Our extended family has purchased 7 Hyundai/Genesis over the past couple of years. Our immediate family currently owns a Genesis, Palisade, and Elantra. This is all that needs to be said about our feelings on the vehicles, service, and dealership. Went there today to look at different models and took a test drive in the Santa Fe Limited. It was quite a nice car with a 2ltr turbo that was very responsive. Slight rear cabin wind noise. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Terry answered all my questions about the different vehicles.

I had a great experience here. Everyone was friendly and courteous. They explained everything that needed to be done to my car. Called me to let me know what needed to be done in addition to maintenance. A mouse tried to build a nest in my engine. Wasn't as expensive as I thought. Was very pleased with the service.

Ok I was approved for the financing yesterday with $1500 down and$350 a month payments. Today in not approved without$3000 down and with the extra$1500 down payment would change from$350 to $416. That makes absolutely no sense at all. Now I wouldn't buy anything from them if it was$0.49 and payments of $.03. They done nothing but lie just to get me to come in. And cost me a days work.
This was the most pleasant experience I have had in years when getting a new vehicle. The staff was caring, knowledgable, helpful and most importantly, they listened to our needs and came through. After dealing with companies in the Birmingham area and tired of getting the typical run around and hours of frustration we came to where we should have in the beginning. We have dealt with Hyundia of Jasper's sister company across the street (Honda of Jasper) in the past and they recommend their Hyundai dealership. I went in here..toldvthe sales guy exactly what I could spend..without hesitation..thats all he showed me...upon returning from a test drive..i spotted another car..salesperson told me very nicely that the car wasn't in my price range....i really liked it..he asked if I by any chance was a veteran I said yes sir...he went inside..talked to the manager..they took 2000 dollars off the car..directly in my price range..needless to say..I am driving my car today..nothing but good about this place..never tried to upsale me..definately have referred my friends there..

***PLEASE READ*** I called the dealership about a vehicle I was buying elsewhere to inquire about a service on the car I read in the Carfax. First of all, the owner, Kevin, answered the call! He then took the VIN number, personally went to the service department and pulled records. He called me back within 5 minutes and gave me a full report on the vehicle. Keep in mind this guy owns 2 dealerships, yet took the time to do this even though I was not even buying a car from him! In a world of corruption and greed, this man's honesty and sincerity was refreshing! Thank you.
Service was good, the sale was easy and they gave us the best deal that worked for us, they worked to get the deal done where we told them the payment we wanted to pay, and they came back with that payment and a 2000 dollar rebate, so we are pleased with the deal and the vehicle thanks to all who made the deal work.

When I was looking for a deal on my 3rd Hyundai, I decided to try Hyundai of Jasper. Overall I had a great experience and they really deserve 5 stars. However the cubicles in the sales department are a little to cramped and tight. I found that I could overhead some of the conversations in the next cubicle which isn't good when your sharing financial information and doing a credit check. If they'd resolve this issue everything would've been great.

New Cars but also have used cars not a huge lot but they makeup for it with there personalities.Everyone was kind and helpful Devon was our sales person she was awesome.The office was clean they answered all my questions.They worked with us and helped to get us where we wanted to be on payments.We visited 8 carlots in one day.They had the car that spoke to me.But they made me feel valued.There was no b.s.straight up good ole country folks.I would recommend them to everyone.If I was rating them between a 1-10 scale I give them a 10.
Sadly I had a terrible experience here today. The salesman, Shawn, was supposed to be a good person to help me out. Considering I’m a new college graduate who starts working as an RN in January. He could have cared less to help me financially. So selfish. Didn’t listen to what I wanted in a vehicle. Wanted me to pay 20,000+ but basically shrugged his shoulders to me. I went to Ford of Jasper across the street and they were AMAZING and actually helped me out. Shop here if you please but look for another sales associate who actually cares to help instead of looking for commission.

Hyundai of Jasper Service Department: it won’t let me post all We brought our 2012 Santa Fe to you back in September 2018. I was pleased that Hyundai committed to replace our engine that seized up—but the engine was on back order; so our car was setting up for six months- which is never good for a vehicle to set up that long. The hood wasn’t shut completely during this time or even covered up at all leaving the whole area exposed for six months. I know a guy who replaces engines in cars and usually they have to bring the vehicle back once or twice to get small issues repaired-like sensors , leaky radiator, etc. However, from day one we’ve had trouble-the main issue is it’s not starting occasionally—and can start fine the next hour. I have some knowledge in maintenance -and I’m thinking it could be the neutral safety switch-or a bad connection to the starter relay. I was really upset that my wife had to spend most of her day Monday waiting on y’all to check it out and from what I understand-all y’all did was tighten the cables to the battery post (which had nothing to do with what I wrote on the note that my wife gave to y’all). That is the first thing I would have checked was that safety switch—and then loose connections to the relay and starter. Ever since we got the car back after the engine replacement it’s had issues it didn’t have before-even the air not blowing hot air on the passenger side. If it’s not a vacuum line it has to be the passenger side actuator -which is behind the glove box-a simple fix-and things like that happen from setting up too long-but y’all told my wife it could be $300-400 in labor alone (probably thinking it was blower motor). This 2012 model does not have dual air control. I’m going to fix that issue but that could have been taken into consideration. In addition, the Left Engine splash guard was missing( that covers the pulleys)-I couldn’t hardly believe this—all the pulleys and the compressor have been exposed with dirty water. I’ve noticed my compressor pulley is making a lot of noise but I’ll probably be told that it had nothing to do with the engine replacement. Hyundai spent a lot of money on an engine replacement that was done as a speedy job. During the six months we were waiting, we were not informed or updated that there were more delays except for once—when my wife called to check on the progress. Also, mice got in the vehicle and made a mess, grease was not cleaned up inside of car-just not a great total experience. I’m supposed to make copies of what I wrote and send to Hyundai Assurance —but I’m going to wait to make sure it’s resolved.. Well Now, after this my wife took it back again-not to mention she may have lost another days work to set around and them not to discover any issues-they did tell her they checked out the starter but I knew what it was after researching the problem-the Neutral Safety Switch (and she stated that to them)is bad-I have changed it myself-it looked like it may have been drenched in oil and or coolant -and they told my wife that they checked the NSS out and it was ok—but found that hard to believe after dust was all over it...but it hasn’t missed one time of starting after I changed it out-it’s almost like they don’t want to admit nothing is their fault. I’ve got pictures of everything-the missing engine guard-was also stated to Hyundai of Jasper-in which they had said it wasn’t missing-it’s a $6 piece at Rock Auto -but after she brought the car back- I had noticed that the front splash guard had several bolts missing-I bet that’s our fault too—loose bolts in engine that was for valve cover-and several bolts left by wipers. My wife also stated about the vehicle shacking bad at times for no reason-which I found both front wheels lug nuts were not tight at all-so I tightened them up but being so loose may have been causing the shaking -and that made the passenger side tire feather on the inside-also tightened an engine mount that wasn’t tight all the way-so vehicle hasn’t shook since then-they made my wife drive a mechanic

So I couldn’t respond to Kevin Callahan’s response-so I’m posting again— you tried to justify the review, it looks like you’re taking what you’re employees tell you over customers-and may I say not well defended -Yes, Hyundai did fork out over 9,000 dollars—so that’s my point—you took advantage of them—which I had the million mile warranty anyways—I also got mechanical experience—I don’t care if the car is “10” years old like you said...even if the hood wasn’t all the way up (which we rode by a few times) and it wasn’t far enough to be considered closed—-the normal thing would be to cover it up with a tarp or any kind of plastic—there were too many loose parts to shut it like you said-you can’t talk over my head to me like HJ did to my wife—the Neutral Safety Switch I replaced doesn’t cost about 30$ it sits on top of the transmission-you could tell it looked like it was pressed down during engine replacement and got covered with coolant—IT WAS DAMAGED-and the PS engine splash guard that’s missing WAS on when it was brought in-it seems like you could have forked out 40$ to correct the two issues-(that’s all I was asking for) than to spend more than that looking for the issue -I always detail clean my vehicles—I know what it had before—and the front splash guard is missing bolts also—but you didn’t adress the loose lug nuts that could have been deadly for us-Yes a Safety Issue—they were so loose that I could almost turn them without a tool—as if they weren’t tightened again after being on the lift—and I believe that caused my tire to feather on the black wall side—or the loose Engine Mount? But we could sit down and discuss these issues but it’s our word against yours—however I’m not trying to get issues resolved anymore —I’m trying to warn others what to expect and possibly to make Hyundai of Jasper better-so no one else has to deal with this—it’s not to try and get even-but may I add!! If you do the Math correctly! Our car is still 7 years old—it’s a 2012 model—your response said “10”! Trying to make it more than what it really is—That’s not truthful—so that being said what would make any one believe everything else you said? There also, was a price on the ticket that said we requested a new battery! We did No such thing—I had another battery at home—they were getting more $ from Hyundai Warranty..or so it seems-that is not an honest way of running a business! That’s okay! You reap what you sow -if you’re right, then you don’t have to worry. Our Vehicle had no problem until we brought it to you—once again-I’m thankful for what Hyundai Warranty did , but that’s has nothing to do with Hyundai of Jasper. What you said about the splash guard is contradicting what your mechanic said—he said the cover doesn’t go all the way but I posted pics on Facebook—I know it was on there before. You also didn’t address all the loose bolts that were falling out as we were going down the road that could have busted somebody’s windshield—yes a handful were left in the tray below the windshield wipers-maybe we can talk but it’ll have to be when I come back to Jasper—it got old going back and forth the first time to just tell us it not your fault, that our vehicle is old...
