I usually take my car for service to VW dealership, so when I moved here I took to VW dealership for checkup. I had a check engine light, they took it in and after charging 250 they told, its fixed, the light came back with in a km of me driving it. When I took it back to ask what is going on, they told changed the engine. A local mechanic fixed it for me for less than 500. I feel knowledge of the technician is very low and they really dont care about customers with old car. I would highly not recommend car service from this car dealership. Again, this review is just for service department, I have no recommendation on their sales department.

I am giving 4 stars because I fell as though I really had to fight to have a defective tire replaced after getting a flat on the highway. My lease was about 2-3 months in when this happened, would've been nice if it was obvious that they saw the safety issue and offered to replace the tire right from the get go.

I just had my first service experience with Alaina my advisor and Brad my technician. I was thouroughly impressed from check in to pick up. Alaina was knowledgeable, friendly and kept me informed throughout the day. All my concerns were addressed with no issues whatsoever. Brad the technician that worked on my car was extremely professional and knowledgeable as well. I had brought my car to another VW, and my concerns "could not be duplicated" even though I had video's. When I asked Alaina if I could show a Technician my issues, she promptly brought out Brad, and the knowledge and expertise that young man showed was impeccable. Called today to see about an oil change as I was due. I spoke with Keisha who took all my information and created my appointment and then passed me over to Kevin the service advisor who got my golf taken care of. He mentioned how the mats I had in my car were unsafe and could get stuck under my break or gas petal. I spoke with parts and they hooked me up with some nice rubber mats and new wipers as mine were causing problems! I also even scored a key cover as well! By far best experience and my car seems like it handles better than before.

My wife and I gave this dealership two separate times in the past 4 months to sell us new vehicles. Both times we ended up purchasing elsewhere. I would like to give them the benefit of doubt however I caution individuals interest about this dealership. As young professionals my wife and I were not given the time of day. From having to actively seek out help from employees sitting down at their desks to not even listening to what you would like. Do your self a favour and make a short drive to St. Catherine's where the staff are night and day friendlier and much more customer friendly.

I have to say this dealership has the most amazing staff, Joe (who works in the mechanic area) and I think and hope his name is Jeff (who is a mechanic) both of them have helped me (Jeff who worked on my love, my beetle) as well as James who works the sales floor. These people are absolutely amazing. Not many people like going into a dealership (cha Ching) or taking ur car into the mechanic (cha cha cha ching), but Joe and Jeff will make it fun albeit cars are expensive, they will still make ur stay fun and welcoming and they are the nicest people I have met in a long while. James is the man to buy ur car from, kind, honest and will ALWAYS keep u up to date on ur purchase (if u have to wait because it’s coming fresh from the factory). He put up with ALOT from me and always answered me with a smile, truly amazing. The other staff who I haven’t yet met although have seen in passing are ALWAYS kind and welcoming. This dealership is amazing and all these people should be recognized, good service is hard to come by.

Several of my colleagues recommended Hamilton VW because they were treated very well and noted the ease of doing business with them. On my first contact, I explained the parameters of the lease that I hoped for. Within a day, the sales team presented me with several options that were better than expected. I brought in my Q7 for a light bulb change which other dealerships quoted me 500 this dealership quoted me 300 they got me in they change my light I also had an issue which at the other dealership I was told that the Gap in my Dash is normal...; however when I did address my concern to Hamilton Audi ... right away they look at it and they actually fix it for me..... My fiance and I went into the Audi dealership to check out the Q5 . We have done extensive research in this vehicle. After entering we were quickly approached and given a tour of the Q5 and Q7. The salesman was nice enough. But did not make any effort to give a run down on options and how things work. He seemed more interested in telling us about all the cash deals they were doing at the dealership. We also felt that there was an assumption we could not afford this car. Needles to say we are happy with the purchase of our new Volvo XC60. The service there was amazing. Very classy not pushy. High class service down the road. Lesson learnt. Never "assume" what people can or cannot afford.

I had a great experience with VW Hamilton to get my wife's Golf car. We got a 2018 golf for a good deal. We felt well taken care of by Vanessa who addressed our needs and helped us choose the appropriate plan for our lease. Because we are Muslims they tried their best to make sure that we don't pay monthly interest and pay it upfront as a down payment, which was huge as it has been difficult for us to find a dealer who addresses this appropriately. We were surprised that they were aware of this issue and offered it before we even discussed payment. The whole experience was great. I would definitely recommend working with Vanessa who is an amazing salesperson and a lovely person. Thanks for all your hard work!!

Visited to research a specific model. Very nice showroom, clean, uncluttered, bright, lots of windows. The model I came to see was on display and a salesperson asked if I needed help. I had a technical question they had to quickly look up. The salesperson was knowledgeable and friendly. I asked for a brochure and was given a photocopy, which is too bad. It was a worthwhile visit and I came away with a positive opinion of Volkswagen. I had been worried that the vehicle I'm interested in is not made in Germany. I'm still a bit worried about quality. This was something the salesperson was unable to speak to.

Best experience ever - Tammy Mansfield Once my previous car died I was worried about how difficult it was going to be finding a new vehicle (I can admit I’m very picky and stubborn when picking something like a car out) and how many sales people I was going to have to deal with to find the right one; but in the end once I met Tammy, I was worry-free. She was so helpful, patient and understanding throughout the whole process of searching, test driving and making sure it was just the right vehicle for me. Purchased a Golf GTI Rabbit and worked with Zak and Rosanna. What a pleasant experience. This is how car sales should be done. We knew what we wanted for a car. No games, no high pressure tactics, and even the finance manager didn't push me on the extended warranty or add-ons (a very pleasant surprise after my previous car purchase at a different dealership). Haven't had to go in for any service yet so I can't speak to that but the sales experience here was top notch.

Called today (June 16, 2020) for an emergency appointment and they would not take me in. My car is barely driveable due to a tire problem. All I needed was them to take off a Wheel Lock on the front left tire and the Service Rep refused. Said I could drop off my car and it may take them a week to look at it. WORST SALES STAFF EVER!!! Was interested in purchasing a 2021 Atlas. James, one of their sales reps, helped me out. Offered me a quote via email. I tried to negotiate the price to ensure I was getting the best deal. He responded with "good luck". I got the Sales Manager, John, involved because of James' lack of customer service and quite frankly lack of respect. James then proceeded to raise his quote by $80/month and was requiring an additional $2000 down payment. He said he made a mistake the first time around. That's a really expensive mistake. I shopped around and another dealership was beating his price by $30/month and no money down which is what I told him we needed. James said "if you found a better price and that's going to make your family happy, then go buy it there." Called and emailed the owner of the dealership, Chris, because I had his details from previous issues I have had at this dealership. Giving them the opportunity to earn the business. To this day has not responded to my calls nor emails. Purchased the vehicle at another dealership for a better price and we were treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. Will never step foot in the Hamilton dealership again! Avoid yourselves the headaches. Shop elsewhere!

Have been a loyal customer for many years without an issue. I even recommended this place to lots of others. But last 2 visits have sadly made me decide to move on to another VW dealer. Took my vehicle for winter tire swap and routine check up -which includes doing a check on exterior lights - told them that the light out indicator came on and off, they said they'd check. Leave and a day later light is back on - it's a cornering light so not end of world but still should've been checked properly. Then a week later I notice the emergency brake is very loose (i hardly drove it) So car goes back in to shop, tired get swapped basic check done. And the emergency brakes and a light don't work. Ok these things can happen. Emergency brake gets fixed - and it needs new calipers (ouch) - light gets replaced. I notice they charged me again for the labour for the lights (after I paid for Labour for an inspection that they clearly didn't do) Next day light still doesn't work. Call in a bit ticked and the instinct of receptionist is to tell me this happens and that the maintenance check I did was just for oil change. I read her out the description of what supposed to be included and she then says lights go out all the time. I say but why am I coming in a 3rd time to pay again. She again says it was just an oil change. It seems they advertise for more services than they do. Maybe it's coincidence that all this happens after a visit, maybe it's coincidence another bulb (looks to be same one) goes 24hrs after I leave. But I say why stay with a place who's coincidences cost me money and time. Oh and I just noticed they never billed anything to my extended warranty.

Let me say first that the work done our vehicle was wonderful however in payment for the services rendered is where the nightmare started. We were charged 3 times from our account because of a POC sale error. The money was then debited back into Our account which would have solved the problem. However the next day the money was then withdrawn again, without our permission. We then called them to advise them Of their error, we understand that mistakes happen. They advised us that the money was not taken out!!?? Seriously we are looking at our account and they debited our account. We went to our bank to get proof For them so they could pay us back our money. They still would not believe us nor pay us back. This incident has been escalated through the bank and through the company. Please be careful when paying at this location because they seriously do not know what the heck they are doing! ????????????

Hamilton Volkswagen did nothing but disappoint me. Everything from the sale to the service was off-putting. I hope as many people as possible read this and educate themselves before making the same mistake I did. Let's begin with their sketchy sales tactics. Don’t get me wrong everywhere you look you will find that Volkswagen vehicles to be a higher standard all around. All together Great Cars. However, this dealership prides themselves to this "Certified Pre-owned Volkswagen" program that ended up being nothing more than a HALF FILLED piece of paper signed by one of their mechanics. Literally a list of criteria with holes in it. What do these empty cells mean? Not tested? Not interested? not your problem? Sales person declares cars to be on this program be above and beyond. With such thorough testing you can be sure to take these cars no problem.... well. The car was given to me half full and turns out the last 8th of the tank of gas does not register that it has fuel in it. in other words the car can be Full and the tank shows on the dash as missing fuel. this can be a potential problem for long distance commuters if there’s a bigger problem that’s not registering the right amount of fuel. We will get to that later. Short after everything looked great and I signed my first set of paperwork. I find myself on a shady and bumpy road with these people. I send my girlfriend over the next day for a test drive and she falls in love wants the diesel Jetta as well. Tell me how within 24 hours they give her a better rate. Is it because she’s white and I'm not? they went with- it was the year of the vehicle. I was picking up a 2013 and she was getting a 2014. So immediately I am alarmed. I look online and reach out. Turns out they have another "Certified Pre-Owned" Jetta. I say -hey can we cancel on the other car and do this other 2014 Jetta you have in your lot. They come back to me saying NO its not certified. I come back saying YES actually it’s on your website. Suspiciously the car is sold with CASH the next day when I went to confront them. They manage to get me on some kind of a deal and give my girlfriend my referral bonus .. why her? she didn’t do anything. I gave them that referral. I fill up my Jetta for the first time and it didn’t register as Full. I contact the salesperson, Ramy, he says he consulted a “technician” and that I am not filling it enough (just after a series of redundant questions)that somehow I’m doing something wrong. After being sick of that, I contact their service manager about the tank. He referred me off to Milo the pre-owned vehicle manager that referred me back to service to book an appointment. First appointment I show up after work the mechanic says he won’t look at it it has to be done during the day. Says sorry appointment shouldn’t have been booked in the first place.I book another appointment DURING THE DAY and i drop the car around 10. I miss work and find that it is 4:30 and no one has looked at my car yet. They ask me if I can leave it overnight. No, I have to work. Now I’m frustrated and contact their service manager once again he assures me if I book another appointment they will deal with my car. Third time's the charm. I can't miss any more work so I had him assure me that my mother would be able to get a loaner vehicle for that day while I take hers to work. We show up and guess what? no loaner available. They call me and say they think they fixed my car but to check if they did I need to pay extra.... Well no I just got this car you expect me to pay to see if it was fixed? do your technicians not know how to tell. Surprise, they did not fix my tank. I am not happy with this investment. Service people there are a JOKE and 'Certified Pre-Owned" is a mix of "what they can't see won’t hurt them" and "don't as too many questions". They will never get another sale from me or anyone that knows me. Service will never see our Jetta’s ever again. The only decent person in this whole building is Derek from finance. Derek you deserve better than that place.

I have an electronic problem with my Atlas and have to leave it at the dealership for repair. Service advisor, Ron Miranda, was very friendly and helpful. He kept me informed of the status all the time. Mechanic, Mark Mulchay, was very skillful. The problem was quite complicated. Mark spent a lot of time in diagnostic and contacted VW Canada technical support for additional information. He finally was able to identify the root cause and replace the faulty parts. Although the process was longer than I was expected, I was happy to see my car repaired just in time for my trip. Great job, service team!

I leased a 2020 Jetta from James and the process was great, no pressure sales tactics. The car is great, and as expected. My only recommendation is that when the dealership is cheap enough to add a $40 fuel charge onto the bill for a new car, they should actually fill the car and not leave it with less than half a tank when they've had over a week to get the car ready.

Told again when checking in. Shuttle ride home very pleasant. Called to ask if it was a good time to pick me up when it was done. Invoice was as expected. They went through what they had done to my car with me. Told me what to expect at the next one. Great dealership, from when I first went there and purchased my vehicle to every service. I’ve been to this dealership now 3 times for service on my Jetta and each time I’m waiting almost half a day for the service to be completed. Today I had an appointment at 9am, just for an oil change, called them at 10:30 asking when it would be ready and they told me within an hour, I came back at 12:00 to pick it up and they still hadn’t finished it, as a matter of fact they had just started it. I’ve been patient and understanding each time but this is completely unacceptable. It is poor service to make your customers wait a ridiculous amount of time without even calling them to update them. Will not be coming back here anymore.
