Simply the worst consumer experience of my life.
Went in to look at one vehicle, convinced that we were going to go elsewhere. Then we met Dustin. He was very accommodating and found the perfect vehicle for us right then and there. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicles and got us a great deal on ours. We were able to take our car home the same day, and Sarah in financing was a strong advocate for us when it came time to deal with our insurance company and the bank. Time will be the ultimate test, but I am fairly certain that we will be repeat customers when it comes time to trade in or get another car.
Service was fine. Issues were taken care of all under warranty. I liked the video review of vehicle and that you can decline or accept it on e spot. Complimentary cleaning was nice .

Bought a 2014 Outlander from Metro Mitsubishi and then 2 weeks later tried to get the vehicle inspected. Couldn't get it passed because the brakes were so bad on it. Called up the car salesman who sold it to us. He said problem didn't show when their mechanics looked at it. Right!! Also the trailer lights didn't work .....same response! Worst customer service ever. Would not recommend this company to anyone!
Bring cash or your own financing, the financial team here are a bunch of jokes. Everyone promises to get things done but then nothing happens because of huge and distant compartmentalization. Everyone passes the buck. Even the location manager, after escalating our problems, promised to get back in 48h. No word, and nothing done a month later. The car is great but avoid this business location at all costs.

I have a 2012 Suzuki. When that dealership closed we had to head over to this dealer. Customer service is absolutely horrible now.
People were very nice to deal with. Appreciated the video they sent to my phone detailing some of the work needed. The work was way overpriced for the service i received. What i was charged $350 for cost me $120 at my local garage. They charged me $60 for changing my tires ($24 at local garage) and they couldnt be bothered to check the tire pressure, which i found out was low after i drove off the lot. Will be the last time i go to the dealership. Service has become terrible and overpriced since the dealership was bought out by the Steele group.

The worst. The Service department never picks up the phone and don't expect a call back if you leave a voice mail or a text. Drove from Cole Harbour just to get a response only to wait again for the Service Agent at the desk. Terrible service.

the service was fast. I had the seat belt fixed due to a recall and they included on checking the wheel's alignment, the break pads,tire thread and air filter for free.
Brought my car in for a tire change (on rims) and oil change which was a good 50% more than I get charged most other places, which I'm not too bothered by because I expected it. The main reason for my low rating is that I mentioned that my rear heat shield had fallen off, and their course of action was to look at it and tell me that they couldn't see any heat shields - no kidding - they charged me $60 for this and told me I didn't need one. They also asked me if I'd be interested in a complementary car wash, which I said "That sounds great, thank you" - there was no car wash. They also suggested a bunch of fluids needed to be replaced because I've driven too long with them, so I asked, after how many KMs do they need to be replaced. They said 75,000Km, of which I only have 36,000Km on the car. The whole experience seemed very arbitrary.

Do not buy the rust coat protection plan, they do not honor it. It was explained to us that the rust protection plan would cover any surface rust to appear. Seems like a good thing to have on the east coast. Second year in we had rust build up around the rear edge of the hood. Dealership and the insurance company said was caused by an ice scraper which is impossible because the vehicle was always stored inside. They explained that the protective coats and paint made it so it was impossible for rust to build unless physically scraped off...but if the only way for rust to appear is by fault of the owner because the coat always protects no matter what and fault of owner isn't covered by the plan then what is the point of the plan? Yeah. Other than that more or less happy with the Outlander. Staff is friendly. Did have it in a few times to get checked free of charge. But they do typical dealership overcharges, over $150+ for an oil change. Be cautious of the extra stuff they try to sell you.

Took my vehicle several times there for the same problem. The car was working perfectly before they changed its brakes. Since then, I always hear metal noise when braking. It has never got fixed.
Best experience ever buying a used car ever!
Booked in for an oil change and to have my winter tires put on. 4 hours later I left and had to go right back because my warning lights were still on, there was no oil change sticker AND they had somehow messed up my park cameras. Now they did try to fix it all when I returned and refunded the cost of the oil change but I had to book a service appointment at another dealership to have my camera repaired. EDIT: as an update, I have not heard from the General Manager as his reply below implies.

Previous Audi Q5 traded in for Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross over GT and so far we are quite happy two days into it. Jason was our sales contact and he was a pleasure to deal with. Upfront and courteous. Worked hard to ensure sale went through. The vehicle transition was a breeze. All handled professionally. Based on the negotiation and the transaction that took place, I would recommend the dealership and the Eclipse Crossover GT. Will comment in future if dealership lives up to this initial experience with regards to service, etc.
Will NEVER buy another car from Steele. Mitsubishi Steele tried to charge me over $300 for a new motor for my window, when I kept telling them it was only off the rail(maybe because I'm a woman they didn'twant to listen.. but idk). Most ignorant staff I've ever dealt with regarding service for my car - so I don't even bother answering the phone when they call. Take your money to somewhere other than STEELE.
If you are okay with being disrespected and treated rudely by a salesperson, then by all means go there. One thing though, don't disagree with what the sales manager "Jeff" says... otherwise he would tell you to "Beat it"!!!!!!! That's my experience. (April 2021)

Was much better when they were run independently. Have been charged multiple times for work that was not done. Will not refund, will not do the work. Multiple trips for things they claim are fixed but not. Avoid if you can!

I purchased used vehicle. I have been waiting for 2 months for replacement of fog lamp sensor which was promised within a week of purchasing car. Was advised part received, booked appointment, spent 2 hours at service only to learn part was not actually received. I attended second appointment when part arrived; drove away and dash lights still flashing. I called service and they advised wrong part arrived and was installed?!....again
I just wanted to give feedback on my recent experience at Steele Mitsubishi and especially about the sales adviser Jason Carlson. He went above and beyond to help us find a car for our daughter and even tho it was an inexpensive used car Jason went above and beyond anything I have experienced when purchasing a new car. Not for one minute did I feel like I was just another customer in the door. I was made to feel welcome and my business was valued. Awful Customer Service! My engine quit under warranty on the highway and they're not satisfied with all the paper work of proof of proper maintenance (Long story short I started having maintenance done elsewhere because of how terrible they are!) Decided to strip my engine before they decide if they want to give me a new one, that's fine... But I have 3 kids I have appointments and a job to get too! Yet they refuse to give a rental! They have had my car for a week and still haven't come to a verdict, and I am stuck cancelling appointments because they refuse to give a rental because the replacement engine isn't on back order. We're on week one since it's gone in and they still haven't come to a conclusion. Do what you need to do to fix my car!, but don't leave a mother of three without transportation in the summer with school going in! Amazing Cars, Less than Satisfactory people in charge of the company. I may not even come close to getting it by mid next week at this rate. Terrible company to work with! Just showed all the reasons why I stopped letting them do my service maintenance. Considering their employees think a bad wheel barring is dirt in a piston ???? Had to take it back to them 4 times for that non sense. Waste of time to even bother with either of the Mitsubishi Dealers in Nova Scotia.

I would give them less if I could! They can't be trusted, they'll tell you whatever you want to hear to get the sale, and then they'll screw you over! I had to deal with one of their faulty vehicles for almost 4 years until I was finally able to get rid of it. I wish I could have burned it so somebody else didn't have to deal with the issues, but unfortunately I needed the trade-in value. Their customer service is absolutely pathetic, and you will want to blow your brains out having to deal with them! Caught them multiple times lying about the work they did on my vehicle by the proof on my dash cam, and surprise surprise they start disconnecting it when they have it in, they're super shady! Believe the negative comments here. I question those five stars, interestingly enough there's no comments on a lot of them, what do you want to bet it's someone from the dealership or someone they know trying to jack up the rating. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere, I'm so thankful I finally did.

Shady Dealership, these guys are thieves and liars, I would never go back or recommend to anyone. We love our vehicle and have no issues with it, but would never purchase again from these crooks or trust Mistubishi again. If I can send out any warning to anyone that if you are to purchase here, please re-read your contract carefully before signing it. They took advantage of us, knowing this was our first new vehicle purchase. We came to an agreement but when it came time to sign they had completely changed the deal and hide it From us, charged us for things we hadn't agreed to . We our utterly disgusted how they stole from us, and hope this review be fair warning to others.

I own a 2014 Outlander which I purchased for several thousand dollars less elsewhere after the salesperson at Metro Mitsubishi repeatedly lied to me in order to try to sell to me. Now I’m having issues with my Outlander which should be covered under the warranty but was denied by the service department/Mitsubishi Canada. A clearly faulty part caused damage inside the driver side door and they blame it on the wind (despite there being zero dents or scratches on the outside of the door). As far as I’m concerned, the warranty is a huge scam and this delearship cannot be trusted.

I had a pretty new car that was no longer getting used, and wanted to sell it. I was dreading trying to sell a car with a large price tag online, and I happened to stumble upon Auto Trader's Instant Cash Offer program. I was 95% convinced it was bogus, but I thought why not, I'll see what it says. Within 24 hours of submitting it I was in touch with Steele Mitsubishi, and had the car sold, without needing to worry about listing it and managing potential buyers. Thanks especially to Jeff, who got back to me very quickly, and made the entire process quick and painless. He knew I wasn't looking to purchase another car, and there was never any pitch or expectation for me to do so during any stage of the sales process. In no more than 24 hours I had the car out of my hands for a fair price, with the safety of selling right to a dealership who handled everything on their side. Could I have gotten a bit more if I did sell it private? Probably! But that convenience, ease, and safety that Steele provided was worth the small loss. Thanks Steele Mitsubishi!

I would like to thank Brett Ells for selling me my Mitsubishi RVR. He told me in the winter how much I will enjoy driving it. All I can say is wow! This morning was the first time driving it in the snow. I felt so safe. For the first time in 12 years I pulled out of my driveway and did not slip on the ice. Driving on the highway was crazy amazing. I pulled into the parking lot at work without it being plowed and actually tested my RVR by spinning around the parking lot taking quick turns and I was shocked at how it handled. I would recommend anyone to purchase a Mitsubishi. With the winter tire package and the 4 wheel drive I'm not as scared to drive in the winter. Thank you Brett Ells and your staff for the great customer service. I will alway own a Mitsubishi.

Worst customer service I ever had by head and shoulders. I wish I had taken a picture of my car being towed out of there on a flat bed after the service department laughed at me for asking them to fix my car. Can't say enough bad things about the people here. My transmission cooler failed and they quoted me $800 for a brand new cooler AND $110 for 2 rubber hoses. Apparently by coincidence both hoses and cooler all failed simultaneously, what are the odds ? Railed against using after market parts, refused to install them. I bought OEM cooler and they still refused to install that. Clearly their blabbering about after market parts was just lies because 2 hours later they refused to install a used OEM part with zero explanation. My car sat on their lot for a week while they ignored the multiple emails I sent politely asking them to reconsider Their greedy decision, assuring them they were gonna lose business if they made me tow my car off their lot after they refuse to install OEM parts. A really condescending girl calls me (they wouldn't put their response in writing) and lies to me saying they had called me and left voicemails 8 times while pretending that I hadn't emailed them multiple times and was ignored. I think their lie about calling me 8 times was the lie they were going to use to falsely justify towing my car. So just put yourself in my shoes. I'm waiting to hear back from the dealership to see if they're willing to fix my car, possibly negotiate some concessions and while I'm doing this they aren't only ignoring my emails they're actively making up lies to justify screwing me over by getting my car towed to an impound lot. Why else would they make up such a lie? Don't let this be you

I bought a high end car here recently. This place is my favourite dealership in the area now. The staff is amazing. They give you a fair price on a trade like no other place I have experienced. We have a group of car enthusiasts that now deal with them for buying cars outside the area and bringing them to Halifax. I highly recommend this dealership!

Absolutely HORRIBLE service. I had called into the service department and was answered by Adam Flight. Once answered, I had said I had a question to ask. His response (after a sigh into the phone) was that he was way too busy to answer any questions, and that I should try calling back. But don't call back today, he told me to try calling back ANOTHER day. This is not the first time I have had this response. I asked to speak with someone else, but apparently nobody else works there. I'm glad they value their customers ...

The drop off and pick up were seamless. My only complaint would be that when I got home and checked my receipt the milage was incorrect if I hadn't,t noticed that would it mean my warranty wouldn't have been valid? I did call and they adjusted their records. A shuttle would have been nice but understandable due to the pandemic

We've owned our 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross for just over a month and have visited the Steele Mitsubishi service department recently for our winter tire package installation. Our sales professional, Jason Carlson, was very accommodating, made us comfortable with the purchase process and kept in constant communication with us. Our Eclipse Cross was completely prepped (including a full tank of fuel) when we took delivery. Our visit to the service department for our winter tire/wheel package was smooth and painless. Our vehicle was washed and our "summer" wheels were wrapped and loaded for us. Paperwork was comprehensive. We're very satisfied with our experiences with Steele Mitsubishi so far. And as far as our Eclipse Cross is concerned - we absolutely love it! Non-stop trouble with the service department. I have came for several recalls and now I have learned to call before I come to ensure they have the parts. They book recalls when they do not even have the parts to do them. They have made me wait before put the car up on the hoist and they never even had the parts. I also had to reschedule my own appointment for when the parts come in. They will also text you and offer you car deals you never even signed up for.
We found Dustin Rudolph very easy to talk to. Also, he was always there for us - whether it was to bring a car by our residence to test drive or many little things like connecting our mobile phones to the car using the blue tooth facility.
Stay AWAY from these CROOKS - Over charge for everything - Shop Around outside before going here for service - Advisor - JORDEN LEWIS has no clue about customer service - Service quote here was doucble the price what I got from another place - watch your charges on service bill _ NEVER GOING BACK HERE FOR SERVICE OR RECOMEND ANYONE - STAY AWAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two times I booked appointments to have my winter tires put on my vehicle and both times waited hours past my appointment time until finally I just left with my winter tires and will have them put on by someone else. Very slow and unprofessional service.
EDIT: Louis from steele mitsubishi got back to me on this matter in no time at all, and they fixed me up on their dime. He's also very pleasant to deal with, if you have an issue, talk to him. purchased a 2016 outlander in September, about a month driving the vehicle it started to get very loud, I suspected a exhaust leak or a broken gasket so I called and made an appointment (I had to anyway to grab my winter tires), they inspected it and told me it needed over $1000 of exhaust work/parts. they explained that it happens over time, driving conditions, weather ect. (i drove this vehicle for the remainder of the summer, and noticed around mid October) this vehicle had a brand new inspection when I purchased therefor I was hoping they would accommodate. I didn't get extra warranty so there was nothing they could do. super disappointing to be dealing with this so soon after making such a big purchase. and I certainly wouldn't be writing this if I drove the thing for a winter at the very least. I understand not getting extra warranty doesn't really give me leverage, I just thought that since they clearly sold me a broken vehicle(with a new mvi) that there may have been something.

I had a very good experience at the service centre. I was greeted by Ria who was very friendly and got everything started right away. She even offered for her team to do a complimentary inspection of the car after they had done the outstanding recalls. The complimentary inspection uncovered a few very minor things, which I did not feel pressured to fix right away, something I have experienced in the past at other dealerships. The inspection even came with a video sent right to my cell phone explaining exactly what these minor issues were, and what could wait and what needs to be done sooner rather than later. I was treated fairly and with respect by this group of professionals, which is something I rarely experience at any other service centre, being an eighteen year old. I received a follow up message from Ria the following day thanking me for my service once again. Working in the customer service industry myself, I can see that every measure is being taken here to provide a quality customer experience. I will be returning to this centre for my next service.

I have brought my car in for service at this location a few times now. Every single time the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They have a really nice lounge area with wifi, coffee, water, and a TV. When the staff notices the TV is off, they let you know you can turn it on and watch whatever you want. Throughout my service, the staff keeps me up to date on what is going on with my service. They are upfront and honest. I highly recommend taking your car here!
My overall experience was awesome.. I visited 4 dealership but I couldn’t get the vehicle but Steele Mitsubishi I went though they took time but came with positive reply and specially Mark the finance manager he helped me to get the vehicle. I have got a nice car thanks to manny the sales advisor so overall I am very happy.. thanks all for help

The worst service and parts department I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I own a 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander. The service department conducted work on my vehicle that they were only guessing what the problem was. I eventually took it to a transmissions place to get the truth. The parts department when I was inquiring about a part they told me they didn't have the part and they couldn't help me. Here's a thought maybe offer to order it.

Adam Flight treated me as if I was a guest at a fine hotel. He explained everything including the cost of the work that was needed. This included a video of the undercarriage of my car showing all the areas I wanted checked out and an explanation of the condition of each item. The waiting area was adjacent to the Steele Mitsubishi show room and felt like a fine hotel. The little extras of wifi, coffee service and a free car wash made this the best auto repair service I’ve ever experienced.

Never again, first and last time for service. Took car for a brake service immediately after a smoking hot caliper. Told me nothing they could do, call roadside assistance. Almost 400 bucks and they caused more damage than good. If it wasn’t for there “warranty” i wouldn’t have come here in the first place. Never again. Cost more than an Acura service, and the service was no where near what Acuras have. Tried a different brand, but I stick to Honda/acura.
Great coffee and waiting area. Staff is very helpful without being pushy. Sales team is top notch, very helpful and willing to do whatever they can to get you the deal you want. Just purchased my 3rd vehicle through them today, couldn't be happier, and they are dog friendly.

For those of you who, like I also did at one time, feel distrust and skepticism about having car dealerships service your vehicle, you may want to try Steele Mitsubishi as I did. My original distrust of dealers came about as a result of a long ago bad experience at a Halifax dealership that no longer exists, when I took my car in for what I thought was a relatively minor repair, only to emerge with a long laundry list of expensive work the dealer urged me to agree to. Fortunately, I didn't, instead getting a second opinion at a local non-dealer mechanic, who crossed off virtually every repair on the list. I followed his advice, and the car drove well for some time. Recently, however, I took my car into Steele, and was promptly looked after and sent a video of the mechanic running through all the important parts of the car and concluding that the car was in such good condition that no repairs were needed. Quite a contrast from the former experience!

I was in a hurry and worried about the lights that came on my dash. I had no appointment but Adam handled everything for me. Had my rental ready when there. I just had to sign and go. Turned out to be something minor but the great service o received made it all the more pleasant.
This was an amazing visit. I have a loyalty card and was not questioned about it in any way. I was sent a video about the life of my brakes, tires and filters by a very pleasant sounding man and was treated very respectfully while in the building and upon my arrival with a staff ushering me ahead. Particularly love the video of my vehicle showing details of wear on existing tires, along with showing clogged engine filter and air filter which needed replacing. I had my RVR in at STeele Mitsubishi on june 20th,2020 for service.I was met by RIA,,, such a lovely young lady very friendly,and Attractive if I may add. She had my vehicle in for serviice right away,and talked to me about some issues that needed attention..and when completed,promptly let me know so I could be on my way...I must add that she wasnt doing a lot of chatter about how my car worked,unlike some of the previous female advisers..She stuck to the point and did her job as good as anyone could do.I hope I am lucky enough to have her for a service advisor on my next visit...A nice person that did a really great job...cheers

Have you ever walked into a dealership and been treated like a hobo???? I have until I walked into Steele Mitsubishi on Kempt Road in Halifax, where I was treated like their only customer. I had a 2017 Lancer LE all picked out when I went in, and nobody tried to convince me to look at something different. Instead the salesperson Jason Carlson, immediately took me to finance manager Mark Tinney who immediately went to work on getting me financing. He managed to have Sarah Rudolph on board looking for financing for me as well. Between the two of them I ended up with the car that I wanted and a finance rate that I could afford. the service was absolutely spectacular and I could not have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend anybody looking for a new or new to them vehicle, whether your credit is great whether it's bad or you just don't have any, to go into Steele Mitsubishi first. My credit was questionable.....They had an amazing used car selection as well as new. So one happy camper later, I'm in my 2017 Lancer and absolutely thrilled about it. I will never buy a car somewhere else. I've been into three other dealerships and was treated right off the get-go when I was honest about my situation, like a hobo. So guys even if it's not Mitsubishi you go to go to the Steele group.
