I visited this dealership with the specific intention of looking at one of their advertised used Rav 4 vehicles. I was shown two of them. The one I chose for a test drive was the one I'd seen. The gas tank was near empty, but I took it out for about 10 minutes. When I returned, the salesperson asked if I'd be interested in test driving a new Scion iM. I decided to try it out. When the salesperson had it ready, she told me it was on empty and that I had exactly 20km to try it. I have to admit that it was a nice ride. The salesperson then proceeded to explain all the incentives on the car. My trade was appraised and I agreed that it was a good deal. I was then introduced to a 'product specialist' who went over all the other add-ons to the deal like life insurance, loss of income insurance, extended warrantee, etc. I was pressed for time and excited about the prospect of a new car that I thought might fit the bill. I left at closing time having left a deposit of $100. On the Monday morning at opening time, I called the dealership to let them know that I'd changed my mind for various reasons. The reponse on the phone was icy cold. I was informed that the General Manager would be in touch. The call was terminated abruptly. I was then hounded by calls while at work from the Sales Manager. I called back and left a message. The following day, I was again called multiple times. I didn't connect with anyone, but went there after work. The sales manager who'd called me finally was available to talk. In an angry voice, he started the conversation by saying "we are not in the habit of cancelling orders", turning the contract for sale to face me and with a stabbing finger, pointed to the bottom where I'd signed. He was red in the face. I explained my reasons for cancelling and in response he said "this is a binding contract" and car sales are excluded from normal retail sales, where the consumer can change his or her mind. He then said many could "force delivery". It took quite some time to get him to agree to cancelling the order, during which he presented me purchase options for finance for the original car I was interested in - something that the salesperson didn't do because they were trying to push a sale of an entirely different vehicle. As an serious aside, their contract that they'd drawn up for me had a different and far more expensive car listed. I wonder what would have happened if I'd said that I wanted to force that sale? In short, the experience was repugnant and I will never return there. A horrible experience. And contrary to the response below, the dealership had not prepared the car for delivery and so incurred no costs. The extras I mention in this review were the add-on insurance and other ancillary protection plans, not vehicle options.

Bought my first car here 4 years ago, and all the services have been done in the same facility, the place and the people is nice and helpful, but just one time they tried to add more stuff that supposedly my car needed and never came up in the revisions again so I guess the person in duty just tried to sell more (it happens everywhere so I recomend to read your car manual to see what to expect to fix over the years). But overall my experience is really good and since my car is a toyota I feel more confident to get all the services in a dealership. They always call you to remaind you that is time to service your car or to confirm your appointments.

My wife and I returned to Leggat Ancaster Toyota to do some repeat business not only because we love driving anything Toyota (0 problems with their vehicles), but mainly because we loved dealing with Alan and were hoping he would still be there since 4 years had passed since we saw him last. Being a sales manager myself I can recognize people that are a cut above the rest. No one wants to deal with someone all salesy. Alan was very informative and helped us explore options we didn't consider. He makes the experience fun with no pressure. He's a great asset to your team. I'm not one to do google reviews because I'm a busy guy but I felt it was necessary to do so in this case. Thanks!

Should have rated them -5. These guys are crooks. They will intentionally damage your car and hold your car unless you pay them. They purposely misaligned the accessory belt while changing the waterpump under warranty. Next day I went back for unnatural noise coming from engine which the worked upon. After diagnosis they told me that belt was worn off. This was all preplanned. And when I countered that why it was not mentioned when they changed the pump. They tried to feed me all sort of BS. As I challenged them, now they wont give my car back unless I pay diagnostic fee, as I did not get it fixed from them.

I’m from the States and my car broke down right I front of their store. They helped me find a hotel nearby and had my car fixed up the next day, they even sent one of their drivers to get me so I didn’t have to pay for a cab. I can’t say enough good things about Ancaster Toyota. Their staff took such good care of me!

Bought an extended warranty on my RAV4, they refused to honour it. I’ve had nothing but problems with the O2 sensor on this car and each time they told me it wasn’t covered under warranty. Finally they admitted it was, just before the warranty was set to expire. They said they replaced the sensor and I’d never have a problem again. 15 minutes after I drove out of the service bay, the engine light came on again with, you guessed it, O2 sensor problems. Now they won’t look at it for less than $120. I came back to this dealership to buy this car based on a very positive experience I had had in 2012. But all the staff from then have left and it’s just a constant turnover. The right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing in this dealership and it is honestly some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Avoid at all costs.

We just bought a 2016 Mercedes C300 from Roxanne and we couldn't be happier with the service. Rajinder, the service advisor provided exceptional customer service when I brought my truck in for an alignment and balance. As I was waiting for the service to be completed, I was browsing the show room and was approached by Joshua, a sales rep. After explaining to him that I wasn't looking into buying a new vehicle, rather just killing time while waiting for my vehicle to be serviced, he still continued to treat me like a valued customer and was able to answer all of my questions about the new inventory. Also, Justin and everyone else in the parts department are very quick and efficient at there jobs and also provide exceptional customer service! Good customer service is definitely hard to find these days, however this dealership definitely knows how to treat their customers!

When you go to a Toyota dealer you expect not to have to worry about the vehicle or have to do repairs right after. Not only did I have to replace the tires that were original on the vehicle with 66,000 km on them. 5,000 km after that I had to redo the brakes completely. There was a lot of knocking sounds when I would slow down and it was difficult to stop. Took it to another Toyota dealer they told me the pads were pretty much worn completely. Also there was shims and spacers not installed. Spoke to the dealership and they told me that their top tier mechanic looked at this vehicle. When I was driving on the highway after I left the dealership the steering wheel was shaking so bad it was hard to control the vehicle ask them to replace the tires and they said they would change one. Absolutely ridiculous ended up spending almost $1,400 in tires and another $850 on brakes on a vehicle I spent $37,000 on. In my opinion I wouldn't go back to Ancaster Toyota not for any vehicle new used nothing.

I've been receiving calls and text messages from Ancaster Toyota and Leggat Kia for months with respect either upgrading or servicing my 2017 Kia. The texts come from new numbers all the time. I've unsubscribed from every email and blocked at least 10 numbers, they keep coming with new numbers. Seems to be in response to a negative review I left about Leggat Kia last year. Doesn't matter how many times I ask to be removed from their contact list. Not sure why Ancaster Toyota now continually contacts me as I've never owned a Toyota or had my vehicle serviced by them.

Amazing experience buying my first car from Ancaster Toyota - I worked with Simon to get into a used 2014 Mazda 3 Sport GT that they had on their lot. Simon, my sales rep was outstanding in all aspects of the sale from start to finish. First visit and the absolute worst service experience in my life!! Brand new Toyota (8k) has two serious intermittent electrical issues, one with the safety sense system and because the Tech couldn't replicate the issue they charged me his time in labour. I got charged $145. for nothing in return. And the Service Manger says, "I can see why you're frustrated". And no, I don't want to email the GM, your canned response. The behaviour and culture is clearly cascaded downward from that office. I'll take my business elsewhere where it's appreciated.

Worst experience buying a brand new car I have ever had in my life. At the moment we are buying the car, we have asked about the possibility to bring the car into US, the sales representative went to talk to his boss (who now nobody knows who is), back to us and said that was all set and the car (brand new RAV 4 Hybrid Limited) had it all, including Tire Pressure Monitoring System (aka TPMS) mandatory in some US states. When we asked Toyota a Letter of Compliance to take the car into US, Toyota states the car doesn´t have TPMS. Back to Toyota Ancaster, the general manager was rude and haughty, complete different attitude at the moment we were buying the car. Go for another Toyota dealership if would you like be respectfully treated, not only when are you buying but after sales as well.

I thought I had great customer Service the first time I bought a vehicle here (2009 Rav4). That was until I bought my second vehicle (2014 Tacoma TRD). The customer service went from great t fantastic!!! Very considerate and polite staff. Very integral. This dealership to me is the standard that all other dealerships should hope to achieve. Andrew was one of the best sales people I have ever dealt with. He listened to exactly what I wanted from my vehicles and stood behind his product. Service at the dealership is on a level of its own. Found fluid on the driveway, called Ancaster Toyota, and they booked me in right away. They provided a timely assessment of the problem, reviewed the issue with me in a detailed manner, and we booked the repair for the next day. I go outside to pick up my truck, and find they have washed it - is this service or what ? Absolutely NONE of the previous Toyota dealerships that I have gone to have ever washed my truck. Next day, they peformed the service while I visited the showroom and their coffee bar. Discreet salesrep were available for questions, but by no means was anyone pushing for a sale. They were even going to wash my truck again, but I declined the offer - it wasn't dirty yet ! Repair was completed at the quoted price, by the specified time - very impressive. This dealership is where I will be going to from now on. I highly recommend this dealership.

This was my first experience at this place. Pros: a. Good customer service and communication b. Good and quick shuttle service Cons: a. They didn't stick the "next service due date" sticker in the front window, after service b. They charged me for the service without checking that I'm part of the ECP(this is despite me specifically telling them about this at the time of booking service) c. There was water on the floor in the service area, there were no sign boards placed. I almost fell down, could have caused me injury d. Two shuttle guys called me for pickup,caused confusion between me and the drivers(this issue is ok compared to the other three). This being said, the rep was more than happy to help solve the issues as soon as I mentioned this to them, however, I personally think there is room for improvement to proactive address issues such as this in the future.

Normally I love this dealership. I chose to go there because their service department is top notch and PROBABLY will return for servicing of my awesome Camry but I probably will never buy a car from them and here is why ... I had received a call earlier in the week about a preferred customer deal they had going and would I like to come in to see the new Camry ... perhaps upgrade. Would I like to come in on Friday (today) afternoon. I informed her I would be in in the morning for servicing and she said that they could do a valuation on my car and let me test drive a new one while my car was in for servicing and there would be no pressure ... I said I would prefer to test drive the RAV4 ... she told me while I was there someone would come talk to me. Nobody did in the 2 hours I sat waiting for my servicing. I even walked around the show room looking st the Camry and RAV4 and nobody approached me. There were sales people standing around but apparently I didn’t look like someone interested in buying a new car. I am very disappointed by their sales staff. I will, however recommend the service department and maybe look at buying from another dealership.

If you want to be told one thing by the sales group then told you were lied to by the service team, this is the place for you. Swapped a sienna here because of the run flats on the AWD model. Told not to worry FWD you won't have this problem. We have driven 22K and told the tires are marginal and will need to be replaced soon. Explained were were told this wear issue would not happen and we would get much better wear from the tires. Service folks they say "ya that happen alot in sales sorry". Last Toyota we will have. Reason it gets a two is how nice the service folks are. Not entirely their fault the sales team lies to get folks into cars. Fell bad for the position they are in.

I often visit this Toyota location for oil change and factory recommended maintenance. The staff is highly trained and co ooetative. The last time when my oil change was due I called two other Hamilton locations but they couldn't accommodate me. Finally I tried this location and they didn't disappoint me. Though they were very busy but accommodated me and made an appointment right away. I highly appreciate their professionalism and the shuttle drivers are really courteous as well.

Please to be very carefully, do your home work remember every number for the price, trap everywhere. For the iZEV federal rebate, website clearly state dealership can apply online, they ask me to go to the service Canada myself. I had a very bad experience. Update: to anyone interesting buying Prius Prime, the application of federal rebate should be done by dealer, deduct from purchasing price on the contract. Individual cannot get money from government direct.

Very bad experience!I already bought two used cars from this dealer. One of the car had the brakes problem in a month. I had to spent$850 to Replace the brakes system. Was trying to get the third one for my wife. But the GENERAL manager Frank was very rudely and very haughty. We felt like he’s so rich that no need any business. We are the fans of Toyota and lives in Ancaster. But we will not buy anything from the “Toyota Ancaster “again.Sad!

Quite possibly the worst experience. Drove from Ottawa to Ancaster to pick up a 2018 4runner. Was told the vehicle was in immaculate shape (I mean at 7,000km the vehicle should be virtually new) We arrived there to pick up the vehicle and no one approached us or wanted to even give us the time of day. Sales manager approached us and showed us the car. We noticed there was misalignment on the front bumper and the rear bumper was cracked on the inside. Sales manager told us " we won't hold you to anything, take it or leave it" Pretty upset at that but STILL we were willing to take the vehicle if they would have even given us a small discount. We asked for $1000 off and we will take it the way it is. They told us no, and again said take it or leave it. So we decided to decline the vehicle just from the service we were given. To be quite honest we still would have taken the vehicle at the end if the service would have been better, if they would have been a little more uplifting and polite. All of the paperwork for the finance was completed, the bill of sale was generated and finished, as well the licensing has been done. I don't understand why they didn't try and hold the deal together. Purchased a brand new 4runner from a local dealership in Orleans and was very happy with the purchase, service and deal we got ! I hate writing negative reviews but this was just appauling. 13 hours of driving wasted. Received no apology for the vehicle condition or having wasted our time which made it that much easier to go somewhere else.

We had an appt with The salesman at 1:00 pm on Saturday. When we arrived the sales man looked hurried and was serving two other customers. The front desk boys were less than welcoming it looked liked someone brought their sons to work and the kids were plunked at reception. We were told we were not allowed any water. They did offer coffee. We did end up driving the Rav 4 and the price we were offered for our truck was almost half of what another dealership offered us. We decided the salesman was too busy to help, yet we saw 4 of them just sitting around. We proceeded to leave. We decided to drive to St. Catherine’s Toyota and they blew our socks off. We bought right on the spot there, a beautiful Rav 4. Sorry Ancaster your dealership needs a lot of improvements. If there was a zero star option we would choose it.

We decided we wanted a Toyota Prius and it was getting time to replace our seven year old reliable Honda Insight. We went to several dealers for both makes. It was a total no brainer to end up with Ancaster Toyota. Their staff were excellent. Everyone, even all the sales people around, were so friendly and enthusiastic, with a smile on their faces. Our sales person was knowledgable about the Prius. She didn't pressure us , only suggested we take a test drive, we knew once we did we would buy it, and wanted to wait just a bit. When we did go for the test drive it was a comprehensive one. She was professional yet made you feel like you mattered. We highly recommend Ancaster Toyota.

Had an awful experience at this dealership. Right from the get go I was met by a defensive sales person who made me feel terrible. Our family was on the fence about what vehicle to pick. After a few minutes of talking to the salesperson I was literally holding back tears and wanted to leave to another dealership as this guy was doing everything he could to make me mad. I spoke to several salespeople from other dealerships and not one was like this. This is unbelievable. We went to Redhill Toyota the next day, and it was like night and day. And we bought a limited 4 Runner from them very easily. So sadly your dealership missed out because of your salesperson.

I bought my Toyota Tundra from this dealership in July 2017. As part of the deal, I paid extra for Tonneau hard cover. It was not ready on truck's delivery day. Sales person agreed to deliver it in home since I live in Mississauga. After my multiple calls, agreed to come home on 2 different dates, I took leave from work and stayed home. Reasons are family emergency, he received defective item from Toyota etc. I am yet to receive it from the dealership and the sales person is not answering my calls anymore. Not a reliable place, I will never buy anything from this location.

Today was my third time in a row waiting way longer than necessary. This location has zero respect for their customers time. Today it was over two hours for a scheduled (not walk in) winter tire change. They didn't provide me with any updates in this time, I went to ask for an update about 1.5 hours in and they told me it would be out in 5 minutes (it was closer to 30). SO aggravating. No oil change, no extra service - just getting my winter tires switched. The guy was also pretty void of empathy when I called them on it. "Yeah we're really busy today" give me a break man. How about we're sorry? Guess what, I'm pretty busy today too but you told me to be here at this specific time. How about if you're running late call me and say can you come in a bit later? Three strikes and you're out, they have lost my business indefinitely and if you can go anywhere else then please do.

Not surprised that the last 3 reviews were 1 star... Very poor customer service. I picked up my car from a service appointment and they had significantly increased the visibility of a previously repaired scratch along my car door. Cloth marks were clearly visible, showing that someone had been trying to cover the additional damage up, while the remainder of my car had just been freshly washed, proving that this was noticed and attempted to be covered up after the car had been washed by the dealership. I attempted to address this with the service manager Markus, which resorted to dodging and deflecting every question I asked him regarding the obvious attempt to cover this up. He then brought the "head detailer" out, who then told me he did not know if the cloth marks would typically be washed off in their car washing process. I would expect someone that does this on a daily basis to know that these would easily come out in a basic car wash. Lastly, the General Manager, Frank, immediately took the stance of defending his employees rather than listening to me as a customer (a customer of nearly 3 years, with a new car purchase and every service appointment completed with their dealership.) Frank also decided to take the stance of dodging and deflecting the obvious swirl marks left by a cloth after the car was washed. Extremely disappointed with the customer service received, will never give another dollar to this franchise.

Sales gets 3.5/5. Bought a 2014 Acura TL here on April 2017. Sales experience was decent, nothing spectacular with Rox. Financial department was a headache to work with and took weeks before I was granted approval for finance even though I had a big down payment on the car. Service gets 5/5. Had two tires which got a sidewall puncture from a road trip and a sidewall nail. On both instances, the service department worked with me and replaced both tires under warranty.

I had my brakes done by Ancaster Toyota not long ago for near $900. Recently I heard grinding during braking coming from the rear. I didn't honestly think after 13,000 km that I would be metal on metal, but found out from a trusted mechanic I actually was. I called up the service department at Toyota and talked to the woman who answered and explained the situation. She firmly told me I have NO warranty and there's nothing they can do for me. If I can't even get 20,000 km out of brakes done by this company and they don't seem to give two craps, I would give them 0 stars if I could.

Went in here looking for a Yaris or Corolla. They quoted me prices above those listed on Toyota.ca. After showing the salesman what I found on the website, they would honour the web price plus they’re $500 admin fee. Fine. I walk in to do the paperwork and the numbers didn’t add up. The admin fee was $590, plus tax! After voicing my displeasure we agreed on a fair exchange. Then came the extended warranty push. Scare tactics were used based on the 5 year lease. We ended up agreeing on 1/2 price. The next day I come in for the pick up. We go over the remaining paperwork and the numbers don’t add up!? The cash payment was different and another figure was off. The Finance guy came in to explain and went on this massive numbers rant meant to confuse the average person. But in the end, the cash payment I was making was not the same as indicated on the lease forms. He wore me out and I was in a hurry, so I gave in (shame on me). Upon checkout, he tacked on another $42 to the bill without even telling me why. I left feeling completely ripped off. After receiving a call from one of their representatives looking for positive feedback on an upcoming survey, I voiced my displeasure at my experience. She had the Sales Manager call me. He gave a kind ear to my concerns and said he would speak to all concerned parties and get back to me with some feedback. He also promised to send me a gift to make up for the issues. Nothing happened. After a few weeks I was checking to see if I had received my Aeroplan points for the purchase. Nope! I called the Sales Manager and left a message. He didn’t call back. I called back a couple days later and he told me he’d take care of the Aeroplan points that day. He didn’t mention anything regarding his past promises. I ended up writing an email to Toyota Canada. They looked into my Aeroplan points issue. I asked about the survey I intended on filling out because I was unhappy with my experience; he informed me those surveys had been discontinued. He asked for an explanation of my experience, and we left it at that. I told him I didn’t want to hear about it ever again and that he could tell the dealership not to worry about me because I would never set foot in there ever again. He ensured me that that wasn’t the way Toyota wants people to feel when they walk out of a dealership having purchased a new car. Thankfully, my wife loves the car and it’s 1600kms away where it won’t see the light of day at Ancaster Toyota. Judging by the reviews on the Service Department, I’m glad it won’t. Never again.

Last Friday my sister and I went looking for a new Toyota Rav SUV. When we walked into the showroom there were no customers in the showroom. There were about 5 salespeople there and they completely ignored us. After about 10 minutes, a fellow came over and wanted to know if we were looking for a car. He then said that he would find a salesperson for us. I asked him if he was a salesman and he said yes. Now why would he tell me that he was going to find a salesperson? When we asked him some questions, he gave us short answers and showed no interest. I wanted to apologize for interrupting their social hour as they were all talking and on their phones. I don’t know how you sell any cars there with salespeople like that. We then went to another dealership where we were waited on right away. They greeted us when we came in and talked to us with some respect. That is the way it should be. We have bought cars from your dealership in the past and it has gone totally downhill. I would not recommend this car dealership to anyone. My advice would be to go to dealerships in small towns where they still know how to treat people right.

I had recently been at the service centre to fix a problem with my Lexus car . The problem was with the engine light alert and shaking of the car. They fixed the problem and charged me $500 +. The staff Jecica told that now the car will drive like a 'dream car' BUT, Just a day after I noticed that the same problem came in (shaking and Engine light on alert) I called them and brought the car back to them. I cleared the issue that because it was the same complain , I should not be charged again. But unfortunately , they were claiming additional 300+ if I need to fix the same issue. They were saying that is different problem that in fact was not. I got the impression that unless you are not expert in the subject , they can make you feel like fool . I was not satisfied with the additional charge claim for the half/piece mill work /repair done just 48 hours before. So, it is really a big trap ,unless you know the subject/expert on the subject , be ready to pay what they will charge . I do not understand the engine mechanics, so they were able to easily make me fool by saying that the recall repair was not their responsibility. So, be careful.

If you also hate pushy sales people then this is the dealer for you! Keaton and the rest of the staff were friendly. I appreciated that he focused on the vehicle I knew I wanted and didn't try to push other or newer vehicles. After speaking to numerous dealers and finding them incredibly infuriating I found dealing with Ancaster Toyota a much appreciated change of pace. 10/10 would trade Keaton my money for a vehicle again!

Purchased 2 years ago, used car manager has been changed so new manager Jeremy Stadler doesn't honour anything from it. He promised to get back to us and it never happened. Horrible horrible service. We went into this dealership to get a price on a new corolla or rav4. We walked in, the sales guys were huddled around talking loudly about sports or something. It felt like some night club or sports bar. A receptionist asked us what we would like and when we told her we were looking to purchase a vehicle, she said she would get a sales lady. After waiting for some time, our sales rep comes out wearing 4 inch heals and club wear. I kid you not. This would be great if I was 18... but I am not. I'm here to buy a truck. She quoted us a price on a car that included as standard, window etching. As far as I recall, including this as a standard cost is illegal but I could be wrong. We were patient through the rest of her sales process but walked and purchased from another dealership.

Be careful doing any business with Ancaster Toyota. They financially wrecked me. Over one year I had to spend $8,500 (eight thousands five hundreds dollar) in the name of regular maintenance of my 2009 RAV4. No engine issue, no transmission issue, only regular factory recommended maintenance. At one occasion one of my car’s power sockets was not working, I went there to fix it. I was told socket was broken, I have to leave the car overnight, parts had been ordered and it would be fixed next day. The cost would be around $200. Since I have only one car, I had to take the car end of the day, hoping to bring it back next day morning to Ancaster Toyota. While I brought the car home I found power socket started working, it was a fuse issue. The question of power socket broken still remained unanswered and suspicious????? After spending so much money for maintenance in one year I decided to sell my car. Got a potential buyer from Kijiji. But he would purchase the car only if it was safety certified. I took the car again to Ancaster Toyota with a hope the certification would be straight forward as significant amount of money I spent over an year, and very recently (3 weeks back from the date of certification) spent $3000. That time I was told the car is in good shape and good to go for a few years. Unfortunately this time they discovered a wheel bearing issue, and I had to spend close to $1000 to have my safety certification done. The question is why then I was told 3 weeks back that the car is in very good shape and good to go for a few more years. Is it not outright exploitation? I strongly recommend stay away from Ancaster Toyota to save your hard earned money and don’t get wrecked financially.

Went in for servicing on a brand new Camry. Bookings are two weeks in advance, service took an additional 3 hours of wait time before the car looked at. I described the issue and they said they fix it. Only once I got home did I realize it wasn’t. Back to book my second appointment and they want me to wait another two week (no thank you) had to call Toyota Canada to get them to up the urgency on the matter. Manager finally decide that there was a slot open the next day at whatever time I wanted. Nice. Show up the next day 10 mins early. Manager was not in and didn’t look at my car for over 3 hours. Why book for when you’re not there? Issue was still not resolved. Brought it to Upper James Toyota and they had the same issue fix in 1.5 hours.

Leased a Prius V. The sales guy was nice but a little vacant. I asked him through email, on the phone and in person for details on the "FREE MAINTENANCE PACKAGE" he was offering as an incentive. He said it was for 2 Years but refused/continually balked at giving details. After we leased it we found out it was 2 years OR 32,000km.... THEN after our first maintenance appointment, found out it was actually for only $300 of work!! The sales guy and the management have ignored my requests. I feel lied to. Don't trust the free maintenance pitch.

This place is a rip off. I brought my car in for an oil change and it ended up costing me 850 dollars. They even tried to change the tires which have only being driven on for less then a year. My car had been in a Toyota dealership In Huntsville three months ago and they said nothing needed to be done and three months later Toyota Ancaster said lots of things need to be done. Something wrong here. You have been warned. Bring you car elsewhere. You cannot trust these guys.

I was recently browsing at the Ancaster Toyota dealership where I met sales rep Jordan Wilson . Being a 15 year driver of a handed down Toyota Camry XLE pushing 400,000 KM I came to the lot with my sites narrowed in on a specific type of car and luxury I was hoping to keep myself in. Jordan was excellent in helping me find what was the right vehicle for me and within the price range I was looking to spend and was able to steer me in the perfect direction of the purchase of my very first car ! Jordan , even on his day off , came into the dealership the night I picked up my car and hung around to show me all my new gadgets and made sure I was comfortable and familiar with everything before driving off in my beautiful new ride . I brought my car in for an oil change and brake check, a few days later, I found out all the nuts( including the security one) on my front driver side tire were loose. You can imagine how dangerous it could be for the driver, passengers and other vehicles on the road. Called the service department manager, he checked the mechanic who worked on my car. He said “ I found it hard to believe that the mechanic forgot to tighten up the nuts. He is a master mechanic not some intern or apprentice”. No appologies. Spoke to Frank the GM, even worse. Kept telling me it was probably a thief trying to steal my wheel so all the nuts were loose. Both of them also suspect me myself loosened the nuts so I can blame them for something. All the managers at this location, in my opinion, behaved like little children. Taking a nonchalant attitude toward a LIFE THREATENING situation. Making up excuses when something goes wrong. Never admitting the possibility of fault like a grown man. Terrible customer service.

My mother and I were ripped off over numerous things which are against the consumer protection act as well as the repair and storage liens act. I am going to post videos on YouTube, so you yourselves can be the judge. What happened to us is exactly opposite to what Toyota Canada advertise in commercials and on print. This was by far the best car buying experience I've ever had, and I've bought my share of vehicles this lifetime! These guys are as shady as car dealers get. Came in to look at a Corolla, was ready with cash in hand to make a deal. I worked out numbers with Andrew and we agreed on a price. Took the night to think it over, but when I came back the next day, he tried every sleazy move, and would not honour the previously agreed upon price. The sales manager is also a piece of work. These guys even went as far as to bad mouth my trade in (how is that going to help make a deal?). Let me give you some advice Andrew; your cars are nothing special. Corollas are everywhere, and if you stoop to some shady behavior, I'll just go to the next Toyota dealer and give them my money. And that is exactly what I did. By the way, the other Toyota dealer I was dealing with had no trouble giving me the price to spoke to them about previously, so what’s your problem? Grow up and don’t treat your potential customers like idiots, then maybe you’ll see your name on that sales wall your dealership was showing off (I didn’t see your name on that wall, big surprise).

Just purchased a 1.5 year old corolla from them. Drove from Richmond Hill all the way there, test drove the car, had a nice chat with the salesperson and then we dove right into negotiations in her office. I walked in knowing the cars wholesale value on the low and high end, as well as the average asking price for a vehicle with that mileage and condition. I proceeded to negotiate the standalone pre-tax price of the vehicle as that is what all my references were in. Salesperson kept deferring back to all in pricing, including tax and all 'admin' fees. I told her the price I was willing to pay pre-tax, she punched in a few numbers in her calculator and would tell me what it came to including tax and 'fees'. Not realizing exactly how much I was charged in admin fees (because we were also tacking on tax), I signed the offer and contract where all the 'admin' fees were lumped into the price of the vehicle and not listed as separate line items where I could easily see how much they were charging me on each. After calling the dealership later on I realized they charged me a $587 'admin' fee and lumped it all into the price of the vehicle. I asked why it wasn't listed as separate line items on the bill so I could easily see it...was told they 'add it in for insurance purposes if something happens to the vehicle and they refer to the price paid for the vehicle I'd get more money'....Had I seen the $587 dollar 'admin' fee on the bill I would have obviously complained about it...seeing as the finance manager and salesperson openly admitted after the fact that in some circumstances in negotiations they are willing to totally waive the fee and its basically at their discretion..... Long story short - ask for all the 'fees' listed as separate line items before you sign and don't fall for the $587 cash grab. Not very happy with the sale, won't come again, plenty of other Toyota dealers out there. Being honest if they would have just thrown in a couple oil changes or just waive the licensing fee by merging it into the admin fee (since they are able to waive those anyways) I would have walked away happy and recommended them. They lost a customer.... EDIT: I received a call from a customer service rep asking about feedback on my recent purchase and whether or not I would recommend them to people. I explained the above situation to them and they apologized and assured me they would forward them to a manager and that they would reach out. Been weeks and haven't heard anything back - I don't expect to hear anything back. Never going to this dealership again and I will recommend the same to everyone looking into it... EDIT #2: I was contacted by Travis Young (Sales Manager) who understood my frustration and disappointment after I explained the whole situation. He apologized profusely, noted that this should not have happened and there must be a training issue which should be resolved. He went on to explain that he wanted to keep my business and offered compensation to try and remedy the situation. I attempted to follow up with Travis on his offer and was met with extremely slow responses...I needed to send emails asking for him to please respond one week after sending each email....I was then notified that Travis no longer works there and no-one had any knowledge of my case. I explained the situation to another employee who assured me he would speak to dealership management and contact me soon as he didn't want to leave me waiting. I was never contacted. I called one week later to ask about the status and was told that management denied the request, would not honour the offer made by their employee, feels there was no wrong-doing and I "paid what you agreed to". I followed up with Toyota Canada and Leggat Autogroup Leadership. I was contacted by Ancaster Toyota's Manager who told me that he has final say over any offers so Travis' offer of compensation has no bearing, Toyota Canada won't intervene and it's up to his discretion and lastly, I paid what I agreed so no compensation will be offered...

Bought a used 2016 Rav4 from them. They insisted that they only use CIBC at a rate of 6.95 for used vehicles. They do not post it to other financial institutions to get the best rate. I was about to pay off my full loan when I noticed some questionable practices besides only using CIBC. I enquired to fully understand and was met with a short dismissive response. When raising concerns, and reminding Joey of the consequences for not reporting sound information. He responded with my efforts as "Pointless". What an arrogant sack of... I have nothing bad to say about Toyota itself. I would just suggest you buy elsewhere unless you want to be treated like a second class citizen.

Service manager: Had to deal with the service manager and he was defensive and rude. Extended warranty: Make sure you read the extended warranty package fine print of the back. They pressure you in buying the warranty upon purchase. Understand that You have 30 days to recind the request and it is prorated if you don't use it. No, you do not get all the money back from the warranty if you don't use it. You get the prorated amount. If you don't call though after two years you get 0! Put it in your calendar

A week after I was into Ancaster Toyota where they had removed my wheels, my custom wheel shop informed me how badly some of my bolt threads were damaged on one of my wheels. The shop rethreaded the damaged bolts for me. The guilty party was pretty obvious, and it’s not like they were ever in a hurry around there. The only reason I stayed there as long as I did was because I had been conned into a service contract at sale time. When I almost lost that same wheel I had another dealership replace the wheel studs. I put in a general complaint about the dealership to Toyota but didn’t go into details since I’m no longer interested in Toyota products because of my experiences with this dealership. They are disgraceful and I traded my Toyota to get away from them. I notice there are a lot of reviews for this dealership which leads me to believe that they are spiking the ratings up by getting their buddies to 5 star them. I’ll bet if you went to their site and put on a negative truthful experience they would moderate it (not allow it) to get their ratings up. They really are grease balls!

Recently purchased second new car from Ancaster Toyota. Went back to them because of Toyota quality and their second to none service department. I was lucky to meet Jordan Wilson, a knowledgeable, friendly, no pressure product advisor, who took the stress out of buying a car. I would recommend Jordan and Ancaster Toyota to anyone.

Terrible experience. Made an appointment with Andrew to see a car and drove 60 kms to get to Ancaster. Upon arrival introduced myself to the receptionist and told her I had an appointment with Andrew but was told that he was busy but would be with me shortly. Waited 20 minutes, no Andrew and nobody else came to assist me or check up on me so I left . No follow-up phone call to apologize, no nothing. Terrible customer service ! In my business I deal with lots of customers and the customer comes first. This is clearly not the case at Ancaster Toyota !!

on the phone the receptionist was inattentive towards my questions until i mention i was looking to buy a new car.... I went into the place 2 weeks ago, the sales person i met was named Simon. I asked him about financing option for a Corolla, he told me they were offering "simple interest rate". I went home and calculated it, and realized it was actually compound interest daily...... Burlington Toyota here i come....

Recently bought a used 2016 Hyundai from this dealership, once i arrived i met with Jordan who was an amazing help, he knew everything about the vehicle and if he wasn't sure he actually made sure to get the right answer for me (on the spot!) instead of guessing or making something up. very trustworthy, nice people not pushy like used car sales people normally are. the team at Ancaster answered any of my questions i had about the vehicle (and it not being of Toyota origin i was very pleased with the amount of knowledge they had) I then decided to go into dealings with Jordan and he was able to get me an amazing price on my trade in vehicle and was even able to get me a better price on the used car itself. Over all great buying experience. Dealing with the finance manager was the exact same helpfulness as with sales. When I asked about extended warranty Joey was able to bring out everything, including the fine print so i had no surprises on extended warranty. Quick service appointment for my camry. Booked online and received quick text responses from Danielle to finalize time. Once I got there, they were ready to go, service was fast and Clayton had great customer service skills. Lots of COVID procedures in place as well, eg. used my key through a ziploc bag, wheel and components were clearly sanitized when returned to me.

I went with my elderly parents to pick up a used Toyota Prius they had bought from here a week ago. We got there to find out the car had not been prepped so it wasnt remotely ready at the agreed upon time. In taking a look as they were fixing the bottom pannel on the car, i noticed the roof and back side of the car severely scratched. This wasnt there when they looked at the car originally and the dealer felt it wasnt their responsibility to fix. They messed up the install of the front hood chip protector. We were left stuck with clearly detective car that we'd contracted to buy but couldn't take. Don't know if I'd want to buy used from them.

Horrible dealership. They sold me a 2018 Honda Civic Si with a blown head gasket and refused to take it back. They told me the vehicle was inspected by multiple mechanics multiple times. Two days after purchasing this vehicle, it broke down. 7 tow trucks, 3 dealerships and 4 months later, I still do no have a functioning vehicle after spending $24,000 to purchase it. Avoid this dealership if you want to purchase a quality vehicle.

He was a wonderful sales rep to work with. He was not pushy and respected our decision when we chose to go with another dealership. Extremely disappointed. Rushed through service and uninformed about a safety hazard regarding my side mirrors when leaving the dealership. Apparently it was written on my invoice but no one spoke to me in person. My mirror fell off 1 hr post service at a grocery store! When I called back, the service employee was rude, unapologetic and condescending. Will not be going back to this location.

Do you not buy or sign any contract under Nicholas Macdonald- he’s a very dishonest and aggressive sales person. He purposefully misled me in many ways. He straight up told me lies in regards to the contract I was signing and things I was allowed and wasn’t allowed. He also had to draft up three different copies and versions of my contract because he kept changing the base price and final price of my lease without adding a single thing. I was never given the ownership to my leased vehicle. When I called to get the ownership I was given nothing but attitude and fought with my reception. When I finally got a hold of Nicholas Macdonald all he had to comment about was my earlier conversation with reception. After telling the fraudulent sales person I am going to be taking this up with the appropriate, he threatened me with a lawsuit. Extremely comical if you ask me . The sales person even questioned my mental health. The most unprofessional thing I’ve ever experienced in my life thanks Nicholas /Nick I will never send a single person to this Toyota and I advise anybody looking into Toyota vehicles ,leasing and financing to stay far away from this dealership. There’s many other dealerships that are more professionally ran then this embarrassment of a Toyota dealer .

Horrible service. I was ready to buy. I had test driven and got a bottom line price at Brantford Toyota. I wanted to see what price Ancaster Toyota could give me. No one approached me when I was looking at cars outside. I went inside still no one approached me. A secretary came out of the office and I went over to her and asked " is there anyone here who would like to sell me a car? I have been outside for fifteen minutes and then another 5 minutes inside. No one has even acknowledged that I am here!" She quickly went and got the manager. A few salesmen also appeared after hearing me speak loudly in the showroom. Everyone was so sorry. Too late! I took my business back to Brantford Toyota where I was immediately greeted and helped. I felt like I mattered and that they wanted and appreciated my business. Chris Dam is a great manager and genuinely wants customers to be happy and well taken care of!

I was in the market to buy a car for a long time and kept searching with no end until I came to this dealership and dealt with Kawan. He was honest, respectful, extremely patient and gave us exactly what we were looking for! Him and Josh had us sold on the 2019 Toyota rav4 XLE hybrid. Were called back shortly after, with a diagnosis by a very pleasant and courteous young lady by the name of Jessica. Our vehicle was done in the time promised as well. Haven’t seen anyone lie so easily and frequently as the salesman Keaton.I went for a preowned vehicle. I specifically asked if a car was on lease and he lied blatantly. Then the manager lied about giving me the car in two days after fixing the windshield. Later, the lady who helped me to close the deal revealed the truth as I was verifying things. The main manager was arrogant and wasn’t upset about his employees lying. A very nice dealership but low ethics. Got my dream car from another Toyota dealership. *My original review was in 2018. The posting date for this review got changed because of a grammatical correction.
