEL TO KNOW WHO GOES FOR SERVICE ON BOUNDARY FOR EVEN OIL CHANGE IF SERVICE COST ONLY HALF AN HOUR THEY TELL THEY TELL THE CUSTOMER WE WILL GIVE YOU COURTESY CAR AND COME BACK WHEN WE CALL YOU .THE CUSTOMER BELEVIES AND ALSO THEY SO SHOW OLED AIR FILFER FROM ANOTER CAR WHICH HAVE TO BE REPELACED.AND HO IS BEHIND THIS IN SERVICE UGEEN SHAUN AND MIKE IN SERVICE ALSO THE DETAILER JIMMY. THEY SCAM YOUR MONNEY.ALSO I WANT TO TELL YOU IF YOUR CAR IS DONE IN HALF HOUR THEN THEY KEEP YOUR CAR FOR 3 HOURS SO THEY CAR FOR 3 HOURS.
The service department is horrible to deal with. They have no loaner cars, poor customer service, rude staff, deceptive and over priced "required servicing" to maintain your warranty. I deeply regret buying a car from subaru. Already 4 recalls in 1.5 years. The cars look nice but are poorly built. I will be getting my required servicing done at my local garage. Dealerships are sinking ships!
Hubert Belanger is soooo helpful! He is the best!
Friendly knowledgeable staff on the products. Srinivas was incredibly welcoming and had a dialogue with me as opposed to talk at me when inquiring about the various vehicles and packages, not once ever pressuring me or seeming desperate for me to make a purchase, which is a testament to his character.
WOW Ricky was excellent with his service!
Thank you very much for the wonderful aftercare of the Open Road Subaru Boundary. Thanks to Bowen our product adviser and Stephanie our Finance Manager for their prompt response. Post-purchase support is also quick and accurate.
Christopher was great to work with. He was available, responded to questions quickly and also connected with me with those I need to connect with in a very timely way. Appreciated my experience from walking in - to purchasing and completing all paper and financial work. Thanks.
Had the pleasure of working with Jax to get me the exact vehicle I wanted. He was personable, not pushy, answered all my questions, overall good experience with him and the dealership. Cost was as quoted, no surprises on pickup.
I had a wonderful experience servicing my car at OpenRoad Subaru. My service advisor Diane was so professional, knowledgeable, but also very welcoming. I look forward to my next visit.
Didn't know it changed ownership, but I needed parts for my Subaru. Kevin at the parts counter helped me out. Great service, will be a repeat customer again for sure.
I do not even want to star this web page, the service division is the worst I had ever encountered in my whole life (and I am old). First of all, I tried to set an appointment by phone, and called more than 25 times, and the phone was never answered, on my last call I left a message with my info to get a call back and set an appointment, I realized that I was able to do it on line, and I did so, but later on, I was called and said they cannot receive my vehicle on that date as the don't have enough staff and technicians. So, the appointment was for today July 5th, 2021, at 1015am, I arrived on time, and explained the Air Conditioning is not functioning properly as was checked in Midas with my mechanics for a long time, and it was just a relay not functioning,
Chris Jamieson helped us find the perfect vehicle. Such a great experience!
Think twice or at least to make sure you get a second opinion from different places including other Subaru dealerships before getting your vehicle serviced or making a purchase from this place. I feel that Openroad Subaru on Boundary Road in Vancouver is as following: Full on with hidden fee, Provide misinformation on purpose to make profit, Have a clumsy and incompetent service desk and mechanics. In one word, Fraudulent. Here is what I experienced: I took my 2016 Forester XT that I bought from this dealership in Jun 2016 in for a diagnosis in Sep 2020 as there was some annoying noise when driving especially on highways as well as gas odor from the inside. Gary at the Service desk said my car was out of warranty as of Jun 2020 after re-checking his system since I asked to double check as the odometer was around 85000KM and it’s been 4 years and 3 months. Thus, he told me there would be two separate fees for diagnosis, one for the noise and another for gas smell, $150 each. I declined to examine the second issue as odor started to get thinner since it happened a couple of days ago. He handed me a paperwork to sign that was $150 + $18 Misc Fee for a total of $168 before taking the car in. When asked about the extra charge, he said it’s a standard fee for materials used to diagnose the vehicle. In order to get it inspected, I was advised that I had to pay for it. Since I was in a tight timeline for other appointments afterwards, I agreed to pay even though I felt like this was a hidden fee. After an hour when I walked up to the service desk, Gary said Lower Control Arm Bushings need to be replaced and quoted me $945 before taxes. Even though he mentioned that he had never seen any Subaru like mine with damaged bushings and better get an appointment scheduled to fix it as soon as possible adding he has a stock of all the parts, I took the vehicle home without making an appointment and started calling other mechanics and Subaru dealerships to get a second quote. In the end, I decided to go to Wolfe Subaru in Langley who gave me far better pricing on both parts and labour, about 25% less expensive than Openroad Subaru on Boundary Road. When I took the car in for the repair this morning to Wolfe Subaru, the service desk person looked puzzled and asked me whether the vehicle was in warranty or not. I told them what I got from Openroad Subaru but after checking the computer, he re-confirms that my vehicle is in warranty in fact. Not only they completed the job earlier than expected but also found other issues and fixed that one as well that Openroad Subaru couldn’t find when they diagnosed last month all under warranty for a free of charge. The service desk person also advised me that I should be able to get my money back given the situation. I get this line every time from the service desk person after getting serviced from Openroad: “You would get a call for the experience today with 10 being the best and for me, anything below 10 is failure” Not only I never got a call but for sure, you failed big time. What score would you give it yourself if you could put yourself into my shoes? I hope this helps other Subaru drivers out there making an informed decision.
I bought a new Crosstrek from the internet salesperson, Christopher, and had a fantastic experience. I'm from out of town but I was able to text/email Christopher to sort everything out. I got a great price on the car compared to other dealerships and I didn't need to haggle. Christopher always responded quickly to my messages and went the extra mile and helped me get a hitch put on my car before I came in to town to pick it up. At the dealership everything was quick and seamless and I never felt pressured into anything. Even though there are other dealerships closer to where I live I will definitely buy my next Subaru here.
My experience with Subaru on Boundary was phenomenal. Jeanne had made the experience less stressful and fast. Would totally recommend my family and friends to come drop by
Excellent customer service. Bowen was courteous, prompt with responding to my messages, and very professional. Highly recommended.
I have really bad time here, they are not very nice to talk to. I feel they don't think i'm serious to buying new car. I would not buy a car here, so I go other place to buy. buying a car is very expensive and they don't even spend effort answering my questions. I may have too many question but i don't know about car so of course alot of questions i have. does it hurt too much to spend ten more minutes with me?
Visited your dealership recently and spoke with Kevin. His knowledge and helpfulness is a credit to your company! Will 100% return again
I recently dropped by this dealership and looked for a mid-size SUV. It was fortunate to meet my Co-Sales Bowen and Zack getting their great support and advise. Both of them are passionate and knowledgable about the products. They listened me carefully and worked hard to understand what customer needs. Especially for Bowen, even after buying the vehicle, I still got lots of assistance from him. I feel I've built a long-term friendship with these people, which is not like we don't talk to each other after closing the deal. Their customer oriented service attitude makes my buying decision easier. Great job Bowen & Zack! Wish you guys can earn more business with your unique sales characteristic! Bonus: +1: I was surprised they provided me with higher trade-in value - sales manager Mark is so nice and helpful to reduce my finance stress +2: They could offer more appealing dealership discount +3: They have excellent service team - the only place for my regular maintenance +more: convenient location + friendly people + comfortable shopping atmosphere
I bought my car from this dealership and although I love the car. The service I received was appalling. Chris was okay to deal with by email and phone as I was coming from out of town to buy the car, but when I actually got there he treated me horribly. He was nowhere to be found when I was done with finance and quite frankly he was a little rude when he was finally tracked down. The service manager hung up on me when I called inquiring about why my summer tires were balanced improperly and fixing the issue (the car had winters on it when I bought it). And now, putting the winters back on I’ve noticed that the hub doesn’t actually fit and they didn’t inform me of this or give me the option to get winter rims that fit properly and are now costing me more money. Would not recommend this dealership to anyone, I cannot believe how awful the entire experience was, I’d give 0 stars if it would let me.
First of all avoid Jay! My first impression of this place was nice. The dealer I talked to was Jay and he seemed really friendly at first and he even let me test drive by myself. Everything seemed great until I got the final offer. Jay told me since there was a fairly big accident with the car I was trading in, the car's trade in value is $1500 lower than the market price. I told him I need some time to think so I will give him a call the next day because Forester just got $1500 more expensive. Jay's attitude completely changed and said the offer he gave me is the best price I will ever get and it won't be the same price if I come back next time.He also told me Forester is so popular that there are many people who would be willing to buy the car at higher price than the offer he gave me. I was very unhappy with the customer service and left the place pissed off. I went to the dealer ship on Cambie St. to check what kind of offer they give me. It turns out trade-in value of vehicle was only $500 lower than the market price and the dealer managed to get additional $500 off Forester. The final offer at Cambie dealership was $1500 cheaper!! If someone at management is reading this I would appreciate if this kind of thing doesn't happen again to anyone. All I wanted was some time to think before spending over 40k and one of your dealer pressured me to a point which made me really uncomfortable. I know you guys can do a lot better.
Took my 2015 subaru for a $160 diagnostic for a clicking noise when I turned the steering wheel, subaru told me it's a strut mount and wanted to charge me $1000. After another mechanic diagnosed my vehicle it was a loose tire which Subaru did not properly tourque on. Called subaru and service manager did not respond to my telephone messages so I went into the dealer and they returned my diagnostic charge, they mentioned the manager no longer works for subaru.
As usual, prompt and efficient service for my Subaru. Thanks!
We just bought our car at Open Road Subaru. It was a great experience from start to close and we can't be happier with our purchase. Chris Jamieson helped us at every step of the way and we couldn't have made our decision without his experience and expertise. He answered every question, consistently made sure we knew where we stood and provided us a great car at a very fair price while ensuring we got a solid trade-in value for our older car. His care and attention to some additional minor requests that surfaced post-sale made sure we drove off the lot as satisfied with our car as we were with the high quality of care we received from the team at Open Road Subaru. Thanks, Chris!
Excellent service, Kenny was a very knowledgeable and professional . He was very easy to deal with and made buying our outback a real pleasure,
There's new ownership at the Boundary location and it shows. Our experience with the Subaru Loyalty Specialist Geoff Rosales was genuinely second to none. If you plan on visiting the dealership, make sure you get Geoff. We ended up with a very good deal and we were looked after from start to finish. Rich.
They charged me $153.00 to put on a bolt and told me the lift shop would reimburse me for it. Wrong. They should have advised me to go back to the original place of instal instead of charging me an exorbitant amount and NOT EVEN FIXING THE WHOLE PROBLEM. Its is unfair when there is a lack of honesty and transparency with a mechanic. Would NOT RECOMMEND.
I had a great experience with OpenRoad Subaru Boundary while looking for a new car. I dealt with Zachary, and he was beyond helpful! He was super friendly, and answered all my questions. I would highly recommend going to OpenRoad if you're looking for a new/used car and ask to deal with Zachary!
Thank you for a speedy service
I bought a 2020 Subaru WRX from Chris. He is the nicest, most professional, and most knowledgeable car sales I’ve ever met in my life. He took the time to locate one of the last cars in BC for me and handled the shipping from interior BC. The entire shopping experience was pleasant. Please come see Chris for any Subarus.
It was a great experience with Subaru and Bowen. We got our dream car. Thanks for the inform, help, and services.
Wolfe Subaru on boundary is a great dealership. Staff are all friendly and welcoming. I would like to thank Chris Jamieson, Jay Kwak, Natalie Bernier and Shaun Hussain for helping me get my first Subaru. Keep up the great work and making guest happy.
GOOD SERVICE
Although the service itself was fine - which is why we came to this particular Subaru dealership over others - personal, explanatory, communicative, and this time the cars (yes, brought one in for a friend on the same day!) were both ready on time, and even early, there is one sore point that is so offensive to us, yet everyone seems to accept: the random addition of "shop supplies." This time, it added an extra $40 ($39.95, I believe it was) + taxes to a regular service! , When I buy a coffee, I am not charged an extra random "supplies" fee to cover, for example, cream and sugar, the detergent they use to wash my mug, or a rag to wash the counter, mop to wash the floor, toilet paper in the bathroom. You get the picture: It's included - factored in - to the cost of service(s) or product(s) offered. $40?!? We're talking about another 7.5% added to my bill, a fee I specifically did not authorize! (To be clear, I am not disputing environmental fees, and liters of oil here.) The same service has had different random shop supplies fees. Subjective? And this is not exclusive to this dealership: it's seemingly an industry standard, as I've run into the same random, excessive, unauthorized, subjective charge for years.
Just got a 2020 Crosstrek. The car and service was amazing, thanks to Danny (the GM) and Diana in the business office for taking care of me.
Terrible experience. Please avoid Wolfe Subaru at all costs, and drive to Docksteader Subaru to be treated like a human. After discussing the vehicle for a while, the Salesman(Old Asian) was very insistent on purchasing the car right now. Despite our efforts to leave the store, the man would not let us and started yelling obscenities. Very questionable sales tactics... All in all, would not recommend unless you want a salesman that starts to pick a fight if you want to leave!
I ordered a bunch of parts for my Subaru and received great service from their parts advisor, Kevin Parr. He was patient and responded promptly to my inquiries. He was also very thorough with ordering and delivering the parts. Highly recommended.
After a long month and a half of waitong to get my car repaired i finally got it back today. Interior soiled with mud on the drivers side and tooling damage on the hood all the way to bare metal and damage on the bumper from it being placed on the ground which was covered in debris. Initially i was happy that i got my car back. But for the lack of care on a customers vehicle? It seems like not alot of care was given when working around the vehicle. This is very dissapointing as this was the same dealership years ago that i got my first 2016 STI. Im not sure what has happened to the quality and worksmanship since open road took over. My advice... steer clear and go to another dealership for service needs.
I would not go to this dealership again! I took my Forester for a Subaru Recommended Service at this dealership, and I kindly asked the service advisor Gary Chung to make a note; not to overfill the engine. Because it was overfilled the last time, and I had to go back and ask them to take care of it after I got home. Somehow Gary Chung got very defensive and impatient. He cuts me off in the middle of the sentence, saying they know what they are doing, and overfilling won't hurt the engine. I was astonished by his arrogance and attitude. (Overfilling the engine could potentially damage the gaskets and seals due to increased pressure. In addition, since the crankshaft is in contact with the oil and foaming it up. The oil cannot properly lubricate the engine. As a result, the above will lead to leaks and costly repairs. ) Obviously, OpenRoad doesn't care about their customers, they see their customers as cash cows. I will definitely not be going to this dealership again, and I do not recommend OpenRoad Subaru to anyone! Definitely the worst dealership I dealt with.
My purchase of a car started with a visit to the OpenRoad web page, and what appeared to be a Q&A with a chatbot. Remarkably, it was a live person at the other end, Bowen Xue their sales advisor. We arranged to meet at their showroom. Bowen was extremely professional and we were able to conclude a deal that morning, and I was able to drive out with the 2020 Legacy that was on the showroom floor. No fuss, no muss. Bowen was a gentleman and he has provided excellent follow up since.
I don't normally write reviews but I noticed all the reviews on Google are very different from my experience. I have shared the below feedback directly with the GM Gordon there and I did not get a response so I'm sharing it here with everyone. First of all I’d like to say that Subaru makes great cars and both my brother and cousin drive one. Recently my dad’s car broken down so I decided to get him one too. I had hoped to purchase a car from Wolfe Subaru on Boundary, as I live less than 10 minutes away from. But I have a very negative experience with the internet sales manager Robert Chow. About a month ago I came in to the dealership to test drove a few cars. After consultation with my parents I returned with them to discuss price and make a purchase. At that time the 2016 models were rolling in and I wanted to buy a 2015. Robert belittled me and my parents telling us that Subaru’s are super popular and at most he could offer us is $1000 off MSRP and he couldn’t go lower, that is the “lowest price” I’ll get. I then told him both my cousin and brother recently purchased Subaru’s and they both saved a few thousand and that wasn’t month/model year end. He then told me to go buy the car elsewhere and called me a liar. At that point I told my parents that this is unprofessional behavior and we will take our business elsewhere. The next day Robert called me saying he could offer me another $500 off if I buy it that day. I told him that their price was still much higher than the quoted price Langley Subaru gave me over the phone. Robert then countered saying he could match whatever Langley was offering. Needless to say I declined his offer because Robert was deceitful and rude to me and my parents. Buying a car is a big purchase and I didn’t feel comfortable with Wolfe Subaru on Boundary. It’s unfortunate experience that I have since shared with my friends, family and coworkers. I understand that dealerships have to make money but Robert’s approach was unprofessional. He could have easily said he’ll talk to his manager and see what he can do and that other dealerships sometimes offers deals they just can’t. Calling me and my parents lairs and then the next day correcting his stated “lowest price” does not convey any respect or trust. I understand that one person doesn’t reflect an entire dealership. I hope you find this feedback useful
I would just like to say the service department aND the dealership always takes care of me and my vechicle the false review by raj dhak is unbelievable.. clearly he has issues to blame eugene shaun mike and jimmy they are great people always has a smile when serving me as a customer I'll always be going to this dealership thanks for the hard work guys keep it up don't let the false review by one person get you guys down!
Bought some wheels and snow tires from Kevin Parr, he promptly replied to queries and provided some options around purchase. He made all arrangements and delivered on time at quoted price.
My wife and I found the perfect vehicle and in great condition. After alot of research we found the price to be very reasonable and the negotiations were made easy. We picked the vehicle up the day after purchase and it was in immaculate shape for a used car. We will be back for regular maintenance.
Great customer service from Sunil Sharma. He was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the products. I would highly recommend Sunil and Wolfe Subaru to anyone wishing an awesome purchase experience.
Purchased a 2019 Subaru Outback 3 months ago and love it. Zach was very knowledgeable and provided a detailed hands on overview of all of the vehicles features.
Chris was our sales guy and he was very knowledgeable and patient with us. Even though we didn't get a car this time around, it had nothing to do with the superb service we received from the team at Wolfe Subaru. When we are in a better position to get a new car we will be coming back for sure
My wife and I bought a car here a few years ago. She was determined to do the preliminary shopping on her own, and I was pretty shocked to hear most of the sales people didn’t really give her the time of day. Dealing with Chris here at Boundary Subaru was a refreshing experience. We will be loyal Chris & Subaru customers for a long time.
Zachary was a sincere advisor that we enjoyed working with to find the right vehicle for our family. He was not high pressure, but hardworking, trustworthy and very informative about their products. He knew comparative products at other dealerships and was able to factually inform us about these differences with competitors. We would definitely recommend or return to him personally at this Subaru dealership. This is our first Subaru vehicle and I am sure that we would purchase another Subaru vehicle in the future given our experience. Thank you very much Zachary and we hope to see you again in the future should we need maintenance! -Shirley & Gerald
I've had a couple of negative experiences with this dealership. Brought my car in for servicing earlier this year and was unable to use my club points towards cost of service, despite receiving numerous marketing emails saying that I could. Earlier this week, I called their parts department to inquire about the availability of a product. No one picked up and I left a message. Didn't receive a call back so I went to the dealership in person after work. The parts department was closed, and the receptionist informed me that someone would call me back tomorrow. Next day, lo and behold, no call, no email, nothing. Didn't think it would be this difficult to buy touch up paint. This is the closest Subaru dealership to where I live, but I think I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
Came in for a service here and clearly states as part of every standard service lubricate all latches, hinges and locks. I had a really noticebly hard to open/sticky door on the back driver side door and when I got it back it was untouched and when i called back they tried to tell me it was done and I shouldve said something beforehand. Its incredibly dissapointing when you find out their service arent doing everything theyre supposed to and skipping service check list. They said to comeback and theyll do it but thats extra time theyre costing me for something that shouldve been done in the first place and definitely not going back after the mistrust they have shown, how could I come back for another service after I find out theyre not even following the stated check list, makes me wonder what else they didnt do. Terrible experience and service I expected the minimum and got less.
Was very impressed with the service. Great parking.
I recently required a replacement part for an exterior mirror. Kevin Parr went above and beyond in his efforts to secure the part in a timely manner and couldn’t have been more courteous and pleasant in over the phone and in person interactions. He is an outstanding representative of Open Road Subaru Boundary. Thanks for having top quality people like Kevin on your team.
Fantastic experience. Great dealership. Bought a car through Robert Chow, and he made the experience not only easy but enjoyable. All the paperwork was pre-filled out. Was in and out of the dealership in no time enjoying my new car. I highly recommend Subaru on Boundary for your next Subaru purchase, and look for Robert Chow.
Excellent customer service, I bought my first crosstrek in 2015, and I came back in 2020 for an upgrade to a Forester. Chris helped me both times and I’m glad he stayed with Subaru even after being bought out by open Road.
If you want to buy a Subaru, this store is definitely your first choice. My sales Bowen patiently answered my questions. The work is very efficient. It took just a short time to get everything done. It is a very satisfying car purchase experience.
Best experience I've had with a dealership! Miko the special finance manager got me exactly what I was looking for insured and ready to drive at the end of the day, this guy put in some extra work. Everyone i delt with was super friendly, no shady business. Definitely recommend!
Zac was great through the whole process of buying a vehicle and went the extra mile to ensure the deal happened
Kenny helped us to get the new Subaru Crosstrek! thanks for the detailed introduction of 2021 Crosstrek!
They ordered the part ahead of time, so by the time I took the car there, part was already there and they could begin the work. Turn around time was 8hrs for a rather big job, so I was very pleased with the service
I received no service from the service department. The service department was not organized, the manager was rude and unprofessional. I will not come back here ever to service my car and will make sure to tell my friends and my family to do the same. I would have given 0 stars based on the manager's poor attitude but decided to do 2 stars just because of the amazing experience the sales team gave me.
Spoke with a guy called Kevin and he was very helpful in helping me source the correct part for my Subaru. Got no response from another dealer and this was certainly a quality customer experience. Would highly recommend.
Very happy with my experience here. The man who helped me was called Kevin and he was able to answer all my queries in a professional and welcoming manner! Would definitely return in the future due to this. Thanks again!
