I was told on April 2nd that i had one free oil change left of the four that you get when buying a new truck. On Oct.28th i went for an oil change and was charged for it. I told them it was supposed to be free. I was told that the time had lapsed on April 12th for the free oil change. I guess the person that told me i had one free one left, maybe, just maybe should have told me that i only had ten days to use it up. It will not happen again because i won't ever take my truck there for service again.

Went in to get my winter tires installed (already in rims) it took over an hour. And when the mechanic brought my car around he wasn't wearing a mask while driving my car. He got out and walked away without sanitizing my car. I brought it up to the service advisor he went out to clean my car and I was told I would be called from the service manager. No call as of yet. It is unacceptable that a person was in my car without a mask during a pandemic.

This was my seasonal tire change, some brake service and an oil change. The latter was free because of their loyalty program. All went well. Completed in good time and everything tended to completely. I was impressed with the care taken to host customers during the pandemic - such as well spaced chairs in an enlarged waiting area; cleaning of my vehicle interior and even disinfecting the keys. Good job Boyer staff!

I took my 2019 Chevy Spark into Boyers because it felt like my transmission was slipping. My car has a CVT transmission and since it works differently than conventional transmission, they took the time to explain the differences and gave me some technical information to read. This was all very helpful in understanding my new vehicle. They did not charge me anything for their help.

The car I was sold always has issues, and constantly taking back for service. Went the other week to get a water leak fixed, the engine light was still on in my car after they were finished and when I arrived home all the sensors came up on my dash. Should not take 3 trips to get the problem fixed when they have a computer that diagnoses what’s wrong with the car. Safe to say will never be taking it back there for service or buying another vehicle from there again.

Our company called and made the appointment with the understanding that they'd be able to accommodate the size of vehicle that we were sending in to have serviced. When I got there (I had to drive 50 minutes to get there), I was sent to the waiting room. About a half an hour later, the service rep came back and told me that they couldn't service my work vehicle because it was too big. I don't think that they're a terrible dealership, but I'm hesitant to deal with them in my personal life given my dealings with them at work. On the plus side, their waiting lounge is stocked with tea and coffee as well as pastries!

I visited Boyer Lindsay after having a very bad experience with another GM dealership. I can honestly say i was considering possibly buying my first non GM vechicle after my last experience. Carrie Hallet and her manager (I'm sorry I have forgotten his name) definitely changed my mind. They both took the time to help me as much as they could and even went above and beyond by actually apologizing for my experience at the other dealership( which they did not have to do at all ) It is clear to me this whole dealership has a great attitude towards their customers. Smiles, Handshakes and Managers making the time for customers really makes a big difference. I hope upper management at GM sees this review, they deserve the recognition. Our 2009 Chev Impala LTZ had a starting problem . So we took the car to Gers Garage ( 1km south of Fowlers Corners ) to get serviced . He told us it was running to rich and a GM dealer could re- program the computer . So I went to Boyer in Lindsay . Boyers reprogrammed the computer and now it runs excellent . I would like to thank Gers Garage of Fowlers Corners and Boyers Chev of Lindsay for their excellent work . Thanks Again Peter Kubovic.

My vehicle was recently towed here on a flatbed for repair as my parking brake seized and I could not move it at all without destroying the rear brakes. Parts needed to come from the U.S. which I was told would take 3 to 5 days. My vehicle was there for 2 weeks and I was the one who had to call in for updates as the service advisor who promised to keep me informed, never did. When the repair was finally finished and I was called to pick up my vehicle, it had not even been washed. The repair cost around $1000 and they couldn’t even run it through a car wash? Every dealership I’ve dealt with in the past has washed my vehicle after a service visit. It’s a small gesture but it means a lot. Makes you feel like they care. Customer service and especially communication could really be improved upon at this dealership.

Given the current COVID-19 situation, my overall experience was weird, but satisfactory. In normal circumstances, I would have liked more time with the sales person to get answers to more of my questions. But social-distancing, mask-wearing and all the associated protocols, really impacted the 'normal' process of buy a new vehicle. The bottom line... It was a good customer experience, the sales staff did a good job and I'm pleased with the vehicle. After a few horrible experiences with dealerships, my experience with Boyers exceeded the expectations I had anticipated. I've been taking my wife's car to Boyers for nearly 5 years, so I know that their service operation does a good job. Thanks, Boyers, for keeping us in the GM family.

Sales department is great, originally bought our Equinox off Ryan Reeson, and he was a delight to work with. The vehicle came with 4 free oil changes, and I went in for my 3rd one recently. I called in advance to make sure I would have a spot to sit in the waiting room with my 3 month old baby, as we are from out of town and can’t use the shuttle service. Missing my old service guy Danny Kent who would go above and beyond to get me the best deal on service. Now, everything has to be done by the book to get maximum profit from customers. Told the service guy I had a airbag light on my dash, he commented that it's usually a wire harness problem. Go to get my car and $130 later, he tells me it's a wire harness problem. WTF! Then tells me my summer tires that were just put on were pretty bald and fishing for me to get new tires. My tires are definitely not bald at all. That my friend is how you lose my business. Couldn't even fix an exhaust leak for me, instead quoted me for a complete exhaust. Don't think I'll be going back. I heard my service guy Danny Kent is over at the Kia dealership across the highway, will be taking my Chevy to a Kia dealer for my service I guess.

I have a 2013 Terrain with 74000 km and had not been driven since March 2020. My parents had passed away and we needed a safety to transfer ownership. Both myself and my brother have our own personal licensed mechanics that could have done the safety. We chose Boyer because we felt that my Father had all the service completed at the dealership and help out the local economy as both myself and brother live in the GTA. Upon dropping off the vehicle the service person advised they would call when it was ready. Within 45 min they had called and advised me the car only had 50% contact on the front rotators and it would require 700 dollar break job on the front and it would include servicing the rear. I declined and stated that I would have my personal mechanic do the work .I would bring it back to Boyer to confirm the work was completed to get the Safety Certificate. When we brought the vehicle in the garage first issues was the lock nut was put on with a high impact gun required a breaker bar and 6ft pipe to loosen the bolt. Oddly when the rim was removed the rust had still sealed it to the hub. The mechanic then checked to brake assembly to find all the components were still new and even asked if the front brakes were the issue not the back brakes. Based on this he distrusted Boyers inspection and proceeded to do his own. The following day I had contacted the service manager at Lindsay Boyer and advised him of what had occurred. According to their shop policy if there is less than 50% contact with the rotators they’re required to do a complete brake job regardless if the parts are brand new. Let’s be clear there was full contact between the brake pad and rotors. I did request to be reimbursed but it was declined because the service manager wants to re-inspect the brakes. Truthfully I do not have time waste on this incident; so I have deemed the 130 dollars as a parting gift to Lindsay Boyer. This has been a reassurance to myself to never trust a Dealership Service Dept. especially Boyer. Lastly, in my personal opinion this is a highly unethical shop and they will take advantage of the customer.

OMG changed brakes all around and magically the emergency brake was seized not caught. Wrecked new pads and rear rotors. Change front wheel bearing lasted 1 week. Said smell antifreeze in cab of car they said radiator so changed still smell but was assured when changing rad that it was not heater core. Car not achieving temp threshold so far go into limp mode they say temp sensor that I change need programmed. Still no good so I Google that #$%@ and it say temp thermostat. Change at Canadian tire along with the oil sensor that I seen using obd2 was to high voltage. Finally power steering pump make evil noise so i get it changed and 1 week later have to add fluid so i do 1 week again have to add more so look under car and spot leak in return lin right away. I call tell them they want me to pay 350 for hose and 2 hour install even though the mechanic whoops should not say that technician missed the leak in test after finished job or caused leak when chang line. Either way Canadian tire did it for 215 total for part and 1 hour install fill test. However I did buy tires from them and they tightened the lug nuts but then that is likely students doing tires. WILL NOT BE RETURNING ANYTIME SOON. I went to these guys cause everyone said how good they were.

Don’t usually do reviews but I am very unimpressed with the service at Boyer. Took my car to Boyer to check on a recall that I had received in the mail. Gave them the information and my contact info. I Was looking to get the recall taken care of as well as some other issues my car was having. When I dropped my car off they contacted the old owner and said they didn’t even know about a recall and would need proof of what they needed to fix. Very surprised to hear a Chevrolet dealership cannot lookup a recall for a car they sold. Also couldn’t believe they didn’t contact me when I booked the appointment and left a detailed message in the car as well with my contact info. After all the hassle and issues I wasn’t even 5 minutes down the road and my engine light was back on. Very displeased with the service.

To be honest I have mixed feelings. I bought a brand new Colorado ZR2 "a truck I have been researching for about 3 1/2 years" two days after I bought the truck I noticed the drive shaft had a sizeable dent in it and was repaired in a timely manner. I asked four different departments about the tubular rocker panel protectors "rock sliders" that are a functional part of the off road package and no one got back to me. Customer service called to ask how the driveshaft repair went. I said I was quite pleased then asked about the rock sliders, 15 minutes later the parts department called me " with a bit of bite in his tone". He told me he knew nothing about said rock sliders and that they were probably an extra cost option. I had to argue with him, just a bit. He apologized when he finally found the information about them. I received a phone call the next day to tell me I could pick them up. They put me behind the wheel of my dream truck, for that I am grateful. My brand new truck was damaged and missing parts but all has been made right in under three weeks

My first oil change was supposed to include a wash . It was listed on the work order but the truck not washed. I asked the service advisor to check my running boards pealing paint. I had to remind him when I picked the truck up and he took pictures then He had to show it to someone else?? I have not heard back I told him the defroster was not clearing the windshield on humid days and would fog over when driving. He told me his truck did the same thing. This should be a safety concern. Transport Canada should be notified if GM cannot correct this issue
