Sold a car with loud noises coming from the engine bay telling us that thats what that brand of car does and its NORMAL, bring it to 2 different mechanics and they told us that it needs a rebuilt engine. would not suggest going to this shady company for anything they dont even check to see if anything is wrong before selling it.

In our search for a new car we couldn’t be happier when we met the Southlands Kia team. We visited also some other dealers in the province, yes im very picky customer, I went on test drives for few makes, and left the follow up steps to my husband when he was car hunting for me the special gift. But this team is what makes you buy your new car. My husband could sense how comfortable I felt about the situation. We dealt with Curtis and he was just the right sales man for us. I met him once only for a test drive and I appreciated a lot the effort that he made to make it happen and in accommodating our request. Very courteous, attentive to details and friendly person. During the follow ups, he kept present, very professional and always responded on timely manner. My husband felt very comfortable with him, and the entire team as he dealt with more of the team during the purchase process. At no time we felt he was trying to push a car for us, especially that we expressed to him our options in term of brands even as known luxury cars. I wanted to maintain the luxury feel in the car without having my husband to break the bank lol. Especially when he wanted to make it his gift to me. I owned in the past sport cars mainly, and one luxury SUV. The new “Gift” won over all of them ( A, B, P and L ) on many points on the checklist , from safety, unique design, comfort, trim options, just to name a few as I let it for you to see what it has to offer by visiting the Southlands Kia showroom, and what Kia has to offer is A LOT! From day one they have been working on delivering a quality experience. This what mattered to us. We love our new car, and truly happy that we did the purchase with this specific dealer. Bought a used range rover from southlands..we were told at the time of purchase it had 100,000 km warranty..we took it home..not even 2 weeks and it won't start ..had it towed to a shop..was informed the batteries are no good..but warranty should cover them...called landrover..was informed we have no warranty..so now we own a suvt hat we can't shut off ..called the dealership..and got the run around from the salesman and finance guy..not impressed

I'm currently financing a pre-owned vehicle that I'm unable to drive due to a critical component a member of the sales team failed to tell me at the signing. The vehicle's push start system is controlled by an aftermarket smart key ignition, which they didn't know about until I brought it up with them. Someone from the dealership was more concerned with my 4 star rating of their branch, than my issue with my vehicle and never got back to me about it. Once I did my research, I learned that a bypass key that's needed if the primary smart key fails, wasn't given to me. The smart key system has rendered my vehicle useless at the moment. Thankfully the service team provided me with some alternative help with the issue.

Got an oil change done here (the service was great, no complaints about the oil change) quite annoyed that i am getting sales calls after just an oil change. I went there for a used suv I showed been advertised. They took my info and apply through to their bank system supposedly to let me know that night. Well that night went , tomorrow morning came, noon, and there is no call back. I called and they said it didn't work. What happened to the service? how we suppose to shop local when the locals don't give a f.....k. Actually I'm looking right now in Lethbridge and Calgary. Lethbridge sales guy told me he is willing to stay late if that works for me.

I travelled 150 km to buy tires for my car at Kia Medicine Hat. I did that because i had a positive first experience getting oil change done. I came to regret my choice as soon as I went to enter my car. Presumably due to improper lifting my car had evidently twisted making my door bind up to the fender. So when i went to open the door it damaged the fender and the door. Now, the big problem I had with this was that the person who moved the car noticed this.... Prodded it (evidenced by fingerprints in area) and did not advise anyone or correct it. I was sent to nearby bodyshop where they bent fender back to close to original spot. Later, i noticed one tire very low on pressure by tpms. I stopped to add air and noticed the tires had been installed with 2 larger tires on one side instead of front to rear. I was then directed to OK tire in Bassano to have that problem corrected. It took OK tire 30 or so hours to contact me to rectify the problem. They were unable to fully complete the work as their tech went on holiday. Whoever they had work on it there damaged something in my traction control abs system so that now is malfunctioning. I have no words to express my disappointment. My name is Keith Jackson.

The kia dealership is good. However BEWARE of their used lot across the road. Their Kijiji prices are sometimes half the price of what the car on the lot is actually listed for(Imagine driving from calgary only to find out the car was 10 grand, not 3500) The salesman tried to sell my friend a truck that would literally take up 95% of his income with inlcuded insurance. He couldnt tell us how much the truck was because "the manager isnt here and he has the price" yet he could come up with a bi weekly payment number. salesman here are your typical used car salesman. The manager is not people friendly and only cares about money. Do yourself a favour and dont shop here where everything is overpriced by 10 grand.

Update........ I contacted the service manager as requested. After a conversation with Kent I was blown away with the way he " wanted to make things right " He booked me in yesterday to have a new engine guard installed on my Civic at no cost to me!! This was shocking to me and helped restore my faith in humanity in these crazy times! Congratulations to Kent and the crew at Southland Kia! I recommend them as a trusted service department for any vehicle!!! I had the oil changed on my 2016 Honda Civic on Monday. I got about a half mile from the shop and the skid plate /engine guard lets go and starts dragging on the pavement. Had to phone the shop and have them send someone to help take it off. He said there was only two screws holding it on. I've had this car for 1.5 years and this plate has never fell off before. Not impressed!!!

Worst place to buy a vehicle they sold me a truck with a illegal windshield and are not paying the 365$ to replace I also have children that ride in the vehicle and they don’t seem to care one bit about there lives or my own. Other than the general manager Marten the experience was a cluster fiasco. The car salesman was pleasant but inexperienced. The manager was obnoxious, but he's always been that way The service manager was absolutely rude and miserable. We had to deal with all of this as well as the many trips to the dealership because of so many mistakes that were made. Marten speaks his mind but he's fair and I like that.

Not a terrible experience just not that great, bought a used car there and none of them really seemed knowledgeable. Couldnt clear an engine code, couldnt properly fix a rock chip in the middle of the windshield, didnt know what kind of oil they used on the oil change or which brand/ type they should have used! Not a bad deal on the used car though. Hint..... When you sell a premium brand German car that has a computerised service schedule, you MUST use the exact specified engine oil otherwise the engine warranty is VOID. Wont go back, even to have my tires checked.

Horrible experience my wife and I went to look at a new sedona and we got told that the msrp is the price you see so that's the price you pay. Then they went and pulled us up a new van gave us the keys and said well you have a 2010 sedona so you no what there like, handed her the keys and said if you want take it for a drive around the lot and look at it I'll be inside when your done. So we went in after a few minutes to tell him it ain't for us and he already had a proposal done up pushing us to sign it at the msrp price we left and drove up to south trail Kia in Calgary the following weekend and bought a brand new lx + model for 3500 cheaper than msrp plus they threw in a command start for us. We are very happy with Mikhail and his team up there, they worked really hard to make us feel like our business was appreciated and not just expected.
