I was seeing a lot of adds coming from Justin helping a lot of the first nations people and I really liked that, so I thought id give driven cars a look . I have had a worst experience !! I was kept being told my vehicle will be ready for 15 days taking full payment. The day comes then they have another excuse another more 2 days. I felt not very professional of this place and kept giving me the run around. They don't even call me to tell me issues or problems. Based on my experience, I have following suggestion; 1. Think before buying a car from this dealer 2.If at all plan to buy never give them advance more than $100 3. Make an agreement for the delivery date of vehicle if they don't then take an action.

This dealership has been the worst experience of my life in buying a car, their service center never actually fixes anything, they sell lemons and uncleaned cars. They also don't stand behind their own bs sales guarantees. The amount of stress and aggravation at literally every possible phase of my experience leads me to strongly urge prospecting buyers to seriously consider other dealerships. This one is run by clowns, avoid. Reply to reply: I never left town A SINGLE TIME for any reason, you did not pay a single red cent for ANYTHING. My girlfriend and I went to just browse to see what they had, the next thing we knew they were running our credit without asking. They made us feel extremely pressured to purchase a car from there. Ended up putting a hold on a car we werent totally sold on because of how pressured we felt. The next day we found a car we actually loved at a different dealership so we went with them instead. When we informed them and asked for my deposit back they told us to go in one day to get it only to be told the manager “forgot” to get my cheque. The salesman Jarrid was nice but the experience as a whole doesn’t sit well with me. After talking to people we heard many negative things so we’re very glad we didn’t buy from there.

I've bought a cars now from Gene Keast at Driven cars! This is a fantastic business that's been around for a while. They specialize in high quality, unusual and special imports. They have a reputation for outstanding quality, honesty, and integrity. I've enjoyed doing business. Pricing on the car was fair, the buying process is easy, and I will go back here again because of the excellent customer service and high quality vehicles. Gene Keast really knows his cars well, you won't find a better used car dealer than Driven cars. One thing i have to mention is about the i-car which is also a used car shop where they completely disappointed me by give me hope on a deal, the pulled out my credit with a lot of banks which i was sure i will be approved because i was having a good credit score. But at last the asked for a 5000 dollar down for a car. At last they did a complete unfair deal for me, which i will see as a unfair betrayal from i-car. After this incident i went to driven cars where they set me a higher price deal with 0 down option. Once again i thank driven cars and especially Gene Keast for the Excellent deal and for the customer service that Gene Keast and the entire team offered me.

He explained all of the benefits Driven Cars offers with EVERY vehicle and knew what my budget was. He got Me into a really nice vehicle with low kilometres and a good price. He let me drive test it and was very transparent with the vehicle, he showed me all of the Percs of the vehicle and did not pressure me into anything at all. The staff were very polite, the environment is inviting and they have amazing coffee! The sales rep and managers were very involved in our sale making it clear that they wanted to get me the best deal possible.

Where to start... encountered so many problems here starting from the day I took it off the lot. For starters when I got the vehicle the inside was dirty and the seats were stained, initially was told they would clean the interior. Then comes the mechanical problems, the main issue being the engine. Brought it to the attention of the sales rep and was told to bring to their service centre; from there they said it was probably the wheel bearings. Didn’t trust this so I went to get a second opinion - where it was confirmed to be an engine problem. Went back to the dealership and was told to go make an appt with Kia and they’ll fix it. Made all the necessary appts with Kia and was told Driven should be covering a rental, so I call them and they say it’s up to Kia... didn’t feel like doing the whole back & forth thing so I just said forget it. Another issue being the car starter not working and the windshield wipers kept falling off while driving... plus they seemed hesitant to check the wheel bearings - as I was told to “try to get Kia to fix it, it’ll be better for us”. & to top it off the car just broke down while I was driving today. Feels like I bought problems instead of a vehicle. Don’t waste your time here.

Ben Baker was fantastic! Fully knowing I’m not ready to make a purchase, Ben went out of his way to let me test drive one of the newer cars that came off the truck. He respected that I was just looking to get a feel for things & was able to answer all my questions. This is my second experience for buying a used car in Driven Cars Canada. I got lots of help at that time, especially about the after sale, thanks supporting from Ian. I got my second used car in Early June this year. Thanks Ben to help me find my vehicle, we like the car when we first saw it. Thanks Chris for his help for getting me the second key, that's so nice of him. Drivens do a lot of care before they sell the vehicle now, improve the quality, like new brake. Do not give this company your contact information unless you're 100% ready to make a purchase. Extremely pushy sales tactics, their staff won't stop harassing me. Out of curiosity I used the form on their website to see what my vehicle is worth as a trade in, and was forced to provide contact info to see the results. Since then (2 weeks ago) I have received 2-3 voicemail messages every day and a handful of emails asking if I'm "still interested in buying a car" despite never indicating I was interested in the first place. I have unsubscribed from their emails and blocked 3 of their phone numbers, but they keep calling back from different numbers. I have to question the ethics of a company that employs these kinds of tactics. How desperate are you for business that you need to continuously harass someone who clearly is not interested in dealing with you? Please stop harassing me, I definitely do not want to do business with your company.

If I could do negative stars, I absolutely would.... Do not shop at Driven! It is by far the worst customer service along with nothing but over promising and under delivering. Purchased the truck back in December. The truck has been in several times for break issues and an engine knock and every time we are told the same thing it's normal. Not even after a month of having it we had to get the window fixed and the motor in the door and then immediately after that it went in for a break and engine check. According to driven and their mechanics Dodge engines have a knock. We stayed on top of oil changes and are drastically losing oil we also had the brakes looked at many times and we're told that there was nothing wrong. While driving on the highway with my toddler the rim completely snapped in half from being scored for so long by the caliper. We are so lucky nothing happened but also are absolutely shocked! When trying to contact John the manager to explain the situation we were met with confrontation. They will not return our calls or messages. When going there we are always met with "John is in a meeting" we decided to get a second opinion on the truck and took it to a dealership that also does servicing under the extended warranty company that we purchased. After submitting for the failed engine we received a $10,000 bill and we're told that only $2,500 would be covered. In my contract while purchasing the vehicle I specifically signed an initialed the full powertrain warranty in which they are not honoring so we have had to reach out to a lawyer and omvic. I absolutely hope that this review is read by many so you don't make the same mistake that I did. They are not in the business of making people happy and keeping customers coming back they are in the business of let's make money now and who cares about the customer! I'm making payments on a 48k truck that I can't drive 6 months after buying it! Yay!

10/10 don’t recommend unless you like being ripped off and having your interest rate and car payment changed on you 6 months after buying a vehicle off them. No help whatsoever, didn’t even want to fix their wrongs. I referred a friend as they were doing a promotion to receive 150 cheque if that friends buys a vehicle, they bought a vehicle and I got left in the dark.

I had the best experience Jake a finance manager took it upon himself to make sure I got everything I wanted in a vehicle. Having never bought a vehicle from a lot, I was super nervous. Morgan helped ease my anxiety, and had me in my new (to me) car, driving off the lot in less than 24 hours. I had one SMALL issue come up, about a week after I took my car home, and Morgan had me booked into the service center and fixed up ASAP. It was really great. Morgan was so nice, patient and accommodating. She also followed up a couple times after I purchased to make sure I was 100% satisfied. Arthur from financing was able to get me a really great financing rate, and a bonus it was with the financial institution all of my other business is at, making it that much easier. I brought a car in 2019 first week of January which is good. But they didn't explained me about the extended warranty properly when I brought the car. I was expecting 6 years of warranty from the date I brought. After few months I realized that the extended warrenty starts from date the car was on road. Which means I paid $2500+ hst and interest... A huge money for nothing. I could buy a better car for that price. They are concetrating on selling the extended warrenty on high cost and I don't think it worth. If anyone buying a car from them make sure you check their warrenty. Every day I think about my foolishness.

I went into Driven to inquire about financing a vehicle, did a test drive and was not happy with the vehicle selection. Ben was my sales rep and suggested a Subaru Outback that was not even running, no battery and some issues with the starter. This was not the vehicle i was originally interested in purchasing and felt like i was only being given one option. I was pre approved but did not give banking info or sign off on final sale and now they are not releasing me from the approval to go elsewhere to find a vehicle of my choice. I feel like i am being held hostage.

I was really happy with the actual buying process. I found what I wanted online and then contacted them. Great service and paperwork was completed quickly and easily. After my 1st oil change which I had done by their service centre I discovered a knocking which I mentioned to them. I was told it was probably lifters and nothing to worry about. "Probably" didn't sit well with me, so after I took it back in a few weeks later, it turned out to be I needed a new engine. No problem, as I purchased the Platinum Warranty. I left the car with them as I was leaving for a month on holiday. `That was end of Feb/ beginning of March 2020. Fast forward to July 2020 and yet another issue with the car stalling out. Took it in 11 days later (only time they had)to get fixed and mentioned that the 'door open' light was always on and doors wouldn't stay locked. When I called a couple days later to see when I could pick up the car...still wasn't fixed and wouldn't be available til Monday or Tuesday the following week. I complained that I had already been without a car for over 13 days and needed it before then. Thank goodness the mechanic decided to stay and do it before 5 pm Friday. Picked up.....stalling issue fixed but warning lights and doors not locking all the time is still an issue. Then in December of 2020, the remote I purchased with the car no longer works unless I'm 5 ft from the car. The winter before, it worked from my balcony on the 6th floor! Went 3 times to Power Centre (Driven's installer) and they can't fix it to this day!! (Feb. 2, 2021). Just before Christmas, I get a text from the Sales Dept telling me I have to update something....confused I called them. They are trying to upgrade me to a newer vehicle! I had a bit of a conversation with them. Wow, the phone calls and texts you get when they think you might be good for more money. I explained, because of covid, I would like to diagnose my vehicle and stick with it. Bottom line, the phone calls stopped, I can't get any response, the service office doesn't even answer (but that could be due to covid). I do however get lovely little texts wishing me a 'have a great weekend' on Fridays!! So here I sit with a car that doesn't always lock, warning lights work great even if not needed and 2 original remotes and the new one I bought recently to try and rectify and still doesn't work!! Will try to return new remote to Power Centre as nothing works on this lemon..grrrr

Don't waste your time with this company. They contact me to buy my car, make me an offer of $8000.00. I was asking $11,500.00. Told them I would take $8500.00. They said they would get back to that day. The next day after calling numerous times they said they could give me $7500.00. What a joke and run around. Their word means nothing. I contacted them through their website chat feature and was immediately transfered to a sale person at the dealership via email. They proceeded to ask what I was looking for (which I already said in chat) and then they proceeded to transfer me to another person (the third person). Ben was the final person I got transferred to, and was friendly and all, but kept asking if the second person I was talking to already gave me the same information. I don't know why I needed to be passed around, I was just looking for a sales person to help me, not to be bounced around. I felt like I wasted my time telling the both other people I talked to all my information and what I was looking for, to only have to repeat myself yet again to the second and third person.

Let me just start by saying that the sales person was great. I dont believe he works there any more, his name was Ben, but he was very friendly and helpful. The finance person however, Dustin, completely ripped me off. Convincing me I needed extra coverage even after I told him no thanks. He was persistent and after a while, I went with the coverage. It turns out, I bought a complete lemon of a vehicle, and NONE of the problems I have had, which are MANY over the past 2.5 years, were covered by my extended warranty. Absolute waste of money. When I first test drove my Jeep Cherokee, I knew right away it needed some suspension work. I told Ben this, and he notified the garage. The mechanics said there was nothing wrong with the suspension. 6 months later, one thing after another, I have been replacing parts on my vehicle non-stop. Tie rods, brake work, shocks, struts. In addition, the motor mount had to be replaced within one week of owning it. It has a faulty transmission where it jerks into second gear, at 50km/hr, making a banging noise. I baby this car, always have, and it has still been to the garage at least 8-10 times since owning it, putting thousands of dollars into it because my warranty did nothing for me. I will never buy from them again, sorry to say.

I had a very negative experience with Driven Cars Canada that I would like to share. I purchased a vehicle with them this Summer and every step along the way was frustrating. After paying a deposit and signing a bill of sale, I was asked to sign for financing or pay cash before I had ever seen the vehicle, being told that there were other customers that were lined up to buy if I didn't do that right away (I did not do this, of course, but it took some discussion). The reason they cited for this was that they wanted to be more liquid with cash as they were opening up a new franchise. Since the vehicle was coming from out of town, I was expecting some delays, though in the end it took about 6 weeks for my to actually get the car after signing the bill of sale. I received phone calls every couple days towards the end, each saying a new ETA for the car. This is in spite of assurances it would be ready before I moved out of town, and then before my initial return home, so I had to make 2 trips back to town in the end before actually getting the car. The car ad and the bill of sale actually advertised a higher level of trim than what the car actually was, and the advertised price was much more in line with the higher level. When I pointed this out, all they did was offer a full refund on an exchange, which I pointed out was not feasible since I lived out of town and relied on having a vehicle. I have not received any communication back since then. I would not recommend that anyone work with Driven Cars Canada.

Very helpful on getting a vehicle. A couple weeks of owning the vehicle it started to rattle. Took it to their driven cars shop on fort William road desk lady was basically mocking the issues I was describing saying oh they probably won’t find it. Left it with them for 9 hours for them not to diagnose the problem. I take it to the actual dealership they said suspension components were broken easy fix as the car was still under original warranty but my brakes were not the proper fit. As it’s rattling around dealership suggested oem brakepads. So I take it up with the sales guy he says their shop can’t take another mechanics word for it. I do not trust them to look at my car again as they couldn’t even diagnose the rattle when the other dealership of the make of car I have did it in one hour. Going to cost me 400$ to get proper fitted pads when supposedly they installed new ones. Paper work originally said all 4 brake pads would be changed after 30,000km but they only changed 2 fronts.

I traded my Nissan Frontier for a Rogue back in December and had a good experience with Driven Cars. They were much more engaging and cooperative than the actual Nissan dealership! After a few weeks of going through different vehicles, payment options and the usual process of looking for a vehicle, we finally found the right fit. Naturally they try top up-sell like any dealership, but is didn't get too bad. I also wish I had gotten more for my car, but I doubt I would have gotten better elsewhere. Amanda was really great on finding me a lower insurance rate and was also able to get me approved on a car loan with mediocre credit. I gave them three stars due to the fact that this is my second used vehicle purchase and I had such high expectations. Upon buying my first used vehicle, I was greeted with a bouquet of flowers and a thank you letter, full tank of gas and as well as a follow up on how everything is. The car that I purchased with Driven Cars, I was a little disappointed because I didn’t get the things that I got with the first experience of buying a used vehicle. No follow up, less then a quarter tank of gas, nothing. The exterior of my car (the roof) was also really dirty full of mud spots and I had to bring it to a car wash myself. To me it seemed that as soon as my business was done with them, I was forgotten about. They did offer me the choice of discounting $500 or giving me a free car starter which was nice. Another issue I had was with their service department. Although they are very good and friendly, I had a couple marks and concerns around the vehicle that I wanted fixed and even included photos of the spots. Yet they only fixed 2 out of the multiple concerns I had. Because I had to go to work/errands, I had to rent a car but once I returned the rental car was when I found out that they had to keep my vehicle over night. I had to cancel a shift at work the following day because I had no way of getting there and I wasn’t going to pay for another rental. In total they had my vehicle for 16 hours which was quite inconvenient to me. When it comes to finding the right car for you and getting approved on a vehicle loan, this is a great place to go to but don’t walk in with such high expectations as I did.

Id like to share a story i was selling a truck on kijiji and I had one of driven cars employees messege me saying he woukd be interested in selling the vehicle for me so I agreed he came by an picked uo the vehicle then about an hour later I had a buddy call me saying he seen them rodding the vehicle down arther st nowhere near there dealership or there mechanic shop so if you have a similar encounter maybe reconsider

I found the staff at the thunder bay location very ignorant. When looking at vehicles they were more worried about rushing to make a sale rather than listening to my needs and wants. As soon as i showed interest in a vehicle they were printing out the paper work for it. I felt very forced into making a quick decision. There are adds on facebook stating the sales man can help you with all your needs start to finish instead of involving multiple people (to have a more personal relationship) how ever this was not the expierence i had. Multiple people multiple times of the day constantly hounding me if ive made up my mind yet and threatening to sell the vehicles i showed interest in to try to rush my decision even more. Over all - very un-satisfied.

They're an average car dealership with a terrible body shop. Asked to bring in a car I found at a Quebec dealership that I liked. They told me no problem. I specifically asked them to ask about rust, and any body damage that may not be visible from pictures. Again, told no problem. I asked what happens if the car comes in with rust or anything like that. Again, told not to worry, youre covered in case of things like that. I paid an extra 2500 just to get the car delivered. Well car eventually gets to thunder bay and I point out things I want fixed. Little rust on quarter panel. Told no problem. Well they did a horrible job painting it. Paint has bubble and is already starting to rust in the same spot. Didnt notice rust under hood and under hatch as they didnt even show me the car when it arrived (I had to drive to the service shop after hours to take a look at it in their parking lot) so all I could see was the rust on the outside. So I ask them to fix the rust on the trunk and hood. Told I would have to pay around 1000 to fix that. Reminded them that they said they would, but told them to at least do the hatch and I will worry about the hood. They did the hatch, and when I saw how terrible the work was, I didnt mention it as I didnt even want them to touch my car again. Overspray everywhere, not properly sanded or prepped, masking job looked as though a blind 12 year old did it, and they didnt even get the entire spot. I did the hood myself with rattle cans in a garage and it turned out a million times better and is lasting much longer. Overall I feel as though they got a lot porter to paint my car to save money. Even though through the entire process they told me not to worry about exactly this. I would personally never recommend them to anyone EDIT (Response to owner): I bought the fiesta st in october. Hopefully you can remember now. If you only do minor repair, why would you even attempt to do paint on my car? You should have sent it to a qualified body shop. Very irresponsible.

They gave me the price I asked for and the sales representative (Kessandra) was nice and helpful. It took a couple more days than expected to have the cheque so that's why I give 4 stars instead of 5. But overall, I'm very pleased by the experience. I recommend it.

My wife and i are in the market for a second vehicle. Went to the thunder bay location walked around the lot, thought it was weird no one was asking to assis us. When we finally approached someone they said they were sending "ben" out to help us. We waited another 15-20 minutes wondering the lot. We did like a few vehices parked there that we wanted to inquire about. "Ben" never did show, nor did anyone else show interest in making a sale with us. We have directed our interest tp another dealership who has been more than happy to assist us.
