Buyer beware. We bought a rebuilt 2014 Ford Escape from them in 2017. The price on the car seemed decent, so we took it for a test drive before purchase. At that point we noticed a problem with the AC not working properly - it wouldn't come out of the proper vents. We agreed to buy the vehicle on the condition they fixed it. After a few days, they contacted us and said they were incapable of fixing it but that they would give us an extra $400 off the car. We agreed, reluctantly, but as we had gone through the process already, we purchased the vehicle as it is. Since owning the vehicle, we have discovered a number of things that puts the quality of the rebuild into question. This includes some missing screws from the oil pan, a damaged heat shield, and a crack in some of the paint on the roof. We've also discovered some significant problems in the transmission, and are now left with either replacing the vehicle or conducting major repairs on it. I might grant the latter problem is simply terrible luck, but the bottom line is they sold us a vehicle they knew was improperly rebuilt. ICBC sign-off or not, I would not buy anything from them without having it independently inspected first. They will try to tell you to trust them. Don't do it, and make sure you do your due diligence before your purchase.

I have purchased a car from here and literally in 1 year, I had to replace my transmission and I had to pay extra $3000 TO FIX THIS. Also I had to fix the brake as well .....Did I buy the car with the good price? No. This is one of the worst experience ever in my life

Very pleased with my purchase - 3 months in NO surprises or issues. Toyota Matrix rebuild- side door & door post- and the price was WAY below what I could pay for a comparable vehicle. Drives and looks like new!! I will deal with them again & would certainly recommend Coast Way to anyone who is looking for a used car. Sure you need to do your homework on where the damage was, check that area of the car thoroughly and research the price of similar or exact models. I did not buy a car but it was 2 of my friends. I helped them out check the cars which was a 2007 Mazda 3 and 2009 Scion TC. So far everything is working great no issue. For some people who's got negative feedbacks about this dealership, I'm sorry but ofcourse before you buy a car you really gotta do your research and inspections. This dealerships sell rebuilts so you gotta be really careful. So far, my friends are happy with their low km cars.Take care of your car because if not, she won't take care of you either.

Bought a 2013 used Accent Hatchback. I was looking at new ones for about $19,000. I saw exactly what I wanted on Craigslist and went to see Omar at Coast Way Auto. I understand how sketchy it is buying a rebuilt car but he was honest and showed me all the pictures of the damage. So far so good, but just a week in. Only complaints are it was really dirty inside, but that was totally okay because I was planning on getting it detailed regardless! and the tires were SO low in air my dad was a little upset. Other than that awesome car for an awesome price.

This place is amazing and so are the people!. I bought my first car here in November 2018 and recently bought another in May 2020. Apart from these 2 cars I also referred 2 of my friends here who also bought 2 cars from this place and we had no issues so far with any of the cars bought. The customer service is exceptional, they'll give you what you are looking for. As compared to other dealers their prices are always competitive and they always keep their promises (e.g When buying another car or referring your friends they will give discounts). In future If needed I will again buy from them.

I had a trade in. when I went there they checked my car and (GUSS) gave me the value for my car $10K. I was looking at couple options and I said I will come tomorrow with my decision. when I went the next day (MAROAN) ask about my decision. when I said i will go with Ford Escape, they had a talk between themselves and he was like no if you want to buy the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross I will give that value for your car if you want Ford Escape i will only pay you $7k that's it. honestly this was the most stupid thing i have ever seen. I test drove both cars not the best, even the ford was making noise while turning anyways i was surprised how they wanted me to buy the other car by depreciating my car for the Ford Escape. this is not how you run a business. really poor costumer service. people be aware of them.

Super shady place. I don't normally go out of my way to write reviews on places but I feel people should be aware, especially when your spending a large amount of money on a car, a rebuild car to be exact. So my boyfriend came the day before to look at some cars, he found a couple he liked and wanted me to look at them. When we arrived the sales guy acknowledged my boyfriend but showed little interest in me, then he asked to take the Mazda he had test drove the day before again so I could see if I as well liked it, he refused to let him, so we test drove the car that I was interested in, first of all the battery had to get jumped before we took it off the lot, then when the car was on, the radio stopped working when you put it in drive, and all the lights for the engine, abs, etc were on. The sales guy said that it just had to be 're-installed'... Once we got back to the office I inquired a little more about the cars. The Mazda that we were interested had been in an accident and Icbc had 'totalled' the car. Apparently the airbag didn't deploy or something, so I was very scared of what kind of condition the car was in, I asked more questions like the incident report from Icbc, why the car was totalled by Icbc and all I was shown was the inspection report that said it was fine.. When I was more persistent about the actual claim of the car the sales guy told me I was asking questions he didn't like and that he would not like us to buy the car. I said great and walked out. I highly recommend no one buy vehicles from these people, they seem way to shady. And horrible service. When someone is going to pay $10k for a car you should be shown some costumer service. Horrible horrible experience!

Bought a car from this dealership back in 2013. Price is great and low mileage as well. Like most of their car they sell it is a rebuilt which I don't mind. I don't have good eye during that time. But I start yo notice that the way it was rebuilt was below par. My car got a front end rebuild. The paint on area where it was rebuild has some tiny rocks on it. The bumper sticks out whenever I drive in an eneven road. The bumper wasn't replaced when it got into an accident but instead just painted and reshaped which is a obvious. SO BE VERY CAREFUL ON THE REBUILT. My boss also bought from him and I can tell from a far in what part of the car was rebuilt. It was done by an amateur.

They have a car I really like, rebuilt status. Got it inspected at the dealership, they found about 1,000$ (possibly more) worth of repairs. Salesman told me they would fix everything. Two days later apparently they are too busy to repair it but offer to discount the price 450$. Yes, maybe it was still a good buy, the car has only 60,000km on it but the engine was swapped after being totalled. When I asked repeatedly about information on the replacement engine I did not get a straight answer which tells me it is most likely not under 60,000km even the salesman tells me it is illegal. If it really is, why not have proof and make it a strong selling point? This is my experience, on one car that I did not buy even though I spent time and money. There was a steering issue and no Ac liquid in the system although AC is listed as an option. I ended up being really suspicious of the rebuild quality of that specific car. Do yourself a favor by doing your due diligence when buying used, or new for that matter.

After searching for a family car for 3 months I came upon Coast Way Auto's website. I arrived with my two hyper kids looking for a specific car. I was greeted by Omar who was honest, informative and pleasant right from the get go. I was right away smitten with one of their cars and really liked how quickly they made the process flow. I met Omar's relatives as this is a family business. Everyone was very polite and extremely tolerant of my over excited kids. If you want a dealership who is honest go here! I spent weeks online viewing cars and kept seeing there adds on cars with low mileage but said Rebuilt, I decided to go see them and was glad I did, I found out its body work that is all that had been rebuilt and the motor was all original mileage, i ended up getting a very nice car with low mileage at a great price, I would definitely recommend you go and look and decide for yourself. I had been talking to Maroan for the last 2 days about buying a vehicle at coast way auto sales. I live afew hours away, so wanted to make sure that the car was in good condition. They sqore up and down that the vehicle was in great shape. We always bring our own engine scanner when looking at new vehicle, so when we got there we plugged it in. There was no check engine light, but we pulled about 10 serious codes from the car, much of the stuff would not be covered under warranty. We drove 4 hours to this dealership, for them to tell us that they don't check codes unless there is an engine light, and then we got an attitude back when we brought the codes to their attention. A day wasted. I do not recommend this dealership.

Went shopping for a truck: Coast Way Auto had a used one that I was interested in. Used car dealers have a bad reputation, so I had the vehicle inspected by a certified mechanic. My mechanic had warned against buying anything from a used car dealer, but he was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the product, and I was impressed with the quality of the service. I am already sending other family members to this company.

Salesman Ghass, very nice and polite , but take your time ask questions. Don't rush your purchase. When purchasing a rebuilt vehicle ask about photos , repair sheets, spare keys, and don't sign until all the caveats for the completion of the sale are complete. There upfront as long as the questions are asked.

The sales team at Coastway Auto seemed wonderful, at the beginning. We purchased a 2014 vehicle from them - all seemed great, they had the papers to show us what work was done on it as it was in a rear-end collision but they assured us that everything was in working condition. We were allowed a test drive of about 1 km radius with the salesman in the backseat. Within 20 minutes of driving off the lot we discovered a loud clunking noise, the engine light came on, and the drivers seat was broken and would not lock into position and the oil was extremely low. We made them aware of these issues immediately and they seemed very accommodating and concerned. However, after 5 trips to the dealership the noise in the back was finally fixed (many times saying they were waiting on a piece - yet everytime we went back they would tell us that they would order it that day...), and then they would continue clearing the engine light without actually fixing the problem. After many times of rearranging my work schedule (I admit they would be flexible as well) they never resolved the problem. 2 months later and the seat still isn't fixed. We've told them it's a safety concern and they've simply blown me off saying I can adjust my seat to a different setting (hello, pre-existing back condition, it's not that easy). They've told us countless times "they're looking for a replacement" but it's been 3 weeks and the salesman has not returned any of my messages. The cars seem like a great value, the salesmen seem nice, but this all definitely come at a cost - your time and patience. I would not recommend dealing with this place unless you have LOTS of that!
