Here you have the reviews of real people who purchase the services of Eastgate Ford Sales (Car Concessionaire) near Hamilton (Canada).
Currently the business has a rating of 4.4 out of 5 and that score is based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average of ratings that it reaches is high, and it's founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the valuation is quite reliable. If many people have bothered to give their opinion when they've done well with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to put evaluations when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Car Concessionaire belongs to the category of Car dealer.
Thanks to Brian Echlin for going above and beyond for a family member who just purchased a Ford Explorer Platinum…we are all appreciative of his attention to detail and sense of humour!
Very friendly service and met my overall plans for trade in and used car purchase. Showroom has some really cool old classics worth seeing. I would go back there for sure. I did have an issue with poor brakes that didn't get satisfactory resolution, so I fixed them myself. Still happy.
Austin was great. Not pushy and got and gave me what I wanted. He said my new 2020 f150 was 8 to 10 weeks and he came through. I would recommend going to see him to buy a new vehicle. The show room and dealership was clean. Sales manager was very nice.
Great service department! They take care of us well, and we have multiple company and personal vehicles from them. We love their caring team! The sales department is professional and caring. They look after the details and don't pressure us. Recommending this dealership to family and friends!
I needed my.muffler.fixed they took me in the same day and wait time was an hour. Very friendly staff. Great service.
I will never go back here! The customer service is absolutely atrocious!!! My husband brought my vehicle in for safety recall and was treated so badly that is made him have to call into work. They "forgot" about him for over an hour for the shuttle, even though the shuttle was there the entire time, he sat and waited and was late for work, ultimately having to call in sick that day because of this. My husband has spent thousands at this dealership specifically! The customer service made the shuttle mistake and never even apologized to him! They were terrible to him, according to him! When I contacted Ford about this, they did not return my messages or phone calls! Dealerships are generally bad for customer service, but this took it to a whole new level!! I'll never return and neither will he!! My vehicle wasn't even properly worked on either, I had to take it to a mechanic the next week! Terrible terrible service!!!!!!!
Thank you all so much! From one business to another we thank each and every one of you for the hard work and care you put into each vehicle. Rick Fraser was a huge help along the way and made everything very easy on our end. We are extremely impressed with the 2019 Shelby GT350 we got from Rick! Thank you once again and we will definitely recommend people to you in the future!
Extremely impressed with the service I got at Eastgate Ford. As a young female I have a hard time finding car places that I can trust but at Ford I was treated with respect and felt very comfortable working with Brain (sales rep) and Robyn (financial services). Brain went above and beyond to make sure my experience was great. After bringing my used vehicle home there were some unexpected issues but Brian continued to help. Brain got my car fixed, and also provided a rental car. Overall, I am very satisfied with my experience and will definitely be returning in the future.
Good and friendly service
Terrible service ! Had my 2019 F150 in for a total of almost 3 full days for the exact same reason each time. The issue was apparently fixed every time - the 'fix' did not last a full day on each occasion. This was warranty work and I had to fight to get a rental car paid for....not the first time I have had issues with a truck purchased here that required warranty work with in the first year or two. Happened with the previous F150 purchased at Eastgate Ford. Things happen and vehicles, even under warranty, need to be fixed, no problem - but based on people I know who own vehicles from different manufacturers .....there never seems to be an issue with customer service, in fact they are offered for warranty work without having to ask. The service technicians were always friendly, helpful, willing to answer questions and patient. However, the service at this location is absolutely terrible based on my current and past truck purchased through Eastgate Ford. They will no longer receive any of my business moving forward. DO NO RECOMMEND
I recently had the pleasure of meeting with Rick Fraser at Eastgate Ford and I walked away with a 2016 Jeep Patriot! Rick provided exceptional customer service and offered a solution for all my concerns. If you're in the market for a new/used vehicle, Rick is the guy! Thanks for all your help!
Used car buying process was relatively easy. No budging on price. Would have given 4 stars but vehicle cleaning/detailing was poor.
I needed a new truck After shopping online and looking at many used trucks I decided to go to Eastgate Ford where I met a wonderful sales consultant Richard Fraser we sat down and he listened to what I wanted we built the f150 I wanted crew cab 6 1/2 foot box 4x4 V8 5.0 LIT 400 HP Engine the power I needed to haul my large fishing boat. Richard also arranged a low interest reasonable monthly payment that I wanted to pay I traded in my used van and money down we came up with a low monthly payment I am very happy with my new Ford F150 4x4 pick up. Thank you Richard Fraser and Sales Manager JD Power for helping get into the Ford F150 truck I wanted. Thanks Ed From Battlefield Plumbing and Heating
I appreciate the friendly nature of the sales and service staff, and purchasing my truck from this location was actually quite enjoyable. Tyler helped me out and did a great job of addressing my need for a truck. My issue is with the service department. I have taken my vehicle here for two oil changes. In general, I would assume a maximum 1 hour wait, especially after booking an appointment ahead of time. The first, in summer 2020, took around 2 hrs, 15 minutes. After justifiably complaining, the service manager admitted that it took too long and provided the service for free, which I appreciated. Thinking this was an isolated event, I returned yesterday for another oil change. This time, it took 2 hrs. I was told that there were only 2 mechanics on duty, which explained the long wait. In my opinion, this is unacceptable. Granted, they cleaned the truck, but at $110 I don't see the value. I will not be returning to this location for future service.
Full service dealership with new and used vehicles. Sales and leasing. Excellent customer service and currently all done with full COVID safety protocol in place!
Just wanted to write a little shout to the team at Eastgate! I don’t write too many reviews but thought it needed to happen this time as my wife and I are so happy with the level of service we received! We had previously looked to buy a Shelby from ED LEARN in St. Catherine’s. We nothing but issues and they were completely unprofessional. We were looking for a collector Mustang and happened to fall on Eastgate Ford Hamilton! From the moment my family and I walked in to the dealership we were treated like family and it felt like all the staff involved in our deal truly cared. RON SCOTT, our sales man, was an absolute all star fallowed up by dealer principal Lance Richter who was easy to talk to, welcoming and knowledgeable in the area of mustangs!!! Lori the business manager was a dream never, she pressured us in anyways to buy the extras and made it a dream to buy our 2020 Mustang Bullitt (meanwhile we bought all the extras great deals as well). I’ve never felt so well taken care of at a dealership - great job team can’t ask for a better place and we will drive the extra 1 1/2hr to buy in the future as well. We can’t thank you enough guys!
Great service and experience with the purchase of my new vehicle from the team at Eastgate Ford. Ron, Ian and Robyn were fantastic to work with ????
Good customer service isn't when everyone is smiling or nice to you, but rather when you have a problem. I had a problem with an order I placed online with this company and despite a difficult start I was taken care of by Rhonda Greenwood, a friendly person that all companies would love to have on their team. She analyzed the situation and came back to me with a solution beyond my expectations. For that, I warmly recommend Eastgate Ford to you and I would like to thank Rhonda for her help in resolving the dispute.
Lance and his team set a standard by which other businesses (not just dealerships) should be run. You find out about a company when there is a problem (no one to blame) and how they show up. They are first class, take ownership and get results. I'm glad I bought my new truck from you and thanks for being a great people to deal with!
Fresh off the line, union made in N.A., and ready for the road. Thank you Eastgate Ford! Shout out to Ron Scott for continued customer service excellence while getting me familiarized with my new vehicle.
Fantastic Service Department staff and performance. Customer Service given by Helen Ke at the Service Desk & Glen (didn’t catch his last name) the Shuttle Driver was exemplary and made me feel genuinely cared about! Amazing ambassadors for your company. Thank You, SO MUCH! These people get it - I started off cranky (coming off night shift without enough sleep ????????) but they turned my attitude right around with their genuinely friendly, caring, attentive, helpful attitudes and actions. I am SO impressed - Kudos to them and the Eastgate Ford Management team … they’re obviously DOING something RIGHT over there! Oh, let’s not forget the mechanics - sadly, it’s not every day that the work gets done correctly… the FIRST TIME. However, their Service Techs found & FIXED the source of an annoying INTERMITTENT problem my truck was having - stalling randomly at intersections. WELL DONE, EASTGATE FORD! You made a believer out of me. Happy New Year to You & Yours
Excellent customer service on my purchasing of a 2021 Escape. Sharon Maynard and Ian provided detailed description and suggestions to ensure I would arrive at a choice suited to myself and my wife. Many thanks to both of them.
Update (June 4th): I received a call from Rick a few days after our visit. He apologized for how he treated us. I wasn't expecting a call, so it was appreciated. Of course I can't help but wonder whether he was forced to make the call or not. I'd like to think it was sincere... Original Review: Visited today with my Fiance to look at and test drive a 2015 Ford Fiesta ST. All was going well with our Salesman, Rick, who was assisting us from the Pre-Owned Centre. I visually inspected the car for overall condition and found both front wheels with horrendous curb rash (along with the right rear wheel with moderate curb rash), all four red-painted calipers in poor condition with about 30% missing paint, multiple long deep scratches on the rear bumper, a 6" wide section of deep vertical scratches on the front bumper next to the left headlight, and both driver and passenger-side front quarter-panels with gouged paint (to the metal frame) - these are all indicators that the car was abused by its original owner(s). The drive went well - I had asked Rick for a recommended highway route, and he gave me three options. We drove for about 15 minutes - stopping to test the audio system out - and returned with Rick outside ready to take us into his office. After a few minutes of sitting down and looking through the CarFax report, we came to the topic of price. I brought up the fact that there are currently four other Fiesta ST's locally with similar age and mileage for $13,500-14,500 and so I asked if the listed price of $17,992 was negotiable with that in mind (on top of the exterior damage to paint, wheels and calipers). Rick told me to say a price. As soon as I said a price ($13,000), Rick raised his voice and accused me of insulting him (as if this little battered '15 Fiesta was his personal pride and joy) and said he hoped we enjoyed our "free joyride." My fiance attempted to point out his unprofessional reaction and he had the audacity to interrupt and argue with her... This is *not* how you react to a potential buyer's offer at any dealership... Was my original offer a bit too low? Probably. But that's how negotiations work. I could not believe to read that Rick has 41 years of service with Ford on their website. Rick - if you don't like an offer, politely decline and end the meeting (or a suggest a more affordable car on the lot). It should have been as simple as that. We will never consider Eastgate Ford for any of our future car purchases after what happened today.
Eastgate ford is a great Ford dealership. Great staff and service.
I bought a TCM part on Sept 22nd, 2021 and still nothing! In the "Shipping Policy" it says that it takes up to 5 to 6 business days, but after I bought a person sent me a message saying that I needed to wait 4 weeks. I agreed to wait and after that he told me 2 more weeks and again I waited patiently, and now he's told me maybe 2 more weeks if I'm lucky, and probably in April 2022 he'll get it. He has never warned me about this possible delay before, as I missed several opportunities to buy from other location! This is completely unacceptable!
I just perches my third vehicle at Eastgate Ford, I can’t be happier with the level of service and great attitude, highly recommend, most definitely I’ll be back for my fourth vehicle at Eastgate Ford.
I live in Windsor, a three hour drive from Eastgate Ford in Hamilton. After thorough research, this dealership had by far the best deal on 2019 Mustangs (between Windsor and Toronto) so for this reason and because I received fantastic service from our sales consultant Greg Van Es, I drove home my new garage buddy today! If you're looking for a client-centered, straightforward approach to car buying, check this place out. If your experience is anything like mine, you won't be disappointed!
very happy with the staff and friendly environment! made my first truck purchase great. They really know how to value their customers here! will be dealing with Eastgate Ford for all my Ford purchases and will recommend to family and friends!
I own a 2018 F150 with less than 50,000 km. In mid December the check engine light came on and the truck began misfiring and running rough. When I slowed or stopped at a stop sign the engine cut out. Took it into Eastgate Ford for service and thankfully this was covered under the 5 - year 100,000km power train warranty. I was told that engine was low on oil and that a defective dipstick had to be replaced. Apparently the original dipstick would show full but in actuality, the dipstick was calibrated incorrectly and it was not fully full. I was assured by Robert the service manager that despite this the oil level was still within an acceptable level. I was further advised that they reprogrammed the engine and something about the solenoid and that I was good to go. I can't say I fully understood the explanation on the repair. On December 30, 2021 around 4pm the exact same issue came up. I called Robert directly and learned that the dealership would be closed the following day and not re-opening until Monday January 3, 2022. While I completely understood that the timing of the holidays was not on my side I was hoping I could leave my truck there and get a loaner or something. Robert told me this was not possible that they didn't do that. Was I being unreasonable.... I thought and Robert new that I just bought a new 2021 Bronco Sport the previous month at his dealership and then purchased the snow tire package from them as well. I figured as a good repeat customer that some concession could be made with a loaner vehicle since the repair they completed didn't last 2 weeks and I was in a jam. I ended up taking the car to another Ford dealership on the Monday as there was no way I was going back to Eastgate. The other Ford dealership fixed the problem and two days later it happened again. Now here is the difference.... The other Ford dealership was apologetic and stated they were going to secure me at no cost a rental car and escalate the issue with my engine with Ford to properly fix it. I didn't have to ask, they offered me a rental car, not a loaner. I had to ask who was paying for this car, was it the dealer or Ford. I was advised it was a combination of both. Apparently each dealership is allotted a certain amount each month for things like rental cars in situations like this. So basically Eastgate being a Ford dealership would have access to the same funds, Robert just chose not to take care of a customer that was servicing his vehicle there and who also one month earlier bought a new Bronco Sport. So while I initially thought I was being unreasonable with my request for a loaner or rental car, Eastgate had the ability to provide me this option. Not good service. Will not go back for service or any new purchases, which is kind of unfortunate for the salesperson that sold us the Bronco Sport, but Robert messed that up for Eastgate.
LOVE LOVE LOVE MY New Ford 2017 Escape - The Service was the best ( thanks to Matt) great salesman - he listens to what you want and finds it for you. The Escape runs great, love all the features. thanks Eastgate Ford for the great experience.
Thank you Chris, our Escape Hybrid purchase could not have gone easier, you made the process so simple and quick, the price was spot on and we're getting the exact vehicle we want. If only all business people understood "customer service" as you do. See you for our next Ford ( the new Bronco looks awesome). Peter.
As a young customer purchasing my first vehicle, it was a very pleasant experience. Even my parents were surprised and happy with the service (they have dealt with several dealerships). Sales rep: Brian was more than happy to help from the moment I arrived to the point of purchasing a beautifully detailed and clean vehicle. I was especially surprised when the owner: Lance came out to talk with me regarding some details about the vehicle models I was looking into. Nearing the end of the process when I was going over documents, I met some of the staff and managers and I could comfortably say the professionalism is 10/10. I was very pleased to see how welcoming and generous their service is. I would happily deal with them again in the future if I'm looking for another vehicle.
Always a pleasure to deal with Rick and Lance! A great place always friendly!
2017 Ford Mustang GT convertible. Nick Byckalo was great, he was professional and relayed my concerns (blown speaker, loose parking brake, rear window off track). Logan got me a good price on the warranty and lower loan rate. Parts department is great and online ordering is convenient. Service department failed to properly diagnose a speaker issue and there is a lack of response from senior dealership staff. 21 April took possession, Nick checked the issues with the speaker, brake, and window. The issue with the window and loose parking brake were solved the next day and I was told the speakers were ordered. 03 May bottom door speakers on both sides replaced. The mid speaker on the driver side still had extremely noticeable distortion. Advised Caitlin the issue was still there. Was told she would speak with used car manager to get approval for the new speaker. 05 May brought car back in to confirm the mid speaker was the issue. I advised Caitlin of going to Edmonton for work and self-isolating 10 days prior to travel possibly needing someone to get the car from my house to have the service completed. 17 May called Caitlin and was told speaker was in but service dept was busy with no way of getting car in before my departure. Was advised that due to travelling out of Ontario, vehicle must wait 2 weeks past return (16 Jun). I didn't have an issue with isolation. Issue was with the mis-diagnostic and being without use of stereo and handsfree calling for 2 months by the time the proper speaker would have been replaced. There was no offer to pick up my car while I was gone or have someone else drop it off. Car could have been picked up and/or dropped off like other dealerships do. I sent an email to Lance Richter voicing praise for some of his staff, and concern regarding service dept. Prior to leaving review I felt it best to bring concern to the service manager as Lance had not responded to 17 May email. I wanted to give the dealership the benefit of the doubt seeing as there may have been a disconnect in communication. Emailed Robert about reaching out to Lance with no response and waiting prior to purchasing the speaker myself. Also advised him when I removed the handle cover, it fell out the instant I placed the panel removal tool behind it without applying any force. Maybe it was already broken from the previous owner or was broken during the replacement of the lower speakers and nobody advised me regardless of when it happened. The broken clip pieces were nowhere to be found when I took the panel off. Roberts response: “Looking at the cover it would indicate that it has been removed several times, which causes the taps to break off. I am assuming that it was broken before we took it off and because we received the car from the previous owner this way, we wouldn’t replace the part if it stayed in place. “ This cover sits behind the door handle and had enough tension to keep it in place, but if parts happen to have broken clips but are not brought to the attention of the owner because they “stay in place”, who knows what other damage already exists or can be done to panels, covers, threaded parts, etc… How many vehicles are being released with parts just staying in place? 5 years ago I had a Toyota and simply mentioned to the service manager at Upper James Toyota that after a service, my windshield washer reservoir cap was left open and oil was spilled over the engine cover, they at least offered me the next oil change on the house. Instead, I spent $80.20 out of pocket to properly fix the speaker and replace the cover myself I can't trust my vehicles to be serviced at Eastgate. I just wanted at bare minimum a response with some guarantee that in future there will be a better attention to detail and quality control. Blown speaker was extremely noticeable and should have never been missed by a professional service dept with proper troubleshooting and quality control.
I dealt with Greg Van Es. Although because of personal circumstances I was unable to purchase my first mustang he was very easy to deal with and reassuring. I also met the owner who took a couple minutes out of the day to talk about mustangs. I have already raved about the eastgate team at work. I initially went there for there selection and pricing but I will purchase when I'm ready because of the people. Thanks Eastgate! See you soon. .
Took delivery of a new 2021 F150 this weekend. Inventory and price is what drew me to Eastgate Ford. My sales consultant Ron Jegeris was top notch. The entire transaction, trade and sale was carried out online. Ron ensured a seamless process from start to finish with great communication. Well worth our drive from Ottawa.
nice service and good place ????
I had a front airbag recall back in june but had to call to make sure the part was in ,took 4 months ,got it done, staff very friendly
Who ever is looking for an honest and amazing sales person my husband and I highly recommend Matthew Shift!!! He was amazing and made sure our purchase on the 2020 Ford Explore was one we would always remember. He never made us feel neglected and even when he was busy he made time for us. The place was super clean and very welcoming! We appreciated feeling very important! My husband and I went to 4 other Ford dealerships but this one was different as the customer service was above and beyond. If you want a smart and honest sales rep. go see Matthew Shift, we promise you won’t regret it!
Had a great experience with Rick and Lance, they were friendly, low pressure, and gave me good value for my trade-in. Would highly recommend. Worth going just to see their vintage Bronco!
