Have been going to Johnston Chrysler for many years now for all my parts and service, they don't know how often as I always get someone else to pick up my stuff for me. First time I got upset at them was this week, I always get the coated brake rotors (primed roters) and they gave me plan steel rotors and I did not realize till a week later when I went to put them on on a Sunday. Not going to lie I was very upset, however Chris from parts or service De-escalated it very quickly and was able to calm me down with his professionalism. We have been looking for a new vehicle for over 4 months and have been to countless dealerships reaching to Toronto and London. My husband was very specific about the vehicle he wanted, either a Chrysler 300 or Dodge Charger RT (don’t ask me why). All the dealers we went to we got bad vibes from— either the vehicle was hyped up online and not what we expected in person or the sales person was way to pushy. We found a few Chrysler 300s at Johnston and my husband agreed to go see them so we made an appt with Terrance. Terrance was absolutely brilliant to deal with. He was direct, honest and answered all our questions that we had. We test drove both 300s and even got to install our baby seat to see what was the best fit for our family. The most important thing for us was Terrance was NOT pushy in the slightest, I think after two hours if we wanted to walk away he wouldn’t have been upset and would have sent us off and still have said have a great day! So if you’re looking for a vehicle at Johnston Chrysler, I would highly recommend Terrance. As well as Sabrina, the finance and insurance manager was fantastic to deal with. I’m originally from Mississauga and the dealerships I went to here were giving me unrealistic payment numbers for the Wrangler I wanted that were much higher than what’s seen online, and all of them were pushing me to buy whatever is on their lot and not what I wanted. I called Johnston and Vince told me to just come and he’ll take care of me after giving me preliminary numbers over the phone. I’ve never had such a smooth experience. (2019 Ram Rebel) Let me tell ya, shopping for my first grown-up truck at Johnston was a hoot! Cheryl went the extra mile by braving the cold and crafting Oscar-worthy "virtual tours" of the truck I wanted. She even took the time to produce 2 more videos of other vehicles for me to compare! When it was time to test-drive, Johnston's Covid policies were easy to manage and appointments were flexible and easy to keep. Sandy expertly handled my financing, and clearly explained all available warranty options. Of course, when I picked up my truck, it was squeaky clean inside and out. I learned later that Cheryl once again braved the cold to remove some splashes of dirt on the truck before I arrived; she clearly takes pride in the vehicles she sells! She also took time to make sure my smartphone was connected properly to the truck. (BTW Cheryl, it works just fine...the boomers figured it out after all). I have been driving the truck for about a month now, and I have had 0 (zero) problems. Actually, "driving" doesn't qualify the amount of fun this thing is. I'll call it “bombing around." Thanks Johnston Chrysler, Sandy, and of course Cheryl! Now go back inside where it's warm!

A 2015 Dodge Ram ProMaster 2500 Diesel. If you are thinking of buying a ProMaster.....DON'T!!!!! Mine has been a lemon from the day I bought it. It has broken down so many times I lost track. I've never had a vehicle towed to the dealership more than this one. After warranty was off, I figure I spent about $4000 to $5000 a year on repairs. Then two weeks ago the lights on the dash went crazy. Took it in and the vehicle needs over $18,000 plus tax of repairs. Seriously! This vehicle would be better used as a boat anchor! I'm done with it! DO NOT BUY A PROMASTER VAN!!!! It's the worst vehicle I have ever owned!

When seeing our bill of sale there was an option that we didn't agree on. When we confronted the manager he said it was part of the fees, however we had to sign a form stating that we did accept it. When asked if we could remove the option he told us that we could but our bill of sale would still be the same as he would add the fees somewhere else. This made no sense to us. Despite this dispute we do love the vehicle and enjoyed our interaction with our sales person Mike V. Thanks for the response Bill, but I still don't get why a Ride Clean tire protection is a mandatory fee?

I paid for a part and was told i would be called when it came in, a month later i followed up And turns out it was never ordered. So they ordered it and i had to wait another month for the part. Then when i came in for my appointment time i waited for two hours before realizing my vehicle hadnt even gone in for service yet (i was told it would take 1 hr then though it would be a ten minute job and confirmed i would be in the waiting room). After correcting a financial blunder on their part, I bought a used truck from their Hamilton location. I asked the salesman to have the front wheel alignment straightened out before pickup as it pulls to the left (into oncoming traffic). He said he'd get it done but he didn't'. I took possession thinking it was done...now it's my responsibility. I know it's my fault for not double-checking, but I trusted them to be honest about their work. Thanks for the reply. I'll bring it in & see if we can get that rectified. Update: The truck has been in on two separate occasions to have the wheel alignment checked. The dealership paid for the alignment, I paid by missing work for 3 hours per visit (too far for shuttle ride). The truck still drifts to the left if you let go of the steering wheel. My arm gets fatigued from fighting it on long drives. I'll call again today to see what the next steps are. Update Oct16: I’m really starting to regret this purchase. On the 4th attempt to fix the steering, the check engine light came on just before taking the technician for a ride. Turned out to be some sort of fuel sensor. Today the driver side “auto up” window function quit...for crying out loud what’s next? I don’t even think it’s been 30 days yet. Update Nov1: All items repaired at dealer's expense.

Nothing was upgraded, waited over the time and had to ask for the car which was done and no one notified me. No communication between the staff to ensure consistency with quotes and information. Building on my husband's review below, I want to stress how fantastic our Sales Specialist, Vince, was! Vince was transparent and knowledgeable. He had a great sense of humour and was very personable, but maintained incredible professionalism throughout our experience. Vince went above and beyond in ensuring that the Jeep we purchased met (and exceeded!) all of our family's needs. At no point did my husband or I feel pressured by Vince to make a purchase, nor did we feel that he was trying to "up-sell" us into a car we didn't want or features we didn't need. Over the course of a couple visits, we were able to test-drive multiple vehicles, and had the opportunity to really get a feel for the Jeep line-up before finalizing our purchase. Vince was very patient and accommodating as I (regularly) asked, "just one more question" - before he'd playfully rebut, "just one?" As an aside - as a female consumer, I've been flat-out ignored by auto-salesmen in the past. Vince spoke equally to my husband and I throughout the entire purchase process, and regularly solicited my feedback. That was hugely appreciated. My first new vehicle and I’m more than please! Bill Johnston is a great man! He hooked me up with a gorgeous 2020 ram sport that I’m more than happy with! There was a large scratch on the tailgate before I picked it up so I called their friendly staff and they addressed it immediately and before my pick up. Air Conditioning Repair for 2012 Dodge Caliber I had taken my car to the service department at Johnston to repair the air conditioning which was blowing hot air. It had been diagnosed (wrongly, as it turned out) by another repair shop saying it needed a “pcm”, which could only be programmed by/at a dealership. Mike, the technician in the service department did a very thorough job going to the root of the problem and discovered that the problem was in the electrical system, something to do with a grounding issue. I am thankful and grateful that he talked me out of replacing the pcm., which I had purchased. The problem for me is the way the billing is done at the dealership. The initial diagnosis was supposed to be $100. When the problem could not be discovered, it was open ended time until it could be solved. It was as if the clock started as soon as I handed my keys to the service department until they decided when to stop the clock. So I ended up paying over $500. This is in addition to an equal amount paid to the previously mentioned repair shop, most of it in labour charges. At the end of the day, I got my air conditioning fixed, but at a price far more than what I liked. Kudos also to Service Advisor Ben and Manager Jeff.

Posting on behalf of my wife (who isn’t up with the tech savvy stuff) who has had nothing but issues/bad luck with the service department. The sales reps who sold us the fiat was great but 8 months ago we had a headlight changed (which the review has since been removed or I can’t find it) and the tech left a few of the clasps completely broken and no one notified us and it was completely noticeable when she got home. She wanted to give them another shot and this time she had regular maintenance and what looks to be the air filter which is a long plastic piece covering it was completely broken like someone took a screwdriver to it. We went to a local shop and they were very friendly and fixed it for us and I asked her to not go back.

This is my 7th truck, I owned Fords and a Toyota. This Ram Classic totally shocked me. I was NOT a Mopar fan before now. Then a few friends and my brother bought Ram.
