Phenomenal experience, no pressure, no stress and the staff are very welcoming and knowledgable, not only in the vehicles they sell but in the whole experience like customer care, detailed descriptions in financing, maintenance programs and extended warranties. Dealing with Marcel and Normand were like dealing with a breath of fresh air after dealing with other dealerships. I live almost 2 hours away and could drive 5 mins to service my new car where I am from but I won't , I will schedule it around a business trip just so I can return to Laplante Chevrolet because I know I will be treated properly. Next to a home purchase this is the second largest amount of money I will spend. I wanted to make the purchase right the first time that's why I bought my car from these guys! Thanks again.

Deciding between all the different car options, features and prices was a really hard process for me! I constantly had questions which I had forgotten to ask and felt very self conscious that maybe I was bothering people or sounding way too picky! However, everyone at Laplante was extraordinarily accommodating and helpful! Louis, Fred, Norm and Stephanie were all very welcoming, listened to what I wanted and worked to find me a car which fit my wishlist & budget! Also, I was happy to see that the Laplante website was frequently updated and had lost of pictures and information including prices.

Update: this issue is only relatable to those who have dual rear wheels... The service advisors were great and the service manager was very personable. But... I have lowered the 5 stars to 4. This spring (2021) I went to have my summer tires installed. They are not on rims so the placement can be a proper tire rotation with no more work than 3 minutes of thinking. The tech could not be bothered or didn't know how to properly rotate tires on a dual rear wheel truck. I had to make another appointment to have the tires removed from their rims and put in the proper positions. This is not an issue with single rear wheel vehicles or even those without aluminum wheels. Fast forward to fall of 2021... Back to get the winters put on. Same guy doing it. Was annoyed that he was told to do the rotation at the same time. Tire rotation done but he put the wheels on without ensuring that I can can get to the valve stems on the inner wheels. Had to take the wheels off again and spin one wheel on each side to allow access. This is not something I've ever had to tell a trained professional before. I did not buy here because at the time, there was only one dealership within 150km that had what I wanted and would not dealer trade but I service here. Every time. They are friendly, knowledgeable and, unlike Myers in Orleans, will take an appointment to get my oil changed. I have purchased from them in the past and will likely look to them for my next purchase.

Bought a truck here later found out had a broken driveshaft, took it to them to fix under warranty and said couldn't find issue, got it fixed elsewhere. Second time around traded truck in for a car and it needed brakes after 5 months 6000 Kms and was told to bad basically, would NOT recommend dealing here save your money and shop elsewhere.

Very disappointed went it for an alignment n they couldnt do it cause i needed bearing n front strut assembly replaced at a total cost of $881 felt suspicious So i got it checked by my own mechanic everything looked fined.So i went to another gm dealership got my alignment done n came out with 118 bill.Maybe they shouldnt try to con ppl or get better mechanics .You lost a customer n word of the mouth will cost you more customers. You should return my 11.30 back n a price of a med tim coffee for my time lost thank you

Great service, under covid rules. I still managed to get a car within 24h, gr8 price. Hard to negotiate new car deal. Like for instinse i paid 500 for color i didnt choose. 75$ gaz when the car doesnt even take 35$. No windows tinted.even though i wish it was. But in the end they only charged me 1% interest foe the loan. So im happy

Laplante GM sold us a $20K "safety certified" truck. A massive fuel leak was discovered within 2 hours of purchase. I reported it immediately to them. I did not get a response from the sales manager for 4 days. I offered to take it to a local GM dealer. They refuses and asked us to take it to the local repair shop to get fixed. After initially only offering to pay less than half of the bill, they now are refusing to pay for any of the repair to fix the leak after I suggested that I have our legal department review. I have yet to receive an apology or concern for my safety from the sales manager after having to drive the vehicle 400km home with a fuel leak above an exhaust pipe. This has been my experience so far. This supposedly "passed" GM's 150 point inspection according to their website, and outside vendor they used to do a commercial safety. Buyers beware!

Brutal experience!! called about a truck they had coming in on Tuesday guy said their is 2 coming I told them very interested tell me how much after discounts i called everyday and txtd th sales guy Richard Latulippe to be exact he would dodge me then next day ask for drivers lic etc all week long i call him 6 days later to follow up he says yes will have price today 4 hours later oooo sorry the truck sold! Bought a used 2011 Chevrolet Equinox from Laplantes in 2015. Paid 16k upfront for the vehicle after an impressive test drive. Come to find out that the crossover needs more oil then gas to operate. Lawsuits throughout the US being resolved where GMC knowingly sold vehicles with higher then normal oil burn with no dash indicators. This issue causes power failure and fried pistons. The vehicle has been parked as a paperweight in the driveway for two years dealing with these issues. Dont recommend the Chev., they knew about the issue prior to my purchase.

I was due to pick it up 4 days later and after two days they texted me to tell me that they had sold the truck to someone else. Words fail me to describe how ridiculous this situation is. I purchase my first car earlier this week. After looking all around Ottawa, I found a 2011 GMC terrain at the Laplante Dealership in Casselman. I was wary at the beginning due to the horror stories you hear about dealerships but, after contacting the Laplante, we were able to get almost everything done over the phone. My father tagged along because he has dealt with Laplante in the past and has a love for cars. On the day of, we walked in, got amazing service, signed a few papers and we were on our way. Couldn't believe purchasing a car was this easy and stress free. Really enjoyed the service and will definitely consider purchasing from them again.

They sold the car that I test drove (just 15 minutes prior) and was planning on buying as I was sitting in the office going over the numbers. Pretty gutless, if you ask me. As an electric vehicle owner (Chevy Spark EV) I really appreciate Laplante Chevrolet allowing the community to charge their EV’s at their dealership. Although there are several Chevy dealerships much closer to my home I will definitely give them the opportunity to sell me my next vehicle before shopping at a dealership that doesn’t make their EV charging station available to the public . Great experience buying a car. Visited many dealerships while shopping around and often felt very pressured and on the spot. I felt ZERO pressure from the dealership to sign on the spot. Louis and Norman took the time to answer any questions I had and lay it all out for me. Louis even took the time to walk me through all the car features on the day of pick up and made sure I was comfortable in my new wheels. Thanks so much for setting up my Bluetooth! I would recommend this dealership to friends and family. Very happy with my new purchase!:) Edit: Lack of due diligence on dealers behalf of 150 point inspection. 3 weeks of driving the car and it's back in the shop to replace the fan belt. Of course this isn't covered under the warranty provided with the car. Had the car been properly inspected this would have been fixed before being sold. Very unimpressed - I will be speaking with customer service.
