We have had the pleasure of visiting Dave and the team at Harris KIA once again. In December it was for snow tires, this time a new 2018 Sportage EX Tech. We cannot say enough about how the entire team bent over backwards to ensure we were well looked after and our needs met. We came from the Lower Mainland to shop at Harris KIA, well worth the trip. I am not really sure I can capture the delight we experienced, words do not capture it. Jag our sales consultant did not pressure us, rather treated us with respect and listened to what our needs were. We did know the features we wanted! Once we had made our decision the colour we really wanted was not one they had in stock. They found one and had it brought over. We did not have to wait for weeks to get the Sportage we really wanted, they had it on the lot the next day. Thanks guys. We also had a trade in We had been looking around in the Lower Mainland and had received some quotes, Dave and the gang did not disappoint. The only thing we could say was "done deal!" We can only say this was one of the best experiences we have had purchasing a new vehicle. We definitely recommend Harris KIA and are sharing the good word with all those we know who are in the market. Well done guys, and thank you!

We decided to try out Harris Kia in Nanaimo because my wife and I were not that impressed with Graham Kia. Once we arrived at Harris Kia, Rachel approached us and right away everything was friendlier and better than Graham. We talked about us trading two cars for a 2013 Kia Soul 4U Luxury and right away the numbers were way better than Graham. After a few days of emails, we came to an agreement, and one week after our first visit we bought that car. Rachel is definitely our "car gal" and it was a pleasure dealing with her as well as Jeremy and we highly recommend making the trip to see them. It was well worth the drive.

We had a great experience. The staff was great and we are happy with our new Sedona. If I had to find any flaws I would say: 1. The lot is smaller so not a huge selection, but it's decent. 2. There was a little bit of a wait to finalize our sale because there was another person there before us paying with cash (who does that?) so they wanted to get the cash dealt with quickly (understandable). It wasn't an unreasonable wait either. There wasn't anything negative about the experience. We were not pressured with extras, they explained everything completely, and answered all our questions. Would absolutely recommend Harris Kia.

While I absolutely recommend Sara as your future go-to Sales Associate, we were unable to close the deal for a pre-owned SUV, possibly due to unrealistic expectations on our part, but also perhaps due to some miscommunication. We believed we had made crystal clear what our absolute maximum was, and I just wish the managers told us from the beginning that our price was unrealistic. The initial "offer" from management was 'way over our max price, and so at that point (and we had been waiting a good while already) it was simply time to try to say 'thank you' to Sara and goodbye.

We'd been searching for the "perfect" car for a year, and amazingly enough we ended up with the same salesperson that we started with. We were prodded gently to consider various vehicles but not to the point of insisting. We know how frustrating customers like us can be as we like to do lots of research and comparisons before deciding on a vehicle to buy. We got a call from Cameron about the Niro arriving in Nanaimo and we made an appointment with him, test drove it, got some quotes and decided to buy it. The next day we were assisted in completing the purchase. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and willing to give us advice as requested. This made our car buying experience much more pleasant than we had anticipated.

These are amazing people, without exception ...the receptionists at the desk, the salespeople, the technicians, every single person in the Nanaimo location that I've dealt with on multiple occasions has left an impression: I wonder what would it be like if people demonstrated this caliber of service, mindfulness and consideration everywhere?! A friend had her snow tires installed here last week, and she's still in awe, too. Really. Think about that. Until you know the difference, that statement sounds like "I got winter tires put on my car." But go here, and that statement changes. "I'm so impressed! I got tires put on my car at Harris Kia, and--" Don't take my word for it. Go, and you'll understand what I mean.

Rachel impressed us with her knowledge of the Kia product line, and does a very good demo of the car's capabilities on the test drives. We ordered a hubcap that costed us $150 bucks 3 days ago. We prepaid for it on a credit card. They were supposed to call us but never did. We asked to get the charges reversed but instead told us we need to pay a restocking fee. We were leaving friday morning for our flight. Poor service altogether.

I was warmly welcomed by Cameron when I entered the lot and from then on all my questions were welcomed and answered without feeling any sales pressure. When. I came back to purchase my Soul the feeling was the same and overall my experience was great. Lots of laughs and I am very happy with my purchase. The staff at Harris Kia that I dealt with are amazing! Keep up the good work! Edit after I purchased my Kia I had an accident a year later that totalled my car I had replacement value insurance so I thought I would be covered . Unfortunately my original salesman had left to go to another dealership but he recommended another salesman. After numerous emails and conversations on the phone trying to get my insurance figured out with a salesman that wasn't educated in my policy and didn't listen to my concerns before making the 4 hour trip that I had to organize with a friend . I wanted my own financing and as close to.the same vehicle I could and that my insurance said I could have . The first choice that I was entitled to and he was excited to offer me was sold to someone else so the next in line was a model and color that I wasn't particularly enthusiastic about but felt pressured to take as i was told that was my only option. I felt disheartened and anxious to be paying $35000 before interest for a vehicle that I wasn't excited about like my last one. I had planned on addessimg this when i got to Naniamo. Fortunately i asked my friend to wait a bit before leaving. The paperwork hadn't been started and now financing was an issue without my co signer. I was frustrated as I had asked before if it would be an issue and was led to believe that I was good to go especially seems how I had $7000 to put down on it from my insurance. I was told that possibly i could lease which isnt what i wanted or thought i was going to have to do. My friend had a babysitter that I had paid for along with gas and lunch and she had to get back to pick him up . We ended up spending 5 or 6 hours at the dealership and I went home without a car. I was promised they would find a solution and get me into a new Soul. I also wanted to cancel my disability insurance which after reading the policy thought it was too narrow of a spectrum of reasons they would accept a claim . I was told that it would be better just to transfer it when I got my new car. I had had surgery and was recieving Workers Compensation while I healed and was able to get back to work. Unfortunately my surgery was a failure and I was told I would have to have another. Two weeks earlier my Mom died of cancer after being sick for a long time. Everything was falling apart in my world. I wasnt able to get financing until I was back at work . The salesman contacted me a month later asking if I was ready to get my new car now. Needless to say I was pretty much fed up at this point and explained that my situation was the same and after my last experience with the dealership and lack of organization which wasted my time and money to travel with the promise things were ready to go I wasn't too happy with the way I was treated and the experience left me very frustrated especially with the Salesman who hadn't listened to my concerns in the first place. After I sent that email I never heard from him again and that was really not what I was expecting. I had at least hoped for an apology from him for wasting my time and money due to him not listening to my situation and being pushy about me taking a car I didn't like instead of finding a solution to my problem and at least trying to get me a car I liked. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism that I experienced the second time around. I ended up losing the money for the car $7000 as well as the refund I should have recieved for my disability insurance I asked to cancel. If I was ever to buy a Kia again I would not go to this dealership. They showed me that I wasnt worth the effort to try to help me and left me without a car and i lost thousands of dollars that I was entitled to receive.

I was thoroughly impressed with the service I received while I was dealing with the staff at this dealership. The salesman, Marcello, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was easy to talk to and I didn't feel the least bit pressured by him. He took my husband and I out for a fantastic test drive, so we could both get a really good feel for how the car handled in all types of situations. I would certainly recommend this dealership and specifically Marcello to anyone who is looking to purchase a vehicle.

Cameron went over and above what you would expect to make you completely happy with your purchase. If you have any unanswered questions he will get you the answer. He introduced us to the service manager as well, which gave us a "looked after feeling" when there was a question he could not answer. Cameron is very friendly, informative, and has a great work ethic. We could not decide between a Murano or Sorento but Cameron made the decision easy with knowledge and a better product. LOVE our new Sorento ! ! !

unfortunately I had a very bad experience here at Nanaimo kia. When I was first went in to look at vehicles I put down a deposit and made an appointment to come back the following monday to finalize the sale, when I arrived my salesman was on his day off, no one was prepared for our meeting and we were asked to come back at a later time. when we went back again, they told us they were still waiting to hear back from the bank about financing and they finally asked us to come back again another day and they would have everything ready for us. we ended up having to come back 7 times as the dealership and employees did not seem to care for our personal time. We had told the finance manager since day 1 that if financing was gonna take to long or have high interest rate we would pay for the car in full right away but instead she wasted our time and we ended up with no financing. After having my new 2015 car for only 3 months the cars engine broke down and needed 6-7 thousand dollars in repairs. We went back to the dealership in hopes to get some type of reimbursements but instead they were arrogant and told us it had been to long and there was nothing they could do. I'm very disappointed in this dealership and the employees, I purposely bought from a dealership to avoid issues like this but ended up having more issues then I've ever ha with a vehicle.

After having trouble finding the trim and colour of EV we wanted in Victoria, along with some disappointing service, we went to Harris Kia in Nanaimo. They had exactly what we were looking for, didn't try to charge us extra for things we didn't need, and the vehicle was even priced a little less than in Victoria. Dave, the manager, also went above and beyond to help us out with our old vehicle, this really saved the day. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new vehicle!

My parents had their Kia maintained and serviced here. When the ownership changed over to me, I stayed with Kia for continuity. As a student on a tight budget, their service environment quickly declined from cheery and helpful, when I could no longer afford the $1000+ estimate for services every time that I went. I am a firm believer that it is important to invest in my vehicle, but I quickly became privy to the fact that they were taking advantage of me, and my little knowledge of vehicles. My last service check with Kia, before a long road trip, they came back to me with a $1700+ estimate of services that *needed* to be done before my trip. Not prepared to drop my *entire* trip budget on my car 2 days before leaving, I was swindled into believing that my "u-joint had play" and that it was a huge safety risk. I felt intimidated, and clueless, so I reluctantly paid just over $700 to have it replaced - however I requested to have the faulty part returned, and for them to demonstrate the issue (which they actually couldn't replicate when they tried because there "was no weight on it"). My most recent discussion with Kia was about the work they did under warranty, replacing the transmission in this vehicle before It was sold to me. There is a clear history of transmission problems, and even after the replacement, the issues are not fixed, the transmission has been leaking since installation, but there is no warranty on their services. None of these transmission issues were brought up in my pre-trip check over, oddly enough... I have, hands-down, had the most intimidating, belittling, and dishonest service at Harris Kia, and I will never recommend them to anyone. Talking on the phone with the service department is like receiving a lecture. I happily recommend Fountain Tire, instead. They are quite literally the polar opposite in their practices, and I'm even able to learn from them, as they complete the job!

After shopping five other dealers, we returned to purchase at Kia. The Rondo was just more exciting than the other cars, with loads of features, advanced technology toys and a smooth ride. Marcelo was gracious, friendly and knowledgeable in helping us understand about the many features. He helped us into the right car for our lifestyle and made the transition smooth. BUYER BEWARE!! ???????????????? I had the worst possible experience with these guys and would give a -5 star rating if I could. In my opinion, they do not give the Kia brand a good name. Outside of this negative review, I will also be reporting to the Vehicle Sales Authority on their lack of disclosure. As a first time buyer (Of a non used vehicle, for the start of a family) I was sold a demo vehicle at MSRP and was not told of its status at any point through out the entirety of the negotiation process— despite the numerous occasions to do so. Even when wondering what a DEMO was out loud, I was met with silence by their Sales Consultant. One of their Sales Managers kept calling me “brother” while throwing out random compliments and clearly wanted to make the sale, likely because demo vehicles are much harder to move and seeing me as the inexperienced type of customer to prey on. Knowing I had time constraints and was from out of town I’m sure helped as well. The woman in charge of finance offered me an extended factory warranty at a “discount” due to loyalty from my last vehicles lost coverage plan on trade in. After I accepted and when the time finally came for my projected APR (Which rose two times, finally settling @4.99%) as I was leaning towards declining, she told me “you will probably trade it in before the term is finished anyway.” So why would I NEED the extended warranty for an extra $2998 in the first place then?? Despite my gut feeling I accepted the deals in place because I liked the car, only in hindsight did I see the many warning signals. When I went to the GM for resolution to let him know that I felt a lot of buyers remorse due to their lack of disclosure, he accused me of not being able to afford the vehicle and kept up the premise that the vehicle was not used. Despite admitting that he himself had in fact been using it as his personal vehicle… Every time I get into this vehicle I will remember their nauseating treatment to me the customer. I would advise any person thinking of starting a family, elderly or young and inexperienced to stay FAR away and to give your business to a different dealership instead. I will be trading this vehicle as soon as reasonably possible, but in the mean time I will be stuck with the bad memory of this experience as I drive to work each day or buckle my soon to be newborn into their car seat.

I was debating down to the last minute between a Toyota Sienna and a Kia Sedona. In the end, the Toyota dealer began to get pushy and tried to force the close. Kurt was never pushy for the entire time I dealt with him and never made me feel pressured. He did everything I asked in a very timely fashion and genuinely wanted to earn my sale. I found the choice of vehicles to be very similar so in the end I went with the dealer who treated us the best (and gave the best price). You won't go wrong with Kurt and Harris Kia.

After a tedious and unsuccessful experience with an Okanagan dealership, I searched online for the vehicle I was looking for. Upon locating it at Harris Kia in Nanaimo, I phoned and spoke with Rachel Roy, who checked to see if it was still available and then put a hold on the car for me. I drove down to Vancouver Island the next morning and met with Rachel after lunch to test drive the car. Everything from that point on went very smoothly, and it was a pleasure dealing with Rachel and her knowledge with cars! I was given a top trade in price for my old vehicle and felt I could trust this dealership. Randy (RJ) Jeanes is also a charming individual, explaining everthing as we did the paperwork and financing.I made an appointment with service the next morning to have protectant put on the car, and this went like clockwork, with smiling faces greeting me at 8 a.m.. Any questions I had with my purchase were answered immediately and in a professional manner. Overall I would like to say this was a wonderful experience and I wouldn't hesitate recommending Harris Kia to anyone!

I almost bought a used car from them but felt a resistance that held me back. After lots of conversation, it finally came out that the vehicle had been in a substantial accident (almost $5000 damage) and this wasn't disclosed to me until I asked explicitly if it had any ICBC claims on it and wanted to see the Car Smart report. The salesman brushed past it along with other issues that were showing up, downplaying the seriousness of it and got very defensive when I asked if they'd lower the price further than they'd already gone down. He said that the market is "buyer beware" which is a huge red flag to me because it means that they don't want buyers coming back when there are issues, which wouldn't be a concern if they were being up front and honest. The interaction demanded more honesty and integrity for me to feel safe purchasing a vehicle from them, especially for $8000. In the end I decided not to buy and received a cheeky text saying that the car sold for $8500 - so unprofessional...

Best dealership in town. Bought a used Kia (2013) and 2 months later one of the (aftermarket) springs broke. The service department (Mike house) said they stand behind their cars and even though it wasn't a kia part on the car they paid for new springs and the labor! Now that's great customer service! Plus while my car was in the shop waiting on new springs, they have me a brand new Kia Forte to drive around in while mine was getting fixed. Highly recommended!

My husband and I dropped by to look at a used Xterra they had listed back on a Friday in September- we just wanted to look at the vehicle. We were made to sit down, wait, give out our personal info and desires in a vehicle before they would even unlock the doors to look at it. The whole sales experience, while friendly and professional had a strong "sleezy" under tone. We were then convinced into taking the vehicle for a test drive, where we THEN were told that another person had a given a deposit on the vehicle to hold it till the following Monday a few days prior. The sales man kept mentioning that he was a "red seal" mechanic & that " they would never sell an unsafe vehicle" but the vehicle had check engine lights on and a broke gas gauge. The sales men were very pushy for us to leave a deposit for even though it was already one on it but we left one with the promise of getting it back with only a phone call. When i called on Monday to confirm we would like to book in for a 3rd party inspection we were told that the original "deposit person" had the vehicle out for an inspection now and that they would send us a copy of the report if they passed on it. When we were called back the report came back with repairs needed exceeding $6000 including a failing transmission (common on this vehicle) on a vehicle the sales man had tried to pass off as reliable. When we decided not to proceed with the purchase they were pushy about getting me to look at a new one even while politely declining and asking for the deposit back. We were given the run around trying to get it back transferred between people, told we had to come in to get it and look at other options and then finally given the deposit back... I've since got a great Xterra elsewhere and needless to say when I go to purchase my new car next year I will not be considering this dealership and I highly recommend anyone looking to buy used here get a second inspection on it and be cautious of them selling out from under your feet....

Beware of this dealership. We were rushed into a purchase of a new electric vehicle because of a deadline for zero percent financing. We gave Kia a deposit just prior to the deadline to secure the financing deal. The car took eight weeks to come in at which time Kia then refused to honour the zero percent financing which added $6,000 to the overall cost of the vehicle. We returned the car and will be shopping elsewhere for our new car now and in the future. Never will we purchase a car from Kia.

1 star is for the service department. They won't take care of your vehicle, not even washed after servicing. Scratched our van and won't held responsible unless you brought it up to manager. No courtesy car if you need to leave your vehicle there. They will get you a vehicle from car rental. You sign, you pay deposit and you will follow up for the deposit refund after you return the rented car. Extra job for you.

What a Delightful Experience! The Harris Kia service department installed day-time running lights on my Kia Soul yesterday, and I must say - it was one of the most pleasant customer service experiences I've had in a while. The service manager, Mike House, was such a pleasure to work with and was very helpful, as Graham Kia in Victoria wouldn't even consider installing DRL's on an American Kia. In addition, the courtesy van driver, Alan, was also so nice and accommodating. The entire process was seamless and a real pleasure. I will definitely make the 2 hour drive to this location to have all future repairs done on my Kia, and I will refer all of my friends and family to this location to purchase vehicles when needed. It's well worth it.

I have been driving for 40 years, have purchased numerous cars and must say the Harris KIA dealership was the best. Friendly, knowledgeable and good listeners. Marcelo asked how he could help and when I said what I was looking for he took us out for a test drive, explaining the functions of the car. Upon returning to the dealership, Marcelo asked more questions and suggested a different vehicle, the one we did purchase. How did we arrive at a different vehicle? Because Marcelo asked questions, wanting to know my budget and needs. So we are now the proud and extremely happy owners of a 2011 Rondo. But not only was Marcelo helpful, David Corrigal handled the financial details in a clear and concise manner, not rushing us but ensuring we understood the various options available. Kolbi explained the maintenance schedules and set up our first appointment...and upon my return home she had already sent us a welcome email. Really, if you are looking for a new or pre-owned vehicle, this is definitely the place to go.

Unbelievably bad customer service! I called looking for a 2020 soul ev limited and they told me they had 3 available I said great I will take the white one. I asked to be called back with payment info and least rate. I told them I'm calling from Victoria and to please call back asap and that I want to close the deal today. An hour and a half went by and no call. So I called back and they said they did it to a walk in after I called. Who does that? The sales manager then lied to me telling me they were sold first thing this morning. Funny how the salesperson had 3 available 30 min after they opened. My guess is they never had any for sale and just tried to trick me into ordering one. For a company to boast about how customer service is everything they sure have the worst I've seen in 30 years. Be straight with customers and maybe you won't lose customers.

I won't be back, unfortunately. Most of the staff seemed sympathetic & understanding of the fact that I was kept waiting an exceptionally long time for my appointment to buy out my lease. However, after multiple phone calls over the past couple weeks to get someone - anyone - to return my call for guidance, an hour & a half wait for an appointment (without apology or "thank you for your patience" from the person who I had the appointment with), to getting my (technically "new") car from Service uncleaned after they had it 2 1/2 hours (and when I inquired, it was taken back, given only a quick floor vacuum & returned within a few minutes smelling so terrible of body odor - yes, like the Seinfeld episode - I had to drive with the windows down - clearly not properly cleaned & sanitized). Keep in mind, the last time I brought the car in for an oil change, they forgot about me & I almost fell asleep in the waiting room - so this has been a pattern. Very disappointed that buying my car turned out to be such a bad experience for me. It should have been an exciting day. Hopefully you'll do better with your future clients, Harris Kia. I won't be one of them.

We had a very mixed experience at this dealership. Our salesperson Sara was great, but unfortunately the entire rest of the business dropped the ball in several ways. We were very firm on our budget from the start, yet other salespeople continued to try to sell us vehicles outside of our budget, all while insisting they "aren't the kind of dealership that will try to sell you a car outside your budget". When we finally agreed to one price, we were again presented with a price outside of our budget in the finance department. When we decided on a vehicle, we noticed it had two open recalls on it according to the Carfax report. When we asked about these, we were assured they had been completed, and the person we spoke to insisted he didn't even have to check because he was sure it had been done. Then, a day or two later, we get a call informing us one of the recalls had not been done, and we would need to come in to do so. On the phone we were told this would take about 30 minutes, yet when we arrived at the service centre we were informed it would be an hour and a half. The service department was also completely unapologetic at their inability accurately estimate the time the service would take. We also had to return to the dealership because the finance department never took our downpayment despite us asking when we would pay that several times, as well as missed providing us important documents. Overall we are happy with out vehicle, but will never come to this dealership again.

Came in on a Sunday and talked with the salesman... Was a good talk. Before the talk we were unsure if kia was even in consideration. Set up a appointment to come in the next day (monday) for a " No hassle trade in appraisal and quote". Unfortunately I couldn't go so my wife went in without me. The new salesman ( Sunday guy only works sunday) was rude and very pushy for a supposed no hassle or obligation quote. Got frustrated with my wife because she was unwilling to make a decision with out me. New salesman almost didn't give my wife the quote. Needless to say for a person who is looking to purchase a new vehical and still trying to decide what brand they were going to purchase this experience has turned us off buying from this dealer. Sad because we were really starting to consider a kia.

WOW. Took my Sportage in and was only able to try to describe mystery sounds. Nothing found, but the Service Manager described how the sophisticated exhaust system worked with a turbocharged engine under load. It made sense to me. Added bonus - the mechanic noticed that the driver side window wasn't moving properly. He removed the door panel and adjusted the mechanism to factory specs. No charges at all, just great customer service. PS: Good coffee and munchies. I recommend Harris KIA in Nanaimo.

Also usually when a person spends a bunch of money on a vehicle there is some follow up like a quick call to see how we like the vehicle. Find todays sales people lack follow up to insure return business. First day of ownership had to pay for a touch up pen because there was a scratch on the front from before we bought it. I have been servicing my 2010 KIA Forte with the great staff at Harris Kia since I bought the car in 2009. I use my car daily for my courier business and travel upwards of 350 km a day....I do an oil change roughly every 5 weeks. Mike and Colby and the rest of staff have been absolutely awesome to deal with. They know I rely on my vehicle and are more than accommodating in squeezing me in and getting me on my way with the peace of mind that the service was done right. All in all I really haven't had to do much other than regular maintenance until recently. I have 406,000 km and needed my clutch and brakes done, they gave me the quote for labour and threw in the clutch at no charge for being a great customer! UNBELIEVABLE! In these highly competitive times with often very little time spent on the niceties of life in an automobile showroom, it was a refreshing change to run into the gang at Harris Kia in Nanaimo, BC. I was on a bit of a mission improbable as I looked to trade my recent model pickup truck on a new SUV without spending any out of pocket money. I had been met with varying degrees of discouragement and disinterest in other showrooms and was therefore unprepared for the terrific response in the Kia camp. The staff were polite and interested in my quest, listened carefully as I explained what I was attempting to do, enthusiastically showed me the latest vehicle that met my stated requirements, and took my truck for a test drive. I was then introduced to the owner and sales manager and they undertook to examine the possibilities and get back to me. That was last night. This morning I phoned to tell them that, after some conversation at home, we have decided to keep our existing vehicle as we may buy a boat this spring and need a large tow vehicle. They were most gracious and understanding. I'll be back when the time comes to buy a new car. This seemed to be a far above average dealership with excellent front line staff. Highly recommended! This time from the moment my wife and 3 kids and I stepped on the lot we were treated like old friends. Every person we encountered was friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. Working with Roy Berentsen was a joy. Generally buying a vehicle can be a bit stressful, but not at Harris Kia. All our questions were answered fully and truthfully and there was NO pressure. Once we had decided on the vehicle we wanted to purchase we went to work on the trade in value of our current vehicle. Boy were we happy. They gave us such a fair trade in value (we checked black book/blue book values too) we were pleasantly surprised. Once all of that was completed we were introduced to Randy Heller who took care of the financial end of things he made sure we were completely satisfied with the deal. Thank you gentlemen for such great service. One more thing. We have 3 young children. The receptionist and other sales agents were so wonderful. I was in the market for a used 4 cylinder vehicle to use for my daily 80 kilometre commute and having saw a couple of vehicles on the Harris Kia website, planned a visit to the dealership the next morning. While I had printed the ads related to a number of potential vehicles from Craigslist, I ended up buying a 2008 Kia Rio from Harris Kia. I had never really thought about Kia as being a brand that I would consider purchasing in future, probably because I knew very little about it. After driving the Kia vehicle I was interested in, it met all my expectations and then some. When the dealership took this vehicle in on trade, it ensured that all of the maintenance was up-to-date. As an example, even though the vehicle only had 45,000 kilometres on it, given that the manual called for the timing belt to be replaced at 96,000 kilometres or after 5 years, Harris Kia had replaced the timing belt as it had yet to be done and the vehicle was now 5 years old. Kurt Mason and the staff at Harris Kia were extremely helpful and courteous and made my shopping experience a real pleasure. The knowledgeable service combined with a non pushy sales approach made this experience even that much better. I was very impressed by Kurt and the other staff at Harris Kia and would definitely recommend this dealership to others. As a matter of fact, I have already made mention to several people about how impressed I was with the treatment I received.

We had been interested in a 2015 Sorrento, so we went down to our local dealer. As soon as we entered the building, we were greeted by an awesome sales person (we'll call her Natalie, because that's her name)! She showed us what they had and was very helpful in answering questions and had great product knowledge; anything she didn't know was just a question away. She let us take it for a test drive and put up with my sense of humour. We returned and very quickly expressed our interest in buying the vehicle. Natalie let us discuss our options in private and then returned to discuss the sales end of the deal. There was no pressure and only one request on our part, which her manager agreed to and we were finished. Done. Easy. We can honestly say we had a good time. As a testament to the service, we left our old car there, because we would be returning during the week to get all the protection and scotch guarding done; well I forgot the keys to my old car. They rented me a car , free of charge, for the day. We were able to get our errands done, pick my son up from school and get my keys. This kind of service is extremely rare! Big thank-you.

My sincere appreciation and huge thanks to Sas, Roland, Matt, Marcelo and the whole team of Harris Kia for making the deal completed. I like the car! I’ve been rejected for one of my concern after the car was delivered. Reason for rejection: the car was sold to me at a low price. “We can’t do something for you”. Neither an attempt to discuss the matter further nor see the car physically based on my concern. How disappointed it was! Since I received rejection, I documented it and find ways to resolve it on my own. Meanwhile, Matt was there by accident and provide some sort of alternatives. I’m still lucky he was there. No matter how excellent the leadership or customer service are, the unexpected happens; customer concern should be handle with due care and protected from disappointing encounter. Even if the situation loses you small amount of money in the short run, you will possibly see a larger picture in the long run. I’m a typical person who will sing your praises when you resolve my issues or turn my bad experience around in a timely manner and offer a fair solution. We were in the market for a new SUV crossover and were interested in the new Seltos and the Sportage. After visiting the lot we got in contact with Victoria, who was a really good salesperson, and arranged a test drive of the Seltos. All in all a good experience so far... Immediately after our test drive though we were ushered into her office and was forced to meet with the sales manager, who came off as very pushy and arrogant. We told him multiple times we weren’t ready to make a decision yet, but he kept pushing. After close to 20 minutes of him trying to force the sale, and him saying that he “hated time wasters” (referring to us) and that Kia offered the “best vehicles in the market so we should be ready to commit without going elsewhere” we ended up walking out. Hate to say it, but his attitude lost it for us. Had we been able to deal with Victoria all the way through until we were ready to discuss numbers, we likely would have purchased a vehicle with Kia. Needless to say we’re absolutely in love with our new Nissan Rogue, and the service we received there wasn’t high-pressure or rude at all.

I was in the market for a new car and did extensive research on several manufacturers, including Toyota, Mercedes,and Subaru. I concluded that the Kia Sorento was my choice as a price performer. However the real key to my decision was the professionalism of the staff at the dealer. From the salesperson(Grant Brown) through the sales manager(Jeremy Allen) and the General Manager ( Dave Bare) their approach was rapid,thorough and not high pressure . I was offered a fair price on my trade-in and on the new car itself ( without needless price negotiation games). Delivery of the car was quick. I have purchased many cars over the years , but will say that this was the easiest and most pleasant experience of them all. I get my car service all done through the dealer. I recently bought a used kia soul from the Nanimo dealership. It was the worst car purchasing experiences i've had. The sales people didn't understand the vehicle they where selling me. and continual told me information that was not true. -they said it was well serviced with good records of servicing. it had 2months of service records for 3 years for being on the road. (its was a 2018. -they were slow. It took 5 hours one Saturday to settle on the vehicle and price. and another 3 hours later when we went to pick it up. -they lied about what vehicles where available and Magically had the same vehicle with lower KM's and better service record after trying to force me into purchasing the one that had been on the lot for 4 hours. -they lied about the new vehicles KM'. it had 15,000 less km's instead of the promised 20,000km less. DONT BOTHER FIGHTING THROUGH THE BS FOR THEIR VEHICLES>

We bought a 2017 kia sorrento in march and the staff were phenomenal! We had a sudden death in our family and were on our way from victoria to be with everyone up island when our car died. The staff made buying our new suv as smooth as possible and were so kind and empathetic. The staff offered to pick us up in victoria and said they would have the suv we were interested in detailed and ready to go for when we arrived.We walked out with our sorrento that day and were able to make it to be with our family. Cam was our salesman and we couldn't have been more pleased. When we were about to leave, the staff gave 2 stuffed kia bears for our kids. There was also a beautiful bouqet of flowers with a sympathy card on our dashboard. The card was signed by all of the staff we had dealt with.We couldn't be more happy with the service we received in such a difficult time.

The vehicle was seen promptly at the appointment time. An estimate based on expected service was provided with a rundown of each thing to be examined. The waiting room had complimentary beverages and a fruit plate. There were some plugs available to charge personal electronic devices and an offer of an iPad loan. There was also a TV available for viewing while we waited. The work was completed in the estimated time and additional issues and solutions were presented for consideration and then implemented with agreement. The car exterior was washed and vacuumed when returned. The issues that took us in for service all seem resolved.

I spoke with Liam, a Sales Associate, whose knowledge, enthusiasm, and ability to relay important details to me while he clearly steered the conversation towards my needs as a consumer and the practicality of the wide range of vehicles in the Kia and Hyundai family with regards to hybrids, HPEV, and gas models. My Kia Sorento is a great vehicle and drove me without hesitation through the worst of last year's winter. I was able to drive up my very steep hill every day, in the snow and ice. I love all the features, none of which I was familiar with as I had a 2004 vehicle which had none of the bells and whistles the Kia has. Christine showed me how everything worked. I have now had my Sorento just over two years. I find the Service Dept., is also very helpful and go above and beyond in their service. I can't forget to mention Doug the fabulous Kia driver who drives me to and from work while the Sorento is being serviced.

Bought a 2013 Sportage a year and a half ago that is still under warranty and it came with 5 free oil changes. The customer service was good but when it came to getting the services done it was far from free. Was emailed that it time to bring it in for the fourth service and that the cost was going to be $438.00 plus tax? When I asked what that covered, I was told they change the coolant and service the brakes but the oil change is still free? Talked to the mechanics I work with and all seemed to think it was an extremely excessive amount of money for a service on a car with 50,000 KM. Last free oil change they said the wheels were out of alignment which I had to have fixed. Asked them to look at a tire to see if there was a leak and they said there was and that it was fixed which I had to pay for. Turned out to be still leaking and had to take it to a tire shop. Warranty work does not have to be done by the dealer so if you have a good mechanic, take you care there. That's where I am going.

Terrible customer service! Very disorganized. Girl contacted me a second time after I had already booked online and then they cancelled my appointment with little notice because they were closing early for a wedding. One would think a wedding was booked more than a few days in advance. Apologies and excuses about their online booking not working as desired (other places seem to work online booking without these issues) but I'm an hour away and had scheduled other appointments around this one. No concern for cost or inconvenience to me. Unfortunate as service department seems good. Next car won't be a Kia. Reply to response: I live an hour away so picking my car up and dropping it back isn't a logical thing to do. I need my car as I'm remote and don't care to use my gas for 4 trips. Your staff time should be considered too!?

Had a really bad experience at this dealership, one of the sales managers raised his voice at me and was upset because I was comparing qoutes with other dealerships. Very unprofessional and disrespectful, as clients we have the right to run our due diligence and make sure we are getting a good deal. I wouldn't recommend based on the unprofessional sales manager. I have always driven Kia and been loyal to the brand however my unprofessional experience at Harris Kia got me thinking otherwise. I expressed my disdain but the sales manager was unforgiving of his unprofessional service.

My mother bought a 2015 Soul and after her first servicing I was amazed at how wonderful the staff were. Your Appointment is "your" time, not 15 - 25 minutes later. They wash and vacuum your vehicle each time. I also had my 2 Toyota's serviced at Harris as well. I have now moved all my car servicing to Harris Kia because of their wonderful customer care and service. I never experienced this at Duncan Toyota. The cost of the service was also cheaper than Toyota. Unbelievable! Doug is also a bonus as he will shuttle you wherever you want to go. Always a wonderful experience. As a result we will be purchasing our new vehicle at Harris Kia. 5 stars to you!!

Our experience purchasing a 2021 Seltos from Harris Kia was beyond smooth, and I highly recommend this dealership. I love my new Seltos, with only one caveat that I will provide at the end of this review. Our salesperson was friendly, knowledgeable, and able to answer all questions and concerns. The Seltos was beyond our price point, but Harris Kia was able to provide us terms that enabled our purchase. Financing was made a breeze, and although all information was provided, there was no pressure for upgraded warranties or additional packages. An insurance person was onsite, allowing us to smoothly move to that portion of things also, without waiting for someone to arrive. The entire process was pleasurable and provided me with my first ever good-feeling experience on a car lot (previous purchases elsewhere have not met this - so, I was very pleasantly surprised). I love my new Seltos and would recommend this vehicle to anyone. However, if accessories are your thing, you may want to wait a while before purchase. I believe I would now be reluctant to purchase the first-year out of any future model as accessories seem to be forever on backorder. As money was tight, we only purchased two accessories - window visors and all-weather mats for the front. The window visors arrived only a few weeks later and have been installed. As to the weather mats, we still wait. These are important to us as our driveway is unpaved, we would otherwise have no option other than to bring dirt, grit, mud, etc. into our vehicle - which is not how we wish to take care of our new and beloved purchase. We purchased on Sept. 26, but have now been told that these mats are on backorder until Jan. 5. By this time, there is great possibility of having brought salt and/or de-icer into the vehicle that could discolour our carpets - a prospect that is greatly discouraging to us, as protecting against dirt and damage is why we purchased the mats to begin with.

Terrible experience at Harris Kia, after some haggling over the phone I had worked out a price with Scott. Price was agreed upon and we talked about what they were going to do to get the car ready for pickup and what ferry I was going to catch the next day as I live on the mainland. After talking with Scott I had two phone calls with the finance department where we talked about financing options and what kind of cheque they needed. Price, payment and everything was finalized, I asked the finance person if there was anything else they needed from me but was told we were good and I’d see them tomorrow. A couple hours later I received a text message from Scott saying the finance department had been trying to get ahold of me and since I’ve hey could not get a deposit they had sold the vehicle. I had zero missed calls or messages from anyone at Harris Kia and had previously been in contact with two sales guys Scott and Marcelo as well as a lady from the finance department, none of which had the courtesy to call or text. Scott didn’t even have the courage to call me and tell me himself what happened. Please do yourself a favor and be cautious dealing with this dealership!

Having done some shopping for cars at a few dealers, with varied experiences, we entered KIA and were met by a very pleasant and personable sales person. Without any pressure, we were shown many options and ultimately decided on the top of the Sorento line with all the gadgets (what a beautiful car). The car was presented and explained thoroughly without interruptions and we were offered a test drive. We were very impressed with the car and decided to buy it. The purchasing process was very straight forward with no hidden costs or pressures. The offer was presented in detail including all costs and discounts.
