Another Brick in the Wall

When my son was looking for a new vehicle, he asked that go with him to assess a few. Not surprised he went back to DeWildt Chrysler but I hadn't been there in a several years and looked forward to see where his interests were. The interaction and process with Mike, Jordan and Mark was very relaxing and informative. They offered excellent suggestions of the different vehicles considered based on their product knowledge. At that point I knew my son was in good hands and that whatever the decision it would be great and, more importantly, he would be taken care of going forward. So I'd like to thank you three, Mike, Jordan and Mark, on helping him with the purchase of a new Ram 1500 Sport. Of course, I'll have to borrow it once in a while too. All the best guys.

Bought a 2017 Ram 1500 in the spring from Rick. It was a great experience. Rick is always very warm and welcoming. Recently, my truck went in for service. The guys at Dewildt did a great job and even did an amazing cleaning on the exterior. Looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. I would highly recommend Dewidlt Chrysler as my experience was more than satisfying compared to other dealerships I have dealt with in the past with previous vehicles. My salesman Josh, was friendly and knowledgeable making me feel comfortable about my purchase. I had a small hiccup with the vehicle purchased and after informing Josh he was quick to take it up with the service department and had the problem taken care of within a couple of days. Similar experience as Thomas below. Service department never completes all the work needed and doesn't check schedule ahead of time to ensure parts have arrived prior to customers scheduled appointment. This result in multiple repeat visits and wasted time of customers!! Currently they have my vehicle for warranty work since i refuse to take it back until ALL work is complete - after showing up for an appointment for the 3rd time (same issues that never get finished) and then being told they don't even have the part yet again to complete the repair. Wanting me to take my Jeep back and return to their dealership another day to complete the work! This dealership is 45 minutes away from my house and after 3 times for the same things. I will not pick up my Jeep until work is completed! They have given me a rental for the time being but I leave on Saturday for a week holiday and have been waiting over 24 hours for a response from the service department on what is to happen while i am away for a week. Since google reviews are all anyone cares about anymore maybe my emails will be responded to now.

When I purchased I got a used 2015 Journey and the deal was pretty rushed by the sales rep. I then got sold an extended warranty provided by Chrysler. The Journey didn't have Bluetooth and they didn't check to see that components inside the vehicle actually worked. The vehicle made noise when it started up in the winter and less than 4 days of having it and I need to buy a new battery for the key fob. I then called back to see about cancelling the warranty a few weeks later and who I believe to be the receptionist laughed regarding the whole situation about cancelling the warranty. I wouldn't suggest this place, and I wouldn't come back either. I even asked about snow tires because they had a deal was going on and the rep couldn't care less since he already made his sale.

As you would expect from any other Chrysler Dodge Jeep service points, they will attempt to fix the problems but there's a very likely chance that you will need to return for a second or even third tune-up since they strictly subscribe to the belief "not going too deep into it and hope to god that the problem will solve itself" which is understandable LOL eventually you will get the issue resolved but just don't hold your breath the first time

I’ve been to multiple ram dealers, and these guys were by far the best to deal with. Everyone knows what’s going on and they go the extra mile for service. I dealt with Ray most recently, he was able to squeeze my truck in to take care of a time sensitive issue right away, and was extremely professional throughout the process. I wasn’t waiting around for any extra time, the issue was taken care of diligently and I was on my way. Highly recommend these guys if you live in the Hamilton area.

I brought the truck in … it was three months out of warranty “in the years” not “the mileage” and they were going to do a goodwill for the issue ((note: we chose to pay for it and use the “Goodwill” if necessary within another three months time frame if anything came up Re: because the item that needed repair/warranty was not a large dollar amount)) … They ordered the part necessary … it was done on time and well… Please note this was not our previous experience in this department the last experience was a nightmare but they have basically replaced their team in the service/repair department????????… they are a great group/team … I highly recommend them… Secondly… Justin Ciprietti Was the sales representative we were introduced too to “”just get a value on another vehicle for a possible future trade in”” … He was personable, knowledgeable, respectful And “not pushy”… Thank you Justin… the purchase of the 2021 Fully loaded Warlock was an absolute wonderful experience… it was an absolute pleasure working with you and I highly recommend you!! Had a breakdown with our 2017 Trailhawk. The staff at Dewildt advised how to proceed (Jordan and Jeff). Roadside assistance was prompt and covered. Within a week, my unique problem was diagnosed, and all new parts installed. The work was covered without question as was a rental car, which apparently is not always covered depending on your warranty package. Dewildt didn't hesitate simply telling me they will put me in a rental. Extremely happy with the professional care Andre LaFontaine and Charlotte Hartwell displayed. Update 2 months later, our "brand new" 2019 Cherokee has had the bumper** and AC coil replaced already. Defects happen and minor blemishes happen during manufacturing I get that but the service at Dewildt Chrysler is just plain embarrassing, 1st trip they just refiled the coolant in the AC without finding leak... blemish on bumper not even looked at. 2nd trip crack in AC coil discovered, coil replaced machine that does coolant broken, bumper can't be fixed need replaced next appointment booked for coolant and to install new bumper.... 3rd trip get loaner car coolant replaced...get rear ended in loaner car, service center more concerned about 5k deductable then my fiance... Hours to sort out insurance and repairs so ask one last time if we need rental car from insurance.... 2 hour later were informed they don't even have new bumper for appointment they booked... I will never have my car serviced at Dewildt again or any other dealer ship. Got our brand new 2019 Cherokee from Dewildt after a bad experience with another Chrysler dealer. Our experience with Dewildt was great and we got 0% financing just under the wire! The sales team were great and made it a very easy to get the car we wanted. Trade in process was easy and I felt both parties got a good deal. Would recommend for anyone looking for a new vehicle.

Service there is first rate when it comes to my Service Adviser Ray and Jeff the Parts guy, they get a 5 Star rating all the way. "Added since Reply". That's Odd, Prior to asking to return I had never been told about any incident and was not aware I ever had a complaint while I was on your property but I guess you couldn't have thought to just ask me to not do that while I was on the property? Clearly the upfront management has some communication issues. Too bad, Even great service isn't worth that kind of disrespect sir.

Worth the 8 hour drive!! 2 years ago I bought a car at DeWildt Chrysler, but since then, am now living in Timmins. So I figured I should shop local, as Hamilton is a far drive (8 hours) away. I checked out the local Chrysler in town as well as two dealerships in Sudbury - which soon became extremely disappointing as it didn't seem like anybody cared about my business or wanted to give me the time and day. This was not something I was use to, as my previous experience (with DeWildt) was the total opposite of this. What I had wanted to do with my car seemed impossible and this left me extremely disappointed. I didn't trust the information I was receiving, I needed a second opinion. So I reached back out to Jordan, who had helped me with my previous purchase. Within a minute of talking to Jordan I knew I was going to make the drive to Hamilton for a new car. Jordan had no worries or any doubts in his mind about what I wanted to do and he made it happen. Within a couple days a decision was made, and I was on my way to pick up my new Jeep! WORTH THE DRIVE - thank you again, Jordan and everyone at DeWildt and for yet another 5 star experience. I have no doubts in my mind, I will be back for any future car needs.

I was inquiring about the silver Hyundai Genesis coupe that they had and I strongly suggest to stay away. First off the salesman I spoke with was nothing but a snake. He wasted a 1 1/2 drive to Hamilton so I could find out the car had multiple issues including, broken tail lights, in responsive centre screen, paint and rust chips as well as dents and a brake pad that was sticking as well as tires with no tread. This was all of course after he told me the car was in great condition and was a bargain. I strongly advise to bring a mechanic like I did to make sure they don’t try and scam you.

How do I give you a minus rating?!? This is what happens when you bring your vehicle to Dewildt to have it "repaired." I originally brought my car in to have the ball joint and stabilizer bar swapped out, I even provided the parts, still cost a fortune by the end of it all. After my THIRD visit I picked up my car with more issues then when I brought it. The mechanic even told me to my face that while he was "test driving" it these warning lights came on! HA HA give me a break!!! The manager was even there during this phase and he just said, "do you want to have that looked after now too?" I was trying to process what I was being told and went back to the waiting room. I went back and questioned again how my vehicle can be in their care and it come back with more problems? The response I got was, "its a coincidence these things happen." That is such BS! I was told my work would be an hour or an hour and a half every visit and turned out to be minimum of 5 hrs a session! Wasted more time sitting around there. I am a separated father and missed time with my kids on two occasions because I was stuck in their lobby waiting. That is time I cannot get back with my kids. You stole precious time I was supposed to be sharing with my sons due to your shady business. The manager agreed to replace my ABS sensor for free at least. I brought it in for the FOURTH time to have my issues corrected. He told me to bring him a list because there was a lot that was "fixed' while in that shop! -ABS sensor magically broken under their watch -Blind spot / safety assist function not working now ($1,800 fix) -Glove Box was wrecked and just flies open when used - Suspension wrecked when Stabilizer/Ball joint was worked on causing the tire to rumble and clunk while driving (This was something I told them I wanted looked at and fixed on the FOURTH visit because they induced this problem. It was not fixed. They tried to tell me the snow tires were too big for the car. I had them on all last year without a problem. They just would not own up to the fact that their technician fu**ed it up when working on the car. I was told another $400 to fix this issue. I was already $1,500 invested and 20 HRS of waiting at this point.) When questioned why they didn't notice this when they put the tires back on they said, "we never had the tires off and did not notice it." ANOTHER LIE! I then mentioned they had the tire off to fix the ball joint. How is that possible? No worthy response given. To top this all off, I had someone pick the car up today because I do not trust them to complete any of the rest, things they have induced even, because I am at work all day someone had to get it.... the Manager said a balance of over $350 was owing for some parts and a coolant flush. This was all work I had done on the THIRD visit, which I paid for then. (Work they 'recommended' of course because they were unsure about the engine light and what parts it was. blah blah blah) He told the individual that he had spoken to me and I knew about the fees remaining and that its all good. They paid the $400 and left and then contacted me a short time after to confirm. They charged again for work already done and paid! This was the Manager!!! And lied about it, saying we spoke and that I was aware! Thanks Dewildt, for running me up thousands of dollars weeks before Christmas for problems you incurred and added labour hours. Did I mention that I am a single father with Christmas around the corner, you thieves?! I hope an investigative team exposes and catches your shady business for what it is! Refer to PICS --> Technician must've felt bad about his lie on the master work order and scribbled it out; or he did not want to expose his incompetence. Either way, I am livid! I have never written a review before and im pretty easy going but I am beyond angry.

Each individual member of this Dewildt team has taken their time to carefully listen to what it was I had to say, and the importance that my truck has on my professional lifestyle. I have been given several options for both diagnosing and fixing my truck as well as re-financing options if I wished to upgrade into a larger and newer vehicle. Having had a less than satisfactory experience with a different dealer I am glad I have selected this Dewildt dealership in Hamilton to help me with my vehicle issues. I feel as though the members of this team are actually there to help me and listen to me, and I feel a lot more competent leaving my hard earned money and truck in their capable hands. -James D

The service center here is atroshish. Worst place to get an oil change ot any work done. Bought a brand new jeep from them. Leaked at the door not my fault the just bandaided the seem with silicone then it leaked again same spot they tried to blame the roof but for some reason changed the door seal and said it was my fault. I complained told them I wanted it detailed inside due to the water damage and smell. They finally agreed. Called to book appointment for that and oil change and brought them my jeep at 7 am like requested only for them to call and tell me it wasn't done at 430 all they did was an oil change and didn't even touch the other repairs. I literally wait sometimes 2 -3 hours for oil changes eventhough they say 30 to 45 mins. Hate this stealership. Never will I buy from them again. Also traded my jeep in at a different dealer . Had my sale papers from the purchase in glove box they couldnt believe how i got screwed. Way over charged. I was 26 when I bought this and the short falls they have are to bad to ignore. They are definitely not customer focused. Any positive review here I can bet is employees. I have had several people come forward after my dealings and tell me they had similar issues with this stealership screwing around with them. Also when I finalized my deal and they found out I got preferred pricing all a sudden the jeep they found me wasnt available anymore and they made me pay to put a hitch on another one without me realizing it. Which also meant no towe haul mode. Absolute garbage this place is. There was also some big guy with black or dark hair and a goate. He needs an attitude check.his dirty looks and cold demeanor are off putting. Also it's been over 5 months since I've been there and I've had my new Ram for 3 months about now and I'm still thinking about how much they pissed me off on sooooo many occasions they always come up short

Been meaning to post this for a while to let others know about the awful service at dewilt. Purchased my 2012 Ram 1500 through a private sale back in the summertime, had a thorough pre purchase inspection prior to sale, and contingent on the deal was that the truck was sold safetied and the truck obviously passed. A month later brought the truck into dewilt for an oil change service, and after the oil change I was told that all 4 corner pads and rotors needed to be replaced immediately as they were very worn. Knowing the car inside and out as a car enthusiast I laughed, so much so, that I took a picture myself of all 4 corners and had a few chuckles with my friends through text. It really made me wonder what Dewilt says to single mothers just trying to fix up their cars just to be able to provide for their families... My last three services have been at another dealership in Hamilton which I will not name cause I could care less, but it’s safe to say my brakes have never once been flagged for replacement even almost a year later as my daily driver. If you’re looking at being being talked to like you’re an idiot, dewilt is the place to have your vehicle serviced.

Refused to provide me with a new tire lock or try taking the bolts off my front tires which are original; with their own tool. Said they could drill out the bolts for $100.00 a tire. This is a review I did for my Wrangler forum and thought it would be beneficial to also post it on Google reviews so folks can read about my experience and go there knowing they'll be treated well and the work they do will be top notch. Had my Jeep in recently to get the radiator, oil cooler and heater core swapped out for the infamous no heat on the drivers side problem. Now it's a blast furnace again. I have to give kudos to my dealership, Dewildt Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Hamilton Ontario, Canada for the outstanding service and work they performed on my Jeep as well as the no hassle approach to the problem, very stress free which is nice for a change. They had the vehicle 2 full days and a few hours of the 3rd day to make sure everything was in order with no leaks etc. They also informed me they flushed the system twice until no more sludge was present and with pretty much a new cooling system then installed I should now be good to go. Now I've read horror stories on this forum about this particular job and the amount of work and panel/dash removal involved and quite frankly that was worrying me quite a bit. I was worried the dash would be loose or rattling all over the place or extra screws or plastic clips laying around but no such problem everything is as it was which soothed my ocd. I was also put in another Wrangler for the period my Jeep was in the shop but I do have the gold warranty plan which includes a rental so I can't say what they would have done if I just had the regular warranty. In any event it seems to be the toss of the dice these days to find good dealership/service department and I just thought mine deserved some accolades as it's easy to bash and get angry at dealerships but in the event they do perform well in every aspect then I think they deserve a mention on the forums.

Came here today with my relatives from out of town. We spoke with a salesman and i even called him before coming. I dont know what the issue was. I was very nice in person and didnt say anything rude. I had 40 k i could of spent on vehicle if i wanted to. Anyways we test drove a jeep wrangler but my uncle had not made his mind up and we looked at another one parked on the lot. When we did this the salesman said you know you can look online right. Purchased my last two vehicles at Dewildt. Mike, Mark, Andy, Jordan, and the team really helped me getting out of my last lease and into my new one. They were always prompt at responding when I had any questions. They have a great selection of vehicles on the lot with the trim levels and features anyone would want especially in Jeep Wranglers, Cherokees and Ram 1500. When I looked at their site and found the car I wanted, Mike immediately had it reserved, put aside, filled the tank so I could do a test drive, and the whole thing took only a handful of days before I got the new one. Everyone at the dealership is friendly, I've never felt pressured or like I was being hustled. Whenever I brought my last Jeep in for maintenance, someone from the service department always came out to talk to me about what needed to be done, and when I'd ask if something was necessary at that time, I'd get a straight and honest answer. Definitely check them out if you're in the market. Let's face it, Jeeps and Rams are the coolest cars.

Second worst dodge dealership I have been to. Made an appointment days prior. Show up, 45mins later after (schedule appointment) car goes in, but I did have to say something at 35mins. No problem I understand it can be delayed, but 45mins is a little excessive. All I was getting done was tire change over to winter. I ask the front desk prior to if they could check tie rods and brakes and give me and update as the tires would be off and it would take 30 seconds to do. Got my car back, tires on, ask for update on tie rods and brakes and was told the mechanic didn't have time. But yet they were trying to up sell me for an alignment earlier, how does that work when they don't have time??? What and excuse. Never will I return to this dealership. Nor promote it. Thanks dodge. Great service. ????

Still wouldn't start, they ran a diagnostic for me and basically determined it was a loose starter connection. Poor. Made an appointment last Wednesday to drop the truck off on the following Monday for a specific repair for which they knew what parts they needed. An hour after I dropped it off, they told me that they did not have the parts and would not have them until tomorrow or I could pay a 10% surcharge for their failure to ensure adequate stock and they would get the parts from another local dealer. I informed them that I will not be going ahead with the repair. I will also not be giving them any more business.

**CONSUMER WARNING** DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR TO THIS DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS** From the time you walk in the door to the sale of your vehicle, the front staff make you feel like family. I have been bringing my vehicle to this dealership for the past three years or more for regular and preventative maintenance only to receive sub standard and lack of quality of workmanship on several occasions. After spending thousand's of dollars at this dealership to maintain my vehicles in excellent running condition there was many times that I had allowed the unprofessional and inadequate workmanship slide but still brought it to the attention of the dealership also finding myself taking time out of my busy schedule to have the same maintenance work done a second time over. Sometimes three or four times. Understandable, the tech's are there to make money per work order, especially on the expensive and time consuming maintenance work orders but the quality of workmanship is not only lacking because of a broken system but is also unacceptable for a paying customer. I had stopped bringing my vehicles for oil changes because I was tired of fixing the damage and replacing the missing bolts that hold's the splash guard on that covers the oil pan, oil filter and the drain plug as well as missing push pins. I believe that customers should get their vehicles back in the same or better condition than when it was originally brought in especially from a "reputable" dealership. DO NOT expect this dealership to take their time and go above and beyond to properly repair or properly diagnose your vehicle. They overlook any other related components that could cause other issues in the future. The fact that they don't take their time and over look the small things such as cleaning the carbon out of and EGR tube which is preventative maintenance, especially when they had the plenum off already three times previously due to a code. (that's another story) They rush the job and take your money because time is money and that's the bottom line. This does not give me confidence in their quality of workmanship. The straw that broke the camel's back sort of speak is when I brought one of my vehicles in for a repair that was already done once. Again I had to take time out of my schedule to have the same repair repaired again. When I brought my vehicle into this dealership, it was in excellent running condition. There was no knocking, no ticking, no abnormal sounds from the engine compartment other than an air leak from the EGR tube resulting from an improperly installed plenum from the previous maintenance done by this dealership. I do not abuse my vehicles. The tech that installed it a second time however did a fantastic job on the installation. Why did the first tech not catch this the first time round after he finished the work that was done?... rush job - time is money. To make a long story short, I traded one problem in for another, more serious problem. A job that will cost thousands of dollars to repair and one that will be time consuming. I have experienced first hand the abuse that is implemented on customer's vehicles in their garage by over revving engines in park with no load. Not to mention my vehicle was never road tested properly after the maintenance was completed due to my odometer reading. I tried for settle this matter amicably but received nothing but run arounds, excuses and was talked over as well as was mismanaged. no one wants to take responsibility for the damage caused mostly because the repair is costly, time consuming and they were hoping I would just go away. On a good note however, the front staff, Jeff Luton - parts manager and his team, also Ray Baki and Mitch McGarr - both service advisor's all deserve to be praised and thanked for their tremendous, friendly and professional service. Jeff, Ray and Mitch are all extremely knowledgeable and are excellent reps to interact with, providing a phenomenal, professional level of customer service.

the service absolutely disgusting. brought my car in because my door would not open they told me THE PART I needed would cost nearly 700.00 dollars with tax 800.00 meanwhile I did my own research and part only cost 220.00 DOLLARS then I find out that was not the problem the problem was the door handle which was only 40. meanwhile while my car was there the rep told me that my door was apart and they could ent put it back together again when meanwhile that was a lie. forcing me to get the job done with the first price they quoted me. A year ago, we had a transmission failure in our 2016 Journey. It was all covered by warranty but they went above and beyond by making sure we didn't get our car back until it was in top notch working order. Any and all recall work was done while it was in the shop along with computer updates. They kept us informed and updated through the process and it came back to us like a brand new car! They are accommodating, helpful and everyone in the service department we have dealt with is fantastic! Purchased a used convertible in Feb, which has turned out to be a bad purchase. Before I had put 1000 km on it, the car died on the side of the road and had to be towed to a mechanic. They did not believe me that I purchased this certified from a dealership. Yes I was offered the extended warranty but the price of it would have made more sense to buy a newer car. Having put less than 1200 km on it since I purchased it and it has been in the garage 3 separate times with the least expensive visit being $1,000. There was so much wrong with this car, what was going to be a fun little summer car for me has turned into a huge financial stress. I did not live close enough to have it properly checked out prior to purchase by someone I trust and put too much trust in the dealership to take care of that. I fully understood that an older car would have additional maintenance costs but this was not at all what I expected.

Satisfied with DeWildt service overall the last 2 times for approx. 1500.00 total repairs & labour. Today I was charged for 4 clamps for rad hoses but it appears mechanic used old clamps for at least a few of them, invoices should be 100% accurate. However I recommend for Chrysler repairs.

I buy a new truck every other year and this is by far the worst I have ever been taken advantage of. We agreed on a discount, then Jordan brought in the wrong truck and this is where thigs went bad. I refused the truck and waited for try number 2. It was closer and I agreed to accept what he brought in (my mistake). He then changed the discount we agreed on and too $2,000 away from what we agreed. I questioned him and he snagged the paper work out of my hand and changed the price of the vehicle to reflect a price over list by $2,000 and said here's your discount. I informed him that it was illegal and he smirked and said I signed the paper work. I am a licensed OMVIC dealer and thought OMVIC would straighten it out, I am now uncertain if they will as I signed the paper but would like to help protect anyone dealing with Jordan. I have sent several emails addressing them to be forwarded to the owner of the Dewilt and have never been contacted by them. It got much worse afterward when I found collision damage on the second truck brought in. Buyer beware As I can not reply to your comment I will reply here, I was not treated in a professional manner first off. I ordered a truck with a Midnight package and you tried to pass off a sport package as such. I did send multiple emails to you requesting the owner of Dewildt call me to work it out. No Response I introduced myself as a licensed dealer and expressed that billing over list price was "illegal" for an OMVIC dealer to charge, at which time you just provided a smug smirk. Hence why I wanted to discuss this with the owner of the establishment. I have confirmed that she is aware of this and cares nothing about making it right, Also that your family and most likely why you have a job there still. Did you know as a license dealer I was not supposed to pay tax? I took the truck because as you are aware I had already given my truck to someone and needed a ride. On the second attempt that you bought in the wrong truck I decided to cut my losses and accept the truck. By the way looking for another one wish I could go back to my employee's cousin to buy another however you have made that difficult. Funny I can only get a response from you establishment in this case when I ask the question publicly. If Marilyn would like to discuss this further I would be happy to. Although I know she has already discussed this with a mutual friend and choose to ignore me. so you comment on how long it took for this review, I was giving you guys the chance to make it right. I bought a new ram last year and everythong was perfwct until delivery. Small nick on edge of rear driver side door and rip on rubber trim. I pointed ut out to my sales person but all he could offer was a paint marker? Could have easuly been 5 stars for the whole experience minus that nick. Now im getting service in another place just because of that experience. If the guys cleaning/preparing a brandnew car for delivery could be that careless, who know how they would treat a used car?
