The dealership is good, we received good service, but we spent $85,000 on a brand new expedition and right from factory the rear climate control didn’t work (fan not working) and within only a few months the rear gate button was jammed. The dealership dealt with it no problem but I would expect when spending near $100,000 on a new vehicle that it would have no issues such as the ones mentioned above.

With no advance notice the crew at Rodeo were able to fit me in within an hour of my phone call. After checking me in they drove me back to work while my vehicle was being serviced and then came to get me when the work was done. I could have hung around drinking their free coffee, watching tv in their customer waiting area or using their free wifi service, but I have a business to run too. I appreciate the great service and courteous treatment I always get at Rodeo Ford.

I had my ford edge repaired in September 2016 for the problem of not recognizing it was in park, and therefore being unable to shutoff the power. This also greatly increases the risk of the car rolling away since you can't tell its in park. This was repaired by replacing the gear shift at a cost of $465. This March the problem re-appeared. I had made an appointment a week earlier to drop the car off 10:00 to have it re-repaired. At 2 in the afternoon they called and said they could do the "new" fix for $350 as per Ford's new technical service bulletin (as this is a generic problem), and did i want to go ahead? I went to the shop, and after some complaining, they agreed to drop the "diagnosis" charge and only bill me $250. But the car needed to stay overnight. So the question is: Why did this need to be fixed again? Are customers paying for Ford's technical development? Why make an appointment if the car doesn't get looked at for 6 hours? or does Ford delay the call till late afternoon to increase the pressure to have clients say "go ahead" and avoid an overnight stay. All in all, I am very unimpressed.

When I showed up for the service I asked again about the shuttle, and was told the driver would be with me right away. An hour later the service was finished, and I was still waiting in the customer lounge for the shuttle driver who never did bother getting back to me.

Service is good, but needs tweaking compared to U.S. Ford Dealerships. I have been using the Ford Dealership on Saamis Drive, Medicine Hat, since I purchased my Edge in 2012. I have most of my oil changes and tire rotations done at this dealership. The Service Counter people are always very friendly and wait times for my vehicle are not overly long. I hardly ever use the Courtesy Vehicle. I have had some maintenance done in the U.S., oil changes and tire rotation, when a long trip south is completed. My vehicle is always washed, when using an American Ford dealership, and this always impresses me. I'm not looking for a complete detail job, when I take my Ford Edge in, here in Medicine Hat, a simple exterior wash would be very appreciated by this customer. The Ford dealership here could take some pointers from their American cousins, on how to treat there customers.

I do not live in the city, so my entire purchase was completed over the phone and through email. All the staff were so helpful. I choose a vehicle online, and the sales team worked to get me into the car of my choice with financing option that worked best for me, and to top it all off I was offered a competitive amount for my trade-in! When it came time for the paperwork, the finance staff walked me through each step over the phone while I completed it online. So easy! I have usually had great service at Sun City. However, my last visit has really soured me on Ford. I drive a 2017 Fiesta 3 cylinder turbo. It has 37,000 km on it, and amazing mileage. I took it in to check on a brake fluid warning from the computer. After hearing back from them--I was told that they could not find any visible leaks but that the fluid is definitely low (they topped it up). I was also advised that the clutch system also uses the same brake fluid and may be the cause of the leak. BUT because clutches are not under warranty, I will be on the hook to have it fixed. So, I have a low mileage car under warranty that is definitely leaking brake fluid with no established cause. Said car may or may not have a clutch that is leaking brake fluid that I am probably now responsible for the life of the car. Not only do I not know what the actual problem is, but in all likelihood it is not covered by warranty anyway. Add this to the list of major parts that were already replaced under warranty, and I'm now worried I'm stuck with a Ford-powered lemon. Which is unfortunate, because I really liked the car.

The next day, my driver's side door handle fell off (not related to my service visit) and when I returned to the dealer for a tire re-torque, they went above and beyond to make sure they also found a way to get the door handle reattached and working again!

This would be the second review that I have posted of this place. Always bring my car here . But the last time I did I have had issues, yet to call but I will be within the next day or so. I had brought my car in for a clutch replacement and that was good, but I now can't just press clutch and brake to start the car, I have to pump the clutch and use pretty much my entire body weight before it will start, think it might be a misalignment or something as even putting the car into gear isn't as smooth. Got some other gripes but nothing major and can't actually tell so either way not a big deal. Not huge complaints and definitely don't let the stars effect anything as I really didn't know what to put. Best dealership in town and the best people I've ever dealt with just hope to get things figured out

Have been going here for my oil changes, about a year now and service was usually good, except this last time. I was first one in for an oil change at 7:30am and they kept my truck past 2:30pm and when I came back to pick up my truck (assuming it was done because I saw it parked on the side) I was told there were still two vehicles still ahead of mine. I own a F-250 diesel 7.3L and I was told there were only two technicians who could look at my truck because it was older. I asked for my keys back because I had to be back at work that evening. Just wished they could have phoned me to let me know.

Overall, our experience with Sun City Ford has been a positive one. They have been pleasant and professional to deal with. The only reason for the 4 stars is when my husband called to book the service he had requested a loaner vehicle and they said they would call him back if they did not have one available. He never heard back from them. When I got there I was offered a shuttle service. You can hardly utilize a shuttle service when you have a number of errands to run. Our vehicle was in for a 2 hour service appointment so I ended up sitting waiting for it. When you live out of town that loaner vehicle can be helpful when you need to get things done.

I purchased my 3rd truck to get the cool stuff I thought I was getting. The truck was build and I told them I wanted a Lariat to which I believed I was getting the LED headlights. I was shown a piece of paper to which I agreed to. But I was not told that the difference between the different packages accepted that the auto side steps were on the 502 and cost like $4000.00 . This still has me upset since I can go o to Ford.ca and build a truck and see what it will look like NOT a piece of paper. All I got for the miss understanding was an oil change. When you pay up front for your maintenance plan one should not have to question what is being done during the service or did you use the correct oil. I assumed that everything is linked to either my name or the vin? Anyways, after they had to drain the fresh oil to replace it with the synthetic that I paid for while I sat waiting, the person at the counter assured me that this will never happen again and put a note on my account. She was genuinely sincere and I appreciate that. But it never should have come to that in this electronic world that we live in today.

Three weeks to get a transmission done under warranty. Broken promises on timelines, incorrect parts ordered, excuses and apologies would get five stars. Took my personal truck for an oil change at Chev and it came back detailed and washed in an afternoon. If I take my personal car to the dealership the first thing they do is detail and wash it. Take in the Ford for warranty work and it comes back dirtier than when I dropped it off. To top it all off it cost my company thousands in charge out.

Cause she didn't call me back and she is sitting there on her cell phone telling me she was to busy to call me back then my brand new diesel truck sitting out side in -30 not plugged in makes me think that's the way to get repeat customers I guess totally embarrassing my trucks will never go again and also my friends and family and even talking to the company I work for to stay away from that place and bring all our business to big m instead at this point I will drive 4 hours to deal with someone else on a good note the guy that sold me the truck was awesome and if he goes to another location I would deal with him again on my next truck

UPDATE: 6 months on and second experience was the polar opposite to the first. Booked my vehicle in for a service and arranged a courtesy vehicle for my wife, when she arrived to drop the vehicle off there was not a courtesy vehicle arranged, when she was given a vehicle the rear windscreen wiper did not work so vehicle was not safe to drive. Wife had to sit and wait whilst service was carried out with two young children. Poor show Ford, I suspect as I was not buying something we were less deserving of the same treatment I commented on in my original post. Disappointed.

I recently purchased a used truck from Sun City. I shopped trucks for a while before deciding on what I wanted then narrowed it down to a few that were available in different cities in Alberta. I contacted each dealer to discuss the truck and to get a feel for how they did business. I was impressed with Sun City. My gut told me that I should pursue the Sun City truck and “wow” was I right. I live in BC and never went to the dealership or met anyone except Larry the shuttle driver. But I got to know the type of people that work at Sun City and the obvious “customer comes 1st” culture at this dealership. My salesman was Given MacPhail and I can’t say enough about how I enjoyed dealing with Given. He did everything and more to make this the best buying experience one could ever expect. He worked hard to get me the best price on my trade-in. Much more than I could have gotten by selling privately. Then when I asked about adding options like a tonneau cover and paint protection film to the truck, he found a way to quickly make this come together at very affordable pricing. My one significant issue was that I live in the Okanagan Valley area in BC and didn’t really want to drive through the mountain passes in February, but that was no problem for this dealership, they have drivers who are happy to make the trip. Larry the driver brought the vehicle, we did the paperwork and swapped vehicles. It took about 20 minutes. That was easy! Although I never met (or spoke to) the sales manager, the general manager or the dealership owner, I did work with Sandra on the administration team. Once again, “wow”, she made me feel like I was her top priority. Clearly the owners and senior management team have created this unique culture. I’m a business owner and I know how important it is to build this type of positive environment. I take my hat off to the folks at Sun City as I’ve truly never had such a uniquely positive experience as I had at their dealership. Well done everyone and thanks for making this purchase such a positive experience.

Not impressed with the support & service I received from Suncity Ford in my last interaction. I have ford edge 2019 & I called suncity ford regarding engine light on warning. I was glad that they picked up my vehicle the next day, fixed it and dropped it back. It was all good until this point. Next day, same engine light problem occurred & I called them on Monday if I can bring my car so that they can fix it up. Guy on the phone said they are booked until Wednesday. I said I have to go out of the town on thursday & its kind of urgent. He said go somewhere else to check the issue.. lol Seriously now I have to go somewhere else to fix the issue. Anyhow, I called them yesterday too, they said now they are booked till thursday. I said ok, can I get the loaner car please. He said No, last one is gone today too. All limits crossed, simple they had no intentions to help their customer at all. In the end, I called the other dealership & they gave me the appointment next day happily. It was hurtful as I had my all oil changes, bought new tires from them in last 3 years & all that trust got shattered with one bad experience. Disappointed with their bad service and will not recommend to anyone .

Living in a smaller town like medicine Hat, it's difficult to know if you are getting a good deal. I have found that some dealers really take advantage of the fact that you are far from a city so they jack up the price. Sun City Ford did the opposite of that. I was really interested in the new ford escape and when I compared their pricing to city dealers, Sun City had the same process if not better. The sales guy was really nice and never tried to pressure me into anything. He even offered to help me look around to compare other prices so he could get me the best deal possible. I love my new escape and I will never shop anywhere else but Sun City. Thank you for all your help and giving me such a great deal.

They are very polite and try to accommodate; however, this was a recall issue and to no fault of the dealership FORD hasn't solved the problem which means another trip for the solution. I think when the vehicle is recalled the solution should be there and the dealership should be able to complete it. I had three recalls on this vehicle so far and only two of them could be addressed. Something wrong with this picture and it definitely is not the dealership's problem, they were trying their best so I do not want this comment to reflect on them in any way shape or form.

I took my car in for winter tire change and asked someone to come with me to hear the noises I was hearing. Mike did hear the noises I was hearing (and they fortunately were minor issues easily fixed), but he also heard a noise that I did not hear. This turned out to be stabilizer bar end links (both front end) issues that could have been a safety issue. Our experience with the service department and manager has been a bit of a disappointment and has caused a great deal of frustration. We have bought vehicles from here for the last 15 years for both our business and our personal use. Our current Ford Explorer AWD is about 2 years old with less then 55,000 km. We were informed at our recent oil change that one of the boots had been damaged which resulted in a build up of dirt and debris which meant the whole CV joint would need to be replaced. As we purchased the maintenance plan at the time we got the vehicle we assumed all of it would be covered under our power train warranty. That turned out not to be the case as they don’t cover “damage.” When asked about what could have damaged it we were told they weren’t sure but it was most likely rocks. As we live on country roads and drive back and forth each day I understand that could be the case. What we are disappointed in is that damage that was created by normal wear and tear on country roads would not be covered. We are incredibly disappointed and frustrated that Ford would not stand behind the quality of their vehicle and while it only cost us $600 there is no guarantee that it will not happen again. Will be trading in our vehicle for one that can handle country living as soon as we can. Nicole Lehr
