Anthony contacted me through a Kijiji listing to purchase my Mom's car that had been in an accident. He replied with two accounts, one personal and one for Bellissimo Motors. He said he wanted to purchase the car; first he asked for location and said he wanted to go see it. I provided it and he didn't go over the course of a week. He wanted more pictures, I sent them within 3 days (I asked someone at the impound to take them), and said he still wanted to buy the car. He was going to arrange for a friend to pick it up on a flatbed to avoid towing fees. He wasn't able to get ahold of the friend. I was going to lower the price to account for the towing to Hamilton from Toronto. 3 more days passed and I decided to settle up at the impound and move the car, I asked Anthony to decide what he was going to do. He still wanted to buy the car, kept asking me what the total fees were. As I was paying and making arrangements with him, I got a fast busy signal like being placed on hold. I waited for a few minutes then disconnected. I called back and could not get through, kept trying to call him for hours then the next day. I also emailed him immediately to tell him the situation, with no reply. Throughout our arrangements, I often had to call him because when he said "I'll call you back in X," he never did. He always seemed pleasant and enthusiastic over the phone, but in the end I think he was stringing me along and likely was going to reply with yet another Kijiji account with a lower offer, knowing I've become more desperate to sell the car (and I think he did). I definitely don't appreciate him breaking all communications when I was closing the deal and I wouldn't trust him with a car purchase or anything else for that matter. Stay away.
