Broken-down truck on my vacation. Limped into their dealership 2pm on a Friday with a foreboding sense of dread and only a dim hope of resuming my plans. Doug in service quickly located the part in stock and his mechanics took over. Promptly got me all fixed up late on a Friday! And the bill came in at a decent price. Great small town feeling dealership. Thank you Stetson for also enduring my grumpy cat inside the cab and a road weary, dirty camper/driver.

Theresa and the staff in the service department are awesome. Stuck on a road trip needing a major repair and the staff jumped through hoops to help us get back on the road in a timely manner. Cannot recommend them enough.

I had a great experience at Stetson, Hinton. I was undecided about what vehicle I wanted to buy and they were so accommodating. Encouraged me to test drive various models and makes until I found my gorgeous Acadia! I wanted a bigger car to accommodate my family and my dogs and they helped me find the perfect option. Every single person I dealt with was great, the manager Cory was professional and super knowledgeable and the financing process was a breeze. Thank you Stetson I love my sweet ride!
I do not recommend!! If i could give less than 1 star I would! Bil the previous sales manager (now with Bannister) was fantastic with financing and trades. I was thrilled when I purchased my new vehicle, but that went down hill when I started having to deal with the service team. I purchased a 2019 chevy silverado trail boss, three days in I starting having engine issues. 40 out of 53 days of owning the truck it has been sitting in the shop. The staff does not seem to care or make it a priority. They lack in communication and the product knowledge as well as customer service. I had put my horses in danger towing without brakes or a tow package with them being well aware in advance that I had an appointment. They have not touched the truck other than ordering lifters which is what they "Think" the problem is. (without looking at it) After They said I would have my truck fixed and back to me "for sure" five days ago, I asked if they ran into any more issues which they replied with "the lifters look fine but were replacing them anyways" So i will be getting a truck back with the same issues I had before? I have no faith in the truck or Stetson staff (especially Management). In addition, I picked up my own canopy from the city and brought it to them for install because they have had my truck. It sat on the truck for a week until my better half went in and asked why my truck isnt done and they promised it would be done by the end of last week. (which it still isn't) he had asked the service manager if they have at least installed the canopy. he said yes, my boyfriend went to ensure he was not lying, Which he was! The service manager does not know whats going on in his own shop, doesn't care, or is just plain clueless. The general manager speaks with promises and reassurance which keeps falling flat as he has no idea what is happening under his nose also. As this truck is looking bad to all my peers and coworkers with being an extremely upset customer all I want is my truck back so maybe I can take it elsewhere now the service manager is uttering threats towards us to our peers within his workplace. My mother had written a review on their Facebook page and they deleted her comment and blocked her to protect their image. As its their image that matters even though they are destroying this and the customer does NOT come first in their books. Stetson is filled with lies and fake promises. I do NOT recommend and will Not be back!

Excellent parts department
Service was ok, but they left my husbands truck outside unlocked after hours and all his stuff got stolen. For someone to know that that truck on a gm lot was unlocked with enough stuff to steal, seems like they probably work there. Shady.

Big Thank You goes out to Jason and Carol in the service department,. We spent Friday night in Hinton only to wake up to snow and -25 temperatures. Checked the washer fluid at the hotel before our days journey only to find the washer fluid line seized and then the hood latch would not lock. Good luck on a Saturday morning right? Not a Stetson GMC, they had us in a bay asap and back on the road before you knew it. Great Service, Great attitude and Great Staff! A winning combination for sure, your service team Rocks! We were stranded in Hinton for four days. Luckily, we were only 3 blocks from Stetson when our RV quit. They immediately diagnosed our problem. Unfortunately, a part had to be shipped from Detroit, so we were able to "limp home" to the visitor center down the road, where we lived in the RV until the part arrived. Jenn, the parts manager, got right on the problem, found a part, and even double-checked with a Workhorse dealer before she ordered it. Had the part not been delayed in customs for a day, we would have been out a day earlier, but within 1.5 hours of delivery of the part, Doug and his crew had us on his way. We cannot say enough great things about how Jenn and Doug got on the situation, about how efficient the mechanics were, and how great the customer service was. Oh . . . and the cost was not prohibitive either. We were worried that it would be more expensive to repair than it would have been at home, but it was about the same. Highly recommend!! Added September 10 - We were on our way home, and my sister's truck indicated she needed a new fuel filter. We called Doug, and within an hour, he had her truck ready to go at a cost much less than it would have been in her home city. Again, Stetson stepped up and provided outstanding service to us!!!
It is not often that the word "integrity" comes to mind when leaving a dealership, but it is the word that best describes the feelings regarding my sales experience with Josh Campbell. I came into this dealership knowing what vehicle that I wanted to purchase and what price that I could afford. I fully expected, given the supply issues stemming from the semiconductor shortages, that I would be leaving without having made a purchase, especially since many dealerships are selling new vehicles at above MSRP. Josh and Chris were exceptional throughout my multi-day sales experience. They worked with me patiently and without pressure to identify what I needed and how to make the purchase work with the vehicle that I wanted to trade in (an early lease termination). While they didn't have the vehicle that I was looking for, they placed a factory order for it and got me into a similarly equipped used Canyon in the interim. The agreement that we were able to come to financially was also much better than I had expected. It is the first vehicle purchase that I have made that left me with the belief that I had left nothing on the table. I would without hesitation recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase a new or used vehicle. They gave certainly earned my business in the future.

My favourite gmc in Alberta. They are rarely busy and always quick to do maintenance on my truck. The only caveat is the parts availability is not huge as it is a small town. Luckily Edmonton is not too far.
I randomly lost my power steering, AC and brake booster while driving on the highway. I brought the truck in for service and from the front desk lady to the mechanics, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. When I mentioned that I was just on vacation passing through they managed to have a look at the vehicle immediately, without an appointment. Turned out I just had some loose battery cables which they seized on and didn't even charge me for it. I could continue my trip the same day I brought the truck in. Amazing dealership with amazing staff and service!
Had an alternator die when it was cold out. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and had it replaced within 3 hrs without an appointment
When my dream trip to the Canadian Rockies seemed in peril due to mechanical issues, the staff here took care of my truck, made me feel welcome, shuttled me around Hinton, and diagnosed and fixed the issues quickly, efficiently, and we're very inexpensive. Everyone I had the pleasure of dealing with here was top notch and I couldn't be happier that they saved my trip with only minimal disruption. I truly can't thank you guys enough for getting me and the avalanche back on the road and enjoying the amazing scenery up here!

I have been treated fairly there
Extremely unhappy with the sales person I dealt with at Stetson Hinton Buick GMC Ltd. Her dishonesty had caused me total disappointment, and the time (8 hours of bus trips and 4 hours of waiting until the dealership opened) and money ($140 in total) I spent to travel up to Hinton from Calgary on Feb.14, 2017 for the vehicle pickup. Since it was a used vehicle, I expected there would be rock-chips and scratches on the vehicle. Therefore, I had specifically asked the sales person to take a detailed look at the vehicle for hail damage, rock chips and scratches, and then send me close-up pictures of what she found. She sent me both interior and exterior pictures, but no close-up pictures. So, I called her again and she confirmed that there were no rock chips and scratches. When I got there, there were deep scratches (like someone scratched it with a key) on the rear passenger side door and another big chip (size of a nickle) near the C pillar. There was no way to miss these white scratches on a red vehicle. Also, there were lots of rock chips on the hood which could easily be seen 3 feet away. Her first excuse was the snow and she could not see them even after clearing the snow. Then, she said they were not bad in her opinion and decided not to take close-up pictures. She seriously thought that I would accept those excuses and the dealership manager offered no solution to compensate my loss in the situation. I was really excited with the purchase, but it turned into a total disappointment due to her dishonesty and how the dealership handling it. The only fortunate thing was that, upon my request, the Sales Manager, Bruce, arranged a ride to take me to Edmonton. Otherwise, I would have to wait until 8:00am the following day to catch a bus back to Calgary from Hinton. Thanks for your help, Bruce.

Was out of town for work and walking to a coffee shop and was checking out this dealership's lot because I may be in the market for a new vehicle after spring. I went to look at GMC canyon and the salesperson hit the lock button while I was looking at it, and didn't even bother to come speak to me. Nothing insults me more than being indirectly accused of being a thief or being called poor, without being called poor. It wasn't them locking it that insulted me, I understand you can never be too careful these days; what insulted we was tge fact that they locked it and then didn't make an effort to come talk to me.. Little did this condescending salesperson know, I was in talks with their dealership in Drayton Valley about potentially buying a new vehicle next summer, and they just ruined that. Want my advice? Don't deal with this place, staff are condescending and rude.
We were visiting Jasper from the US and had some transmission issues. Doug was extremely helpful and bent over backwards to help us out. He got us a loaner vehicle to use and had our truck serviced and ready to go the next day. I can tell you from experience in the states, out of towners don’t get the service we got here. If they treat visitors this well just imagine how loyal they are to locals. Excellent example of what a GM dealership should be!!! Thank you Doug for saving our Holiday!!
