Unlike many of the other reviewers who were buying their first cars, I'm a 67 year old guy and have bought many cars - new and used. Buying a car from Alir and Nick at Prio Auto Sales has been a very pleasant experience. Both are friendly, knowledgeable, not pushy at all. Even negotiating a better price was easy! The car I bought is in very good shape and they were careful to be sure it was properly safetied and certified. I would recommend them to anyone in the market for a good used car.

Purchased a vehicle in September 2018. Wish I had a mechanic look at it before. They assured me that their mecs look at and repair all cars, and that if it passed the government safety it must be good. I noticed some serious wheel noise within the first 30 days. Took it to a mechanic who identified a number or issues (Wheel Bearings needed changing, A/T and Differential Oil needed changing). I asked Prio to honour their guarantee on at least the bearings, though they should have changed the oils (they were BLACK) as part of their sales package. They took the car in for a couple days, called me back and assured me they had replaced the problem bearings, I test drove, and it did appear the noise had subsided. It is now clear they put a band aid on the problem. By Christmas there was serious wheel noise again. It has progressed to being un-bearable. It is clear the wheel bearings were not replaced, and the car now requires a 1000+ job less than 10 months after purchase (probably should have done it 3 months after purchase). I expect maintenance. But this was a problem before my purchase, had been identified, and then a verbal (my mistake) assurance of repair was given. This is on me. I should not have trusted that work would be done. I should have done a pre-inspection, and I should not have taken them at their word on this work. If there is work to be done on a car, negotiate a lower price, and have your own people do it, or walk away from the purchase. EDIT TO RESPOND: You are correct, it was 1800 dollars to cover all the work that was required on the vehicle- including 2 bearings and multiple other items. I did not use that mechanic, I went to someone else. The parts and labour to properly replace the bearings IS that much, which you would know if you had followed through on what you had said (or led me to believe). I know understand your mechanics confirmed that they were JUST good enough to get through a safety and past the 30 day warranty. Further to the bearings; I have replaced a coil due to mis-fires that were starting right after purchase (1 more needs changing), we had to replace the rims you sold the car within 2 months as they had a slow leak due to cracks and peeling in the alloy finish, the AT oil was bad, the diff oil was bad, I had to clean tree sap off the entire vehicle, you didn't follow through on cleaning the vehicle, when your mechanics changed the oil the filter was improperly replaced, they broke bolts on the car when doing the "servicing"; I can go on. I really tried to let a lot slide-I am not upset that this car needed work-it is a used vehicle. We just expected that a certain level of pre-screening by your "mechanics" (and your guarantee) would ensure we were not putting $12,000 into a car that would need extensive work less than 7,000 kms/10 months in. The final straw was realizing those bearings did need work all along, and you had done (by your own assertion that there is no such thing as a band aid) nothing to address the problem. They did NEED to be replaced, and I continued to drive on them believing them fixed. I understand you will always see it differently-I just hope that I can strongly encourage future clients to complete their own EXTERNAL inspection of the car, and not allow your sales people to talk them into buying on word that repairs will be done alone.

These people are very nice when i went to deal with them. they were very helpful thru my buying experience but they sold me car that was in horrible condition. It was my first time buying a car so i didn't really know much, we bought the car 'certified' which i thought. A week after picking up the car we figured out the air conditioning didn't work which they were nice enough to get it fixed from the same mechanic that did the certification. It was not until i brought the car to its first oil change where they told me what a disaster it was. The car was in poor condition, i was in danger while driving it without even knowing. The 2 from tires were completely finished, the right front axel seal was leaking, the front ball joints were loose, the subframe has a big rust hole in it, i needed to replace the right front tie rod, the oil pan is completely rusted... and more. Thankfully i bought a 2 year warranty with them with peoples choice warranty which have been very helpful with the repairs of my car but i did have to spend a lot out of my own pocket to fix the car. It may not have been the dealerships fault as they might not have known, but the car should have definitely not passed certification this is a reply to the reply from Prio Auto Sales. I appreciate the help from you all, i do believe you are a good dealership but the car that was sold to me is not. thank you for your help throughout this. but I bought the car in may, we are now October and after about 10 times to the mechanics i dont think ill be able to hold on to it. the subframe is falling apart, this has been going on for years, when i bought it there was holes in it. i dont know much about cars, so i did not know when i bought it. The whole suspension is rusted out, and there is now noises coming out go the transmission. trut mounts sway bar, stabilizer links, rear tow links all need to be replaced. My mechanic, (not the one recommended by my warranty) told me he thinks i should cut the car loose or it will cost me thousands of dollars to fix. i will have to contact my warranty. 2 months ago i went in to find buy my own tie rods, and 2 brand new tires because when i bought it the tires were completely finished. These types of cars (Dodge caliber's) are known for problems, i should have done my research and not purchased so quickly. i was in a rush but now i am left with no car. thanks for your reply and help. But after this experience i honestly can't recommend.

April 14, 2021 - I went to look at an F250. The ad stated it included bluetooth, keyless entry, parking sensors, side steps and backup camera. It didn't include any of them. Jorge, the salesman, stated that Kijiji deciphers the VIN and then post that it has bluetooth, keyless entry, etc and Kijiji downloads the information to their website. April 22, 2021 - I made an offer on the truck via text to Jorge. I got a reply saying "Unfortunetaly sir were a little too far apart". I asked "How far?" and never heard back. So I bought elsewhere.

So 3 stars but it may lead to 5. The approval team is good and has resources to get even the most challenging approved. So getting into a car is relatively easy. I would like to say the staff is attentive to customer service but that is where I have my issue. The senior management team is responsive but needs to understand peoples location when dealing with certain issues. While we had a "minor" safety issue with the vehicle I do understand it is the mechanic not the dealer that did the safety and ultimately I have no doubt it will fall back on them. The Dealer has to take ownership of the issue(s) as it is there chosen mechanic. I happy to report with some effort the senior manager stepped up and addressed the issue. I am hopeful over the next month or two I will be able to edit this review and give the dealer a higher rating but as of now I can only give 3 to 3.5 star. Update: I have increased the dealers rating as they are dealing with the ongoing issues with the vehicle. I am not faulting the dealer with the vehicle issues as they didn't build the car but I do fault the condition of the vehicle when it left the lot. UPDATE: I have know lowed the star rating to 1. The dealerships promise of 30 days and 3000 km is meaningless. The sold a vehicle with weathered tires that would never pass a safety according to Butlers Chevrolet, Midas, OK Tires and Canadian Tire. However, they did replace them. The brake rotors are warped causing violate steering shaking and I order a set of rotors, pads and the brake kit for $128 plus tax from Rock Auto and the labor would be about 2.5 hours. I requested if not demanded reimbursement but it was abruptly refused, I have had the car for 6 days and it is been in a garage for 4 of them. There has been only 500 km put on the vehicle and deal states "I caused the issue". As I said they didn't build the car but clearly the dealer, the sales staff and ILIR (the manager) all have a script just to sell a car. I have reported the matter to OMVIC and will be taking this dealer to court if they don't come clean with their promise. Save yourself the headaches and shop elsewhere. They are unprofessional and clearly don't understand their responsibility. UPDATE: So the dealer has now told me to stop calling them when attempting to resolve the warranty issue. The dealer provides a 30 day 3000 km warranty and now refuses to honor it. The vehicle was delivered with very worn tires, a broken stud and warped rotors. The dealer claimed the vehicle met Ontario Safety Standards though MTO and OMVIC stated "it wouldn't meet the safety standards". This is apparently a "family owed and run business" and the Manager "Nick" claims the salesperson and the manager are out of pocket. So if that is true the dealer is even willing to violate employment laws. The director who apparently is the owner is never on site making one question what is her function...is it just for show? OMVIC listing for this company portrays the structure of the company and how they operate is contrary to how it is listed. ** SMALL CLAIMS ACTION NOW FILED **. Yet another lie. I dropped off the vehicle with the keys and lawsuit and after they agreed to take it back now they claim it is voluntary repossession. DON'T BUY HERE they will lie all the way and deliver a vehicle with used parts.

I bought a hatchback from Prio in April and I can say staff was very friendly and the buying process went great. They were attentive with my concerns in the first 30 days. I was given the wrong trunk liner and a couple of pieces in the trunk were missing. They replaced it immediately. Unfortunately, my low review comes from after the 30 day warranty. I discovered some damage to the interior of hatch door window and when I reached out to Prio multiple times to discuss this, I never received a reply by phone or email. Just completely ghosted! Whether we would have reach an agreement or not on this issue, this was completely unprofessional

An inexpensive car with some issues however it will be road ready and the owner s will go the extra mile to make sure it meets a basic safety they use known shops and will send a car back on valid complaint s. Don't expect a full tank of gas or ur car to be spotless or perfect for the most part that's not what they are selling. But if you want an affordable car that will do what you need it to do. And an honest staff this place is for you.
