I brought my Dodge brand van in to the service department with a major issue and they were very accommodating for our short time frame. I also supplied the needed OE replacement parts. All they needed to do was take the faulty fuel pump off, put the new one on, and recommend any other imperative associated repairs. I was already away working when Chrysler finished their work three days later, which I thought was a reasonable amount of time considering the last minute request. There was no communication during the repair process and we had to call every day to get an update, even when it was finished! My wife picked up the van, paid the invoice, and all seemed well until around 80km down the road when the engine lost all power, made terrible noise, and leaked a pool of fluid into the parking area she could fortunately coast into without touching the gas. So was this catastrophic engine failure coincidence? I think it was the direct result of the work of Nanaimo Chrysler. When I got back to the van a couple days later, I looked at the invoice to try to see some details of the work Nanaimo Chrysler had done and any other parts they needed. There was absolutely no detail on the invoice; no labor time, no parts, no detail, nothing! Just the total to be paid. The mechanic who repaired Nanaimo Chrysler’s awful work determined it was clearly their fault, and made a detailed invoice noting all labor time, parts, and recommendations as any trustworthy mechanic should. I have contacted the service managers at Nanaimo Chrysler to at least get some invoice detail and ask about the problem and they do nothing but completely absolve themselves of the issue and will not even offer a more complete invoice. Why no detail on the invoice??? If the repair was done “by the book” as they have said, the invoice works out to $225/hr labor cost. What else did you do to take all that labor time and why don’t you want me to know??? Clearly we had a very poor experience with Nanaimo Chrysler and I would recommend finding a trustworthy establishment for your car service needs.

We are big family and I've spent 2 weeks researching minivan and 7-seats SUV market through out all BC. I've visited several places to check up my "on-line" list. My last place was Nanaimo Chrysler because people there didn't give me even one chance to continue my market review. I'm very prepared consumer with sales and marketing background and only positive combination of all factors can make me to take a decision. Unfortunately it seems I must part ways with Nanaimo Chrysler following several attempts to book and confirm a drive train repair for my truck. I'm sure it's not the staff, but their new automation that has me frustrated. I booked an appointment online and after a day or two, I wanted to confirm that my appointment was in fact booked. After having a discussion with a person through web chat, then an attempt at email, followed by a text I still did not get the answer. I am now going to find another private or dealer shop to perform the work. The only call I received was from the sales department. Not sure why service could not call back to confirm.

I purchased a vehicle new in 2002 and with only 10,000kms it was vandalized at their shop along with other vehicles. I was told the repairs would have to be placed on my insurance and they would cover the deductible. So I then drove a new car that had to be sanded down to bare metal and resprayed causing body metal perforations later in its life. Never been back to this dealer since. This and the salesman always harass my wife to buy a new vehicle even after saying no thanks

I had a good experience purchasing a used Dodge RAM from Nanaimo Chrysler. There were some minor repairs that needed to be done at the time of the sale, and although I ended up sharing some of the cost (disappointing), the repairs were done very quickly and professionally. I have purchased a few accessories, which I have been happy with, and the service department seems knowledgeable and attentive.

UPDATE: We have owned and enjoyed our Jeep for over three years now. For at least 1.5 of those three years we have received regular, repeated, incessant, sales calls, asking us to trade in our Jeep. Despite MANY requests for no more calls, despite being told by MANY managers that we are on a DO NOT CALL list, despite all of that - the spam calls continue. I have shared my experience and, it sounds like I'm not alone. The management team is new and, their methods are aggressive in the extreme and they take absolutely no notice of customer requests. If you are experiencing this spamming from the current Nanaimo Chrysler Team, please advise the Vehicle Sales Authority. ----------------------------------------------------- I want to say that I had absolutely NO intention of purchasing a Jeep when I brought my beloved VW Rabbit into Nanaimo Chrysler's body shop for repair work after an accident. The fact that I even GLANCED at a Jeep one Saturday was directly as a result of the excellent service provided by Bruce Robson, the body shop manager, as well as the enthusiasm of Ambyr at the front desk. I was in that day with a bit of an emergency and both of them helped me. If it wasn’t for that direct experience, I would still be driving my beautifully-repaired VW. As a result of that Saturday visit, as I was on my way out of the dealership, that I casually asked Brian McLean, another lovely low-pressure team-member, how much the Wranglers were. Well, one thing led to another and I, and my 16 year-old daughter (we’re sharing ownership until she takes over the loan in a few years time), are now very happy Jeep owners. Doug Green in the Finance Office was very thorough made things work very well for me. I’m a die-hard import buyer. Taking the leap to Jeep was very worrisome for me. So far I’m enjoying the ride immensely and I’m confident that, in the years to come, Nanaimo Chrysler will continue to treat me well as I come in for my regular service appointments. I can’t WAIT for my running boards to come in! Thanks again for everything. You have a great team there!

Absolutely wonderful staff! I have been going to dealership to dealership and Nanaimo Dodge were the only ones who made me feel like they could actually help me and not feel like just another transaction. I felt that they were very genuine and cared about what vehicle they put me in next. Dayle was the original source who brought me in to the dealership. He was unfortunately unavailable to make it in the day we had planned, and he kindly passed me along to Cameron to make sure I got taken care of. I went in and chatted with Cameron and we talked about what I wanted, what I can afford and what I would like in a vehicle in general. He put everything into consideration and we test drove some vehicles. Which ultimately landed me in my new car which I love! Cameron was very understanding in my needs and wants. John and Jerrett were also very very helpful and always greeted me the moment I walked in! EVERY TIME! :) They constantly made sure the deal was going smoothly and I was getting everything I needed! A shout out to Rachel! She was so wonderful and helpful in answering all my questions when it came to the final paperwork and warranty with my new vehicle! And you can’t forget about Keira! I always had such a negative perception of car dealerships being so pushy and just taking advantage of consumers, especially women BUT everyone who I had the pleasure of meeting at Nanaimo Chrysler was the polar opposite of that. Had running light bulbs replaced and one had a flicker. Stopped in without an appointment hoping for a quick bulb swap due to a faulty part. I was told if I came back after my errands they would check it out. Stopped in again around 430pm and Brent in service said everyone had gone home but managed to catch Peter to look at it. Turned out to be a coincidental flicker and was actually my fairly expensive HID headlamp bulb burning out. Now disassembled and no bulb in stock Brent asked if I could wait 20 min they would have one delivered. Peter stuck around to install it. What I thought was a nothing job with a faulty part ended up being a big ordeal but I was so happy to get the bulb replaced and the staff were great. Minimal charge.

I went in mid June 2021, it is now one day away from September 2021. I went to get my spare tire and jack replaced. I was informed that it will be in a week before I get it. I informed them that my leaver is broken for my driver seat and they would replace it. I took time off to get it fixed and pick up my spare tire and jack. It was not there again. they have no communication skills what so ever. I left a voice mail for the general manager to call me, as now I am not a happy customer. No phone call, just a text message saying he is working on it. Think it is time for me to find me a dealership that has time for my service, and can communicate with me. Time for a change of dealerships.

James and Alex were great. No pressure and very accommodating! Helped us find a great deal. NOTE; I was told to write that for a perk. Which was great and fine. However they tried to scam me in regards to my oil changes after the fact. My truck is supposed to be changed at 8000km but they called me at 5000 and told me it was what they did the first change so they can check it over etc. That’s fine right? At 10000km they called again and told me it needed changing. It’s synthetic oil And couldn’t fit their schedule and so I called a different location where it was revealed that they shouldn’t have done that and it’s not common dodge practice. It should have been at 8000km So I called the service dept in Nanaimo to talk about what I was told, where I talked with a rude man who lied and fed me BS trying to defend the 5000km policy they have. He hung up on me after I pointed out what the other dealership told me and I called the front desk asking to talk to james the manager. I was told he was in a meeting and would call me back in the afternoon. I called again at 4 and was told they would take a message. I asked for the corporate ph number and was told to hold on while she got it and then got patched through to the manager. Surprisingly available all of a sudden. He heard my case and apologized and refunded my oil change. That’s great and all but that should have been done in the first place and not given the run around. Plus, regardless if it’s their policy to do a change at 5000km they still were pressuring me Into the change at 10000km, that’s 6000km before my truck was supposed to go in according to manufacturers specs. Beyond that, it’s teh customer service that failed. These guys embody the classic greasy salesman. Hopefully someone else has a better experience but don’t trust them at all! I bought my truck nov 2017 and they have new ownership but not sure if Its since my incident in March.....

This is my first purchase at this store. My product adviser was most excellent, as was the general manager. James Crockett (GM) and Des Frederickson.(PA). Stay away from a man named Alex Lush. He lied to me, low valued my trades and basically treated me like a disposable rag when I stood up for my rights. It was a long 6 weeks of back and forth to get my situation corrected, and I needed to go to the very top on order to have it looked at. In the end, they made it right and took care of me. If Alex was not involved it would have been a 4 star review, but nothing was ever done during this 6 week episode, and his buddies I had to talk with. I ended up going to Chrysler Directly in order to get through to the GM.

Went to pick up my vehicle, at the end of the day, only to have them tell me they could not perform either recall, because they did not have any parts in stock. I purchased a vehicle from this dealership approx 3 month ago with a bumper to bumper warranty that was upwards of $4000.00. 2 weeks after purchasing the vehicle ( 2017 low milage) we noticed that the door panels were falling away from the doors. Upon further investigation we were informed that this has been an ongoing issue since 2012. Nanaimo Chrysler is telling me this is not covered under warranty. I have tried to contact them many times over the last 2 weeks and keep getting promises of someone getting back to me. No one is ever in and no one has called me back. I realize that the Harris's own this dealership, if Jack or Tom were still with us they would look after this matter promptly, instead they have my money now and I am getting nothing but a run around and they want me to go away. Promises, promises, promises. Good luck with this dealership!!

My Kizashi had it's first service last Wednesday. He loved it and feels very lively now. The work was completed on time, the service staff were great and best of all, it was 50% off! It all started by being told I have rocks in head..actually being told that the grinding squealing noise coming from our front wheels was rocks in the treads !! After another visit which cost us money and still did not resolve the noise issue, I told them that I was going to take our van for a second opinion. I came in for recall service as unfortunately this is the only place on the Island for a Suzuki recall. During the recall a part broke. It takes a week for the part to come in and I live out of town. So a scramble for a courtesy car happened, which thankfully was resolved which was awesome on their part. But then I get a call telling me I owe them money for the part they broke with the rationale was that the part was old and should have been replaced anyhow. I would have been fine if I came to them for this part to be replaced, or had a call from them when the mechanic discovered this part could be a complication, and gave me an option to stop and proceed with a mechanic of my choice closer to home. This was not done. Bad Business guys. I get that I may be dispensable as a repeat customer, but this mishandling of a recall service to me is unacceptable.

So, further to my comment from last Saturday. Once again Nanaimo Chrysler has done it again, or rather, not done it again. The transmission on the truck is still leaking. They are useless and totally inept. We've had it inspected & there it is; still leaking. All we get is, "we've to wait for the service manager to get back from vacation". Another scathing letter to the owner who hasn't actually answered the first one, just a letter from someone saying they will get back to us. So now it's a letter to Chrysler Canada to tell them how useless Nanaimo Chrsyler's service department is. The transmission was fine until they serviced it. This letter is being sent out on the internet by a friend of mine the lives in Nanaimo.

Initial problem from error code diagnosed as defective recirculation valve. Valve replaced but then experienced intermittant secondary code. Problem traced to chafed cable harness. Wire repaired and problem resolved. Initial quote was for $300 range but final cost over $500. Satisfactory explanation given. Although overall cost quite high, I am satisfied with the service. We took our 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan into Kal Tire to have a flat repaired and they told me I needed brakes, rotors pads & calipers replaced and gave me a quote for $800. I said thank you and immediately took it to Nanaimo Chrysler, where we bought the van less than five months previously Their service writer told me I likely didn't need calipers replaced (Kal Tire was trying to sell me service I didn't need), but if I did they would be covered under warranty, which I was unaware that I had. Because I supposedly had a warranty for part of the work that might have been needed, I didn't feel the need to get further quotes and scheduled the service. I wish I had known they write warranties with disappearing ink! The next day after I dropped the van off and the shuttle took me home I was phoned by their service writer who told me that the warranty expired a couple of weeks ago and that my van did indeed, need calipers. It took me a minute to realize that I had been sold service in bad faith after I hung up with the service writer. In the end of the day, whether this was limitation of the system, or eschewing of facts by the service writer in order to get work, the trust was broken. If a warranty had not been a factor, I would have certainly solicited more quotes. This is sufficient reason not to go back. In addition to this all of this work was needed less than five months after purchasing the van from Nanaimo Chrysler, having been "safety inspected" before our purchase.

Bought a used Tacoma off these guys, the price was great I will give them that. How ever the back up camera wasn’t working. I had to replace both the front brakes and rotors as they machined the old rotors and there was a Gouge in it. Rather than doing the right thing with replacing them they went with a cheap cost efficient method. I brought the parts in to the sales manager he had the service manager come in the office, the service manager told me that the pads were still usable even know there was a gouge in those pads and that all I had to do was take some emery cloth and sand them down. Based on that alone I will never do Business with this establishment again.

Updating my review as the staff has changed quite a bit and the two times I've been back were handled really efficiently. Recently bought a challenger off Tyler and Rex is now sales manager. We were really well taken care of. Definitely happy with the staff as of June 2021 Salesman Rex is personable and fantastic, the sales manager John is great. Unfortunately the others aren't, and the service department is worse. My wife was looking for a wrangler for us and rex and John were doing good work, the next day a different sales manager was there and kept trying to push my wife on a patriot which we specifically said we had zero interest in as she was trading a car, that sales manager wasted hours of her time and Rexes time. The next day john was in and they made it work which was great. Their service department is awful. Beyond awful. First apt they threw in conventional oil instead of synthetic and when i mentioned it I was told its only a 15$ difference and its not a big deal. They didn't seem to understand that taking payment for a service and delivering an inferior service is a scam, theft and a crime. Another time my wife had an apt to being my other jeeo in for service as I was away for work and could not and was told she could take a rental car as they needed it during the morning when she was at work. When my wife showed up the rental agent wouldn't give her a rental because the car was in my name and it was my visa, even though we share the same last name and same address and it turned into a huge complication. We've also been waiting FOUR MONTHS on a tire replacement from the tire warranty that we prepaid for. 1/4 of a year is an unacceptably long time to be waiting for a 250$ tire replacement that you literally prepaid for when you purchased the vehicle. We will be going elsewhere in the future and if Rex is here or at another dealership we'll happily deal with him again.

The phone etiquette is quite terrible as well, just plain RUDE!... I hate having to call there to make appointments because I know I will get off of the phone in a bad mood from being treated the way I am. The crew working at the Nanaimo dealership avoided us, NEVER returned phone calls and could never give us a straightforward answer (they always just said "it's a go and we will call you right back). Never did. This happened multiple times. Even with the Sales Manager Prince George location was absolutely fantastic and sent me my van complementary and full detailed. Would never recommend this dealership. As soon as I was locked into my new jeep there was a serious decline in customer service. After just three months my grandfather took my jeep in to be serviced I was charged $300 dollars for my first service which is absolutely ridiculous as it was supposed to be included in my contract not only was the price extremely high they mentioned my brand new jeep being out of alignment and not being able to rotate my tires because I apparently had the piece to loosen the bolts at home in the package they gave me. I dont know what type of mechanic shop doesnt have a tool to work on a vehicle from their dealership. When I complained to multiple people at the dealership about the inconvenience and annoyance of this service there was an appointment scheduled to make amends however when I arrived for the scheduled appointment there was no one available for the meeting. The entire experience has been frustrating and I would never recommend anyone to purchase a vehicle from this lot. If anyone is looking to trade in or purchase new I highly recommend seeing Troy Harder at Ford he has been nothing but helpful throughout this entire experience and their dealership has really gone the extra mile to make amends for something that has nothing to do with them. I will not do any further business with Chrysler as it is a complete money scam taking advantage of clients who they feel wont notice or know any better. Pretty horrible taste in your mouth being stuck in a contract with them for 8years.

This place is a bunch of crooks. Touch screen stopped working in my '13 dodge ram. Took it in here to see what was wrong. They took my truck for about 15 minutes, figured I needed a brand new radio, quoted me for $1500 and also charged me $60 for 15-20 minutes of "work", while they did absolutely nothing to it. I then went to Woodgrove dodge down the road, walked in without an appointment, they "updated" my radio, FREE OF CHARGE, and everything worked fine. Pretty pissed off to say the least with Nanaimo Chrysler, I tried complaining and that only gets a person so far, so I had to write this review. DO NOT GO HERE.

We got to talking and by the end of the day I was sold and very pleased with the customer service Cameron provided. I had been searching for a vehicle for weeks prior. Cameron and Rachel at Nanaimo Chrysler listened to my needs and accommodated as necessary as I live very far away. They were quick to reply more often than not. Communication with them was satisfactory. Upon delivery of the vehicle there was old tape glue on the passenger window and driver side windshield along with a coffee bean on the back seat which was disappointing. However Nanaimo Chrysler and Cameron Adams are where you should take your business. If I had known my Grand Caravan was so useful I would have bough one years ago. I did drive Station wagons in the mid seventies when my kids were young and loved them but since then I guess I forget how much fun it is to have SPACE. My purchase happened when my wife found it difficult to get in and out of my previous small car. I stopped at Nanaimo Chrysler to have a look and I was treated so well that I purchased the car within an hour or so. I had purchased a small car because I was looking for fuel economy. I am now surprised that my Grand Caravan is almost as economical as my small car, which was only 8 months old. This past week end I drove from Nanaimo to Victoria and back and the fuel consumption was 8.1/l per 100km. I have been going to Nanaimo Chrysler regularly for oil changes and maintenance service on my Fiat 500 C - I am impressed with the Front Desk Staff and their knowledge and efficiency. My recent visit had some hiccups but Brent, Front Desk Manager, handled it professionally and with humility. and the outcome was satisfactory. Some concerns were also handled with understanding by Sally McIntosh and I felt she heard what I was saying. I have a huge shoutout to the amazing gentlemen who drives the shuttle. He is professional and friendly at the same time, and he makes my visit even more delightful. He's a keeper! My one suggestion is that following wheel rotation that the note on the bottom of the invoice should be highlighted for those of us that may just scan their invoice and miss the note there - or even better for the service department to verbally verify that re-torquing is necessary after 50 km. Just saying...... lol

Recently purchased a vehicle from Nanaimo Chrysler but was disappointed with the high pressure sales approach and dishonest service I received. After a lot of discussion I managed to 'talk them down to a price' which I later noticed was the same price they were advertising on there LED sign. They later added the price of the warranty to the offer sheet, making the sale price higher than what was agreed to without talking to me. In fact they even went over additional warranty options with me without disclosing they automatically tried to sign me up for the $2,500 'basic' warranty. In addition, they verbally offered me a financing rate of 4.1% but when I sat down to sign the offer sheet I noticed the financing was listed at 6.9%. No one went over these details with me they simply expected me to sign the sheet without reading it. Finally, the car they sold me was different then the one I test drove. We test drove a grey Grand Caravan which I thought I was purchasing but when they went to get it for me they brought out a red one. While I ended up buying in the end it was not an enjoyable experience and I would not recommend to a friend.

I have a 2012 Dodge Ram that I take in religiously for service with Cam and the team at Nanaimo Chrysler. They are always friendly, and I don't ever feel like I am being taken advantage of. Care is always taken to ensure I get to where I need to go when my truck is in for service and they are extremely accommodating when it comes to my hectic schedule. Last time round, I needed to grab my truck while it was still in the service bay to get to an appointment, they rushed to get me into the truck so that I could make the appointment and told me to pop back in for the air filter that still needed to go in. I made it back in a few days later and they finished up! Now, THAT'S SERVICE!

I went to trade in my vehicle on a new grand caravan. I put a deposite down on a vehicle and agreed on $250 biweekly payments. After taking the ferry to get there I find out they sold the van on me and the new deal made my payments jump up to 465 biweekly. I sat in the waiting room for 2hr before they even told me the van I was coming to get was sold even after I put a deposit down on it to hold it. Will never return there again. We've tried all the local Dodge dealerships and none compare to Nanaimo Chrysler. Simply put, they are the BEST Dodge dealership on the island. Over the last two years, we have at various times, serviced 5 different vehicles with them and never once were we charged unnecessary expenses like 'shop supplies' etc. Even when there has been snafu's (and yes, there always are some complications when doing business) they are responsive and communicative, even when the onus isn't on them to do so. We've also purchased 3 vehicles from them over the last year and a half and we wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Dwayne is the superstar of sales people, he makes us laugh, knows his vehicles inside and out and always works to get us the best deal....and we aren't the easiest people to make a deal with! The Neal's take a great deal of pride in their business and it shows. It also makes a big difference to the customer experience before AND after the purchase, which is so refreshing in this day and age. Yup, simply put, it's the best place to buy a vehicle on the island!

I thought I wrote a review when I bought my first vehicle there, but it's not here. Now I'm on my 2nd so I thought I'd take the time to write one now. We had a van with a cracked block, 10 days before Christmas 2019. With 4 kids, we needed a new van and needed the right one for us. We went to every dealership in Nanaimo with an open mind as we didn't have a brand preference. Kia, Mercedes, Toyota, Honda and even went to VW to look at an Atlas. At ALL if the dealerships we felt unwelcome, with the exception of Nanaimo Chrysler. Adam and Nate "tag teamed" us and Nate took us on a test drive. Low-pressure for both. Adam answered my questions and Nate answered my better half's questions. We weren't intending on buying that day and they didn't pressure us to, either. When my wife mentioned we wanted to take the kids out to look at Christmas lights as it was our tradition, but couldn't due to our second vehicle being too small for 4 kids, Adam said he would find a way to get us a van for the night so we could take the kids out. We bought the van that afternoon. 2019 Chrysler Pacifica S and we paid less than the sticker. Fast forward 5 months later and I found myself in need of another vehicle to go to work with. I went in and Adam introduced me to Patrick as Nate was away on parental leave. Went in with the intention to look at a used SUV, left with a 2020 Jeep Wrangler and the payments were better for me. Nate even called a few weeks later to make sure Patrick took care of me and congratulate me on the new Jeep. The guy has anew baby and he's congratulating me...how's that for a personal touch? Not only have I recommended Nanaimo Chrysler to my friends and family, I insist they at least call when they're in the market for another vehicle because the guys there can find what you need. Last thing to mention. I had bad credit. Timing couldn't have been worse. They made it work for us and I'd do it again. tl:dr: Low pressure and they'll get you into the right ride, even if your credit sucks.

We have been Chrysler people for some time, we already have a Chrysler Town & Country which we consider to be the most versatile vehicle one could ever own, We could have used a second vehicle on different occasions and I've always had a liking for the Fiat Abarth going back the sixties when I saw them race in the UK. We met up with Rick, on of the salespeople at Neil's Nanaimo Chrysler, who showed us the available Fiats on the lot and we test drove both the Cabrio and the Abarth. Just awful. Bought a 2019 Hyundai last week, but the front brake started making a noise. Called Nigel my salesman on Monday to see if I could bring it the next day since they documented a brake service done before purchase. I was told to bring it in at 9:30am. On arrival there was one service writer with his head buried in a computer. Without looking up he stated someone would be with me. Shortly after another service writer appeared saw me waiting, grabbed a clip board stating he would be back and then disappeared on to the shop floor. After he finally returned I communicated why I was there, he said it was going to be awhile to which I said pointing to the waiting area, I would wait over there. His answer to that was we are really behind,you need to leave it with us. That was not what I was told, and since I drove down from Parksville, that wasn't possible. Texted my salesman the situation, but he never responded. This company is not focused on post sales care, once they have your money they're done with you. Another top tip, when you prepare a car for resale, and you find one tire needs replacing due to wear don't cheap out and replace the one tire leaving mismatched tires, that in not safe or a quality used car. Now I have to replace the rest, my bad because I missed it. What else did you fail to do? There are lots of other quality places to drop your money.

This dealership was unbelievable and a pleasure to work with right from the moment we stepped in. Alex the sales manager introduced us to a clean cut salesperson named Brandon Marcotte. He was very polite and not for one moment did we feel rushed. He noticed we were in an older Jeep. He did ask us if we would consider trading that vehicle in but we said we would prefer to sell it privately. He proceeded to show us what was in our price range and told us about some of the new things these Jeeps had to offer us. The Jeep we were offered to take home that evening was not the one we choose. We bought that one back to the dealership the next day and asked if they could get one in the darker charcoal tone. Brandon quickly located one then we talked price. After an hour or so working with Alex the sales manager the finance lady and Brandon we were so pleased and did end up using old older Jeep that had served us so well as a trade. If you want to throw away money this is the place to go. There offer on a trade is was $13,000 less than two other Chrysler dealerships. When asked what black book was on the vehicle they said they don't go by that. On top of that, they are advertising vehicles with added options at discount prices. If you go in to check it out they will try and tell you it is a mistake. In fairness, when i mentioned the term "bait and switch" they said they would honor the price. All in all I wouldn't trust a word out of their mouths, and I definetly would not trade in a vehicle here unless you feel like giving away money.

We were driving to Vancouver Island on holidays when the brakes on our 2015 Dodge Ram unexpectedly went. We had warning lights, leaking brake fluid and some really serious smoke and smell. Needless to say, we were quite concerned. We called the dealer and they managed to get us in later the same day. The truck would need to stay overnight and repairs couldn’t be completed until the next day. However, every single person we dealt with in Service were beyond excellent. They were friendly, courteous and professional. Thanks to Sam (who booked the appointment), Lexi (the service rep we dealt with) and Mike (the mechanic who even showed us the issues and let us take some pics). Now, with nothing but time on our hands, e even looked at trading in the truck on a new one…and while very tempting, we just couldn’t justify it at this time. The sales guy, Cole, we dealt with was super friendly and spent so much time with us, even when we assured him we were just going to repair our truck. There was never any pressure and he was very empathetic to our interrupted vacation. And either in an attempt to close the deal, or just because they have truly great service, Cole and the Sales Manager (Ben) even arranged for us to test drive the new truck overnight, so we could get to a hotel and back to the dealer the next day. So if that isn’t exceptional service, I don’t know what is. I think when we’re ready to trade in, we might even justify another trip to Nanaimo to deal with this group of exceptional people. I would highly recommend them for sales and/or service. Update: we traded in and Vince and Shae were awesome to help push the deal over the finish line. So excited. And broke. Just kidding. Got a great deal.

No pressure from Cameron, friendly guy understood the finance requirements and didnt try and get us into anything way outside the budget. Hands down, worst dealership ever. Were told had a prime rate approval at 4.29% on a new 2018 Jeep Rubicon, were to sign and pick up the vehicle. A control number to get the vehicle at dealer cost was emailed to them directly from Chrysler Canada while we were on our way to sign. Suddenly, that 2018 Jeep Rubicon isn't available, there aren't any other new 2018's, they will submit a 2019 to the bank. The dealership then says that the best approval they could get we needed $9000 down and a co-signer because the bank shortened the term on the approval when the 2019 was submitted. even though with the control number the vehicle was $10000 cheaper, which clearly makes no sense. When asking for more detail (which apparently isn't allowed)Jason Neal spewed out numbers so fast that I couldn't keep up, when I asked him to show me on paper so that I could follow he started slamming the pen down on the paper, it was quite shocking. A few days later, we were told that a new 2018 Jeep sport came in and was within the approval. We went the next day to check it out. For the next week or so, we were constantly told that they were waiting to hear back from the bank. Finally went in to see what was going on, only to find out that they hadn't even submitted the 2018 Jeep sport that we had apparently been waiting to hear back from the bank on. I sent and email that night asking then to resubmit to the original bank who had issued the original approval, since we are now looking at a new 2018 Jeep just like the original approval, which is now cheaper due to the control number. I received an email back Friday asking me to call. Which I did. I was then told that the original approval never existed, but they would contact the bank and call me back by the end of the day. When I didn't hear back, I called the next morning (Saturday) at 9am and asked that the finance woman call me back, she didn't. I called at 12:30pm left a message for her to call me back, she didn't. Went to another dealership, got an approval within minutes. Tried calling Nanaimo Chrysler at 5:55pm, was told that the finance woman would call me back before she left, but she didn't. Decided to drive to Duncan and visit Duncan Chrysler on Monday after work. Got a call the next morning from Duncan Chrysler that we could come and pick up the new 2019 Ram 1500 pick up truck that we had picked out the day before, which we did. Interestingly enough, the approval was almost identical to the one that Nanaimo Chrysler said never existed. Clearly, Nanaimo Chrysler didn't want to honour the control number available to the people who build Chrysler vehicles and their families, yet they want us to buy from them. More than 2 weeks wasted trying to give Nanaimo Chrysler the benefit of the doubt while they kept saying they were "waiting to hear back from the bank" (which NEVER takes that long), and were treated like pests. Duncan Chrysler had it wrapped up in 4 business hours and treated us like family from the moment we walked into the door.

Unbelievable customer experience. I buy a truck every 3 to 4 years for work. I had never dealt with Nanaimo Chrysler in the past. Not only did I get the best price on the entire island with out even asking for it (I checked), the experience was very friends and family feel. My experience was great! I didn't feel like I was being presured. The staff were knowledgable, and sensitive to my needs and wants. I love my new Journey. Its stylish and practical. I love all the space I have, its roomy without being a boat to drive. My only complaint was how long it took. I felt things could have flowed a bit smoother, and shortened the waiting period. All in all I was pleased with the service I received and I would deffinatly reccomend them to friends.

Bought a used Tesla from this dealership with the expectation that they would be providing a Scrap-it token, and if that failed I could return the vehicle at the beginning of July. Due to their lack of understanding of the Scrap-it process this did not happen, and neither did any attempt to make up for lying to make a sale due to a missing incentive. Was told multiple times that a manager would call, and after visiting the dealership, calls, and leaving messages for the management team still have not heard a word from anyone. Was happy with my purchase on the date made, and am still happy with the vehicle, but the experience with Nanaimo Chrysler could not have been more painful. Would not recommend doing business with this group if it requires anything for them to follow-up on or if you plan on having a longterm relationship.

Biught a brand new truck being told warranty was bumper to bumper. 6 months fake chrome rims began to delaminate from plastic. Asked to get replacement or credit for new after market rims. Management refused to do either and told me it was NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. THIS STEALERHIP IS CRAP. BE AWARE WERE YOU SPEND YOUR MONEY. A good tire change is not indicative of a good company!

I bought a used truck and found that the air con had to be serviced as there was a leak. I met with service manager and he was to order parts then get back to me with a date to service the truck. I’ve been waiting four weeks and even after sending emails to the general manager and service manager they have not returned my call. Once they have your money they do not provide service or even respond to complaints THIS COMPANY GETS A FAT “0” FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I bought a used 2017 Ford f150 thay told me it was safe but there was 3 recalls on it. There excuse was that we dont have access since it's a ford. All I did was put the vin in the ford website less then 5 min of work. There replied we looked at carfax and had there mechanic look over the truck. STILL NOT SAFE

We nervously drove from Maple Ridge to the Island to purchase a vehicle from Rick at "Neil's Nanaimo Chrysler". He had contacted us to let us know they had a vehicle that we may be interested in. It was a 2010 Suzuki Grand Vitara Limited V6 with very low k. When we arrived it was better than we could have expected, he got us a very fair price and I would not hesitate to recommend anyone to purchase a vehicle from him. He really made it feel like he was working for us, not the other way around. The whole dealership gave us first class service including the finance department. My visit for service did not get off to a great start. Although I was assured when I booked my appointment that I'd be able to wait for it since they'd only need my car for "an hour or so" to diagnose the problems, when I arrived for my appointment (which had been booked over a week in advance and had to wait an extra 15 minutes to be served), I was told it was going to take over 2 hours for them to get a chance to look at my car. Fortunately, in the end, they honoured their original promise, were very communicative with what needed repairing and what it would cost to fix and had me back on the road by lunch time. The necessary repairs are pending the arrival of parts, so we'll see how things go then...

Harris owned dealers are thieves and have always been thieves. Sad that it was sold to them. I bought a brand new 2012 from them when it was Neals and recieved excellent service. There was some minor inconveniences I wish didn’t happen , But in the end they did their jobs and got me a car .. Bought a used 2015 ram 1500 limited. Couple months down the road I'm dealing with mirrors not folding in anymore and I had a pretty severe leak. Upset I drove to chrysler to show them that my 10 month old daughter was getting showered with water through speaker in the roof. The salesman assured me they would handle it for me because of the situation and not owning the truck long from them. I showed up happy that they would help me like that. Once I got to the dealer the salesman walked me to service where they had the pleasure of telling me that I would have to pay to fix it. I was so happy when I bought it but once they had my money the service I expected had gone out the window. I took my business to woodgrove chrysler where they handled the situation very well! Finding time on Christmas eve to get it done for me. Woodgrove has figured the problem is my sunroof seal which costs 70$ and an hour of labour. If nanaimo just handled like they said they would I wouldn't be writing this. Nanaimo doesnt even care that they've lost my business forever and anyone else I talk to. Never again. Go to woodgrove for a dodge jeep or ram.
