Cory and the gang (amongst many others) have been very helpful in answering my questions, and in helping me buy my truck. I was very disappointed with the service I received. I took my vehicle in because the radio powers off by itself. I was charged $300.00 to replace the switch on the steering wheel, had the car back two more times and the radio is still doing the exact same thing. The third time I had it back River City wanted another $600.00 to diagnose the problem, with no guarantee the will fix it.

Hello River City Ford, Noticed a couple of points which are worth mentioning. As I drove into the parking lot and entered the Office, Scott mentioned that he noticed the crack on the windshield of my vehicle, and I think that was impressive, and I haden't even mentioned it yet, great friendly service from Scott and the crew, awesome detailed cleaning job on the inside and outside of my Vehicle.....and ....and it's not even a FORD ha ha... I will visit your location for a detailed cleaning Job, now that I know that this service is available...

I recently purchased another brand new F-150, with John Forbes as the representative and couldn't be happier. John was patient, fair, professional and very friendly throughout the whole transaction. Post support was also fantastic, which is very important on any vehicle. This is my 7th F-150, and all but 2 were bought at this particular dealership. So disappointed with the insurance offered with the car, a lot of promises were made during the sale process and once the deal was closed, the sales person Michelle Z did not respond anymore and changed what she initially said. I would never buy a car from here again. No complaints with the front end service. When signing the loan I felt it was so promising, as soon as the first issue came up, everything vanished.

Wanted a oil change so went to the new quick service desk. Person behind the service desk was very polite and answered all questions. However forgot to mention the special ($15.00 off) until asked about it. Was going to charge regular price, why advertise if only volunteering regular cost. Second mis step was coming declaring the battery needed to be replaced (new battery $193.00 plus installation about $35.00). When questioned what was the warranty left on the original three year old battery, re-checked the computer and realized a mistake ha been made and the weak battery was in some other vehicle. Watched after and service counter person did not go to another customer with the battery story, wonder why? Went out into service area and was approached by service manager. After a few non specific comments explained why our vehicle was on this side in the service bays and not on the quick service side. Apparently quick side was backed up and regular service side had an opening. Also that the technician doing the oil change was a long time employee and had been with Stadium Ford before it moved out west on Portage Avenue and had stayed on through three different Dealer Owner Groups. That was a plus for our vehicle. After parting ways with the service manager went on out to check how the servicing was going. Technician explain what was happening and that he had been a this location since the Dealership had moved to current location!! Finally when went to pay the bill and even after asking if the tire pressure had been checked and the battery checked was advised the complete list of checks had been done with a top up were necessary to any fluids (extra $4.00 charge for this) the receipt was issued with no list attached of items checked!! Would not recommend this location unless you want to walk through the total process asking lots of questions and checking the actual work while in progress.

David is very helpful for getting my car. His explanation to the car is very detailed and easy to understand. It's awesome that the pick up and drop off services is available, very thoughtful for customers don't have a car yet, especially new comers in Canada. Just got the car for a few days, runs well so far, will update later about quality.

I bought my 2011 Ford fusion in for a tire swap, the works and to have repair work done on the rear brakes. The service area found that the car needed quite a bit more work: outer tire rod was loose, left front axle seal was leaking, the front shocks were leaking etc. I left the car to be repaired overnight and picked it up the next day.They gave me a $240 discount on the work as it was significant. The car felt much better when I picked it ; steering was tighter and the brakes more responsive.

Prices quite good on pair for what you pay from a auto shop for a for knock off key and fob. If you can get oem its the way to go. Very clean shop.

CON ARTISTS. Company van had a door hinge fail and this dealership and their auto body dept tried claiming we need a whole new door and such for 3000. Took for a second opinion at Capital Ford on Empress and they fixed it for less than 300 dollars. Avoid this Ford dealership. Either con artists or dont know what they're doing.

I went in to the dealership to test drive a vehicle. My first impression was very good, the salesmen was polite and answered all my questions. I left with a quote on the vehicle I had test drove. Once I got home I looked up the vehicle on their website and found that they quoted me higher than the sticker price. This is extremely unacceptable and disrespectful. If this is how they treat possible clients I would hate to see how they treat you once you've purchased a vehicle from them.

When I first reviewed this business it was 5 stars however as soon as I purchased our car the service plummeted straight to hell. I had to return accessories that were promised to me, I was told I wouldn't have to pay for 3 months than was expected to pay right away which was not part of the deal, we were told tire warranty was included and than they tried to charge us for repairs. My bf brought it in for an oil change and the shuttle service forgot to pick him up and ended up being over an hour late. All around bad experience wish I went somewhere else.

We have had nothing but problems in every aspect since we purchased our vehicle. With the salespeople. With our warranty, we couldn't even get a seat belt fixed under our warranty. & with our oil changes, scheduling appointments and having to reschedule when we arrive causing us to go there for nothing. They took our keys out of our vehicle, causing us to drive all the way home (which is about 45 minutes) and not having a way back to pick them up (because we only have the one vehicle) When our vehicle was broken into while I was 7 months pregnant, they turned us away causing us to go with Boyd, who took 2 months to fix our broken window. Seeing another review which took in their broken window and had no problem fixing their. When our seat belt broke we tried getting fixed through Ford and they AGAIN turned us away to Boyd and Boyd turned us away to FORD. Would NOT recommend this place to anyone

Oil change was fine.. priced as expected. $69.00. Fair price. I advised the service representative of a burnt head light that needed to be replaced. I was not in a hurry. I left the dealership and had some other errands to run. I got a text that the vehicle was ready. When reviewing the bill and the "inspection" report. The head light was not noted. I asked about it..They had not checked or replaced it. They brought the vehicle back in. Checked and replaced the bulb. They tried to lie and said it was working intermittently... The head light had not worked for two weeks.... So after I corrected the error my bill went for$ 69 for the oil change to$125 after taxes etc... For a head light that the part was listed at $12.95.. I had to pay 10.35 for "shop supplies" for the replacement of the head light. On top of the 19 dollars labour.. Thanks Ford.. you have made the decision to lease another vehicle with ford much easier.

I brought my Chevy Impala in to the body shop for an MPI claim. I dealt with Darryl and Grant. Both were very friendly and professional. My car looked great after it was repaired. It was also cleaned for me which exceeded my expectations. I also visited the show room when I was there. The sales staff was very friendly and took the time to talk to me about the Mustang in the show room even though they knew I wasn't there for sales. I had a great experience and will definitely recommend River City to family and friends.

We dropped into River City Ford on a whim - the other used cars we were looking at didn't pan out, and we were driving past. We are so happy we went in. Andrea Barylski was great to work with. She made us feel comfortable immediately and found us a 2014 Escape that fits our needs perfectly. She was patient and answered all our questions. At the end of the negotiations, I feel we got a great vehicle at a great price. And the trade-in we got for our old Jeep was more than fair. I took my older GMC and my 2017 motorcycle in for trade ins on a new F150. I was greated at the door by a nice gentleman who asked me who I was there to see. He quickly located my salesman Nazir Dost who was awesome ????. He knew all about the 2019 F150 I bought and showed me the features of the truck as well as accompanying me on a test drive. After some negotiations we settled on a good trade in value on my truck and motorcycle. Then I met the finance guy Eliot Olin who explained all the extras I could add on to my financing lol ????. I declined the extended warranty package but opted for the rust inhibitor and the paint protection which I paid separately for. At the end of it all the Sales Manager took a picture of me and my new truck along with my sales man Nazir (in the blue jacket below). Thanks River City for a really great vehicle shopping experience and for your excellent customer service????

My visit to River City Ford started by meeting my service advisor Grady who was very friendly and easy to get along with. My car only took 40 minutes, that was great. My bill was less than usual for regular maintenance because of a promotion, that was awesome. To top it all they even cleaned my liscense plate and handle for the trunk so my hand and coat don’t have to get dirty. I’m very satisfied with River City Ford today. The only thing I’d change would be a sticker reminder for my next oil change, I think they forgot.

This past summer (2014) I purchased a previously owned 2012 F150 from River City. I went in with only a basic idea of what features I needed and a budget. Bob Wall did a fantastic job showing me all the options available to me, found a couple trucks that fit my needs, and did everything he could to make sure that I was happy with my purchase even after I had finished signing the paperwork. I recently went in to kick tires on the new 2015 F150's. Bob once again was very helpful even though I had made it clear that I wasn't going to be upgrading for a while. My sales men Tyler Allen was extremely friendly even after I told him that I was simply checking out the new mustang for a future purchase later this year. He was able to understand that because I'm a student I can't afford a new car at this moment, however he still gave me the same experience as any other customer would receive. We recently bought a Ford Explorer ST 2020, from John Forbes, and as usual it was a great experience. She was able to upgrade me into a newer vehicle in better shape, for the same price point, and wasn’t pushy in the slightest like most typically are. I noticed a valve leak on the front drivers tire, and called Kelly about this issue.. and right away she told me that they will pick it up, fix it under the warranty and drop it back off at my house! Booked an appointment for 7:30am to bring my escape in to get one shock replaced. Got there right on time and waited till 1:30 to get my vehicle back. I was not impressed about sitting there for 6 hours. They told me as soon as I got there, the mechanic was finishing up what he had from the day before, before he would get to mine. Whats the point of booking an appointment then? If you told me to drop my vehicle off for the day that would be a different story but there was nothing said. I was expecting 2-3 hours max! I know for a fact it doesn't take that long.

I required the first (8,000 km) servicing early (6500 km) due to the fact that I would be out of province when the odometer reached 8k. I went in to enquire about it and the gentleman that looked after me arranged for the vehicle (f-150) to go in immediately. He was curious and very helpful. I was impressed. 45 minutes later my first service was complete.

TL;DR: Sales team are very accommodating and helpful. Service team hours, shuttle service, and quality of work leave alot of be desired. Edit to 3/5 stars as of January 17th, 2020. The sales team here was excellent. Very helpful and patient. No rushing to get anything done and they were more than ready to help with anything I asked. Unfortunately I wasn't as pleased with their service as soon as I signed. Two days after I signed for the car they asked me to bring the car back for some additions we agreed on. Arranged everything including a shuttle to help me get back and forth to work. Not only were the additions not communicated to the service department but neither was the time window I needed to be back to work. I got back an hour after my lunch which didn't look good and then I asked more than once to be picked up at 3 pm. A little lateness I could forgive. But the shuttle arrived more then an hour after 3 making me wait outside for it. Nothing was done to apologize nor make amends for the disservice. I had to call every 20 minutes to even get the shuttle to come get me. All in all, I would recommend river city ford for sales staff but if you can help it make sure you have alot of extra time for their service. It leaves alot to be desired. Edit: January 17th, 2020. I have already made a comment about service but this is another occurrence I cannot reasonably ignore. As part of the sale of my 2018 ford explorer there was a defect with the 3rd row seating which they promised to fix as soon as the part came in. I was never called to come back, so 3 months after I decided to follow up. Turns out they had the part for a while now, so I set up an appointment. Asked for a shuttle to and from there hoping to have a better experience. The day of I arrive at the store for my scheduled appointment at 12:15 hoping to be driven back to work for 12:30-12:45. It is lunch hour so I can forgive some lateness. But the shuttle does not arrive at the dealership until 1:15, getting me back for 1:30. Disappointing, however not the worst of it. I was promptly picked up at 3 and warned that it may be a little longer until my car was done. 2 hours later I get my car, nothing looks changed but it was an internal component so I didn't expect anything to look different. It was cold out so I didn't test that it was fixed. Today I decided to check... And it's not fixed! How is it that I wait for 3 and half hours all said and done and the work is not done! If my warranty was not with this Ford dealership I would seriously consider going to another one.

One star only because you cant leave zero. I bought my vehicke here but over the 5 years I have had it the service has been uneven. Everything takes so long. A simple oil change takes hours. So I stopped getting them at River City. When the quick lane opened I tried it. Booked an appoinment for first thing in the morning. Turned out that didnt matter the people who didnt book appointments but lined up before the doors opened were served before me. Again, hours for an oil change. A year later and I tried again for a brake job. Booked an appointment but there is no record of it. Waited almost an hour for the shuttle before taking my keys back and leaving. Lesson learned this time.

I had a water pump replaced in Sept./18 I discovered it leaking recently. I brought it to Quick Lane, by request when I called. They put dye in the coolant and asked me to come back a few days later. I did and was informed that Quck Lane can't resolve my issue. I need to have it addressed by the main shop. Derek made an appointment for me on Feb.1/19 with the main shop. When I arrived, they had no record of any appointment and I was turned away. I sent an email, Feb.2/19 about my disappointment with the lack of service and communication. Jules informed me that he would forward my email to the service managers to resolve my issue. It has been days and I haven't heard a thing. I have to drive from Transcona to get my service and will have driven 4 times, if and when they get to this one issue! You would think they would care more considering that they caused my leaking coolant issue in the first place! An update. I was requested to email and give my phone number to discuss my issue. I did as requested and still have not heard from anyone from River City Ford. THEY JUST DON'T CARE! Another update. I am expected to get my oil changes at River City Ford to maintain my lifetime power train warranty. I made an appointment for 8:30 am. I arrived at 8:20 am at the Quick Lane. I did not receive my truck until 10:20 am. The so called 30 minute oil change took 2 hours! They are consistent. Consistently terrible service.

I've purchased two vehicles now at River City Ford, and have always had a positive experience. Both times, I've worked with Darren Lusty, who was attentive and professional. I ways felt like I've gotten a good deal for the purchase price of my car, in fact the first time I purchased a car at River City, I also got a brand new iPad- just days after it was released. Barring any massive changes in customer service (which I don't see happening), I plan on purchasing other vehicles from them in the future.

I don't trust this dealer or any of the others in the Driving Change Automotive Group (which includes Carman Ford, River City Ford and Bennett Dunlop Ford in Regina). They will try every trick in the book to get you into a vehicle. I was shown a truck that was completely covered in dents, and had the bumper tied onto the frame with rope. When I said I wasn't even going to get into that vehicle, the sales manager, Jev, said "Hey so why weren't you interested in that truck?" I almost lost it when he asked and I had to explain the condition of the vehicle and the fact that they're showing trucks that are falling apart. They offered me $12,000 for my truck on trade. I sold it privately for almost double that. Don't ever bother with these three dealerships. They have fake email auto-replies that say "Sorry I'm in the middle of a big sale, and we have a lineup out the door of people interested in our vehicles!" etc. I received multiple responses from different sales staff that read exactly the same. That was an immediate red flag to me, and I have also come to understand that they try to force extras on their customers like window etching and expensive nitrogen tire fills (when they're simply replacing the black valve stems with the green ones, but never actually putting nitrogen in the tires). I'm willing to bet the majority of the positive reviews on Google are fake. Just take a look at how generic the names and comments are and you'll likely start to see a trend in them. Don't trust businesses that are run like this. I never spent a dime here, and I know I never will.

Fantastic experience from everybody at River City Ford. Our salesman Was supposed to send me an offer on Saturday when I originally contacted him which didn’t end up happening, then had the audacity to text me this morning stating he was putting together a deal/ offer with the truck we wanted. Went to go look, and potentially purchase the truck today, only to find out the truck was sold upon arrival. Not only was my time wasted my husband took the day off work for this. I will never step foot in this dealershit again..

I am impressed with the whole situation. We were camping out of town and my transmission light went on. Panicked as the truck wen into limp mode I was able to get to safe location to call Ford road side service. They informed me that it would go to steel town ford. I quickly called them and they told me their transmission guy was on holidays and wouldn’t be able to look at it until next week. Stressing out now cause we had to be out of our campsite the next day. I called back to Ford and Angela was my angel. She heard the worry in my voice and was able to arrange a tow back to Rivercity Ford within the hour. Danny At Rivercity was great help and was very patience with me calling every 2 hours to see how my vehicle was doing cause I needed to my 35ft trailer out of the campsite. He had it ready for pickup at the end of the day and forwarded me the paperwork by email. We hooked up trailer in time and one our way to our next camping spot. Thank you to everyone for ensuring our summer was not interrupted.

If I could post less than one star I would. I had my 4x4 fixed at River city and it still didn’t work. They said it was a different issue now. I even paid $150 for them to tell me what I told them; my 4x4 is still not working. I spent $1300 to not have my truck fixed by them and under $500 to have it fixed by a mechanic. I can’t believe they pull this and are able to sustain a business. Do whatever you can to never do business here.

Went through the Quick Lane and my experience was everything I expected. It was good. One suggestion, with the seemingly high turnover of service counter personnel, the old familiarity with counter staff is gone. I find each time I use the service, I have to review my history with the new person at the desk, even though I’ve been a customer with various vehicles for over 15 years at this location through several changes in Dealership administration. this is my second review and i wish i could give more than 5 stars. got me in short notice before im moving as something wasn't right. gave me great advice to keep my family safe for the drive and to top it off they finally fixed a steering issue that a different shop who installed it was telling me nothing was wrong for months. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! Got me in a day earlier then expected. Fixed my truck up and had me back on the road. More expensive than some places but you get what you pay for. Nice to finally go to a shop where I didn't have to go back afterwards.

We took our car in for a Silver package detailing. The car came back with a mediocre wash job and the carpets haphazardly vacuumed. The cargo area of the vehicle was not vacuumed at all; the rims were still dirty; the seats were not wiped down; really the list goes on and on... I emailed to express my dissatisfaction but received no response. I will not be going back there for this type of service again. Update: the owner responded and asked me to email them my contact info, which I did. I still have not heard back from them... yet they claim to take the feedback very seriously

Had my truck one year - Had to buy all new tires after 6 months as they were extremely worn - Needed my 4x4 system fixed and now dealing with a front Diff that BLEW UP. I've kept up to date on all the maintenance required. I live 4 hours away but drove to River City ford as I'd been searching and waiting for a very specific truck. First Sayed rescheduled my test drive because I got into the city too late - Understandable, but frustrating as I told him I would be there only shortly before closing time. Next day they almost sold the wrong truck to me, which was more expensive, more kilometers and with lots of visible wear and tear also hadn't been cleaned yet after they verified it had been we found chewed sunflower seeds under the floor matt. I caught the difference with the VIN # - turned out the truck I specifically said I was only interested in, was still at their CARMEN Dealer (had no idea it wasn't even at river city). Sales manager was rude and irritable. Nazir was very polite and friendly. They sell you after market warranties from Tricare. They are HORRIBLE. Don't buy it! 8 days and 500 KM before my front Diff blew I had my truck serviced, oil change and full system check which all came back good (paper work along with all my maintenance and photos of damage all sent into tricare), second opinions from other mechanics (at my FORD dealership in Ontario) say, no one is at fault for the blow and it should be covered. Tricare now needs a TEARDOWN and it to stay torn apart until they can approve it and possibly send their own guy down to asses the cause of damage. My truck is in a shop that is a flight and 2.5 hour drive for tricare to make. The entire process will take a minimum of 3.5 weeks from NOW (already 1 week past also) because it is a smaller ford dealership with only 6 bays to work in. I asked river city Ford if they can help me by taking on the repair at their shop as its bigger, has more employees so will take a FRACTION of the time. Also they are the ones responsible for selling me this warranty, ad because the damage is not from me it's not fair to myself nor my local dealership to be tied up with this, ultimately costing me money and them in lost profit. River City told me they moght be able to help, but I would need i towed at MY expense and it would be VERY expensive (2.5 hour drive away) so wouldn't be worth it. Someone in river city service department also told me they were fed up with tricare - Is it just me, or why are you doing it than?? Is it worth the money you make off the sales? Over all, I've dealt with more then one rude employee from River CIty, I've gotten poor service, have a truck thats poor quality and dealing with a very difficult warranty. I'm out lot's of money - and possibly 5 grand in repairs more, MINIMUM if Tricare finds a way out. Not to mention the 1520 MIN in rental fees that wont be covered and the cost of the TEAR down (2-3 day job) requested by TRICARE. Overall - just don't do it. It's not worth it. This is the first review (aside from the same review on river city on a different site) I've EVER written. I've never had to desire, and I'm not one to complain, but what has and is still happening is not right, unfair, crooked, frustrating, expensive, and quite honestly extremely exhausting. EDIT - Staff are working with me to take over my current truck that is still stranded in Kenora Ont, and get me into a new 2018 model for slightly more then What I'm paying now. We'll see how it goes but I'm hopeful.

Bought a brand new car and got in return a lot of issues: - Warranty expired before 3 years. - They got me an extended warranty for the mess that happened to my 3 years warranty, but I could not use anywhere but at River City. - They did not do the tire rotation as promised. - They could not identify an issue in the shocks, so I took to another dealership and this one fixed right away. - Booked an appointment and took the car to fix the hydraulics in the lift gate, but I had to return another day because there was a problem with the parts. I have been with Ford since 1996 and have had prepaid maintenance ever since so I have been to several Ford dealers/Quicklanes for years and have had good service from all and most. This Quicklane is good but compared to my home Quicklane Cam Clark Ford in Red Deer, they fo not work with the customer as they should. If there is a problem that they find, they say you have to book in with the main shop so they can look into it more as with the Quicklane in Red Deer, they will get a qualified mechanic to look into it while the vehicle is in the shop so they can let you know what the next step should be before you leave and parts could be ordered. Not real happy with the service there but the ladies at the desk were friendly as a bonus. I wish all Quicklanes could be on the same playing field to make things easier.

I had my 2014 escape at River City Collision after hitting a dear and causing considerable damage (around $9000). I had to be sent to River City Ford for some minor work I think maybe reprogramming the computer. While there the service manager contacted River City Collision and told them there was a massive oil leak on the transmission, which was totally unrelated to the accident, and had advised my AutoPac adjuster of this. The estimated repair cost was somewhere around $1500. When I spoke to the service manager he said this problem occurs all the time with this vehicle and thats why AutoPac was advised it was not related to the accident. I told him I had never seen a drop of oil on my garage floor but he was not interested in listening. My AutoPac adjuster obviously was happy with the information. I had the vehicle towed to my local repair shop in Portage la Prairie, who advised me there was a seal and few other items that needed replacing, total cost around $400. I would never go to this dealership for any kind of service, as they obviously upsell and lie to customers

I just want to start this off by saying that this is the first review I have ever wrote. I recently bought my third vehicle from River City Ford and at this point I almost feel obligated to share my amazing experience. I first bought a Focus, then a F150 and now my third vehicle from them. I decided that it was time to trade in my truck and get something a little more economical. I decided to shop around for trade in values as any smart car buyer would. After a few trips to other dealerships, I realized I had wasted my time and should have just brought it into the place that I trust the most. River City gave me $5000 more on my F150 than any other dealership was offering!! I had explained to them that I was either considering a Focus, Corolla or Civic. They understood that I was trying to find what I wanted most and didn’t try to pressure me into buying one of their vehicles. After a couple of days I had decided that I wanted a Civic. When I told them this, they were excited. This may seem a little strange, but they were excited that I had come to a decision and were still looking forward to helping me get the vehicle regardless of the fact that I had decided against buying a Focus this time around. Now, of course I did my research as to what the value of the Civics were and what the sales prices were as well. After a couple days of searching they found me exactly what I wanted! I am glad I was patient and I am thankful that they took the time to find me my perfect vehicle. On top of that, they beat the sales price of any other dealership in the city for the vehicle (including the Honda dealerships themselves!) We came to a deal after a bit of haggling which you can expect with any business if you want to get the best deal. We shook hands and everyone was happy with the sale of my Civic. I signed the financing paperwork and was off with my new car! A couple days later, I had found that there was a mistake on the bill of sale due to a miscommunication. It seemed that I was charged $1000 over what the deal was. So the very next day I went into River City and went over paperwork with them and they explained it all to me. I thought to myself ‘Oh great. I managed to get used off of buying a car.’ Well what do you think happened next? They cut me cheque for $1000!!! That was the deal that we made and that was the deal they stuck to! I feel that this shows HUGE integrity on their part and they have definitely earned a life long customer. I sincerely hope that you go to River City for your next vehicle. At least let them prove to you that they can beat any deal that you may get offered anywhere else. I want to send out my utmost gratitude to Darren Lusty my salesman, Kelly Walsh and Corey Burns my sales manager (which really felt more like an old buddy than a sales manager) as well as Jev the used vehicle manager. I'm disappointed in my visit on Feb 1/19 I took my truck in for a recall for the block heater to be checked along with an oil change, and the rear wheel nut replaced. When I picked up my truck the representative said that the block heater was okay to use and I said that the plug end has the ground piece cut off of it. I was told that they checked the part from the block heater and that it’s fine I feel it’s a safety concern and it should of been replaced. I wasn’t aware this was done to the block heater cord end till I started using it during this extreme cold spell this last week. I purchased this truck in April /2018. The one wheel nut that was missing on the right rear side was not replaced until I asked about. I was told since the tire change was done on the quick lube side I had to go over there. One of your representatives walked me over and spoke to someone at the Quick lube side and I was informed it was not done but it will be replaced. I also noticed after driving off the lot they didn't replace the new oil sticker on the windshield for my next oil change time. The oil change was done, but honestly little things like this being missed says to me that it was a rushed job. If you want a customer to be loyal to your dealership you have to do the little things to make us feel valued as a customer and want to come back for all our servicing and future vehicle purchases.

Right off the bat, the staff was VERY welcoming and friendly which was more than lacking at at least one of the others that I went to. They were happy to show me a couple of cars that were what I described that I was looking for and had them ready QUICKLY for a test drive. My salesman...the finance guy...and even one other sales woman were all an absolute pleasure to deal, very personable, and made the process enjoyable!!! Every time I have to call to get an update and they say they'll get back to me. Every 2 weeks I call back hoping somebody would have an answer. Boy they sure were quick to answer the phone and get back to me when they wanted my business.

Covid19 protocols in place I noticed distancing pads on floor but no hand sanitizer available. I was handed my keys by someone not wearing gloves and no wipes for me to wipe them down, I guess I must trust that everyone washed before touching them. I realize during this time insides of vehicle might not be cleaned but do expect at min a spray wash for a $80 oil change. Just a bit underwhelmed.

I took my car in for one purpose and they tried to tell me that numerous things were wrong and charge me almost $2000. After receiving my car they left my transmission oil dip stick laying under the hood, my battery was loose and they lost one of my lug nut covers. I have called and all I have been told is that they would look into it. I never received a call back or any help with these issues. You would think paying almost $1000 you wouldn’t have to worry about finding things WRONG with your car when it was suppose to be getting fixed. You lost my service.

Our Sales Consultant John Forbes was very personable, professional & informative on both the vehicle and the purchase process and it was such a pleasure dealing with him. River City’s upfront pricing was very helpful to us as well because we knew the price of our new Escape before we even walked in the door. In addition, Delivery Coordinator, Seth Giesbrecht was a great pleasure to deal with. Seth made sure that our new vehicle was ready for pickup as scheduled and walked us through the vehicle orientation process with clarity & reassurance. In addition, Seth took us on a tour of River City Ford which included the Parts, Service & Quick Lane departments. In closing I must say that looking around the dealership, I am left with the opinion that all the staff I encountered seemed to be genuinely happy working at River City Ford. A sentiment I can relate to, because as a customer, I am also very happy with my dealings with RCF.

Big mistake. 3 hours for an oil change and tire rotation.. Not cool. I don't live close so I was in limbo trying to kill time in the area. Didn't expect a three hour wait. I would not recommend this dealership. We felt very RIPPED OFF as we left. No materials were used. This was JUST a 40 point inspection.. WE ARE STILL IN DISBELIEF AND DISCUSSED. My husband and I purchased a new 2017 Ford Explorer with the Sport package from Andrea. We were lead to believe it was a "new" vehicle but it wasn't. It had 350 km on it and a scratch on the steering colum. When we brought the scratch to their attention they made it out that we did it and that they would replace the part but we would have to pay to have it installed. Ridiculous on a $50,000 vehicle....my husband complained and they changed their tune and replaced it for free... While I was waiting to have the part replaced my salesperson Andrea walked by me about a half a dozen times but not once acknowledged me. Seriously you can't say hi to a customer that bought a vehicle only 2 weeks before? Poor customer service. Plus the fact that the part was installed incorrectly and my husband at home took it off and installed it right. Overall very poor customer service.

Extremely rude service department who treated me (71 years old) like I did not know what I was talking about. Surprised that they would not know I had purchase 7 new vehicles from them in past five years. More importantly it is not the first time I have received rude service. No one seems to care. On the flip side of this is the great service provided by our sales manager Bob Wall and the Finance manager Jenny Silverstein. Hard to believe this could happen in one company. I want to be a loyal customer but need a reason to be.

I bought a vehicle from River City back in February. During my purchase I advised I have a camper trailer that I would need a hitch and electrical installation. I asked for a quote if I were to come back for this and I was told it would be $529.80. I made an appointment to come in yesterday and mentioned many times I would need the hitch and corresponding electrics. When I got there they asked if I had a reference number for my quote (I did not). I was then told that my file indicated that I have the equipment (I never once indicated this...why would I have the equipment?). Furthermore, I was asked if I'd also want the electrical hooked up because that would be over $300 more. Of course I would need the electrical. I indicated this several times. I can't be driving around with a trailer and no brake lights. The staff members there shrugged and said, "Sorry, nobody told me." They asked if I wanted them to go ahead and get it done but frankly my trust and confidence in them was gone by this point and I left.

Had an appt booked for 8 but my truck didn't get in until 12 and since there is no shuttle service it really impacted my day. They did however provide me a military discount which I really appreciated.

Pretty easy to deal with... EXCEPT watch your negotiations carefully when the verbal part is done. They are pretty clever at not putting it into the contract. They ripped me off $1,000.00 dollars by taking off the $1000 credit from being a Costco member off ahead of the negotiated price. Not after like we expected. A $1000.00 still means something to me! That was after tax deductions hard earned Canadian dollars! My recourse to never, yes I said NEVER! go back to their dealership for ANYTHING that will take further hard earned dollars out of my pocket. Fool me once shame on you! If you think you will have a second opportunity... ummm nope! Question for the masses, when you bought something from them, I mean like a NEW car, did you get the colour you wanted? Good day, I rated 1 star for the fact that Fords have always been my favourite. Rivercity ford has been the worst experience for me. I was sold a used truck and it was already registered to someone else. This truck had over 500 km and identified as new with zero km in the paperwork. I refused this initial truck and should not have accepted the next deal. With my initial deal I requested and had disability insurance. They rewrote the deal and failed to include disability coverage. Shortly after I became ill and unable to work to cover payments. I am recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia and sjogrens syndrome and looking at repossession of my truck. I tried calling rivercity ford to ask to cancel my extended insurance to help cover late payments. I left several messages on various voice mails, no call back. I initially started going there for service with a previous truck and then river city ford started calling me to request I trade in my old truck. Sure sounded good at the time!

it is with grate disappointment that i have to leave a negative review as a fleet owner with over 20 units to look after the last experience has left a very bad inspersion of river city ford on a 2017 ford transit we had to have the turbo replaced at 98 k . 7 k later it quit working the service manager david walker tried to tell me that the other turbo failed and took out the new one being a mechanic myself i found that very hard to believe as it is not in tandem but a parallel unit after getting a price to replace both turbos i decided to have a expert in the turbo business have a look at it as we where doing i inspection on it to see what failed we found a nut that was left in the intake air supply had caused the turbo to fail after showing the results to river city ford they offered to cover a bit over 1/2 of the repair cost all i asked was to have the total repair cost covered not the 3 weeks of lost time foe the service van . if this was a reputable company it would i will not be recommending them to any that includes all of there stores Carmen ford Regina store and Moosejaw ford we will now have to have a 3 rd party decide the outcome

Made an appointment to have the oil change done on the same day to my 2 vehicles. After scheduling the first one, I was told that no need to schedule the 2nd vehicle. I can just let the customer service know and they can do it right away. After the first one was done, I was told that they can't do it and that I need to make an appointment. Upon looking at my invoice when I got home, I noticed that there were several items that were not mentioned.The service representative in the past has gone over the entire checklist, it did not happen the last few times. I also noted that with Winter coming on they did not mention the strength of my antifreeze. I was told that my left rear shock was leaking and I would be receiving an estimate to replace it via email. What is that all about, and by the way, I have as yet received this estimate.There was no mention of pandemic safeguards, such as wiping down any interior surfaces with a disenfectant that the service department may have touched. I'm rather disapointed with the professionalism shown with my last few visits.

I had submitted a request online to have river city ford contact me. Immediately that same day I was contacted and told that a salesman would contact me ASAP which he did. I spoke with joe the general sales manager over the phone, negotiated a deal for an new F150 they had online for a better price than they were offering on an already discounted truck!!! Took my 2018 ford f350 to River City Ford, we just noticed a vibration on take off (we were hauling a 44ft toy hauler trailer). I called 2 other ford dealerships in the Winnipeg area no luck couldnt help me wouldn't even entertain any thought of even looking at it. I called River City Ford and talked to someone and they said bring it in, but I had to unhook the trailer. So I did on some back street and drove over to RCF. I was met by a woman name Ruth-Ann Klassen, she took my info and said I will take a vehicle off the lift and check it out. She had Yonan check it(I think that was his name). Will in about 10mins she came and got me, took me back and show me that the bolts for the driveshaft hanger was really loose and one missing. I cannot say enough about these two outstanding people Ruth-Ann Klassen and Yonan. In times like we are in now this experience renewed my faith, that there is still people that care. I hit the breaking point...finally. One finance guy and one sales guy failed terribly in my opinion. My experience at River City Ford was excellent. We have owned an Escape 2013 since we bought new off the lot in 2012 and have had no major issues. When we take in for regular service we are treated fairly and service is quick. We have now purchased a new 2020 Ecosport and the process was quick and efficient. I took my f350 in for some repairs/safety near the end of August. It took quite a while for the service department to get back to me, as to what was needed for said repairs. And then, as I was told only after repeated phone calls, supply issues were a factor as to the length of time the repairs were taking.... All in all, communication was very poor on River city. My truck is finally ready after 3 months.... ugh

This was my first time using River City Ford's Service Department. I had a recall issue that needed fixing. From the beginning everything was great. Elizabeth was both friendly and efficient. She called me with some service notes and made sure everything I wanted fixed got taken care of. The shuttle service was on time and friendly both ways. At the end of the day when I was picking my vehicle up I happened to have a discussion with Chris. I see by the website he is the Shop Manager. My wife bought a vehicle from this dealership a couple months ago. We were promised 1 free oil change and '50%' all future oil changes for the life of the vehicle. We did inquire how much an oil change would be at the price point of 50% off prior to purchasing the vehicle...the dealership sales man had stated it was around $40. (okay, that's a fair price). So my wife goes in for an oil change and of course there is no '1 free oil change' on her file....then the oil changed costed $73 (apparently that is 50% off, $146 for a 6 cyl oil change (full price)). I thought we were nice and friendly to the staff, we didn't hassle for money off, but still the words of the salesman and associates were not honored. Shame on us for believing them. Unfortunately I would not recommend this dealership to family/friends.

Couldn’t be less pleased. I would not buy an air freshener from this shop. Told me I needed a new fuel line. Part was 350 and total bill was to be 1200. I told them I wanted mine fixed instead of replaced. Their mechanic agreed and said that is what he would do on his own truck. Said they would have it fixed the next day. Waited till the afternoon of the next day to call and say they wouldn’t fix it. Said they would now only replace it While at the same time emphasizing that their mechanic said he would fix it if it was his own truck. Had the truck towed to another shop.

We were looking at a few trucks, they showed us one of the more expensive ones not the trucks we were wanting to and came to look at and did not give us a chance to tell them which one we wanted to see instead they showed us one with all of our "wants" in it, were not at all willing to negotiate whatsoever. When it came down to negotiations and they did want to hear what we had to say and just asked if were buying it today or not. When we answered that we needed to think about the pre-owned manager who was with us and the sales associate got up and left, did not thank us for coming in or shook our hands. When we told them the one we wanted to see they told us they just sold it, but a few days later they called us and told us they didn't sell it and they would give us a "great deal." I just want other people to be aware of the shadiness of this dealership and do your research when buying a vehicle as it is one of the biggest purchases you will make.

Been a loyal River city customer since purchasing my truck in 2015. I knew my warranty was going to expire this year so I decided to get a couple things looked at that were bothering me. Paid $220 for a coolant inspection, brake inspections, and 1/2 price oil change. I was then quoted $3000 for repairs on what they discovered. I asked if my warranty covered any of the coolant leak repairs of which I was notified of and was told that I was just over the amount of kms so it was now voided. Warranty expires in Oct 2021/120000 kms. I was at 126000. With my warranty not being honoured, I decided to get a second opinion from an other shop. They told me that there were no issues with most of what i paid river city to inspect. I went from a quote of $3000 from river city to having all my repairs done for $500. River city’s sales team, and quick lane guys are top notch. I have nothing bad to say about them!!

Brought my vehicle in as the key fob was inconsistently being detected by the vehicle and for an oil change. When I brought it in before 9am I’d said that I’d need the vehicle back before 3pm so the woman at the desk marked down “by 2:30” to ensure it would be ready when I needed it. When I called them at 2:07pm they were still working on the vehicle and a man tried to brush me off saying that someone would call me when it was ready. I was later told that the key fob seemed fine and they did nothing with it, which was disappointing. The woman at the service desk was pleasant and helpful though. They did the oil change which was good but, unlike my previous Toyota dealership, they didn’t wash the vehicle or even top up the washer fluid (it clearly needed both!). These are the kinds of “service” items that go a long way to making a good impression but are things that Ford considers extras I guess. Again, rather disappointing.

I was just there to get my car oil changed and the usual maintenance/fluid check. It was fast and when I check the receipt. All fluid check was ticked on OK but when I got home and open the hood to check. The fluids are all way below the minimum line. I guess that's why it took less than 30 min for the whole process because the tech did not bother to check everything and just ticked the boxes for OK.

One star is too high. Took my new ranger in for its first oil change. Knew that dealership changes were not cheap but would give them a shot. Had them go over the checklist regarding what is looked at and it did include checking tires. Did not check off the box or mention looking for recalls. Main advantage to a dealership as it keeps vehicle current and is free money for them. Went outside and looked at dash display of tire pressures. Tires all above 36. One at 52. Recommended pressure 32. Asked to talk to manager. Adviser did not let me and still no phone call one day later. Fixed pressures myself in lot.

We went to River City Ford to have a look at a C-Max, which is Ford's smaller Hybrid vehicle. Chose River City Ford in part due to all the sponsorship of community events that they provide in our small town. Met with Chelsea, our sales person, who explained the vehicle fully to us and allowed us to take it for an extended test drive. When it came to negotiations on the vehicle that was quick and painless. We were trading in a used truck and Kelly the Used Car Sales Manager made us a fair offer on the truck. Jev the New Car Sales Manager gave us an unbelievable price on the C-Max. We couldn't refuse the deal. Chelsea was there for us throughout the entire process, answering all of our questions and always living up to commitments. Anytime we had to change appointment times she made it work and things always happened on time. We had Elliot as a Finance person. He explained our options in particular with regard to extended warranty. He presented it in a clear, easy to understand, manner. We don't normally purchase extended warranty but in this case it made no sense to turn it down. As a result of River City Ford and their excellent staff we went from driving an older truck that was going to need some work done to it soon to now driving a brand new energy efficient vehicle that gets unbelievable fuel economy for not a lot of money. And now we don't have to worry about repair bills for the next 7 years. How could we turn that down? Everybody was so helpful and they all lived up to all of their commitments.

Needless to say when advisor was reminded of service agreement, it was put through, however no brake inspection or tire rotation. Oh well, guess that comes out of my pocket. Nice guys though

Went to River City Ford for an oil change and tire rotation in April on my day off and had a horrible experience. Was asked twice by the quick lane guy if I had extended warranty, which I believe was none of his business. But I did inform him that my 2010 Flex was 10 years old and that it expired 4 years ago. A few days later I got an email for over $2000 dollars worth of work. I think it was because my vehicle is 10 years old and I am a woman. Will never go back again. How you treat people is horrible.

I just had my F150 serviced at River City Ford for a faulty O2 sensor. I was looking at a bill of 550.00 for parts and labour, however I asked them not to do the work. As such I was only planning on paying the diagnostic fee of 145.00. Unfortunately the technician did the work on the truck without my consent. River City advised me of this error, assured me that I would only pay the diagnostic fee as I had not approved the work. I want to thank River City Ford for their honesty and integrity. I have been going to River City Ford for a few years now and have always been pleased with their service, but I am extremely disappointed in my last visit. I took my vehicle in for an oil change and was advised that I should take advantage of their Winter Works promotion right now, advertised at 20% off for $74.95. I booked the service and upon processing the payment found out there is a $20 shop supplies fee on top of the cost of service. The advisor could not comment on what this cost covered and advised this is normal for North American Auto Shops. I have no problem paying a reasonable cost for shop supplies, but 25% of the cost of service for shop supplies is unreasonable. At the very least, this added cost needs to be added to the advertisement, so consumers are fully aware of the cost of service before entering into a service transaction.

If I could give zero stars I would. They ripped me off so hard on my first truck. I was told I would get free tire repairs for a year after purchase but when I needed a tire fixed they fought with me the whole way. They finally caved and told me the tire would be fixed within 20 mins. It took 4 hours, and I had to sit in the lobby and wait. 4 hours for a simple tire repair!!!! What a scam. I was paying for warranty they didn't want to give me and paid well beyond what a basic model truck should have. They defiantly saw me as a young kid and took advantage.

Discovered an issue with my 2013 Ford Edge and contacted River City Ford's Collision Centre to get an idea of what it would cost to repair. Trina was fantastic at helping my out and getting me an estimate. Ultimately I decided to trade it in for a new one, and she set me up with John over in the Sales department. I ended up purchasing my 2018 Ford Edge from them! Have to say everyone I dealt with was excellent. There was never pressure to do the repair or to buy, just people that really wanted to help me do what was right for me. They gave me a very fair trade in price on my old car and accommodated me when I asked to pick up my new car early. They even gave me a tutorial on the features of the vehicle and how all the accessories work, and then followed up a few days later to make sure everything was still ok! Would definitely consider working with this dealership the next time I need a vehicle.

I arrived a little early for my appointment, and then proceeded to wait over an hour past my appointment time for and oil change. When I asked about the wait time, I was told they try to get it in within forty minutes of your appointment. Why make an appointment? Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

Customer Service was good, everyone I dealt with was nice and accommodating. Had gotten rear-ended and had damage that needed to be repaired. Work that was done was good and done in timely fashion. Giving it 3/5 because of the numerous things done, I had to send it back to fix 4 additional things that they either missed or did not complete to my satisfaction. Afterwards, still one thing that "put new brackets for" and is still not right. Will probably try another shop if damage occurs again.

I was very disappointed in the service. I booked it for 9:30. Didn’t show up till 11:30. Called me at 2:09 to say it was done and sent me the bill. Had to wait till 4:45 for car to be delivered. I had things to do and my whole day was put on hold. Spoke to the gentleman who drove my car home about how upset I was and he said they were busy. I don’t really care how busy they are! If you make an appointment you should keep to it. Changing tires doesn’t take long at all. I’ve getting them changed there for a few years so I know.

Tyler Lemire in the sales department was very knowledgeable, friendly, and had an amazing personality. I would say he is the best in the business, I have bought a lot of new cars and have visited many dealerships, he is hands down the most professional young man that we have ever dealt with. I purchased paint protection and other accessories, while waiting for this to be done, I was lucky enough to take home a beautiful new 5.0 mustang until it was finished. When it finally came to picking up our ST and we saw the detailing they did, I was blown away, not one swirl or streak in the paint, it is like glass. I have never seen black paint look so good and this is my third black vehicle!! I cannot say enough about how happy my wife and I are with our experience at River City. Absolutely horrendous service. I set up an appointment a week in advance to get new tires and a windshield replacement, as well as a few safety recall items and an oil change. The tires were not ordered (they called me after I had dropped the truck off to ask which ones I want, after they had assured me the week prior that they were ordering them). After that delay the body shop called me asking what it was the truck required, as the parts/service department did not let them know the truck was coming in so the windshield wasn't ordered either. They also did not do the requested oil change. After three full days with the truck, they had only completed half of the work, the windshield was never ordered, and they tried to overcharge me about $500 above the tire quote. The salesperson supposedly "forgot" that there was a sale on. It took 3 attempts by 2 different employees just to get close to the quoted price, though still over by a few dollars with no reasonable explanation as to why. Finally a manager came over and told the employees to honour the quote. Three full days in the shop, only half the work done, and tried to overcharge me by $500. Zero stars

The people in the body shop, are excellent. Kelly has made the experiences that I have been there for more than welcoming and accommodating, kudos to you guys. The Sales and Service/ Financing departments are not their strong point in my opinion. I had many obstacles to overcome in the purchase of my factory ordered Ford F-150 EcoBoost from Kyle Forcier. As for the Service department if it wasn't for the extended warranty I purchased from River City I would not take my vehicle to this service department. I am still dealing with people in the service department, dating back to 2014/ 2015 for promises not fulfilled. I am extremely disappointed from the lack of customer service this department has given. The manager of this department (Derek Walker) has a lack of care and customer service for not dealing or resolving the issues at hand. He hasn't resolved the issues I've been having with my vehicle going back to 2015, he doesn't return messages I have left and has not set up a resolution appointment for accessories he claims can not be installed after I had purchased them from the sales side. Not to mention I have been through over half a dozen service writers when taking my vehicle in for appointments. These are my personal opinions about this particular dealership.

He made sure to give me a proper estimate of time on how long everything would take for my vehicle from just the oil change to my Express Wash overall he was just a really friendly guy same with everyone else that was working there at the time definitely a great experience.I was there with my month old daughter and he even came over to me and showed you pictures of his 10-month-old daughter and talk to me about kids in general which was really nice to build rapport with him definitely going to come back.

My experience was very negative from the beginning. I took my truck in for some steering issues, they threw some parts at it and didn’t fix it. When I dropped the truck off the ABS light was not on, when I picked it up it was on. I asked them to have a look at it to which they replied that they would have to charge me. A diagnosis would not take long but they still chose to go this route to charge me instead of keeping good customer service. I then spoke to the manager, Derek and tried to explain my situation to him which he fully took his employees side which is understandable but argued with me that I was still in the wrong. I will never take any vehicle back to this dealer and recommend you don’t either.

I just good a one year old F150 FX4 from River City Ford .Tom Illiopolis worked really hard to get me in that truck. He give me top dollar for my trade in , he really took his time , and not tried to push me to get the purchase order signed. As i picked up the truck the next day , he was cleaned professional, tank filled up to the top, even temponary insurance for one week organized - all ready to get the truck rolled home -with no extra charge at all. He explain me every feature on the truck . Tom is a very friendly ,professional sales person who did everything he possibly could do to get me in this truck and see me satisfied leaving the lot. Elliot Olin find me the best deal on financing what suits my budget and explained me my options to protect the truck. Over all the purchase at River City Ford was for me a very positive and comfortable experience . I should've known better to go back to this place... I was in the market for a new truck, trying to downsize and save some money in the process. I went in and sales staff was friendly, helpful, and did an overall good job finding a great truck that was exactly what I was looking for. The truck was at a different dealer so they would bring it in. I went through the deal process and came up with a number I could live with, I just needed to talk it over with my wife over the weekend (was in friday) came back in the morning Tuesday (long weekend) to sign the deal and get the truck. Now suddenly the deal that I was working on had changed. "Well, that was friday" I was told, now the payment has gone up quite a bit. That's not going to happen, I was already at the top of what we wanted to spend and wasn't going to deal with a price increase based on not buying the truck that day. That's completely ridiculous. I feel bad for the sales guy that did a great job not getting paid because of the management pulling that ridiculous stunt. I won't be back there, and I will recommend that everyone else stay away as well. Which is good because my dad was also looking at a truck. Glad I could save him the headache.

The quick lane service was extremely fast. Got the call in about 40 min that is was done. Very convenient that it is open on Saturday too. Only negative was they are not able to do my block heater cord recall and I will have to make an appointment. Great for oil changes and tire rotations.

Service department is awful, worst I've been to. Never had a good experience and I've been several times. Most recently took my work truck in to have my winter tires swapped for summer, dropped it off on my day off as I depend on the vehicle for work. Picked it up the next business day and signed my paperwork, all seemed well. The next day they call me and tell me they forgot to put my summer tires on and they were still there, I would have to come back. Do yourself a favor and don't use their service department ever.

There was quite the mix up about where my winter tires were and my car not being booked time for the extras I needed looked at. Once the mistake was fixed and rebooked service was good. I believe the price for tire change out with storage is more than average and not too pleased about that. But since this is where I bought the car and need to have it serviced. That’s where they are.
