Went to Canada Cars not to long ago to look for my first car. Laga (the owner) was super helpful, knowledgeable and able to help me find exactly what I was looking for. He let my dad and I test drive a few cars and look around without ever feeling pressured. Prices were vary reasonable and worth what you were getting! Through the purchasing process Laga made things very easy and took care of the licensing and everything. He asked if we noticed any issues during our test drive, my dad thought there may have been a very minor alignment issue so Laga had his mechanic take a look and fix everything before we picked it up at no extra cost to us! I have known Laga since 2006. He is one the most trust worthy characters in automotive industry for decades. All of the reviews that state one stars and I must point out the one that claims that the vehicle was purchased from Laga needed brakes and had a bad head gasket....I am sorry, but that is simply unrealistic. EVERY vehicle that Canada Cars sell come with 90 day basic powertrain warranty, head gasket is covered by the warranty. Claiming that the van needed brakes, do not throw rocks at Laga, he takes vehicle to mechanic, mechanic measures rotors and pads according to Ontario Safety Standards, so how is Laga at fault in this situation? Based on 100s of reviews that say, when they had issues, Laga took care of them, because that is what GOOD car guys do, and Laga IS a GOOD car guy, why would he not take care of this van. It is quite clear and obvious that the whole store is not told. Laga is EXTREMLEY reputable member of UCDA, he has been for many years, and guess what that is not going to change. He has been around for so long, that he simply realizes that TIME, is the most valuable thing that we humans have, and if he comes across someone who does not understand that, well......Laga is not fault. At the time that this review is posted, ,Laga must of sold more cars than many of his customers have taken breaths. Hands down, if you want to be treated with respect, honestly and transparency, you should most definitely purchase a vehicle from Canada Cars. But if you think that you are smarter than everyone around you just because you watch Dr Phil and Gerry Springer, have enough respect and buy a vehicle from another dealer

Recently purchased my 2012 TDI Jetta from here, and honestly had the most fabulous experience. Its obvious that Shelley and Laga care SO much about the client, rather than simply the sale! I'm really torn on this place. I enjoyed my interactions with the sales rep, and felt I got a good price on the vehicle. However, I felt the detailing and polishing wasn't done very well. What really bothered me though is they handed the vehicle over with an empty gas tank and windshield washer fluid tank. They sold the car safetied and certified which was good. A full brake job was required for the safety. I understand profit margins are small on used cars, but they put cheap pads on the car which squealed. If there was better communication I would've paid a little more for better pads since I ended up getting new ones later anyways. There was a brand new off brand name battery that had to be replaced 3 months from the sticker date.This is my first vehicle, and my first experience purchasing a car. I just expected a little better service. I love my new car aside from these flaws.

Was looking for a good condition compact car for my teenage son's first car. Found that Canada Cars was very friendly and not pushy. Test drove a 2012 Chevy Cruze which was in good condition and drove well. Did the deal with Triana who was very helpful and polite. Showed an interest in my son and his girlfriend. Was able to get a very good deal with a lower price than the sticker. Triana arranged to get the car Safety Tested. She needed to put new tires on the car, do an oil change and new front rotors and pads. I requested winter tires and thought that it was great that she called me to offer me an upgrade to the tire brand for a reasonable up-charge. The car only came with one key fob. She arranged a local company to cut a new key and pair it with the car. New winter mats were also included. The only minus point was that the car was supposed to have a new lamp cluster fitted to the rear fender as the reflector was cracked on the old one. This was forgotten and we found it out on the day of collection. Triana was very apologetic and ordered the new lamp cluster and had it fitted within a few days. She even offered my son a loan car whilst the work was being done. Overall we are pleased with the car and got a good deal. Doing business with Triana was a pleasure and we never once felt pressured or being sold something that we didn't want. A smooth process which we were very happy with.

Just drive by, don’t stop here. Bought a Benz with a safety and it’s been nothing but problems since I picked it up. It broke the day I left the lot. Their mechanic “fixed it” a few weeks later the back air suspension blew. Now the compressor for the air suspension is gone. The car is nothing but issues, and they should be ashamed of themselves for selling bad cars. If you do buy from them- get your own safety done

As I go over all the reviews for this place I agree with a lot of them. The customer service I got was great but really that is their job. Overall my purchase experience was ok, I feel like they did work hard to find me a lender as I was financing a smaller amount and could not use a bank for financing. Once paperwork was settled and signed I then noticed an extra $700 charge. My fault for rushing and signing papers without fully reading over it. When purchasing the car it came safetied and a 36 day warranty on the car. We were also told upon picking up the car that we should do an oil change in about 4000 km. About a month and a half of having the car I started to experience break issues at this point I no longer have a warranty with the dealer. The thing is the breaks were squeaking when in park but only seem to happen every so often. Until about a week ago now it's just a constant grinding while driving. I was going to get the breaks done, but called Laga to see if there was a warranty on the break pads as sometimes that is possible. He mentioned that there is no warranty on the pads but I could take it to either 1 of 2 places that he deals with and that he would honor it as they want to have a good name for their company. So I took it to one of the places he recommended, I dropped the car off on sat. And told someone would work on it on monday. Monday afternoon came and I had heard nothing so i called the shop where my vehicle was being fixed and the gentleman said it was done first thing in the morning. The gentleman seemed surprised that Laga had not called me. I then tried to call canada cars in which no one answered the phone. I waited a couple of hours and called back again still no answer. I then went to pick up the car thinking all has been settled once I spoke to the owner of the shop he then informed me that Laga told him I was paying for the part and laga would pay for the labour. Well... I only had the rear passenger caliper and rotor fixed and the guy said the total was $450 and i owe $250 what a scam all four breaks should have cost that NOT one. I would have done this myself. So thank you for scamming me. And still you could not pick up your phone and Man up as an owner of a shading dealership. I would have been ok with the answer no sorry ma'am your warranty is up and the breaks arent under any warranty. But instead I got scammed! Dont be fooled by there customer service upon purchase. You have my phone number if you would like to contact me regarding this situation as I have tried to call you twice with no reply. I do not recommend this place for buying a vehicle. I have bought better vehicles for less on Kijiji with no problems at all. His reviews clearly indicate the same issue I am having, I wish I would have looked at them first.

Worst car dealership ever!!!!!!! They made me drive to Toronto to get paperwork when they have people who live in Toronto that work there that could have brought it. It took them 4 weeks for what they told me was a 2 hour process. Now months later after buying this lemon from them and getting the warranty so that I could avoid this issue, they have now decided to not even answer my calls and when they do they say they will call back and never do. My car hasn't been able to move for 3 weeks now and they can't even call me back .. ridiculous...

Took 1 whole month to get my car off the lot. Got a month out of warrenty and enging misfires started happening. Was in the garage every month after that with new problem or same misfire. Said they would buy the car back then tell us the engins blown and would give us less back. Than say we can only trade into anotjet car off the lot. Run run don't buy from here you will get screwed I bought a truck not even a year ago and needed repairs because engine light was on Loga promised to fix any issues with the truck .The engine light has been on every since day one no repairs were done the mechanics would erase the engine light to keep if off and I have put thousands dollars of repairs warranty coverage is nothing and the macanic Nelson one stop shop are bad macanics according to ford run run or you will pay out of your own pocket . I finally found out from ford why the engine light is on in the truck it needs another $6000 dollars in repairs thanks laga for ripping off some good people.your selling people vehicles that need major repairs that's bad really bad.

He was very polite, reasonable and accommodating to my requests. I do not live in Ontario so I had to fly to Toronto and planned to take the bus the Kitchener. Laga offered to pick me up at the airport which saves me time and money. He also put new winter tires on the car which saved my a$$ on the way home as I ran into a snow storm on the 12 hour drive back. I could have purchased similar cars from other dealerships but Canada Cars has the best google reviews so I went with them and I’m glad I did. I was happy to see that the car was exactly as advertised when I arrived. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you Laga!

Our review is a little unique. We dealt through the phone with Shelly & also with the owner. I can't express enough the honesty that we received from them. We were going to purchase a car from them but wanted certain things dealt with first. They were more than happy to comply . (There was a bad smell) and a few things to pass the safety. The safety no problem. The smell .... they did there best. They told us straight up it was less but still there. They didn't have another vehicle at the time that was suited for us & said they wished us well in finding something and understood we needed to do so. From the service we received thus far we would recommend them.

My experience was frustrating initially because the vehicle I purchased had a number of issues in the first month. I would however recommend working with Laga as he was great and fixed most of the problems it had and was willing to do what needed to be done. All staff I met were quite friendly as well.

I came across this shop somehow while looking around for a used car online. I don't have the words to say how great this place is. Laga the owner took care of me and help me find the perfect car. He did all my paper work. He didn't make me feel pressured into buying it as other shops have. All around it was a great experience. I LOVE MY CAR. On a side note: I was there a few times over the course of a week. He treats his employees amazing. I will recommend this shop to everyone.

This is the worst place ever !!! My girlfriend purchased a used Jeep from this joke of a dealer, and unfortunately the dealer had his mechanic "push through" the safety ignoring NUMEROUS major and minor repairs required. A second safety check has been done to show them what was ignored. They have blatantly lied to her continuously given her a runaround. This has now been a battle taking over 2 1/2 months of BS and excuses. The MTO is now involved to make both the mechanic and dealer be accountable for there actions. I will now do all I can to help put them out of business and I will be going everywhere possible to warn others.

We drove in , He was busy , the owner , Lago was there . He was not welcoming us At all . He has no smile , I didn't get a good feel about him at all despite that many people Have said good things about him on reviews. After awhile Doug attended to us , made a world of difference , he is a good sales man , Knowledgeable and subtle in changing your mind . Even if you are not buying the vehicle , it was a pleasure to talk to him . So , cheers to Doug !

I would not buy a car from this place! I found an ad on Kijiji from this company. It posted for a 2014 F150 Lariat. Loaded with leather seats and a wood grain finish dashboard. It did not seem right so I called into the dealership and spoke with Shelly. She confirmed it was an XTR model and had many less options than posted. She assured me that this was a mistake from the "new" guy that posted the ad. I asked her 3 questions regarding the scratches, accidents and cab corner quality. 2 days later I did not get any responses and told her I was not interested anymore. Within 5 mins I received an email Shelly with the very generic answers. We played back and forth and figured out a price. Thats when she told me there was a little crack in the plastic above the bumper. She assured me there was no accidents and that the part was being ordered and fixed. I told her i was coming down and if all was well i would be purchasing the truck. When I got to the lot, Shelly had stepped out for a bit and the other salesperson showed me the truck. The truck clearly was in some sort of accident. The small crack was about 6 inches. The bumper was separated from the truck and folded under almost touching the passenger tire. The bumper had rust spots clearly across the top. I asked Shelly prior to making the 4 hour round trip drive if the truck was clean and free of problems. This dealerships quality is obviously different from the average person. So after being falsely advertised (still posted same 2 days after so far) for a different truck and told no issues or accidents when there was shows what type of sales person and dealership this is. Do not trust these people! They are the classic used car tactics

I do have to state that dealing with Canada Cars and Tom, has been a pleasure. Bought the car. Identified a few minor items to be corrected. When I came to pick it up, not only they fixed everything, they went above and beyond, including new brakes all around. Tom was great to deal with, more like having a good conversation with a friend. I HIGHLY recommend Canada Cars and definitely Tom. BTW, I live 150 Km away. The drive was 100% worth it.

I was driving a blue Toyota Corolla that was rear ended on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 around Lexington by one of the employees at Canada Cars, Shelley. As the employee worked in the car industry, she recommended that I go to the company's body shop to get it fixed out of insurance. I went there, and got an assessment to which the advice was to use a heat gun to bring the back of the bumper that came up from the collision back down. I wanted to get an additional assessment due to the conflict of interest of using the company's own body shop and went to two different body shops for a quote. The quotes were indeed higher than what their own body shop gave me. Due to the nature of the collision, using a heat gun would not have repaired it to how it was originally as the bumper not only went up but also in (would have required dismantling the bumper and using heat to bring it back to original, which has potential for damage). The average of the two quotes would have been around $1,300 to replace the bumper. I submitted the quote and gave the options of 1) a payout or 2) running through insurance. They insisted that they wanted to use their own body shop and did not want to pay the higher quote that would have replaced the bumper. For me, I was just hoping to bring my bumper back to how it is originally, but was asked by the body shop that I was sent to "why I was being fussy about small damage." One of the employees, Sergio, was also very rude to me and at one point said to me of getting a second opinion, "why would you want to get a second opinion? Do you think I would care about a Toyota Corolla? I sell BMWs here and get car doors repaired, what incentive would I have in a small Toyota Corolla." Sergio also tried to pressure me to just get it repaired by their own body shop and tried to tell me that I would have had to pay a deductible for insurance. However, this was a no-fault collision where I was rear-ended at a stoplight so I would not have had to pay a deductible anyways. In the end, I settled with just doing work of using the heat gun in their own body shop on August 27th, 2019 due to the amount of time wasted dealing with the people in the establishment. The name of the body shop is, European Styles Automotive, on Victoria Street. Overall, very poor quality of work involving this matter. Shelley is a very nice person, but it was hard to settle with her after already giving her quotes from two separate body shops. Sergio was very rude and aggressive. In the future, I should have just gone straight through insurance. I am not sure on their methods of selling cars, but if it is anything like how they dealt with this situation, I would recommend going elsewhere. Hope this helps someone when looking into a place to buy cars in the future. Thank you.

I came in looing for a specific vehicle, and these guys had one in great condition, with the lowest price i could find between kingston down to london. Worst mistake I've made buying from this dealership. Was travelling some distance to look at a truck and was told it would be ready to drive of the lot that day if I liked it, test drove the truck and it clearly had mechanical issues. They agreed to fix the problems and detail the truck and deliver it, which then turned into me having to meet them halfway. A week later I met them half way to pick up the truck. The truck had not been detailed and was still very dirty, the driver informed me because of traffic he used the 407 Toll Road and I would be receiving a bill for it. After contacting the dealership to get reimbursed for this bill I never received a response. Cheap body work and paint were used on the truck as I have only had it for 3 months and it has gone from having virtually no rust, to being covered in rust. The truck also now requires new wheel bearings and breaks. Save your money and time and buy somewhere else

Was looking at buying a car from this dealer. I had 70% of the final purchase price in cash. Looked into this financing they offer. On a $3000 loan they want over 4500 in interest and fees??? Tried to tell us only 10% interest but couldnt come up with a reason for the rest of these fees. I would steer clear of this dealer. Not here to help.

I bought a 2008 Ford Ranger here and I'm very happy with my experience. Shelley and Laga put a lot of effort into making sure I was satisfied with the truck. They were very easy to work with, I could tell they wanted to make sure I was happy with the experience. I didn't have a large budget but felt I got a good deal and a great truck for my money. The truck came safetied, e-tested and they fixed any concerns I had with it after driving and taking a look at it.
