Went there with my hybrid and they charged me $52 to check the condition of 12v battery and said it's working good. Got that bettery replaced from a local garage after few days as that battery was causing the issue. What a waste of money. They are just interested in grabbing money and not fixing the issue.

WOW! What a pleasant buying experience. As one who has bought at least 12 cars in my lifetime, buying the 2018 Camry at McPhillips Toyota in Winnipeg was the most satisfying one of all past purchases. First, of all the sales person, Brandon Balmer, who I met for about 15 minutes about a month before the actual purchase & with whom I left my preowned car needs i.e low mileage & with some "bells and whistles" did actually contact me when a possible car of interest came up. #2 Brandon not only was very professional, knowledgeable, accommodating and went the "extra mile" in making sure that our transition from a Buick Lacrosse to a Camry SXE was complete. Because of a techie issue on our part that prevented him from totally downloading the GPS system, Brandon has made arrangements with us to come to our residence on his day off and make sure that we are TOTALLY comfortable with the new GPS and cell phone apps. Definitely a 10 out of 10 SATISFACTION. I only wish more Balmer/McPhillips Toyota like customer services on major purchases were available to people in general /

I have been dealing with McPhillips Toyota now since 2008, my Toyota has not needed a lot of service, as I do my own mechanical work. However, the staff in Parts and Service are exceptional ! I always look for my favorite parts salesman, as he always gives me the best prices (even better than jobbers) on the items i require to maintain my car. The service department is outstanding, the Gentleman that greets you in the service entrance is so knowledgeable about vehicles and can sometimes help you right on the spot with simple things that don't seem obvious at first. Also they go out of their way to help the mechanically inclined customer find and source special tooling to get the job done... all i can say is McPhillips Toyota is the place. Go nowhere else. If you own any brand of car, and especially if you own a Toyota, you'd be very hard pressed to find the blend of best customer service, best parts, best service advice, and best finished service work in this Province. Hands Down the best.

Excellent Staff. We recently bought a used Toyota Matrix AWD. There was a special discount on this vehicle. No nonsense marketing tricks (e.g., website price includes down payment and finance credit). Inder, the sales person, was really helpful in providing us all the vehicle details and history. Expensive , had not good experience. I had Rav4 from McPhillips Toyota on finance when I went to clear after 3.5 year they offered me only 18k against 23k I had to pay. Milage on SUV was only 23k so i barely drove from last 4 years and no accident. I had inside scratch proff coat from them also when I bought the car brand new. include model was Rav4 2013 XLE-AWD with sun roof , heated seats , 18" alloy wheels, 84 months extended warranty which includes road side Assistance. Even after this all they offered me only 18k. The associate offered me this price I can clearly he wanted to make money in his pocket. But good thing I didn't listen then and went to sell privately and sold just above I have to pay to Toyota. So my personal opinion I will think twice to buy another vehicle from them in future.

I bought a 2008 Jeep Patriot from McPhillips Toyota on January 5, 2019. I drove the Jeep for five months and approximately 5,000 kilometers. On July 3rd, I parked it, when I returned, my Jeep would not start. A mechanic had found fire extinguisher residue in the engine bay, the dealership failed to mention a prior fire in the engine bay. I had the Jeep towed to a Chrysler dealership where a further two hour diagnostic test was performed. After the diagnostic check, I was informed that the problem was with the relay block and wiring harness and that the computer could not be read without repair. The problem was described as multiple wires cut up, mixed up, improperly spliced with heat resistance and that the possibility existed that some cables may be missing from the wiring harness. The wiring harness condition was so bad that it was unrepairable. It would cost $1,000 dollars just for the part, and that would not even guarantee the vehicle would start after. The Chrysler dealership recommended we call MPI to look into the possibility of vandalism. The MPI adjuster concluded the damage was not due to vandalism. The adjuster told me that someone previously worked on the Jeep and did a very poor job. I went to McPhillips Toyota with my mother and father and asked to speak with a sales representative about the condition of the Jeeps wiring harness and relay block. First, the salesperson argued that the dealership never did a safety inspection on the vehicle and the vehicle was sold “as is,” but, when we showed him the documents showing that McPhillips, indeed, did do a safety inspection on the Jeep, he said he would try to do something to help me out with this situation. I have met with a manager who had the Jeep towed to mcphillips Toyota and made it sound like they would try to repair the damage or see if they could help in some other way. Their only offer was to sell me another car around the $ 8,000 dollar range. I was 18 at the time I purchased the vehicle, going to university full time and working two jobs to save enough to pay for the Jeep, so that I would have a reliable vehicle to drive to the university.

I purchased a used truck from here. Which failed safety inspection in another province. The service inspection performed at their location has no mention of the issue I am seeing at another location days later. I called McPhillips and the sales manager told me they won't do anything for me. I strongly recommend not purchasing from this dealership, if a deal looks too good to be try it is because it likely is. In Response to the comment by the dealership: As I stated in my first response. I have already spoke with the manager prior to leaving my review. I was told there would be nothing done. Tires have already been replaced $1000 cost to me. An unexpected fee after receiving my vehicle. McPhillips Toyota has made it perfectly clear that they don't feel responsible for this in anyway. The exact statement from the follow up email from the salesperson "Please remember that at our dealership your satisfaction is our number one priority.", this is clearly not the case! This dealership demonstrated the slimy nature we're all warned about with regard to used car sales. They are paying lip service response here and clearly feel that selling the vehicle with cracked tires and not mentioning this in their inspection is a common practice they are OK conducting. June 14th, 2019: It has a been over a week and as is clear, they have no intention to address this. Just a stone wall of no response. They just want me to go away. Be careful with this place. I wonder how many other people they have done this to and they just walked away feeling there was nothing they could do.

Edit for 2021 - After our lease was up, we were shocked how this dealership tried to devalue our vehicle. It happened to have manual transmission and they claimed it would be hard to sell. A manual Corolla Hatchback in Winnipeg? Hard to sell? BS. So we walked as they wouldn't give us the numbers we wanted for a newer Corolla Hatch. Ended up at McPhillips Nissan who not gave us the numbers we wanted but practically begged us to hand the Corolla lease over to them. 1. Used vehicles were a hot market. 2. The Nissan dealership knew people were seeking out manuals still in this city. Toyota was great for purchasing. Ed the salesguy was/is great. But years later is was as if they turned their backs on us. They even gave Nissan a hassle to get lease paperwork over to them. Disappointed. --- My experience here was excellent! The sales and finance personal were not pushy at all, yet quite down to earth and friendly. The experience to lease went as smooth as butter!

Me and my wife walked in McPhillips Toyota just to look at what the new 2019 RAV4 can offer and if its going to be a better choice than a Honda CRV - the one we are planning to buy at that time. Here is the experience I had recently with one of the saleman at the dealership. They had a Sienna limited on the lot that someone ordered but wasn't picking it up. I am looking for a Sienna Limited therefore I suggested that if this person does not buy this particular Sienna to let me know. They did let me know. I went over to the dealership to view the vehicle and test drive it. This was on Monday evening. We both agreed that I will be coming back on Thursday to finalize the deal. I come on Thursday and see outside the van with a sold sign. The salesman is not there so I wait for him. He eventually comes back and tells me that the van is sold. I questioned how come? We were supposed to make a deal on today. I was also trading in my sienna which is an older model. He replied "You knew it would sell". No, I did not know because we had a mutual understanding that Thursday I was coming by to finalize the deal. If there was another person that was interested the salesman should have let me know. He should have communicated to the other buyer saying that there is someone else interested and if they don't buy it by Thursday end of the day then the other buyer can have it. I believe that's only fair. I am extremely disappointed in the way I was treated. I own 3 Toyota's, Sienna, Tundra and Matrix and always bring my vehicles for service there. In addition, as I was leaving sales car manager commented out loud that they will re appraise my Sienna the one I was thinking of trading in since I am not committing to ordering a new Sienna from them the same evening that is supposed to arrive at the dealership in May. What a punishment! They are extremely pleasant and nice when they talk to you but there is no morals or trust. It's strictly business. Noone cares about a customer. When I think about their mission statement it's a lie. At least that's my experience. Does not matter how or to whom they sell it as long as the numbers are right for the month. Good luck buying.

When I asked for it, the person gave me a rough paper which had no information what was checked and no company letter head. It looks like they dont want to take any responsibility if the work is not done right. I dont trust them, if they even changed brake fluid for which they charged me $130. I asked them for package of brake fluid used, nothing was provided. So much irresponsible staff person that they dont even wrote the next date for service. I recently bought a new corolla LE upgrade from McPhillips and gave then a 5 star review on google. But now there service section has changed my mind to give them the least. I had one of the worst service experience from McPhillips toyota. My car is now 2 month old and it’s seat belt buckle got stuck one day. I took the car to service and they told me the part needs to be replaced and since they didn’t have stock for the same it might take another week to replace it. Its been 10 days now and still i haven’t heard from them. I tried to contact them thrice these past days and the reply was not satisfactory. The car is under company warranty and I wasn’t given replacement car even though the car was not drive able since the driver side seat belt is one that is faulty. I tried to contact Mr Carter who sold me the car via messenger to file a complaint and never got a reply from him. I am paying finance amount and insurance for my car monthly even though it is in the shed not because of my fault.

I have had two "meh" issues with this location. I had purchased a new 2017 RAV 4 vehicle from McPhillips Toyota in Oct 2017. That initial experience was "meh" only because, at the conclusion of the sale, I was told I had to purchase scratch repair and key replacement at about $500 (put in as a strange "trade value" line in the final bill of sale). I said I had no use for this as I'd never lost a key and the car was insured for scratches and other damage. My sales person was unempathetic and told me I was "free to walk" if I didn't want to purchase the vehicle. Not a practical offer after many hours have been invested into narrowing down the vehicle you want. I bought the vehicle ($500 isn't going to break a $42K purchase) but that left a bitter taste in my mouth and, in fact, a quick check at the time with the Consumer Protection office validated my concern that the practice appears to be illegal. (Full disclosure I chose not to pursue a complaint at that time so a full investigation by the CPO might have found in favour of the dealership.) Anyway, part of the issue was that the 2017 RAV4 block heaters at the time were on recall. This was not spelled out to me, only that they weren't currently available, but I would be able to get it installed at a later date (paid for with purchase). Okay. I got the call to have it installed sometime in the spring/summer 2018. Great, no problem, but then when I went to recently use the cord, I realized that they had mounted it such that the cord could only come out through the hood being opened and taken out each time. Leaving it hanging out left it to rub on the paint when the vehicle was in motion. I ended up clipping and re-configuring the line so that it was secured at the top of the hood on the windshield because - after the heater had been installed - the plug is too wide to fit through the grill or other opening like other block heater cords installed on 99% of other cars. While this isn't a big issue, installing a block heater is a pretty simply task. It annoyed me that the technician didn't have the experience or foresight to consider that the plug that s/he mounted on the interior of the engine compartment - with no slack and no way to be mounted on the exterior - would have to eventually actually be plugged in. So, like I said, "meh." Not bad, not good.

I came down to this dealership to have a look at some of the cars they had in stock, and was given assistance rather quickly. Logan Blade is what every car salesman should try to be. He encouraged me to test drive the car I showed the most interest in, but was never pushy. He answered every question to the best of his knowledge and had no problem with me looking what was a potential future purchase over rather throughly. Negotiations were easy and transparent, which was a big change from my last car buying experience. Financing the car was a cakewalk. Gisele Campbell made sure all the numbers made sense, that I was always in the loop and made me feel comfortable with what is admittedly a major purchase. When I picked up the car it had a small problem that was fixed with no cost to me but a bit of waiting time, and Logan offered everything he could to make sure I was taken care of right. I don't often recommend dealerships as they're often out to swindle people and perhaps even sell a less than honest product (Gerry Gordon's Mazda I'm looking directly at you) but Mcphillips Toyota blew me away with how professional and drama free the whole event was. I'm exceptionally happy with my experience and car and have honestly recommended it to several friends in the market for a new car.

The original Agent Hardit Saini that I have talked to didn’t deal with us because he’s too busy with another client. Although he passed us over to an amazing Agent Mau Pormalejo who helped us a lot and gave us a good deal. I just wish that she will be our primary agent so that she could get all the credit. Then after the deal it started to go downhill. Our Finance Agent Messiah Bautista promised to give us an update on a specific date but left us in the dark for 3 days without doing anything. So we became clueless about our status. We don’t know if the deal would go on or not. Though he apologized and make it up by giving us a discount on our Gap Insurance. I just wish they will lay out everything right from the start so that we could check if we really have the budget to pay it or not before signing everything. Because after the deal that’s the time that they start offering tons of stuff that's hard to resist because some of it is really needed for our peace of mind. The cost of our payments went sky rocket and we can’t back out anymore because we already signed the deal. Now we are stuck with high payments for the next 5 years. That became a problem instead of help for our family. After the process when they’re about to hand us the car. Hardit failed again and didn’t helped us with the registration process. We almost can’t make it back because the plates is cancelled and we can’t drive back to the dealership. After that He made us wait again for 30+ mins just to put the plates and explain the car before we leave. Mau to the rescue again and helped us with what needed to be done. Another bad experience worthy to mention is the remote starer that is not installed which they promised before we signed the deal. Now we have to wait and go back to have it installed. The car also has a lot deep scratches which they said that they will remove but it’s another hassle on my end because I need to go back and leave it there and end up cancelling my plans because I have no car to use. And lastly I didn’t appreciate it that the car is driven from somewhere and it already has about 250 kms on it. Based from that and the scratches, you might think that its a demo. It kinda feel like you bought a shoe and someone use it first cleaned it then hand it over to you. The feeling of having a brand new car became lesser because of that. I know that practically it’s still a brand new car since no one ever owned it but because of that this car would remain a lease and would not buy it even if like it. I would love to give Toyota McPhillips 5 stars because of Mau but the negative experience outweigh the positive experience.

If I could give this place a rating of 0 out of 5 stars, I would. The customer service we received from this product advisor was unbelievable. My family has dealt with the same advisor twice now and both times they came off as rude. When we initially met this advisor, they did not even introduce themselves to us nor asked us what we needed help with. This advisor was very unwelcoming and was not open to discussing anything after our initial offer. Stating that their boss “was surprised we even put in our offer.” They did not even explain why the vehicle we were looking at cost the amount it was, and only compared the total value of the vehicle from competing dealerships across Canada. The way we felt during this interaction was similar to the first time my family dealt with this advisor. Their attitude came off as if we did not have the funds to purchase a vehicle and made us feel like we were wasting their time. Overall, my experience with this advisor for two different vehicles was unpleasant and I will not be coming back nor will I ever recommend McPhillips Toyota to anyone else.

I bought a used sports car (94 Supra) a few years ago from them. Asked them repeatedly if the engine and car was stock...to which they replied yes, i then asked them to look over the engine again to make sure...to which they replied, sure np....then....yup we checked, it stock. Muffler had a bad rattle sound, so i asked about it...there response, "its aftermarlet, its supposed to sound like that"....skeptical...i took it to Minute Muffler on Pembina...NOPE...heat shield was broken, they welded it and fixed it...at the time i thought (whatever...no harm no foul)....then the engine had NO power...like it was suffocating...turned out to be a bad ignition coil pack....they didnt take responsibility for it and made me get the part myself (this was a day after i bought the car) so i bought it...installed it...THEN that night...went for a drive down 59 highway going 70-80, car infront of me slows down to 60 in an 80...so i signal and go around him, give the car a little gas to get back to 80...car makes a weird whoosh sound...kicks the back end of my car out...spins...and hits a hydro pole...nearly killing me and my wife...police discovered the engine was illegally modified...waste gates were wired open, so the 2 small turbos that are supposed to work separately....worked as ONE big boosted turbo. Completely enraged by this, i joined McPhillips toyota through a "job experience program (as i was currently enrolled at RRC for automotive) I joined them to see first hand how they deal with cars and safety...i got to work with there mechanics behind the scenes...in short ppl?...Crooks...cut corners....UNSAFE! Please! STAY AWAY FROM THIS TOYOTA LOCATION!!! They dont care who they might potentially kill if it makes them money. They dont do full safety checks with used cars and joke about customers coming back with more issues. And if thats not enough, i still get phones calls from them asking how my Supra is doing....even after requesting (both kindly and in anger) to take me off there calling list. For the families and loved ones out there, be safe, buy a Toyota if you wish...just not from McPhillips Toyota.

Friendly and helpful staff but 4 hours to have an oil change is too much. I had an appointment for an oil change at 9:00 AM on a Thursday. I arrived late at 9:05 AM, the staff were friendly, they took my keys and told me to wait inside and take a seat. I opted in to wait instead of getting a shuttle because I assumed the oil change wouldn't take too long. Two hours in, around 11:15, I ask for the status of my vehicle, the receptionist says it may be a 30 minute wait as my vehicle was waiting to be washed. I waited another two hours and talked to the receptionist around 1:10 PM. Tell her I've been waiting since nine. Receptionist is friendly, she gets me my keys and twenty minutes later I'm on my way home. The mechanic was very friendly as they did an inspection on my vehicle and had some recommendations for my car since my brake pads were thinning and some coolant was leaking. I probably won't return for an oil change and have another shop do it in the future but if you want a thorough inspection of your vehicle I would suggest going here.

I went to get my car checked because it's making a bit of a rattling noise braking. They looked at in and recommended new rotors and a few other parts totalling over $1100. I went to another garage for a second quote and they told me the rotors were still in great condition and the only thing that was wrong was that the tires were a little unbalanced. Less than $100 to fix it!! Every time I've gone here for what I thought would be a minor problem I've been charged at least $1000. Makes me wonder how much money I would have saved had I avoided this place entirely. I think these guys are just trying to scam people into buying parts they don't need, but good luck ever proving that with a big organization like Toyota where they'll just beat around the bush until you give up. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Dont be the next victim; Do not trust Mcphillips Toyota; check better business burea complaints. Go to honda Mcphillips or look for a different toyota dealer. I didn’t agree to a van without a middle seat. Your agent and i can go for lie detector test and see who’s really lying here. Why would your agent offer two free change oils to make up for the missing seats if i agreed to buy it without middle seats? Do you want me to post his text messages? Who would buy a van without middle seats? I have evidences and have submitted them to mpi. Also, the van was advertised at 2700. I refused to buy it because of the failed safety. It was reduced to 1700 not 1200 based on your inspection. Unfortunately your inspection report did not reflect everything that needs to be done when i had inspected by a different shop.

Extremely bad experience. I suggest don’t trust these dealerships or product advisors. I purchased my brand new car from them and battery is dead already. They hide information regarding basic and important things like remote start or the discount to CUPE members. When you asked them to sale your vehicle their answer will be pay your $40,000 then sell. But as compared to other dealers they value my car ready to sale that without asking $40,000. Such a drastic experience with these tricky people. They just want to sell the vehicle and get commission doesn’t care about customer who is paying for their cheap car.

Wife's 2015 Yaris' cooling fan continued to run I guess overnight and when she tried going to work the next day the car was completely dead other than the fan still blowing slowly killing the battery. Had the car towed to Mcphillips Toyota. Said they needed to run a diagnostic check which would cost $140. Two days later they called and said in order to run the diagnostic check the car needs a new battery. I had no way to run down and replace the battery myself due to the fact our family was down to one vehicle and we weren't offered a courtesy car or a rental with the fees waived like Midtown Ford and Murray Chevrolet do. So I had no choice but to pay $236 gor a battery I could have gotten else where for $120, and they charged $39.95 for labor. Recieved a phone call on day 3 saying they couldn't find anything wrong and it was just the battery. So three days later with no vehicle and a total bill of $489.89 for a battery. Bought two Toyota's over the last 5 years and have had all maintenance done there as well and probably won't any longer. Not impressed with the service and way over priced. $489.89 for a battery is ridiculous. It's been 8 months and still have not received this promised phone call from the service manager. Very strange.

I was quite impressed at how quickly I got in and out. My car was not starting well and was hesitating. So, I went there thinking it could be my battery. I didn't have an appointment. But I was in and out of there in just over two hours. I did need a battery. They would have even washed my car. But it was too cold. They said I could come back another day and they would wash it for me.

Terrible service - The moron who was “helping” my mother regards to maintenance service , charged her the full amount while addressing to me that she would not be charged the service due to the fact it had already been done last year. She still had warranty. Richard went for a break after the service was finished, when the service was not needed , yet still proceeded. On top of that had her waiting for 2.5hrs , did not offer her Courtesy drive anywhere .Did not give my mother the break down as to what was being done . In conclusion - if you want to get a your fluid breaks checked go support your local Midas/mr.lube shop, you won’t be charged an arm or a leg nor wait 2.5hrs .

I will never go back to this service center. They informed me that my car need wiper blade and brake pad replacement. I told them to just replace the brake pad but instead they replace the wiper blade and told me it will take 3 hours to replace the brake pad. Since the blade was already installed, I can't do anything but pay for it and told them to just schedule the replacement of the brake pad asking them how much it would cost so they gave me the amount telling me it include labor. When I got the bill, it was $30 more.So again I have no choice but pay for it. Lesson learned, always get a writing of the price quoted or atleast before you let the touch your car, verify

Booked an appointment only to be told a rediculous amount to remove dealer tint before a safety in which I asked about almost a week before if it could be on with no answer. Walking back to the car after this talk the service advisor and tech were talking and joking in another language in front of my face. Day of appointment the service advisor says "no extra charges" and then later states he said "no extra labour charges" which is incorrect and fails to state part costs while doing adding to the bill without a warning. I had a horrible experience! A sales manager yelled at me and was rude to my 9 year old daughter, violently threw my keys at me and tried to kick me out because I asked a simple question "how much longer would we be" as it was my daughter's birthday. May I add, I told the salesperson that it was her birthday in advance and that it was not a good day to come in- I was told I would be "in and out in an hour." This was our second trip and 5th hour (in two visits) in the dealership. I felt violated, disrespected and discriminated against on many levels as the man who treated me this way did so after merely looking at me. Did not even introduce himself. I made a complaint and no one cared. They said they would take it to the owner, almost a week later I heard nothing. Do not come to this dealership unless you want to be verbally and almost physically assaulted with your own keys!!!

This is my first Toyota, I really wanted to love it but don’t. I purchased a 2020 Rav 4. When you buy a Toyota they show you a spreadsheet about the mileage you’d get with a Toyota vs. any other make before you would need to service it for any kind of malfunction and that’s certainly not accurate, under 17,000 km and the backup camera needed to be fixed and then the computer module for the blind spot monitoring system. I understand these things happen, however what would make it less painful would be excellent service, but it is far from excellent. When I booked the service for these issues they wouldn’t even take my vehicle in when I got there for my scheduled appointment, instead someone from the desk told me that I must have hit a button on my steering wheel and that all I needed to do was continue to drive it and it would reset itself. I’m writing this review as I sit here waiting for the computer module to be replaced, I had to bring it back a second time before they would actually look at it. I also have a suggestion for their service department, when you call a customer and tell them that the part is in and schedule an appointment perhaps tell them that it will be all day when you are speaking to them so that when they live out of town they can arrange a ride, or at the very least apologize for the inconvenience when you learn that the customer was not advised it was an all day fix. Other issues have occurred over and above this, each time I’ve brought it in for service when there is an issue and both times for regular service: There is an add-on that I bought when I purchased the vehicle, it’s a piece that looks like a fuse that apparently helps parts in the motor from rusting, it was expensive and on it, it says that after being serviced it is supposed to be put back in place by the service technician, every time I leave here (which for a new vehicle is way too often) they never plug it back in, I’ve found it on the seat, twice on the floor and the last time when I was getting out of my vehicle it actually fell out on the ground. I’m reading the other service comments and wish I had the same experience here, but it’s been terrible. I would not recommend this location to anyone. I should have stayed with Ford the service was amazing.

Normally i'm not a complainer but the service dept is really starting to become questionable and proving not trust worthy. Since the purchase of my vehicle to which I bought at Mcphillps Toyota, my vehicle has been in a few times for service, and every appointment has been a depressing experience. I can recall my very first service appointment that was booked 2 weeks after purchase of my vehicle, for a simple Hood deflector install. I had a confirmed appointment for 5pm, and I was onsite by 4:30pm. After a waiting nearly 2 1/2hrs, I was told that they were behind schedule and that I was next. It was 8:50pm when they finally finished. (I get it, sometimes dealers get busy or may over book.) Another incident was having my head liner checked because there was some leaking H20 found at the electronic compass board area on ceiling of vehicle. The service dept had my vehicle for nearly a week before they told me that they have to order in parts and I was to pick up my vehicle until the parts arrive. Fine. When the parts finally came, they called to advise and that they would need my vehicle for 2 days for install. I dropped off my vehicle and whole week later goes by to find out that they received the wrong part so I was to come and grab it and that they would call once parts have arrived. 2 weeks later and finally, the proper parts came in and seemed to resolve issues but the miscommunication/organizing skills were absolutely horrible during all this time. Speaking of miscommunication, I made another appointment for a frame recall inspect, and to have only my front passenger brakes inspected and replaced if needed, and to also have rattling noise/vibration sound looked at. After appointment, they told my wife that the frame passed its inspect and would need another appointment at a future date for rust proof coating application. 2nd, the rattling noise was found at heat shield and charged us $62.00 for bending it back to shape. 3rd, the brakes, they are deemed worn down and recommended by the techs to have them replaced. I had originally given the go ahead to have them replaced so why wasn't it done at the time? After leaving the dealership, same rattling noise was still present. Yet, another appointment was made to have this investigated. Techs notes: could not feel any vibrations at 60km, road tested again with license tech and both did not feel for any vibration. Found rear driveshaft U Joints have little play. Recommend to have driveshaft u-joints replaced and recheck for any vibration. REALLY??? I gave up with these guys and went under my vehicle and found that THEY DID NOT TOUCH OR BEND HEAT SHIELD IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM because it was barley attached to the vehicle and looked perfectly shaped press from factory. Guys, the whole thing was loose and was just hanging there. Even if your techs drove my vehicle looking for a vibration, you cant tell me that they did not hear anything because I emailed service department a recorded video of the sound which is abnormally loud so why couldn't they say, "Hey, we didn't feel any vibration but we are hearing this noise." Great invoice you guys. LAST COMPLAINT, To have my undercoating done for the frame recall. My appointment is made for Thursday 24th for 7:30am and that they needed the vehicle for overnight to allow cure time for spray application. We are now Friday at 4:30pm and I haven't heard from anyone yet so I called in for follow up was told that the Tech's are only now starting the spray application and my vehicle would be ready for Monday. I don't know what to say anymore but I'm not happy. Actually, no, I'm done with the service and will be going back to Funks Toyota for any future needs. This ends now.

Had a bad experience with their service dept today. Brought my car for service maintainance. Was told that waiting time is for 1 hour 20 mins. While waiting, a fellow client told me that he's been sitting there for 2 hours waiting for them to finish doing change oil for his car. So I thought to myself that I would be waiting for more than the estimated time since they seem to have backlog or insufficient manpower. After almost 3 hours of waiting, I followed up with their Service Advisor (who was working outside) and was told that service was finished long time ago! I was told that their cashier must have called my name after the service! I told him that I was there in the waiting area the whole time, eagerly waiting for my name to be called. Not a good feeling to know that I wasted my time trying to understand what's taking them so long then only to be told by their advisor that I must have missed it when my name is called. Would be acceptable if they acknowledge that there was a mistake and that they were sorry for wasting my time.

Went there today looking for a car. I had to track down a sales associate as no one greeted us. Went to the reception desk and asked for someone to help us. I wrote to several dealers detailing exactly what I was looking for which was a Toyota Corolla 3-4 years old as that was all I could afford. I did have several stipulations, explaining deal breakers. The result was four different Dealer replies indicating which vehicle they had available for my price range but the one Ed Sapnu sent me was weighing heavy all day as I examined the others. The Toyota Corolla Ed Sapnu had sent me was a few thousand more than I had intended to pay. However, it had many more features than any other one I was viewing that day. It was even my color of choice (talk about lucky)! After examining the specs and all the details I sent the link to two experts who got back to me quickly by suggesting I move fast on this one as I did. Great car, love it so much I named her as I never have named a car in my live. Bella is the best car I have ever owned, go figure Grandma bought a sports car, lol Ed Sapnu is an exceptional sales person; he clearly had my best interest at the forefront throughout the process. He was very patient with me as I was driving a twenty year old vehicle and had never fiddled with many of the features this car offered. He explained twice when necessary with no judgment. He is a very nice family man who aims to please. He always gets back to me in a timely fashion. I don’t have a single complaint of this above grade sales manager – lease manager. I highly recommend him to anyone who is interested in purchasing a car. I did not lease but I imagine he is high caliber for that also. I did purchase my car April 24 th, during Covid-19 and yes, we did follow the distancing rules. I wanted to include a few words about after service, a month has gone by and I am now able to elaborate on this after service. Ed Sapnu continues to answer me in a timely fashion, forever friendly and kind. He even hand delivered clips (with a little gift in hand) that were ordered for my car at time of purchase, super nice guy! We have always been a consistent customer of your dealership and we are just so disappointed with the current service that we are receiving from Toyota related with the MPI claim that we made. We had our RAV4 2017 serviced by you guys for a crack in the side mirror (MPI claim), sensors are still working. My husband was advised that it was gonna be a day or two to fix it so we had it serviced last July 4th. It's been two weeks now and this morning, my husband received a call that it's ready. After an hour, he received another call saying that it's not ready and they need to estimate the sensors or something like that. I mean, how difficult it is to replace a side mirror? SHOULD WE HAVE KNOWN THIS IS GOING TO TAKE LONG, we didn't have it service and it's summer. WE have our hitch in the RAV4 and the replacement car given to us is just a COROLLA. It is not EQUIVALENT of what we have. It's summer and really need to have our SUV for family trips and we're stuck staying at home because we need our SUV with hitch to pull our jetski. Tried to raise the issue with the Service department and emailed them about this but no action yet. So I guess, I submit this review to knock some doors and hopefully someone answers...

I got routine maintenance done on my Toyota vehicle in early December of 2014. I had to wait three weeks to get an appointment. My subsequent experience with them ranks as one of the WORST customer service experiences I have ever had. I got the impression that they were so busy ringing up people’s service bills that they couldn’t care less if the customers would be content or ever return. First: I waited 75 minutes past my appointment time for their shuttle and after calling 4 times to enquire about it’s whereabouts and being dismissed, I was told to take a cab to the dealership. Second: After I paid my bill, they told me that they had lost the key to my car! I had to drive an unfamiliar loaner car (without a shovel, brush or scraper) home on dark snowy roads. Third: Although I was told the senior manager would call me to make arrangements to get my car back after they cut a new key, the junior manager called me. He offered me a free oil change for my trouble and told me I could come and pick up my car. Four: When I told the junior manager that I didn’t think an oil change was fair compensation, he said he would look into things. He never called me back. Five: I emailed the manager this review to give him the opportunity to chat before I posted it. He replied to my email and said he would call me. He never called me back. (After I sent the email, I realized my phone message inbox was full, but I emptied it out the same day I sent the message. McPhilips Toyota touts itself as Manitoba’s “hardest working” Toyota dealership. They might work hard to fix your car and hand you your bill, but, in my case at least, they didn’t work very hard to ensure customer satisfaction. For my next service, I will try one of the other Toyota dealerships in the city of Winnipeg and I would advise anybody else to do the same.

we just want to share our experience with mcphillips toyota service. we had a change oil appointment on few days ago and we also mentioned that there is a problem with our car window. Staff told us to bring the car back this week between 9-1 since the person who will check the car window is available on the said schedule. We booked an appointment.On the day of our appointment, they took our car and we waited there for more than 3 hrs, we were the only one sitting on the waiting area. As we were there sitting patiently , a guy asked us if we were waiting for something as the place is going to close soon. To cut the story short, they end up NOT fixing our car window as they DON’T HAVE the parts. We would totally understand if they don’t have the parts, but they should be responsible enough to tell us right away and not to waste our time for nothing.

Do not go there if you value your time. They had a vehicle that I'd been searching for, and because I wanted to jump on the opportunity before it was purchased by someone else I had to bring my small children with me. Because of this I had contacted the dealership ahead of time to make an appointment so they were expecting me. When I got there, there was no one to see me, the car was not pulled up and within half an hour of waiting I had to ask multiple people if I could even see the car I had an appointment to view. The sales woman I ended up with knew very little about this car and then actually asked me if I was ready to purchase. I wanted the car, had the money, but would never give it to them.

Had a appointment for 1.15 for small job replacing a sun visor. Sitting here hour and a half later wondering how long it takes to install a visor. Service record indicated small job. Why bother taking appointments if they mean nothing. Seriously you need to improve your customer service. I for one when I make a appointment for service I expect some resemblance to a time frame. Won’t risk doing business here again.

We bought our first Toyota Corolla from McPhillips Toyota in 2004. We were absolutely pleased with the entire experience. We have had our cars serviced at the garage for the last 11 years and have been very satisfied. We just bought a 2015 Toyota Yaris from Mcphillips Toyota, mostly to be used by our daughter and once again were very pleased with the buying experience. Carter Hanke took whatever time we needed and made sure all our questions were answered. He definitely went the extra mile. I have had conversations over the years with my colleagues and family members about the positive experience I had in 2004 and the high quality of the service department. When it is time to replace our Corolla we will definitely be going to McPhillips Toyota again.

WORST EXPERIENCE WITH A DEALERSHIP EVER!!! When we were sold a used car, we told that there was an extended warranty that came with the car. Great. So we declined any other extended that was offered to us. Less than a year later we had a small issue with the car and went to another Toyota dealership due to us being out of town. They told us we had an extended warranty just under another name and that McPhillips Toyota could help us with transferring it over, seeing as they were one that sold the car to us. So we called them. We were met with rudeness to start things off. Barely had the opportunity to to explain the story. I asked why we told it had an extended warranty when sold the car but not now. All they replied was that they have a document signed saying that extended warranty was refused. And yes it was. BECAUSE THE SALES WOMAN SAID IT WAS ALREADY ON THE VEHICLE!!! Why would I pay for something that already exists. They explained that original owner purchased an extended warranty but those warranties could only be transferred from “Person to Person” so it was impossible to transfer. Funny thing. I bought a used Toyota (from a respectable dealership in small town) which had 4 years of extended warranty that was purchased by the previous customer somewhere else and it was all transferred into my name by that small Toyota dealership. Funny how they can do it but Mcphillips Toyota says it’s IMPOSSIBLE!!! And yes I do agree I should have paid more attention to the paper work that was signed. Seeing as I am also a sales person who deals with warranties. But when I miss sell a product I make sure to correct the issue for my customer, I don’t treat them like a piece of dirt, talk over them constantly when never once did I raise my voice and pretty much hang up on them when they have valid points and understand the sales process. I did get a call back from a manager Kelly who was very polite but did nothing to help the situation unfortunately. In a day where everyone sells the same products what should set you apart is your customer service. I feel that McPhillips Toyota didn’t stand behind their word and just sell cars and boot people out the door and hope they never come back with an issue. Never once did they try and work with with us just NO. We cannot help you unless you pay. The small town Toyota dealership had many different options for us and are a great help for hey at least treated us like a human being!!!!

My husband and I bought a 2014 Rav 4 in August and it is wonderful! Our salesperson was Logan and he was so helpful and even got us the color we wanted, too. Prior to purchasing, I randomly asked a woman with two small children what she thought of her Rav 4 and she loved it. She lived out of town and did not have winter tires, but wouldn't trade it for anything. Well, we agree totally. I did not think I would use the heated seats, but now I cannot be without them. The comfort and luxury of driving "Sammy" is wonderful each time. The music surrounds me; everything is right on the steering wheel and so easy to navigate. I often feel like I am in a Toyoto commercial - one in front, one on each side - no kidding! She parks with such ease and winter driving is a dream - with no snow tires. We are very grateful to Logan for all his assistance. We've had vehicles through this dealer before and have never been disappointed with their courtesy, service or anything else. Service department. The only place I have ever had an oil change that didn't put a tag in my window to remind me when to come in for my next oil change. But they said its some where on my receipt. I bought the car here to and the english guy who helped us told us one milage for toyota oil changes but the service department said he lied and it has to be done twice as often and the owners manual was also wrong. I done care who is right we will never deal with this company again if they can't even tell you when to do an oil change on thier own brand of car with out giving you 3 different stories. I have an amazing experience at this dealership so far. Friendly service staff. The only thing i find iffy is that receptionist don't greet you so it does feel unwelcoming for starter. Maybe its just one particular receptionist I dealt with who didnt greeted us. The indoor car show are great its not too crowded like the Crown Mazda dealership, the only thing is that their car doors are shut. Its would be a better experience to be able to check the interiors too. The building is clean, beautiful bathroom. The chairs are really uncomfortable maybe its time to upgrade furnitures. Lots of great car choices. Our advisors were overall professionals and knew they product well. Details of the transaction were properly outlined, no hidden charges and also provided us with saving tips to better enhance our Toyota experience. I would definitely go back to this dealership. I must say I had a far better experiences here compare to Nissan McPhilips and any Crown dealership.

MPI advised us to get a direct repair quote from a repair shop. Arranged and got a quote from Mcphillips Toyota. The direct repair fellow, K Schroeder was far from being a reliable source at Mcphillips Toyota. Left messages to call us back to arrange next steps. He never answers his phone, never returns calls and is aloof when dealing with him face to face. Had to deal with clerks at reception who acted in his place. This negative review is to make management aware of poor customer service by someone whose job is customer service.

My car developed an issue during a cold snap. I called to see if they could help. I described what was happening and they knew the problem from the description. I was able to get it down there, and it died just as I was parking. They were able to get me another alternator, a new battery, and get me on the road in a few hours. Very thankful that I wasn't left without a car for a few days, because I have mobility issues and it would have been rough for me to get around.

Be careful on dealing with PAUL BOWES - so ARROGANT and an AWEFUL person to deal with. We had misunderstanding with one of sales agent in regards to a feature of a 2017 car we like to buy and since they dont have the 2018 car we like (the salesperson thinks the earliest probably will be aug-sept, not sure to be honest why they have that much backorder). Because of this, I requested politely to get my $500 security deposit and told them to just inform me once the 2018 car that I like becomes available. This Paul Bowes guy came out of nowhere( he is not even the Sales Manager I am dealing with originally but I guess Oscar was busy during that time) and discuss the issue with. I told him the situation and requesting my money back since the feature I like is not availble on the vehicle I plan to get. This guy told me flat out that I am not getting my deposit back and he even told me that I owed them $600 more to pay for all the work he claimed they already did on the vehicle that I like (please note thst I did not sign any bill of sale so not sure why he is charging me $1100). I tried to to explain the situation (about the misunderstanding of the feature) but he still insist that I am not getting security deposit back and even threatened me this time that he will be sending the additional charges to my home address. At this point, I requested the GM or the owner as I feel that talking to this guy is like talking to a wall but this guy REFUSED and he still insist that I will not get anything back and I owe them $600 more.. At this point I just decided to leave and planned to just escalate the issue with my credit card. On my way out, Oscar (our original sales manager) approached me and eventually returned my deposit (Thanks to Oscar). I just want to share this with everyone and hoping that the owner will be aware on how bad this sales manager in dealing with their customers. I DONT UNDERSTAND, WHY A CUSTOMER LIKE ME CANNOT TALK TO THE GM NOR TO THE OWNER FOR SITUATION LIKE THIS - I hope the owner will do something to correct this so people dont go through this bad/painful experience. I hope this will help others when going into this dealership - never deal with PAUL BOWES just deal with someone else

Purchased a new 2021 RAV4 Limited at McPhillips Toyota two weeks ago. We had a great experience with our salesperson Carter Hanke. Carter was friendly without a pressure sales pitch. We test drove a particular RAV4 and decided to purchase it. Added a few accessories and finalized a price. Was very happy to get a good value on our trade in, which was better that a couple of other dealers had offered us for it. Picked up our RAV4 a couple of days later. It was spotlessly clean even though it was a Demo unit with some 6000 km on the odometer. Again Carter went out of his way to lead us through many of the safety features and controls on the RAV4 before we drove off. Thanks Carter, that was very much appreciated. A couple of features on this RAV4 that we really appreciate are the Video Rear View Mirror, Lane Assist, Back-up camera and Lane Change sensors. The Toyota Cell Phone APP is awesome as it performs Remote Start, Vehicle Status, Vehicle Location, Recent Trip maps and even a Driver's Score. We are also very happy with mileage we are getting compared to our last SUV, probably due to the 8-speed transmission with the 2.5 l 4-cyl engine. Even with the 4-cyl the power is more than adequate and as good as the 3.5 l V6 we had in our trade-in. We are back in the Toyota Family. Good to be back! Won't recommend this dealership. If i can only give negative rating(atleast i can give negative feedback) and return the vehicle, i will!!! Beware! I bought a used vehicle, right after the night when the ac was turned off, found out that there was a musty smell coming out of the vents. Fell on a long weekend. As soon as the dealership opened, I called and told the manager and sales administrator about the issue, they checked it but was told they didn't smell anything. Few days i called again and told the sales manager i will give negative feedback if they don't do anything on it. The manager insisted that they didn't smell anything wherein the service administrator already concluded of the mildew and treated with mildew sprays 2x which still didn't work. I asked for the next step and was told that i needed to pay for the repair or treatment if i want to pursue. They even manipulated the invoice repair saying that they only put air freshener instead of the mildew treatment spray. It doesn't matter if people buy new or used vehicles in your company, they invested a lot of money and trusted you! For the owner of this company, Maybe before you hire people, you should send them to an EENT doctor! Eyes to see what's going on! Ears to listen to your customers! Nose to smell the issue! Throat to speak honestly! THE MANAGER AND SALES ADMINISTRATOR ARE LIARS! DON'T BUY TO THIS DEALERSHIP!!! THEY WILL NOT SAY ANY ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE UNLESS YOU NOTICED IT RIGHT AWAY AND ADDRESS IT! BETTER TEST DRIVE IT AS LONG AS YOU CAN AND ASSESS THE VEHICLE!!!

Got a Toyota corolla hybrid from Mcphillips Toyota. The process was relaxed and not stressful. They did no try to keep you there for hours to wear down. Throw numbers at you that keep changimg. No bait and switch tactics. They even offered me some discounts without asking, that I qualified for. The car is excellent. Sales rep and business manager were easy to deal with.

I brought our van in to get checked due to engine noise, I get a call telling me that more diagnosis is required and they needed to open up the engine. I was charged $570 for diagnosis alone and after diagnosing my vehicle for over a week, their services department proposed that to repair my 2008 van, I would need to pay close to $5000, due to all the parts they claimed needed replacing. I took the risk of taking my broken, noisy van out of there, and drove it all the way past Ellice to Rudy's Auto Service. Two days later, Rudy’s called and told me my van was ready for pick up. What they explained to me was this: The codes Toyota presented to me were there because the engine had no oil, but once they filled it, the codes disappeared. After running it, they noticed that the reason why the oil leaked was due to a faulty oil pressure valve, which they then replaced. Overall repair cost was about $700. They did NOT need to open up the engine like the McPhillips Toyota mechanics did, which means that the additional diagnosis was unnecessary and so is the $570 charge that came with it. I dodged a $5000-bullet by avoiding their service. The guys at Rudy’s Auto Service were the ones that told me I should get my money back. They were honest and upfront, and you also get to speak with the mechanic who’s responsible for your vehicle, and not just the guys at the desk like in McPhillips Toyota, whom I found a bit dismissive… Dec. 18, 2015 I brought up the issue to them and tried to get a refund, and I was told that the Service Manager will handle my case and I will get a call the following week. Never did. I went there again only to find that he was on holidays and won’t be back until January. Jan. 2, 2016 I sent an email to the service manager, almost two weeks later I get a reply saying that he will issue the refund that Monday (Jan. 18). He did not. Another month later, Feb 19, I went there yet again, spoke to him and he finally processed the refund and said it will be in the mail by next Friday. It was three Fridays later. Overall, wrong diagnosis and I was charged $570 for unnecessary work. Refund took too long I think, with multiple calls, multiple visits, and a lot of waiting. But whatever, at least they were reasonable enough to give me the refund, but man was it ever troublesome. If you are suspicious about their diagnosis, get a second opinion. A $5000-estimate to a $700-repair job, that’s outrageous. They’re a great car dealership (we got 2 vehicles from them after all) but I no longer trust their auto repair service. Once bitten, twice shy, I suppose.

Soon as we walked in the door we knew this was a great dealership based on how busy it was inside and how many sold vehicles were lined up outside. It was our first time buying a brand new vehicle from this dealership. The staff are extremely friendly and polite. There was a woman constantly washing floors and disinfecting everything during the whole time we were inside. Everyone was wearing masks and socially distanced. We traded in our car and felt the trade in value was fair. Maureen our sales person was very informative and knowledgeable in showing us the many neat features our vehicle has to offer. She answered all our questions and was very patient with us. We had an issue with the undercoat but it was resolved. I really appreciated how a few days later we were contacted by Maureen to see how everything was going with our new vehicle and if we had any questions or concerns. So far we are very pleased with this dealership and would recommend them to anyone looking to buy a new or used vehicle :)

By far my best car buying experience, and that's saying a lot. If you're like me, just the thought of talking to a salesman makes your skin crawl. It's sad that the good ones, I find, are few and far between, but if you go see Messiah Bautista you won't be disappointed. Knowledgable, kind, funny, accommodating, and an all around genuine and normal person. It was so refreshing not to be pestered by upsells, lies and shadyness. Just picked up our brand new 2015 Prius C Technology package in the bright Tangerine Splash Pearl colour that just sparkles in the sun light. Second car we've bought from McPhillips Toyota within the last 12 months. Great deal, great staff, great service. Really appreciate that they do NOT charge the ridiculous so called Administration Fees that every other dealer out there seem to force on you. Great service from Sales Rep. Logan Blade who also owns a Prius C so was a great help in getting us familiar with all the new features of the Technology package. We recommend this car, Logan, and McPhillips Toyota!
