Mais si vous avez le malheur de dire oui à la question "voulez-vous que nous entreposions vos pneus ici?" ne pensez pas que vous pouvez prendre rendez-vous dans un autre garage, faire un arrêt chez Longueuil Toyota pour prendre vos pneus et aller les faire installer ailleurs. Non, car les pneus prennent 48 heures avant de pouvoir être sorties de leur entreposage. Vous avez bien lu: 48 heures de préavis si vous voulez vos pneus. Le comble est probablement aujourd'hui par contre. En effet, il y a deux mois, ma Yaris a eu un accident (elle s'est fait ramasser par une gratte durant la nuit). Amenée chez Longueuil Toyota, elle a été déclarée perte totale. Aujourd'hui, le service m'appelle pour savoir pour quand je veux prendre rendez-vous pour mon changement d'huile. Encore une fois, vous avez bien lu. Longueuil Toyota me demande si je veux faire le changement d'huile de ma Yaris qu'ils ont eux-même déclaré perte totale. J'ai pas été plus loin avec la petite dame au bout du fil, même si elle me proposait de, encore une fois, laisser ma Yaris chez eux pendant 24hr pour un vulgaire changement d'huile. C'est des perdus, du début à la fin.

Car needed major repairs within days, warranty refused. Beware of their dishonest selling practices! During a test drive with a used car, vendor Stéphane Pitt told us that we would have a one month warranty in case anything was wrong. This was confirmed by Stéphane again after the drive. Furthermore, he told us that the car would be fully inspected by a Toyota mechanic and all problems would be fixed. He rushed us through the contract, which was in French while he knew we only speak English. When I asked him to translate a section, he told me that I should not worry: if there was a problem, we would just come back and it would be fixed. An independent inspection at another garage immediately after purchase showed that the rear shocks were leaking oil and needed replacement. We went back; their Toyota mechanic confirmed this issue. Suddenly, we were told that only the engine and transmission were part of the warranty, despite earlier guarantees that all problems would be fixed for free. Stéphane claimed that these damages may have occurred while we were driving to the other garage (during a 20 km drive, two shocks start leaking oil at the same time?!). The manager (Marc Daigle) told us that the limited warranty was stated in the (French) contract. Even after translating the contract, we could not find a section that specified the warranty. We ended up having to pay over $400 in repairs ourselves. But even then it did not end: one month later the newly installed shocks broke down again. We went to another garage this time, they told us the Toyota dealer had installed defective shocks. If you think of buying here, have the car inspected by an independent garage before signing the contract. But I would really advise to go to a better and honest Toyota dealer in the area, there are many around.
