Sold me a very expensive vehicle that was garbage in 6 months. They gave me the “best trade in value” which I went to another dealership and got a better price even though they were doing me a “solid”. I guess they kinda tried but not up to the standards of other dealerships around town. Your better off to go visit orchard ford where they are stand up, great business structure, great staff and actually do their best.

I meant to post this review quite a while ago but it completely slipped my mind. We have had substantial interactions with Bannisters service department over the years and have always been pleased with their work and customer service. They always seem honest, do the job they say they will do, do their best to complete it as quickly as they can. They even came to our aid a few years ago when we had sub-par post-accident work done on our Saturn at a different shop, and after being repeatedly brushed off by the other shop, Bannister service eventually discovered the (significant) problem, and went to bat for us to get the repair done properly, which was EXTREMELY appreciated. Where my review falls down is in the sales department. Last fall my wife and I began the process of "kicking tires" on a newer used vehicle for our family. We met with a Bannister salesman to discuss our budget and vehicle needs. It was an introductory visit as we weren't sure what price range we'd need to look at to get what we want. Our first negative experience was while talking to the salesman about our desired budget and when we said our number he asked us "why is your budget so low"? Maybe that's just straight talk, but we were taken aback and thought it was rude. Our answer was "because that's our budget" and he moved on. In the end, we all kind of agreed that we probably needed to come up with another $5000 or so to make it easier to find what we wanted, but the salesman did show us a couple vehicles and did say that he thought even at our budget, there would likely be some possible options come through his system, and that he'd keep in touch over the coming weeks. Great. Fast forward to several months later, without a single call or email from the salesman, and we had since moved on to another local dealer... when out of the blue we get an email from the salesman asking if we're still vehicle shopping, and extolling the virtues of how Bannisters sales team pride themselves in going above and beyond in customer service. In the mean time, we've bought a nice gently used SUV from another local dealer. So... in a nutshell.... Service department? 5 stars. Sales Department? 2 stars.

Fantastic customer service. On a very busy Saturday morning, of a long weekend, the technicians in the service department squeezed me in. Everyone was friendly and trying to help in anyway possible. On one of the hottest days of the year and travelling from Vancouver Island to Manitoba to visit my son in the forces, along with my 11 month old puppy, grandson and my other son. We initially contacted Bannister GMC as we were looking to downsize our vehicle. Me and my wife went around town trying to trade it in but every place we went to would only give us way less than what we still owned on it. I first spoke on the phone to the dealer manager Brian Westall and described our situation. As a one income family of five we needed to get the best deal possible. We went in and Brian met us personally at the door. He then led us to the salesman Dominic Hofmann who sat down with us and a did a thorough needs analysis. In the end we found a vehicle suitable for our budget and lifestyle. To top it all off we were given $2000 more for our trade in than what the other dealerships would give us! We are sincerely grateful to Bannister GMC for all the great help and service they gave us. We felt comfortable through the whole process and would recommend them to anyone looking to buy a vehicle. So I have been going here for service for the past few years and it has been great! Very nice, professional representatives in sales, parts and service. I have had warranty work here and either had a ride, or had a loaner vehicle for a period of time. Sadly haven't purchased a vehicle yet from them, but I may just one day as the service have never made me feel bad or unappericated. So whatever you are looking for it's worth stopping in.

Highly recommended if you prefer to buy from knowledgeable personnel (Cory was very well informed) and a friendly environment (not pushy and ensured we had a good deal). We bought a fully loaded '14 Denali with low km's. Every time I have booked my vehicle for service it takes much longer than I'm told when I make the booking. I recently brought my car in at 11:30 am for a 12 :00 booking for the installation of new tires. I was told it would be about 2hours for tires and a wheel alinement . I didn't get the car until 3:25 and only after complaining and never got the wheel alignment.

The customer service was handled very poorly regarding their shuttle service as well as customer communication prior to servicing my vehicle. Nothing was rectified despite the service manager acknowledging the dealership was wrong in how they handled our appointment. We will not be returning for any sort of maintenance as we don’t feel they have their customer’s best interest at heart. Why is it so hard to be decent, honest, and kind?

I normally use a licensed mechanic that works from home. But because he couldn't find the cause of an obscure clunk I decided to not risk breaking down on the road and took my duramax to Bannister Kelowna. In a nutshell they were awesome. Considering the work that was done the labour was reasonable and I was given reliable parts with warranty. I had the truck back within two days. I'm really pleased considering the expense.

I was satisfied with the knew procedure during my last service. The Sales Manager arranged a service representative to set up a service date. The vehicle was delivered as requested. They were not able to complete the service as planned the same day, the service representative call me early enough to advise me of the delay. The service was preformed the follow morning and a very clear explanation was supplied of what was done. The problem seems to have been corrected and procedure for this service compared to previous services was also very satisfying.

Just purchased a 2018 Acadia All Terrain SLT. Absolutely in love with the vehicle. Needed lots of room for hockey gear, kids and dog! We have received excellent follow up service with this dealer. All of our concerns have been addressed. The sales team does not care about their customers. They are evasive on the full price of the vehicle, and the finance manager would not answer our questions or detail the costs until we bought the car and were gone. Also, I had to wipe the coffee stains out of the cup holder and pick garbage out from under the seats. Never experienced that before.

Just want to say I am extremely happy with Bannister in getting me my second GMC truck in 2 years. I have dealt with Cory Boniface with both trucks. Service Review for Darren (First Class) I was in the area for the holidays, when the I got a brake failure message come up on display screen of my Escalade, Brake pedal was rock hard and was very hard to get the suv to stop, after a quick research found out it may be a recall or TSB on my vehicle. Called into Bannister GM in Vernon first, spoke to Barry, they could've done the job no problem as a GM dealer, but brushed me off and told me they don't handle Cadillac take it to our store in Kelowna or go to Kamloops. So I phoned Bannister Cadillac Kelowna, spoke to Darren in service gave him the vin and he looked into what I was saying and confirmed it. Darren booked me in the following morning for 9 am, I arrived at the store for my appointment, met Darren a young friendly service adviser, that just loves his job and knows how to treat a customer. This is a great example of a great employee and what customer service is all about. Not only did he do his job and do it well, he did it with a smile and sense of humour. I don't write many reviews because most places disappoint with the lack of customer service and it seems to be the new norm. But when I find customer service that is is exceptional, you're going to hear about it. Darren Job well done! Thank you.

Service department is fantastic. Really great team that takes the time to explain everything. Definitely would recommend working with them. They also sell tires at cost tough to beat that. Beautiful showroom lots of awesome whips to check out go down and take a stroll.

We love this dealership! We moved up to the Kelowna from the lower mainland, We were used to having to wait for weeks for appointments and sometimes getting a shockingly large bill. We’ve taken our truck into the dealership twice now for servicing and some warranty work, and it is always a pleasant experience. They offer pick up and drop off from your work, so you’re not inconvenienced to with having to arrange another ride. The bill is always affordable, and they always let us know the estimated cost. They clearly communicate at all times what was done and what needs to be done for the truck. They are so don’t try to oversell you or force you to get new tires etc. if they feel that they will work for other seasons etc. always happy with their service

It was my first time taking my car in and I was a little frustrated that it took over 4 hours for an oil change and a multi vehicle inspection when they said the max would be 2 hours. They also apparently didn’t check the wipers because I discovered the next day that they were busted. I was glad they were apologetic for the wait time but I wish they would have at least called with an update instead of me having to call them.

I brought my 2017 GMC Sierra for a oil change and a Maintenance check and tire rotation. After several hours I was told my truck was ready. So I picked it up and never got a few klm and the TPMS came up that there was a problem with the rear tires th front was fine. So I called and was informed to just bring it back into the service and they would fix it. So I waited and was informed that the batteries were dead and I would need new ones, at a cost of just under a $100.00 each. I find that this would happen just as i had everything working prior to taking it in for minor service. I have a hard time that they were working before I brought it into the service. How odd that they just failed at this time. The front were working fine when my truck was returned none of the TPMS were working. I am having such terrible service from Bannister GMC. This is not the first time I have had bad service. I’m not sure what is going on with the Service department. I can only wish it would get better and not leave me with the failing service. I’m am sure that the Service team hates when I bring in my truck for Service. I paid a lot of money for my truck and always well looked after. So now I will wait for new TPMS for the rear and have to go back and spend another several hours. I just can’t believe what is happening with the Service of my truck.

Wanted the Earliest Appointment s and told them I would wait technicians did not arrive till a half hour later the had to reset my back up cam and Navigation time set in by GM was .9 of an hour they charged a half hour more with works out to $100 that I would rather have in my pocket and the Nav. still does not work , I waited over two hours

Terrible service. Called for parts at 4:44 when all their signs on the doors and online say they are open until 5 or 6. The switch board lady put me on hold where I sat for 5 minutes before getting in my car and driving there. By the time I got there I had been on hold for 25 minutes. And the parts department was closed. The reason I needed to go there is because the parts person had sold me the wrong thermostat. The Duramax takes two different ones and he sold me two of the same. I'll be buying my oem parts online from now on.

I brought my car in to changed my tires from winter to summer and do a regular inspection. This turned out to be stressful and a hassle. 1. Apparently my summer tires where worn out and shouldn't have been replaced which would have made sence had I known when I changed to my winter tires in Oct/ Nov. But noone told me. I would have bought tires and that would have been fine. I'm not an expected on vehicles so that would have been on you to effectively communicate this to me 2. One of my summer tires had a giant nail in it. Again it would have be great to know this again when I changed my tires at the begining of winter but again noone let me know. 3. So when I came to change my tires. I dont know what the staff did but they put 2 summer tires in the front and 2 winter tires in the back and told me about the nail in the tires and the tire situation. So we rescheduled to come back the next day to buy new tires and change them over. In the meanwhile I was told my winter tires are also worn out which is why they had to do 2 front and 2 back. At this point nothing seems to be making any sense. They told me it should be fine to drive over night and tomorrow. 4. The next day. I wake up at 5am to go to the gym, well, yeah you guessed it. My right front tire is completely flat. No air in it. All rim. They put the same tire that had a nail in it back on.So now I'm forced to stay at home and not go to the gym. There's nothing I can do because the dealership opens at 8am. 5. I call te dealership to advise them I have no way of getting there because of my tire and I was advised to call roadside assistance. I was also told that when the tow truck came, they would drive me to the dealership. So I dealt with all that myself. No help from the dealership. When the tow truck came, they told me they can't drive me due to covid. So now I'm stuck at home and have to call the shuttle driver. The driver was an hour away so I waited for an hour to come get picked up. Now instead of going to the work I went to the dealership hoping that I would get the shuttle to work as well but no that didn't happen. Get to the dealership, and I get put on a wait list. Now I have missed already 2 hours of work. Then I'm told they delivered the wrong tires so then my car has to stay in there longer. The gentleman was nice enough to offer to call a cab but then said I would have to pay for the cab ride. At this point im frustrated beyond belief. So once again I had to arrange, on my own a way to get to work. I work with people and I know this is not acceptable. When I came to pick up my car. I was told I drove over a nail heading home. Very coincidental. They also told me that my winter tires are good for another winter season and gave them back to me. This makes me wonder, why they didn't just put all my winters back for one night? This isn't how a simple tire change should go. I am a loyal customer but every year there is always something and now I can't really say I am loyal to you because I'm 100% not please, not satisfied and if anything else happen I'm more than happy to leave and take my business elsewhere. I am not telling anybody about this because I really do not want to ruin your reputation but I will be contacting the head office or social media platforms because since 2018, everything was good when I was buying a 46000 car, which I was told I was going to get preferred pricing on and never got but I didn't say anything. After that, everytime I went in for servicing, there was always something and I had to figure it out on my own. Needless to say I'm not satisfied

The 2016 Escalade we purchased is beautiful to look at. My challenges and reasoning for the 2-Star rating is simply the over-promising and under-delivering on the Sales side of the agreement. It’s been multiple delays in actually getting all the work done on the vehicle that was promised. So much so that we waited 3 weeks after signing the purchase papers before even getting the vehicle - and it still was totally complete. Hoping they make this right. I was a loyal Ford driver for 17 years. This was a risk. One that hasn’t totally paid off .......... yet. Update: The Escalade ESV is a beautiful vehicle inside. The drivetrain and electrical system have caused me nothing but issues since I took possession. The Engine light has been on constantly despite the Service Dept allegedly fixing it. As a result the remote start function is completely disabled. What a joke. I even took out extended warranty but get the run around on deductibles just in case the engine problems are not related. It’s an underhanded way to get the Tech’s time paid for. All I want is a reliable vehicle that runs as it should. Haven’t had that yet.

He didn't buy the car there so I got the feeling you get better treatment when you buy a car from them, which shouldn't matter. Service is service. Car was cleaned and washed when it was ready for pick up. Not a total bad experience, but it almost was.

Then I asked her how long it would be in the Shop. She said 1 1/2 hours . So I went there at the appointment time And my car sat in the parking lot for Over an hour before it went into the Shop, Then I asked when it would be Ready & was told 4 hours . While I was there waiting for a Shuttle ride home to wait for it, I got a Text from them saying that I missed my Service appointment & should Reschedule it. Quite messed up there .

I recently moved to Kelowna from Edmonton and I needed to come to this dealership to get a front licence plate mount for my wife’s Cadillac. Being that it was the first time coming to this dealership, I decided to ask the salesman that was outside for direction to the parts department. He directed me to park by the proper doors and proceeded to walk me right to the parts counter. This wasn’t his job to do. The actions of this particular salesman literally made my day - The only downfall is that I wish I had written this review earlier for the simple fact that I would have remembered his name for this review! 2019 Silverado 1500. I had a warranty issue with the transmission. It is a known issue of hard shifting (feels like someone rear-ended you, yes that bad). The service technician was good to deal with but I'm comparing the service with Mazda. There is no comparison, Mazda is superior. I had my truck at GM for a week while I was away so they could take their time. The truck came back more dirty than when I dropped it off (I guess because they were troubleshooting?). Whenever our car is serviced at Mazda they wash and vacuum. An update to the ECU was carried out and I am to monitor. I had a 91 Chevy pickup and had nothing but issues with the transmission. which eventually failed at 110,000 km's (10,000 after warranty and GM would not cover it) and cost me $4000. I wish I had not bought a GM product. I have a feeling I will be trying to get this fixed until the warranty expires. Note:I was a mechanic for 25 years.

I bought a 2018 truck and the charging pad was broken. I realized as I was driving away and they said book it in for service. I was like what! I drove from the mainland to buy my truck from them .the sales rep knew I was driving 4 hours to get it fixed. they knew I was pre approved and coming to buy. Then they tried to hit me up for more fees. And on my way home I realized they didn't even bother to put in windshield washer fluid for me???? the coquihalla was covered in snow and ice and the roads were so dirty and covered the windshield. 2021 elevation has a serious knocking noise in the back when going over speed bumps or pot holes. Been in the shop several time and they can’t figure out the issue. I have also gone up to random people on the street that Ive seen driving the new elevation and all have the same issue. GM seems to have no idea whats going on. Definitely not worth the 65k

Dealing with service is like going to the dentist. You know you have to go but it is painful everytime. I'm not sure why they like to argue with their customers. I booked in weeks ago and talked with the service manager about the repairs and he stated yes everything would be covered. I drop it off and have to fight with the service advisor about coverage and then the manager comes out and says the same as the advisor. Didnt we just talk a couple weeks ago about these repairs. (It was mostly covered if they just would of looked into the items before arguing with a customer). No calls or update just the 330pm call saying car is ready and the main repair it was in for is parts on order ( pictures of issue supplied weeks before, personally I would of just ordered parts and returned what was not needed). Now 7-10 business days and another 40min trip to the shop is required. I also only have 22000km on factory tires that are no good. They wont do anything for you except tell you you need to buy new ones. What tire last 20000km I am not sure. I feel dread every time I have to deal with the sevice department. Enough that I will have to contact gm directly. I am at the point where I wish I didnt own a gm product.⁸ Response: Once again typical printed response and no ownership on fault. I did agree for the repairs to be verified as the oil leak was in that area (pictures provided before repair, possible rear main seal). Warranty on brakes. There was a bulletin we both seen it. Admitting of poor service is just one step forward to great service.

I had the worst car servicing experience here!! I have been dealing with the team here since the past 2 years and never ran into any issues until this past week. Took my car in to get the window fixed - which they had worked on earlier. Their team took no ownership of the fact that they had worked on my car windows and left some gaps in the process. Carmen, the service advisor, was rude and not understanding at all. They tried to push another product on me without fixing the actual problem. This is the LAST place I would recommend for car maintenance needs.

Although I was not happy that my new car was in for repair, the service team was great. They kept me informed and fod the best they could to get the job done as soon as possible. When they knew it would be more than 24 hrs they provided me with a loaner car. When I went to pick up my car the service team knew I had a meeting to get to and when I hot there they had all the paperwork ready and I was out of there in less than a minute. We demoed three different vehicles and decided the Buick Envision best met our needs. The colour of the units on the lot were not to our likening. Cory did an internet search and found one at a distant dealership, however when considering the cost to have the unit delivered to Bannister and one back to the other dealership, this was not a viable option. Between Cory and Paul, they came up with a suitable solution and we purchased a vehicle that was in the showroom which was the appropriate colour and options. The sales personnel obviously work very well together as we had originally arranged to deal with Brian Neary. Brian had actually arranged the three demos for us. He had to back away due to other commitments but turned us over to Cory. During our discussions, my wife had made the comment that she was not a fan of leather seats. Three days after taking delivery of our Envision, I received a call from Cory inquiring how we liked the vehicle and if I could stop by the dealership at my convenience. A few days later, I did stop by and met Cory, who handed me a box containing a set of seat covers. This was a great gesture on the part of Cory. This was not a Bannister gift but personal from Cory. We found Cory to be very professional and down to earth and I would highly recommend him if anyone is looking to purchase a vehicle from Bannister.

This dealer uses bait and switch tactics to get you on the lot. I was told by Rudy a specific vehicle would be so much a month by phone after going back and forth on my budget. There was no miscommunication. We decided to drive the 3 hours round trip to see it. I missed Rudy for the day but he had let Jordan know about me. Jordan didn't show me this vehicle stating it would be $50biweekly more a month. $110! Or I could put down an additional $9000. I was shown another truck but it was not what I had driven 3 hours with a toddler to see. Be careful with these guys. I will take down or change the review if they can explain their games or make them right. If its here, buyer beware.

I purchased a vehicle from this dealership in December 2018 along with the extended warranty. There was a issue with the driver seat that was discussed. Both the Sales Manager and Sales person promised that they would have taken care of when I brought the vehicle in for my next service as they would need the car for a couple of days. I recently took my vehicle in for my first oil change and spoke with the advisor. The advisor called me the next day to let me know that the General Manager said they wouldn't honour the repair as a result of us not dropping off a set of tires from my trade in. I let the advisor know that my wife did in fact drop off the tires and backed up the vehicle to the storage garage where one of the service techs unloaded the tires and wheels. After not hearing back from anyone for 3 days, I went back to the dealership to pick up my vehicle. Sure enough, not only was the repair not fixed but the vehicle was not washed (standard practice) and the advisor couldn't find the key for my vehicle. In my experience, customer serve is key in any business. In just over 4 months, I purchased a vehicle (paid cash), brought it in for a service only to be completely disappointed by the lack of professionalism and follow through of an agreement that was made as a part of the purchase. I would definitely NOT recommend this dealership for any purchase or service needs. They make promises that they are not prepared to follow through on. I will personally make the drive to another city for my GMC service needs.

Took vehicle in for an oil change and some other filter changes. Half way home I noticed the check engine light was on and the fan wasn’t cycling, just staying on constantly. I had to return to the dealer, after being unable to use the car for the weekend, and wait for a couple of hours for the tech to diagnose and repair the problem. Which turned out to be a mass air sensor disconnect while reassembling, apparently. So the technician had left my vehicle parked outside in unusable condition and I was sent on my way. Not an optimal experience Not only that but I noticed a new scuff on the drivers door that I didn’t remember. Apparently the service advisor takes pictures upon check in, it would be interesting to take a look at those

I would highly recommend looking elsewhere when looking to buy a new vehicle. The sales manager was extremely pushy to commit to a truck when I was originally inquiring. When I found a truck I liked, I confirmed it was available with my sales guy and made a deal on the truck. I Placed a deposit for the truck as soon as we confirmed the deal. I really appreciated how far he went to make the experience enjoyable, and felt no pressure at any time in the process. I was looking for a very specific used truck, and Travis was awesome for answering all my questions and providing me with the details I requested. Overall, the work that I needed completed was a job mainly only done by a dealership... (active grille shutter replacement). So didn’t really have any other choice but to get the work done here. During that appointment, I had them complete an out of province inspection as I had just moved from alberta, as well as an oil change. After the inspection had failed due to front brakes needing replacement... which they had quoted me between 1000-1100 for pads and rotors, I declined, paid my bill and went on my way. I had told them I had received a significantly lower prices for the brake job (660 bucks) at which point the service manager said he could match that price. I refused to give them my business after they’re willing to charge so much more then necessary. Weeks later I received a call saying they didn’t charge me the right amount and I owe them 140 dollars more. Absolutely not. I am not about to pay more money for a mistake they made. Terrible customer service at the service department. Definitely shop around for services as they are more then a little overpriced compared to competitors.

I was told it needed an oil change and I wanted to change winter tires to summer tires. When I arrived I was told it had not had a system coolant flush in years and it needed one. I got a call later that the spark plugs had not been changed in years and that needed to be done. I was also told it needed a power steering service that had not been done in years. What started out as a relatively minor cost turned into a a $700 bill!! Why were the items that hadn’t been done in years not brought to my attention years ago. To add insult to injury I arrived to pick up my car and the snow tires were still in the car. I had to wait around for half an hour while they put the summer tires on.

The worst experience . Bought a new GMC truck two months ago. The shaking and stuttering are unbelievable . The heated mirror cracked from shutting the door . There is a loose bolt in the door . After spending over 50 grand and warranty on a GMC truck we brought it in to these people . The guy we dealt with -Jim, was not only rude but condescending, absolutely zero people skills and no customer service skills what's so ever . Informed us that after making an appointment 2 months ago were going to have to wait while the foreman finishes lunch .. When we asked him for a service car he told us we don't qualify for us . And when I asked to talk to his boss he laughed and said " Have a day"!... Whatever that means.I have never been treated with such disrespect as a customer . This man represents your business and that's embarrassing . Then we spoke to the lady manager and she was very pleasant and probably the only good thing about that place . Today they phoned us and told us that our 2 month old , 50 thousand dollar truck isn't getting anything done unless we want to pay for things ... Good thing we got that warranty!!! We are contacting GMC and the local media cuz a person should not be treated the way we were ... Find a different place people if you want to be treated like a value customer ...

I took my 2002 GMC Sierra 2500hd into Bannister GMC Kelowna last fall 2018 for service to repair an oil leak and a coolant leak, which were very minor but did not want them to get worse and drip on my driveway. After they worked on it, replacing multiple seals in the front-end and transmission, etc, the truck leaked more than it ever did in anytime in the past. Also, it had a clunking noise which I took to them 2 more time which they could not solve and they did not seem too concerned even though I was extremely concerned that it would get worse, which it did. I went on the road and had to take it to another GMC dealer to help identify the problem for additional cost. They found the leaks and tightened bolts, that were missed, to fix the clunking issue. When I returned I told them that I did not want to spend any more money on this to fix what they already worked on. I was told that for the money I had already spent, that they would "Make It Right", Thinking that they would be standup guys and not charge me after all the issues that I had. They did however fix a crack in the transfer case which was not done initially, why it wasn't done to begin with is a mystery. I dropped off the truck yet again and on my return i did not have a bill thinking they were being stand up guys. I was very happy. Come to find out that the work was not done and had to take it back again. This time the work was done and charged me another $1100 to fix the crack in the transfer case. WOW!!!!! After all this they actually charged me. Not to mention I was in the process of buying a brand new truck from them. So, for my review.... Very nice people, not a bad word to say about anyone person, but the workmanship of the shop is, in my opinion, lacking. I thought this shop would not be typical, Charge a lot for below average workmanship. I was wrong. I spent an exorbitant amount of money and have zero confidence in them. Anything out of warranty, you are taking your chances.

When we arrived at an agreed difference between my trade and the new vehicle, everything was included. There was no surprises after the fact. Beware of this dealership, they do not disclose leased vehicles, found out later they sold me a lease from Alberta. Checked paper work, lease was not checked off. They will check off everything is ok on thier used vehicles inspection without even looking at them. Then try to charge you for parts that claimed to be good according to the check list a few weeks later. Service manager lied to us telling us, ohh it must have slipped past since these vehicles take 45min to check the air filter.... 45min? It takes 5min but he claims to have the best diesel mechanics in town. This is just the beginning of the nightmare i had with these guys.

I believe every car dealership tries there best to do good in all situations however I’ve heard on more occasions then one that with bannister cadillac that is not always the case. With my case The sales guy I worked with Nick seemed to still be in training due to the lack of experience he actually displayed. Negotiating wise he was great to work with and he felt like a busy through the actual buying experience, however his actual office skills were terrible. He made the smallest of jobs seem like obstacles and we agreed on a car price and then screwed me on fees. The dealership screwed me out of around 1300 dollars above the 100 percent agreed price and he acted like he had no knowledge of said hidden fees. Well wouldn’t a sales guy that’s written an A loan, a B loan and a C Loan have known all potential outcomes ? I told the dealership treat me good and I will be back to purchase an suv for my mother. Well that time has come. I have sold my second vehicle and will be purchasing my mother a retirement gift vehicle and it’s not going to be through these monkeys. I would personally stay away from bannister cadillac. You can’t agree on a price with a client and then do a deal and act like you had no knowledge of additional charges. You knew damn right what was going to happen, and even the potential disrespectful client I may have been, have I gotten a phone call from him to try and patch things up ? It’s a two way street and there’s nothing stopping me from making a call because that’s what positive people do although I actually went out and got him a big bottle of liquor because I felt bad and purchased a stuffed animal for his kid. Been 10 months and still no call. Be a good sales guy and pick up the phone. He’s got nothing to lose. I will be purchasing my mother’s new vehicle from a different dealership. Not to sure if it’s going to be a cadillac yet or not. I still have to reach out to cadillac corporate to explain how I was treated and see if they care. GREAT VEHICLE, (was not a cadillac) for the price so that deserves the stars I have given.

If I could give zero stars I would. The service and accountability at this dealership is completely absent. When you buy a brand new vehicle you expect it to function as promised, and if there are issues from factory, that you'll at least be treated well and the issues will be fixed ASAP. That is not the way at Bannister! It took over a year to get my issue resolved, multiple appointments, multiple drop ins to prove the issue (since they couldn't duplicate it), multiple instances of being treated so poorly I was brought to tears. From the incompetent/unprofessional shuttle drivers, to the managers who promise one thing and then put it onto their minions to renege. Once my warranty is over I will never deal with them again, and will tell anyone who asks to avoid them at all costs. I'm sure my review means nothing to them, as I am just one person, and they have proved over and over again how very little their customers matter once they have your money in their pockets.

We ask gmc kelowna to fix our truck 2017 sierra that we just purchased from dealership ( dodge kelowna) 1 week ago hoping that gmc will do better job and they charge us for certain amount and we put it back cos they didn't actually fix the prob cos the car lights went back so for the second time they phone us telling that the cost will be 1200 so my husband told them to stop and don't do anything cos were putting back to dodge instead and when we go and get the car back they charge 200 something for whatever reason they have,so in total we paid less than 500 for nothing. I had a parts list built up from a dealership in alberta but for ease and wanting to support local, I contacted the parts department and was answered by Kelly the "parts manager" I simply asked if they could be competitive with the out of province dealership and gave the list of parts list (which totaled up to over 11,000) and after a few exchanges through email, he didnt even take the time to get back to me with a price or answer. Honestly really disappointed, as I dont ask for much just that someone does their job, so its unfortunate to say they but lost that opportunity and most likely any future business of mine.

After 60,000 km on my Cadillac XTS Platinum the converter detatched itself completely from the engine. Even tho ive paid for the Bumper to Bumper warranty AND even tho there was only 60,000km instead of the 120,000 km (which is when you change a converter) these CriminalS tried telling me i needed a brand new converter AND complete exhaust system ALL OF WHICH WAS TO COME OUT OF MY POCKET. Now, while rubbing such a disgusting option in my face they had the audacity to pretend they were doing me a favour by offering 10% off of a $1200.00 bill ( even tho my car only had 60,000km and was under warranty ). After losing my mind on such a heinous option the "manager" then refused to service my car due to the fear of my review which was going up either way. Keep in mind i battled with Bannister and GM for a MONTH trying to solve this. So i then took my car to Jerry's Muffler and they had my car fixed within 2 hours and charged me so little i forget what the bill was. Something like $100.00 for a quick weld. all i know is i was so relieved to find someone honest i handed him $200.00 and told him to buy the shop a couple cases of beer... long story short, if you love your Cadillac and dont want to be completely ripped off. STAY AWAY FROM BANNISTER KELOWNA!!!!!!!!!! I'D GIVE ZERO STARS IF IT WAS POSSIBLE

I have always loved going to huber bannister in Kelowna. My first experience with them was when i went and got my chevy cruze almost 4yrs ago. This wasnt my first car but it would be my first time going into a dealership without my mom or family member with me. I loved that experience that i had there because they were open, honest and transparent and answered every question i had. I was recently there again just this past week. I went in looking for more info on a couple cars i had been looking at on there website under used vehicles. Again i had the same experience with them i had had my first time there. This time i walked away with a bit of an upgrade and exactly what i was looking for. They were very accomodating and again answered every question i had and were open and honest with me and very transparent. My car salesman whom i dealt with his name was justin and he listened to every thing i had to say and the best part was that he was not pushy and he made me feel like i could make my own decision about whether i even wanted to upgrade to a newer vehicle. Id definitely reccomand this dealership to anyone and i know i will be back again for future purchases as there is no other dealership that has treated me the same as they have at huber bannister in kelowna!

Extremely disappointed! When their "Service" department says they'll call you, don't hold your breath. I've been told 3 times now that they'll call me and they never have. I had to call for updates on my vehicle while they were working on it because the time they promised me an update came and went. They ordered the wrong part for my car... twice. Then told me they'd call when they got the right part in. That was weeks ago. Save yourself the headache! Take your car somewhere else for repair!

Bought my first certified preowned car 7 months ago. It has been nothing problems, from oil leaks, blown transmissions, failed ignition coils, seized brake calipers, bent rims all 4 of them and much more. All of this was found within the first few weeks of owning the car. Car was in accident which I was not informed about, paint peeled of the back bumper which blew off as I washed the car at a car wash. It just flaked completely off. After they disclosed the car was hit on the front! However the back has been repainted not that well. How many cover ups are happening here. Now new problems have developed, I bought Gm Canada extented warranty which I was lied to about in the finance department on deductible cost. I was rushed and in a high pressure situation to sign papers as they where open an hour late. They even applied to a credit card through GM that I did not authorize. Just recently brought the car in for mechanical issues to use my extended warranty. I was once again inconvenienced and turned away saying “the car still works” "well our mechanics don’t know how to fix this car” and the “turbo acts up when you floor it, not normal driving conditions” They didn't even call my extended warranty company to confirm if we can or will do the fixes and then still charged me. How do you charge for a diagnostic and not give one. By far the worst customer service and client care have ever experiencied. I would recommend everyone stay away from any used car on there lot. They do not do diligent job of Pre delivery inspection or a safety before putting it on the lot.

I thought I would wait a month or two so I could give a fair rating for Bannister in Kelowna. My rating is still one star. In 2017 we purchased a 2017 Cadillac XT5 base model as was our first luxury vehicle we have owned and was a great little vehicle. Our sales guy back then was Kyle and he was able to negotiate us a great deal and was a pleasure dealing with him. He has since moved on to better things and good for him. Since we enjoyed our XT5 so much we thought we would upgrade to a Cadillac Escalade Premium Luxury in 2018 and this is where all in the universe went wrong. We worked with two sales people (I will withhold the names). Sales person # 1 was, for lack of better words, an @%#. He proceeded to tell us our 1 year old XT5 with 9500 kms on it was sub par vehicle as was a base model and was worth next to nothing for a trade in on the Escalade …. we asked for another sales person. Sales person # 2 was much better, over a month he worked with us to negotiate a price and trade in value however the sales managers in the back corner were less than helpful. At one point in the negotiations we were told the Escalade was out of our budget ….. ouch! Long story short, we left the sales centre, started up the computer and found ourselves a Cadillac Escalade Premium Luxury in the exact color and build we wanted at CMT in Calgary. In two days we left Kelowna to pick up our new Escalade at almost $30,000.00 less than Bannister’s best price. So far the team in Service has been very helpful, fingers crossed.

My wife mentioned that there was a grinding noise coming from the front drivers side wheel well. We contacted Alex at Bannisters and he suggested we should not drive the vehicle and to call Roadside Assistance. Del Oro Towing came right away and they towed Carole’s car to the dealership. The service department quickly determined that rocks and debris from recent sanding, had gotten into the brake rotors. They removed and cleaned the rotors then called us to say the vehicle was ready to be picked up. Since we purchased the extended warranty, David in the service department confirmed there would be no charge for the service. I spent over 100k to buy a brand new 2015 Denali hd from bannister. Before I had even seen the vehicle I purchased, they installed a lift, tires and rims. I know that when you do that, warranty can be void. The only reason I purchased this vehicle from bannister was because the finance department, Kelly trotman to be exact. Told me that as long as I purchased and had all aftermarket accessories installed at bannister they would honour the warranty as if it was a stock vehicle. I also wanted to purchase extended warranty, which she gave me the exact same response. That bannister would make sure the warranty was honoured as long as all the work was done there. The extended warranty she sold me was from secure drive, their elite coverage plan. This plan alone cost me over $4,100 and was to cover everything on the vehicle, bumper to bumper. So when I brought my truck in to get some front end parts replaced, I was told warranty denied the claim because of the aftermarket parts bannister installed. The same parts that I was told would not effect warranty as long as I bought and had them installed at bannister. The service manager said he would try to help me out with the bill if secure drive would not. The manager did help me out. $400 on a $2900 bill. This isn't my real issue, i appreciate the $400. My issue is when the finance department lies to my face in order to make a sale. I say that because I had specifically told Kelly that warranty is what I want and if they could not do what she told me, I would go elsewhere to purchase a vehicle. This goes to show you the lies and deceit a bannister employee gave in order to complete a sale. Of course Kelly no longer works there so I couldn't go back and bring this up with her. Maybe it's because of instances like this is why she no longer works there, I don't know and this shouldn't be my problem. Maybe the problem is that the finance department and service department do not communicate is instances like this and maybe the General manager should make sure the different departments do communicate so that customers and potential customers are not lied to. Again, how should this be my problem, but apparently it is. Never trust anything the finance department says unless it is on paper and signed off on. I thought I could trust the bannister employee not to lie to me, but was I wrong. I will never spend another dollar at bannister because of this.

My spouse and I were shopping for a vehicle and found a truck at Bannister that we loved. The sales associate helping us, Alvin, was wonderful, he was very patient and knowledgeable and while we were with him everything was great. Once we were passed off to the financing department however, the entire experience was ruined. We were placed with Frank, who was quite arrogant from the start, but as soon as we made the decision to decline extended warranty he became extremely rude and condescending, implying that we weren't knowledgeable enough to make our own decision. We were so appalled at his belittling demeanor that we stood up and left the dealership immediately. He made no effort to even shake our hands, and once we started walking out he went to another employee and began visibly mocking us. After sharing our experience with others we heard from quite a few people that they had similar rude encounters with Frank. Although our initial interaction with Alvin was great, because of the horrible service received later we will not be shopping at Bannister again.

We took our vehicle in for it's maintenance. We had an issue with the back window not opening which was kind of surprising as our vehicle is only a 2020 with 12,500 kms. They had to order parts so we had to bring it back. Everything was done. However, having a Lincoln before this vehicle we are use to getting a wash inside and out. This was not done on our first trip. So we asked for a wash inside and out on the second trip. The outside was cleaned but the inside was not. Disappointing.

Recently had my GMC in for a service and the team again provided great service. Picked it up at noon and they had give it a wash, so that was a nice touch. Quick and reliable! Recently had the GM active fuel management engine lifter problem :-(. Fortunately repairs were within the warranty period. Dan, the service advisor, was awesome to work with. He kept me informed on what the issue could be, the process as the tech got into the engine and the timing of the repair. He Communicated! Dan answered my questions truthfully and didn't try to up sell or hide anything. He was able to ensure my vehicle was repaired ASAP and even looked into a loaner if it might be necessary. Dan gives real customer service which is hard to find these days. Ask for Dan as he puts the customer first! You won't be disappointed.

Terrible customer service. I was honestly interested in purchasing a vehicle but the way I was treated I had to walk away. I realize I had come in during the late hours (they had many days to prepare), and was very motivated to put a deposit down in order to discuss further when we had more time. I was then told that this was not an option, that the price was locked once I put money down- which I was not told over the phone. My sales associate could not answer basic questions regarding inspection reports, and wanted a deposit locking in a price without seeing this report as well as going into details about the vehicle itself. This was after finding something faulty with the vehicle. Had no paperwork on the table other than a bill of sale. He was condescending, said I was "thorough" when I was asking basic questions about a used vehicle. Instead of answering questions I had asked, he repeated himself. He went on to do sleazy salesman talk "lots of interest", "I don't need this sale, I have enough money." The ethics of pushing a sale without knowing any of the specifics, and being adverse to customers gaining basic information about a large financial obligation is very questionable. The fact that the final thing he said to me was "I know now that you're not the kind to be pressured." is proof enough of an issue. He then found my review and sent me a text at 11 o'clock at night- which furthered my disbelief.

I booked my appointment two days in advance for the standard 25k service and a small electrical problem with my 2017 Escalade. Dave Lopez greeted me on my arrival and expedited my service professionaly. I chose to wait the two hours in Bannisters comfortable waiting area. Dave kept me updated on the progress of the service and had me on my way shortly thereafter. I was told if I wanted to be shuttled somewhere Bob would transport me and pick me up later. The technician was thorough in the inspection process and discovered a couple of items that required attention. One related to vehicle stability so it had safety implications. I originally contacted Bannister because of an Internet used vehicle ad. Rudy was very attentive in responding to my query and got me as much info on the particular vehicle before passing my inquiry along to Alex, a very knowledgeable salesperson. He answered all my questions via email, phone, emailed me paperwork regarding the vehicle's service history and full list of options, as well as sending me a video of the vehicle. By the time we traveled to the dealership (6 hour drive) I felt comfortable with its condition. The whole experience, initially via long distance, was very well done. And, the 'bonus' after the sale was a nice gesture. The only thing that could be improved on would be a courtesy followup contact from the salesperson after the sale.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. DO NOT purchase a Cadillac from them. Service department acknowledged issues with the vehicle, acknowledged that it made the vehicle unsafe to drive, tried to fix the problem 3 times, when they realized it couldn't be fixed they changed their tune and said it was actually "normal".. if it was normal, why would they try to fix it so many times? After a month of back and fourth with their useless warranty department, I just got rid of the car... There are some great dealerships in town, this isn't one of them.

We had an appointment for 8:30am and were there about 5 minutes early. So we pulled into the farthest bay to make room for any cars that may come in after us, assuming that is what you do. We waited close to 20 minutes, and watched the car that pulled in behind us, a few minutes after us, get taken care of first, before any attendant even came to us. It would have been nice to have been acknowledged or better yet, first one in on time, get looked at first. The 2 service recalls was taken care of in about an hour... Friendly enough employees, but maybe a slight flaw in that system.

First of all its Lee Ann Brachman I was in with my ATS which I love however, do have issues with the service. I made an appointment for 9 am for an oil change said I would come back around 1pm to pick it up, but I did phone at that time and they said it was just going in for service give them about an hour, so I did that went in at 2 pm and they were not finished yet, reason being we are so swamped which I hear every time I go in. Do you think you should hire more staff?????

I have had very good experiences with Bannister with respect to their service department. We have been taking our General Motors vehicles to them since we moved to West Kelowna in 2010. My latest servicing involved a question on the condition of the automatic transmission fluid in my Sierra. The technician checked it and determined it was okay to continue in service. I appreciate them doing this as you often hear stories of more work being done than really necessary. I have never had this happen to me at Bannister. I will continue to use their service department. They really do work towards making me completely satisfied.

The experience I had was terrific. I went in a little apprehensive since I have bought a few trucks from other dealerships and it didn't go over very well. From the moment I met the salesperson I felt comfortable. I k new what I wanted and helped find it. When it came down to crunching of numbers and the salesman ager came in I was quite shocked. They gave me top dollar for my trade in and the final price was excellent. I didn't even counter offer. There I was shaking hands with him and smiling.
