I was told my slipping clutch "was within spec"... Unfortunately I will have to bring it back in or something for these problems. Edit: got to meet with the manager of service who told me it was normal due to the automatic car I bought actually being a manual.... even though no other ford focus of the same year in the lot foes this. so upgraded to 3 star for service but overall still unhappy with ford. My first car and it's a huge lemon

It was great to experience! Never in my life have I been so humiliated !!! I am an entrepreneur and very successful, but Ms. Kendallo is very unprepared !!! He insinuated that I was not the owner of my companies, questioned my legality in Canada, in the end, I should have called the police and sued Mohawk. In the face of this disappointment, I went to the Dodge in less than 1 hour and got my credit with infinitely better conditions than Ford's

Friendly, Organized, Professional and Reasonable. That's the best way to describe the people here. I have never been treated like anything other than a valuable customer. It is five star service. Unfortunately, the car I purchased has a power shift dual clutch that is just terrible. And there seems like there is nothing that can be done. It has been serviced, but the problem remains. It is unfair that Ford asks quality people at Mohawk Ford to sell a troublesome product and have their customers bear the burden.

She recently went in for the Fuel Tank Deformation recall and a Maintenance Service #2. They ended up telling her that her brakes were at 3mil and talking her into doing the brake job at 6000km! It's my second time getting my car serviced on this location. The service team are excellent and very friendly. They also informed me about timings and important facts about my vehicle. My only concern is the bad customer service I received on their shuttle service driver. He dropped me off to my house driving 70kph on a 50 and complaining that he's late on his next appointment! I didn't feel safe at all. He was tailgating another vehicle. He even says when my car is ready he is not sure if he can pick me up because his priority are customers from Ancaster. I hope he gets reprimanded. It's the worse service I have ever received.

Thrilled with the sales and delivery experience of my 2021 Ford Bronco Sport at Mohawk Ford. Had to pre-order when the new vehicle was launched, was contacted by the dealership to review my selections. Salesperson Josh Maltby proved knowledgeable of all the options and features, listened and helped with the right package and options. Was guided through lease and finance options and found the right deal for me — no hidden fees or surprises, no pressure to upsell. Was sent pics when the vehicle landed and I drove it off the lot the next day. So happy this far with the vehicle. Ford got the details right. So many great features. It’s only been a day but the ride is great. Thought the new tech and features would be overwhelming but Josh took the time to walk me through everything (sometimes more than once) and answer all my questions. Mohawk Ford strives to satisfy. They work fast and you sometimes get a complimentary exterior car wash. They have enough staff, always answer the phones and try to get you an appointment at your earliest convenience. The prices are reasonable, and worth it if you need a Ford expert. They have kept my old 2003 model running for so long. They never recommend unnecessary work, I am sure my car needs more than I pay for, so I trust their honesty because they respect my budget. Finally, the staff are pleasant, you get unlimited hot chocolate and shuttle service.

The lady at the service counter was awesome to my girl and I yesterday despite me giving a bit of attitude which I did apologize for at the end. I got to know way more about my car then what Wilson’s in Guelph was disclosing to me. That being said Wilson’s forgot to mention to my girl and I before we bought the vehicle that I had a European engine in my 2015 Ford Fiesta SE and that it can cause a lot of transmission issues. Having just moved back to Hamilton after a 20 year absence in Ottawa I needed a new Ford dealer. I found Mohawk Ford as the closest dealer to me. I gave them a call as I had just received a recall notice before we moved. The service department was very pleasant when booking the appointment asking if I would need a ride home. I arrived about 15 minutes early as you never know how busy the service department is especially the day after Boxing day. The service advisor was quite pleasant (also a surprise) . My truck was taken inside within a few minutes of me arriving. It was brought back out 30 minutes later, finished and ready to go. I was advised as to what had taken place and what to expect with the change in programming to the computer. My entire experience was exceptional and as such, Mohawk Ford will be my go to dealer moving forward. I highly recommend giving them a try if you have never been there. This is the second time I've used Mohawk Ford, there are some things that I believe you must go to a dealer to fix, they have the proper tools and knowledge. In the past I have used another local ford dealer, however the experiences were NOT good. So far I have been very happy dealing with Mohawk. Twice I thought my brakes were in need of repair, but they wouldn't replace, sent me on my way explaining that it's a hybrid, the brakes just have a different feel than a normal vehicles ... My family all worked for GM growing up and I was poisoned against Ford. 6 years ago I rented a Ford Fiesta and I loved it so much I drove to Mohawk Ford Hamilton dealership and bought one. Hardly any issues with that car in all the years we had it. Then it died last week. So we rented a Ford Escape. Loved it so much drove to the same dealer to buy a new one. Spoke to Laurie on the phone. She was so helpful with our broken Fiesta and didn't rip us off at all. I asked her for the most kind, least pushy, woman sales person they had. She immediately said, "You need Patricia." Well, OMG!!! BEST SERVICE EVER. Patricia didn't try to sell us anything we didn't want. No trying to up-sell us on things we didn't need. She was so kind, and not pushy at all. And we were (are) going through a tough time emotionally, and she respected that. I just love her. Then we were sent to Colleen for our financing and I swear I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Again, kind and wonderful. Thank you to these three ladies for making our experience so pleasant. I hate being sold to and being pushed around. And in the car industry that seems to be the norm. Oh the stories I could tell you of salesmen talking down to me and trying to rip me off. But not Laurie, Patricia, and Colleen - my dream team!!! I'm ACTUALLY looking forward bringing my car in for tune ups just so I can see them again. And to buying my next car from them in 6 years!

A very good experience! Prior to getting my radiator replaced on my 2006 Explorer, I was given the option of going with a third party part as they tend to be less expensive. I appreciated that offer, but chose to stay with Mohawk Ford and the Ford part as they do stand behind their service (my personal experience). Upon examination of the work I noticed that there were two hoses running into the rad that looked like the outer shell was fraying. I took pictures and sent them to Jordan Emery the Service Manager after I had called him to express my concerns. He promptly replied back indicating that the 'fraying' I observed was a little bit of the heat guard and that the hose was fine and that I did not have to spend the extra money to have them replaced. I appreciated that. My experience with Mohawk Ford has been that if there is an issue, it always is best to review the situation with the management team. I have found them to be extremely understanding and responsive. I will always appreciate Stacey's offer to try get assistance from Ford to repair a 'fluky' break of the support arm (Sunroof) in my F150. She overheard me explaining the problem to one of the Service Advisors and she approached me proactively and indicated that she would try and get help from Ford. She was successful. I have been getting my cars/trucks serviced at Mohawk Ford since the early 1990s and although we've had our ups and downs, actions like the one for the Sunroof makes me keep coming back. August 2, 2016 - Update. I had to take the 2006 Explorer in for service the leak that appeared in the coolant lines that run from the front to the heater box in the rear. I explained to the Service Advisor that I wanted them to review the charges, as I had just had the Radiator replaced and was frustrated with yet another repair. She promised that she would review the charges with the Service Manager and when I went to pick up the vehicle, I noticed that she had reduced the labour rate to compensate me for the loyalty and the repeat visit.

Thanks again to the team at Mohawk Ford! Today, we took our Escape in to have it's tires changed from the snows. While there, we were greeted by a lovely and friendly woman (sorry to have forgotten her name) and she took care of our needs asap. I asked about our other car, a C-Max and that it had an issue in the taillight... First time brought my focus 2014 here for service. Booked appointment in advance. I had a friend drop the car off. When a friend came to pick it up, no service was done. Only the clutch was checked which need to be replaced in coming week. Recognized the mistake, service was done for free. Although friend had to wait for another 90 min, he said admin is nice enough. I am still waiting for a call back regarding the clutch change. Will update this review accordingly. Updated: received a follow up call after the holiday.

I woke up to a dead battery on a bitterly cold day on the Friday of the long New Year's weekend. Mohawk Ford was able to take my car in that day despite being very busy, and replaced the battery and even completed my oil change service which was overdue. They called me with a quote during the servicing, and even called back when they realized there was another part required that would only cost another $15, because they wanted to make sure I was okay with the extra cost before proceeding. The shuttle service was excellent too.

Purchasing a vehicle is fine, but be warned, their service packages are garbage. I tried to put my winter tires on back in October during my annual service and was advised not to by the staff, they told me to do it closer to the winter. I did so just to end up having to pay...which is total BS. I was told "tire rotation is only included if you do it during your annual service", which I tried to do. I pay enough extra money each month for my service package, I shouldn't have had to pay for this.

Do not buy a Ford. Certainly not from this dealership. I bought a brand new Focus 4 years ago. As soon as i picked it up and started driving it I noticed big problems from the notoriously bad powershift transmission. I trusted Ford to fix it because it was under warranty. I have had the clutches replaced 3 times now and still having problems. I talked to Ford customer relations and they're willing to do nothing for me. I talked the sales manager at Mohawk Ford. He wanted to give me $6k for the car (4 yrs old, 117,000 kms) and he wanted me to buy a brand new car. So not only was ford not willing to help their customer. They wanted to pass down the cost of their defective design to the consumer and try to make a profit. He was not even willing to absorb the cost of refurbishing the car. Ford is a terrible company. It's not a surprise they can't sell cars in North America. Update: Mohawk Ford contacted me through Google reviews. Anyone reading this rest assured this was only to save face. They were not willing to make a better offer and stand by their product. Don't buy from them.

I went to this location for the first time today because my previous mechanic couldn't pin point the problem in my vehicle (it was the turbocharger). Upon arrival I was taken care of right away and they did a full inspection and diagnosis of my car and found that my turbocharger was failing and needed replacing. Once again a very comfortable purchase experience with the sales team at Mohawk Ford. Our new (2021) Escape is a perfect fit for our life style. As retirees getting into and out of the Escape is easy and the performance is surprising. We specifically chose the 2 lt. engine option for the towing capability and it handles our cargo trailer like a champ. Fuel economy is another big plus. The list of "likes" goes on and on. We have yet to find a "con". Short version, we love our new Escape!! Just completed the first service on our 2021 Escape. Service was started promptly on schedule and completed in a timely manner, ie: not so quick as to be "sloppy" yet not too slowly either. Service writer friendly and competent. Covid restrictions in place. Good job people!

Meeting Daniela, my advisor, she greeted me pleasantly with " Good afternoon, how may I help you today". She was a great help as I tried to explain what had happened during the hot weather with a very rough, shuddering acceleration. Of course now it is cooler temperatures the problem doesn't present itself the same. She took all the particulars, carefully listening to me and then reinterpreted back to me to make sure all the info was correct. She then ordered the appropriate tests. Also having my winter tires installed and an oil change done with other checks as well. In a short time the Focus was out on the road being tested, of course due to the change in temperature, the problem didn't occur. However all the staff that I met where pleasant and tried to be most helpful. One suggestion though, could the technician please set the date on the screen so that I may change the time. Most frustrating trying the get the new time set and not having it complete. Apart from the suggestion, the visit was quite pleasant. Even had the staff wish me a Merry Christmas as I will not be back until late spring. Nice touch.

On the other hand the technician who serviced my vehicle found significantly extra tire tread depth on one of my tires (compared to a previous different technician months earlier) - someone is not reading the depth accurately. Very suspicious business practices. On their website, a Mazda was listed for $7000. On autotrader.ca, it was listed for $6000. When asked which price is correct, he said the $6000 is correct and the price was JUST lowered; implying it was at $7000 for some time, but the website had no pictures of the car at all. Asked if we could test drive it, they said yes, it was a recent trade in, it's beautiful, garage parked, etc. Doesn't mention any issues at all. Once we arrive in person after a long drive, says there's rattling and it's a heatshield. I do a quick inspection of the car and run a scan, there's error codes with the EVAP system, airbag sensors need replacing, massive amount of rust around the wheel wells, one completely eaten through. Conveniently left out pictures of the rust in the autotrader.ca ad. Asked if this would all be fixed up and they said yes. They were going to see what the total cost of repair is, whether it makes sense, etc. Then get back to me on whether they'll fix it, sell it, junk it etc. Haven't heard a thing for a month. They're really good at smooth talking and being super friendly; like most dealerships. Be very careful and use a communication method you can document everything so it's not a he said/she said thing. The moment you catch them lying or something is conveniently unmentioned or 'misinterpreted', just walk. All trust is gone.

I'm from the US, and found myself in need of quick service and document retrieval so that I could import a newly inherited vehicle across the border without having to return. The car was seen promptly as scheduled. A free shuttle was offered, though I opted for a rental which was provided at well below market rates. The work was performed to satisfaction in the time allotted. And the Vehicle Compliance document was provided by Ford within the 24-hour period as promised. In short: They performed courteously and as was required.

Git a shuttle home, then noon came around and still no call. So I called them and asked how it is going with my vehicle because I need to be back at work at 1:30. The lady said oh I didn't know you needed to go back to work, I'll check to see how they are doing and call you back" I waited for the call till 12:45 and still no call. So I called back and explained again. So then finely the tech came while she was in the phone with and and said that they can't fix the problem because warranty won't cover it and it will cast over $250 to fix it. Then started blaming the dealer I got the vehicle from that they had done something wrong. I waited for the shuttle and got to Mohawk Ford and they explained the same thing in person as they did on the phone. Was late to work because they didn't get my vehicle checked till I called them!! I contacted the dealer I got my vehicle from and had to bring it all the way there over an hour drive to be told it is just a wire the is open and can be fixed no problem. So a whole day wasted with Mohawk Upper James for nothing!!

I had towed my company truck towed because it was not working. I was told the service technician was going to plug into the computer scanner to find out what the issue was. I was told initially the starter and battery needed to be replaced. I agreed, my employee drove the truck home. Next day not working again. Called back ford and we were told they would have a mechanic stop by the house to assess the issue. We were told the transmission needed to be replaced. At this point I loss all trust after spending $1,000 and still have a truck that is not working. This was unacceptable. After complaining we got no further ahead. I brought the truck to a private mechanic and he did a computer scan and found the issue immediately. It was a range sensor that needed to be replaced and not the starter and battery. MOHAWK FORD WAS FISHING for the problem and tried to get us to pay more when they DECEIVED us from the beginning . The people working at this dealership are SCAMMERS!! Worst experiencing ever. I fully understand why more people are avoiding dealerships. I would strongly recommend NOT TO USE their services.

For the longest time that I could remember I was a ford hater but Mohawk ford was the start to that change. I live in Cambridge and was having bad luck car shopping and was in Hamilton for the weekend. I thought what's there to lose so I stoped by and talked to Adam (sorry if the name is wrong I'm bad at names and I lost your card lol). I told Adam what I needed and that if I went with a ford it would be from a lot in the Waterloo region because Hamilton is a bit of a drive for me. I expected no help after that point because I was telling him he's not making a sale but he went on to show me the escapes and answered all my questions and treated me as if I was like any other customer. Out of the 6 or 7 test drives I went on i was the most excited after the one in the escape. Adam wasn't pushy about making a sale (neither were the guys at parkway ford in Waterloo, must be a ford thing) and I have since traded in my old Pontiac torrent for the 2017 ford escape se and haven't looked back since. I love the car and the experience I had at both ford dealerships. I would like to thank Adam for kick starting my love for ford and for giving me the best service he could.

Very frustrated with the ongoing transmission problems on my 2013 Ford Focus Titanium. It has been "serviced" numerous times but the issues of shuttering and hesitating persist. Had a bit of a mix up with my snow tires. This was dealt with by recognizing how much trouble that was for me and by offering a real cost concession. I was very glad about that. Earlier paragraph is from end of last year. Had my summer tires put on the other day, Apr. 23rd. Shuttle service very helpful in making it a productive day. That was last year. This year, on April 22, 2020, during the COVID - 19 shutdown, they managed to bring my tires in, get them installed and do an oil change. Due to practical issues, I was not able to wait inside, get a ride home, nor go to a local restaurant. That will be something one has to consider, wherever one goes for services at this time. Since, I had the first appointment of the day, I only had to wait a little over an hour. There was strict adhesion to pandemic protocols. The oil change portion was cheaper than I expected. I remain at four stars simply because there is nothing after 5, but I have absolutely nothing to complain about.

With at at least 6 holes to secure it ...I discover it was hanging on with only one Clip... What happened to all the clips!!!!!

Recently purchased a used vehicle from a gentleman who used to take his SUV here for service. An oil change was performed here earlier this year. When I went to change the oil myself, the drain plug was over-tightened and nearly impossible to remove. The bolt was rounded. I ended up having to buy a replacement oil drain plug from my local Ford dealer and a bolt removal kit to remove the rounded bolt. This is why I hate going to shops for basic maintenance like oil changes and tire rotation..the techs doing these basic tasks are generally underpaid, don't care about torquing bolts to spec, and have a tendency to over-tighten everything.

I've been going to Mohawk Ford for some years now and they usually have great service/customer service. My only complaint as of recently is that I got an oil change and noticed I had an oil leak some weeks after. Checking my oil level it was extremely low. I go in to Mohawk Ford to get it looked at and they said the problem was that the oil filter was loose so they tightened it. So in conclusion their service technician that did my oil didnt tighten the oil filter enough which could have caused problems from lack of oil. Luckily there was no damage to the engine that I know of. Update: I was contacted by Mohawk Ford and the issue was addressed. I was sent a certificate for a free oil change. Great customer service. Aside from the certificate I'm glad that they cared enough about the issue to address it. All I wanted to do is ensure that future mechanics ensure everything is done safely so these things dont happen. Overall very pleased.

Just writing to say that I was not pleased with the service I had yesterday on a simple oil change. I am not usually one to complain but I don't think I will be returning to your dealership. When a technician can't take an extra 15 seconds per wheel to even attempt to loosen a stuck valve stem cover it gives me zero confidence they will be able to diagnose any problems with my vehicle. Not just throw his hands in the air when a valve stem cover is any tighter than finger tight and make zero attempt to loosen it and send me home with a tire with 16 psi in it and a screw in it (which I knew about but he missed) Not the safest I would say. And did not recommend a remedy or offer to schedule any time to try and fix my tire. Just basically said thanks, see you later.

Initial service was great. The problem was to check for a gas line leak and to fix the purge valve. All was good on the first day. However, since this work was done the battery light now comes on several times a day and as of today the A/C once turned on stays on and cannot be turned off. What's going on? Coincidentally, the very next day the alternator when and was deteriorating rapidly and Mohawk Ford quickly and politely handled my frustrations and worry as a commuter and had my truck repaired as soon as brought it in. Went in for air bag recall on Thursday, Made arrangements for friend to pick me up as it was supposed to take about 4 to 6 hours, 3 hours after I got home there was a call my car was ready. I picked it up the next afternoon and drove it home, Next morning I realized that steering wheel was not lined up right. I called service dept back and they asked I bring car back in afternoon. I get there and they said mechanic who did my car was off until Monday and they wanted him to correct his mistake. I wasn't happy but agreed to bring it back at 1 o'clock Monday and after waiting an hour or so I finally got my car back and fixed properly. About a month ago I brought my car in for an oil change and they confirmed it would be 45 minutes. It took nearly 1.5 hours and nobody informed me during my wait, I had to go to them. When I did go to them (at the 1.25 hour mark) a service advisor said to me that the car was done but that he would not finish my paperwork, the other advisor would, but that she was not at the desk. When I was called back 20 minutes later by her, their “apology” was a $2.00 discount. (The same $2 discount they offer when bringing your car back to them for recurring oil changes). I later noticed the “change oil” light notification on my car was not reset, so it chimes every time I start my car. I called them and told the service advisor today that I was unhappy about this and the inconvenience. Her response was to come in and they would reset it for me. Once again, there was no apology or any effort on their behalf to make it right, that’s why I’m writing the review. I’m sure others may have enjoyed their experience, but it seems like if they do something wrong and you’re unhappy with the work, they won’t do much to correct their mistake.

Went in for a scheduled maintenance. Dropped my keys and was told it would take 1hour to 1 1/2 hour. Waited for 2 hours, my truck still isn't done. After 15 min it came out of the service area and was sitting at the parking lot for another 45 min. for the "paper works". I had to leave my job just to get my truck there, it would've been nice if I was offered a ride back to where I'm workin but nope... nothing at all. Total waste of time. Did a good job on the maintenance but customer service needs a lot of work.

On Aug. 28 I had an appointment for a service to my car. Everyone seemed to be friendly and I was promptly greeted and attended to. My car was taken into the garage about 20 minutes after arrival. I elected to wait there for it as there is a nice area with a TV and a coffee machine and water available. I was just getting a basic oil change service which I have had there on many other occasions and as usual I am usually out within an hour. They top up fluid levels, check and air up the tires and lubricate the applicable areas. I was pleased with there service.

My wife went here today simply to pick up a small part for me. By the way, she was carrying our 10 month old baby. The person at the service desk ignored her and kept typing for 5 minutes while my wife was standing there. Then when she finally acknowledged my wife she was incredibly rude and told my wife this is not the part counter, as if my wife should know the place inside and out. Then at the parts counter the person was sarcastic and rude as well. Customer service is a very low priority obviously when you snap at people, make sarcastic remarks, and make them wait while you type for 5 minutes.
