I had a great experience with Kia on Regent and specially with Carlos. I was able to learn about a vehicle, take it for a drive, apply for it and take it home all at the same day - efficiency - even though I spent pretty much the entire day at the dealership. The only thing I'm hoping is that this service keeps being great, because everyone have had that experience were it was nice, easy and simple to purchase something, but then if you have any problems after that you're left aside with no solutions. BTW dos anyone know how to view the digital speedometer??? Kia manual sucks lok

I purchased a used 2013 Civic earlier this year and the customer service was terrible. The last thing that I want to do is to leave a bad review but I feel like people should be aware of how this place runs their business. The car had a few rust spots on the inside of the back passenger door. The sales people at the front convinced me that Kia would fix the rust at no extra charge and that it was minor and nothing that I had to worry about. Once I was in the finance office I was scared into purchasing extra rust protection which was part of a $2300 package. The breakdown of this package wasn't explained thoroughly and I signed documents thinking that I was spending far less on the rust protection. I regret not asking more questions but feel like I was pressured into signing a document that was being misrepresented to me. Once the car was purchased I was told that the rust protection/repair would take 2 days. 13 days and a huge runaround later I had my car. I asked to speak to the General Manager on multiple occasions and they would just send me to a different finance or sales manager. Finally, and only after I brought my partner in to a meeting with me, I was offered 3 free oil changes, but I said that I didn't want to go back there so I requested a $100 gas card for my trouble, to which the sales manager agreed to, but that never arrived in the mail even after we called and left several messages to speak to someone. I could go on and on but to top it all off it has been 4.5 months since I purchased the car and the RUST IS BACK! UPDATE - After contacting the GM directly, we sat down to discuss the issues that I had with the initial purchase and the recent rust resurfacing. We scheduled an appointment to redo the rust damage and detail the car. The rust is now fixed and I did receive the original gift card that was promised. My experience with Kia the second time around was professional and exactly what I would expect from a dealership.

I got my car here about 6 months ago and while it was generally a pleasant experience (Thanks to Reggie!), I'm also quite impressed with the service dept. I dealt with Bryan and he was able to sort out the issue I had. Hopefully I don't get any more issues but if they come up I'll be happy to come back here.

Went looking to purchase a used vehicle with my S/O that unfortunatley did not work out. Kaitlyn, Roy, and Jason were BY FAR the most cooperative, knowledgable, and helpful salesmen/woman we met during our process. They did absoloutley everything they could to get us a price and car that would work for us, unfortunatley it just came down to them not having the vehicle we had our hearts set on. They admitted when I confronted them and yet did not take any responsibility instead asking me to pay for the repairs if I was willing to purchase the car!), they don't follow up except when it's in their advantage and last negative point a clumsy and laughable sales pitch which ended an embarrasing experience with this location.

Horrible experience, brought in my kia for a noise the steering wheel is making.. left it there for 4 hours and they could not make the sound I was referring to. I asked if they looked into anything that it could be and was told no. I went back to the location, I did not even pull my car out of the parking stall before the noise was heard.. I had 2 staff out to hear it and one took a video. The mechanics had already left for the day. I was told to be back the next morning at 7am and I could get a shuttle to work and I could show a mechanic. I was there right at 7 to find out that no mechanic was on site until 8. I showed the guy at the front the issue again and had to leave for work. A few hours passed and I find out that my steering rack assembly needed replacing... this is a 2015 kia sorento.. I was a little surprised. I was told the work will be done for free based on the warranty but I had to pay for an alignment. I asked why and stated that an alignment was a direct result of having to do the work. I was simply told that I would have had to get it done anyways as it's recommended to get done annually. I said that this was not fair and that I should not have to pay for this, he changed the subject and said the parts are on order and did not know how long it would take. I asked if it would be corrected by the weekend as I planned to take a road trip as I had previously mentioned to him , he said he did not know. I was told that the parts would come 7 days later. This causing me to miss my trip, as I did not want to take a vehicle with this issue on the highway, this being ignored he told me I needed my oil changed. I said I would go to my regular place and he advised it would likely be the same price. I called my oil chance place and my last oil change was June 18 at 61000kms and we were sitting at July 26 at 63000. When i went to get my suv I provided this information as well as where I got my oil change and asked that it be documented as the paper he handed me said I declined the oil change although it was recommended. He said he refused and said as long as I had my paper work and that he was only going off the sticker... the sticker had the same info I provided.. I sent an email explaining my horrible experience.. how i am frustrated and feel totally horrible about this situation to my sales guy.. he sent it to management (the same lady that was there when I picked up my car) this was on the 26th, it is now the 28th and I have not had a reply. My dad tried to call management on my behalf in 12 hours none of us got a call back. I lost 3 hours of pay from bringing in my car the first time which was not successful at all. I am also not able to go on my trip as I do not want to risk any issues with the vehicle, next week is my vacation and it's spent waiting on kia to fix my suv.. Horrible customer service, I am seriously considering never buying a kia again or anything from birchwood simply based on this horrible experience... which isn't even done yet.

This is definitely the worst customer service I've EVER experienced. I purchased a car almost 2 wks ago & the only time someone contacted me was because I called first & said some things were wrong with the car. This was a wk & change. After I got there and sorted everything out, I assumed the service would've gotten better. WRONG! I had to leave my car there because when I initially got it, it wasn't detailed, I found a crack in the window which they wanted me to go through MPI and get it fixed (lol) because they "didn't have the time" & for them to install the command start which they said they could do the week after (which is the wk we are now in). Called on Monday to find out how long it'll take and the status, since I left it on Saturday morning. Jason told me someone from each department would call/just one person to confirm when it can be picked up. It's now THURS and I've called everyday in hopes of getting through to someone. Surpisingly, I got through to Connor who said he will call back in 10 minutes and NOTHING, so I decided to try calling again. I'm STILL not able to get a hold of TIM, CONNOR, JASON, nor any other manager to assist. ALL they do is try to PAGE or send me to someone's voicemail. They're always busy, not in office or "with a customer". This is a duplicitous customer service, they don't even deserve 1 star!

I left today after sitting there for 45 minutes with no shuttle and our vehicle hadn't even entered the building. Had the worst experience yesterday (August 18th, 2018). My wife and I were ready to buy a 2018 Kia Forte, Reggie (sales) did an amazing job for us. We were sent in to see “Lee” in finance and that is where it ended. Lee started by saying that legally he has to go over the extended warranty with us, we said we didn’t want to buy it but we would listed. Lee then said that we need to know what we’re saying “no” too. He said “did you know that brakes are covered under warranty”? My wife looked and me and said “why weren’t yours covered then?” (I bought a Kia Soul in 2014 and had to replace the brakes last year). Then Lee said “brakes are covered for the first year).....that was a little misleading but we decided to still hear him out. When I starters asking questions about the warranty, etc Lee said “I don’t care if you buy this car, it doesn’t aff cr my life at all”. When I told him that wasn’t very good customer service he stood up, put our folder away and opened the door for us to leave. My wife stated crying and we left. The sales manager came out and apologized but it was too late. We will spend our $25k somewhere else. What a joke this was, wasted our time and Reggie (sales) loses his commission because of Lee and his horrible soft skills. Terrible experience. Do not buy a car here.

Our experience at Kia on Regent was quite pleasant, compared to other car shopping we have done. Colin did not make us feel pressured and worked to fit the budget we gave him to work with. He was friendly and knowledgeable. I am supposed to be getting a Kia sedona, agreed to make a deposit for the van, but we ended up not taking the deal since the price quoted was not agreeable. So when the time that I went back there to get my money back, I waited for 2 hours just to get my refund, 2 freaking hours! Connor, seems to be ignoring me even though I ask the guys from the front desk to call for him for like 5 times. They don't seem to care anymore since I'm not going with the deal anymore. Customer service is horrible! It only took me less than 3 minutes to process my refund. I will not go back to this place again! Just an advice, please be careful when dealing with these people. Would not recommend and buy from here.

Bought my Kia Rondo here. A very pleasant experience, with a great salesman who didn't pressure me, but noted what I needed. I traded in my old car, and the salesman actually drove me home in his own vehicle, as my new car wasn't yet ready. The only process I didn't really like was actually purchasing it - there was a lot of upsells I was pressured to buy that inflated the price (ie a rust magnet and permanent wax sealant), though after 2 years these additions seem to work, as there's no rust and I've never had to wax the car.

Got a decent deal on purchasing my car but the shop guys are shysters. Tried charging me exorbitant prices on one occasion to change my cabin air filter. I asked why it was so expensive and they said because they have to pull my dash apart to get to it. I bought the filter for way less at Canadian Tire or something and did the "labor" for free, myself. Literally all you have to to is open the glove compartment and open a small plastic door and then it slides out. Slide the new one in, close the small plastic door, and close the glove compartment. That's it! A different time, they wanted to change a headlight bulb "that was out." They wanted to charge way more then everywhere else plus a whole bunch for labor. Again, I asked why it was so expensive. They claimed that the bulb was very difficult to change on this particular model. That was a load of garbage, it's the same simple fix. Also, the bulb wasn't even burned out! They just unplugged the wire going to the headlight. A friend of mine noticed that, plugged it back in, and it's been working ever since. What a bunch of jokers!

Ready to buy a car. Brought in our trade in. They asked how much is left on our current vehicle so I told them. They added $3000 to that number for some reason. Then said they needed a piece of paper showing the buyout. They didnt need a piece of paper to inflate it! Then they offered too little on the trade in. I went on Auto Trader and got a cash price to sell it to a dealer for $4000 more. When I told the sales rep about the other offer, he told me to take that one. Not let me see what I can do....take that one. So I will and buy the SX Seltos from somewhere else. Apparently they dont need the sales there.

Service is terrible here. Book apt for warranty work at 845 AM. MY VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN IN UNTIL AFTER 2 PM. So why did I bother showing up early? I wanted the problem fixed but by the time they finally “assessed” it, it was already 4:30 PM and they tell me I have 30 mins before they close to cross over to the opposite end of the city and pick up my vehicle, which will not be fixed, because they need to order parts which will take maximum of 6 days. Well guess what? It has been 2 weeks and nobody has called me. Good job ????

Came to this dealer as I wanted to buy a KIA. Thought the new model was a nice design. Pointed out concerns as I was shown last years model. When told them i would most likely not be buying today it was stated multiple times "this deal is for today only and will not be honored Tuesday if you come back then." I was also double booked and the sale team kept going back and forth between two of us. She stated she would be getting the manager to see what numbers he could get me "for today only." After 10-15 minutes waiting for this number I left and told her to call me later. It's been almost 5 hours and still no call to apologize or numbers. Disappointed with this. Although the numbers appear to be higher than I wanted to pay, the service once they believed they would not make a sale, was poor. I really do like KIA new design and would have liked to hear there best offer and see if i could make it work for our family. UPDATE: Attempt to call management to talk about experience was ignored and did not contact me back after 2 messages were left.

Over the past 8 years and 3 vehicles, Rio, Optima and now a 2016 Kia Cadenza Premium all bought new, I have serviced all my vehicles here at Birchwood Kia on Regent these past 8 years. I, personally, have found their service to be excellent. From the service advisors to the mechanics, they all have gone out of their way to make my experience as pleasant as they can. The service advisors, Bryan, Jason and Martin, have all gone that extra mile. The mechanics, to name a few, like Alejandro, Art, Tom and others have gone out of their way when it comes to servicing my vehicles over these past 8 years. They take the time to explain what and why my vehicle might need things done to it ASAP or what will be coming up so I might save up for it. Like anywhere else, you show respect to get respect and they have my highest respect. They have, in my humble opinion, always had my concerns as a main priority and will always do their best to work for the benefit of the customer. If there is one thing I've learned at my age,65, is that proper maintenance of your vehicle or anything else will help it to last a lot longer than ignoring it. The one thing I really like about this dealership, it's small and it's like going to Cheers where, after time, they know your name. They will always make you feel at home. Friend of mine who bought a vehicle from here had her battery die on her for no reason yesterday. Technician told her it was her fault for not driving it enough.... outright lie! .... are they actually trying to sell this as a legitimate reason?? Clearly the technician in question is trying their best to not honor her warranty. Sketchy service and I would not consider buying a vehicle from this place so long as this greasy service technician continues to be employed there. Would not post anything had they simply replaced her battery.... that's called standing behind your product and proper customer service, something their technician apparently knows nothing about. Not knocking the brand, but I am trying to expose this terrible service. Birchwood Kia, please do something about this.

So shady, nickle and Dime you for every red cent they can .. don't get me started on the "Cabin filter Scam", why does an air filter need to be changed very six months at $45 a pop ? an Air filter that did not even exist in any of my previous vehicles .. oh and the FOB keys.. another $45 every couple of years to have the battery's replaced .. if they were just regular keys this cost would not even be an issue, if you get your car serviced here (because you are forced too by warranty terms) please go over every charge before paying, these people are shysters to the 4th degree..

Kia Birchwood Regent has a terrible customer service and not sincere in there dealings. Bought a car there and the very same day car started having issues. They wouldn’t be bothered with our concern and are charging us to get it fixed fixed even after paying for complete 3 year warranty. The salesman who sold the vehicle to us suddenly wasn’t supportive and acted like we are bothering him. We had no peace of mind and regret going there. We are suffering inconveniences because of all this. Wish we had just gone to Kijiji to make purchase.

What can I say? Probably the shadiest car dealership I've ever had been to in person. My fiance purchased her overpriced vehicle here and it's been nothing but disappointment after disappointment after disappointment with these people. Recently, they tried scamming her into paying $62.00 for a cabin air filter change. $62.00?!?? What they didn't want us to know was that the door panel for the cabin air filter was broken. We have never needed to get in there to inspect the panel, so who else would have broken it? All the plastic clips were broken so the panel cover doesn't even stay on. They refuse to accept the responsibility of the broken panel. Needless to say, the trust has been broken so many times in dealing with this place. It's disgusting how they bully their customers around to make a dollar. The warranty isn't even worth the amount of stress and headaches dealing with this sleezy dealership. STAY AWAY STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Go to Waverly Kia instead!! Below is a photo of what we found inside the compartment. As you can see, the plastic tabs are broken that hold the cabin air filter cover in place and it is just laying there in the compartment.

I waited for my first service to log a review after 6 months or so. So far the dealership hasn't been able to answer basic questions about the suv I purchased from them. I understand it's not a Kia but given it was purchased through them and I was told they were there to assist with any questions, I was led to believe that I could get assistance with the vehicle if needed. So far that has not been the case. My salesperson has left so there's no help there. I purchased the warranty through them but when I was in for a recent oil change and inquired about a noise under the hood they directed me to go elsewhere for warranty service. That's not exactly customer service to me. I bought the car and warranty at that location, it's not unreasonable to expect that it would be serviced there as they said it would be during the purchase process. Overall the purchase experience was good but the level of actual service after the fact has been poor. They say all the right things, are friendly and polite but they haven't actually helped me with any of my issues or concerns.

I give Kia Regent a MINUS on their service. Had my vehicle booked for maintenance 2 on Oct.22 & for my vehicle to be AT the dealership at 7:45 a.m. I was there on time & Service Consultant informed me that it would take 2-3 hours for the service. I called numerous times during the day for updates. My vehicle was ready 7 HOURS LATER! I drove in from out of town. I had to find somewhere to go & wait. The excuses I got was that they were “behind” from the day before. WHY would they call me the day before to confirm my appointment if they were so far behind? Will NEVER go back again. Never have experienced this incompetence before with owning my vehicle for 8 years.

We had gone to this dealership to look into purchasing a used Sedona. I've heard that this dealership sells based off of market value and is no haggle. We liked this as buying a car can be stressful on the family. The vehicle we looked at had more KMs and was in not as good shape as two other of the same make and model with the same options. I never buy on the first day and agreed to come back on their "special event with a special guest", who was there to get customers great savings. We comeback the next day and speak to Bailey again. She's nice enough and did her best to help us. Where things go horribly wrong is when they tell us that this vehicle is priced $2000-2500 over what the others are of the same model. I ask why and get the answer that they don't know but it's probably because they bought it for more. They then tell us that the vehicle is at cost already and can't match the other ones. But I thought they sold at market value and this was no haggle so they would always offer the best price for customers. They gave me a price finally and it was still $2000 out from the competition. I was told that the other vehicles probably had damage or was in an accident. I was there in person and saw the Carfax report, these vehicles are clean. Our experience unfortunately was horrible as we thought that they would match the price. This is all we wanted and would have bought the vehicle. If you're interested in a used vehicle, don't go here. They inflate prices and won't match competitors. I also found out yesterday that a friend bought a new vehicle here two weeks ago and was treated badly after the sale was done. Look elsewhere

Terrible customer service, this is my second vehicle with KIA. I have been a customer for the past 16 years, even got family to purchase cars from them. Service at this dealership has become extremely bad. Took my car in for service today, dropped it off last nite. I had to call six hours after they open for the day to check on my car. I was told my car would be ready in another hours or so. Two hours later I left 2 messages for service advisor to call me back about my car. He never bothered to returned my calls. Left a message for service supervisor as well, no call back. A family member had the same thing happened to her, we had to show up at the dearlership to find the car sitting in the parking lot, ready for pick up. They don't call customers for any updates anymore, or to inform customers the vehicle is ready. It is 1 hour till they close for the day and I'm still waiting for my vehicle. Will not be returning to this dealership for service. In the future I will be taking my bussiness someplace else were customers are treated with more respect. Will not recommend anyone to come to this dealership again.

I wouldn't go back to this dealership - we purchased a brand new vehicle from them, when we brought it home we noticed there were scuff marks inside the trunk - took it back in, they did replace the part but while we were there we overheard one of the sales staff members make an extremely rude and unprofessional comment towards us. Still find it strange how a brand new car could have damage on the inside, missing licence plate bolts and over 800km's on it. Apparently it has only been "test driven".... go to a different KIA dealership.

He took the extra time to explain things to me until i did understand. The overall experience was a great one as the other sales staff were great to chat with as well. Purchased a used Kia Soul from this dealership. The experience was okay when we initially purchased it, but since then it has gone down the crapper. First, the previous owner traded the vehicle in with a set of winter tires which was a big selling point. Unfortunately, when we went there to install them they told us the winter tires were for the wrong vehicle and that they were all worn out and cracked on the inside of the tires. So, you sold us a set of winter tires that weren't even for the vehicle? So much for doing your due diligence. They were also going to let us drive away with them badly damaged like that. Fortunately, the sales manager at the time was kind enough to remedy the issue. When my fiance went to talk to a manager again about her concerns she had with the vehicle, they treated her like garbage. Some dude with a hipster beard who thinks he's Connor McGregor meets with her and from the get-go is a total dick. Won't listen to her concerns, plays her down and even tells her that they didn't even have to remedy the problem with the winter tires; they just did it to make her happy. Umm...you sold us damaged winter tires without even inspecting them, it should be your responsibility to remedy that issue. Needless to say, the customer service at this dealership hasn't been great at all. The amount of times we've heard "We'll look into that for you and get back to you" is ridiculous; we wait and never get a response back. Still waiting for a referral cheque and that hasn't shown up despite being told by the salesperson and finance manager that they will "look into it." If Chipman reads any of these reviews, I hope that he sees how his staff treats customers and tries to remedy the issue. If not, there will be a formal complaint to Kia of Canada.

I went in to buy a new car. after being there for over 5 hours trying to negotiate AN HONEST deal. Salesman wouldn't tell me how much interest they were charging would only give the payment schedule, until I asked for a calculator to find out they were adding $10000 in interest, same deal with the finance guy Lee, numbers kept changing. I signed papers for a car with 25 kms on odometer when I got in the car it had 1150 kms on it & damage to front bumper. Salesman Carlos said it was nothing just from test drives and back and forth to "storage" I have since found the sales contract to the previous owner of my "new" car. Reported them to BBB and they won't take the car back. Any good reviews on here are done by the Kia employees! I see the 5 star rating done by my sales crook.

Original purchase with them in 2011 was decent, but this review is strictly about auto service. I went there during my lunch break to ask if someone could please help me to get my locking lug nuts of my tires, as I lost my adaptor. Guy tells me that techs are on lunch break (even though I could see them in window), and I would have to book an appointment for later that day. I said I could take security lug nuts off myself if he just lent me the adaptor, it would take me 2 minutes and he could watch me outside service bay. He said no, I'd have to schedule appointment or buy new lug nut set and adaptor for $57!! Nice way to treat a customer.

We test drove 4 vehicles and he answered all our questions and provided us with the history on the vehicles we looked at. We had just started looking for vehicles, and he was not pushy at all when we told him we needed more time to think about it. I would definitely have no problem recommending him or buying from him.

If I could post zero stars I would. Their service department is probably the worst I've ever been to, and that's coming from someone who buys a new car every two years. I've dealt with countless service departments. Love the ridiculous "diagnostic fees" they like to charge you even if the vehicle is still on warranty. Of course they treat you like kings when you're buying a new vehicle from them since they want the sale, but what these companies continually fail to realize is that the service department is a make or break experience for customers to be repeat buyers. Birchwood KIA service department is single handedly responsible for NOT making me a returning client for my next vehicle and my family members vehicles which we change every 2 years. How they are still in business is absolutely mind boggling. Good work Birchwood KIA! You made your competitors more money due to your poor customer service. What sound business practise. I'd advise others to trust me with this. They will treat you well when buying but Just hope you don't need to go there for service, or better yet go to the other Kia dealer for that. I will say however, their coffee machine is the only good thing about the service desk, and I'm surprise they don't charge you a "user fee" for that too .

I bought a 202 kia forte from this dealership last december when i was signing the papers i was conned into buying all this insurance, all i want was extended warranty on car but they had gold silver and bronze packages that had all this extra stuff i didn't want. One of the things was a car rental if car was in shop and pay my deductible if i make a insurance claim. which was ok in my books because i would increase my deductible to 500 with mpi. Now when i made a claim birchwood wants my to pay them $250, if i went with $200 deductible with mpi it would have been waived so i paid extra money for insurance to have my deductible go from $0 to $250 plus i had to go through the headache of using the birchwood collision center which was very slow at my repairs. Use caution if you use any birchwood dealership to buy your car they all do the same practice

The worst dealership in the city! The service receptionist was very rude and can't even make a smile. All i wanted was to get my oil change done, but after everything because my vehicle is on it's certain kilometer they are recommending a maintenance worth a fortune - and when i declined, this service receptionist started making a face and threatening me that i "will" lose my warranty if i don't take the recommended maintenance! my vehicle is 2 yrs old! Stop trying to rip people off! Train your staff the proper way of customer service! reprimand the staff as she was absolutely the worst! Have you ever been to kia west? We were deceived into signing loan papers for a 7 year loan, not the 5 year loan I had specified as a core requirement to buy the Rondo! We were pressured into buying a Kia Rondo just before Christmas on Dec 23, 2014. After a couple test drives, we determined that we liked the Rondo best and were planning on buying it after the holidays but had come in for one last test drive and round of questions. The challenge for people Luke myself is respect for others and not just walking away or hanging up on telemarketers. The way I was brought up trying to teach my two kids (whom were with us) the same human kindness and respect of others. So coupled with an exhausting day and not having my mental acuity with me... "No", I wasn't able to simply just leave. They were determined to have their Christmas bonus at our expense at all costs and despite telling them e we'd be back later 3-6 times the sales guy and then the finance manager kept reiterating the same sales line... "what can we do to make you buy it right now". Finally exhausted I caved and laid out exactly what I needed in order to buy the car right then. Besides some extras to make it equivalent to the Journey we were also considering, the main thing was of course price and the payments we could afford and length of car loan. I stipulated that the payments had to be under $200 every two weeks and a maximum of a 5year loan so that we wouldn't have car payments and have repairs st the same time. The slimey finance person came out once or twice trying to change this basic demand, but I had reiterated these two key conditions. I finally reached the end of my patience and at very least needed to eat (was about 6-7 hours since lunch) so was going to leave when finance person said yes they could meet my requirements. Starving and tired (this was about 60-90 minutes since we'd arrived there) and with two young and agitated children... I signed the loan papers for $195.50 every two weeks (first primary demand) and what I thought was a 5 year term (my second primary demand). Finance guy made a very specific point of telling me my bi-weekly payment amount and that it was under the $200 biweekly amount I had demanded. What no one told me specifically was the term of the loan!!!!!! I had demanded a 5 year term. Sales and Finance slimeballs NEVER told me differently and with an 5 page document in front of me, being mentally exhausted from my work day, being there for over an hour with young kids who just wanted to eat and go home, just wanting to leave myself, I signed it. Just found out this January after calling Scotia Bank on my loan for another matter, that my original loan length was 7 years, not 5! Kia dealership deliberately and knowingly tricked me to get their extra $$ in time for Christmas. Rechecked loan agreement and term in not specified in length of years, just start and end date of payments which their pressure tactics and my mental exhaustion allowed them to trick me on this point!! Spent the last six months thinking on what to do next. No point in contacting dealership as they'll just protect their own. My first step is to warn others. If you want a Kia, try a different dealership that hopefully values the customer above all else, not their bonuses. Now that I have Legal Shield, it's time to investigate my legal recourse and contact better business bureau as well. Be careful buying from here!

I have owned my kia forte 2020 for almost 11 months now. Great car minus the rust… Which I noticed in spring around May. When I contact the dealership they told me “due to the rust being on the outside it is your own fix” Apparently when you buy the no rust warranty it only covers rust from the inside out. Something I would of like to have known, because the sales person their made it sound like if i bought there warranty that covered rust was covered and thats a huge reason why I bought it. Which looking back on it I am not to surprised because this is the same salesman who told me I would get 2 free oil changes and when I asked after time of purchasing the front desk told me I was only able to get one for free. So future buys do note the cars are good, however they can rust in under a year and DO NOT trust what they tell you when they are trying to make a sale!!! Reggie Merluza was the salesmen who promised 2 oil changes and then I only received one. Which is extremely dispointing.

My daughter brought her car in for battery issues. It wasn't until we got to the appointment that she found out her extended warranty won't cover a new battery should she need one. They couldn't even tell her when she booked the appointment. They wanted to charge $40 to test the battery and then another $90 to test the starter and alternator. Walked away and went to MB Battery, who tested the battery, alternator and starter at no cost. Also did a drain test on the battery as my daughter had a command start installed recently.

Every time I come here for an appt nobody acknowledges you when you walk in even though there are employees everywhere. Then you stand waiting by the service desk, again no acknowledgment or eye contact. Even if a customer is being dealt with it seems the other employees that are around completly ignore you. There’s more than one computer so can’t someone else help me? I was in for a quick service, when I booked my appt they said 30-40 mins. When I got there they told me it would be more like an hour since the customers before took longer than they thought. I get things can go over the scheduled time but then next time they’re running behind I would like a phone call so I can choose to come in half an hour later instead of waiting around for nothing. And there’s no shuttle on Saturdays so I can’t even do something productive. But there won’t be a next time because I’m not coming back here ever again due to the terrible customer service and that I have to wait around double the time they originally told me.

Went to inquire about a roof rack option. The service department paged the "parts guy" as they have no parts counter. Albeit friendly, my wife and I didn't appreciate waiting for 15 minutes for him to show up. He took our information, disappeared for another 5 minutes, came back with a horribly inflated price and said, "I think we have one here, but it would probably take me about half an hour to find it".

It was so bad I don't feel right even given this place 1 star. My service appointment turned into me taking my car as they couldn't get me a shuttle to work (as planned) after waiting over an hour! Even though my check engine light is on and has been for over a week I and no choice but to take my car and leave - after they took 10 min to even find my keys. This isn't the first bad experience with this place. I am currently strongly considering trading in my 18 month old Kia so I never have to deal with this place again

Terrible service experience, when I initially picked up our vehicle we noticed the center console had scuff marks which we pointed out to our salesman. He conferred with the service department and they agreed to replace the part but it had to be ordered and would take about a month to get it. After waiting 2 months I went to the dealership to check with our salesman on the status of the part. After checking with service he informed me that the part would be in a week and the service department would call me. I waited another month and went through the same process and was told the same thing about it being a week or so and that service would call me when it was available. Called a month after that to the salesman who said he would check and get back to me right away, I still haven't heard from him. I waited another month then phoned the service department where I talked to the assistant manager who informed me that she would check into it and get back to me, she called back an hour later to inform me that she was talking to the sales manager who would call me back "right away ". After 2 days I still haven't heard from either of them. It has been 5 months since we picked up the car and i still have no idea what is happening about the part. We like the car but I will never use their service department or recommend Birchwood to anyone. Addendum to my first post After getting the reply from Birchwood I called the number listed, after being told I would be talking to the sales manager I got an answering machine with the message that he would call as soon as possible. 3 hours later and I still haven't heard from them. Really good service follow up.

I bought a car here, and bought remote start. Well, they couldn't put in before I picked it up the next day. That's fine. I bring it back next week, give me a courtesy car, I pick it up next day, done. I mentioned my vents were making a grinding noise, they said it wasn't a big deal, fine. Fast forward 5 days. Remote start totally breaks, spend a night troubleshooting, nothing works. I bring it in after work, oh it's a big problem, they need a whole day to look at it. I'm a bit annoyed but that's okay. At 550,ten minutes before they close, just as I'm about to leave, they let me know they aren't covering the courtesy car. So I have to go to enterprise, and pay 50 dollars to rent a vehicle for the night. I mention the vent noise which has gotten worse. I pick it up the next day, remote start works, but vent noise still there, and I'm Out 50 bucks. Try calling to talk to a manager about it, he's not in. Try another day, he's busy and will call me back in a few minutes. Nothing. Email him, not reply. Email Birchwood Kia about my problems, no reply. Email Birchwood about my problems. No reply. Great. Avoid this dealership like the plague. If you want a Kia, go to winnipeg Kia. I might have to make a twitter account just to even get noticed by these guys.

I purchased a Kia Forte from them last year. I should have walked out the minute they didn't have the car I had contacted them about in the 1st place which I might add was a Hyundai Elantra. If only hindsight was 20/20. I liked Kia's as well so I test drove one and obviously went home with one. My first complaint is they have you discuss what you want in a car and start negotiations before you even know what car you are purchasing. Then they go back in forth with you on price , what kind of payment and options you want thrown in and have you intital it. Then once you have come up with a magical deal that sounds amazing you never see that paper again. I refused and I mean refused to buy the Birchwood Guarantee as they presented it to me as a Tire & Rim Package which I said is not mandatory if I am buying a car from them and then they turned around and said it comes with all cars. They bring in Connor McGregor to try and convince me to take the package . I still refuse. He then says the only one who can remove it is the Head Manager. He says he will be right back. 2 minutes later he said they will remove it. In the end they said now I am not paying for it but I am still getting the warranty . I take a look at my paperwork and can't see anywhere where the fee has been charged or taken off . There is much more to this story of course and again if Hindsight was 20/20 I would have walked out the minute they didn't have the car I wanted. Thankfully I really like my car but I would never EVER refer them to anyone and encourage people to not buy from them. They care about the bottom line and not about their customers.

Was looking to sell my forte back to this dealer where I bought it, my same car was selling on their lot for 14,000 they only offered me 8100!!! I finally gave in and agreed to sell it to them, the used sales manager changed her mind and only offered me 6,000 and said it would take a week to pay me!!! So I called Winnipeg Kia ( Waverly location) They guaranteed me at least 8000 over the phone, and said 6000 was unethical and was even less than auction price of a stolen forte!!!!!! Waverly kia bought the car on the spot for 8k and gave me a cheque within 1 hour. I would never consider buying another car from kia on regent ever again.

Financial Nightmare I traded in my Kia Soul in September for a Kia Sorrento. I was assured that the financial aspect of the trade would be completed entirely through the dealership. This was NOT the case. Two months of issuing payments for two vehicles, one of which was not in my possession. Once problem number 1 was fixed, four months in someone changed the rate on my vehicle without advising me, which altered the dates in which my payments started coming out of my bank account. After they neglected to take out one of my payments, I reached out with no response and my payment came out a week late. Then my payment after that came out a week late. My contractually agreed payments were changed without my consent. I then received a call to advise that I was behind a payment, to which I then needed to fight for a week. All I received at the end of the week was an "I'm sorry, these things happen." They let me know my payments would go back to normal, well guess what ......... they have missed the payment again. I have requested copies of my contract and have not received these. Buyer beware, Kia will sell you a vehicle and then could care less about you once you are out the door and apparently can alter a contract behind your back! In response to the owner: Sales Manager, Kristian Hybschmach was cc'd in all communication on these matters, I have not had a response from him and I have still not received a copy of my contract from the dealership or finance that was requested.

2 hours of my life wasted!!! Salesperson (Autumn) was very pleasant to deal with. The experience went south after about an hour and finding out that our trade-in hadn't even been looked at!!! A $1000.00 black Friday incentive was removed once they finally realized that financing was not needed???? It was a cash deal, no matter the amount; we told them that repeatedly, from the very beginning. When middle-management (Roy) got involved, it went further south, fast!! The topper was when we kept asking for our keys back so we could leave, and they kept disappearing for 5-10 minutes each time, making us wait.....UNREAL!!!! Those sales tactics were so 20 years ago!!! We went to Vickar Chev and bought a truck that same afternoon.

Went in to buy a used vehicle and claimed to give a huge deal wouldn't budge more than 500 was told they would lose money at list price then smoke and mirror's vehicle was passed over to birch wood ford and was listed for much more. Dont expect to by used vehicles unless your willing to buy at list price

Just went in for an oil change, seems simple enough. 1.5 hours was a bit of a wait, but I wanted it done by a dealer. Told service rep that I wanted reg oil, that I did not want synthetic oil....twice. car gets completed, getting ready to pay, they tell me they put synthetic in my car (???) , after I told them twice not to. He has big smile, no big deal, we won't charge the extra $30 for synthetic, guess What? It is a big deal, I DIDN'T want it. I'm from out of town, if I had more time to waste, i would have demanded they remove the oil and filter and start over again. And they still overcharged me. Very amateurish set up. Will let my local friends know to avoid this place like the plague. I'll definitely let Kia Canada know about they way they are representing their brand. Oh, and they don't even know the warranty specs on the cars they service! Jeez, after reading their responses to other reviews, OMG , it's all cut and paste, they aren't even really reading them. Kia should pull dealership from this joke of a location. UPDATE Re: Response from Owner Thanks, but no thanks. You have my info. You're only responding here to make it look like you care about NEGATIVE feedback, you don't or else you would have contacted me directly. I got wrong product and you overcharged me, FYI, overcharging is theft, so basicly, you stole from me. I want nothing from your poorly run dealership. Bought my car there in mid June this year, the salesman told me that within two weeks I would receive a 200.00 dollars fuel card because I was purchasing a brand new car. It`s been more than 3 months and I`m still waiting for the card that never came. I went to the store about two months ago, talk to the salesperson and he told the problem would be solved within the next days, but nothing was solved. I emailed Kia Canada twice, but no answer up to now. I`m really disappointed with Kia`s customer service, they don`t seem to care about their customers. I feel like I was fooled with empty promises just to buy a new car. Edit 1 - Try to contact the store as requested but nobody seems to know with who I should talk about the problem.

Bought a pre-owned and lost $1500 on insurance I did not really want. The finance manager has great sales talk and misled both me and my husband into signing up for it thinking it would go down with additional payments but when we started to see that the payments were not going how we thought they should go we tried to cancel insurance... of course it was not possible anymore. The car is great and the staff was very helpful, but I guess if you are not savvy they will rip you off and once it's signed it's signed. Beware.

The sales rep Kiefer was terrible with communication. Several times, he wouldn't return calls or emails. I was unclear about when the car would be dropped off because he wouldn't get back to me despite leaving several voicemails. Finally he dropped off the car and he said he would call me in a few days but I never heard from him. He also promised me a year of free oil changes but never put anything in writing so now 6 months later I have emailed him asking him to honour his promise and he won't acknowledge or return my emails. I get better service at the grocery store or when I buy a pair of shoes. I just thought after purchasing a car for roughly $22 000 cash I would be treated better than this.

Will they care or even admit that they did wrong? It's money vs. People. As long as there is profit they do not consider people as the same as themselves. Sure they have great costumer service as long as they get a profit. Can you imagine that they already have the car and the keys for over 2 weeks and they still haven't given the check for buying the car. Let's face it, they want to sell the car before they give the money to the owner. The owner just recently lost her husband and they are making up excuses as to why they can't give her the check! Why did they take the car and keys!?!? In the first place she shouldn't have to sell her husband's car because the insurance KIA sold to them should've covered it but they also lied. Good customer service doesn't mean good people. Stay there as long as they are good but also be wary. When it seems to involve profit for both parties, customer and salesperson, do not take it because they will most likely benefit more from you than you from them. A car is not just an expensive purchase, that's a whole savings of a person and a car is important to get around, it could mean someone's life because of work. That is not a purchase or a kind of service to take lightly. Yet as mentioned because they get commissioned, please, people are mere future annoyances and floating dollar bills. The more they get from you it doesn't matter how annoying or how right you are, they already got paid they do no care about you. Before this, all my family owned a KIA from this place, over 5 cars, now I pray people won't get ruined by them. Defintely not a place to recommend.

I am NEVER going back to Kia. With the purchase of my vehicle I purchased the extended warranty. They promised me everything was covered bumper to bumper. The three times I have taken my car in for service I have had to pay full price as the service 'was not covered". Including the most recent service where I was originally quoted the $50 deductible (fine), and then $400 (ridiculous)....and then when I picked up the vehicle they say $800. I am utterly stunned at how ridiculous this place is.
