i really thought my experience was one of a kind, but then again, after reading the reviews here, i realized that i was not the only one who had a kinda "roller coaster" first experience dealing with That Car Place and That Auto Repair Place tandem! All were said and done, of course, who would not gonna be worried if you've experienced having your car for just a few days then something went wrong. To cut the story short, they do proved that they have word of honor and stand to their claims. To Kal, Robert, Dan and the mechanic who fixed my car, thanks a lot. i've learned a lot based on the experience i had from you all. Very difficult to get a hold of service staff, I had a 1000km warrantee on the vehicle I purchased from them and they wouldn't call me back so that I could get it fixed within the warrantee even after calling several times. The breaks were making weird noises and random lights would come up on the dash board. Brought the car bak to that car place and they said they fixed the car, not even 15 minutes down the road and the issues happened again. Brought the car to another shop and they pulled this out of the car. Very unhappy with the shop, they should have caught this. Will not go back.

I work out of the country and had made an appointment (5 days prior to returning to Canada) to test drive a vehicle upon my return. We had high hopes for this vehicle and scheduled our day around driving into London (approx 45 minute drive), test driving the car, and hopefully buying it. To our disappointment, when we showed up, the vehicle was in the shop with all 4 tires removed, up on the lift, completely undriveable. How does a business operate like this? Anytime in my life i've made an appointment to test drive a vehicle it's always ready to drive when I show up.The salesperson showed a little bit of remorse but didn't seem too worried about it. No resolution provided, no offer as to when the vehicle would be ready to drive. Just basically an "oops, sorry about". Monumental waste of my time, gas, and patience.

Follow-up Review Bought a car from Kal and he gave me 2 keys to the car. I locked my keys in my car in the middle of a blizzard late at night. I had my someone drive me the spare key from the other side of the city - only to discover Kal had given me a key to a random car on their lot. After texting him about this he expressed no concern for what had happened (I had to call a towing company and was absolutely freezing outside of my car), nor did he express concern about having the key back in his inventory. Instead he said something about how usually they don't even give 2 keys for a car. I would think he would feel embarrassed that he had given me a key to a completely different car, or at least try to get the key back. I still have it! He also said that if I were to go on Google and write a review about my experience that he would send me 2 movie tickets. It's been a year and a half and no tickets. I've brought this up to him and he says he will send them or pass them to his cousin that I used to work with and nothing. Not to sound petty, but I am a person of my word. I work in sales and I deliver what I say I will deliver. Even if it's something as small as a couple of movie tickets. It shows your customers that you weren't just a dollar in their pocket and helps with return customers.

Overall, amazing experience and would recommend them, although there was a hiccup with some details about the vehicle. It was worth the drive for me to get to them, 3 hours each way. The salesman Jeff was very friendly and straight forward! The other salesman at the office was great and helped entertain my 2-year-old while we were there. Jeff helped arrange things so we could appraise our trade in and leave with the vehicle we were interested in within just a few hours of us arriving. Anya in finance was great! She got us a prime rate and explained every fee, nothing was hidden or misrepresented. The mechanics went above and beyond with safetying the vehicle for us the same day and also putting all new brakes on the car even though there was enough to pass the safety inspection. Everyone worked hard for us and it made a huge difference, definitely a different experience from the other 5 car dealerships we attempted to work with. We also got more than a fair price for our trade in. There were some features listed in the ad that weren't actually on the vehicle. When I informed Jeff of this, he immediately reached out to try to make things right. I would 100% recommend That Car Place, we had overall a great experience. Definitely worth checking out all the features listed on the ad before driving away like we did. With it being such a quick transaction, it's understandable some things were confused with the features and again, they tried to make it right when we reached out. We got the car we wanted at a prime interest rate, got a great value for our trade in, received amazing service from friendly staff and really loved working with everyone here. Thanks, guys!

I think there was a rough transition period from the one sale guy leaving. Then, all new staff only a few weeks after buying my car. The car I bought had a few problems, the guy who sold it to me insured me everything would be fixed. He ordered only one part when I needed several missing parts that needed to be replaced, and he quit. I had to call in a month later, wondering if the parts were in, and to get the cars parts replaced. They fixed the one part they ordered a month earlier and I had to tell them about more broken parts in the car that they seemed to not care about the first time they ordered parts. They wouldn't buy a missing grille. These things should have been ordered all at once and replaced. Instead they look over missing parts and will not care about it. When you buy a used car make sure you find everything that's wrong with it before you buy it. Then have them sign a written agreement to fix those parts or replace missing parts. Or have your mechanic look at it and tell you the parts it's missing and would need before you buy it. Cheers guys, Dont rush

I encountered some unforeseen problems with the vehicle a few days after I picked it up, and That Car Place fixed and replaced what was necessary within a couple of days. COMPLETE WASTE OF MY TIME!! Made an appointment to test drive and purchase a truck. I filled out the loan pre approval well in advance and let the salesman know that I was 2.5 hours away and coming down on the upcoming Saturday. So I showed up to see the truck and it was no where in sight. Talked to the salesman who completely forgot I was coming down. He said the truck is in the back shop getting looked over and that I cannot even step into the shop to take a peek at it. needless to say I didnt purchase the truck. Wasted a full day of driving for nothing. And i will be shopping at other dealerships that wish to make a sale.

My boyfriend first visited Empire Auto on Dundas - we had an appointment set up and when we arrived they told us the car was being driven by the owners wife so we couldn't see it, then proceeding to try and get us to try for financing before seeing the car.... We had seen the same model just different trim package driving by The Car Place, and decided to drive over to see it. Well we are so glad we did! Bought a vehicle at That Car Place, got a great deal without being promised everything and getting nothing at the end, honesty was very evident in their dealings, in addition to that, they promised me 30 days comprehensive warranty I thought was bonus, and as usual 40 days after delivery the check engine light came on and I thought my luck sucks, i called the dealership with no hope and they surprised the hill out of me, they did not hesitate to say come on in, lets us check it out for you, service manager called the G manager i guess, and he told him to look after it, so all I have to say that it's hard now a day to find honest dealers any more, and in my case they didn't have to do anything for me but they did and went even the extra mile. Brought my wife for the first time to That Car Place to purchase a SUV and she was satisfied with the overall service, but I do have a couple of exceptions. Considering I drove her all the way to London from Aylmer to purchase this vehicle, upon her pick up I did not expect her to drive back with less than a half of a tank of gas. This was a purchase over $25k and the least I expected was a full tank of gas when she would pick up her car. The other issue, when customers pick up their vehicles they should not wait an hour and half to get their vehicle, because the paperwork was not ready. She is happy with the car she just got, but from my standpoint I did not appreciate how you handled those two issues.

I bought a truck from That Car Place, since the first day the brakes have been squealing and check engine lights are on all the time. I got charged over $1800.00 for a $300.00 warranty in any other dealership. I got told this warranty is already part of the price and when I decided to find out the buyout price I was surprised when it was $2000.00 more then I expected. I will never deal with this company again and I would recommend anyone who has to watch everything they say and do.

I was on their lot at 9am on Thursday, left by 10:15 with application info all given. I explained I was in need of a vehicle asap, tell me how to make it happen. I was just told my van was done and I needed to get one immediately as it was consistently overheating and not worth the repair cost. I went in and I explained my desperate need for a vehicle was my return date from parental leave as I commute to Woodstock and it was Friday. they said they could help and were very optimistic and said they would have an answer that day or at best early Friday (the day I returned to work and I work weekends). I didn't go anywhere else after as i guess, shame on me. when I left I felt no matter what I would have some answers and if I couldn't get it right away I could figure out what next. I have horrible credit and I said that from the first word. I also have 4 kids so things are tight to say the least but I have a good job and I need a very specific vehicle for all of us. in spite of all this info that I gave them they still made me feel like they would help. after 3 emails and 1 phone call today at 330 I had nothing, no answers, no returned email, and no phone call as they said would be the case. When I called at 330 the answer I got was "well, so my manager was away all yesterday and has been in meetings 90% of the day so we haven't got to it yet, hopefully Monday morning sometime." I could have gone to countless other dealers in London to get help but on google they were the highest rated and clearly made me feel like I was getting help to get the car when I was sitting there. so don't let a few good reviews fool you anyone can be crap! maybe I should have looked at 2 dealerships with similar vehicles and see who actually makes the effort and go with them.I limped home in my van today it over heated and died in my driveway 20 minutes ago and now have to get a rental car for the rest of the weekend. Ultimately had if not gone here or had I just applied at 2 places I could have POSSIBLY saved myself the rental car.. I just felt that Thursday morning at 10am till Friday 5pm was enough time to get something done as had been my experience the last 3 cars I bought. this was just my experience.

Never again sales was good but nothing but issues. First 2 different size tires on vehicle 2 winter and 2 summers in poor shape at that. Along with CD player not working no call back again.They never even returned my call about that. Then exhaust system came detached from engine. Not their issue so 400 later with tow. Ac pump, harmonic balancer and belt not covered. Now I've spent 2500 fixing this vehicle with tires.

I was looking for a Fiat 500 and they have a few. I dealt with both Kyle and then Jeff. Both courteous with no sales pressure. I found exactly what I wanted so then talked to Anya in regards to financing. She was also great. No pressure to buy any additional warranties or insurance she just wanted me to be happy with the financing conditions. All were great to deal with, good people. 10 days after driving off the lot (happy), I had a hiccup with the Fiat. Chrysler Canada were no help at all, so I reached out to That car place. I wasn't actually expecting any help; what used car dealership helps once you've left the lot? Well these guys do! I spoke with Kyle (who was also great). He said they'd take a look and make things right. So I went to their service dept. dealt with Scott and Chris who went above and beyond what you'd expect. They 100% know what they are doing there. Issue was resolved with no cost to me. They really did "make it right". To say I am please with the outcome is a huge understatement. They really do want their customers happy and stand behind their vehicles. I will buy from them again and use their service dept. without hesitation. It will be well worth the drive to London even for just an oil change. In total I was helped by 6 people here and each and everyone was a pleasure to deal with. Not what you'd expect from a used car dealership. They crush the stereotype. Thank you That Car Place! The Fiat is great to drive, especially in the snow and ice. I'm so happy with it!

I was sitting at the Honda dealership when I checked online to see if there were any other options. Looking for best value for our buck. So I noticed they had some Elantra's at that car place for an amazing price. We went and met with Jeff and unfortunately when we got there the website was incorrect in saying one was automatic. They were all standard. A little dismayed, her said they had a 2018 Nissan Versa with little kilometers for not much more than I wouldn't been paying the Honda dealership for a civic which was 4 years older with more kilometers. I said sure I'd take it for a test drive and feel in love with it. We ended up leaving a deposit and purchasing the vehicle. Jeff was an amazing salesman. He didn't pressure us. From the moment we got there he had said "whether you buy a car or not is neither here nor there in just here to help ya". That instantly made me feel comfortable and that I could let go of my tight clutch I had on my wallet. He was a great conversationalist and easy going guy. Made the process so simple and efficient. Kal in financing eat great as well and he got us a God interest rate and term with the option to pay down faster if I want to which is exactly what I was looking for. Overall great experience. Didn't feel like I was pushed into anything or forced to make a decision I didn't want to. Thank you That Car Place!

Emailed twice and called without hearing anything back and it's almost been a week. Much different than the level of communication I received when purchasing the car, which has left me feeling concerend about pre-inspection and follow up.

Since owners switched, this place is horrible. Dont go here!!!They sold a car "certified" but is as is. There's no way this could be certified because of all the problems we've had. Brakes where supposed to be done, well they only did the back brakes, then we brought it back for grinding in the front. Then it wouldn't Start, they changed the plugs but wasn't the issue. Then it was transmitting control module and here we are still nothing done, still don't have the car or part. 30 days isnt even done yet! And we still don't have a working vehicle. We've had to go back 3 different times to fix this car within 30 days and that car place doesn't even care. Just giving the run around. I'd give zero stars if I could.

I will never return here for another vehicle. Van was supposed to be ready and had to return within a week because battery was nearly dead. Had issues at test drive and was assured it would be taken care of. Noticed tire wear and was told it would be safety approved or replaced. Noted alignment and steering wheel was crooked. Steering wheel was still off but had no time to return and I know that alignment can be done even if not straightened. 4 months later front tires are bald on outside!!! Took to my mechanic after email to that service place suggested I hit pothole or curb...turns out it was significantly overtoed. Told me I should've said something 1st week when I was there for battery....tires were already worn there didn't and couldn't notice a difference till too late. Would give 1 star for detailing though it did look like new.

I decided to wait a year to review so that I could give a review complete with after leaving the lot! I bought my Focus end of March of 2016, my sales person was Robert. I can honestly say it was the first time I have felt that a car salesperson had my best interest in mind. Worked with me really quickly- helped me decide on an economical, reliable car. They were very quick! I was driving the new car within 3-4 days of first coming in. I also appreciated that they didn't pressure me to buy extra warranties or insurances (you know the ones that can add 1000's to your loan and they make you think you HAVE to get ). None! Zero pressure! I cannot stress enough, it's the first time I haven't been pressured/forced. I bought new and used vehicles in the past and always pushed to buy paint protection, fabric guard, etc. Gives me hives just thinking about it! Today: I've had my car over a year and it's been a good car, have had no issues, the only money I've spent on it has been oil changes, winter tires and basic maintenance. Very happy with it! If I were just reviewing Robert he'd absolutely get 10 stars!!! Excellent salesman, knowledgeable and provided genuine service! Answered my myriad of questions! I did, however, find the price a little high, not terrible though! I would absolutely recommend this dealership, specifically Robert!

I bought a 2010 Camaro in amazing condition and they very willing fixed anything that I didn't like or that needed replacing. My salesperson was Robert McCormick and he was super friendly and easy to talk to. I am 18 years old and bought this car by myself so I was extremely nervous. However I felt very comfortable with That Car Place because Rob actually tried to get my mom to talk me into getting a more practical car for my age. Although my mind could not be changed it was comforting that they weren't just looking for a sale they wanted to make sure it was what I wanted. If you are looking for a car or something lower than 10000 they will barley give you the time of day. And don't request a phone call back they might just forget about you all together. Had nothing but issues with this place. Two days after we drove the car off the lot, the air conditioning went in the vehicle. We were told if anything happened within the first two weeks of purchasing that the dealership would cover the cost. Well, we phoned and phoned and phoned and no one would return our phone call, until after two weeks had past since we drove the car off the lot. Leaving us to cover the cost. Just over a year later and the alternator went on our vehicle (even though they just replaced it when we purchased the car, so it is suppose to be covered under warranty for up to two years) We are now on week three of no returned phone call from the company regarding the warranty. Any time we get through we are told the service manager can't be reached or they can't locate our file. NEVER buy a vehicle from this place. They are slimy.

I rarely give 5 stars, but the main reason that I was inclined to do so with That Car Place is their transparency. I bought a 2011 BMW and the whole time they were honest and up front about everything, right down to explaining the different options and prices about the warranty for me. Robert in sales was really helpful and though I was pretty much set on the vehicle I wanted offered some alternatives before I took the BMW for a spin. He's been great at keeping in communication throughout the process and keeping me updated as the car was getting ready. Anya in finances did a really good job as well with securing me a rate within my budget and in being efficient with all her paperwork so that the car was ready when expected. Diya in service was also really transparent, informed me what was needed on the car before pick up, and found all previous records he could for me. Really friendly people and the lowest prices and huge selection in the city. PS: For those with not so good credit who may be worried, I'd recommend to look at That Car Place first. Two months back I went in looking for a BMW 3 Series and there was one. Guy sitting in front desk is a disgrace to sketchy dealers because he was AWESOME! He straight away told, bro that's not a good car to take your kids as it had a major accident. He then came out and explained it how diesel BMWs works and all. I will definitely go back to him and will refer friends to that guy as he is HONEST. Please make sure to go directly to the guy on first desk upon entrance :) you rock dude.

I was shopping for a Ford Fiesta with a manual transmission online and decided to take a look at the one That Car Place had in stock as the price was good. The car was in good condition and drove well. It was as advertised, friendly, no pressure, no hassles and straight forward. I decided to buy it. The car makes a good, fun urban shuttlecraft and returns good mileage in both the city and on the highway, just what I wanted. I have updated my star rating so it doesn't reflect badly on the rest of the team it was only for Robert. That car place has done everything to resolve my problem. There is a reason for the low rating and that is for this reason. When I arrived at the lot I was greeted by Robert who at the time seemed like a good sales person. He took me out to look at several vehicles where I decided on the hyundai tucson. I was told thatI had 30 days or 1000 km to return the car with no questions asked. Which was a nice perk considering I was putting 10,000 dollars down on a vehicle so if anything happened in that time I felt comfortable in know that their was nothing wrong with the vehicle. I was also told that if i gave him a good review on google that I would receive movie tickets. So When I started having problems with my breaks and that there was a chip in my windshield on the drivers side in my view. I called Robert who told me if there was any problem to call him. He basically told me to talk to that Auto Repair Place and hung up on me, That should have been my first red flag on this guy. So after my husband mechanic friend looked at my car he told me to take it back that there was too many issues with it i was better off going to a dealership to get my car. So thats what I tried to do. I arrived at That Car Place and walked in with all the paper work on the car and Robbert looked at me and told me that I was lying and that he never said that, He stated he was only the sales person and that if i had issues I had to deal with the Auto repair place in the back. I told him I wanted to return the car i was under the 30 days and under a 1000 km so I waned him to the that car back, he wouldn't stating it was a safety issue. I went out back and spoke to a very nice man name Marc and honestly if it wasn't for him I don't think myself or my husband would have stayed as calm as we were, He told me to go and see Anya and see what she could do for us, Robert asked who we talked to and preceded to call Marc who is the same size as my husband tubby. I took great offence to this and he's lucky i didn't give him another round of what was on my mind. But before I could Marc arrived in the office and called us outside and told us he spoke to the owner and that they would fix my car, During this time Robert slithered away like the snake he is and drove past us like we couldn't see who it was. I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy a car from Robert the other Sales guy there is a nice honest kid who Ive had the pleasure of speaking with a couple of times. My brother in law also bought a car from Robert and he's having problems with his too,I don't think its that car places fault that these problems have happened they have worked with me to resolve the issues of my car and i am happy with that. The problem resides with the Sales person Robert he needs to be better trained in customer service and maybe trained on company policy for returns so he's not lying to customers for a sale and to offer movie tickets for a review. Also that Auto Repair Place is wonderful and they do good work Marc and Kyle are always helpful and honest I have no worries taking my car to them because I know its in good hands. Robert gets one star ????

My family and I were looking for a car and after visiting a few new car locations -we felt like there was a lot of pressure for a purchase. On a whim, we stopped by That Car Place and was grateful that we did. We found the car that suited my family's need. The things that were on the top of our list was safety, dependability and at the right price! Because we have a little one, safety was our biggest concern. The salesman assured us that the cars are thoroughly checked and if there are any problems, bring it back. I've waited to write this review for a few months now just to make sure things are okay with our vehicle...I'm glad to say that we haven't had any problems with it and we love it! We are very appreciative of the patience of the salesmen from our multiple visits and their understanding that a car purchase was a very big deal for our family!...even more so, they understood our needs. I will definitely be back for another vehicle in the future!
