The service department is a disaster. There is poor communication between company and customer. When I'm there I feel like a nuisance with whatever issue I'm having. My vehicle is never ready when promised and when more time is needed, they call at the last minute while I'm already on my way to the dealership. I think this is another case of a company biting off more than they can chew and over-booking. Very frustrated with the service here.

First time at Crown Honda on McPhillips. Seems like a well run organization. I came in for a simple tire swap. Pros: cookie cutter Honda peace of mind, efficient and pleasant counter staff. They washed my car. Cons: and i am nit picking here... there is music blaring constantly from the showroom. Burning Down the House at 745am is not what anyone needs. They have a great customer waiting area with fireplace and TV...neither of which are turned on to enjoy or keep us entertained. I was not directed to a place to grab coffee like other Honda dealerships. Those things would have made my experience better. But overall i was very pleased with Crown Honda on McPhillips.

I was previously leasing a 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport and I wanted to learn the transition of leasing to financing because I decided that I eventually want to own my car. Myles Genido really broke it down for me and enabled me to understand what I was signing up for, how certain things worked regarding financing etc and he explained it the best unlike anyone else I dealt with at Crown Honda in my several years of business there. He offered me a proposal that I couldn't turn down and I honestly thought it was too good to be true but I took it and now I'm the proud owner of a 2020 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport! I was having problem with my key, and went there at 9:30 with an appointment and waited there till around 10:55, but, they could not check my car in between this time. So, I had to left as I had job from 11. I asked about it earlier (I have job from 11 so I have to leave by 10:30) when i fixed appointment. I went there,the gentleman who was taking the information about the problem, was saying if the problem is not showing up often then they could not do anything. If I am not facing enough problem why am I there?! Really frustrating! wasted my morning without any reason. But I called waverly honda. They just said you do not need any appointment and it just need to reprogram. And, I went waverly honda several time and they are always amazing with their service.

A terrific experience from start to finish. My family was looking to replace our van, which we had for 13 years. We came to Crown Honda as we saw a great deal on a recently used Honda Odyssey. My only concern is one guy that works there that sometimes he speaks ok with the customer another time he seams tired and looks don’t care about the customer and serves a terrible customer service. This review is for the body shop in the Crown Honda dealership on McPhillips. I did not purchase my vehicle from this dealership. I took my 2018 Mazda CX-9 to the Crown Honda Body Shop based on local reviews. The repair work was specifically for fixing some paint damage on the driver and passenger side rear quarter panel/door. The car went into the shop on Nov. 16th, and I picked it up on Dec. 4th. While it was there, I was informed that MPI had misquoted one of the repair items, and that they had to request approval from MPI to order the part that should have been replaced. This added an extra week to the turnaround time, so if MPI hadn't screwed up, I would have had my car back on Nov. 28th (approx. 8 business days in the shop). That's quite fast, IMO. Initially I was a little worried that a body shop wouldn't be able to match the factory-applied tri-layer machine grey metallic paint, and I voiced my concern with Chantel, the body shop advisor. She reassured me that they had painted the color before with success. Fast forward to my pickup date, and the repair work is EXCELLENT. Perfect paint match with the factory Mazda paint. They even replaced the rear bumper cover! Thank you so much to Rick and the Crown Honda autobody and glass team for making my CX-9 look brand new again! Also, a huge thank you to Chantel for answering my many emails. Communication was excellent while I had my car in the shop, and she even emailed me to follow up about a week later. I won't hesitate to bring my car back if necessary, and I'll gladly recommend them to friends and family for any collision repair work. Also worth noting is that they provided a free Enterprise rental while the car was in the shop. A lot of body shops do this now, but it's still nice to know. Attached to this review are some photos of the work that was done and the perfectly matched paint. The last four photos show what it looked like before it went to the shop (damage).

Shayla and her managers were also willing to make something work for us and were up front and honest with the numbers regarding our payment plan which was VERY much appreciated!!! Terrible mechanics at this Honda location. I believe they charge every customer for useless things. I was having AC problem on my honda civic 2013. I told them the exact problem. But they said that they need to diagnose and will charge 159 for diagnosis. I agreed, and they told me it will need work worth of 1450 dollars approx for fixing AC. I agreed to that. Aftrt 3 days, they said your AC job is done and you can take the car. When I went there, before paying, i checked the car AC, but the same problem was still there. Then they took another 2 days without providing me any rental car. After 3 days, they finally provided me rental car and then they said your car needs additional work and will start working once you pay 1700 dollars of previous work done on your car. And they told me that the work may increase to 2000 additional or even may go to 5000, they are not sure, because they need to follow technical guidelines to fix AC. My question is that, if they need to go through each single process of changing each part as their guidelines show, then what is the meaning of diagnosis? This is what they charge every customer for any problem. The maintenance manager was nice, but still we end up paying 532 for labor charges, and they put back our original compressor and other parts which were already working. Will never recommend this Honda service centre for any type of vehicle services. June 28 2020

I recently went to look at Honda Certified Pre-owned Odyssey here. The saleswoman was nice enough, but there was one dishonest tactic that troubled me. We went through a little negotiation on out-the-door price, and she ended up reducing it slightly. After we agreed on price, I had a few other questions to ask. One of them was about the details of Honda Certified Pre-Owned aspect of the car. When I brought this up, she said “oh, it won’t be Pre-Owned Certified any more because we reduced the price. We have to pay for that certification you know.” So, she didn’t mention this when we were negotiating a price, and obviously wasn’t going to tell me at all until I specifically asked about it. I noped out of there, and the she proceeded to text me a number of times still trying to sell me the car. Pretty lame. I had another bad experience with Crown group years ago. Lesson learned. — UPDATE: hey Crown Honda, I see your reply there. I would appreciate a direct comment from you on the specific concern I mentioned, where the salesperson stealthily took the Honda Certified status away after reducing the price. Is that something you condone?

Had a fantastic experience here when buying my new vehicle, a 2018 Honda Civic Hatchback. Myles was very personable and set everything up so the buying process would be as simple and stress-free as possible. He seemed less like a salesperson and more like a guy you'd have a beer with. The rest of the staff I came into contact with were also very accommodating. The only complaint I have is that last time I came to Crown Honda (Feb 2018) to get repairs done on my old vehicle it was in the shop for at least a week and I wasn't given any suggestions in terms of car rentals during that time.

Place very organized and clean. Show room is really big! Went there to pick up parts. On the outside of the building it actually doesn't show where the parts Dept entrance is because it's in the center of the show room. They have a good display and they have a lot of stock on winter tires and aftermarket wheels. With all the decals for aftermarket products at the parts counter. This would be a place to upgrade your ride. Also I called around the city looking for a dealer only part. Not only did they have stock but it was less money. Definitely a place to check out.

We contacted Crown with the intention to test drive a specific model. They were able to confirm they had one for us to try, and we set up an appointment to do so. Angelica was our assigned Product Advisor. We found her to be approachable and easy to get along with - overall a pleasure to spend time with. She was very thorough and asked all of the right questions to make sure she understood what we were looking for. Her product knowledge of the car was excellent. We discussed potential vehicle add-on's with her and also looked at some different models to get a sense as to whether we were on the right track or not. She was extremely patient and knowledgeable during the entire process. We decided during that same visit with Angelica to purchase the car we had tested. We then met the rest of the team, including Glenn, the Financial Service Manager, who assisted us with financing. With his assistance we were able to determine a package that worked best for us, including some of the add-on's (also winter tires) which Angelica had assisted us with. Some of the items had to be ordered in from Calgary, so we set up a date on the following week to pick up our new Honda. We were able to set up everything easily. Hansel, a Product Advisor, and Glenn were there when we picked up our car. Hansel walked us through all of the features of the new car, which Angelica had previously mentioned during our test drive. We were grateful that Hansel went through all the features again - we were coming from a 2001 car which had no digital features, so we certainly had a huge learning curve to go through! We decided we wanted some additional interior features after our purchase, so recently we have also had a positive experience with Ken, the Parts Manager. Overall the team there is very knowledgeable and approachable. We are very happy with our experience at Crown!

SERVICE REVIEW: Brought my vehicle in for a general, multi-point inspection to check if anything needed maintenance before winter. Dropped off car at 10:30am and was told it would be ready by 4pm when I dropped it off. Came before 4 and was told it would take a little longer, so I waited until 4:45pm. Finally after asking about my vehicle for the second time they said it was now ready. Was given nothing but empty excuses and no accountability. If you expect a reasonable timeframe for any service to your vehicle I recommend going anywhere else but here.

My experience with Crown Honda McPhillips has been less than satisfactory. I made an appointment and arrived 5 minutes early. As soon as I walked in the door I was treated as an annoyance. I informed the service employee my engine light was on and had only just recently turned off about an hour ago. I was leaving for a business trip the next day and wanted to ensure everything was alright. The service employee tried to push my business away, stating that there was nothing they could do and it would be useless to diagnose the vehicle without the light on. Striking me as odd, I said I would like it checked anyway. He told me it would cost $145 and began to process. An hour passes and they tell me my Air/Oil Separator is causing issues and oil is leaking and dripping on the Knock sensor which is causing code P0328 to go off for the engine light. I asked how much would it be after taxes and labor and if my extended warranty would cover it. The service employee from before calls my extended warranty company and informs me they won't cover a thing. Not labor, not parts. Nothing. I said understood, please fix my vehicle and I will pick it up and pay when it is ready. The next morning I pay $711.22 out of pocket and thank the service employee and mechanics for their work. 7 days later, my engine light is on again. I borrow a scanner from a family friend, and the code is the same; P0328 - the code for the Knock sensor. I take a closer look at the notes on my receipt and they state "Knock sensor voltage high. Deleted code and did not duplicate. Checked for poor connection monitored and passed." Once I had the car scanned I called the Service Manager, who blew off the concerns I raised about my experience as well as my vehicle. He said "At the end of the day, Bella you still needed to fix the air and oil separator." I said "Yes, I understand but this is not the problem I am expressing. I want to know why virtually nothing was done regarding the Knock sensor." We agreed I would drop off my vehicle for the Early Bird service and they would take a look. I've yet to receive a call from the service department, but I did receive a call from their sales department if I was looking to sell my vehicle. I'm not. Since my light came back on I have done my own research as well as discussed with previous Crown Honda mechanics my problem and determined that the Knock sensor is a simple part to test. Even though it passed the test, why not remove it and test again to be sure? Or replace the sensor and clean any excess oil or residue from the harness electrical contacts? The big kicker? After multiple forums, discussions with the previous mechanic and endless searching: Oil dripping onto the sensor doesn't damage it and therefore is not the reason for the code! And to put the icing on the cake? I called my warranty company and asked why they were not able to cover my air to oil separator. They seemed confused and so did I. It turns out, they are more than willing to cover part of my claim and it was approved this morning. Honda gets paid regardless if the job is covered by warranty or out of pocket. So why was I lied to? For Crown Honda Phillips to receive the payment faster rather than to jump through warranty hoops? I should be able to trust what they are telling me, but trust has been broken. Crown AutoGroup states that Crown Honda owners are "a family" and their CEO promises they will treat "every customer like an honoured guest in our home." I am a loyal Crown Honda Owner. So why am I being treated as an inconvenience?

DO NOT TRUST KELLY AND STAFF AT CROWN HONDA. Brought my vehicle in to Crown because it wouldn't start. My home mechanic said it needed a sensor changed. Crown said it was a timing belt. I explained to Kelly that I had very little money. They changed the timing belt for $1200 and then told me that the motor was blown and it would cost me $6200 for a new motor on my 15 year old vehicle. I paid their $1200 and towed my vehicle away. No Christmas for my kids and no vehicle. Yeah - so here's an update...Had my vehicle towed back to my original mechanic who looked at it. It did NOT need a new motor for $6200. I have been driving it and it is doing just fine. So... Did my vehicle really need a timing belt? If we believe that, then must we also believe that it needed a new motor? How much do we believe. What if I had paid the $6200 and had the new motor installed?

I was given incorrect information by one of the Sales Reps. I got a call telling me that they were willing to buy my current car for more than its market value. I currently have a 2017 Honda Accord Touring on lease with 23k Kms. So, I thought I’ll see what they have to offer. On my first visit, I was told that there’s $23,100 loan left on my car and they were offering me $22,000. So, of course they could push it to $23,000 easily. I was told that if I buy the next car from them, in addition to them buying my current car, I will also get 12% of tax back(so in total I would have gotten around $2400- the number he gave me, as a down payment towards my next car). So, I went home, spent hours looking for a used car that I would like, went back to their location. Not only I was told that there is around $24,500+ loan left for my current car, also that I won’t get 12% tax back because my car is on lease. And that was after I already took 2 cars for test drive and decided the one I wanted. A $14,555 posted price car was costing me around $22,000. I wasted so much time and and came home disappointed. Nobody even apologized and instead the guy was trying to cover up saying he didn’t know my car was on lease. Dude, if you are giving me a number, even if you say I didn’t tell you my car is on lease(which we clearly discussed for more than 15 minutes as you explained lease vs. Finance), aren’t you supposed to check? Aren’t you suppose to give correct information? Never been misguided this bad!

I just bought a 2022 CRV from Crown Honda on McPhillips on December 3, 2021 and the experience was a 10 out of 10. Darshana Munasinha was my salesman and he was sincere, helpful and courteous. He was a pleasure to deal with. I have previously purchased 3 new cars for myself and 2 with my ex-girlfriend from various dealers for different car brands. For all 5 previous new car purchases we didn’t get any extras, such as, extended warranty, undercoating, etc. In all 5 cases the finance managers was visibly choked when these extras were turned down, and in 2 cases the finance managers were actually rude for the rest of the transaction. This makes me dread dealing with the finance manager during these transactions. This was my first Honda dealer transaction and Glenn Alcantara was the finance manager. He was very friendly and personable. When I turned down the extras, he continued with the same positive and happy attitude. I have not experienced this before from a finance manager and made my car purchase very enjoyable. I will definitely be purchasing my next car at Crown Honda on McPhillips.

It's pretty late for this - but I have a lot of time today at work. This happened in May 2021. It was all good until we went there to buy a car. New Honda Civic 2021. Everything was finalized. They did a credit check on my girlfriend's bureau and everything - we agreed on the payment and the terms. We arrive at the store and BOOM! The payment and the terms changed overnight! Their finance guy Mark is the most rude guy ever! he was like if you don't want to buy it it's fine. Dude? you just did a credit check for nothing?! It was because of your mistake we took a hit on our bureau! Go back to training I would suggest. And learn to talk properly to your customers. Although I would really like to appreciate Dee - their sales associate, he was really supportive throughout, he was really concerned about us. Cheers, Dee! Dee was in contact with us throughout and was apologetic after what happened. Please visit them if you want to take hits on your bureau and end up with nothing! Their finance manager Mark will change your payments overnight! Have a good day.

The service center needs to work on their communication with customers. I dropped my car off at 7:30 A.M. this morning for a service which was supposed to take half a day. I waited for a phone call to tell me my car was ready & decided to call around 5 P.M. to tell them I would be coming to pick up my car. The girl who answered the phone first could not locate my vehicle. She asked me "are you sure your car was dropped off for a service?" Then, when she was able to locate it, she informed me it would not be available for pick-up until Monday. Why was I not called to let me know there was an issue? I asked her this and her response was "Well, service is a mess right now." I will definetely not be recommending this dealership to anyone I know.

Best Honda dealership in Winnipeg! When I was recently buying a Civic, I got in touch with all dealerships in the city and Crown at McPhillips had the best team. Alvin, the salesman who was working with me, offered the best deal out of all dealers and made the overall experience simple and pleasant. Unlike other dealerships, I wasn't being pressured into buying the car as soon as possible (which happened at Crown at Waverly) or shamed for wasting their time (Birchwood at Regent). The overall environment was friendly and much more casual than at other dealers. Glenn, who set up financing, took the time to go through the entire contract with me making sure everything was clear. I am torn with this review, I receive fantastic customer service from the service centre so I want to make sure they get their dues. This is where I take my Honda to be serviced and they are wonderful. I would NEVER deal with the sales side of the McPhillips Crown Honda. I purchased my first HRV from the dealership and had so many customer service issues and actually had to escalate the communication and behaviour of the GM to the owners. That being said the Dilawri's themselves and the sales crew at the Waverly Honda (owned by the same group) were amazing. So I would say get service at the McPhillips Honda the team is fantastic and well managed, but Buy from the Waverly dealership. I do t think my experience with the sales management team there is exclusive to me either, I know three others that had very similar experiences and ended up getting it resolved and working with the folks at Waverly. ** Just an addition, you can see from the response from the dealership a glimmer of what I experienced, instead of listening and solving some simple issues, I was constantly told how " they are great and everyone loves their service", it took 5 months of trying to resolve the issue with the GM of the dealership before I escalated it. One phone call with the VP and the other dealership it was resolved. So it wasn't a huge issue that they couldn't resolve, or that I was an overly difficult customer. It was that when I was trying to get it resolved I was constantly told that I was wrong and the issue wasn't real, and that EVERYONE loved their customer service, and that I was the problem. Their response confirms to me they haven't changed on the sales side. Would still highly recommend the service department though. They are phenomenal!

My own experience was very bad with crown Honda . I purchased car then car had issue after one week . I approached sale person , he referred me to manager Ryan . He told me once you signed papers then after that we have no relation . Call Honda or try somewhere else . We spent 47000 dollars and after one week car dead . Planned to file case in small court and file complaint in Manitoba motor dealer association.
