Wasn't super impressed when our truck was in for repairs and it took a week, when I picked up: 1/4 tank fuel missing, music blasting and seats all weirdly adjusted as well as a missing life jacket from backseat. I let that all go because I've heard other reviews of trying to deal with this dealership on anything and its difficult.. Then i take our truck in for similar issues in the new town we live in and find out the whole front end is shot and whoever replaced the ball joints on the truck should have told me that everything needed to be done and not let it go in the condition it was in. (Which was you, vernon dodge service) Not impressed as I go pick up the truck today and am paying even more yet again...

I bought my new Jeep from Vernon Dodge Jeep in January, 2021. I had a fender bender on March 11, 2021. It was a minor accident damaging only the front bumper and a few things underneath. It’s now April 30 and I still have no car because JEEP can’t get the parts to the body shop. ???? I guess their business model is to sell rather than maintain. This speaks volumes to me as a consumer.

Vernon Dodge is the most unprofessional group of Individuals I have ever dealt with. I bought my truck 2 months ago now, reported that my signal lights in the mirrors and puddle light aren’t working the next day, according to my inspection that was preformed on the truck it states all lighting is in working order, I guess signals aren’t important for the SAFE operation of a vehicle. Lief Peek the salesmen I dealt with, stated to me and assured me that it would all get fixed. Within a couple weeks I had it booked into a local Dodge dealership (which was cleared and ok with Lief) and the quote for the repairs are $600 for labour and parts. Ever since then Dan Loewen the GM as been rude and unprofessional along with the rest of his staff trying to push it on my warranty which if anyone is aware lighting is not covered. I regret ever making the trip to Vernon to buy a truck from this dealership and suggest others think of doing the same, this is unfair and very unprofessional from a “big name dealer” They lie and mislead you making you feel like they care, only later the real truth comes out, they don’t stand behind anything they sell.

Wouldn't buy here, not recommend it to anyone else. They hide the price and don't keep their word. You'd think their word would be binding but they could care less if they lied to you once you sign. I love my jeep but hated the experience at Vernon dodge. Avoid at all cost. And to be clear, as to how messed up this dealership is, they charged me almost double the price I had agreed to spend on a vehicle. Anyone can answer, does charging someone close to 40000$ for a used 2015 Jeep Patriot sound appropriate. And before anyone says anything I had told the dealership I wouldn't spend more then $25000 on my vehicle and the salesperson shook on that. Then come back after a week of them sorting out the paperwork to find out they had screwed me over with double my price and I was stuck with the vehicle and astronomical financing. Go screw yourself Vernon dodge, I still to this day and trying to pay that off.

I thought my deal went great until I reviewed the numbers afterwards. My trade value was represented including tax savings despite negotiating the real dollar value. My truck seemingly came without the block heater cord, going to have to resolve this with the local dealer My truck came without a hitch receiver, I didn't even notice until I went to move a small trailer. I figured trucks all came equipped to do truck things but I guess not. I called in prior to writing this review and was told the general manager would call me back, but that hasn't happened.

One thing that is my ultimate pet peeve is when a sales person refuses to treat young people with the same respect, and courtesy as he would an older person. Unfortunately this was the experience here. Was looking to trade in my newer vehicle for one they had on the lot. Before I could even see the car the salesman immediately started asking for information to process a pre-approval and take a hit at my credit. I understand the point of a pre-approval, however I was not comfortable giving all my information over before I had even driven the car I was looking at. I would also like to note that the vehicle I would have been trading in was of equal value to the one I was looking at. I was refused a test drive. I am certain that I would have been treated differently if I was a 50 year old man. In fact I know so, as my father purchased his truck from this dealership. Shame on you Vernon Dodge ????

Around the end of August, I took my 2017 Trailhawk in for Service. While waiting, I ambled over to chat with Kam, who I met when we moved here a few years ago. Long story short, I drove home in a brand new 2021 Cherokee (and I am the guy that never makes a quick decision without considering all the pros and cons!!) Kam spent all the time necessary to understand my specific needs and outline what the possibilities were. Before we chatted, I was aspiring to move up to a 'newer' used vehicle. I took my 2017 Durango in for service because I needed an oil change and my air conditioner was leaking to the passenger side of the vehicle. The technician was sure it was fixed, but a few days later I noticed water again on the passenger side. I went in and told them what was happening and they booked me in on the Saturday even though they were already super busy. Kyle called me with the problem and had it fixed within 2 hours. He said that it could have taken 2 weeks to fix it, but he found a solution to make sure I was back on the road again in no time. I am so pleased with his level of service, it is because of Kyle that I will continue to take my vehicle to him for servicing whenever needed. Thank you again Kyle, I'm a very satisfied customer.

I tend to stay away from dealerships but I needed a code read and couldn't do it myself so I took my car in to them. They read the code, told me the likely issue and I proceeded to have them do the repair. Obviously it the price wasn't "cheap", being a dealership repair but I can't say I had any issues with the service. Quick, very friendly, and the job was done pretty well. I was very pleasantly surprised that when I was going to walk home while my car was in the shop, that they offered to give me a lift in a courtesy shuttle which drove me home. For sure a good way to make a nice impression on the customer. Bill was pretty high but if you aren't handy yourself I would recommend going here to have maintenance done on your vehicle.

They told us the cable broke between the steering column and the transmission. We asked they save the piece for a mechanic to look at, because we were suspicious it was the steering column. They threw out the pieces despite our request. We went a head and got them to replace the piece, and we were charged 698.26. We barely got the car home and the steering wheel seized. I called them back and they would not warranty their work. They claimed it was another problem and would cost well over the price of the car to investigate. [EDIT: a year after this fact! A GRADE 12 student FIXED it! He adjusted the pieces that were there and it works fine now! However, my parent's gave the car away thinking it was useless to pour good money into after Vernon DODGE JEEP wouldn't warranty their work! Am I ever ANNOYED!]

They sold me a used car in February 2016. Said it was mechanically sound. They said the car had been cleaned and was ready to go. Go it home and found that it had NOT be cleaned out at all. I had to take it back to the dealer so they could re-clean the interior. My original salesman didn't even help out or come to greet me when I brought it back in. Since this time, I have had to replace all the brakes on the car, including drums and springs on the rear. The front struts and spring need to be done and soon. I feel as if I was left hanging with a car that they knew needed extensive work. Thanks for nothing!

Hidden charges, service advisor didn't provide an accurate information and billing details about the services requested. Just paid more than 350 CAD for 4 spark plugs repalce and labor it's insane!! Be aware of the lack of transparency of the billing, ask for the final amount to be paid before any work. By the way I want to mention that Lief and Jim always provide an outstanding customer service.

Two year ago, June 2016, I was in the market for a new truck. It ended up between a new 2016 Ford F150 and a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500SLT, EcoDiesel. The Ford just was not the truck for me, too hard on fuel and the cockpit did not suit or fit me, too closed in and claustrophobic. Over I went to the Dodge Dealer. Out walked a salesman, Curt Jensen, told him what I was looking for, a Ram EcoDiesel 1500. I also told him flat that he had his work cut out for him as I was not really a Dodge or diesel guy. Curt let me take the 2016 White Dodge, 1500SLT, EcoDiesel home for the night. In summary it was the nicest, quietest, smoothest, most solid truck I had ever owned. It was love at first drive! The next day I became an owner. Curt went out of his way to make the deal right for me! For the first 11/2 years the truck saw all local use, Enderby to Vernon and back. Everytime I drive my truck the love affair grows stronger. Enderby to Vernon and return was only $7 or $8 depending upon how much running around I had to do in Vernon. This compared to about $20 for my old truck, finally a truck I can afford to drive. Just recently my EcoDiesel and I went to Vancouver and back. At highway speed the cabin noise was 76 or 77 decibels, very quiet, super comfortable - it fits me to a “T”. Fuel economy was unbelievable. Vancouver and back on one tank of diesel, 85 litres to be exact, 85 out of the 98 litres capacity. With some running around in both Enderby, proir to leaving, and some running around in Vancouver the truck got 32.1mpg. From Hope to to Vancouver and then the next day Vancouver to Hope, my EcoDisel got 34.9mpg. From Enderby to Kamloops and again the next day from Kamloops to Enderby, my truck got another 34.9mpg. The Coqihalla is not conducive to good fuel economy but still my EcoDiesel returned 32.5mpg. Despite the unbelievable gas mileage, it was the overall comfort of my 2016 Dodge Ram 1500SLT, EcoDiesel that impressed me the most. Would I buy another - ABSOLUTELY! Would I buy another from Vernon Dodge - ABSOLUTELY! Would I buy another from Curt Jensen - ABSOLUTELY and I highly recommend Curt as a salesman that will treat you right! Sincerely, Darrell

Remember the role that Bill Paxton played in True Lies? That is the type of used car salesmen stereotype that Vernon Dodge helped perpetuate in my mind and made no apologies for after my dealings with them. They were sorry that I felt that way so I guess that's something. I was doing a deal from Calgary, as my car suffered engine failure while on vacation. The three tiers of sales at this dealership provided many instances of false and misleading information regarding the car I was interested and their link/affiliation with the Vernon Kia dealership. I ended up buying from the Kia dealership who proved themselves as much more honest, transparent and accountable to their customers. I suggest steering clear of Vernon Dodge, If you're historically wary of the used car salesman stereotype.

Today Sept 4, I was at Vernon Dodge Jeep to meet a friend from Quebec getting her vehicle serviced. Stopping out front of the sales shop I was approached by a sales rep and the chemistry happened. We hit it off quickly and he asked why I was there and I told him my story about my friend being there and also said that I could use an oil change. He said follow me and let’s see what we can do. I am from Ontario travelling across Canada with another friend but she was on another adventure. I had time to spare so this was a great time for service. We entered the service area and had a chat with the team inside and within minutes they said give us the keys and go and get breakfast. The truck will be ready when you get back. Breakfast was good and my friend from Quebec enjoyed our time together. When we returned the truck was ready to go and paper work was done. I had a dollar figure in my mind and it was below that amount so I was again impressed. My friend was also impressed with her service. I tried to buy a van, but after a week of excuses and blame on others about why they couldn't deliver it on time, they got upset with me when I went elsewhere and don't want to return my deposit. I bought my van with full detailed service in two days out of town and they had to bring in the van from elsewhere, too, but had no issues. Be careful about which dealerships are associated together. I have been a flat rate mechanic for 10 years. When my parent's jeep needed work and I didn't have the time to do it myself they took it to Vernon dodge. This was a huge mistake. Before taking the jeep in, I looked up the flat rate time for the repair. The shop I work at would have charged 4.6 hours to repair the problem. Vernon dodge doubled the repair time and just refused to tell me why the time was doubled. When my parents dropped the car off, they were told it would cost a maximum of $1200.00 to completely repair the problem. The next day they phoned my mom and said it was going to cost $1700.00. When I called and asked why the price had gone up so much from this worst case of $1200.00, the service advisor just kept saying the car needs a door kit. He couldn't tell me what a door kit was or why the car needed it. He then told me I should come down and look at the jeep for myself. So we arranged a time for me to come and look. When I showed up the service advisor wasn't there and the other advisor that was there didn't know anything about it. When I left I gave my phone number to the advisor that was there and told him that I wanted to talk with the person who was dealing with my parents jeep. Of course no one phoned me to tell me what was going on. I never thought that getting a car repaired could have been such a hassle. Never take your car there to be repaired. Unless you want to pay double the price for satisfactory work. I understand your anger and frustration that I would write an unflattering review of your dealer. But I think you missed the point of it. The quality of the work done to the jeeps was fine. If it wasn't for the cost I would say that it was good or better than good. I completely understand why the dash came out and how the diagnostic procedure works when it comes blend doors and climate controls. What I don't understand is the cost. When the flat rate manual says 4.6 hours and you charged 8. What other conclusion was I suppose to come to other than you took advantage of them and did something wrong. If you have a better explanation to why the time was so much more than the book I would love to here it. But no one was able or willing to tell me. Although my review may have been harsh it wasn't untrue. All I can do is review the experience you as a dealer provided me. When a shop charges more than they should it does give dealerships and mechanics a bad name. All I can do is let others know of my experience so they don't get caught in the same situation. So for those that have taken the time to read this I would recommend not going to Vernon dodge. P.S. Notice that I didn't have to call out by name and personally attack you. Brad.

New truck and a warranty issue. Vernon Dodge found a case for it, booked me the appt. and fixed the annoying squeak! Never a bad experience with the Service Dept. there! Always a pleasure to deal with the Service Dept. It's nice when you go in and they say a particular item doesn't have to be done this service, it can wait till next one. They don't push when it's not needed. My last time in they wired some lights to a switch for me. They said it would take a couple of hours and it took them 4. They still only billed me for 2. I always leave a happy customer! Truck was in for a major service. They gave me a brand new truck to drive to run a few errands. I think it was a ploy to buy a new truck....it’s working! LOL

He goes above and beyond for my needs, gets me in for the work in a quite timely matter and has been very fair (more than fair) with the invoicing for me. I was there yesterday to get some work done and the customer shuttle was booked solid and I had no ride so I jokingly told him “give me your truck” and well… he did! That impressed the socks off me!!! Kyle makes my experience with servicing enjoyable and he is very professional at his abilities to not only get the work done as quickly as possible but his customer service is over the top! I booked my Durango in for an oil & filter change. When I arrived I saw a banner that offers 30 minute oil changes without an appointment, Mine took an hour and a half! When I got the car back, the steering wheel, gear shifter, door handle, bumper and passenger side door were covered in old oil. There was oil spilled under the hood too. The service advisor cleaned the oil off the inside of the vehicle when I pointed this out. So why have a banner that offers 30 minute no appointment oil change when there is no ability to do that? The service department was certainly not busy that day. Why return the car filthy and obviously not sanitized? Why wont the dealer acknowledge my complaint after two emails? Disappointed and moving on.....

Put a deposit down on a new truck. One day later the deal fell apart, all because of their lack of full disclosure of fees, "mistakenly" charged me pst even though I live in AB and it doesn't apply, failure to price match the same trucks advertised price from Nelson where the truck was just 10 days prior, and failure to send proper paperwork by the previous days end. The list goes on but when I went to walk away they had the audacity to try and keep the deposit, like about me asking for a pro pack on the truck, and the sales rep Lief just repeating the catch phrase "sorry I'm just the sales person", and calling ME unethical in the process bc I walked away from a bad deal. A deal that I never ever signed anywhere along the way either by the way. They charged 350 more the same extended warranty I got in AB, 1100 in admin fees, just lies and dishonesty at every turn. Wouldn't touch this dealership EVER! Still waiting for confirmation the deposit is being refunded, regardless I had my credit card company put it under dispute and it wont be paid to them.

Amazing experience with Vernon Dodge. Had an issue in my Ram where the gas gauge would just go to empty. Low fuel would flash. Called into the dealership made an appt for the next week. That evening after work it did the same thing however this time the check engine light came on as well as a notice that said "fuel sensor failure" drove it to the dealership. After hours so dropped off my keys, called in the morning and was told they would look at it in the morning and get back to me. Just before 1 I got a call, my vehicle was fixed and ready to pick up. All done under warranty, no hastle. From buying 2 new vehicles and the sales staff to recalls and warranties and the service staff, Vernon Dodge has been top notch. Highly recommend!
