Original Post: Wanted to buy a Range Rover, was told I would be the first person to be called to buy it. They sold it to someone else. Didn't even have the decency to call me. In Response: You are absolutely right! I was very indecisive about purchasing the 2005 Range Rover for several reason. The first being, I was unsure whether I wanted the 2005 or 2009 Model. The second being, that I was looking for an infotainment system that would integrate with the Rover. Which I did find! The one owner, I am assuming there are two, could see that I was hesitant to buy it. He kindly told me that they still have to fix her up and detail her and that they would give me a call when it was done and I would have the first option to buy. Which I was very grateful for. It gave me the time to make a final decision, which I did; to buy it!. Unfortunately I never received that call, it was sold to someone else. If there was a communication error and someone else did have the first option to buy a simple phone call telling me so, would have been fine. We all make mistakes! God knows I do several times a day! However, that did not happen and to simply blame my indecisiveness over which model to purchase instead of taking responsibility for you your mistake is just bad customer service. To that end, I wish you and your business nothing but the best!

Refused to allow outside shops do a pre purchase inspection on a porsche 996 at my expense. (Only porsche specialists can do a DME readout which shows how the engine has been treated over its life.) He would only allow his mechanic to do an inspection for an additional cost which likely wouldn't even include what I was really after. Dodgy. I politely explained why I wanted it and received a rude reply back saying this is the wrong car for me and I should look elsewhere for something newer. He's also advertising work done to the vehicle but offers zero records when asked, claiming privacy act prevents it. I'm happy to avoid this place after Ken's replies. Edit in reply to Ken's accusation of abusiveness. Since the exchange was done via email and not over the phone, please identify the abuse? I still have the emails. They paint you in a poor light as a business, not me.

I had a very good experience when purchasing a vehicle here a few months ago. Very friendly service and knowledgeable given the type of vehicle I was after. Accommodating and provided full details, documents, history of vehicle etc. I would classify this this as more of a specialty dealer carrying in some cases, unique and rare classics, but a selection of newer models as well. A positive experience all around and I would both return and recommend them.

I agree that Village Auto has very unique cars.. I went to Ancaster for a follow up appointment with a surgeon there and we noticed a covetable SUV.. really nice unique SUV but not more than 6 hrs. after we bought the car.. and gave them cash.. the car would not shut off!! and not just that.. the power seats didn't work and they told us everything was great on the car, They never told us that the pushbutton start ignition needed to be replaced and the power seat they refused to fix!! so only after brining the car ( AT OUR OWN EXPENCE ) to the US and Canada Nissan, and with out a car for almost a month and a half... the ignition switch was replaced.. I wanted to return this car 12 hrs. after we bought it but Dave Piper said ABSOULUTLY NOT !! What? So we buy this car April and after running like fools to 3 different Nissan dealer, Taking time off work, E-mailing Omvic and the President Of Nissan... and Not being able to register the car in Canada.. It is now May 30th and we just got this car back from all this running around... and after hundreds of dollars out of pocket . Village Auto paid for a $ 77.00 Ignition switch but has not Tried to fix the power seat or even once tried to help us feel at ease with this car... Ken Wayne also never once called us to say anything about all the issues that we are having with this car!!! DO NOT!!! and I say again!! DO NOT buy any car from this company... at least go to a dealer that can be trusted and will have your back!!!
