I'm happy with the vehicle i bought. But I wasn't at all with the lady who handle the paper work part. Once I signed everything I left happy. Only to get an email the next day from the lady telling me she forgot to get me to sign an important paper. I live an hour and a half away from the dealership and don't have a fax machine to print and fax back this important paper. I was not happy at all. So the next day I drove all the way back to the dealership to sign this damn paper. Not impressed at all. Very unprofessional on her part. I wasted 3hrs just to sign a very important paper that she should have had me sign in the first place.

Absolutely horrendous service. Vehicle went in and got it back in worse running condition, took it back and it's been a fight ever since. They will not honor their warranty, will not provide parameters or any proof of what they are trying to say is wrong and trying to charge for. The service manager is belligerent, cussing and name calling is not a part of customer service, I am still blown away by her behavior. If you need repairs done to your GM product I'd advise going elsewhere. I gave one star only because I had to...

Good selection, low prices and friendly staff made my initial purchase a pleasant one. I was rather annoyed at receiving several e-mails after the fact, asking for additional information and documents (did I buy the vehicle yet or not, guys?), though everything worked out in the end. Very much NOT thrilled when I brought the vehicle back for the rust-proofing treatment, though. The actual service went fine, and I was given a decent rental car since they needed to keep my new vehicle in the shop overnight. They called me early the next morning to tell me my vehicle was ready, but I couldn't pick it up immediately as I started work in 90 minutes. Upon informing them that I could come in either that evening or the next morning to pick up my vehicle, I was shocked to hear the service guy outright tell me that "I really can't let you have that rental for any longer, you need to come in this morning"! I had been in posession of this rental car for LESS THAN EIGHTEEN HOURS at this point, and had just finished a $50,000+ purchase from them, and this guy was telling me that they couldn't let me have a rental for even ONE SINGLE ENTIRE DAY?!? Now, looking back on the experience, the appropriate thing to do would be to tell this guy to stuff it, and I'll be there tomorrow morning. But He was being quite insistent, and I didn't want to risk them adding charges to my credit card over this. So I found myself rushing FORTY MINUTES ALL THE WAY ACROSS TOWN to return the damned rental car, rushing in to retrieve my new truck, and then rushing ANOTHER FORTY MINUTES BACK ACROSS TOWN to my job! Considering that I only had 90 minutes to start with, and traffic is a thing? It didn't end well. I wound up almost half an hour late for work, explaining myself to my supervisor... All because this dealership, or at least the service department, was too cheap to let me keep a rental car for even ONE DAY. For reference, I used to drive a Dodge, and the last time a situation like this occurred they were more than happy to let me keep their (significantly nicer) rental car ALL THE WAY THROUGH A WEEKEND in order to find a solution that worked equally well for both the dealership and the customer. A VERY DISAPPOINTING flaw in an otherwise rather pleasant experience!

Worse Service ever. I booked an appointment to fix my cars glass. They told me to bring the car to their location and they would fix it by coming Tuesday. But it was not done and I brought my Car back and waiting for their call. Nobody followed up and I phoned them to ask again. Then they told me that I had to wait for another two-three weeks. I wanted their Seniors contact information and nobody provided me with the information. I am completely disappointed after getting a brand new Cadillac from them. I am paying lease for standing car more than two weeks.

I visited 3 dealers to buy a new GMC Sierra Elevation. I dealt with Kelly McNaught and she did a great job finding me a truck and doing a reasonable deal. I spent almost $70,000 and I drove away with half a tank of gas. Kelly said this was all you get from GMC, I'm assuming Gauthier do not top it up then. So beware, you only get half a tank of gas! There were a few other issues that needed ironing out. I replied to Tannis, their customer service person, I never even got a reply. Oh well... I will shop elsewhere next time I need a truck. Caveat emptor.

Still one of the friendliest dealers in town. Their service department staff is always friendly, responsive, knowledgable and never perform work without contacting you first to clear it. My only complaint is the time estimates are always way off when completing vehicle service. But at least there's free wifi and coffee in the comfy lounge area!

New car manager (Steve) came in with an attitude and lost a lease. Had an offer to purchase on a new 2020 Cadiilac XT5 and tried to get a printout of our deal which they made seem like it was a difficult task at first. Was haggling on a few items such as floor mats and lease km allowance since the numbers weren't matching what I expected after our first go around. We had even purchased our last vehicle there which was a brand new Enclave at the time. I had asked for the printout for a reference so I could at least have some numbers to work with and even though we couldn't seem to agree on where we both thought we were and he replied "we're not printing anything for you." Could have been a slight miscommunication in numbers (I thought it was $289 b/w but it was $297) but the defensive attitude and what seemed to be borderline bullying is what turned me right off and I walked. EDIT as of 06/18 - I was contacted by the sales associate (Carsen) who ended up saving the sale and making me feel comfortable and valued as a customer. I understand we can all have a bad day but we only get one first impression. But recently since this occurrence, Gauthier Cadillac has stepped up and made things right. I now drive my 2020 Cadillac XT5 daily and couldn't be happier with it. Big thanks to Patrick for following up and the rest of the staff at Gauthier for righting the ship. I will not hesitate to continue doing business here. I have amended the review and rating to reflect my current thoughts towards this business.

I just bought a 2014 GMC Terrain SLT-2 in black cobalt and LOVE IT!!!!! It was time to trade in the 2002 GMC Envoy and I honestly couldn't be happier with the deal I got at Jim Gauthier at 2400 McPhillips. It was my first stop when I decided I wanted to test drive the Terrain. And I test drove a few makes and models. But with 0% financing for 84 months, free oil changes for 2 years, 3 year bumper to bumper warranty and a $500 Polo Park gift card the perks were hard to ignore!!! Not to mention the beautiful brand new Terrian I am now driving. A big thank you to Shaylan and Brodie for your patience and time in putting together a deal that I felt really really good about. You definitely earned my business and were great to deal with. And to Guy, who sat with me in my new vehicle and went over everything again with me (so many high tec features) on the day I came to pick it up. I had purchased slightly used 2013 Terrain in February 2013 and was very please with Guy Nowe in assisting with the sale of this vehicle. As scheduled service was required for our Terrain, Jim Gauthier reminded us. Service was booked, and handled pleasantly and efficiently to our satisfaction. Thereby when it was time to add a 2nd vehicle to our household, I checked Jim Gauthier for available used inventory. Since they had a vehicle I was interested in, Guy Nowe was my immediate person to speak to. Had they not had what I was looking for, I probably would have delayed my purchase until they had the right vehicle for me. After agreeing on the vehicle and purchase, and was then pleased to deal with Brad Bailey and finalizing the sale. When i am ready to consider an upgrade - I will be contacting Jim Gauthier and dealing with these two profesionals again.

Tried buying a new truck from Gauthier and when I received a reply it was from a Kelly Mcnaught who advised the truck I was inquiring about wasn't available as it was sold sometime ago, I then asked about another truck and never received any reply or interest in my business, shortly thereafter I received an email from a Shaylan Okapiec thanking me for my interest in possibily purchasing a new truck from Gauthier, I replied that I wasn't dealing with Gauthier anymore as it appeared that Kelly Mcnaught or anyone else wasn't interested in my business as she doesn't reply to any of my requests. Well , same storey, I never received any reply to my email from Mr Okapiec either, which certainly showed this dealership really isn't interested in my business, so I moved on and purchased a new truck from another gmc dealer who was very much respectful and interested in my business. After a few months, a friend of mine who I related my experience with Gauthier too, asked me to email VP Jason Cross my experience as he was a friend of his. Well even though I thought Gauthier had more then an opportunity to contact me, out of respect to my friend, I emailed Cross relating my experience, well unfortunately, AGAIN, I never received any reply from him either, I related to my friend, I've bought my truck already, so they have no interest in me or customer service. Unfortunately I like many feel, it's about sales, sales sales, period. EDITED - Darlene followed up and called me to give apologies and let us know the situation has been talked about and dealt with. She's very nice, and I appreciate the customer follow up. Talk to her if you're having issues! Nice people, but slow. Waited 4 hours for an oil change, and to get our tires switched from winter to summer and a new winter tire due to a puncture. We were told to wait in the lounge, if we had been told to figure out a ride or take the shuttle or something so we can enjoy our day in the city it would've been appreciated as we live 1hr30mins outside of the city... Now I am risking being late for a dentist appointment across the city... Then we get our vehicle and they broke the hitch cover and didn't say anything, we noticed and had to tell them. Why whoever broke it tried to pass it off as not broken.. Idk..But not instilling my trust that's for sure.

Mid November my instrument panel alerted me to low pressure in one of my tires and sure enough I discovered a nail. I called Gauthier Cadillac early Friday afternoon and John was nice enough to squeeze me in that same afternoon. The tire was repaired in about one hour and I was pleasantly surprised that it was also covered under warranty! I popped over to Dairy Queen and brought the Service Department a box of DQ Ice Cream Sandwiches as a small token of my appreciation for so promptly taking care of my situation. LOVE my XT4 Having happily owned six Chrysler 300s purchased one after another from Bryan at Gauthier Chrysler on Regent, I was disappointed that Bryan just couldn't find me a newer 300 to replace my 2016 as I generally like to stay on warranty with my vehicles. I saw a Free Press ad for a new XT4 at Gauthier Cadillac on McPhillips and called Bryan who kindly made arrangements for me to meet with Shaylan at their Gauthier sister location. Shaylan had the sharp looking XT4 ready for my test drive when I arrived. Kelly expertly walked me through the many features of the vehicle and sent me on my way. I drove down McPhillips for 20 minutes - handling was excellent, adjustable seating very roomy and comfortable for my 6 foot 2 inch frame, acceleration was exactly what I hoped for, visibility while driving superb and headlights outstanding , and all instruments and controls easy to use. I returned to Gauthier and sat in the roomy back seats, opened the power liftgate which revealed ample space for my hockey equipment, and made sure to further try out a few of the features that I deem mandatory: remote start, heated seats and steering wheel, excellent heating and air conditioning, interior storage, functional cup holders and a good sound system. I relayed to Shaylan that I was definitely interested in trading my 300 for the XT4 and in no time Shaylan came up with the exact price I had been hoping for! Couldn't have been happier with the stress free environment Kelly and Shaylan effortlessly provided. The XT4 also includes 4 years / 80,000 KMs of Oil Changes, Tire Rotation, Air Filter replacement and more. Many thanks to Shaylan, Kelly and Jason and the Gauthier Dealerships for taking excellent care of me once again !!!

Took my truck in for a power windows repair. Was diag and got a phone call pretty quick. Got it repaired. Counter staff was friendly and eagar to help. Only issue I had was when I picked up the truck didn't notice the hood wasn't closed properly and noticed driving at 60kms a hour it was vibrating and almost flew open called back and told them what had happened they said they'd make a note of it.

I would like to take a few minutes to share a positive experience we had, and continue to have, at a car dealership here in Winnipeg. Seven months ago, my fiancée and I purchased a used Chevrolet Malibu from Jim Gauthier Cadillac Buick GMC over on McPhillips Street at Templeton Avenue. We were hesitant to go in at first because due to mistakes we've made in the past, our credit situation isn’t that great. Both of the individuals we dealt with (Richard and Barret) treated us with dignity and kindness, even after seeing that our credit history was horrible. Not only that, but they were extremely patient and understanding while we attended to the needs of our (then) 4 month-old baby girl. Over the last seven months, this professional and courteous treatment has extended to all of our interactions with the various people who work at this dealership. Our vehicle has been in for service a couple of times due to climate-related issues: Both times the mechanics did an awesome job fixing the vehicle. Not only that but Kevin, our service advisor, managed to cut us a break on the repair costs and was very knowledgeable when it came to warranty coverage, as well as the ins and outs of our vehicle and its operation. The dealership even lent us a vehicle while we waited for the repairs to be completed! If you are considering a new or used vehicle, we HIGHLY recommend Jim Gauthier Cadillac Buick GMC. They'll work with you even if your credit is less than perfect, and they will look after you long after the sale's been made.

We bought a used Truck from them back in March 2018, driving it off the lot after signing our papers, lights went on, suspension issues. Brought the truck back the next day - they kept it for a week. Received it back, a week later, same issue, again they kept it for another week. Lets just say we only drove our truck a few times within a month. Don't follow their used vehicle policy - its only on CERTIFIED and they don't have any or very little - AND they don''t explain this when purchasing a used vehicle from them!!~ No such thing as a guarantee for 30 days on their used vehicles....read the small print! With a hand shake and a 'written guarantee (Til Dec 2018)" from their manager that we will NOT have this problem again. Problem is back! I've called and emailed, not one person has acknowledged this. All I want is my truck fixed - options have been given to them, that another Gauthier is willing to do. I am one unhappy customer. I feel extremely ripped off. I will NEVER shop at this location EVER AGAIN .

Purchased a used Lexus from the JG Cadillac, car came with no licence plate covers (rusted odd sized licence plate screws) half tank or gas, window chip on the driver's side of the vehicle and missing the factory first aid. Getting this rememded with the sales mgr has been difficult at best, staff that was delegated to remedy had no idea what i was talking about. The TOD indicated the car was driven 1400 km in a week before i purchased this vehicle. God knows what they did to this sports car during that time. Don't ever purchase a used vehicle from them. Extremely disappointed with the follow up from this JG dealership.Update: JG attempted to fix the windshield but it willbhave to be replaced. Had the winter tires and rims put on it. The service dept stated the tpms was reset and it wasn't. Had to take to the Lexus dealer to drop another 70 bucks. Dont buy a used car from this dealership. They beg you to have it services at their dealership but they are dishonest and can't even complete basic work. Every trip except one has been nothing but a disaster. Now I'm waiting at the Lexus dealer waiting for the work that was suppose to be done and paid for at JG.

If you are looking to purchase a vehicle i implore you to purchase from a dealership that is going to treat you like a long term client over a quick customer transaction just to get the commission from your purchase. There are plenty of vehicle dealerships, and vehicle sales people in and around Winnipeg, use any of them but do not purchase from this dealership. Ever since signing for the vehicle I have purchased from this dealership I have had nothing but negative experiences. Update* A Digital Marketing Director contacted me to apologize for the incident and resolve the issue. I have amended my review from a 1 to a 5 star and am hopeful that one bad egg doesn’t speak for the rest of their more courteous and experienced staff.

My fiance and I had recent dealings with the online company selling vehicles for Gauthier, it was a rough start and the online company wasn't much of a help in resolving issues once delivery of vehicle was made. Sometimes things take time to get fixed properly. Although my car took time to fix, I felt like Denny was doing his best to get things fixed as quickly as possible.
