He was knowledgeable, attentive to our needs and budget, and was very patient with us and all of our questions. We at no point felt pressured, which was a major factor in why we purchased the vehicle we did. Post-purchase, we were introduced to the receptionist who would be calling us about appointment reminders, as well as the service team. It was a nice touch, and allowed us to put faces to names (always a good thing!). We highly recommend Kamloops Hyundai!

Called the service dept a week ago on Friday to ask for a basic quote for labour and parts got the labour time & rate immediately ok great thks!! ???? was told l’d get a call back with the parts price NEVER happened ???? l also requested they please let me know the status of a reimbursement chek for towing after an engine replacement 2 months ago for my partners vehicle when they got back to me, which they never did so l called back again the following Monday & left 2 messages with reception for a call back STILL nothing. I finally got fed up & called Kelowna Hyundai got all the info l needed and an appointment booked in 15 minutes for my repair which is going there and still no info on the rest of my enquiry until today when l called yet again and asked to speak to accts payable directly the gals were lovely and let me know the cheque was mailed ok great thks!!! buttttttt hello takes 2 min to call a customer back or do a follow up as promised terrible customer service Kamloops Hyundai!!!

More questions were asked and answered. We chose a vehicle, they gave me a good price for my trade. The manager was involved and very helpful. Kaleena the financial service manager was awesome. Had the financing approved in less than 10 minutes. From walking in to return the SUV I test drove to driving away in our new shiny SUV the process took about 1.5 hrs. Everyone was fantastic. TERRIBLE SERVICE DEPT + FOLLOW UP SKILLS. Do not seek services here unless you're under warranty and even then, I'd be paying for a quality service dept at this point... I can tell they comfortably sit and take a paycheck without really caring about the quality of work they provide... Corporation indeed. Go to a mom/pop shop that will actually look after you with a genuine caring nature. My partner bought a brand new vehicle from them in 2014. There was few problems from the start, but I could tell something wasn't sounding quite right after a while. Turns out I was right (although id continuously hear objections due to it "being a new vehicle) the engine was recalled this year; after seizing on the side of the road and completely dying, they replaced it. But something was still really wrong, the gears on the auto transmission were faulty and "punching" themselves very roughly into 2nd/3rd. They said they transmission needed replacing, and found us a used one with low kms. We agreed to have it replaced before further issues ensued. Within days I was noticing the same issues with the "new" transmission. Beyond frustrated at this point (and a couple grand down the drain, at this point), my partner took it into the Hyundai shop AGAIN (despite my objections), they then labelled the issue as a faulty/busted coupler. They "fixed" the issue, and sent us on our way again after another few hundred dollars. Well WITHIN A WEEK the same issues were happening!! Tried calling them multiple times... Continuously said the shop was busy and someone would return my calls. I asked to speak to a manager, and was told I would be called as soon as they were available. I called an obscene number of times, AT LEAST SEVEN TIMES. IN THE LEAST. It's now been two months, and we have never received a call. Not once. Major slip through the cracks. Despicable service. We took the car to a small reputable mom/pop shop in Kamloops, and not only did they find a whole slew of issues that Kamloops Hyundai completely missed (or completely ignored), they went above and beyond to actually help us find and fix the issues that were so blatantly left to slip through the cracks. Leaving us beyond appauled with Kamloops Hyundai. Hyundai's doesn't deserve your hard earned $$$$$... Do your research. GO TO SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY CARES, like Active Auto. Save yourself.

While I was there I was introduced to Daniel in Sales. He listened to why i was there and discovered we were thinking about buying another vehicle. I would like to commend the Kamloops Hyundai Service department - particularly Megan Punton - for their upstanding customer service!! We were on a family vacation driving from Calgary to Vancouver Island and our vehicle broke down just outside of Kamloops, We had to have it towed to their dealership to be fixed. Megan was incredible! She was fast, communicative and friendly. I felt like we were in good hands from the moment I spoke to her on the phone (frantic and on the verge of tears, might I add). Not only did she (and the whole service department) make a terrible experience better, they ensured our vehicle was fixed within our time frame and with a smile on their faces. Hyundai has some of the nicest looking modern cars today with the best warranty. Which is one of the reasons why I purchased a 2021 Kona EV. Admittedly, I had some early troubles with the car itself, through no fault of Kamloops Hyundai. First, let me say that the manager, Jake, is a great and helpful guy. But I had a bad experience with service recently. Took my leased car in for an oil change and asked if it would be about an hour. Was told yes. Got back an hour later and asked if it was almost ready. Was told yes again, then learned that it hadn't even gone in yet. At that point I was so angry at being lied to twice, and with no apology, that I went home. Also, I saw the person working in service drive my car into the garage without a mask on. Her name was Kacia. I was supposed to get an opportunity to rate my experience with the service appointment but it never came. Just be honest with customers, please.

I cannot adequately express my gratitude to Kamloops Hyundai for the care we received from their company. We have a 2013 Santa Fe Sport that on two occasions lost all power when accelerating to pass another vehicle. The results of this power loss could have been fatal. We took our car to Langley Hyundai after both breakdowns and were told there was nothing wrong with the car. We had a third power failure near Kamloops and had the car towed to Kamloops Hyundai. After reviewing our vehicle service records we were informed there was a recall on the motor that should have been taken care of during our first visit to Langley Hyundai. We were told we would be getting a new motor free of charge. Kacia, the service advisor then arranged for a rental car at Hyundai ‘s expense as we were traveling north to see our grandchildren. She then offered to pay the $300.00 towing bill we received. Kacia told us to go and enjoy our holiday with our grandkids and she would take care of everything for us. And she did just that! Thank you so much Kacia for everything you did for us! It is heartwarming to know there are still people and the companies they work for that are honest and truly care for and about their customers. Bad experience. I purchased brand new Hyundai Elantra in 2018. After 2 years the rear drum breaks are all rusted. I put a complaint around 4 months ago but didn't hear anything. The 5 year warranty includes corrosion as well and I hope someone would help me. The new breaks are too expensive.

Dear customers of Hyundai Canada Hyundai I would like to share my experience with dealing Hyundai. It all started with my car starting to run rough a few months back. I wasn't sure what was wrong with it. It turned out that Hyundai had a recall for a software problem that was causing misfires in all my cylinders. I made an appointment and brought my car in to be fixed. When I got my car back it was running worse and I had to park it. I brought my car back to be fixed and Hyundai Canada denied that their recall could be caused by their recall. They were denying any wrongdoing and my car sat at the dealership for weeks while they made a decision. They left me vehicle less did not offer a courtesy car and I lost the ability to do my job costing me thousands of dollars. The damage to my car included destroying my catalytic converter, my turbo and my cylinders. Hyundai Canada denied that misfires caused by their faulty software could cause this kind of damage. They were lying and doing whatever they could to not stand behind their product and offer zero customer service. I pulled my car out of Hyundai because what they were going to charge me to fix damage caused by them was highway robbery. I also paid $120 for them to misdiagnose the problem with my car It turned out that because of unburnt fuel getting in my exhaust system, down my cylinders and in my oil pan that indeed this recall destroyed my engine, my turbo and my catalytic converter. I have had 3 mechanics look at this and all have told me that Hyundai's faulty software caused this damage. I also have found various other customers online who have had the exact same issues with their car. So Hyundai knew that the damage was caused by them and still denied it and refused to fix it and stand by their product. I have spent thousands of dollars out of my own pocket to fix my car damaged by their faulty software. My next car was going to be a brand new Hyundai Veloster N an upgrade. I will NEVER buy Hyundai again, Hyundai offers poor customer service does NOT stand behind their product. I reccomend if you are thinking of buying Hyundai. Think twice and go with someone else. I found the financing person I was dealing with was very friendly and great service! I bought my vehicle almost two months ago and I have called 3 times about when the trailer hitch would be installed and trying to reach the person that sold the SUV. Never got a call back - was told originally it would be 2 weeks to get the part in and then installed shortly after. Called for the 3rd time and I am just on hold still and no one can tell me anything. I am a little disappointed since reception told me I would get a call back from the salesman and now it has been 2 months. I am still on hold and it has been about 3 minutes of waiting to talk to someone (which is fine) but it is the lack of customer service a f t e r the sale that is getting only 3 stars. I would love it if companies were more transparent. If the part isn't going to come in for a while, just let me know and call me. I just bought the vehicle, my information should be there and you should know what is going on. I wish I could remember the sales person's name, but unfortunately his customer service was forgettable. *update* just got off the phone with Silm in parts - very friendly professional customer service. He said he would call me back to update me. He gets 5 stars :D

Kamloops Hyundai is notorious for pulling the whole bait and switch tactic. They constantly promise one thing then deliver something else and when you point out that that wasn't what you agreed to, they pretend like they have no clue what you are talking about. Most recently I had new winter tires included as part of a promotion in the spring. However, when I went to mount them I discovered they were the wrong size (too big). Although, Hyundai did replace them, they did so with poorer quality tires. When I bought my car, I was told I was getting tires that that were on par with the winter tires I already had when they were new, turns out that was a lie. Not happy at all.

We had an disappointing experience. We were offered warranty on the SUV yesterday and we mistakenly agreed to it. After returning home and doing more of our own research we immediately cancelled the warranty on the used vehicle we bought. When the staff thought we were getting the expensive warranty, their level of service was great. They said when we bring our car back for detailing that they will also fill up the gas. The next day we came back and re- signed without the warranty and the level of service noticeably declined. When I asked for more clarification about the spare key that I thought should be included (whether or not they purchase one for us or retrieve through previous owner), the response of the staff member implied that it was an inconvenience for them to discuss it. The car was not filled up when we left after detailing as promised. It was a disappointing experience when it should have been exciting.

Our company vehicle, a 2016 Hyundai Tucson, has been consistently burning oil. So much so that I need to top it between oil changes, which occur every 5000 km, otherwise it runs out of oil. I have been informed that this is within "industry spec". The vehicle now gets less than 12.0L/100 km fuel economy on a commute where it would previously use 8.0L/100 km. This has been happening over a period of months, yet Kamloops Hyundai has informed me that this is due to cold winter temperatures, and it should be tested in the spring. On what planet does a 50% reduction in fuel economy and burning through 4.6L of oil between oil changes qualify as "industry spec" or "normal". If I could give negative stars to Kamloops Hyundai and Hyundai in general then I would.

Made an appointment with them for a warranty check, I live at least three hours and made the appointment a month in advance. A fuel filter change is appart of this warranty check and it was not done because "they haven't seen this car before and they didn't have the right filter on hand".

Stay clear - Service, what service? Could not make a deal to buy the Vehicle - went to Vernon - saved $3500. Service - very slow - over a month to get warranty work. I would not buy a Hyundai again. I'm not sure who is worse, Hyundai Canada or Kamloops Hyundai - absolute joke with customer service. If you are going to buy a Hyundai, go to Vernon - heads above these yahoos.

Third deal's a charm apparently... 1) We agreed to a fair price plus full tank of gas.. 2) Hyundai calls back and says we have to throw in a set of tires or the deal is off... 3) Show up for the car today and are told, "you only get a half tank because it's a used car"... Pretty shady for a major dealership like this if you ask me. I would expect it from a small time used car lot but not Hyundai. I think this stemmed from the manager Jake as we were repeatedly told by our salesman that the deal would be off if we didn't hand over the extra set of tires (after he spoke to Jake) and that, "Jake doesn't even want to sell the car to you." Do not recommend. Hi, it has been almost a month and have not heard back from you yet..

I would have still purchased a hyundai until I had to deal with your service department. Will never buy another hyundai because of you! Very disappointed! I would never treat my customers like that.

What fantastic service. On a road trip from Grande Prairie to Comox Valley, mini van kicks a check engine light. We called Kamloops Hyundai to see if they can check it out for us. I am thrilled with my pre used 2019 Elantra :). The sales man Rinder and manager Jake the finance manager and Kaleena helped me all that they could when I had decided to trade my 2012 Kia Rio hatchback in Christmas eve. i received a 500.00 credit for winter tires and the service department put the tires on. Today Kyle in the service department sprayed protective spray on the fabric inside, under car protective and paint protective. Hyundai staff are awesome to deal with, and Im really happy I bought one of their 2019 Elantra. I look forward to having all work needed done by the service staff. Alex was very helpful when I dropped my car off to be worked on. Hats off to all Hyundai staff...
