Bought a used Ridgeline from a private owner who was waiting for his 2022 Ridgeline to arrive at Kamloops Honda. Since I was driving from Salmon Arm, I called Mark K in parts to order & install the Ridgeline roof rack ahead of time. Seller picked up his new Truck & left mine there where Mark got me set up with roof racks. And they got me set up with the insurance lady to register my truck so I could drive it home. Best service ever, especially since I didn't buy truck from them. Outstanding!!

Got my front brakes and rotors and brake fluid change done here and ended up paying $722!!! I phoned for a estimate before booking for an appointment and the lady said its going to be $400 brake and rotor then $118 for the fluid change....Thats a $200 difference..I complained when its time to pay and the guy said, oh that $400 was just for parts. Wow! I asked for the Total cost when I phoned. Who gives an estimate for parts only anyways??

A truely refreshing vehicle shopping experience. We made it clear we were just in the preliminary stages of our vehicle search and just wanted to check out base models and get an idea of what financing was available. Our salesman, Brock, was excellent. He took the time to explain the different extras packages on the various models available and went over our financing options and incentives. We were treated with respect and never felt like we were wasting his time.

Just purchased my 3rd vehicle from Don at Kamloops Honda and as always received amazing service! Got a great trade value for the vehicles I traded in and was extremely pleased with the process. I like the process to move fast and every department was extremely accommodating. Dealing with Christian in the finance office was great. Because I had to pick up my daughter from daycare I had to move fast so I signed the purchase documents as soon as possible even though the rates were a little higher than I wanted. Christian got me out the door as fast as he could and told me we could finish the warranty docs the next day. Although the next day was his day off he took the package and shopped it around and got me a way better rate saving me $40 a month. Something he didn’t have to do as the deal was done. He then drove to my work on his day off with the new rate and warranty docs and completed the deal at a better rate. This is the level of service that is deserving of a 5-Star rating. Thank you to the whole Kamloops Honda team for the great new Ridgeline and the awesome service. Can’t wait to buy the next one :)

The Kamloops Honda team provided us with nothing less than a consistent & excellent service. Troy is an excellent product advisor and he is well supported by a good team. Everyone is very friendly and they are very well trained to answer to your questions. One thing that is important to also remember its the fact that they sell the best cars. Honda's don't always come equipped with the best sound systems and gadgets. There is a reason to explain this, and its the fact that when you make the most reliable cars you don't need to have them equipped with fancy gadgets.

I took my car to Honda to get my driver's side door diagnosed as it was jammed shut and I was unable to open it from both the outside and inside and I was 99% sure it was just the door handle rod that had fallen out of place. They looked at it and I was told that the handle/lock mechanism was completely busted and that they would have to cut into the door panel to get into the door to repair the mechanism and they would also have to find me a replacement door panel, which I was told are on backorder so they would probably have to look at an auto wreckers. This was quoted at $700. Keep in mind that I drive a 99 Honda Civic, so $700 is basically a third of what this car is worth and I was charged $73 for an incorrect diagnosis. I took it to Honda because I was so sure about the issue and I thought it would be easy for them to fix, I was sorely mistaken. So I got ahold of my friend's father who was a mechanic for 40 years and I took it to him. It took him 5 minutes to get the door open with a Slim Jim and another 20 minutes to get the door handle rod back into place, which I was right about being the issue. I no longer have to crawl out of my passenger door and all I had to pay was $25 for a 12 pack of Budweiser to say thanks. My recommendation to Honda is that you use common sense before you quote an outrageous price on a 20 year old vehicle. It was a simple fix, and I didn't have to replace anything.

Last Month april 19th mike and I made a decision it was time to purchase a vehicle. For what I needed for my Family AND what fit into my budget It became obvious I needed to purchase something used. So I made, what I thought, was a smart decision to purchase from Honda Certified Used Vehicles. Not any random lot. Not a stranger. Honda CERTIFIED Used. So that I could have confidence I would get a quality used vehicle AND be taken care of Well.... this past month has proved otherwise Honda sold me a Vehicle that they Certified. Then they handed me some paperwork and told me to sign it. I did. I didn't ask the questions that I didn't know I needed to until now. Like for example: 1) do you have ANY kind of warranty on your Vehicles that YOU certify? 2) Is there an option to purchase warranty of any sorts,above what i was given?? 3) HOW do you know this vehicle is sound and what is your process for Certifying it with your 'trusted' Honda name? It's always the hardest lessons we learn the most from I complained the first week (march 28)off the lot that something wasn't right. They blew me off. I complained again the next week, (called may 3rd) They blew me off saying they didnt have the proper equipment to properly test the vehicle wich i might add i didnt find out they couldn't untill the 15th of may after waiting 2 weeks for an apt. And sent me to dodge. Then on may 22 it left me and my 2 kids on the highway for some time, then crawling home and then to honda first thing monday.. Honda said "too bad so sad, you didn't purchase the preferred extended warranty... and our equipment can't actually check that make/model for that issue so it's not our fault" take it to dodge again. $950 to fix it at Dodge And my only warrenty tow from honda to dodge! At first they told me to drive it there after i told them it was unsafe! So for my Dear Friends that have read this all the way through PLEASE don't trust the HONDA dealership in town to have any of your best interests at heart. They Do Not. BUT they will send you an insulting $50 gift certificate to spend back at there dealership if that's your thing!

First-time visit. Amazing service here. My car had a fault on the highway so I swing in to have it checked out before doing any damage. They had me back on the road in less than 20 minutes at no charge! Top marks for this dealership, at least for the service side. I can't speak for sales.

Purchased a 2010 GMC Terrain in January. First trip, the windshield wiper few off, then a knocking sound in the driver door. They said it had been serviced but when I took it to a second dealer, they had to do an oil change as the oil was low. When I asked to be compensated for the oil change, they did not comply. Also, salesman said he needed one more sale. Wrote to Vehicle Sales Authority but they said I must deal with the dealership. Overall not satisfied with this dealership's professionalism.

It's fair to say I am generally not a fan of dealerships overall, especially their pricing but this Honda is definitely an exception. I have dealt with the parts/service department several times and they've definitely been very helpful and even their parts pricing was decent on the few things I've needed. They've definitely gone above and beyond to give me helpful information on my Honda. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Tyson Schwarz- Assistant Service Manager helped me when my 2019 Honda Odyssey system went down due to an accident.It has been 3 months when he welcomed me and my family and offered with all the possible help while we are in their facility. We lived in Vancouver but we’re treated right from the beginning even if we’re not their customer. I’m sure you will be in good hands and he will take good care of you while doing business with them. 2 years ago I had my car serviced(oil change) while away from home, this branch found that my breaks were worn out and noted that I had to get my rotors replaced as well. 600$ later I'm back on the road and drive to my home town the next day. when I get back home, I go into my local honda branch and they tell me my old rotors were fine. 1 star as I wasted 500$ for nothing. the place may be clean, the place may be presentable, but nothing constitutes for bad service.

I have been taking my car to Honda for service for everything, from a simple oil change to brake work and tire changes, and everytime I go I get the most excellent service. I am treated with respect, and have never been "sweet-talked" into getting something I didn't want or need. The employees always explain everything that needs to be done, and what can wait. I have never felt pushed or pressured, and always leave feeling informed and confident in the work that has been done on my vehicle. Tyson Schwarz is fantastic, and his excellent customer service is the reason why I continue to return. He is the best service provider I have ever had, and as long as he is with Honda, I will continue to have my car serviced there. Thank you Tyson, and thank you Honda!

My elderly parents were lied to an manipulated after buying a Ridgeline trading it in within a month for a CRV. The company had to "take it for a test drive" and it came back with a broken windshield which was attributed to my parents. They lost my business for life(32 year Kamloops resident) and I tell everyone I know about my experience. I probably don't know too many people in Kamloops since I've only lived here 32 years though....

A Service person made a mistake and we ended up paying more than $300 for unnecessary service. I was told several times that "they would make things right" and that I would get a phone call from a manager. I tried reaching the manager twice., He never returned my phone calls. Never going there again, especially never buying a car from them.

I don't know exactly what a sheep feels like when it's fleeced but yesterday I felt like that's what happened to me! The labour charged for replacing three wheel studs added to a simple oil change, brake check and transmission oil change ended up setting me back nearly $850. I am never one to make reviews however; I think in these circumstances it is deserved. I am a young university student who recently purchased a used VW Tiguan from Kamloops Honda. Only 6 Days after purchasing the car, it had to go into the shop. Long story short the service bill amounted to over 3000$ from MULTIPLE oil leaks and other issues that Honda MISSED in their mechanical inspection. Going forward I have received the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. The customer service I received was unhelpful, condescending, and not once did I receive an apology from Honda for this financial and personal inconvenience. When reaching out to the GM about my negative experience both with the repairs and the customer service I was faced with the same response. No apology, no remorse and unhelpful. Moral of the story- Kamloops Honda doesnt know how to work on German cars and if you ever run into issues with them you will be greeted with BAD customer service and a big bill $$$. Take your business elsewhere if you can.

Service department helped us promptly , saved us from our trip being ruined and hassle with our two little kids ,very much appreciated . I've never had any problems at Honda and I just purchased a used acura. I had great customer service from David and Franco. They both made my first time buying from a dealership really comfortable and easy. Pulled in here on our cross country trip after our car was shaking when braking. The two in the service department were so friendly and super helpful. They were booked, but took 10 minutes to check our brake pads, tighten our tires, replace a missing lug nut, and then test drive our car! They let us know our car was safe to drive, but recommended looking into replacing roaters once we get home. We are in a service business- and these two were A++!! Thank you so much!!!

I meet one of the sales specialist and guy asked me to provide basic info and told me wait until he can help me financing options. I have never heard back from him and contact him via email again. I would have to say my experience was extremely disappointing with the service I received from this dealership. I experienced an issue that I brought multiple times to the dealership that the service department couldn't recreate and said it would be one of three things. I was told they couldn't do anything about the sound, as they weren't 100% sure what the problem was. Even though a bulletin had been posted from Honda Canada on the issue. The service manager assured me not to worry as it was still in warranty and would look after me when the problem got worse. My concern was the warranty would expire, and I would be left with the bill so he assured me that after the warranty expired I would be looked after. I am now 15,000 km out of warranty and am left with the bill. When I challenged them on charging me for the repair, the owner said, since I had my oil changed somewhere else there was nothing she could do. Seems like a weak reason to get out of supporting a customer by using warranty-approved oil changes from somewhere else as a scapegoat. The fact that the majority of the negative reviews are unanswered shows the lack of concern for dissatisfied customers who received a disappointing experience at this dealership. I always try and support local businesses but I would make the trip to another Honda dealership if you are looking for a good customer service experience.

One of the worst experiences I have ever had from a customer service department. Calvin Fry (Apparent Sales Manager) was extremely unprofessional in every manner, at one point telling me to get out and pay for every part my warranty was supposed to cover. They have lost a customer for life. Zero accountability for anything. I advise people to stay away!

I do not often write reviews if ever, however , i felt this was called for and frankly upset at the poor service. I helped my daughter buy a newer used car and thought the best option was buy from a dealer that advertised certified pre-owned, warranty and mechanical inspection. We found the right style of vehicle that she wanted at Kamloops Honda and happy not to go out of town. The experience went down hill from that point. Started with unprofessional sales person and crazy unsafe test drive - we over looked this situation as felt it was still the right car for her. I wanted my daughter to make the deal with sales person but soon realized they did not seem to respect a young girl and I had to make the deal for her. The newly bought car made the trip from Kamloops to Victoria and broke down - we both understand used cars break down but that is why we bought from a dealer thinking they would stand behind their sale - they did not at all. Even the dealership that was servicing the car in Victoria was shocked by the poor treatment we were given and called with no luck on our behave. I will not get into all the details as the story would be long and painful, but I will say we were treated with disrespect and overall poorly. Based on our experience i do not recommend Kamloops Honda

Not the least bit happy with our Civic, It would be fair to say it is a lemon in more ways than one. Unfortunately, after having the car in the service department for 25+ visits since we bought it in 2017, their ineptitude, turns to apathy and nothing gets fixed, they just resort to retrying things they have done before, and blaming things other than the car. And god forbid you need to deal with Natasha the service manager because she will pay you lip service to your face and then ignore your calls once you are out of sight. I would definitely not recommend getting a Honda to anyone, but if you think you want one I would strongly advise a different dealership.

They sold me a lemon a few years ago. The car had obvious oil consumption problems and unfortunately I was never made aware of this. The oil was run dry, so just a day after driving off the lot, my low oil gauge came on and I had to put 2 litres of oil in myself. It was as if they didn't even inspect my car before selling it to me. The car does have inspection papers, but it is as if they were fudged. As well as the oil problem, I am skeptical of these papers because it said the battery was good but then it crapped out on me two weeks later and I had to come back in to buy a new one. Negligent of a car dealership to say the least.

Dealt with the service department when my vehicle broke down, I would not return. They were fairly prompt at getting most of my vehicles issues sorted out. About half of the staff were great to deal with, while the other half gave poor service and seemed too rushed to care. Ultimately, I was told one of the issues had been resolved, it became clear it hadn't been after I left Kamloops. I was told no refund could be provided unless my vehicle came back to their shop 10 hours from home, fair enough... However, I am disappointed that the issue could not be fixed properly.

We came in to look at a CRV Sport. Mike greeted us in the entrance and took us to his desk to discuss options, well option, since there is a very limited stock of the Sport trim due to COVID. Mike was extremely easy going and not pushy. As Kamloops only had one Sport in stock, Mike and his manager Jeff looked around to see what else was available and found one on a train that they advised they could TRY and get our name on. They appraised our trade, and let us think. This was the first time I left a dealership and wasn't bombarded with the "what can we do" phone calls. Mike was very prompt in responding to my emails. We ended up picking the Sport that was on the lot. Mike went in on his day off to ensure the vehicle was put in the back so it was out of sight while we worked on getting the deposit done over the phone. We worked with Franco on the finance end, and the exceptional service continued. Franco listened to our needs, he made some recommendations, but never once pushed or made me or my wife feel bad for declining something. The whole process was the easiest I have had. I was looking at buying a new CRV for about 5-6 months now, but kept having horrible, pushy experiences where it felt like the dealership wanted my money, but didn't care about what I wanted. Kamloops Honda was the opposite, they were willing to go above and beyond for what we wanted and we cannot thank them enough!

Service department will scam you. Too bad dealerships are privately run, this Honda is all about the money. Awful customer service. They treat single woman poorly, they have private conversations about your vehicle in front of you and over charge. I have been to Honda dealerships across Canada, never been treated so poorly. Go to Victoria Honda, Yorkton Honda, Winnipeg Honda, all amazing in comparison to this place.

If you're considering purchasing a 2017/18 Honda Civic or CRV with the 1.5L turbo motor, do yourself a favour and conduct an internet search for "Honda engine oil dilution". You will see that there was a class action lawsuit involving Honda Canada. Essentially there was a defect in vehicles with these motors resulting in excessive fuel mixing in with the oil. This leads to reduced oil viscosity and premature wear on engine components, often leading to engine failure or other engine problems. Unfortunately I didn’t know of the problem until after purchasing my CRV new from Kamloops Honda. As a result, I brought an engine oil sample to BTA Oil Anaylsis in Kamloops and learned that the oil consisted of over 10% fuel (they can only test up to 10%). The oil viscosity was almost half of what it should be. This was only half way through the oil change interval. I brought the analysis results to Kamloops Honda. Despite the class action lawsuit affecting hundreds of thousands of vehicles in North America, the general manager Jim denied even knowing of the issue. Unbeknownst to him we knew that he had just purchased our neighbour’s vehicle back for the very same issue. The service department manager was honest and admitted to the defect in the motors. I was basically told by the service department to wait and see if the engine failed and if so, they would see if it would be covered under warranty. A few days later and after reaching out to Honda Canada, he said that a suggested fix was a software update. I had already done my research and knew that this would not likely resolve the issue but had the update done anyways. After the software update and a fresh oil change, I had a sample tested for a second time and the results were the same. The salesmen that sold us the vehicle said that the only way to fix the problem was to put a new motor in but that Honda Canada would never do it. Knowing that this engine will not stand the test of time as Honda engines generally do, we asked to speak with one of the sales managers. Kelvin made us a lowball offer for our vehicle, admitting that they would be turning around and reselling it on their lot as is knowing of the engine problem. After some back and forth, the sales manager reached out to Honda Canada to see if they would make up the difference to come to an agreed upon price. Over seven months later we are still waiting. The same sales manager actually laughed at us when I said to him that Kamloops Honda is responsible for the vehicles that the sell. His response was “actually we are not at all, Honda Canada is”. If you own one of these vehicles, do yourself a favor and get an oil sample analyzed. Its $20 well spent. If the results are the same and I am sure that most will be, bring them to their service department. At least if you have an engine failure or other mechanical problem, you will be able to say that you brought the issue to their attention and they ignored it. If you’re lucky enough to not own one of these vehicles, stay clear of them because they won’t address the issue or stand by what they sell at all. My car got broken into 5 months ago and it needed a new glovebox and dashboard. It took 5 months to finally get all the parts in, deal with my out of province insurer, and bring the vehicle in/out of the shop to get everything fixed. All in all, quite a process!! Fortunately, Sam in the service department was super on top of everything and contacted me every time he could with an update. Super kind, knowledgeable and made the process as easy as possible for me...you definitely don't expect to deal with a couple missing parts for this long but if I had to do the process again I wouldn't have had anyone else help me out...give the guy a raise!

My daughter, a young mother with two small children, dropped her van off for service this morning and had been offered a ride home with Honda’s shuttle service. This was her experience... “The service people for the shop watched me struggle to hold my toddler and take both car seats out at the same time and then carry him and each car seat through a heavy door that didn’t stay open. And then when my son started crying an employee walked by with her ears plugged and made a face at another employee.” Not only did no one offer to assist her but they were aggressively rude. This is not just a case of horrid customer service but also completely missing the boat on showing some human kindness and compassion. There are no excuses for this. You can do better Honda employees!

Our 2019 Honda currently requires oil change 4500 K. Done. However on Google, CBC Market Place etc. norm is 7,500 -10,000 K. for newer cars. I called Kamloops Honda for specifics. Why our CRV required oil change at 4500k? The service answer was less than specific. I wanted to know the liability for extending the oil change, and reason for the short oil change. Required Synthetic oil is expensive purportedly to extend oil life? I felt I did not get a satifactory answer.

Purchased a mini van back in 2008 in Kamloops where we lived at the time. Great. No complaints then. Skip to 2016, we were visiting my mother and took van in for service work. Work was completed however there is now paint damage to my van. Gave me the run around for awhile and ultimately the paint scratches were not repaired as I live on Vancouver Island. dropped off my truck that I bought from here less than a year ago, they kept it for nearly a week, leaving us with no vehicle. they did not follow up, forcing us to call and get information and updates, they never had any information when they did answer our calls. after nearly a week we barely had a diagnoses and were given a nearly $900 bill. when I went to get the truck to take it to a different shop I was charged $150 for the diagnoses that I barely got. needless to say I am very unhappy with the customer service I received and will not be going back to purchase or get vehicles serviced here again.

I purchased a brand new 2017 Honda CRV Touring in September 2007 and the battery has now died (after 26 months) and and will not take a charge. I also purchased their additional 7 year warranty so I would not have any issues. I live rural and this dead battery left me stranded and I had to have a neighbor take me on a 2 hour round trip to purchase a new battery in town. I called Kamloops Honda and spoke to their service manager who pretty much told me "tough luck" as the battery only has a 2 year warranty. I told him the car only had 26,000 km on it and a battery should not die on a brand new car after such little use. Same answer, tough. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed in Kamloops Honda for taking this position even if Honda would not warranty it. I advised them that that would be the last of my business they would see as well as my family"s & friends but again they just didn't seem to care.
