Great place to deal with. I have serviced my Caravan there for a few years and recently the AC went out. Come to find out it was a nightmare $2900 out of warranty repair. Chrysler Canada was amazing to deal with and help out as well as the local dealer on there end who completed the work quickly and also went out of their way to work with HQ to help on costs. It was awesome all around as I felt that everyone from Chysler Canada roght down to the Service desk at Halifax Dodge worked hard to make the best of this difficult situation! Thanks again guys!!!!

BUYERS BEWARE!!!! If you buy a hemi know that every two years or less you will have to replace manifold studs and gaskets!!!! This has been ongoing on the hemi since 2009 and dodge doesn't care at all!! $1500 to do both sides and this will be the second time for my 2013 ram 1500. The first time was covered under factory warranty but this time is not! I bought a $4000 aftermarket warranty on my used truck and they will not cover the cost other than $400 so I'm on the hook for $700. Waste of money to buy the warranty. The dealership wasn't bad to deal with but I'll be trading this Ram in for a Toyota as soon as I can.

Took an appointment for my car inspection 3 weeks ago, was told to come at 7:30 am to be among the first ones to be taken in charge. I come on time this morning and am told this should take 2 hrs. I go to the starbucks to wait until 10:30 (3 hours later) and call to have an update. I am told the car is just entering the shop? Like seriously ? Nothing happened on my car for the first three hours and now I have to wait 2 more hours? And what is the point of making an appointment if it doesn't book a spot for you? Why have other vehicles, without appointments, been taken in charge before mine? I had to make arrangements for this. Does it mean I could have dropped the car any other day ? I brougt my car here for the first time thinking service would be better than a generalist garage, what a disappointment , what a waste of time!

Took my vehicle in to have the tires changed, and an alignment due to having a limited edition car, I didn't want to chance damaging the rims at my regular shop. When I went to pick up my vehicle, the read outs were in miles, and 3 of the 4 tires were reading under inflated. I walked into the service bay, (I was the only customer around, not even another vehicle in there being worked on) and told the lady working at the desk. Her response was "check your owners manual for how to switch back to kilometers, and our air hose is over there if you want to fill your tires more. Im sorry.. I guess I walked into the DIY service centre, and not the Halifax Chrysler service centre. To top it all off my bill was $257 for a tire change and alignment. Needless to say, I won't be back.

Body fill , welding marks , pieces missing the list is huge! this was supposed to be a new vehicle at 2800km .. plus we Got a 2016 caravan from them great deal that was , but the Jeep I will never buy one again .. totally ripped off on that one!! For the second time in 3 months, I have gone in for an oil change and been told it will be "hours" before my Jeep can be looked at. I have to drive 90 min round trip to bring my Jeep for any maintenance. The fact that no one contacted me asking if I wanted to reschedule or even sating that they are sorry for the inconvenience, was not professional. If one of the previous reviews I read was accurate, and their booking agents are actually call centre employees, that speaks volumes about how much the owners of the dealership care about their customers and their service. If this has happened to me twice in a short time frame, how many more people has this happened to?

I have never encountered a more shady business. I got this vehicle a month ago, and I come to find out there are two rusts spots due to corrosion. I spoke with the used car Manager, and he advised that I “should’ve looked the car over” and that isn’t their fault as it’s up to the customer to notice these things. This is a 24,000 dollar car, that is four years old, and I never assumed that there would be a need to look for rust spots. I’m just in shock at the way I was treated. Do not shop from this dealership. I’ve never been treated so poorly by someone so unprofessional.

Disappointing Service...Made an appointment days in advance, Knowing/advising what was needing to be fixed on my vehicle. Upon dropping it off a little before the scheduled appointment time for 8:15am, the day of. They asked if I needed it back for a particular time of day, I advised them that I didn’t, and could pick it up at the end of the service day. Just after 2:30pm I decided to call to see how it was coming along or if they may have finished the job. They had me hold for a few minutes, only to let me know they were just in the diagnostics stage for checking the problem, and they call me back once they knew what was going on. I knew then I had wasted my time taking it to them. They call me back about 15 minutes later to advise me what was wrong with the vehicle, which I had already told them the day I called and made the appointment, along with confirming, telling them when I had dropped it off to be serviced! They also said two of the parts needed to be ordered, and one would take about two weeks to get in. So a waste of a day and time for nothing. I called and arrange with a local garage later that day, and they were able to get the parts in and repair it three days later. Seems HCDJ is only good for recalls, oil changes, installing accessories and warranty work! I only heard bad reviews from others who went there, telling me not too, for repairs outside of warranty work, only to be able to confirm it for myself.

If there was an option for no stars that is what I would have to choose. From the first second I knew we should have went elsewhere. Started with the arrogant salesman who wouldnt speak to me and answered all my questions in my husbands direction even though im the one buyng the truck. To the rudeness of the mgr of the finance dept she was a treat I have never been more disappointed in a business. It has been 2 years and not one positive experience. I have tried to deal with the service department nope. The wonderful warranty I had to purchased twice because the first truck had to be returned because the first 2 weeks i had it in the service department more then it was in my driveway seems to cover nothing. They Knew nothing about what should and shouldnt be covered! You Went on about the lovely undercoat product saying we wouldn't need to undercoat for 7 years BS now our paint is bubbling and we were told the warranty doesn't come in to affect because it's not rusted out...so I'm suppose to just let my truck rust out! What a load of crap I wouldn't buy a 25 cent bubble gum from you, and I will make sure I let people know why! Thanks for not standing behind your product!!!!

I took my Jeep Cherokee in to get some advice on a transmission issue I was experiencing. I called, described the problem on the phone and then booked an appointment. I showed up 5 mins early for my appointment, and they acted like they didn't have any idea I was coming in. I waited 3 hours before anyone even saw the Jeep, only to get a report, and not being able to talk with the technician, saying they drove it for 10 minutes and couldn't replicate the problem, so $50 please. Not only did they not do a sufficient assessment, I had even told them the car only acts up after it's warmed up and needs to be driven for more than 10 minutes, but they also charged $50 for an assessment transmission shops do for free, and do more thoroughly. I have since taken the Jeep to Dan's Transmission in Dartmouth and Mr. Transmission on Almon, and both places did an hour long assessment both driving the Jeep and hooking it up to a scanner, at no charge. They were also prepared for me and didn't have me wait 3 hours before anyone even saw my vehicle. Halifax Chrysler also had these small surcharges on the bill, including an $8.00 fee for the paper they put down on my seats to "keep it clean." Thank you for thinking of that, but why not just include that as part of your customer service, instead of charging the customer for customer service? Was really not happy and will never be taking the Jeep back.

I received a really poor service while ordering a duplicate key. I first received half of the price details. Eventually they were kind enough to offer labour on this very expensive service. Then, I think they forgot to place the order but told me that supplier were short in goods which I do not believe it due to what happened later. I eventually received the key 3 weeks or more later. When they call to book an appointment to get the key programmed they would not book for a Saturday morning and insisted that I should come weekdays from 9am-5pm and that there was no other option. I argued that I could not so that because I was working which is when things got crazy with their Service manager named Kevin Hart. He told me that I should not have lost the key in the first place! So, Kevin was literally giving me lecture when people losing keys give them business. And then, he blamed me because I already wrote a review in google for the other Ram dodge location in Halifax which had nothing to do with what I was trying to get sorted with him... He eventually told me that he would make a technician coming ONLY FOR ME on a Saturday. The conversation did not go well at well because Kevin thought he could teach me life but was not getting what he wanted from me the Customer. I eventually got a call back from their department who confirms appointment and the nice lady over the phone confirmed that they always offer this kind of services on Saturday too.... I was shocked to hear that Kevin was just trying to play a game with me because he did not like my comment that was not directed to him but to the experience at the other location and because he just wanted to bother me. I felt abused as a customer and I have no trust what so ever in this service and dealership.

After a negative experience with another dealer I had the opportunity to visit Halifax Chrysler for the first time. I had a laundry list of issues with a brand new vehicle I had just purchased. I was introduced to Allen the service manager and explained my frustration and disappointment with my last dealership. Allan went out of his way to make time for me, listen carefully to my issues and address all of them in a professional and courteous way. I rarely write a review but felt I had to. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a dealership. Specifically the Service Dept. I booked my truck in 2 weeks prior to get my PCM re programmed. It is an older truck but in excellent shape. Anyway, I arrive for my appointment, do the necessary paperwork and go to the waiting room. One hour and 30 minutes later they come and tell me their system is down and they cant do it. OK, annoyed for waiting so long to tell me but these things happen. So, we book it in for the next morning. I go in, take a seat in the waiting room. She returns one hour later and tells me my truck is too old and they don't have the correct cable. Did they not realise this the previous day? I wasted 2 mornings for nothing. Didn't even get an apology . Called Dodge in Dartmouth and they can fit me in tomorrow morning. And he knew exactly the cable I needed and went to be sure it was there. And it is. Will NEVER go to Dodge Bayers Lake again. Their customer service is appalling.

I went here to look into buying an SUV. The sales person told me the price was pretty firm but there was some room to bargain. This was before I test drove it. I really liked the car, so I asked the sales person what the best cash proce would be. The sales person came back with the asking price taxes and fee in. DO NOT SERVICE YOUR CAR HERE! I have been going to this location for 3 yrs and I just started noticing the extra costs. So, my battery was dying and the car wouldnt start - I knew it was the battery; however, I was told I had to run a diagnostic for $100. It ended up being the battery. Phil told me that it would cost $100 to put in the battery because the battery was underneath the manifold, they would have to raise up the car to put in the battery from underneath. I looked at him and said, "you and I know that the battery is on top.... I was not born yesterday!" He said, "oh yeah, some are." So, he charged me $30 to put it in. I decided to never come to this location again. It gets worse though! Last spring when I had my summer tires put on, Phil told me that I needed new brake pads. I said that I couldn't afford them at the moment, but he said that I should replace them at the end of the summer. So today, I went to the Dartmouth Chrysler and told them what was said. They checked my brakes (for free) and said that I had 3/4 of my brake pads left and said that they would not change them for me because then they would be ripping me off. So, moral of the storey is this place is a RIP OFF! I am going to report them to the business bureau because it just isn't right. I would recommend the Dartmouth location - that is where I will be going from now on!

This has been the first experience dealing with Halifax Chrysler, I was drawn to the dealership due to the large variety of Dodge Ram trucks that appealed to me. From the moment I spoke to the dealership I was treated with professionalism and offered the vehicle I was interested in immediately to test drive. The entire process was very well managed and handled in a timely fashion. I originally met with Brian for the initial test drive and Brian was very helpful however due to unavailability of Brian to suit my schedule Brian requested Jake to take the lead on the deal. My wife and I were driving from Moncton to Halifax to visit family when the truck began to stumble, and the check engine light came on. We were towing a trailer at the time so I was pretty worried. Of course it's a Saturday so I wasn't expecting to find much help. To my surprise, when I called Halifax Chrysler not only was their service department open, I spoke with Ramona and she was fantastic! 2013 Caravan didn't last 7 years! We bought it new, still have a year and a quarter of payments but not a working transmission :(. If you want to buy a Dodge, factor in $5000 extra for a new transmission. Then go buy from a manufacturer that makes a decent transmission in the first place.

Full Marks. Found a used Dodge Caravan on Autotrader. Located it at Halifax Dodge Chrysler Bayers Lake. Phoned over and was connected to Cory McIsaac. Went over and took a drive. Got treated like family. The car was clean, minor repairs had been done, clean MVI. There was a minor dent on the front fender. I had it repaired as an extra. Cory organized the dentless repair folk to come over and get it done with minor touchup. I drove away a happy customer.

January 20th I had an appointment with Rick Keseluk to talk about the chance to trade in maybe my 2012 RAM (I bought it also at the same place) and get a new one. We had a really nice and very professional conversation and after I had all numbers I needed I went home and promised Rick to let him know my decision next day. Next morning I called Rick and I told him I would be on the way to him and interested to buy a new RAM and later on I was talking to Bill MacIntyre to finish the deal. Sad that I had no time that day to wait for the confirmation from the bank cause i had to go to work but 5 days later I called Bill to let him know when I would be there to sign all the paperwork. Friday the 29th I signed the paperwork everything except the transfer of the plate was ready when I arrived and rough 1.5 hrs later I left Chrysler with my new RAM, It was a pleasure to deal with Rick and also with Bill and there is a reason for that I bought my second RAM at this place it is the professionalism of their employees Thanks Rick

Came in late Friday two weeks ago. tire pressure was low. worried I had a flat tire. and I was right! drove into the drive through with no appointment and the took my car right in! They WILL over charge you for any service done and will add extra cost later as well BE WARE. i went there last week to get my dodge looked at as i was having some issues. After taking a look at my car (taking it for a ride and burning my gas) they came to a conclusion that it was my spark plugs that needed to be replaced. They told me it would be $40 DOLLARS for EACH spark plug... i told them to stop the job as i could get them for wayyyy cheaper,,, They told me they would be charging me over $450 to get my spark plugs replaced!!! they clearly thought i had no knowledge on parts or prices but thank god i did. I'm extremely disappointed to see places doing this to this extent. especially at times like these. at the end of it all they charged me $150 for taking a look at it, i didn't see a problem with this until i saw that they charged me $20 for parts.... i have no clue where this business pulls these prices from but its completely unethical, please go somewhere else.
