Today I had an oil change and I just ask the service section to grab the windshield washer fluid from my trunk and fill it. They told me I have to pay additional money just to pour the fluid which I bought already. It's so ridiculous. If I could do this in some other place I could get a better service for a cheaper price

Very disappointing service. Would not recommend. Edit in response to your comment: I did meet with your service manager today. I left feeling that I was misled and taken advantage of. He said he would follow up and did not. Going forward, hopefully something can be learned from this situation to prevent future customers from feeling the same.

Thought I had some issues with a trailing arm, turned out to just be the shield in front of it. They fixed it quickly, and threw in a free wash and vacuum! Feels like I've been taken care of pretty well here.

Dropped in unannounced needing an oil change before an unexpected road trip. These guys dropped everything and got me in and out in half an hour, only because I wouldn't let them wash and vacuum my car for free. If I did it would have taken an hour. Great service. Thanks guys.

I have a 2018 Hyundai Sonata, which while on holidays it went into limp mode. I was in the Kootneys 300 kms away from my home dealership. I ended up phoning Castlegar Hyundai, letting them know about my situation. I then had it flatdecked to Castlegar Hyundai all with in my warranty. I must I am extremely pleased with their services to help me get my car back on the road! Darryl in service is top-notch, walked me through what the problem maybe,and the part I needed was in stock. I most definitely will be recommending Castlegar Hyundai to anyone who is need of great service from all their staff. Again thank you very much!!!!!

We stopped in to this dealership on a trip. They had colours we wanted to see in person for a vehicle we were looking to buy. We had such a good experience with our salesperson, Christina, we decided to buy from this dealership rather the one we’d originally planned to purchase from. They were willing to negotiate on the sales price, had a low documentation fee and did not try to add “packages” to the sales price. The whole team was very accommodating for our unique circumstances. We would drive several hours again to deal with this team!

I bought a 2013 Tucson from this dealership, that had one of the engines that were defective, my engine failed and I had to get it replaced at my expense.Hyundai knew the engine was a problem as many customers were having fires or engine failure. A recall letter came out after a lot of customers spent money on repairs. I have been trying to get some refund for my cost ($6000 ), the work was done in my town which doesn’t have a Hyundai repair shop. I have been getting the run around, I email and get no reply unless I contact them many times, I call and ask for the service manager and end up talking to someone else, they ask for documents I send them I get no confirmation that they received it. Hyundai Canada is dragging their feet, even though they know the engines were defective. I owned Hyundai cars for 15 years, when I needed a vehicle I Hyundai was were I went. This is the last Hyundai I buy.

The folks at Castlegar Hyundai were very pleasant, courteous and knowledgeable. Our sales rep Christina was incredibly patient with us as we took our time test driving cars and asking questions - dozens of questions lol - before deciding the Sante Fe Ultimate was the perfect car for us. She even booked us a second walk through of the car's features on another day, when she saw how tired we were on the day we picked it up - Fantastic! And the Business Manager Corinne was so nice and helpful to us in picking options and doing the financing, without being at all pushy or snide - we loved that! Even the service guy Jeff was relaxed, helpful and friendly as we picked out our winter tires and booked our first service visit. Great team and great product all around!

Darryl was absolutely incredible guy to work with when our 2008 santa fe engine seized up and died. After one month of calling every mechanic in my town I could not find a better price for a refurbished engine with a warranty. I do the maintenance service of my car here all the time since i bought it brand new (a year ago) two months ago I brought my car to other service shop because I needed to go in Kelowna and my car is due for an oil change and this dealership was fully booked, then the technician found that the drain plug on the oil pan of my engine was loose and the oil was leaking. He said maybe a 1/4 of the oil was gone and the drain plug/bolt could be drop at any moment as it was too loose (good thing a make a judgement to do an oil change before the long drive.) If the oil was gone it could seized my engine. So the technician told me to go in Hyundai to complain about this incident. So I did. And what they said was "sorry, i hope you won't give up on us, I'll report this incident to our manager and he will call you for this matter". Two months just passed I never heard a word from them. I went there to change my tires last May 2, 2017 but a still no word from them.

Castlegar Hyundai has been renovating and expanding this past summer. They just finished and the new addition is gorgeous. If you shopping around for new wheels, I would highly recommend that you take a look around. What a refreshing experience it was dealing with Castlegar Hyundai. The overwhelmingly positive and courteous work environment led me to feeling at ease immediately. I was greeted by a lovely young woman who led me to her office where we began a conversation. My request was somewhat complicated. I was looking at different options to trade in/sell/downgrade/upgrade. I had come from another province and was still financing my vehicle. My sales rep spent hours with me and gave me multiple options as to how I could proceed. Because I was in there for so long, I met the whole team and realized that they are all like that. I was not a number. They genuinely had my best interest in mind, an uncommon feeling when dealing with the corporate world. My last car purchase from a non-Hyundai dealer in another province was unfortunately quite negative. I felt pushed, cornered, and taken advantage of. By the time I picked up my car I had tears in my eyes and felt foolish for ever trusting a large corporation to have my needs be their priority. It was difficult to enjoy my new car purchase because of the sour taste the company left me. Fast forward to my experience with Castlegar Hyundai and I couldn’t help but notice the stark differences. 1.) The communication process is top of the line. My representative explained what was happening. I never felt as though I was in the dark. 2.) The prices are very fair. My representative worked with my budget 3.) Everyone is genuinely nice. They seem to enjoy their job and the environment that they work in. 4.) There are no pushy sales techniques. They understand that you are making a big decision and want you to make it intelligently and confidently. In an era where counting on one another is more important than ever, it’s essential that we elevate businesses that are demonstrating authenticity and humanity. We often define corporate responsibility as the large gestures that organizations make in the field of innovation and technology. I would like to make a case that corporate responsibility is showing up for clients in the daily moments and making the little things count. This Hyundai dealership went above and beyond for us. My husband and I were on vacation traveling from Banff back to Vancouver and noticed we had a bulged tire. They took us in with little notice, and accommodated us as soon as they were able. Not only that but they were super friendly and suggested a great lunch spot near the river so that we could enjoy our day. What could have been a hassle for us to deal with in the middle of vacation, it was barely a blip. Enjoyed our lunch and got our car back cleaned, with a new tire AND they also took care of overdue updates we needed on our Elantra model. Fantastic service!

Terrible service. Worst Service I’ve ever had in my life. This dealership had my 2021 Santa Fe’ for more than a month and would only cover a small portion of my rental vehicle. I’m out $1,800! Because of this poor service and my new car breaking down three times, I’ll NEVER buy another Hyuandai. EVER!!! Poor quality and terrible service. Stay away.

Well....l love my Tuscon but the service here is very dissapointing! I booked my first oil change here, was told it would take 1/2 hr and my car got a free wash. It took 2 hrs and No wash, l came from out of town, so l was not impressed. Fast forward a couple of years, service is still poor. My back up mirror is not working at all. I made an appt a week ago and was told l had to come in so they could look at it, then order the parts and make another appt to come back. So, 3 1/2 wks for them to look at it, and apparently they are now booking into December.....so, looks like l may have this fixed by January, then again maybe not. This is a safety issue and l was just told they can't see to it any sooner. My response, l will never buy a vehicle here again! If they can't service your vehicle within a timely fashion, they do not deserve my business.

We purchased a second hand 2004 Honda CRV in May of 2016... We were told that the vehicle was in good shape mechanically; however within a couple of weeks we heard strange noises under the car so we decided to get a second opinion as to it's condition... After leaving the Honda dealership and spending 700.00 plus on brakes, callipers and whatever else was needed for safe driviing I returned to the CIA dealership unhappy with their dishonest business practices... The acting manager after photo- copying the bill informed me that he would talk to the powers to be and get back to me ... I never received any follow up conversation... A few months later I returned to see what could be done and was told that I should have brought the vehicle back to them to repair (yah right) At any rate they said nothing could be done. (Just suck it up princess!)... my quote. The conclusion of the matter is " If you want honesty, do not deal with car salesmen who speak out of both sides of their mouth...

My experience with Hyundai Castlegar was nothing short of incredible. At the beginning of July, my 2015 Tucson, with only 102K on it, broke down about two hours away from Castlegar, and I ended up having to tow it there. I had significant engine failure, and unfortunately had to leave my car there, as I needed to return home to Vancouver. During the next few weeks, I was battling with Hyundai CANADA, who were refusing to provide me any assistance regarding the repairs or even a rental vehicle, as the car was "just over the warranty". However, Darryl and his team at Castlegar really went to bat for me and advocated on my behalf, especially after I provided my service records and confirmation of Oil Changes. Long story short, after a few months of waiting on parts, Hyundai Castlegar fixed the engine free of charge, when it would have been thousand and thousands of repair on a still relatively new car. I want to thank Daryll and Hyundai Castlegar immensely. I'm very grateful for their assistance and patience when dealing with me calling them every second week for an update. The customer service was great, very nice staff. Though the "Service packages" are severely over priced. Was Charged $205 in Labor (my car was there 1.5 hours, so just under $140/hr) for a service, and $132.41 in parts that were listed as "complimentary". When bringing this up, I was simply told they do not have control over what the packages bill regardless of the time/parts actually used. Very disappointed in my $400 service :S! Not to mention the call I received during the service stating I needed $900.00 worth of work on my brakes/rotors, which was not the case. I assume this is where people who don't know much about cars cave in, and pay for the work that seems to sound urgent. Never paid more than $100 for service & parts for my pick up trucks at my friendly local mechanic's shops! Since we bought our car there, we thought keeping it serviced there would be a good idea, but we've learned our lesson!

We had an engine failure in a Tucson. Daryl in the service department of Castlegar Hyundai really helped us out! He really went the extra mile -- he applied for approval to have the engine replaced under warranty, even though it was slightly out of warranty period. Hyundai Canada approved it. He kept in touch with us to let us know the status of parts as they arrived. The repair was done correctly and he worked with us to get the car back to the Lower Mainland with a transport company. Great dealership experience. They made what could have been a real nightmare into an easy, professional experience. Thank you!

Finally I called the President and General Manager to ask him to look into it. Vehicle went in the shop that day. One star is too generous. The service was very disappointing. They will put your tires on great and sell you great tires though. Usually, a dealership has other services they offer me or suggestions for my vehicle this place let me drive off the lot with my steering wheel at a 30-degree angle. No one suggested a wheel alignment or anything. No one even asked to inspect my car. When the reason I was in there, was that I hit a boulder and damaged my tire and rim. I knew as soon as I drove off the lot that I would need an alignment. Or that is what I thought my car needed. I called around looking for a place to do an alignment and made two calls and both suggested getting an inspection as well because of the circumstance. I agree to the one place and brought it in. Turns out a lot more damage was done to my vehicle. My passenger tire (noticeably) sits further back than the other side. As well as having other damaged parts that now need replacing. They were surprised I drove off from Hyundai with such an intense pull which causes me to drive at such an angel. When I went back to Hyundai, to bring up everything, their excuse is "Well you didn't ask us to do that." Even after looking at my vehicle, they say "Oh yeah there is a difference." I have never had such poor service at a Hyundai dealership, where such little care and attention was given.

Last week I got into a car accident wich caused me to write it off and I needed a car asap.
